bad dream
More updates!!! I have like...four more to upload after this lol
It had taken quite some time without the ink demon to run away, but the moment you and Henry found Buddy, you took advantage of the safe room and slept in the hammock available.
Henry hadn't even been able to insist that he sleep on the hammock; you were out like a light.
But your sleep wasn't as peaceful as you were hoping.
\_•^•_/
"Hey, I'm gonna need someone to cover for _-_-_-_ today!"
You turned your head at the sound of your manager. Though you were in the familiar restaurant that you'd been working at for little more than a year, nobody seemed to see you.
The manager had said a name you didn't even recognize. For a shift that you were assigned from the beginning.
"Wait, I'm right here!" You called, but the words fell on deaf ears.
Then you were away, feeling your body become light and airy on the wind-why? Where was this dream taking you?
Once you were airborne, something pulled sharply on you, dragging you to a home you had not seen since the last holidays.
"Mom! Dad!"
...but they didn't hear you.
Chatting instead about a person named Everly, who was studying to be a doctor.
That...stung. While your parents had never outwardly shunned your dreams and aspirations, when it was clear that you were uninterested in an Ivy League college you had felt their disappointment in everything you did with them since.
"Please," you cried. "Look! I'm here! Mom, it's...it's me!"
No matter what you tried, your parents didn't react once. Even your childhood room was stripped bare, just a bed, dresser, and closet.
Even the juice stain on your carpet was gone.
"Please...mom, please!" You cried, trying to grab her arm. "I'm here! I exist, mom please look at me!"
She looked in your direction, all right. Just not at you. With a growing sense of horror, you realized that your mom's loving smile was not for you-just someone behind you.
The realization hit you like a bowling ball off the Empire State Building. You'd crossed universes. Something that, as far as you knew, was impossible. Consequences were to be expected.
But you didn't want this. You didn't ask for this to happen. No, you wanted to go back home.
"See..."
"See how soon they abandon all thought of you? Their precious child?"
Who was that? You whipped your head around to look, but couldn't see anything. Even worse, your parents started to melt right before your eyes as ink darkened the walls of your home.
"I would never abandon you. My love would never leave you. Not like them. All you have to do is give me your soul."
You were tempted. The voice kept whispering sweet promises to you, sickening sweet and twisting right in your weakest points.
But...you wanted a chance. There was a lot for you to lose here, even if the people you once knew never remembered you.
"No...I'm not giving you my soul!" You screamed. "Get out of my head and leave me alone!"
The voice laughed as all your home succumbed to the ink, which rose until it threatened to drown you.
It laughed even harder as you screamed for it to stop.
\_•^•_/
"...are they okay?"
"Prophet, when will they wake?"
"Prophet, will they help us?"
"...thank you, my sheep. They will wake up on their own time."
That didn't sound like a voice from your dream. But...you couldn't remember if Buddy's safe house sheltered others.
Wait. The prophet.
"WHERE AM I?!?" You exclaimed, bolting upright, throwing the cover off.
"Easy..."
...this was new. You jumped when an inky hand touched your shoulder, but it didn't seem like it was going to tear you apart. So...you relaxed, just a little bit.
"Where am I?" You asked, biting your lip at how your voice wobbled. Was the dream affecting you so terribly?
"You're safe," the prophet said, taking a seat next to you. "Henry was starting to worry about you."
Sammy? He was helping you?
"I thought you weren't going to help us," You sighed, turning away.
"I wasn't. But you've been asleep for a...longer time than either of us expected."
You tried to stand up, but he stopped you with another hand on your shoulder. "I wouldn't try standing just yet. Henry just completed his loop."
...What?
"How did you find me?" You asked, drawing your knees close to your chest.
He shrugged. "Henry called out to me. Interestingly enough, he used the name that you heard when we first met. Sammy. Naturally, I had to see what he needed."
You laughed, for the moment all but forgetting your dream.
"So...why care? Why bother helping me, when you could have sacrificed me at any moment?" You questioned.
