Quick accountability post. I had the day off from work. I decided to do all the house work instead of going to the gym. Then we went to a basketball game and I checked my stats in Samsung health. I was way behind on my goals. While we where stuck in traffic I decided I had to go to the gym and get my workout in. When I finally to the gym they are closing early for some electrical work. I had 30 mintues to hit my goals and I went hard and got both active mintues and step goals. All in about 20 mintues!! EXERCISE SELECTION [targeted muscle groups: back & biceps]: Bent Over Row Incline Bench Row (Pronated Grip) Pull Up Lat Pull Machine Modified Lat Pull Low Row Wide Grip Lying Face Pulls Shrugs Hammer Curls EZ Bar Curls My thoughts: All the exercises I have done in this session were to better my posture in my back and to strengthen my biceps as well. I’ve trained hard on Friday. After I finished my back exercises I went into super setting biceps with chest followed by shoulders and triceps and finished all muscle groups on my upper body. Some days I get these bursts of energies and I do a second session to completely exhaust myself otherwise I won’t sleep at night and I’ll eat protein like a crazy person when I get home. Saturday I was done for it so I went over to do core and stretching exercises. Most of the time I check myself to see how much energy I have to get in a decent intensity in my workout then I could finish 6 days of work in 3 days depending on my energy levels and recovery rate. When I have recovered from day one two and three’s workout I will take a break or start with day one again. I alter my training between 3 sections to keep my plan simple and avoid over training. That is one legs, two core/abs and three upper body. I try and do flexibility on my rest days or in-between my workout sets. SQUAT [targeted muscles] glutes, quads and hamstrings STARTING POSITION: Grip the bar close to your shoulders. Rest the bar on the back of your shoulders (not your back). Lift the bar of the rack. I cycle 10 min. to the gym about every session cycling uphill doesn’t really challenge my body it just get me ready to start. I gradually increase the intensity of my workout especially exercises that involves a lot of lower back and hip movements. In this session I started with box jumps as part of my warm up so that I can go heavier on the Deadlifts haven’t done those in ages. I also like doing Deadlifts with my Squats the same day ,because both exercises works on your back and legs and gives me more time to recover for the next squat or Deadlift when I pair those together if I want to do them again the same week. DEADLIFT [TARGETED MUSCLE GROUPS]: glutes, back, core, quads and hamstrings STARTING POSITION 🌟Feet shoulder width apart with toes pointing forward. 🌟Grip the bar just outside of your knees. 🌟Hold the bar with an alternating grip (for a stronger grip as shown) or overhand grip. 🌟Keep the bar close to your shins. 🌟Back flat shoulder blades retracted. 🌟Keep shoulders over the bar. 🌟Look forward. 🌟Core muscles braced throughout the lift.
