Unveil the Perks of Opting for a Photo Booth Rental In San Diego
Tumblr media
In an era where the currency of social gatherings is shared moments and cherished memories, incorporating a photo booth has become a transformative addition to events. The popularity of photo booth rental services is rising, offering an enticing blend of entertainment, interaction, and tangible keepsakes. Discover the advantages of having a photo booth at any event in San Diego – be it a wedding, corporate function, birthday party, or any special occasion.
Elevating Entertainment and Engagement:
Beyond a mere picture-taking corner, a photo booth rental is a dynamic source of entertainment that injects playfulness into your event. It transcends age barriers, inviting guests to step into the booth, don quirky props, and unleash their creativity with inventive poses. This interactive facet cultivates a lively atmosphere, fostering mingling, breaking the ice, and shared laughter, contributing to camaraderie. The customizable backdrops and an array of props transform the photo booth rental san diego into a canvas for creativity, enabling individuals to express themselves and partake in a collective experience of joy.
Immediate, High-Quality Keepsakes:
Among the standout advantages of a photo booth is the instant gratification it provides. Unlike traditional event photography, where guests might have to wait for professional photos, a photo booth ensures immediate prints. These tangible, high-quality photo strips serve as instant keepsakes, encapsulating the essence of the event. Personalized mementos adorned with event-specific themes or branding become tangible tokens guests can take home, ensuring your event lingers vividly in their memories.
Strategic Branding Opportunities:
A photo booth rental evolves into a strategic tool for customizable branding at corporate events, product launches, or brand activations. Personalizing photo strips with company logos, slogans, or event themes transforms each print into a branded souvenir. San Diego photo booth rental services enhance brand visibility and leave a lasting impression on event attendees. Integrated social media sharing options further extend your brand's reach as guests share their personalized photos online, amplifying the impact of your branding efforts.
User-Friendly and Effortless:
Modern photo booths prioritize user-friendliness. Equipped with simple touch-screen interfaces and automated processes, guests can effortlessly navigate the booth, capturing moments without the need for a dedicated photographer. A hassle-free experience for event organizers complements the seamless operation, as the photo booth rental service typically includes setup, operation, and teardown by trained staff. This allows hosts to concentrate on other aspects of the event while ensuring guests enjoy a seamless and delightful photo-taking experience.
Amplifying Social Media Presence:
In the age of social media dominance, a photo booth rental emerges as a potent tool for enhancing your event's online presence. Instant social media sharing options empower attendees to share their photos on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter using a customized event hashtag. This user-generated content propels your event in real-time, extending its reach beyond the venue. It becomes a dynamic form of digital word-of-mouth marketing, generating a buzz around your event and building excitement for future gatherings. The seamless integration of a photo booth rental maximizes the impact of your event on various social media platforms.
Conclusion:
Integrating a photo booth rental service into your event transcends the mere capture of images – it's about curating an immersive and enjoyable experience for your guests. From fostering engagement and providing instant, high-quality keepsakes to strategic branding and amplified social media presence, a photo booth introduces a dynamic element that enhances the overall atmosphere of your event. Whether you're aiming to create lasting memories at a wedding or boost brand visibility at a corporate function, the benefits of a photo booth extend far beyond the tangible photo strips, making it an invaluable investment for a spectrum of occasions in San Diego.

Planet of the Apes is getting its very own booth in San Diego this weekend for San Diego Comic Con! I can’t recall if it ever got its own booth when the Andy Serkis trilogy was being released in the 2010’s but this is great to see that the studio is investing in the franchise enough to give it this spotlight at the largest entertainment con in the USA. It will be located outside of the convention center so you don’t even need a badge to get in.
The experience is called Enter The Forbidden Zone and it features a look at the original films as well as the newer movies, even the Tim Burton POTA. There are props, photo opportunities with a full sized Proximus Caesar, posters, costumes, and giveaways of this free mini poster.
Tumblr media
This is all to promote Kingdom’s recent digital release, and upcoming Hulu streaming and DVD release.

no one's ever had me, not like you (j.c.m.)
a/n: this is a small something something that is unofficially part of my unpublished midnight rain series. i owe a lot of this to @cottagecori for hearing "zoo date with javy to see the pandas" and absolutely running with it
summary: You and Javy go on a date to the San Diego Zoo together. It makes you feel like you’re finally getting the romance you had always wanted in high school.
fully inspired by taylor swift's "so high school"
warnings: minimal editing, one or two swear words, kylie wrote FLUFF, they just love each other so much your honor
word count: 1.8k
Tumblr media
“you knew what you wanted and, boy, you got her”
“Did you know penguins aren’t actually monogamous?”
Your head jerks up from looking at the map, to look at your boyfriend who had just come back from the bathroom. “Wh- What?”
“Penguins aren’t actually monogamous. Most species are but,” He sighs, sitting down on the bench next to you. Your eyes flicker over the way his shirt tightens as he leans back. “Not all are. Can’t be making blanket statements.”
“Okay.” You say slowly, eyebrows furrowing. “Did you like, read that on a sign somewhere?”
He taps his temple. “I just know.”
You blink at him. “You’re so weird.”
You look back down at the map, eyes flickering over the neighboring enclosures. “Okay, baby, I’m thinking we should go to the elephants next but I-”
“Can I tell you a secret?” He’s leaned in close, chin propped up on your shoulder.
“Sure.”