He rubbed the back of his neck and looked away. "I was planning to. You were so vulnerable, and I figured you would be the perfect sacrifice. But..then you started begging. You were restless, and I don't know exactly what was going on, but you seemed to be doing whatever you had to do to be remembered."
Oh. You had spoken aloud. That was...slightly embarrassing.
"The Lord calls to everyone in slightly different ways. Sometimes..it's through their dreams. Somehow you were able to concentrate on whatever was in your dream."
"Oh. Shouldn't you be encouraging me to join the ink? Accept the deal?"
Something knocked on the door before Sammy could answer.
"One moment. They must have realized you woke up, and they've been concerned."
You processed this as Sammy went to open the door, talking to a couple of 'sheep' about how you shouldn't be bothered too much-but then they mentioned a wanderer coming to the Lost Harbor. He waved goodbye before stepping out and closing the door, leaving you alone for the time being.
"Henry's....coming?" You asked the space next to you. It was the only person you could think of who could be labeled as a wanderer. But...what about Buddy or Twisted Alice?
"Hey kiddo, how're you feeling?" The man of the hour asked, taking the seat next to you that Sammy had vacated.
"Like I just took what was simultaneously the best and worst sleep of my life. How long have I been asleep?"
He shrugged. "Time passes funny here. When I couldn't wake you, I called for Sammy-the Prophet, I guess. He took you here so that we could ensure your safety. Afterwards I tried to hurry to get back to you, but ended up completing the loop. From what Sammy told me, you didn't have a pleasant dream. Do you want to talk about it?"
A silver of your mind wanted to say no, you were fine. But...you selfishly admitted to yourself just a small portion of comfort was all you needed. So you nodded. "It was so...mundane. I was at my workplace, but none of the workers remembered me. Like I had never worked there. It was...disturbing, but it was fine. I'm not that close to my coworkers. It was...worse when I found myself at my parent's house."
He was silent but squeezed your shoulder in a comforting gesture. After a shaky breath, you continued.
"They wouldn't look at me, even if I tried calling them. My room was...so bare. Like I had never existed at all. Then something told me to embrace the ink and forget them..but they were my parents. Even if they don't remember me if I find a way back home...how could I live with myself if I forgot about them and stayed here?" It was a difficult question, and you didn't want an answer. Henry seemed to realize this and just allowed you to curl into him, promising to remember you.
When Sammy came back to check on the two of you, he found that the wanderer was playing with your hair as you sat next to him in silence.
Whether or not the prophet liked having these foreigners in the largest portioned n of his flock, it was one of the safer places to be. So, he let you rest. You had someone left to fight for on the outside, like the wanderer.
Stepping out of the room to speak with his flock, the prophet decided that you could do so much more for the lost ones than a mere sacrifice.
You were his Seer, and you could guide the flock away from this vicious cycle once and for all, he decided.
With such a precious gift sent to him-to share among his flock, of course-the prophet knew that he could not risk the destruction of this newfound hope.
So, as you and Henry found comfort with each other's company, the prophet made a vow to keep you pure, untainted, and away from the ink's sinful temptations.

