The Beast You’ve Made Of Me.
Tumblr media
Premise: After moving to the town of San Dimas in 1990, you figured it was nothing more but a small town filled with like minded drama. You’ve been uprooted mid senior year because of your “behavioral problems”, as your mother would put it, and it hasn’t been easy fitting in. Lucky you, you find the one person there you can really trust, your sweet and loving boyfriend Ted. It’s the night of a big party out in the woods, one last hurrah before the end of your senior year, and you debut you and Ted as a couple. The drama from that gossip turns out to be the least of your worries when your boyfriend is dragged away mid smoke sesh by something from the woods. When he reappears later, distant, and uninterested in seeing you, you begin to wonder what’s really going on. You soon learn that the town of San Dimas, California is hiding more secrets than you thought.
One thing you know for sure, you have to be careful when the moon is full…

“Isn't it supposed to rain tonight?” You overhear one of the other party goers say shyly as pewter clouds churn overhead.
“Yeah, but it ain’t raining yet!” One of the ‘future-frat-boy’ seniors belts out followed by the howls of his pack, otherwise known as the San Dimas football team.
“Well, you know what they say about being out on a full moon…” One of the popular girls complains in a whiny tone, allowing an in for the jocks to make fun of her which for all they know could be flirting.
“Ohhh, someone's scared of the big bad wolf?” They tease while mimicking wolfish noises loudly.
Despite the stars being blocked out by threatening storm clouds, the full moon rules bright between tuffs of gray, an amber ring echoing around it. You watch it, perplexed by its color, not watching your step as you hike towards the lodge. Your white converse hits an uncovered mossy root and for a second you think you will already start to embarrass yourself for the night by falling in front of everyone.
Then, a gentle hand helps to steady your elbow, the other resting on your lower back, your tight, cream crop top exposing the skin there.
“Hey, easy now…” You hear the soft tones of your boyfriend's voice whisper to you.
You turn towards him, a small smile pulling at the corners of your glossy lips as you look into his comforting brown eyes. He returns the smile and gives your cheek a gentle peck.
You and Ted haven’t been dating long, you didn’t have the chance to.
After everything that happened at your last school, your mother thought best to pull you out in the middle of your senior year and plant you here in San Dimas, California.
It was different from what you were used to, and in other ways all the same. The clique-y drama, rumors that somehow snowball out of control, and your mother’s expectations of you being the perfect preppy daughter, her highschool mini me. Only problem was the move and your reputation nullified any chance at being prom queen, valedictorian, or dating the quarterback. Hey, at least you managed to make the cheerleading squad and your grades up. That seemed to keep her off your back for the most part.
Sure, your mother still doesn’t know you are dating one of the San Dimas High School’s resident stoners, but she wouldn’t understand anyways. Ted was an escape from the prim and proper world of suburbia, someone who liked to have fun and be himself, not to mention completely head over heels for you. It felt good to be loved, felt good to have a home in him.
You watch as fairy lights cast a glow behind him, almost throwing a little halo in his dark brown hair. You feign confidence as members of the SDHS’s student body watch you walk in with Ted, a few whispers already happening behind red solo cups. As you two go through the cabin to the back yard, you can tell Ted notices your tension rise, and his thumb creates comforting circles on your skin.
“Say the word, and we’ll go.” His voice says low and slow in your ear, breath tickling you there.
You give a small head shake, and Ted nods, keeping on as if he has no worries. The happy-go-lucky energy he gives off calms you. You lean into him, sweeping your long ponytail away from your neck.
Up until now, Ted Logan had mainly been a secret you kept all to yourself, but the prying eyes around you could never make you doubt how good of a boyfriend he was. You were too in love not to be confident about that.
______
The bonfire that the football team constructed was actually quite impressive, you had to give them credit there since manual labor was their forte. You snuggle into Ted’s orange jacket that he’s wrapped around you, inhaling the scent of cheap body spray and marijuana. The warmth of the fire prickles your cheeks as Ted strategically toasts a marshmallow beside you. Your chin finds a home on his shoulder, relaxing into his body.
The chatter of the rest of the party drones on with bursts of laughter cutting up the monotones. You know that this isn’t the usual crowd for Ted, but he seems at home as ever, whispering little jokes to you as he enjoys the night despite cross looks from others. You’re sure there will be more talk on Monday about how you don’t deserve to be on the cheer squad if you’re going to be hanging out with burnouts and stoners like Ted Logan, but that doesn't matter. It was only a week before the end of the year, and then you’d be free of highschool forever. Tonight, you were going to enjoy being a senior with your boyfriend without shame.
”Hey,” Ted leans into you, holding out a perfectly brown marshmallow and gently popping it in your mouth when you open it. “Do you wanna go smoke? There’s a little dock to the lake that I know…”
He looks at you with a shy half-smile, and despite the fact that he knows you like getting high just as much as him, he still acts nervous to ask one of the cheerleaders to do something so improper. You nod, mouth full of sweet marshmallow fluff, and let him help you stand up. No one really notices when the two of you slip away from the beacon of light and into the dark forest full of summer greens.
Ted guides you, the trail a bit hard to see in the dark, but not impossible.
“It’s not too far away from here,” You hear him say beside you, as well as the other night noises of the forest humming along.
You let him take your hand into his warm one, an arm wrapped around the small of your waist to keep you safe from almost falling once more. You don’t know what it is about Ted, but you just trust him. Like, completely, utterly trust him despite only knowing him for a few months. He’s not like the other boys at school, who you have to watch your drink with, have to be careful of ending up alone with. No, Ted really only has your best interest in mind, and you feel safe with him right now.
That’s why when you hear a low howl off in the distance you cling into his body, freezing up for a moment.
“What was that?” You say, trying not to let the tinge of panic rise in your voice.
“Probably just a coyote,” Ted starts to explain, his voice soft and soothing.
“It sounded like a wolf…” You whisper as another howl responds to the first.
“Wolves aren’t usually out this way,” Ted reassures with a small laugh. “And we’re only a five minute walk away from everyone else. Three if we run.”
“Do we have to run?” You try to look up at his face, but the moonlight is concealed by the clouds at the moment, so all you see is shadows.
“No, no,” He backpedaled. “We’re going to be fine, babe. Just the sounds of the forest, is all.”
You feel his hand gently rubbing your back, and the motion calms you down. You take a deep breath, and let him keep walking you forward. Soon enough, you walk through a clearing, and the world seems to open up once more from the claustrophobia of the forest.
The lake ebbs and flows, making splashing noises against the dark rocks on its coast. You can barely tell what’s in there, the water a deep color of black, small sparklings shining off as the moon begins to find its way out once more.
Your shoes knock against the wood of the docks, creaking as you make your way down, eyes starting to get used to the dark. You take a seat at the end letting your legs dangle off the edge. You settle in, slipping your converse and socks off, your feet dipping into the cool water. Your previous fear in the forest starts to settle down as you listen to the calming waters.
Ted gently opens his jacket that you’re still wearing, and pulls a joint and a lighter from the inner pocket, giving you a kiss after as if he’s thankful that you let him grab it. You watch as his face lights up from the small orange glow of the lighter, the joint hanging lazily out of the corner of his mouth. For a second, you feel a blush coming up to your cheeks as you appreciate how adorable he looks.
He takes a deep inhale of the joint, holding it in for a second, then coming closer. You know what he wants to do, and welcome his soft, full lips onto yours. He parts your lips slowly, letting you feel the smoke from his lungs exhale into yours, tendrils of smoke floating up from the spaces your lips didn’t fully close around. You let his air fill your lungs, then deepen the kiss while trying not to let any spill out. Finally, you must pull away, breathing out once more and feeling heat in more than just your cheeks.
This little ritual of yours continues until you hear something rustling in the brush behind you. Your eyes feel warm and heavy, and you slowly turn your attention towards the sound, the dark of the night keeping whatever’s there hidden.
“Did you hear that?” You say without turning towards Ted.
“Hear what?” Ted’s voice is soft and lazy.
You say nothing, trying to force your ears to hear something within the hum of the night. The feeling of the hair on the back of your neck raises, a sense of being watched beginning to flood your body.
Crunch. Crunch. Crunch.
“I think someone’s out there…” You try to speak as quietly as possible.
“Probably someone else from the party trying to find somewhere quiet.” Ted whispers back, then calls out towards the noise. “Hey! Spot already taken, find a new one, dudes!”
You know your boyfriend isn’t trying to be dismissive, not trying to make the fear in you rise, but you find yourself trying to hush him anyways. He stands from the edge of the dock, and you find yourself pulling your feet from the lake, water dripping onto the wood.
A low growl escapes the tree line.
“Ted, I don’t think that’s another student.” Your hands are already clutching his forearm, and with another snarl from the darkness, you feel Ted take a step back.
Both of you are wordless, unmoving as a pair of yellow eyes glint in the moonlight from the overgrown brush.
“Ted…” You don’t know what he could even do, but he was your only solace now as the blood in your body beats harder.
Those yellow eyes flick towards you, the sound of your voice and the tremble in your legs already sorting you out as the weaker one. Ted’s arm pulls over your chest protectively, and feel his body brace.
“Can you swim?” His never serious tone has flipped on its head.
“Y-yes.” Is all you can say, fear taking hold in your legs, freezing them to the spot.
You don’t have much time to think as something your eyes can’t even comprehend stalks from the forest towards you. It had the face of a wolf, muzzle too long, teeth too sharp, body too human. Its teeth are bared and ready, hands ending in dark, thick claws. In the split second before its legs are ready to pounce, you feel Ted’s arm push against your chest.
In one moment, you’re frozen to your spot, fear pulsing through you as this creature breaks out in a run, eyes set on you. In the next, the cold, dark lake is taking the breath from your lungs and you watch helplessly as Ted intervenes the wolf from chasing after you. Just as you sink under the blanket of water around you, those sharp, white teeth are glinting in the moonlight and sinking into the shoulder of your boyfriend. Your lovely, sweet, kind boyfriend.
Water fills your mouth, preventing the scream from escaping.
You don’t even want to resurface, don’t even want to fight, but you know you must. Your muscles tense with strength you don’t want to give, arms wildly clutching for support you can’t find. You break through the water with a gasp, choking out the disgusting, earthy taste of the lake from your throat. Your eyes try to find your boyfriend in the darkness, your ears already hear his screaming being dragged farther and farther away from you, snarls interjecting until you hear nothing.
The moon shines down on you, a silent watcher to the night events. The sound of the water slapping against the dock and the cicadas calling out is all you can make out. The horror filling inside you has no escape, nowhere to go, falling deeper and deeper into the pit of your stomach. You float aimlessly, and when you find yourself on shaking legs, gingerly stepping out of the water, you can’t even remember how you got there.
When you stumble back towards the noise of the party, the warm light of the bonfire, no one even notices at first as you make your way there. Your arms held tight around each other, Ted’s orange jacket cold and stuck to your wet skin. Your short, flowy skirt is now suctioned against your bare thighs, and your ponytail drips down your back. You don’t even notice Ted’s blood mixing with lake water on your legs. An arm on your shoulder stops your shuttering walk, and you turn to see the concerned faces of the rest of the party.
“What happened?” One of them asks, concern genuine.
“Oh my god, is that blood?” Someone recoils from the sight.
“You’re soaking wet, where were you?” Along with other hushed inquiries.
You try to speak, but your lip just quivers without answers. The world seems too bright and big by the fire, too many faces in the sea of people beginning to huddle around you, and you doubt even half of them care about you for more than just the gossip. You recoil from hands that are seemingly forever trying to guide you somewhere.
“It…got him.” Is all you could muster as you’ve somehow found yourself sat in the dirt by the fire.
Silence follows after you speak, then hushed tones create a simmering symphony in the small crowd.
“Who? That-that…” they try to remember who you came to the party with, but you know this crowd never even cared to learn Ted’s name. “That boy you were with?”
You don’t get time to answer as a scream breaks out from the edge of the crowd.
“It’s him!” You hear a few people call.
The crowd thins out to look at what new, shiny piece of gossip for Monday they can find, and that’s when you see him.
Ted.
Your loving, wonderful boyfriend, stumbling in from the tree line. You stand, dry dirt caked on your legs, creating stains you’ll never be able to explain to your mom. You don’t even know what to do at first, you watch, feeling as if you’re looking at a ghost. You were so sure he was gone. Tears prick your red eyes, and soon enough they’re falling down your face as you’re running to him.
You see the weariness in Ted’s tired, dark eyes, his mop of brown hair haphazardly in his face, and he leans into you for support when you reach him. You can see the rips in his shirt, see the blood looking black as night, so you reach up a worried hand to apply pressure to his shoulder. All you feel is smooth, tan skin under your fingertips.
“Ted?” Worry furrows your brow.
“I’m alright,” his breath seems heavy, skin sweaty to the touch.
He looks up and sees the crowd, and to your surprise you see his teeth bared, from pain or something else, you don’t know. Then he speaks, low, almost growling, to you.
“Let’s get out of here.”
–-----
You expect the last Monday before summer to be a buzz with rumors of Friday night, that when you walk into school there will be looks, questions, people who can't even begin to understand what really happened out there. As you pass the threshold into the hot halls of San Dimas High, it's as if people are recoiling from you.
Lockers are shut, whispers halt mid sentence, and no one wants to look you in the eye. You feel completely outcast from even pretending to be normal.