“If I was a penguin, I’d only want to spend my fifteen to twenty years of life with you.”
Your cheeks flame up in a way that has nothing to do with the San Diego sun beating down on you. “Javy.” You groan, nudging his shoulder. “Stop.”
He gives you a lopsided grin, pressing a quick kiss to your cheek. “Elephants are just fine my love. Can we stop and get my free refill first though?” He asks, holding up the bright pink flamingo souvenir cup that only a rich tourist could justify. “I’m hankering for a crisp Diet Coke.”
-
You wrap your arms around Javy’s left as he sits next to you in the Sky Tram. He’s thumbing through photos of the day as you look out at the sky night. The city lights of Balboa and beyond are twinkling back at you, a sight that for once in your life doesn’t make your chest ache.
It makes your eyes sting in a way that has nothing to do with the wind, as you think back on all the nights you’d spent up here, feeling so hopeless and lost, feeling like the weight of who you were would never be enough. Like your love of the city lights of San Diego would be the rock that buried you into a life that felt unlivable.
“I love you.” You murmur and he squeezes your thigh.
“I love you too, baby.”
You sigh, tucking your head into your shoulder as his thumb starts rubbing soft circles on your bare skin as he tucks his phone back into his pocket.
“Have I ever told you that being with you is like-” You falter, before humming. “I don’t know, it’s healing in a way.”
“What do you mean?”
You shrug. “I don’t know, you make me feel like- like a little kid. Not- not in a bad way, but good. Safe, carefree, giddy. Like being with you is feeling that childhood excitement I had at my future, but every day. And I- you do all these things with me, like go on a date to the zoo, and you encourage me to do all the things I never got to do, like go in the photo booth and buy fun souvenirs and overpay for mediocre park food. Like, you just make me excited.”
You think telling him that being with him heals your hurt inner child and angry inner teenager may be too raw of a confession for this moment right here, so you let the ocean breeze from not too far away roll over you as Javy shifts in his seat, moving to pull you into his lap as best he can.
It’s dark, but even here and now, you can see the emotion on his face. “I love you so much.”
You nod. “I know.” You say softly.
“I want to keep doing these things with you for the rest of my life. Like, I just always want to be with you, I always want my adventures to be with you. I want to be partners and best friends every day.”
You aren’t sure you have the words to convey the emotion, the love, you have for him, so instead you find his hand and intertwine your fingers.
It’s quiet for a moment, both of you soaking up the night.
“Can we come back for their Christmas stuff? I know you came a lot growing up, but I’ve never been, so I’d kinda like to see it.”
“Mm, I guess for you I can tolerate it. But I’m not sitting on Santa’s lap.”
“Even if I was Santa?” You’re turned away from him, so you can’t be sure, you can almost picture the glimmer in his eyes.
You roll your eyes, even as you feel faint heat in your cheeks. “Funny, you’re a real comedian.”
“Yeah, but you love me.”
“For some reason…”
“What was that?”
“Nothing!”
-
“My feet hurt so fucking bad.” You moan, falling into Javy’s bed alongside him. You prop your head up, looking over at him to see him frowning at your phone. “What?”
“Does this have to be your lock screen?” He twists the phone to show you, but you already know what it’s a picture of.
You’d changed it while waiting in line to see the pandas, the photo of Javy sticking his head out of the ice enclosure definitely meant for children by the seals. He’s grinning, truly from ear to ear, and you had been waiting for him to pop out to snap the photo.
“It’s cute.”
He grumbles, handing your phone back to you. “I don’t think so.”
“You were excited, it’s endearing.” You say, clicking the phone off before sliding it on to the nightstand beside the bed. Your phone is barely set down before he’s wrapping his arms around you, bringing you close to his chest.
“Thank you for coming with me today.” He says softly.
“‘Course. I haven’t enjoyed the zoo like that since I was a kid.”
“I know sometimes I get, I don’t know- overly excited, I guess. It means a lot to me that you came with me and put up with all that. I’m sorry if it was like a lot to put up with, I just- I’ve been looking forward to it for a long time and it meant a lot to me that you shared the day with me.”
You frown, twisting the best you can to look at him with how tightly he’s holding you. “Firstly, you’re talking to the girl who has never met a topic of conversation she doesn’t have an opinion about.” He snorts into your shoulder and you feel a small smile on his lips. “Secondly, don’t you dare feel bad for a second. It’s not putting up with you and it’s never too much. I love you, and that means loving all of you, including the part of you that gets so excited about seeing pandas for the first time that you tell me weird facts about them, like that they have opposable thumbs.”
His grip loosens on you a hair and you take advantage of it, shifting so your back is no longer faced away from him.
“I could never be annoyed with you, not when you let me ramble about niche historical facts for twenty minutes on end.”
“Among many other things.”
You pinch his cheek. “Watch it, mister.” You sigh, scooting closer to him as you tangle your legs together. “I love getting to see you happy, that’s all I’ve ever wanted. And I’m so lucky you feel safe around me to show me this side of you, even if it means I have to hear about how some species of penguins are non-monogamous.”
He gives you a shy smile and his eyes look glassy in the dim light of the bedroom. “What did I do right in a past life to deserve you?” He whispers.
You shake your head. “You didn’t have to do anything to deserve it. Being you is just enough.” You study him for a moment, debating on voicing the thoughts you’d been having since this morning. “Can I tell you a secret?”