lmao, It's lower funny seeing the transition nandnbd
I personally think everyone is thinking about it too hard, let it just come naturally ksndnsnx
(says me, who has a designated nickname I used previously and therefore doesn't have the same process)
WELCOME to Gaytales with Ahhie (it's the best name ever ik)😻
Yesterday, Moon was having an existential crisis, and after giving it a thought, they decided their name was too feminine (they agender)
So he decided he'd be changing it to SAM😻
Possible nicknames:
-Sam
-Sammy
-Samantha
-Samuel Alfonso Villavicencio Piedad de los Atardeceres de Córdona y Fernández Aristizábal 3000
-Sammy el Heladero (personal favorite totally not bc it's from a kids' song bout a penguin)
-Another one exclusively for Cloud but I ain't sure if I can say it but it is there
-Sammy el Quema-orfanatos (absolutely no one is calling she that)
And it is so COMPLICATED DAMN😭
We've been friends for two years in a half now. My brain is getting the pronouns right BUT NOT THE DAMN NAME, I KEEP CALLING HIM BY HER DEADNAME😭😭😭
@iys-cloud is going to continue the Gaytales cuz me don't know what else to say about this
#i might've been a bit confusing right there with the mixing of pronouns#sammy uses any pronouns#and he asked us to mix their pronouns cuz they feel more comfortable that way#i'm pretty sure she didn't mean mixing them in the same sentence but i've been friends and/or dated a lot of bigender people and IDK#i've always mixed them like this i'm sorry#in spanish it's easier-#« lmaooo I mostly think about her in she/they pronouns ( it still feels weird with him but whatever) so yeah#In mi mind they just jump lol#Also it's just really not that noticable in my internal dialogue??? I just use names/ nicknames#Pronouns mostly go fuck themselves ksndndn

ok im not used to requesting yet so sorry if im doing this wrong but im sad so i need me some early seasons sam fluff, like reader jokingly calling him sammy and he starts acting all weird or something
Sammy Boy
Sam Winchester x reader
Warnings: Fluff
Summary: Request
The hunt was tough given that it was a ghost that haunted a family's home for over three hundred years and there was little know about said ghost. Dean drove the group to a bar a few miles from the hotel. You and Sam walked to a booth in the back of the bar and slid in beside each other. Dean was chatting with a tall blonde and Sam turned to you with a smile.
"How is your shoulder?" He asked, you had been thrown across the room and hit the wall really hard.
"It's alright, just a bit sore." You smiled. "No need to be so worrisome, Sammy!"
Upon saying it, Sam had a deep blush go across his face and he let out a forced cough. He quickly stand up and excuse himself to the bathroom. You sat there, beer bottle in hand and stared at his retreating figure before he disappeared with the crowd.
----
You sat on the bed in the hotel, cleaning a gun when Sam walked into the room with his computer. You smiled and turned to face him completely.
"Hiya Sam," You smile but he just stops in his sport before excusing himself to go outside. You turn to Dean, who was cleaning the other guns, with a confused look.
"He has been acting very strange," You said.
"Sam is always strange, man."
You shook your head and looked down at the guns again before going back to cleaning them. Sam was finding any reason to get away from you and you were getting tired of it. Why was he avoiding you and what had you done to be avoided?
---
"Sam, you go with her and I'll go with Cas," Dean said, splitting everyone up to cover more grounds to find the remains of a woman who was taunting the residents in a home.
As Sam and you had walked around the graveyard, you walked in silence. It was quiet and it was every bit of awkward as Sam had not been able to handle being in the same room as you for more than five minutes before he awkwardly stands up and trips over his long legs or when he stutters over his words.
"Hey, Sam?" You ask, and he turns to you but accidentally blinding you with the flash light in his hands.
"I am so sorry, I didn't mean to blind you," He quickly apologized over the mistake and then looked down at his shoes. "What's up?"
"You have been acting weird recently," You start before he interrupts you quickly.
"I have not been acting weird. I just have a lot on my mind," He says with a small smile.
"Yesterday you nearly dropped your computer when you saw me," You giggle.
"You bumped into me," He defended himself.
"Or what about the time that you were trying to explain the micro-organisms that were on lettuce when I asked if you wanted a slice of pie with Dean and I?"
"Okay that was because I wanted a salad," He laughed, bumping into you slightly.
You turned to him and smiled, this tall, strong man was failing at hiding what the true reason behind his actions.
"But then I realized why you were acting this way and I came to conclusion that it was because I called you Sammy."
Just as you said it, he cleared his throat and stumbled from a root.
"I realized that only Dean had called you that and your behavior started when I jokingly called you Sammy which you stumbling and clearing your throat is just proving my theory."
His face was a deep shade of pink and his smile was giving him away. He was just confused how you figured it out. After all, he thought he was hiding it pretty well.
"You are correct. It's just strange hearing it come from someone else other than Dean and I kinda just freaked out. I am just not used to hearing it from a pretty girl either so it was just a surprise," He smiled and then laughed awkwardly.