What's worse, you haven't heard from Ted since you dropped him off at his house. You haven’t even returned his rusty old van, and he loves that van. You called his line a million times, and no one picked up, not even his dad to tell you to stop calling so much. Helpless doesn't even begin to describe how you feel.
You know how he looked when you dropped him off. Sweat dripping from his hair, his body hot to the touch, hotter than you thought possible. He would try to suppress groans as he directed you to his house, yet insisted on not taking him to the hospital. He stumbled into his door, slamming it behind him before you could even push your way in. You stood there, hair still wet, the cicadas singing a sad chorus to how pitiful you felt.
That was the last time you saw him.
Now, on Monday, as you approach the locker you traded with someone to be closer to his, you half expect him to be there, goofy grin and all making your morning better. Of course, there his locker was, plastered in band stickers and graffiti and…lonely. You hold Ted’s orange jacket closer to you, not having taken it off since Friday. You know how it must look, but you need it. Need to feel like he’s here with you, smell his cheap cologne on the collar, fiddle with the old bic lighter in the pocket.
You feel all eyes on you as you put your things away, but no one says a word. You feel as if you may burst into tears right there from the stress of it all when the bell rings, making you jump. Everyone knows you’re on edge now.
Classes go on, and the silence gets less and less. By lunch, hushed rumors are stirring as you try to find somewhere to sit in peace. You consider taking your tray of unappealing slop to the cheerleaders table, but of course, your typical spot is taken by someone else, signaling that you’re unwelcome. You find half of a table to sit at, and try to make it seem like you're busy by pushing around your food and gingerly biting into a red apple. It tastes like mush.
“I don’t think we'll see him before the end of school.”
“My dad says this happens every few years…”
“Yeah! Mine said his cousin went out on a full moon when they were kids and never came back…”
“Well, I guess the San Dimas curse strikes again.”
“You don't really believe that do you?”
“Either way, that guy’s probably dead.”
“Not that big of a loss, he was a burn out anyways.”
You're standing before you know it, sick of listening to everyone speculate on the person you love most, the only person here who ever cared to get to know who you really were underneath it all. Your tray is promptly dumped and the cafeteria goes hush as you walk with tears falling down your cheeks. You burst through the large, metal doors, and your sneakers squeak as they take you away.
Soon enough, you’re ditching. You know it’s more than possible that your mother will hear about this, and of course, berate you for old habits. If you’re lucky, maybe they won’t care at the end of the year. Either way, you have to know, have to find the answers that kept you from finding a wink of sleep these past 48 hours. You burst out of the school into the hot, humid air outside. Everything smells thick after the rain of the weekend, petrichor and musky. You don’t even have a car, you just let your feet beat on the hot pavement towards Ted’s house.
You two have walked back to his place countless times since you moved here, especially since you could never take him back to your house. The world is a blur of neighborhoods and mid-afternoon traffic. You don’t stop until your hand is raised at Ted’s door, ready to pound, but before you can even lay a knuckle there, the door opens, just a slice.
“Ted?” You whisper, knowing his dad is at work now, and his little brother in school.
A moment passes without a word from the otherside of the door. Maybe his dad is home, maybe something bad really did happen. You hope more than anything it’s him.
”I can’t come out.” You hear his voice, raspy and low, and for a moment you don’t think it’s really him.
“What?” You ask puzzled, moving your head to try to get a better look inside the small sliver of door that’s open. “What do you mean? Are you okay?”
“I’m not feeling well. I don’t want to…” He pauses for a long moment. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
Hurt me? What the hell does he mean by that?
“Ted, you won’t hurt me, I don’t care if you’re sick, I just wanna make sure you’re okay!” You begin to ramble, anything that keeps him talking, and potentially lets you see him.
“Go home, babe.” You can tell it kills him to say it, his voice choking up, those three words getting caught in his throat.
“I’m not going home until you tell me what’s going on, Ted Logan!” You stomp your foot without even thinking, folding your arms across your chest.
Ted says nothing. In fact, he does the single most heartbreaking thing you can think of.
He closes the door.
“Ted!” You yell, you pound on the door.
There is no response.
No matter how much you call for him, he ignores you, so you say the only thing you can think that might get to him.
“Ted, you open this door right this minute or we are OVER!”
The door swings open.
Ted, standing there in only his sweatpants, dark circles under his eyes, looking more tired than you could imagine a 18 year old boy could look. His hair is damp, plastered to his forehead as if feverish. His breath is heaving. He looks nothing like your sweet, gentle boyfriend you’ve come to know and love.
“I said,” He speaks to you in a tone he’s never done before, half begging, half demanding. “Leave…”
You stand there, confused, mouth open, unsure what to say, but not moving.
“Leave!” He snarls again, louder, hand hitting the doorframe loudly, making you flinch.
As cruel as his voice is being with you right now, his eyes say something different. He looks as if it’s all he can do to get you away from him, truly believing it for your own good.
You begin to speak, and Ted turns rapidly, slamming the front door with all his might, house seeming to shake from the impact.
That was it.
That was all you could do. Come here, try to help him, but if he wanted you away, then he got it.
You turn, walking down the sidewalk with your arms around yourself, shame and embarrassment and heartbreak heating your face and ears. You suppose you’ve lost your boyfriend after that, and over god knows what. You don’t understand what’s happening at all. You thought you did everything a good girlfriend would, but maybe you made a mistake. And even if you did, could you two not talk about it? You let out a half sob as the pain in your heart tenses up, holding your breath to try to keep it in until you can safely let it all out.
Tears of hurt and anger slip down your face. Frustrated, you make your way home.
That was the last time you saw Ted Logan, for a while, at least.
————
The end of your senior year came and went. The talk died down, and just like predicted, Ted never returned to school for his final days. You knew he was alive, at the very least, but nothing else.
Graduation took place on a Saturday, a week or so after the last day. Everyone else cheered, watched as the schools wolf mascot was finally revealed to be some half popular nerd, the valedictorian gave a speech about how the best days of our lives were yet to come, threw their caps in the air when it was all said and done.
You sat, holding your diploma and hat, finger tracing the square edge while thinking about how Ted was supposed to be here. You two worked so hard to get his grades up so he could pass and his dad wouldn’t send him away to Alaska for military school. Maybe he really went through with that threat, for all you knew.
Either way, it had been a month since you had seen Ted Logan.
A month of lonely nights, your hidden stash of weed getting smaller and smaller as you self medicate in your room, and still you think of him. You blow smoke out the window at night, sometimes thinking you heard the sounds of rustling leaves out there, then dismissing it.
Who would want to stalk around your suburban home anyways?
————
You soon got tired of being holed up in the house all summer, and find it surprisingly easy to call up some of your old school friends to see what everyone else has been up to. You thought after everything that went down last time, you would be a social outcast. Turns out, they were more than willingly to invite you, some even more than vocal about wondering where you’d been. You know they have no real care for your wellbeing, but decide to go to one of the jocks upcoming parties.
And that’s how you find yourself anxious to see anyone other than your mother on a Friday night. You curl the ends of your high ponytail so the curls bounce at the nape of your neck, blow drying a mess of bangs in the front until they look pristine. A baby blue mini dress and some pumps later, and you’re feeling a bit more like yourself for the first time in a while. You finish everything off with a bow on your hair tie the color of marshmallows.
Soon enough, you’re driving to the outskirts of San Dimas, letting the A/C keep you cool on this June night. Some farm boy jock was hosting a barn party way out here, and you knew it was probably stupid to come. Best case, everyone feels to awkward to interact with you, worst case, they ask you questions incessantly about Ted’s disappearance and the last outing you were at.
Still, somehow, you tell yourself, this is better than Friday night alone watching reruns on the family T.V.
The moon is almost full, an orange hue clear and bright in the sky, it’s light guiding you to your destination.
It is easier than you thought to find your way there, despite not knowing the area. A few wrong turns and a right, and you’re pulling into the grass front lawn with 20 other cars or so. The barn is already lit up, spilling light and sound from inside. You open your door, struck with the heat of the night, already feeling your makeup begin to melt into your skin. Heels weren’t the best idea for the terrain, but at least you looked hot.
You pass a few straggling people hanging on the front porch of the old farm house, and one calls you over.
“Hey!” You see a few semi familiar faces, but hardly know them other than going to school together for the last few months.
They seem to know you though, so you walk up the groaning old wooden steps, and smile. Before you can even speak, one of the girls interrupts, as if she would explode if she didn’t say it.
“So, you like, have no idea about the San Dimas curse, huh?”
”Come on, Jenny, don’t get into that.” Her presumed boyfriend groans, and ‘Jenny’ keeps going.
“No, but for real, like you’re new so you wouldn’t know right?” You can see she’s dying to tell you more, so you simply shake you head.
“Curse? What curse?” You try to say casually, your interest piqued, but not wanting to show it.
“Oh here we go…!” Another girl groans, then reaches into a cooler next to her, handing you a can of beer. “Here, you’ll need this to get through this one.”
Everyone laughs before Jenny gets their attention back.
“Hey! Hey! She’s the newbie, so she deserves to know, especially after everything that happened…” As she trails, everyone looks to see your reaction, but you’re looking down at the condensation on the cold can.
“Alright, well, I’m all ears.” You shrug, looking back up, meeting their eyes.
“So,” Jenny turns serious. “San Dimas has this, like, ‘curse’, right? I mean, we don’t really know what else to call it, but that seems right enough.”
“Anyways, every ten years or so, someone goes missing. Not that unusual, sure, that just happens sometimes, but it seems to happen like clock work, okay?” Her blue eyes are big, like she really believes this, but the crowd still has unsure snickers of doubt. “Well, that’s not the only odd part, is it? No, because it happens whenever the moon is full-“
A jock grabs his buddy and annoyingly cuts Jenny off with a howl.
“Hush! It’s true, okay! They always go missing during the full moon. Always in the woods, always mysteriously. Not to mention, the sightings!” Jenny continues, trying to tame the crowd in her favor. “Folks say there’s something stalking out in those woods, something big, something not human. Say it’s got claws, teeth sharper than a dogs, head like a-“
“Oh yes, the werewolf sightings, told by old men who don’t even remember what they saw out there.” A few agreeable sounds follow the jocks interruption.
“Well, that’s what I’m saying! She saw it!” Jenny points to you like you’re her key to all this, her evidence that the curse is real. “You did, didn’t you? What did you see out there when that thing took your boyfriend?”
All eyes turn to you, all curious to hear, to know what you really saw. Dark flashes from that night bubble up in your mind, flashes of that beast, biting into Ted and dragging him away. You open your mouth, but nothing comes out. Just as you might have had an answer on the tip of your tongue, someone interrupts you.
“You don’t really believe those old stories do you?” You turn, your heart already racing at the sound of that voice.
His voice.
Ted Logan stands on the porch of the old farm house with a grin. Everyone is silent as Ted’s eyes graze across your body, practically eating you up where you stand. The yellow of the naked bulb above seeps into his dark eyes, and for a second you think there’s something wrong with them. No, must be the lights, playing tricks on your eyes. Ted watches you closely, examining your reaction.
“Besides, not much of a curse when the ‘missing person’ is right here.” Another voice joins Ted, and you notice someone with Ted.
Everyone waits to see where this will go, the social pressure to speak building up in you. Ted always knew you hated being the center of attention like this, and you watch as he smirks at your unease, almost exuding cockiness, but you can’t believe it. Your Ted Logan? He would never act in such a way…
Ted holds out a hand.
“Why don’t we speak somewhere more privately.” His voice is more serious now, tone lower.
You know you should just stay here, ignore him after everything he’s done, but you find your hand in his warm, large one, leading you away. Your heels click off the porch onto the grass as the crowd you’ve left begins to dissect what’s just happened. The man Ted arrived with follows, and you frown towards his direction.
“Who is he?” Your eyes narrow at the stranger, hair bouncing as you walk towards the back of the barn with them.
“He’s my…my…” Ted can’t seem to find the right word..
“Cousin.” The other responds, a devilish grin on his lips.
“R-right! Cousin!” Ted affirms. “This is Bill.”
Cousin? This guy was like a foot shorter than Ted, big blue eyes, and a mess of blond curls on top. They looked nothing alike, and yet, there was something…An aura of sorts, if you had to describe it. Something that seemed to link the two, either in attitudes or something else your basic senses couldn’t pick up on. Either way, you doubted more than anything they were cousins, and you were going to get to the bottom of this one way or another.
”I don’t know who you think you are showing up out of nowhere like nothing happened, Ted!” You hiss in his direction as you all round the corner of the barn, and Bill snickers at your remark.
“Relax, babe, can’t you just be happy to see me?” Ted scoffs at your attitude, making your rage grow.
You can’t help yourself, you slap him.
Your hand leaves a hot mark behind on his cheek,
“Babe? That’s what you think you’re going to call me after dropping me for a month? Let me worry about if you’re hurt, if you’re sick, if dead? No, you don’t get to call me that, Ted, that’s reserved for boyfriends who actually give a fuck to contact their girlfriends after being dragged into the woods by a damn wolf!” The anger is really welling up inside you now, but you can’t stop it, not now.
“So, no, you don’t get to call me babe after all that! As far as I’m concerned, we are not dating anymore!” You could keep going but the way Ted’s looking at you has you stopping in your tracks.