He nods.
“When I was in high school — I mean, I guess I’ve always felt like this, but especially in high school — I so badly wanted to be with someone like you. Like I wanted to be with someone who wanted to go to the zoo with me and laugh with me at the most inappropriate of times. I wanted to be with the person who felt like my best friend, that made everyday life a little bit easier. And I guess, I guess maybe I had kind of given up on that for myself. But you- you make me feel like I’m finally getting the easy high school romance I had always wanted. You always make me blush and it makes me feel so-” You swallow. “I don’t know. I don’t know if that made any sense. You make me happy in the best ways. I’ve never been with someone like you.”
Javy starts crying as he shifts, letting you go so he can sit up. Your heart sinks, clearly realizing the words had been too much for the moment. You move with him as he reaches up to wipe at his eyes.
“Oh fuck, baby, I- I didn’t mean to make you cry.” Your heart clenches at the sight, wishing you could undo the last two minutes, but he’s quick to shake his head.
“No, no, I just- I just get overwhelmed sometimes. With how much- how much you love me.” You open your mouth, feeling the apology sitting on your tongue but he shakes his head. “No, no, don’t apologize. Don’t take it back, please.”
You nod, finding his hand. “Okay. Okay, I won’t.”
“I just-” He clears his throat, squeezing your hand. “I just get a little overwhelmed. With how much you mean to me and how openly you love me. It’s just a lot. It’s not that I ever want you to change or want anything about what we have to change, but I just never thought that I’d get to have what we have. I wrote it off.” He sniffs. “I love you - so much. More than you’ll ever know. More than I’ll ever be able to articulate. But I’m glad I did something so right that- that whoever up there decided I get to spend my life with you.”
You smile, pressing a soft kiss to his lips before squeezing his cheek. “I’ll spend every day with you, even if it means hearing weird facts about penguins for the rest of my life. In fact, I would like to hear weird facts about penguins every day for the rest of my life. Like a one a day calendar.”
He snorts, a genuine grin growing on his face. “Aye aye, captain. I’m on it.”

Fortune Teller
Tumblr media
Mark Hamill x Time Traveler! Reader
Summary: after spending most of your life traveling in time and teletransportating everywhere you ever wanted, you decide to stay in a certain year, not knowing that it would result in getting romantically involved with one of your favorite actors during his rise to fame.
Warnings: some death and human experimenting mentions, but nothing too bad, mostly it’s just fluff :)
A/N: omg it took me more than a whole month to write this but it’s finally ready! and probably it’s not 100% accurate to what happened in Mark’s life but hey, it’s fiction, so i hope that you all enjoy it anyways!! love you guys!! 💗✨
Tumblr media
People often think that time traveling and teletransportation is fun, and it is, but after some time it gets… boring.
You discovered your unique abilities when you were just a teenager, basically still a kid, quickly learning how to control those weird moments in which you could just appear in any year or place that you wanted by simply snapping your fingers.
Since then, you visited every city that you ever dreamed of, every year that seemed interesting, and witnessed some historic events with your own eyes, better than any history book.
But now? You decided to calm down for a while, staying in 1976 to live in San Diego for a few months until you can decide what city is the next one in your map.
You have a lot of money for the moment, going back to 1898 to steal diamonds and gold was an easy task, so you don’t have much to worry about, just focusing on burning off your small fortune and have fun around. Maybe you should go to the comic con this evening? you have seen the flyers on every street, and it looks like a good plan for a saturday.
Yeah, you love comics, you have a big collection, but the real reason to go would be to see Mark Hamill in his youth. You remember watching a lot of his movies when you were still a normal kid, so it would be nice to catch a glimpse of him before all that fame hits him like a lightning strike.
After thinking about it all morning, you decide to go.
And half an hour later you’re already walking down the street, wearing some cute clothes and a little bit of makeup, not expecting much more than being just another nerd from the bunch.
The streets are calm, not as busy as they usually are, and everyone seems to enjoy a good time under the bright afternoon sun. But when you get to the comic con then it is a different story. There’s more people than you expected and a tedious long line to get tickets.
However, you don’t have anything better to do, so you wait, leaning against the wall with your arms crossed, simply watching everything around you.
Finally, after some long minutes, you buy your ticket and get in, excited to see how it goes and what new things you can add to your collection.
It’s not a big place, but it’s not small either. There’s a lot of stands with comics for sale, booths with merch for the newest movies, autograph signings from famous illustrators, and of course, the main stage for the press conferences.
Sadly, that stage is still empty, so you still have a lot of time to look around. And that’s exactly what you do, calmly checking out the comics and merch, even more when you get to the star wars table, delighted to be able to see that vintage logo, the small x-wing figures, the printed shirts and the posters and photos.
So, without thinking it twice, you buy a few of those things, hoping that maybe, with a little bit of luck, you’ll get them autographed and then go back to 2030 to sell them for a fortune.
Suddenly, the people cheering and loud voices through the speakers snap you out of your thoughts. The press conference for star wars has started and you’re still away, too lost inside your own mind to realize that you’ve missed the first few minutes.
Taking you newest purchases in your hands, you quickly make your way to the main stage and sit on the last row of chairs. It’s not super near like the front row, but you can perfectly see everything, to the microphones, to the pretty blonde boy who can’t keep still as the two other men answer questions about the movie.
