Bicep work out so good my face melted! Cable high curls have been my go to bicep exercise latley. What I enjoy most about them is that I can fully extend my bicep before I pull to complete the exercise. Giving the muscle more time to stretch out. Plus the constant tension of the cable makes me slowly release the tension. Cable work is clutch and you can use cables on pretty much every muscle group. Also I hope y'all aren't tried of seeing me in the gym. Because I have been highly motivated and I just want to pass on the good vibes I have been blessed to get from some of my amazing followers. Moved a lot of weight today. Trying bluid up a strong chest and stay consistent on how much weight I can lift. Numbers are cool in all but it bothers me if I can't keep lifting those same numbers on a regular basis. Shoulders, abs and tris. It was a throw down this morning at the gym. I woke up feeling like I could take one the world. So I took those vibes and wrecked shop. Huge milestone today. I was able to bench 225 today soley by myself. It really feels like it's taking forever for me to do this. I'm extremely happy it happened and I got it on video. It's not a PR if you don't get it on video it right? I hit 5 plates a side on seated leg press. I don't judge my leg strength but how I can leg press (squats are the way to go) but I have never pushed that amount of weight before. It felt amazing and I'm currently paying for it. Hamstrings and quads are already sore. It's all worth it though. Today's leg day went off the rails real quick. The work up went smooth so I decided to push some weight. Easily the most weight I have ever leg pressed. Always hit calves. Mondays are for messes! Put in some back work this morning. Got messy with the chalk. Vid 1 Rack pulls. Notice how bad the first rep was. My back arched up and I pulled the weight with my shoulders. GYM TIP!➡ Let's talk preacher curls. I do at least one set of these every bicep day. I have learned through some trail and error what works best for gains. First thing that I do is make sure my tricep is is on the pad. It helps keep my whole arm stable. As well as keeps the bicep fully extended. I do my best to keep my arm from moving as I pull through he ROM. Making sure I pull from the bicep only without moving my back or using momentum. Pulling til I feel the muscle relax is my stopping point. I did 4 sets at 12 reps from 25-45 lbs. Cardio doesn't always have to be boring! I'm getting more comfortable with CrossFit type HIIT training. I'm more confident in my box jumps. I actually enjoy then now lol. Added battle ropes into the mix. I had no idea how to do them. I'll learn. Then ball slams. Who knew picking up a ball and slamming it into the ground would be so hard. This was by far the funniest I have had doing cardio in a long time.