“Wouldn’t have done that if I were you…” Bill chuckles behind Ted, lighting a cigarette without much care for how the situation goes.
Ted, however, is shaking. No, not shaking, vibrating. He stares you down through thick strands of dark hair, breath heaving, shoulders raised, looking at you as if he wanted to tear you apart. The moonlight casts shadows on his face that make something in your stomach churn with a moment of true fear.
A deep growl echoes from somewhere inside his chest, and Bill puts a hand on his shoulder. Bill looks you in the eyes with his icy blues and throws a nod towards the rest of civilization out here.
“You should go back to the party now, girlie.” He says with a fake smile at the end, dropping it and whispering something into Ted’s ear that makes him back off.
The two of them turn and walk deeper into the darkness, and you’re left standing there once again.
————
Anger is still coursing through your veins, your head not thinking properly. You don’t even want to go home, you want release from all of this. You want something different, anything.
You rejoin the party in the barn this time, and the crowd dances to music someone has set up out here. It doesn’t matter to you much what’s playing as long as it’s loud and it’s fast. You walk over to a table that hosts various amounts of liquor and find yourself a few shots deep very quickly. Heat pours through your veins, making you feel tingly all over as the alcohol begins to hit, and you join the crowd.
It doesn’t take long for you to feel the beat, winding your body in ways that you haven’t done in months now, your dress riding up shorter and shorter as you go. Soon enough, someone’s hands have caught your hips and begun grinding them into their crotch. You don’t recoil, instead, grinding back, letting their mouth find a home at your neck. If you and Ted really were broken up now, then you might as well have some fun.
You let the strangers hands wander your body, groping where they please, enjoying how the liquor feels when you move against another warm body. Sweat begins to prick your skin as you continue, and soon your mysterious stranger is whispering filthy things in your ears. Things you and Ted never even got around to doing since he used to be shy about such things, which you also used to find cute.
Now, it was like you didn’t even know him.
You shake your head with anger as the thought of Ted comes back up, trying to get back into the groove with your dance partner, but of course that too is interrupted when he is forcibly pulled from you. You pause mid dance, confusion filling your drunk mind. You turn on wobbly heels, and see those eyes, and this time it can’t be the lights making them so yellow.
Ted grabs your wrist, pulling you into his body, glowering at you.
“That’s how you’re going to get back at me?” He snidely whispers in your ear.
“What? Not like you wanted me anymore, anyways.” You cruelly throw back, turning your nose up at him to leave.
He holds you fast.
“Who said I didn’t want you anymore…?” His voice almost sounds hurt, and you try to get a read on his face.
For a second, you’re almost convinced the old Ted was back by how soft he looked right now.
You open your mouth to retaliate anyways, spiteful as always, just like your mother always warned about, but instead, Ted pulls you even closer, until your lips are almost touching, his breath mingling with yours, eyes staring deep into your soul.
“Trust me,” His voice is smoother now, hot and full of want. “I want you.”
You blink, trying to make sense of the situation, but with the alcohol pumping through your system and a history of bad decisions, you can’t stop yourself. You let your lips graze his, not even full on kissing him, just giving permission. And that’s enough for Ted.
Enough for him to let his soft, warm, silky lips crush against yours, the want so strong he has to hold himself back with every muscle in his body, arms clutching you tightly. He devours you with his kiss, and it’s almost hard for you to keep up with his lips. He pulls you onto his leg, spreading your thighs so you can ride him there, your dress now fully exposing your ass and pale blue checkered panties. His hands grip your hips, pulling you towards him and away, letting his bent knee create friction down there.
It takes everything inside you to pull away from his kiss, your chest heaving and almost ready to fall out of your dress at this rate.
“Not-Not…” You say breathlessly as you notice a few prying eyes in the crowd. “Not here…”
Ted gives you a look that sends a chill straight to your pussy.
A look that says “I would fuck you right here, right now, in front of everyone if you just gave me permission.”
And even worse.
“I might do it anyway if you don’t get us out of here quickly.”
You’re stumbling out into the woods outside of the barn before you know it. Ted half carries you the whole time, your legs wrapped around his waist as he takes you deeper away from everyone else. Your head knows this is dangerous, knows something about Ted is off, something is wrong, but you need this. You’ve been needing this, ever since he left. Maybe even before then.
Your back ends up crushed against a tree, the bark scraping against your bare shoulders there. Ted breathes heavily into your neck, no, not breathing. Inhaling. Smelling you so deeply before a moan escapes his lips.
“Fuck…” He growls in your ear. “Fuck, I-I need you so bad…”
It’s as if he can’t even get the right words out to describe it, as if it’s painful how badly he needs to fuck you. He’s hungry for you in ways you couldn’t begin to understand.
He grinds himself between your legs, and you can feel how hard he is against your pussy and stomach. His hands go down your shoulders, and you wonder when his nails got so long, the feeling of them almost clawing into your skin turning you on. He quickly pulls your dress down, exposing your breasts to his hands, where he gropes you deeply, the softness of your skin contrasting his.
You let his tongue linger in your mouth, tasting him deeply as he ruts against you, cock needing to be released. You help him, hands drunk and fumbling with his belt. Once his cock is out, you feel the head with your hand, and for a moment, you can hardly believe how big it is.
Ted’s kissing on your neck deepens, teeth grazing the skin there as you stroke his thick cock, using both hands and letting him support your weight. You don’t remember his teeth being so long, not to mention sharp, and just as your thinking of pulling way to get a better look at him, as his growling begins to reach a breaking point, you feel his teeth graze too deeply, biting into the tender flesh of your throat.
You let out a whimper, the feeling of pain mixing with pleasure. Ted takes this as an invitation, hand reaching down to your panties, and with one claw, tearing them in two. You shudder at the thought of how sharp they are and being so close to your most private parts as he checks how wet you are with one finger.
Ted pulls back from where he’s left a mark on your neck, looking you in the eyes. His face has changed, his eyes bright yellow, his teeth on full display and sporting your blood. Others may have screamed, tried to free themselves from his grip, but the monstrous look he was sporting had you weak in the knees. You shudder with pleasure as he places his cock at your entrance, the tip feeling way too big to fit even before it’s in. He seems to pause, for a just a moment, as if the human part of him can hold back just barely.
He’s waiting for you to say yes.
You nod with wanton want, and that’s all it takes. His cock is entering you, a tight fit that leaves you moaning in pain and pleasure as it stretches you beyond what you thought your limits were. You grip his back, feeling yourself already full without even having the entirety of his cock inside of you yet. What little of himself he could hold back before is gone now as he takes one small pull back from being inside you, and slams the force of his cock back where he left and then some. You cry out, trying to move to accommodate such a hefty cock, but failing.
You slip one hand down to your clit to try to tame the pain into pleasure once more, Ted’s cock filling you again and again as he takes you right there in the woods. Your hand circles your clit as best as you can, feeling yourself relax into the process of being fucked by an animal of a man.
Ted’s cock seems to grow even bigger inside of you, the base swelling as he fucks you, making it harder and harder for him to pull out of you. It’s as if you’re being infinitely filled by him as he clumsily tries to fuck you harder. His growls deepen, and as he gets closer he sinks his teeth back into the half moons he left in your shoulder earlier. You cry out as he tastes you, practically tearing you in two with his cock and his teeth, but shudder closer to climax from it all. You furiously play with yourself, free hand gripping your own breast as if the action could hold you in, hold you together for just a few more moments of the pleasure his cock fills you with at the moment.
You buck into him, his cock rutting deeper and deeper, no thoughts of the fact that he’s about to spill his seed inside you without protection, no thoughts of the teeth in your shoulder that tries to hold you still to be fucked. Only that blissful feeling of being so full you can hardly take it. So stretched out and how well that feels when you play with your clit just like that. It brings you closer and closer until you’re spilling over the edge, spamming on his cock that breeds itself into you without care.
As if he’d been waiting for you to finish, before you’ve even finished cumming the first time, Ted growls deeper than you’ve heard all night, jaw locking into your shoulder and popping his growing knot deep enough it won’t come out into you. You keep your hand busy on your clit, not ready to give this up with just one round just yet, as Ted cums deeply inside you. It’s hot, thick, and filling somewhere you’ve never been filled before. You feel it begin to seep out around his knot despite his best efforts to keep you filled, the amount of cum just too much for your body. You lose yourself in the feeling, cumming again, pussy spasming and tightening against his cock.
Worn out and overstimulated, you feel yourself being pulled from the tree. You fall on top of Ted, his knot still wedged deeply inside you with no hope of coming out soon. You straddle his body, where he lays against the dirt of the forest, breathless and staring up at the moon. It takes him a few breaths to look at you.
“So,” You say, chest heavy and pussy throbbing. “You’re a werewolf?”
He gulps in air, and almost tries to speak, then just nods, staring at you for your reaction.
After everything, you look at your boyfriend. You see his puppy dog eyes, his soft lips pursed slightly with worry, that shaggy overgrown hair. You consider it all.
“Okay.” You say affirmatively.
“Okay?” His voice is full of husk and confusion.
“Okay. Werewolf. I can deal with that.” You smile only slightly, and Ted smiles back, the Ted you know and love shining before you.
He pulls you in, tongue lapping at your neck where he bit you, and to your surprise, the bite begins to heal itself quite quickly.
“Werewolf powers.” You whisper to him and he laughs. ”Guess the San Dimas curse is true.”
“Guess I found out the hard way.” Ted whispers, half joking, half pained by the situation.
You two lay there, the moonlight devouring the scene beneath it, breathless and full. Ted’s cock throbs so deeply in your pussy you can’t imagine a time it wasn’t there. The exquisite feeling of fullness has you on cloud nine, and you can’t help but love the feeling of being so close in his arms. The way his languid hands slowly run circles on your back, the relaxed feeling of his softness almost overwhelming you along with every other sensation. You feel tears begin to well up as a release of emotions comes over you.
Ted hears a small sob hiccup in your throat, and holds you even closer, your face buried in his neck. You don’t even need anything to tell you that your soft, sweet, kind Ted was coming out now, you just knew. You knew the way he held you on top of him, letting all your weight into his body, the way his hands comforted you in ways no one else could.
You pull your face away from his, and he kisses your forehead, your cheeks, kisses up every tear that’s fallen. His lips move against your skin, his breath tickling your face, and soon enough you realize he’s whispering something.
You can’t tell what until he kisses your ears, lingering there.
“I’m so sorry, I couldn’t tell you, I didn’t know how…” Pain seeps out of every word.
You pull his face back to yours so you can look into those brown eyes of his.
“Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan, don’t you ever lie to me again, you hear me?” You say sternly, and he nods, tears now welling up in his eyes, but not yet fallen.
“Never.” He promises, and somehow you know it to be true.
You collapse into his chest, letting the emotions of the night overcome you, Ted there to comfort you through it all. You fall mindlessly asleep, worn out and waiting for Ted’s knot to go down. You still can’t believe your boyfriend is a werewolf, but at least you got him back.
At some point, Ted takes you home, somehow transporting you all the way without waking you until the very end. You wake in the middle of being placed into his bed.
He pushes your bangs out of your face gently, kisses your forehead, then climbs into bed next you, letting your body relax into his before the two of you begin to gently fall back asleep. You hear him whisper in your ear before you fall asleep.
“I love you.”

Hello :) I’ve seen your post and I’ve returned to ask once more, would you be willing to draw-
Teen-High-Binder Transmasc Normal?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I tried to keep more original while still following the general meme/ adding stuff that I liked from other people. For as much as I draw Link, Normal is up there for my fav character, so I’m glad to be solidifying a design for him that I actually like. Link reminds me of me as a kid and Normal reminds me of me when I was 13-15(honestly me a now a little, I’m just older so I don’t act as much like that). What can I say he’s my Hispanic, neurodivergent boy, of course I project on him. I still wear my high school spirt shirts because some of them are still cute, which means that Normal definitely wears San Dimas spirt shirts. Hopefully this isn’t just a uniform school thing, and ya’ll know what school spirt shirts are. I hope yall like the tree joke, I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else make that observation. I love this meme/trend it’s fucking funny who you asked everyone and I gotta love the community coming together over binder Normal.
Sorry this took so long, was gonna post this last week(I think? I have no sense of time) and then tumblr ate the post when I tried to draft it. So I’ve been procrastinating on posting because I’d have to write everything I want to post at once. Actually while making this post I turned off my tablet because someone came into my room and I thought I LOST the post AGAIN, but just posted early. To Anon, since I keep talking to you, I could try to count it myself, but I could just ask you. What’s the current Normal Binder count, has to be over 10 I think.
Anyways Happy Pride everyone!
Id on the bottom
[ID starts: Digital fanart of Normal from Dungeons and Daddies. Normal has a puberty mustache, light tan skin, light acne, and short-ish, dark brown, wavy hair. There is a large center drawing of Normal with smaller doodles surrounding the drawing.The main drawing is of Normal in a navy blue teeny the teen binder. He has his hand in fist on his chest and has a confident expression. To the the left of him it say “Happy Pride!” in a shouting bubble. On the top left, Normal is saying “Why go on T, when you can use puberty tree!” To the right of that, it has a before and after. In the before, Normal has no mustache, while in the after he was a mustache. In the middle right, there is a tiny doodle of Normal’s face saying: “Bind Safely!” with a trans flag behind the text. In the bottom left there’s another tiny Normal. He has another teeny-the-teen binder, but this one has mascot’s repeating face. On top it say, “Obligatory meme reference!” ID ends]
[ID starts: A close up of the top part of the drawing. On the left, Normal has a blue shirt that says: “Teen Spirt!” and has a salesperson’s smile. He is gesturing with a pointed finger and saying “Why go on T, when you can use puberty tree!” To the right of that, it has a before and after. In the before, Normal has no mustache and a neutral expression. While in the after, he was a mustache, more acne, and an excited smile. ID ends]

How about 🎶 or 👽 for normal? I hope you have a good day!!