And you never expected Mark Hamill to look that good. You’ve seen famous singers, models, or even roman emperors with your own eyes, but none of them compares to him. He is literally hypnotic, almost like a cosmic being, and now it makes sense of why they chose him to play a hero from another galaxy.
His face, his smile, his everything is just perfect, and with such a beautiful sight the time goes by incredibly fast.
If you could take your phone out to at least have picture of this moment, you would, but you don’t want to attract curious looks from everyone, so you just stare, letting out some dreamy sighs and saving every detail in your own mind.
Once the conference ends, you get up from your seat and walk back to the stands. Perhaps, if you get more lucky, you will find another vintage piece to resell in the future.
And you do, you manage to find some more things that will surely catch a collector’s eye. But when you’re heading to the exit, ready to go back home and call it a day, a familiar blonde hair makes you stop dead in your tracks.
Mark Hamill is there, just a few feets away from you, talking to another man while the other persons walk past the Star Wars stand, oblivious to the fact that they’re ignoring the guy who is about to become an international superstar and the biggest heartthrob of the decade.
And then he looks in your direction, with those piercing blue eyes, smiling slightly, probably finding it cute that you are nervous and not daring to come closer. But how does he expect you to be confident? has he never seen himself in a mirror? he’s the closest thing to an angel and that makes your heart race uncontrollably fast.
“Come say hi, i don’t bite” Mark says, letting out a soft chuckle, his voice kind but teasing.
For a moment you stay still, too impressed with him that you don’t even know what to do. And the fact that he directed a few words to you just makes it worse. In moments like this, you wish that you could be at least a little bit more extroverted and less awkward.
However, you don’t wanna lose the opportunity, so you do your best to approach him and talk normally despite your horrible anxiety.
“Mark, uh- hi, i… i’m one of you biggest fans, been following your career since texas wheelers. Can’t wait to see you in Star Wars.”
Actually, you started following him since you watched the fall of the house of usher as a teenager, but you can’t tell him that for obvious reasons.
And by the way he smiles and tilts his head to the side, it’s not difficult to guess that you’re probably the first fangirl who has come across his path.
“Well, if you liked me in that shitty sitcom, you’re gonna love me in this new movie.” he says, trying his best to lighten the mood.
“Oh, that’s for sure. I’m gonna go the the cinema a couple of times” you answer, as if you didn’t already saw all of his movies on your laptop more than once.
“Sounds like it’s gonna be a total success thanks to you” mark jokes and you smile.
“Star wars is gonna be a success, whether i watch it or not, believe me.”
Mark raises an eyebrow, suspicious as to why would you have so much faith in a new sci-fi movie that not even him believes in.
“How do you know? are you a fortune teller?” he asks.
“Something like that” you say, not wanting to give many details about your weird life. And before he can ask anything else, you hand him the two star wars posters that you just bought an hour ago. “Would you sign this for me? please?”.
He lets out a soft chuckle at your vague answer and then he is kind enough to autograph both of your posters with a black marker, taking his time to write more than just his signature, all while wondering if you are telling the truth or if you just want to mess with him.
Unfortunately, when Mark is almost done signing the second one, another person interrupts him, telling him that someone named Gary is looking for him to discuss some things.
“I need to go” he says, handing you back the two posters. “It was nice meeting you, maybe next time you can tell me the numbers to win the lotto.”
And with that, he just smiles one last time before turning around and getting lost in the crowd. So you stay there a few seconds, incredibly shocked with that first encounter.
His smile and those last words repeat inside your mind over and over again, only for you to realize that yes, he really believes you were messing around with him, but it doesn’t matter to you. The moment was perfect despite his lack of belief.
After that, you just hold the posters against your chest, making your way out of the convention and blushing all the way home.
⋆✮♡✮⋆
The next time you meet him is even more unexpected.
You’re sitting on the warm sand of the Malibu beach, feeling the ocean water on your toes, just having some time to yourself while admiring the beautiful sunset, totally captivated by the bright orange in the horizon.
It’s calm, and soothing. The sound of the waves and the slight breeze allow you to shut down your thoughts and relax for a while.
“I knew that your face was familiar” a male voice interrupts your sacred moment as he sits on the sand next to you. “You’re the fortune teller from the san diego comic con a few weeks ago.”
Of course, that’s a voice that you know quite well. And when you look to your right, Mark is there, talking to you again, looking more handsome than ever with an unbuttoned shirt and golden hair getting messy because of the breeze.
“Yeah it’s me” you answer, slightly confused. “How did you recognize me?”
“Well, someone like you is not easy to forget, you have something… different that makes you stand out from the rest.”
Your heart starts to beat fast again. Hearing him say that you’re unforgettable is more than a dreamy compliment. But, deep down, you know that he probably says that because you are from a different time, you look futuristic, and strange, and that’s what always catches everyone’s attention.
“It’s fine, you can say that i’m weird” you laugh, nervously playing with the sand beneath you.
“No, actually i think you’re quite pretty.”
Your cheeks go red immediately and a dumb smile appears in your lips. What are you supposed to say? you’re too shy to flirt back, so you decide to change the subject.
“What brings you to malibu?”
“I love this place, so i wanna move here” he says, in a more serious tone while looking at the ocean. “What about you?”
“Funny” you say, almost thinking that the coincidences are starting to be too much. “I live here, ten minutes away from the beach.”
“Looks like we’ll be neighbors then” he raises an eyebrow. “I got my eye on a nice property in the shore.”