"You think I'm pretty?" You smile brightly.
"I...I mean yeah. You are like really pretty and I just didn't expect you to call me by my nickname. I have known you since we were like 10 and you had never called me Sammy before so it just threw me for a loop," He says, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Well, for what it counts, I think you are pretty too, Sammy." You smile and his hand reaches out to grab yours.
"Can we get coffee after this hunt?" He asks.
"Are you going to explain how the coffee bean has special organisms on it?"
"No, I won't."
"Because I wouldn't mind if you did," You smile.
Maybe you should start to call him Sammy a lot more often.

marry me — sam winchester.
pairing: sam winchester x gn!reader
summary: you woke up and decided that you should marry sam as soon as you could.
cw: just fluff, very cliché, no use of s/n, established relationship, brief mention of canon-typical violence, thoughts about marriage, hugs, kisses, use of nicknames by sam and reader (honey, darling, baby, my love), small appearance by dean, poorly edited.
a/n: okay, this was VERY short, i'm still learning how to write this kind of stuff, i'm not very creative, but i needed to write this to take a weight off my shoulders, i loved so much this shit with sammy ;(( sorry if there are any grammar mistakes, english isn't my first language!! enjoy ;)
(ps: im reposting this because i moved blogs!!)
— send me an request!! <3
It was a day like any other after a long hunt. You woke up, Sam was sleeping peacefully next to you in the shared room. You looked at the time on the clock; it was 7am.
Sam was half hugging you, one of his big arms under your back, another hand on your waist, one of his legs folded between yours, the sunlight coming through the gaps in the curtain, illuminating his face in such an incredible way, and you could see a small smile on his face, he really was at peace. You loved it when he slept so well like that, no nightmares, no worries transmitted on his face, just the peace of a good night's sleep.
You thought a lot about it, about how much you wanted to wake up every day with Sam by your side, like, have a life with him, maybe even retire from hunting, get married, a house further away from the city, or even live in the bunker, it didn't matter, you just wanted to be with him until the end of your lives, be his forever, and have him for yourself too.
Sam started to wake up, a big smile on his face when he saw you there beside him. "Good morning, honey." he said in that sleepy voice. "Marry me." You said simply, admiring your boyfriend's beauty, having barely woken up.
"What did you say, darling?" He turned to the side, propping himself up on his elbow to look into your eyes. "I said marry me, my love." You smiled what was probably the biggest smile of your entire life, then leaned in and kissed Sam on the nose.
"Wait," he sat down on the bed, and you followed his action, sitting in front of him. "What's wrong?" You saw how the expression on his face changed, something like surprise, with a hint of confusion. "Are you serious, baby?" He said, taking your hands and looking deep into your soul, he really wanted to know that.
"I've never said anything so serious in my life, Samuel," you replied, clasping your hands around his.
"Oh, of course I want to marry you, in fact, just wait here." He let go of her hands and turned to get out of bed, and went towards the dresser in the room, opened one of the drawers, and from the bottom, took out a red velvet box. "I've been planning this for a while, I wanted to wait until we had a day off and I could take you out to dinner and do it in a more romantic way."
He knelt in front of the bed, opened the little box, and reached out to take yours, you sat on the edge of the bed, almost crying and held his hand. "Do you want to marry me too?" He smiled big, and you simply started to cry. "Oh my god, yes yes, please, yes."
"I should be the one asking you please, you are the most important person in my life, and I would do anything to protect you from all this shit we keep fighting, just to have you for myself forever, my love." He took off the ring and put it on your finger, kissing your hand. He stood up and hugged you, wiping your tears.
"Oh, I love you so much." You said, and began to shower his face with kisses.
"What's that noise here? Who's crying?" Dean appeared at the door, wearing his robe with a cup of coffee in one hand.
"I did it, Dean." Sam said looking at his brother, he held his wrist and pointed his hand so Dean could see the ring.