Thanks for the ask and well wishes, hope you have a nice day as well! HCs Ask Game ---- 🎶 A headcanon about music The first song Normal heard the San Dimas high school play was Into the Storm. He was in middle school at the time and his class was taking a little tour of the high school that day. He peaked into the noisy band room and his eyes sparkled, ears taking in a lively interpretation of nature in music form. Spent most of the tour sneaking back over to that hall to hear all the different instruments melding together. It made him feel energized and bubbly, feet tapping to the beats.
Normal wanted to dance and cheer for them, share in the energy that they had inspired in him!
Given this, he was even more motivated to become the school mascot when he found out that the mascot would be working with both the cheer squad and band. He gets along well with the band students, often choosing to eat in the band room over trying to waddle through the dense cafeteria for a free spot and a partly claimed table. Additionally, Normal has his morning alarm set to the school band's performance of the school's anthem.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (a couple of people traveling through time in a phone booth. Why does that sound familiar?), part 1
[All images are owned by MGM. Please don’t sue me or sic your lion on me]
(all clips are thanks to Fandango unless otherwise specified)
youtube
(Thanks to Rotten Tomatoes)
You would think that a comedy starring two rejects from Dude, Where’s My Car? would be totally lame. You would be wrong.
Don’t get me wrong. Bill & Ted is not a good film, but it is a fun ride that somehow spawned two sequels (one that was released over 3 decades later!) and an animated series (that would see the actors of all three major characters lending their voices)
Enough setup, on to the film! If you would like to watch it, it’s available on Max, Hulu, or behind your favorite paywall.
Tumblr media
We open on an introduction from a “future dude” named Rufus (played by comedian George Carlin)
youtube
These two slackers (I would call them stoners, but there’s no evidence of drug use in the film. That’s just how they are) are Bill S. Preston, esq. (played by Alex Winter) and Ted “Theodore” Logan (played by Keanu Reeves, who would go on to play the title character in the John Wick franchise and Neo in the Matrix franchise), collectively known (at least in their minds) as Wyld Stallyns.
Unfortunately, their fantasizing about their someday-to-be awesome band is cut short due to having to go to school.
Later, in history class, Bill and Ted show their teacher, Mr. Ryan, their knowledge of historical figures, such as Joan of Arc.
Tumblr media
As the bell rings, Mr. Ryan reminds the class that tomorrow will be a presentation in the auditorium to the entire school of their final report: How would historical figures react to modern times. As the class leaves, Mr. Ryan takes Bill and Ted aside. He informs them that their ability to not fail his class depends on getting an A+ on this final report. And to do so, …
Tumblr media
They’re doomed!
After school, as Bill and Ted realize just how screwed they are, they are met by Bill’s stepmother Missy, who graduated high school when Bill was a freshman (wow, Mr. Preston must like ‘em young!) Missy drives Bill & Ted to Ted’s place to get his books so they can start researching their report they have to give tomorrow.
Unfortunately, Ted is greeted by his father, the county Sheriff, who is already in a bad mood due to losing his keys (he accuses Ted of stealing them, but Ted pleads innocence) His dad then informs Ted that he knows about Ted’s grades, and reminds him that should he fail he’d be shipped off to military school in Alaska!
Fast forward about 600 years, where Rufus is summoned by the ruling council.
Tumblr media
With that, they give Rufus his time machine (which looks like an old phone booth (as in the kind Superman used to change it. Google it, kids!) and off he goes!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(apparently that’s the way they say good-bye in the future)
Meanwhile in the present, Bill and Ted and TRYING to get their facts straight for their report when Bill’s dad checks in on him…
Tumblr media
…and Missy decides to check in on HIM. Mr. Preston then immediately gives Bill and Ted money and shoos them out of the house! Way to help your kid, dude.
Bill and Ted decide to get a snack at the local convenience store (Circle K, since 7-11 didn’t want to pony up enough money to be included in the film when…
youtube
(and NO ONE inside the Circle K thought that was weird? Well, I guess it IS California…)
With that, Future Bill and Ted disappear, and Rufus demonstrates how the time machine works by taking them to 1805, in the middle of Napoleon's eastern offensive toward Russia. Unlike at the Circle K, their arrival did not go unnoticed.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately for Napoleon, cannon fire hits his camp, sending him flying from the explosion and he lands on the phone booth as it vanishes.
Back in the present at San Dimas (on Sheriff Logan’s front lawn), Rufus gives Wyld Stallyns instructions on how to use the phone booth (and tells them that even as they travel in time, the time in the present marches on. That closes that loophole, I guess), then departs just as a second (empty) booth arrives. Suddenly…
Tumblr media
…Napoleon falls out of the tree he landed in. This gives Bill an idea: collect more historical figures for the report. They draft Ted’s little brother (Deacon) to babysit Napoleon.
Tumblr media
Oh, THAT definitely won’t go horribly wrong!
As Bill and Ted prepare to kidnap historical figures for “research”, Ted is stopped by his father, who sends him to his room to pack (don’t forget your thermal underwear!) Then the phone rings. It’s Deputy Van Halen, who claims to have found his keys. Problem is, Sheriff Logan doesn’t know any deputy named Van Halen.
Tumblr media
Clever, Bill! This is enough for Sheriff Logan to leave for the county station to get his keys, meaning Ted can sneak out!
Tumblr media
[For the kids: “Reach out and touch someone” wasn’t the credo for some pervy celebrity, but rather was the slogan for AT&T back in the 80s]
With that, the boys take a trip to the old west (dressed like that? They’ll be dragged off behind a runaway horse by sundown) and mosey into a saloon where they see…
Tumblr media
…Billy the Kid, who’s looking for a couple of men to help him with a gambling scam.
Tumblr media
At the poker table, Bill tries to coach Ted on how to gamble. First you need a good poker face.
Tumblr media
…which Bill obviously doesn’t have. The other men at the table figure something’s up and pull out their shooting irons. Somehow, they all get away and Bill and Ted convince Billy to join them.
Next stop, ancient Greece. I’m guessing the guys didn’t bring togas.
youtube
With two historical figures in tow, their next stop is 15th century England. Not entirely sure what historical figure they’ll be collecting here.
Billy keeps Socrates occupied while the boys explore.
Then Ted sees the princesses he told himself about.
Tumblr media
Not one to step all over his friend’s crush, Bill helps Ted sneak into the castle, where they immediately get sidetracked by the suits of armor on display and…
Tumblr media
…well, boys will be boys. After some cosplay fighting, Ted falls down the stairs...where he’s stabbed by the guards! Now how is he gonna meet himself?
Bill immediately charges in to avenge his friend…
Tumblr media
…which goes about as well as you’d expect. But then…
Tumblr media
Ted turns out to be very much alive, knocking out Bill’s attacker.
Apparently, he fell out of his armor (HOW?!) as he hit the bottom of the stairs.
A bit later…
youtube
Bill and Ted are dragged into the castle courtyard for a good ol’ fashioned beheading when…
Tumblr media
They are rescued by Billy and Socrates, who were disguised as the executioners. They then flee into the phone booth (conveniently dragged into the courtyard) and off they go! However…
Tumblr media
The guard clipped the booth’s antenna on its way out. Hope that doesn’t cause any issues.
Since Bill was dialing random numbers, they have no idea where they’re going until they land…
Tumblr media
The Council recognize the boys and begin playing power chords on air guitars at them. More people come out to continue air guitaring at them. The boys awkwardly give their credo to them (it’s the one Rufus and the Council exchange at the beginning of the film) before returning to the booth.
Meanwhile in the present, Deacon (remember him?) and his friends take Napoleon (remember HIM?) to some sort of party restaurant, where they have a giant sundae.
Tumblr media
…and Napoleon makes a giant cochon of himself. (It’s French. Look it up)
Meanwhile, the boys land in Austria at the start of the 20th century and see…
Tumblr media
According to Ted’s watch they have plenty of time, so Bill decides to expand on the confines of their assignment for extra credit! They get not only Freud…
Tumblr media
…but also Beethoven…
Tumblr media
…Joan of Arc…
Tumblr media
…Genghis Khan…
Tumblr media
…and Abraham Lincoln. Exactly HOW are all of these people fitting in that phone booth?
Tumblr media
Ah, THAT’S how!
Back in the present, Deacon (remember him?) and his friends take Napoleon (oh, you get the point!) bowling.
Tumblr media
…which goes about as well as you’d expect. Ted’s brother finally tired of babysitting Napoleon and walk out while he’s in mid-tantrum.
Back to our time travelers, the booth is out of control as the antenna finally gives out!
WILL Bill & Ted make it to San Dimas in time?
WILL they pass their history presentation
WHAT will be the result of them monkeying around in time?
WHY can I not reduce my questions to two actual and one joke like I normally do?
These questions and more will be answered in the exciting conclusion!

The Stallions
Tumblr media
Note: I am so sorry this took so long, my motivation has been off and on for a while. I hope you all like it -Ar
Marko/Bill x Reader
Summary: After senior year Ted gets sent to boot camp and Bill just disappears. Feeling abandoned by your best friends you start your own band, called The Stallions in honor of your old band. Your tour finally brings you to Santa Carla and you end up running into a familiar face.
Requested: @zithera
Words: 2239
On a street in San Dimas, California was where it all started. You had just moved because your parents wanted a fresh start and warmer weather. You were dragged along, not old enough to fend for yourself yet. You didn’t leave many friends there, just your bandmates but still it was a tough change. That was until you heard a noise coming from your neighbor’s garage. You won’t really call it music or even good but you could tell that it was coming from a guitar. The first thought that came to mind was middle schoolers trying to form a band, you remembered your first band practice. It took another few days of settling to realize your neighbor was actually a kid your age and his friend. Smoke was billowing from the garage one day and you ran out of your house to check up on the kids.
“Are you alright?” you asked standing behind the two boys that had just exited the smoke.
“Oh, yeah. Happens all the time,” the brunette tells you as he turns around. The blond does the same but just stares at you.
“No wonder no one else came out,” you laugh once you finally scanned them for any injuries.
“Wow,” the brunette stared at you.
“What?”
“You're like totally…”
“Shut up Ted,” the blond finally spoke up.
“I wanna hear what he was going to say,” you looked at Ted, “I’m what, Ted?”
“Hot,” he finished with a dopey smile. That was not what you thought he was going to say as a blush dusted your cheeks.
“Oh,” you whispered, rubbing the back of your neck.
“I’m Ted Logan and this is…”
“Bill S. Preston Esq,” the blond bowed.
“Well nice to meet you, Bill and Ted,” you said before giving them your name in return, “I heard you playing, mind if I join? Totally cool if not.”
“No,” they both rushed out causing you to laugh.
“We mean you can join whenever you want,” Bill said. You smiled at him which caused him to blush. You were always attracted to the cute ones.
That was the start really. You showed up to one of their practices and they took you in as a member of the Wyld Stallyns. You tried to teach them how to play a little better, but they always seemed more focused on something else. It was easy to fall into a routine with them, go to school, work, and then band practice. Do it all over again. As school started to come to a close you were rather close to the guys. It was now Bill, Ted, and the new kid. New kid, it seemed like you never did outgrow that title in San Dimas. The more you hung out with them, the closer you got to Bill. He was sweet and made jokes that always had you laughing. It was his favorite thing to do. Even someone as dense as Ted could see that you two liked each other. Though no one made the first move, either too scared or too comfortable to do anything. All in all, senior year was going great. That was that until school ended and Ted’s father sent him away to Bootcamp. It happened so fast as well. One minute he was in the garage jamming out and the next his dad was picking him up. There was no Wyld Stallyns, just you and Bill. It stayed like that for a while. That was until you were the only one left.
Bill had told you he was going to visit some friends in a few towns over and that he would be back in no time. Well, no time turned out to be years. There was no point putting up missing posters or that was what his father said. Bill had gone to Santa Carla trying to find Ted. He had gotten a postcard from there from his bandmate. Santa Carla his dad told you was called the Murder Capital of the World and there were millions of missing posters up for other people. It was a lost cause, he hadn’t said it like that but you knew what he meant. Bill was probably dead. Your heart broke and you stayed in your room for a month crying until your parents convinced you to get on with your life, Bill would have wanted you to. Sitting alone in your room wasn’t going to make him happy.
So, you did the one thing that would have. You started a band. Contacting your old bandmates wasn’t that hard of a task. They all agreed to join the moment they got your call. Wanting to honor Bill, you named your band The Stallons with Ted’s permission of course. After two years of practice and doing local jigs, The Stallons grew into a household name. Every teenager and young adult knew who you guys were. That's what landed you this local tour. Your band has toured up and down California for the last few months. You were on your last leg of the tour, Santa Carla, and then back to San Dimas. It took your band a lot of convincing you to play Santa Carla. It meant a lot to bands around here to be able to play the boardwalk, they said. That is how you ended up there, they knew you couldn’t say no to them.