“Great! come by whenever you need a cup of sugar or whatever”
“I’d probably ask for something more than that.”
With that you just let out a good laugh. If another man said that to you, you’d probably roll your eyes, get up and walk away. But it’s different when it comes to him. And you’ve heard guys say so much worse things in your native years of 2020’s that he almost sounds cute.
“Sure, i can give you some salt too if you need it” you joke around, just to see him smile, with those pearly white teeth and pretty wrinkles on his cheeks. Something that could easily overshadow the incredible sunset.
And you’re too lost in his smile to notice the way he is staring at you, with the same infatuation and curiosity.
“You’re not from here, do you?” Mark asks once the laughter is over. “From the states, i mean.”
There’s that question that everyone always makes. And the one that you always have to lie about. What are you supposed to say? that you are actually from the states but you look different because you were born in 2010 as product between two people who were used for experiments by the government and somehow managed to scape from it? he would call you crazy instead of fortune teller this time.
So you use the same made up story that you created for everyone who asks.
“I was born in spain, but my parents migrated here when i was five. Sadly, they passed away a while ago after i turned sixteen, so now i’m alone in this country.”
“Oh i’m sorry” he says, the smile fading from his face, regretting to touch such a sensitive topic. “I shouldn’t have-“
“It’s fine” you cut him off. Your parents are safe and sound in 2031, living their best life, so you don’t want to bug him with that. “Why don’t you tell me more about yourself?”
And that’s all you needed for him to talk for long minutes, with no intention to stop soon. But you can’t complain, his voice is really soothing, and his stories are entertaining, enough for you to listen attentively for some time, just saying one comment occasionally or laughing at his jokes.
Once more you end up being hypnotized by him, exactly like the first time, or is it that you’re just easy to impress with a pretty face? you’re not sure, but when you realize, the sun is completely gone and it has gotten super late.
You need to go home. And Mark, being a total gentleman, offers to walk you there, because there’s no way that he would ever let you go alone, even less at night.
The playful conversation keeps going all the way there, while walking close to each other, almost bumping shoulders. And when you get to your front door, he holds your hand, carefully, as a way to ask you to don’t go inside yet and stay with him just a few seconds more.
“Will i see you tomorrow?” he blurts out, patiently waiting for your answer, with a nervous smile on his lips.
How could you say no to him?
“Probably” you say, feeling your cheeks get burning red. “If not, you know where to find me.”
You really plan on leaving it there, clearly not expecting much else, just a dramatic goodbye to end the night. But before you know it, he pulls you closer, placing a hand on the nape of your neck to lean in for a kiss.
It’s soft and gentle, a quick peck on the lips, and it’s over before you can even realize what happened. But it makes you feel like the luckiest girl in the world, with thousands of butterflies fluttering in your stomach and a heart that threatens to get out of your chest.
“Good, cause you still owe me the numbers of the lotto.” He says, returning to his funny side as he lets go of your hand.
But you’re way too shocked by the kiss that you can’t even think of a good comeback. So you just smile and say goodbye to him with a wave of your hand, getting into the safety of your home and immediately closing the door.
Maybe Mark wonders if he overstepped your boundaries. Or maybe he thinks that it’s really cute how you got so flustered. You will never know.
It doesn’t matter, though. You’re so happy that you could burst into tears or giggle to yourself the whole night. Maybe you should even go to 2031 to tell your mom exactly what happened, and she would be happy to know that you finally found a decent man instead of a total jerk.
But first, you need to calm down, and probably listen to some romantic songs while praying that you’re not just another notch in his belt.
⋆✮♡✮⋆
Almost six months later you are nervous as hell. Probably more than that. You are terrified.
It’s only a matter of minutes until you and Mark arrive to the ziegfeld theatre for the star wars premiere in new york, but you’re still stuck in traffic, in the leather backseats of a very luxurious car. And when you look out the window, you can already see loads of people around, which makes you feel extremely overwhelmed.
Obviously, you think that you’re managing that anxiety and nervousness quite well, but you don’t, and Mark can easily tell how you’re not having a good time just by the way your hands play with the seams of your expensive silk dress or the fluff of your synthetic fur stole.
“Take a deep breath, please” he tells you, taking one of your hands between his. “It’s gonna be alright.”
Sure, it’s easy for him to say that when his job is to literally have cameras on his face all the time. He’s used to it, but you’re not. And what scares you the most is that this would be the first time in which you appear together in public as a couple.
What if his fans don’t like you? what if you can’t stand all that sudden attention? what if-
“Please” he repeats himself, squeezing your hand. “Just a few pics and we’ll go inside. Can you do that for me?”
“I’ll try” you nod, a shy smile lingering on your lips as you turn your gaze away from the window to look at him.
He looks so calm, and so so handsome. It doesn’t matter if you already watched him getting ready all day, seeing him with that black tuxedo, bow tie and hair combed back, makes your breath falter and your head feel dizzy.
That’s how you realize that you’re screwed. You already fell hard and face first.
Has he fell hard for you too? yes. All this time he has done nothing but prove that he loves you, in ways that you never expected, yet you still can’t comprehend how you managed to pull such a man. It feels unreal.
Minutes later, when you finally arrive to the place, Mark gets out of the car first and then goes to your side to open the door for you, even offering you his hand as an extra help, because he knows that it’s hard to walk with high heels, and also because your legs are trembling due to your nerves.