“Anyway, going in a group is better than going alone,” your drummer tells you backstage, “we’ll be fine.”
“That’s not what I’m worried about,” you tell them with a sigh.
“Then what is it?”
“What if he’s still here and I just wasn’t a good enough reason to come back to San Dimas?”
Your drummer spoke your name softly, “then he isn’t worth it.”
“I just really liked him.”
“I know…”
“Five minutes,” the stagehand tells them before moving on.
“Look, we will give the crowd what they want, and then we’ll explore the boardwalk after. How does that sound?”
You nod as you take a deep breath, “Yeah, that sounds nice.”
With a clap on your back, your drummer slipped onto the stage first, “what’s up Santa Carla!!” they say into the mic causing the crowd to scream.
You exit the backstage last with a large grin on your face, “Hello Santa Carla! We are The Stallions and we hope that you will rock out with us for a while.” It was easy losing yourself in the music. Lyrics you have been singing for years now just roll off your tongue. Usually, the crowds morph into each other but this one was different. It was like you could see every single person in front of you. It was halfway through the show when you saw him or at least you thought you did. He was in the crowd one second and gone the next. Bill. It had to be him, you could never forget his face. Your father had called it young love, something that would pass but you knew with Bill what you had was deeper than that. You just never had the chance to figure it out. Your voice stuttered a bit as you finished your song. Your eyes kept scanning the crowd to find him again. It took a minute for you to just chop it up to your imagination. That you wanted to see him so much, you had made him up.
“Most people don’t know why we picked The Stallions as our name. Would you like to hear the story?” You said stalling for a moment to give your guitarist changed instruments.
The crowd cheered as a response.
“It’s a short one but I used to be in another band before this one. Shocker I know. It was just me and two very important people to me. I lost one to boot camp and the other, well I don’t truly know what happened to him. Our band name was Wyld Stallyns and my beautiful bandmates let me honor my old band with this one. I wouldn’t be here where I am today without Wyld Stallyns and Bill and Ted,” as you talked you caught a familiar sight of curly blond hair in the crowd, “wanna hear a little more gossip while we continue to change some instruments?” You were feeling a bit bolder, if he was in the crowd he wanted him to know how you felt and if not it would feel nice to get it off your chest.
The crowd screamed as an answer as they always do.
You laugh, “alright, alright. I had a crush on one of these boys. Bill S. Preston Esq., he was the sweetest person I have ever met, he never failed to make me laugh, and he made me this mixtape of songs that made him think of me for my birthday that I still have. I think I miss him the most, Ted and I still keep in touch but Bill. Well, I don’t actually know where he is now. I just hope he’s out there somewhere listening to my songs. Like you lovely people.”
The music started to kick up after that and you sang your heart out for this song. It was one that you had written for Bill, not that anyone actually knew that. It was mournful and filled with love. There were three more songs after that including the encore before your band left the stage. Your drummer was ready to explore the boardwalk practically bouncing off the walls. You laughed and told them to go as you started to help pack the gear away. You promised to meet them there as they all disappeared into the crowd.
You were helping load a speaker when someone called your name behind you. Turning your head, you almost dropped the speaker at the sight one the boy now standing backstage. Another worker grabbed the equipment from you as you froze in place.
“Bill?” you whispered before moving towards him, “I thought you were dead.”
“Well, I’m right here,” he said, spreading his arms as if to show you all of him still in one piece.
“I can see that,” you nodded, “why didn’t you come back? You left me alone in San Dimas.”
“I… I found some new friends and they took me in.”
“You found new friends?”
“Yeah. I needed a new start,” he rubbed the back of his neck, “and Santa Carla gave that to me.”
“And I couldn’t? You still had me but clearly, I wasn’t a good enough reason for you to stay.”
“No, that’s not…” he sighed, running his hand through his now longer hair. A few things had changed about him. He was still rocking the crop top but now he sported a colorful jacket and chaps over his jeans. Maybe, he had changed from the silly teenage boy to whatever punk he was now.
“Then what?”
“I was going to come back to you. Hell, I was even going to ask you to marry me,” he rambled out.
“You were going to what?” you stared at him speechless. Marriage? You had thought that maybe one day Bill would get the courage to ask you out but marriage. That was something you had never thought of before. Though now that you were, it didn’t seem all that bad to have married Bill.
“One day, we still had to go on a date but babe, I loved you the moment you hit that sick rift in the garage.”
You laughed and shook your head, “you can’t just show up like this and spring this on me.”
“And you telling me that you have a crush on me in front of thousands was any better?”
“You already knew I liked you, even Ted saw it,” you defended yourself. Bill got closer and smiled. He seemed almost like a predator stalking his prey as he looked at you.
“Oh, I know,” He cupped your cheek and brought you into a kiss. His skin was cold against you but you couldn’t help but melt into it. Your own hand came up and grabbed his shoulder, “have that date with me now.” He offered once he pulled away.
“I should at least yell at you some more,” you tell him, “for Ted’s sake.”
“Come on,” he grabs your hand and leads you off the stage, “you can tell me how he is over a meal.”
“Bill,” you stopped a few feet away from the boardwalk.
“Yeah?”
“Why did you really leave?”
He sighed and closed his eyes, “I don’t know. Something pulled me here and I had to follow.”
You nodded, “you have to stay here, don’t you?”
“Yeah.”
“There better be some good food at this place you’re taking me,” you say, beginning to move again. Even if this might be the last time you get to see him, you want to make the most of it. You loved him, even if he did leave you. You didn’t need to know exactly why but you had a feeling it was for a good reason. There would also be a lot more tours to Santa Carla now. You had found what you were looking for and you weren’t about to let it go anytime soon. Even if during the date Bill tells you that he goes by Marko now, he is still the same boy you fell for.

Bill and Ted dating a smart girl would include~
Tumblr media
(Not my gif)(Requested by anonymous)
(I chose to do poly hcs. Hope you enjoy!)
- The social hierarchy of the 1980s rarely ever favored academics. Your intimate connection to the "geeks and creeps" of your school did you more harm than good and by your junior year of high school, you were about as relevant as the spare textbooks in the back of your classroom.
- People didn't pay attention to you unless they needed to, and though you would have liked for the boys in your class to ask you out, you got over it and settled for artfully suppressing your disappointment whenever their purposeful greetings led to an answered question about Alexander the great instead of an invitation to a movie.
- But resignation rarely ever alludes to cheerful acceptance. You weren't proud that all people knew about you was the fact that you were intelligent and after years of being cast aside until you were useful, you were tired of playing teacher.
- Fortunately for them, Bill and Ted were just pathetic enough to strike a cord within you and get you to agree to help them.
- That was how your relationship started: you tutoring them in an effort to ensure that they didn't flunk the grade and them staring at you with heart eyes while you rambled on about things that their little pea brains could barely comprehend.
- They didn't immediately take notice of how pretty you are, but when you're sat right next to/across from someone for hours at a time, it's kind of difficult not to realize how attractive they are; and how attractive their personality is.
- Which would ultimately lead to the two of them asking about your dating status and being genuinely surprised that you weren’t dating anybody.
- A bodacious and excellent babe like you was a hot commodity in San Dimas and they weren’t about to let you think you were anything less than that. So when you awkwardly explained how you “could possibly not have a boyfriend”, they very earnestly replied that they would date you in a heartbeat.
- And it wasn’t long before they made that confession into a reality and asked you out for real.
- You might not think that you’re anything to write home about but your boys think you’re excellent and are always quick to brag. They think it’s a miracle that they managed to score a brilliant babe like you and they want everyone to know that the three of you are together.
- It probably shouldn't come as a surprise but Teds father actually considers you to be a good influence and lets Ted off the hook on occasion because of it. All he has to do is lie that he was with you and his father will begrudgingly accept it; even though he was most certainly just having band practice with Bill.
- Your first family dinner at the Logan house was very awkward but at least he was able to impress his father by bringing up your grades/academic accomplishments! Nothing better than being able to cut the silence/uncomfortable conversation about his shortcomings with a comment about how you won the science fair!
- But, given your usual friend group and the fact that you’re a promising young woman, your parents probably aren’t too fond of them and consider them to be “bad influences”. They’re two naturally stoned boys in a rock band, how much worse could they be?!?
- Sooo many compliments and oddly specific nicknames surrounding your intelligence. They couldn’t be assed about school 90% of the time but they’ll somehow reference a random scientist from the 1950s whenever you’re in the middle of doing a biology project.
- Study dates. Though you honestly shouldn’t even consider them dates; given how much work they wind up being.
- Ted is terrible to tutor because he’s awful at sitting down and just focusing on one thing at a time, while Bill is better at paying attention; especially when you’re consistently pointing him in the right direction and explaining things clearly.
- Try to make your handwriting as legible as possible because they’re consistently copying off of your notes and homework; even in classes you don’t share with them.
- They don’t remember when their own tests are but you can rest assured that they remember yours. They always make an effort to see you before them and wish you good luck; and most of the time you’ll then have to remind them that they’ve got their own that day as well.
- You study in the library during lunch and they take naps around you like two little himbo kittens.
- Them getting you to take breaks from studying and doing your homework so you can let loose and relax for a change. Ya know babe, when you start to get a migraine, it usually means that it’s time to stop reading....
- Once all your teachers realize that the three of you are now “friends” they lowkey take you aside and subtly hint that you should help the boys out with their studies.
- Neither of them bother to read most of the time but they like having you explain the plots of books to them whenever there’s a need for sound. They gush about bands and albums to you in return.
- Them trying to impress you with stories from their travels in history. Although, depending on when the three of you got together, you probably accompanied them on at least one of their adventures.
- They fully believe that you can answer every single problem and question that they may have. To them, your intelligence knows no bounds. They don’t know the answer to something? Time to pack up and go see y/n/n. You’re the 80s equivalent to Wikipedia.
- I wholeheartedly believe that you’d become their manager, or that they’d at least try to make you become their manager because “you’re smart” and what other qualifications are there?

Title: Over Time
Song: Mary's Song - Taylor Swift, with Bill S. Preston Esq. For: @ringa-starr
Rating: T
Word Count: 1,033
Tag List: Ask to be Added
Wylde Stallyns had one last song on their set list, or at least the main part of the show. You knew they still had a three song encore to perform after hiding out backstage for a few minutes, just long enough to grab water and wipe the sweat from their faces. Bill grinned at you before rushing back onstage to the roaring crowd, you smiled back touching the wedding ring on your finger and finding your mind drifting back to the start of everything.
You'd moved to San Dimas in the fourth grade because your father had a new job. It was only about an hour away from where you used to live but for a nine year old that felt like forever away. Of course it also didn't help that you were moving in the middle of the school year when friendships were already established, you'd be the odd man out.
For the most part you were right, you'd been introduced to the class right after the first bell rang, ushered to your seat and then made to remain quiet during lessons. At recess you weren't sure just where to go or what to do, at your old school you might have been playing tag with friends, or waiting for your turn at the swings. Here, you didn't know the playground rules, didn't know who to join or what games everyone played.
Then came Bill with Ted in tow. Quickly the three of you became absolutely inseparable. You were often referred to as the 'three musketeers' always together, always getting into some sort of trouble. In elementary school it was easy to maintain friendships, playing together at recess and seeing one another for birthday parties or begging to go to the park together. You were close to the both of them but it seemed easier to confide in Bill than in anyone.
When you hit middle school the three of you had different classes but you still walked home together. You always managed to stay out late, crashing at someone's house only to be out most of the next day hanging out at the mall or theater hopping whenever there was actually a movie worth watching. Middle school was also the time that you were certain that you had a crush on Bill which pretty much changed absolutely everything.
For the longest time you thought that you were keeping your crush under control. It wasn't hard focus on classes that you didn't have with Bill but he became a distraction in any other area. Whether other friends noticed they didn't say although you were fairly certain that Ted knew because Ted could read you like a book. You attempted to get rid of your crush on him, attempted to figure out a way to get rid of the feelings that consumed you and still there was no progress made.
Of course what you hadn't known at the time was that Bill felt the same. Honestly the idea of being famous was only part of the reason why Wylde Stallyns was formed, the other part was a rather sappy idea of writing love songs for you. At least that would have been easier than confessing that he no long saw you as just a friend, easier than ruining everything with you.
Everything was easier when you kept your feelings a secret. Friendship was a lot easier than risking it all for a relationship, so you both did nothing. Sometimes it felt like the two of you had been on the same wavelength but you brushed that off. You wanted to pretend that it meant something when he said he'd go to school dances with you, choosing to ignore the phrase 'as friends' that seemingly was tacked on to everything.
And as time went on, transitioning from middle school to high school, that was what you needed. Everything had to be easier, everything needed to be easier in order for you to keep pretending that you weren't in love with Bill.
Everything was easier when you pretended like it didn't hurt to see him with others. Everything was easier when you ended up swearing Ted to secrecy after he asked you why you and Bill weren't dating. Everything was easier, until it wasn't. And you supposed time travel had a large variety of benefits.
The history projects had to be done individually or in pairs. Bill and Ted had decided almost immediately to be partnered up which they were apologetic about but also, you didn't care. It would have been weird to come between them and you knew if you were partnered up with Bill you might not even be able to focus, if you were partnered with Ted, he'd do what he always did when the two of you were alone - try and convince you to ask Bill out.