“I know you can do this, sweetheart” he whispers to you, inviting you to hold on to his arms instead of his hand. “Smile at everyone and that’s it… and please don’t faint.”
You take a deep breath, gather the courage necessary, and then start walking beside him, gripping his arm so hard that you fear to wrinkle his tux.
There’s a lot noise, bright lights everywhere, a multitude of photographers, journalists, press and a much more that doesn’t help with your nerves. It makes you nauseous and sweaty, but you try your best to deal with it, concentrating on Mark and not on anything else.
As soon as you both step on the red carpet, you can practically feel all eyes on you, with the camera flashes immediately going off over and over again. Most of the photographers are focused on Mark, he is the star after all, but some others pay attention to you, the mysterious girl by his side.
And it’s only when you’re being blinded by the intense flashes that you get a slight sense of guilt.
You shouldn’t be doing this. You already messed up his whole timeline. He was supposed to appear on all this pictures with somebody else, with some other girl from his time.
But do you care? not one bit. This is like a dream come true.
And while you’re too deep in your thoughts, posing for the cameras and controlling your nerves, it’s almost impossible for you to notice that soon a few of the photographers find something better to focus on.
This time they don’t point their lenses at Mark, or you, or the expensive clothes that you decided to wear for the occasion…
They’re drawn to the beautiful diamond ring on your left hand.

How do I find out who took a photo of Leonard Nimoy that you posted on Pinterest? It was when he was in a play at the Olde Globe Theatre in San Diego in 1971 - the play was The Man In The Glass Booth. Any feedback would be helpful, as I would like to use the photo in a book I am writing.
So sorry I am responding to this so late. Unfortunately I do not know who took those photos of him in Man In The Glass Booth. I would suggest reaching out to his son Adam Nimoy or his daughter Julie Nimoy on Twitter or (X) and asking them. Maybe attach the specific photo. You could also try a Google reverse image search. Also, I know he was close to Richard Michelson, he has a gallery that features Leonard Nimoy's photography work (Link Here). Maybe he can help find the source of the photo. I'm sorry I can't be more help. Hopefully you find your answers.

At the first release of Tori Amos: Comic Book Tattoo, the Image Comics booth, San Diego Comic Con. I think this was 2008. And now, I've done the cover art for the new limited edition of Tori Amos: Little Earthquakes! I'm sorry, I can't recall who took this photo. But Derek McCulloch wrote me two very beautiful stories to draw for each edition, and editor Rantz Hoseley was also there to walk us all through the process. The new edition is from Z2 Comics.

BioWare Blog post: 'Unveiling The Veilguard: Cast and Characters Detailed at San Diego Comic-Con' [July 31st]
Tumblr media
"San Diego Comic-Con has come to a close, but not before delivering mountains of Dragon Age fun for the amazing fans in attendance. The highlight of the week was the panel we hosted on Friday featuring some of our cast of companions who – in conversation with host Lucy James – shared new insights into their characters and revealed even more lore about Dragon Age: The Veilguard. We also joined our partners at Dark Horse on the showfloor for fan signings, giveaways, cosplay photoshoots, and more. In case you weren’t among the lucky attendees who got to experience this year’s convention in person, don’t worry – we’re here not only to recap all the action but also to share photos from throughout the weekend. Everything kicked off Wednesday night with the Dark Horse booth opening and some giveaways. Our team also enjoyed a celebration of Dragon Age with our partners at Fandom on Thursday night. Then on Friday came our panel “Dragon Age – Meet The Heroic Companions of The Veilguard,” which featured voice actors Zach Mendez (Lucanis), Jessica Clark (Neve), Nick Boraine (Emmrich), and Ali Hillis (Harding) and highlighted the heart of every Dragon Age title: the companions. The panel opened with a bit of background from Creative Director and 16-year BioWare veteran John Epler and Creative Performance Director Ashley Barlow, who helped to cast and direct over a thousand conversations and brought hundreds of characters and storylines to life."
Tumblr media
"As Epler explained, Dragon Age: The Veilguard sees players embark on a perilous quest to face powerful Elven gods and stop the apocalyptic destruction they’re unleashing. You’ll step into the role of Rook, battling on the front lines alongside a deep and compelling cast of companions who together comprise The Veilguard, a group of heroes who have come together to stop the veil from breaking and bringing about the end of the world. Rook must become the unexpected leader who can rally and unite the group. Throughout the game, you can explore the detailed storylines of each companion, navigating love, loss, and complex choices that influence your relationships. “Companions have always been such a big part of this franchise,” Epler asserted at one point during the panel. “You’ll navigate some of the most compelling individual storylines you’ve seen from BioWare. I’m really excited about the bonds players will form.” Barlow later added, “I feel like you can fall in love with any of them. Everyone that has touched this project has put a piece of their heart into it and into all of the different characters you could cross paths with. I know for me at times, in the companion stories, it seemed like I was watching a scene out of my own life. It’s a powerful feeling to have something or someone to relate to on screen.” Meet the Cast With that, the panel shifted towards the companions themselves, as well as the actors who brought each character to life. First up was Zach Mendez (Horizon: Forbidden West, Married Alive), who voices Lucanis: an expert assassin of the Antivan Crow faction. Bloodthirsty, calculated, and a workaholic, Lucanis was raised with high expectations and fears disappointing those he loves. To him, being an assassin is his only job and identity to be excellent at. “As soon as Zach was cast, he deep dove into Dragon Age and read everything he got his hands on. He did it all to create that depth of character you can really feel,” Barlow remarked. “Zach’s a comedian, he would easily find the humor in anything Lucanis was saying. And sometimes I’d have to remind him he’s a deadly assassin and to stay bloodthirsty, but I think he found this cool way of finding the light in the darkness.”"