Of course what you hadn't anticipated to happen was that the two of them would meet a time traveler and ace their presentation because they'd brought back historical figures. What you hadn't anticipated was Billy the Kid being adept at relationship advice, more than Ted ever was, and managing to get Bill to see what he'd missed throughout all the years. He was in love with you, just as you were in love with him.
It's hard to thank someone for helping you realize your true feelings for someone, or for helping get you into a relationship with someone when that person is from another time.  If you could have thanked him, if Rufus had let you keep the telephone booth, you would have thanked him for giving you your future.
You knew that you loved Bill, you knew now that he loved you as well. You had come to the realization that many had when they saw the two of you together, that being with him was where you were meant to be. Had any one of those people tried telling you that one day you'd be married to your best friend, you would have told them they were wrong, but years later watching him perform on stage, touching the ring on your finger, it was a truth you were grateful to accept.

Some Kelly (bnt) headcanons? Thank you and happy new year!!
Heck yea! This is the last hc post (for right now at least), so tysm to everyone that sent them in :-D
She has ADHD!
Her hyperfixations change pretty fast, and it means she’s built up a lot of knowledge of seemingly random things over the years, but they can actually be really useful sometimes
She’s bi and v proud
She looked up to her dad a lot and is a huge WS lore fan. When he brought back the signed albums from the end of EA she freaked out. They’re still framed on her wall
She wore footie pjs as a kid
She was really protective and got along really well with her sibling as kids (and still does) and she used to give them piggyback rides around the house, usually resulting in something getting broken and both of them laughing as they ran back to their rooms
She was once found eating glitter when she was five, and poured some on Rufus’ beard when he was sleeping
Her favorite color is purple (like a kinda mid light shade)
She has a rlly pretty laugh and blushes easily
She wears reading glasses
She has a pretty big friends group and knows a lot of people. She’s and her current roommates have been friends since middle school
Her and her friends play DnD (or whatever the future equivalent is)
She went to college for music history, which is how she got a job working with the council (she didn’t tell her mom that’s what she was doing because she wanted to know she achieved it all on her own)
She becomes really good friends with BnT after EA through visits Rufus takes her on, and they kind of become her big bros. She sends them advice and has stolen the time machine her dad uses for class multiple times to visit them on her own
She’s one of BnT’s best dudes at their wedding
She gets a bit distant from them after Rufus’ death, just because she’s grieving
One day she shows up at their door, unannounced, and they let her in no questions asked. She stays with them for a month or so in the past while she’s processing stuff, and becomes good friends with Billie and Thea
She’s the cool aunt that always brings excellent gifts and does fun stuff with them
Whenever she visits they go “Aunt Kelly!” and she catches them in a hug and spins them around, even when they get bigger
She, Missy, Ted, and Liz have mall days together during her visits and they gossip while browsing stores
She loans Ted one of her really fluffy colorful future world skirts during one of her visits and he loves it
She plays guitar and accordion
She falls for people really easily and is kind of a dork. She’ll make her partner sweaters and make art on their morning coffee or hot cocoa, and stand up for them to their parents or jerk friends and stuff. Anyone who she’s broken up with or that has broken up with her definitely didn’t deserve her (looking at you, Dennis)
She loves her mom but there’s always been kind of a strain on their relationship because her mom kind of wants her to just settle down/do something more productive with her life than just following her father’s footsteps
They’ve argued a lot about it
Her mom also thinks she should stop “messing” with the timeline by making visits to BnT. The first time they have that convo Kelly goes and stays with them for two weeks
She likes big clothes, either puffy or baggy, she thinks they’re fun
She dances and sings while making breakfast, and is really into rock, pop from her time, and ancient pop from the 2000s and 2010s
She has two cats and a dog that are jointly cared for by her and her two roommates
She sucks on scratches or little injuries she gets when she’s trying to find a band aid
Her younger sibling moved out of San Dimas after high school, just bc they wanted to travel the world, and she holo calls them every night and they talk for hours, getting each other caught up on everything going on in their lives
Her favorite dessert is cream puffs, and she’s a sucker for sodas and slushies
Headcanons masterpost

Growing Old With You | Ted “Theodore” Logan x Reader (Oneshot)
Trope Prompt: Wedding
Words: 1268
Fandom: Bill & Ted
Summary: Wedding Singer AU. You and Ted are both engaged, but to the wrong people.
-
Never in a million years did Ted think he would be chasing after the girl of his dreams at an airport to stop her from marrying another guy. Since high school, he always thought that Elizabeth was it for him, but she thought otherwise.She only stuck around because she thought that Wyld Stallyns would eventually make it big so she could finally leave San Dimas. She wanted more than the wedding singer that Ted had become. He really should have known better.
You were different. You were kind, considerate, smart, and beautiful. You loved collecting records and sitting by the window. You loved to sit through the Wyld Stallyns’ rehearsals and give constructive feedback and encouraged him in trying to write original music.
Why were you marrying someone like Donaka Mark? Ted wondered this ever since he met him, even after knowing how he’d check other women out and cheat on you, he actually believed that you were marrying him for money.
When he finally got over Elizabeth and accepted his feelings for you, he had actually tried to get a boring mundane job at a bank. That had definitely not gone to plan and when you had asked why he had done it. He just snapped and yelled in your face. Next thing he knew it, you were on a flight to Las Vegas to have your wedding there.
-
You sat in the cramped airplane next to the aisle, your elbow getting rammed into each time the flight attendant passed by. Donny had preferred the window seat, saying that his limbs were too long to sit on the aisle seat. The longer you sit there, the more you were wondering why you were going through this. You thought you loved him, but then you met Ted Logan, who was nothing like Donny.
Ted was bubbly, kind-hearted, talented, and attentive. You remembered stopping by Bill’s place and meeting Joana and Missy, Bill’s step-mom that had strangely gone to high school with them. You asked them how they knew if they were in love.
“It just feels right, you know” Bill said, looking at Joana lovingly.
“And it’s not just about what you feel about them, it’s what they make you feel about yourself,” Joana added, “What about you, Ted?”
Ted thought for a moment. “I just think… you know when someone remembers your favorite ice cream or they buy you that new Van Halen record that you’ve been wanting or just knowing when something’s wrong with you, I think that’s love, right?”
“I agree, it’s the little things that count,” you said, nodding. Ted smiled at you and you couldn’t help but smile back. “Someone you want to grow old with.”
The day that your wedding dress came in, you tried it on and stare at yourself in the mirror. It didn’t feel right. Mrs. (Y/n) Mark. Mrs. Donaka Mark. It wasn’t clicking for you. What if… Mrs. (Y/n) Logan. Mrs. Ted Logan.
“Hi, I’m Mrs. Ted Logan, nice to meet you,” you said to the mirror with a genuine smile, “Hi, I’m Mrs. Logan.”
And you were so close to telling Ted your feelings about him, too, after your short fight, but his fiancee came back and it just felt like you should give up. He’s back with Elizabeth and you still were engaged with Donny. You were so upset when you found out about it, you immediately went to Donny and told him that you wanted to get married in Vegas.
You tried to settle down in your seat and sleep for the rest of the flight when there was an announcement from the speakers.
“Good afternoon, everyone. We're flying at 26,000 feet, moving up to 30,000 feet, and we've got clear skies all the way to Las Vegas. Right now, we're bringing you some in-flight entertainment. One of our first class passengers would like to sing you a song inspired by one of our coach passengers. And since we let our first class passengers do, pretty much whatever they want, here he is…”
Guitar strums began to flood the couch cabin from the first class passenger, making everyone curious of who it was. A man behind you even asked his friend if that was Van Halen speaking earlier. Then, a familiar voice began to sing.
“I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad,
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad,
All I wanna do is grow old with you,
I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches,
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks,
Oh, it could be so nice, growing old with you…”
You cover your mouth in disbelief, tears forming in your eyes, when you realized that that voice could be Ted. But how? And why? Thirty thousand feet in the air and he was actually here in the same plane as you?
The curtain that separated couch and first class parted, revealing Ted in a white suit and a bow tie playing one of his old guitars, his warm brown eyes landing on you and it was the most welcoming sight you’ve ever seen. He smiled and continued to strum, making sure you know that the song was for you.
“I'll miss you,
Kiss you,
Give you my coat when you are cold,
Need you,
Feed you,
Even let you hold the remote control…”
You couldn’t help but laugh at his lyrics. It was then when Donny woke up and took in the situation, seeing everyone’s attention on Ted as his eyes never left yours. You placed your hands on your chest, your heart beating rapidly as you smiled.
“What the hell is he doing here?” Donny muttered angrily, noticing that your eyes had hearts in them.
He got up from his seat to approach Ted. A flight attendant appeared to intercept, blocking his path with a serving cart. He growled in frustration, cutting through the middle row to get around and almost tripping as the other passengers complained. Once he reached the other aisle, Van Halen appeared with another serving cart.
“You better get out of the way, Van Halen, you have nothing to do with this. You’re going to get hurt,” Donny warned.
A tall man towered over Donny and glared down at him. “Don’t you dare talk to Van Halen like that.”
Donny threw a punch at him, but he easily grabbed his fist and pushed him away. Donny backed up, trying to find another way to get to Ted, when he was pushed into the bathroom, the door blocked by the serving cart. He cursed under his breath, kicking and slamming the door.
Ted slowly approached you and continued to sing.
“So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink,
Put you to bed when you've had too much to drink,
Oh, I could be the man who grows old with you,
I wanna grow old with you.”
He knelt next to you as he finished the song. The passengers began to whistle and cheer, but you didn’t pay much attention to them when Ted was here.
“That was so beautiful,” you whispered, trying to keep the tears at bay.
Ted smiled shyly. “I have a most excellent confession to make,” he whispered back, “that song was about you.” Your face broke into a large smile as you let out a watery laugh. “I’m in love with you.”
“And I am so in love with you.”
Never in a million years did Ted think that he would be marrying the girl of his dreams. Someone he could grow old with.

Ted to the Rescue (Theodore “Ted” Logan Imagine)
This was requested.
Summary: You’re sick and stuck at home, but Ted’s there to make it all better.
Tumblr media
You sighed as you sat in your bed, feeling bored and miserable beyond belief. You were sick and forced to stay home from school, which you most certainly didn’t mind, but it also meant that you couldn’t hang out with your two best friends.
Bill S. Preston, Esq. and Ted Theodore Logan, as they liked to call themselves, were your best friends and had been since your middle school days. You had just moved to San Dimas and walked into school, wearing a Van Halen shirt. The two boys immediately befriended you and you’d been inseparable ever since. You were even in their band, Wyld Stallyns. You played the drums while Bill and Ted both played guitar. You three weren’t super great, but you were all practicing and becoming better as time went on.
You had been cooped up in your room for going on three days and were about to go crazy. You hadn’t been able to hang out with your friends or jam out with them, which you found to be totally bogus. They kept in touch with you over the phone at least.
You flopped back into your bed and stared up at the ceiling as Mötley Crüe played in the background. All you’d been able to do is listen to music, read, or watch tv. It became boring after a while.
Vince Neil just started singing the lyrics to “Take Me to the Top” when someone busted into your room. You raised up quickly and looked, freaked out because no one was supposed to be in your home. Both of your parents were away at work while your sibling was at school.
“Greetings my most excellent friend!” Ted exclaimed from the doorway, his hands full of what appeared to be board games. “I come bearing gifts in your most needed time.”
“Ted?” You asked with a confused look on your face. “What are you doing here? You’re supposed to be in school and I’m sick, which means you aren’t supposed to be here. How did you even get in the house?”
“I skipped,” he replied as he shrugged as if it was nothing. “It was bogus! Bill wasn’t there because he had to go to the dentist so I was all alone. Also, you forget that I know where the spare key is.”
“I hate that and all, but your dad is going to be so pissed if he finds out that you skipped school,” you told him. “You know he’s just trying to find any excuse to ship you off to military school in Alaska.”
“I know,” Ted said and rolled his eyes. “It’s bogus, but I’ll take the heat. I haven’t seen you in days. I’ve really missed you and I knew you must be going out of your mind cooped up. I thought I’d come and cheer you up.”
You smiled at that. Ted was such a sweetheart. He was always doing things like this for you and for Bill also. He liked to make sure his friends were happy and would do anything for them. That’s just the kind of person he was.
“I really appreciate that, Ted,” you told him. “I’m sick though. You shouldn’t be here. I’d hate to put you in the shape that I’m in. It’s definitely most heinous.”
“It’s a chance I’m willing to take,” he replied as he stepped into your room and laid everything down on your bed. “Now make some room for me so we can play some board games and listen to some great tunes.”
You scooted over and made some room for him. He sat down right across from you and bobbed his head along to the music, seeming to enjoy your music choice. He showed you the games he brought and you ended up choosing Battleship. It’d been a while since you’d played it so you thought you would give it a whirl.
————
“This is bogus!” Ted yelled as he looked frustrated. “You sunk my battleship...again!”
You grinned, triumphantly, and stuck your tongue out at your best friend. It seemed you were both quite competitive and he was not happy that you were winning. It was all in good fun of course, which is what you kept reminding him.
“I guess you’re just not as skilled as I am,” you told him and shrugged your shoulders.