Tumblr media
"“After I finished [The Wigmaker Job], I realized this might be the coolest guy I ever get to play,” Mendez said. “What struck me was his mind is as dangerous as his knives. He’s constantly attuning himself to the kind of shifting terrain of every mission. And also, he’s kind of hilarious. I mean, if you look at his relationship with his cousin Illario in The WigMaker Job, they’re constantly giving each other crap. But there’s a lot of love there. So I got to pull from my relationship with my brother, because we love each other dearly but we can be ruthless with each other.” Mendez also revealed to fans that, in addition to voicing Lucanis, he actually recorded lines for a variety of other characters, including the Grey Wardens. “I can go ahead and play a bunch of characters, so I had to really steep myself in the understanding that, okay, the Grey Wardens go through a lot to actually do what they do. They make a pretty intense bond. So, I tried to bring that as best I could to the physicality… I cannot wait to see how it plays out the game.”"
Tumblr media
"Following a few more quips from Zach, the conversation moved to Jessica Clark (True Blood, Pocket Listing) and Shadow Dragons rebel Neve, a cynic with a heart of gold who cares deeply about helping people and never leaves work half-done. She also has ice powers to halt an enemy or take advantage of the environment. “I’d describe her as the working class hero trying to make her hometown better,” Epler commented. “I love her loyalty,” Clark shared. “I love her dedication. I love how much she loves Docktown and its people and how she really sees a different vision that I’m into, as John said, and then what’s previously been depicted, and she’s really really fighting for those people and she loves those people.” Clark also commented on her experience with the casting and recording process: “Even though [the cast members] were all separate disembodied voices a lot of the time, we really all bonded. I know in a lot of projects they’re like all ‘we love each other,’ but we really do! And it just evolved so organically. There was something magical about it just being our voices in the beginning.” Full of Character Next up was Nick Boraine (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Black Sails), who plays Emmrich – a sincere, friendly, and scholarly necromancer who comes complete with a skeletal assistant, Manfred (voiced by Matthew Mercer of Critical Role). “He’s part of the Mourn Watch,” Epler explained, “an elite group of necromancers who are revered in Nevarra, but outside it, they are odd at best and evil at worst. He’s your well meaning but oblivious academic – assumes everyone has an academic’s curiosity, so can be pedantic on select topics.” While Boraine agreed, he found another aspect of the character even more remarkable: “I love the fact that the writers took Emmerich and explored the whole idea of death and the whole idea of necromancing by bringing kindness into it. I really responded to that and got into that and I know it sounds crazy, but it’s to not have this idea that death is vulgar or something to be terrified about, but something to actually engage with on so many levels. I just love the fact that the writers had the courage to do that in a game like this.” Barlow chimed in to share insights from her time working with Boraine: “Nick encompasses Emmrich; his sophistication, and eagerness to teach and learn, his hot nerdiness. Often Nick is just playing off of someone making a sound, and he takes it and internalizes it and gives it meaning and care, which is amazing to watch.”"
Tumblr media
"Finally came Ali Hillis (Mass Effect 3, Naruto) and everyone’s favorite dwarven scout Lace Harding, who returns with a big heart, positive outlook, and some unexpected magical powers. “The world’s changed a lot in the time period since Inquisition,” Epler observed. “She returns as an excellent scout and archer, and has been leading teams through the wilderness while covering friends in battle.” “My favorite things about Harding are the little things like she loves her mom,” laughed Hillis. “You know, she loves to write letters home and she’s always talking about her mama’s stupid stuff like that. I love that relationship. She likes plants and raising plants which is inspirational since I kill them. But just the texture they add to the characters. That’s in general, but for me, it’s those little things that really kind of give me a bunch of stuff to work with in my brain.” Barlow effused, “Ali brought a weight and a history to this project as an anchor of the series. There was a growth to Harding. She’s a veteran now. She’s a trusted voice at the table, and the writers did such a great job of integrating her with the new team and finding the relationships with each of the unique characters.” Photo Opps Our panel ended with a crowd Q&A, but SDCC was just getting started. Our team spent the rest of the weekend giving away posters and exclusive Discord pins, signing those posters, and of course, meeting fans out on the show floor. Footage of the full panel should be available in a couple weeks, so for now we hope you enjoy these photos of our favorite SDCC moments! We’ll have more to share next month – including a new roadmap, more looks at the game, and our official release date (!) – so don’t forget to follow our BioWare and Dragon Age social channels. – The Dragon Age Community Team"

"you hungry back there?" I asked my five year old son Abel from the front seat "very!" "k". We were driving my from San Diego Zoo it was about five and we were hungry and tired. We got out, he held my hand as we walked in "just the two of you?" the hostess asked "yeah!". I sat looking at the menu "you know what you want?" I asked him "i don't know" he put his head on his hands, he tilled his head to the side "your so cute!" i smiled and rubbed the side of his head "mom! stop!" " you sop". "Mom?" "yeah bubba" I looked up he climbed down from his bunch to mine "what/" i asked "look over at that table" i look over to the next table to see the Diaz brothers THE DIAZ BROTHERS, they're are me and my boys favorite fighters. We had shirts, hats, hoodies, posters and watched every fight. Being a single mom you had to do what you had to do, I grew up with my brother fighting and training so I picked up and thing or two. So when I needed money for me and him I would fight.