“I demand a rematch,” he said as he looked at you.
“Ted, I’m tired of playing this,” you told him. “I beat you fair and square.”
He sighed and nodded as he accepted his defeat. He put the game away as you grabbed a tissue from the nightstand and sneezed into it a few times. You groaned as you wiped your nose then sniffled. Ted looked over at you and frowned.
“You feeling alright, babe?” He asked you in concern.
“Yeah, just still dealing with this mess,” you told him and waved it off. “I’ve been feeling a bit better though so I guess that’s a way of looking on the bright side.”
You glanced over at your alarm clock on your nightstand as you threw the tissue into the small waste basket, finding that it was time for you to take your antibiotics again. You were about to stand up, but Ted stopped you.
“Where are you going?” He asked you. “You should be staying in bed.”
“Alright, dad,” you told him as you rolled your eyes and snorted. “I’m going to grab some water so I can take my antibiotics.”
“No, I’ll go get it for you,” he replied and smiled as he stood up. “I’m thirsty myself. Need anything else while I’m down there?”
“Maybe you can bring up a snack?” You asked and used your puppy dog eyes on him.
“You got it, babe,” he said and smiled before he left to go down to your kitchen.
You moved off of your bed and put on a different record, opting with some Guns N’ Roses. You plopped back down in your bed and played with a loose thread you found on your sweatpants as you waited for Ted. You were in better spirits since he showed up at least. You weren’t feeling nearly as miserable as you had been.
Ted finally walked back into your room, carrying two bottles of water along with some snack foods. You smiled as he deposited the snacks onto your bed then he handed you your water.
“Thank you, Ted,” you told him as you took it from him.
You took your antibiotic before you grabbed for a bag of cookies that he had brought up. He was already munching on some chips, happily.
“This beats the shit they feed us at school,” Ted commented with a mouth full of chips.
“Theodore,” you scolded him, playfully.
“What?” He asked. “It’s true! The food at school is most heinous. Apparently it was going to be meatloaf surprise today.”
“Eww,” you commented with a disgusted look.
“Yeah,” Ted said and shook his head. “The surprise is that it tastes like shit.”
You laughed at him as he started laughing himself. Usually all you did was goof off with each other like this, but it was always fun. You were just missing Bill in all of this. Of course you hung out with the boys separately and they hung out without you sometimes too, but you were like the three musketeers together.
The rest of the day was spent talking, listening to music, and goofing off. It was perfect. It really lifted your spirits up and made you feel better. Ted made sure you were taking your medicine when you were supposed to and was helping to take care of you. He was being a great friend.
“I guess I should be heading home before your parents come home and find me here,” Ted said.
“Yeah, they told me no visitors while I’m sick,” you told him. “I’m pretty sure that included you too. Thank you for dropping by though. I really appreciate it and it was most excellent.”
“Of course, Y/N,” he said and smiled. “I wasn’t going to let you suffer alone. I haven’t seen you in days and I really missed you.”
You smiled at that as he held his arms open for a hug. Your eyes widened slightly as you shook your head at him.
“Ted, no,” you told him. “I’m sick. You’ve already risked being around me enough.”
“I don’t care,” he said. “Now come over here and give me a hug or I’ll just come over there and do it.”
You rolled your eyes, but laughed as you went over to him and wrapped your arms around him. He wrapped his around you in return and squeezed you to him. You giggled as he let go of you and gathered all of the board games up to take with him.
“I’ll call and check in on you later, babe,” he told you. “Stay excellent.”
“Stay excellent, Ted,” you told him as he left your room.
You smiled as you sat there alone. You weren’t feeling bad or lonely like you had been earlier thanks to your best friend, Ted.

Let It Snow, Dude
Here’s my Secret Santa gift for @senator-mothman! I hope you like it! :)
Ted had often hoped that one morning in late December, he would wake up to see a fresh blanket of powdery snow on the ground.
Unfortunately for him, temperatures hadn’t dropped below freezing for long enough to make his wish come true in a long time.
He supposed California wasn’t going to switch climates with Vermont any time soon, so all he could do was dream.
After a fight with his dad, Ted goes to Bill's house for some cheering up.
Read on AO3 or below the cut.
It was winter break, and Ted was ready. After a grueling four months of school, he finally had ample time to sit around all day watching MTV, hanging out with Bill, and practicing his most mediocre guitar riffs. His history homework was over for the time being, and Ted was going to make the most of it.
Winter break in San Dimas, unlike other places, didn’t have the same seasonal connotations that one would expect of the holidays. His hometown wasn’t exactly the ideal winter wonderland. For as long as Ted had known, it had never once snowed there. He supposed that the lack of freezing temperatures could be a good thing, but at the same time, snow could be worth the gnarly cold.
He’d often hoped that one morning in late December, he would wake up to see a fresh blanket of powdery snow on the ground, just waiting to be made into a snowman or packed down to make an ultra fast sledding course right there in his front yard. Unfortunately for Ted, temperatures hadn’t dropped below freezing for long enough to make his wish come true in a long time. He supposed California wasn’t going to switch climates with Vermont any time soon, so all he could do was dream.
Today, ‘making the most’ of his break meant sitting on the couch in his living room, watching some old action movie he had never heard of. It was a Saturday afternoon, and Deacon was out at a friend’s, so Ted had the house to himself. Well, himself, and his dad, who was busy finishing up some paperwork in his room. Close enough to all alone, he thought. It was in the middle of a black-and-white car chase that the telephone rang. Ted rolled off the couch, and rushed over to pick up before it went to the answering machine. He slid across the kitchen, and answered just before the last ring.
“This is the Logan residence,” He said. He had to be formal, just in case it was one of his dad’s heinous coworkers who wouldn’t hesitate to shout at him for a single usage of ‘dude’.
“How’s it hanging, dude?” Bill’s voice said.
Ted’s mood was immediately improved. “Hey dude! I haven’t talked to you in a most egregiously long period of time.”
“Ted, we talked for like four hours last night.” Bill said.
He was right. “Still, my friend, that was ages ago.”
“Most accurate. Anyways, Missy and my dad are gone today, so the whole house is free for us to rock as loud as we want.”
“Excellent! I’ll come over right away.” He hung up quickly, eager to leave as soon as possible.
Ted was halfway out the door when a voice sounded from behind him. “Where do you think you’re going, son?” Captain Logan said.
Ted turned to face him. “Just to Bill’s house. We have to practice in order for Wyld Stallyns to become world-renowned, you know.”
Captain Logan pinched the bridge of his nose, grumbling with annoyance. “How many times have I told you that your band nonsense has to stop? If you really want to be successful, go out and get a real job like a normal person.”
“But dad, dude-”
“And stop with the ‘dude’!” He was getting really angry now. “Did I raise you to talk like some, some delinquent?”
“Delinquent?” What did that mean, again? Something bogus, Ted assumed.
“It’s that Preston boy, isn’t it? He’s a bad influence on you, Theodore. I know all of this,” He gestured generally to Ted. “Isn’t my fault, so it must be him who is making you so abnormal.”
Abnormal? “What are you saying, dad?”
“I’m saying that you need to stop being so childish, and grow up already. Leave your band and friend behind, and start acting mature for once in your life.”
Leave Bill? He would never. “Bill is my best friend! I can’t ‘leave him behind’!”
Captain Logan’s temper was worsening. His face was cherry red, and he looked like he was about to explode. “Yes, you can Ted! And you will! It’s not normal for two young men to be close like you are. People are going to start thinking bad things about you unless you straighten out. Do you understand me? Or are you too stupid to get that one thing drilled in your head?”
Ted had had it. He could handle being called weird, being called stupid, and even being called a failure, but saying any of that about Bill was a step too far. “You’re bogus, dad! All you want is for me to be exactly like you! You know what? I’d rather be a failure with Bill than a success with you and your heinous ideas about what’s allowed and not allowed!” And with that, Ted turned and slammed the front door right in his dad’s face. He ran off before his dad could shout at him to come back.
Ted’s face was hot with rage as he ran all the way to Bill’s house, not caring that he was out of breath by the time he rang the doorbell to the suburban home.
The door swung open only seconds later, and he was greeted by Bill’s smiling face. “Hey dude! What’s-” He paused, staring at his friend’s face. “Ted, you look most troubled.”
Ted shrugged. “It’s my dad. He was saying some heinous stuff about me being a delicatessen, or something like that.” He walked into the house, closing the door behind him. “He was talking about how I should grow up and stop hanging out with you.”
Bill shook his head. “What a dickweed! Don’t let him get to you, dude. He just doesn’t realize how excellent you are.”
Ted smiled. “Thanks, Bill.” They went into the kitchen, where Missy’s expensive cooking appliances were littering the counters. “Still, it just bothers me, I guess. He doesn’t have these problems with Deacon…”
“Ted, it’s not your fault that your dad is so non-triumphant. He’s old. That’s what old people do. Criticize the youth to perpetuate a cycle of generational divide.” Bill said.
“Woah,” Ted said. “That’s deep, dude.”
“Nah, I just read it somewhere.”
Ted sat down at the table and began to run his fingers through his hair. “I dunno, dude. It’s just like… I feel like even if we become huge rockstars, he’ll never respect me, y’know?”
Bill nodded. “I get it.” He put a hand on Ted’s shoulder.
Ted looked up to see Bill’s soft features, and a comforting expression that said ‘everything is gonna be fine, dude’. Their eyes remained locked on each other for a moment too long, and Ted felt his cheeks heating up. He looked down quickly, hoping that Bill hadn’t seen him blushing.
Bill stepped away, and moved to open a cabinet above the messy counters. “I know what’ll cheer you up, dude!” He pulled a can of cocoa powder out of the cabinet. “Hot chocolate!” He set it down, and grabbed two cups. “Remember when we used to have contests to see who could drink the most?”
Ted remembered their feats of strength from when they were no more than nine or ten. “Yeah. Those usually ended with both of us hurling.”
“True, my most esteemed colleague, but this time, we will regulate ourselves.” He filled the kettle and set it on the stove. In just a few minutes, the water was boiling, and Bill mixed the powder, water, and milk in the mugs, before setting them down on the table. “Bone apple tea,”
“Thanks, dude.” Ted said, picking up the cup and taking a sip. It was, well, hot chocolaty. “Most flavorsome, my friend.” He said, quickly chugging the rest of the drink.
“Dude! You’re supposed to savor it.” Ted looked to see that Bill had barely even sipped his cocoa.
“Sorry,” Ted smiled apologetically. “I guess my old habits got the best of me.”
Bill shook his head, but Ted could see the hint of a smile on his lips. “Now I’m going to drink mine as slow as I possibly can to make you pay.”
“Bill,” Ted groaned, “Why must you torture me like this?”
After an agonizing ten minutes of Bill drinking his cocoa sip by sip, the cup was finally empty. “Do you see the errors of your ways now?”
“Sure, sure,” Ted said, grabbing the cup and putting in in the sink. He’d wasted enough time already. Now, it was time to get rocking. “C’mon, dude!” Barely realizing what he was doing, Ted grabbed Bill’s hand, and dragged him out of the kitchen and to the side door to the garage.
Okay. This was new. He was holding his best friend’s hand. It was casual, and Bill had hardly noticed. Ted couldn’t let go of his hand, or it would seem like Ted knew it was weird, which would make it even stranger that he had held it in the first place. But every second he held onto it, it made his heart beat faster and faster. He hoped that Bill wasn’t freaked out by the sudden, unexpected hand-holding.
“Ted?” Bill was looking at him, confusion in his blue-green eyes. “You okay, dude?”
Ted snapped out of his jumbled thoughts, and realized that they were already in the garage, standing there, holding hands. “Yeah, I, uh-” He quickly let go of Bill’s hand, shoving his hands in his pockets instead. “Sorry. I was just spacing out.”
Bill frowned. “Okay…” Thank god, Bill hadn’t totally freaked out at what had just happened.
Ted was reaching to pick up his (well, Bill’s) Fender when-
“Ted!” Bill yelled. “It’s snowing!”
“What?” Ted turned to see that, sure enough, through the small glass panes on the garage door, there were tiny white dots floating down against a light gray sky. “No way!”
“Yes way, Ted!” Bill slid the garage door open, and they two boys rushed out to see the snowflakes falling around them. It was light, and the snow seemed to be melting as soon as they touched the ground.
The two of them stayed staring at the sky as the snow continued. Ted stuck out his tongue, struggling to catch a snowflake on it. After a moment of trying, he managed to get one. “Dude! These just taste like water!” He said, turning to Bill.
“What did you think? They’re made of water.” Bill smiled at his friend.
“I dunno.” Ted caught another one. “I kind of thought they’d taste like peppermint.”
The wind picked up, and Ted shivered. No wonder it was snowing. This was the coldest that San Dimas had ever been.
“Woah, it’s freezing.” He said, rubbing his hands together to generate warmth.
“Give me your hands,” Bill said, reaching out to Ted.
Ted chucked awkwardly. “Uh, what?”
“It’ll keep us both warm. Like how penguins huddle and stuff.”
That makes sense enough, Ted reasoned. He held out his hands, and Bill took them. It was nice. Warm. He liked it. The wind stirred up dead leaves around their feet as the snow dampened Ted’s hair. It wasn’t a winter wonderland, but it was close enough.