"is that them?!" he asked " yeah!" I smiled "can I ask for a picture?" he asked a huge smile on his face "umm-" "please! please! pleaseeeee!" "yes go but ask nicely" "okay I will" he jumped out of the bunch. He put his little hands behind his back and walked up to they're table "um i'm sorry to bother you but..." he looked back at me I smiled and nodded "could we take a picture together" both the brothers smiled "of course!" Nick said, Abel looked over to me and gave me a thumbs up I smiled and stood up. "hi.." I smiled "hi" Nate said "this your sister?" he asked Abel "she's my mom" Abel smiled. they all posed and I toke they're photo "thank you guys so much sorry to bother you guys" i said and smiled "don't even worry about it! not a bother at all!" Nick said.
" can I see the picture?" Abel asked "yeah!" I handed him my phone "we have to put this up in my room! i'm going to show everybody! I can't wait" " it is for sure going in your room honey!". We had ate I was still looking over to they're table every now and again, Abel fell asleep in his booth. I paid then went to get up "excuse me?" I turn and see Nate "yeah?" "do you live around here?" "um about 45 from here in Oceanside why?" "i just wanted to see if you wanted to get drinks or something tonight" "I would love too! if you want to come to me city we could" "i could meet you in your city" he smirked i smiled "let me give you my number" he handed me his phone "8?" "8".
I was on my way to the bar he wanted to meet me at. "glad you really came!" he said "you didn't think I would came? "i thought you might have been joking" "no your to pretty to joke about" i smiled. We had drinks and talked "you smoke pot right?" I asked he nodded and laugh "you want to go smoke?" he laughed again "yes!". "you want to go the the beach?" I asked "yeah that sounds good !" while we walked he held my hand. We sat on the sand passing a joint back and fourth "how old is your son?" he asked " he's five, his names Abel" "Abel? that's a cool name" "thanks" I smiled "so he's into MMA" "yeah we both are. I've been trying to get him into classes but they're to much for me right now. I try and teach him some stuff but i'm his mom he doesn't listen to me" he laughed "your into fighting?" "yeah I trained alot when I was little and after I had him when I need money" "You've fought?" "i still do from time to time" "don't mean to over step but...his dad shouldn't be letting you do that" "his dad moved to Texas two months before he was born and we don't talk" "sorry to hear that" "we've been fine without him" "sorry to ruin the mood" I laughed "you didn't it's fine i'm having a great time".
"ever been to Stockton?" he asked "no wouldn't mind going though" "i'll have to show you around some time" I nodded "what?" he asked looking over to me "well I have a feeling you don't want a relationship out of this date" "why do you say that?" "you live seven hours from here and starting a UFC career and i have a five year old" "that's why they have cars,UFC has nothing to do with it and Abel doesn't bother me at all" "so you want another date?" "I would very much yeah!" he smiled "okay!" I smiled back.

sdcc 2023 highlights (for me)
marco checchetto thor sketch <3<3<3 i'm still not over it. He was lovely in general, and the care and time he put into that drawing i'm just jashdgjklahsjlkdghajkd
hearing JMS utterly drag the whole concept of AI writing. Very heartening.
honestly both the JMS panels i saw were gr9, he's just really fun and enlightening to listen to
meeting chuck tingle
actually the horror panel Dr. Tingle was on was a lot of fun. among other things, a point was made about the similarities of horror, humor, and erotica writing in that they're all considered low-brow and generally disrespected but they're also all very visceral and dealing with deep emotional stuff and, yeah.
finally getting to debut the brand-new AoA Loki trio, result of literally months of work largely by me, and also getting to take out the amazing scepter prop gifted to me recently by @lady-of-misrule
a handful of lovely thor cosplayers to our lokis. (why is it that big dudes joyfully cosplaying Fat Thor do more justice to the character than Hemsworth in the worst fat suit that anyone has ever created? forget I asked, we know why.)
some good photo shoots in general, gotta share some of those pics at some point
hearing from the folks at the TORn booth that there is a Rohirrim show in the works that will be NOT Amazon-made and will have PJ's involvement in some capacity, so... some hope there I guess?
running into several friends and acquaintances. which seems to happen way more often than it should given how huge an event it is?
and lowlights:
IF ONE MORE FUCKIN PERSON REFERS TO MY OBVIOUSLY CAREFULLY CRAFTED COMICS LOKI COSPLAYS AS "VARIANTS" I'M CRACKING SKULLS. This goes double to the people with the TVA display setup who tried to get us to come take pics at their booth and were so shocked and appalled when we turned on our heels and said absolutely fucking not. sorry not sorry that i told them to read some damn comics.
the cops kicked out the taco truck that always used to set up behind the convention center. they took away my cheap and tasty california burritos and left me with overpriced mediocre convention pizza. fuckin bastards. I swear, the security lady who told us why the taco truck wasn't there was right: it was probably because they were offering an affordable alternative.
just about sweating to death before the weather finally cooled down a bit, but even then it was muggy as hell and actually rained in San Diego in July like wut