Bill shifted a bit, and moved his hand so that their fingers were intertwined. But Ted didn’t question it. Even though this was new, it already felt normal, like the two friends had been doing it for years.
Still, Ted couldn’t get his mind off of Bill as they stood in the falling snow. Bill’s cheeks were rosy, flushed from the cold temperatures, and his eyes were bright, fixed on the sky above. Ted couldn’t help notice the way that a few stray snowflakes lay on his blonde curls and the way that his soft pink lips were parted just enough to see his almost perfectly white teeth. Ted wondered if Bill’s lips needed warming up, too.
Bill looked over to him, catching him as he stared. “What is it, dude?”
Ted glanced down, face flushed as he averted Bill’s gaze. He really shouldn’t have been staring like that. “Nothing.” He said, shaking his head.
“Dude,” Ted looked back to see that Bill was looking him right in the eye. Bill’s eyes moved down, trailing until he was looking at Ted’s lips.
Ted could feel his cheeks heat up as his friend let go of his right hand. God, he had just majorly screwed up! He was about to apologize to Bill when he felt a warm hand move to his cheek. Ted looked to see that Bill was reaching up to cup his face as his other hand moved to Ted’s back. Ted kept his eyes locked on Bill as the boy closed his eyes and leaned in.
His eyes fluttered closed as Bill’s lips met his, warmth spreading from his head to his toes. Ted moved his hands from his sides to rest on Bill’s waist as he held his friend closer to him. He could feel the snowflakes melt on his skin as they stood there, taking in the feeling of each other together like that, while the wind ruffled Ted’s hair.
After a moment, they both were out of breath. Ted opened his eyes as he broke the kiss. He looked into Bill’s eyes, which were wide in amazement, as they both broke out into laughter.
“Woah,” Was all Ted could manage as he broke out into a goofy grin.
Bill nodded, smiling just as wide as him. “Yeah, woah.”
Ted felt his heart swell as Bill leaned in again, this time much quicker, and held Ted’s face in his hands. When they broke apart again, it had stopped snowing. Ted couldn’t care less. Because in that moment, he only had one thing on his mind. Bill.
That day, in late December, in a town called San Dimas, something miraculous happened. Most people considered the miraculous thing to be a small snow flurry, the first in years, that had lasted only minutes.
But for two Californian valley boys named Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan and Bill S. Preston, Esquire, the real wonder wasn’t the snowfall, but what had happened during that snowfall.
What had happened wasn’t just miraculous.
It was, as the two of them would say, excellent.

-Love Deidra
Tumblr media
Deidra Goldberg smiled and rolled her eyes as she watched her best friends and band mates Bill S. Preston Esquire and Ted “Theodore” Logan jam out on their guitars after introducing themselves as the ‘Wild Staylions”; just like they always did at every band practice.
It was after school on a Thursday afternoon and Deidra and the guys were holding their weekly band practice in Bill’s garage.
Deidra was the third and only girl, member in the band playing the drums and Bill and Ted always teased her that she was going to be the next Karen Carpenter, especially after watching her play as well as she did.
On this day, Deidra was glad Bill’s dad and stepmom Missy were out of town for the week because if they had been home, Bill’s dad would already be downstairs complaining about the noise.
The house always vibrated and shook when Bill and Ted played their guitars and Deidra could have sworn that she heard several things break from inside the house.
She couldn’t even tell if what she felt was just the house vibrating or her phone in her jeans pocket.
Pulling out her phone, Deidra saw a text from her best girlfriend Emily asking what she was doing. With a grin and a shake of her head, Deidra texted back:
‘Watching as Bill and Ted cause an earthquake. What about you?”
A few moments later Emily texted back: “Lol Working on history homework 🤮”
Deidra texted back: “You poor soul. Practice will be over in another half hour. You want me to come over and help you?”
“Yes plz!” Emily texted back. “You’re a lifesaver!”
Deidra grinned and texted back a kiss emoji, telling Emily she’d see her then.
She was just about to put her phone back in her pocket when she noticed the guitars and vibrating had stopped.
“Who’re you talking to?” Bill asked Deidra, a grin on his face with Ted looking as well with his own signature cute, goofy grin.
Deidra almost jumped a mile at the sound of her friend’s voice, a blush creeping up on her face as she put her phone away.
“Emily”, she replied as she stood up, walking over to her drum set she kept in Bill’s garage and sitting down on the small, wooden stool.
She took her drumsticks in her hands before playing a small drum riff. “She wanted to see what I was up to.”
Ted noticed the soft blush on his best friend’s cheeks and gave him a teasing grin.
“Did she ask about Bill?” he asked Deidra in a teasing voice.
“Shut, up Ted”, Bill said through clenched teeth, his face getting redder as he put his guitar strap back on.
Ted smiled at Deidra and she smiled back, laughing a little.
They both knew Bill had a big crush on Emily only he was too shy to say much of anything to her.
Whenever the trio were at school and Emily came over to talk to Deidra, Bill would almost immediately start blushing and sweating while fumbling on his words as Emily said hi to him.
As a result, Bill would wave goodbye before running off.
~~~
“Bill”, Deidra said after practice had ended for the day.
The trio were now sitting outside Bill’s open garage having a snack of barbecue chips and Coke, Metallica’s Enter Sandman playing quietly on the large stereo inside the garage.
“Why don’t you just talk to Emily?” she smiled softly and took a small sip of her drink, a thought crossing her mind. “What do you think she’s gonna do?” Deidra teased. “Bite you?”
“No!” Bill replied, circling his finger around the rim of his Coke can nervously as he thought about Emily. “It’s just that…well, s-she’s just…so-so pretty.”
A small smile crossed his features as he pictured Emily’s long blonde hair and beautiful smile as she walked down the hall in between classes.
He thought about the way her blue eyes shined and in Bill’s opinion, her eyes put the stars in San Dimas to shame at night.
“Really…. really pretty”, Bill added dreamily as he found himself drifting off into space.
“Well, Deidra’s pretty!” Ted spoke up, causing Deidra’s heart to skip a beat, her own face growing hot. “And you can talk to her just fine, Dude!”
Deidra felt herself sweating as she rubbed the back of her neck nervously, her heart beating faster.
When it came to crushes, Deidra knew exactly what Bill was feeling.
She herself harvested a secret crush on Ted that she had been keeping to herself ever since the trio had started at San Dimas High a couple years ago.
The trio have known each other since first grade and became the best of friends ever since, but it wasn’t until their freshman year of high school that Deidra began to think of Ted as more than just a best friend.
At times all she wanted to do was tell Ted how she felt: how cute she thought he looked when his long, dark hair fell in his face, how his chocolate brown eyes lit up whenever he was excited about something, and how he was so kind, so loving…so…so-
Deidra was brought out of her thoughts at the sound of the volume of Metallica’s hit song intensifying.
Bill and Ted were now in the pathway of the garage, Ted’s hand on the volume dial.
“Here comes my favorite part!” Ted cried as he made eye contact with Bill who had an equally excited smile on his face.
“Excellent!” the boys cried out in perfect unison before doing their signature air guitar move.
 (A/N: I recommended listening to 2:42-3:57 as you read the next bit 🥰 )
Deidra watched with a smile as Bill and Ted ran back out to the front of the garage, Coke cans in hand as the ground beneath them began to vibrate due to the heavy bass of Metallica’s guitar and drum riffs.
The boys mimicked the guitar’s long instrumental break, sliding on the pavement as if they were preforming an actual concert.
Deidra smiled and slightly shook her head.
They were dorks all right, but they were her dorks and she wouldn’t trade her friendship with them for anything in the world.
When the guitar break ended,  being replaced by the sound of drums, Bill and Ted jumped back on their feet, striking dramatic poses as well as serious, dark expressions as the drums in the song increased and the guitar riffs grew darker, Ted tapping his foot to the beat as his and Bill’s heads hung low.
“Now I lay me down to sleep”, Ted recited, matching James Hetfield’s tone of voice perfectly, using his Coke can as a microphone.
“Now I lay me down to sleep”, Bill repeated in his normal voice, doing the same with his can.
“I pray the Lord my soul to keep”, Ted continued, slowly making eye contact with his best friend though each passing line of the prayer.
“I pray the Lord my soul to keep”, Bill echoed.
“If I die before I wake…”
“If I die before I wake…”
“I pray the Lord my soul to take.”
“I pray the Lord my soul to take.”
“Hush little baby don’t say a word!” Ted sang after striking another quick pose.
He whipped his head to match the two beats in between, his dark hair flying before landing in his face, making him look mysterious and his eyes shining didn’t help matters much.
Deidra gulped and wiped her forehead with the back of her hand.
Sure, it was hot out here…but when did it suddenly get hotter?
“And never mind that noise you heard!”
Ted whipped his head a couple more times before Bill took the next line, striking another pose as well. “It’s just the beasts under your bed!” he sang before moving closer to Ted so they could share the same Coke can.
“In your closet in your head!” the boys belted out in perfect unison before downing their drinks and tossing them into the open trashcan, the cans landing inside with ease.
Bill and Ted threw their heads back as the song’s chorus played on before looking at each other and busting out laughing, returning to their fold-out chairs.
“You guys are crazy”, Deidra laughed with a smile before finishing her soda.
“Oh, yeah?” Bill asked giving her a teasing smirk before tackling her in a headlock, causing Deidra to laugh even harder.
“You’re the crazy one for hanging out with a couple crazies like us, Dudette.”
“Dog pile!” Ted cried happily as he tackled his friends.
Ted quickly scrambled beside Bill and started giving Deidra a noogie.
Now, you might be thinking to yourself: what girl would allow herself to wrestle around with her two best guy friends as if she were one of the boys?
A girl who has an older twin brother and a younger brother, that’s who.
Yup, Deidra was a middle child between her older twin brother Barry, older sister Erica, and little brother Adam so she was pretty used to rolling around in the dirt or wrestling with her friends.
She watched her brothers do it all the time.
Ted pulled Deidra a bit closer against him in order to give her a harder noogie and it was then that Deidra had to stop for a moment and notice the strong, wonderful scent of Ted’s cologne that was lingering off his clothes.
God, he smelled so good!
‘We’re off the Never-Neverland’ came the song from inside the garage, and as if on cue, the trio started laughing harder as they fell backwards, losing their balances as the song came to an end.
“Oh, man!” Deidra laughed as she struggled to catch her breath, her head under Bill and Ted’s chins. “Y-You guys are a couple of nut-jobs!”
“That’s us!” Ted agreed with a goofy smile, Bill nodding in agreement.
“Yup!” Bill added. “That’s us, nut-jobs!”
He gave Ted a high-five.
As they all tried to catch their breaths, Deidra blushed at the sound of Ted’s fast-paced heartbeat in her ears.
Oh, how she wanted so badly to kiss his neck and lovingly caress his chest…to tell him she loved him.
She could have laid right there forever.
To her, the sound of Ted’s heart beating was like a beautiful, romantic harp song that only she could understand.
“Hey, Dee”, Ted spoke up, his voice tearing into her thoughts. She was noticing his heart rate slowing back to normal. “Weren’t you supposed to help Emily with something?”
Deidra’s eyes popped open, her fantasies vanishing like a puff of smoke as the beautiful harp song scratched to a stop.
“Shit!” she cried. “You’re right!”
Hurrying to her feet, Deidra noticed that the afternoon sun was starting to set.
Quickly pulling out her phone, she saw that it was 6:26 p.m. which means that Emily had called her three hours ago!
“Oh, man!” Deidra cried. “Emily’s never gonna let me hear the end of this!”
“Tell her I said hey!” Ted called good-naturally as Deidra started running down Bill’s driveway.
“Oh, sure!” Deidra called back as she came to a halt. “If she lets me get a word in anyhow!”
Bill gave Deidra a smile.
“Are you and Emily coming to my party tomorrow night?” he called.
Ever since Bill got word that his dad and Missy were going out of town, only one thought came to his mind: throwing the best party San Dimas has ever seen!
The teen had been planning this party since the end of the trio’s last year of junior high and now that it was finally going to become a reality, Bill was totally prepared and ready for anything.
The party was all Bill talked about ever since his dad and Missy shut the front door last Saturday afternoon.
‘I don’t have time for this, Bill!’ Deidra thought to herself.
“I’ll double check with Emily and she if wants to come!” Deidra called, “but I know I’ll be there for sure! See you guys in school tomorrow! Stay excellent, guys!”
And with that she was off.
As she ran off to her best friend’s house, Deidra smiled as she thought about Bill and Ted and how fun they were to be around.
She wouldn’t trade their friendship for anything in the world and she was confident nothing could ever ruin that, but at the funny feeling in her stomach as she thought about Ted, Deidra wasn’t so sure.
‘Oh, c’mon now!” Deidra told herself. “You guys have been friends for so long, nothing can break that.”
She smiled as she turned a corner, closer to Emily’s street and for the first time since she developed feelings for Ted, Deidra was feeling pretty good about the bond she had with Bill and Ted.
They have seen each other through all kinds of fights as well as good times and bad.
It felt as if they had been through everything together and when you’ve been through what you feel like are the hardest times in your life with your closest friends by your side, nothing’s impossible.
Well, that’s exactly what Deidra was feeling and thinking as she knocked on Emily’s front door.
However, if those feelings would remain the same in the next 24-hours’ time, Deidra was about to find out.