"Uh, finally, Sammy, I'm so happy for you." He said with a smile that quickly faded. "But can you stop making so much noise? It's only 7am, thanks." Then he turned and closed the door.
"Typical Dean," you said, laughing.

can we get any this from Sammy and Will at world I just need my broken heart to be fix for one moment
night out in prague
hughes!sister x will smith au (samy + will)
a night off in the city leads to the usa men's team heading into the city for a much needed night out.
1.4k words
as promised, here is some of samy and will at worlds before they broke up because i said i would still write about their happy moments in between the sadness to get a small break from the angst :)
au masterlist
will's gaze stuck itself to samy as she walked towards him with a drunk smile spread across her lips. she wandered off towards the bar an hour ago taking shots with some of the girlfriends of the guys with will keeping a watchful eye on her a few tables away. he enjoyed seeing her get along so well with the others despite their age difference to some of the other players on the team.
the blonde forgot his conversation he was having as samy reached his side. he quickly smiled down at her, "hi."
"hi. miss anything exciting?" the girl wondered, tucking her head into will's shoulder since he was her height sitting in the booth.
"not really. enjoy your shots?" will chuckled lightly when samy eagerly nodded.
"so good. you should've done a round with us," the brunette always got more touchy whenever she got drunk. her fingers reached to will's curls to play with them and the action had the boy flushing.
he loved the feeling of samy's fingers in his hair, but being around everyone else while she did it was still something the boy was getting used to.
the other guys at the table hardly even noticed, but it still sent a blush across will's cheeks nonetheless.
"i'm hungry," samy mumbled as she leaned more into her boyfriend. his arm wrapped around her waist basically keeping her up against him.
"wanna leave soon?" will wondered.
"no, i'm okay. don't wanna pull you away," she hummed towards the guys still in their own conversation will stopped listening to.
"i don't mind. i was thinking about leaving soon anyway," the blonde said.
"are you sure?" samy never wanted to pull her boyfriend away if he wasn't ready to leave. she didn't mind hanging around longer as long as she probably started drinking water instead of more alcohol.
"yeah, i'm sure. don't worry," the hockey player beamed up at her. his smile was hard to ignore knowing he was being serious, so samy returned it.
"okay, as long as you're sure. i'll say bye to luke," the younger girl caught sight of her brother a few tables down.
the middle hughes saw his sister walking towards him, smiling a bit, "what's up little hughesy?" poor samy would never escape that nickname, especially whenever she was around her brothers since they were always "hughesy" before her.
"will and i are gonna leave. just wanted to let you know," the girl told the older boy.
"leaving already?" cole wondered from beside luke.
"yeah, i think those rounds of shots did me in," samy chuckled lightly.
"i can tell. your cheeks always get red whenever you have a lot of alcohol," luke quickly squeezed samy's cheeks which instantly made her pull back.
"shut up. you're the same," the girl poked her brother's flushed cheeks. he just rolled his eyes while the others laughed.
"have fun back at the hotel. don't be too loud," trevor teased earning an eye roll from samy and a gagging motion from luke.
"god, do not say that shit around me about my sister. gross. text me when you get back," luke shook his head in disgust.
"you're such a baby. see you," samy pinched her brother's arm before finding her way back to will who finished paying their tab.
"ready?" the blonde hooked his arm around samy's waist again. the girl nodded, so the two hurried out before anyone could stop them and drag them back in.
the city slowed down once night hit besides the few cabs driving through the streets and people wandering back home from the bars much like samy and will were doing. prague was so beautiful at night, too. the girl's gaze was glued to the buildings with incredible architecture that reached into the sky.
"i could stay here forever," samy mumbled.
"you and me both," will hummed, his hand going to intertwine with samy's
"do you ever wish you could stay in the countries you travel to forever?" the youngest hughes' gaze fell on her boyfriend. from the side he was stunning. his curls started growing back out after his last haircut and his entire face in general was just to die for.
"yeah, sometimes. i wish we'd get more time to explore," will's own gaze flicked across the impressive buildings and night sky.
"i don't know if i've said this, but i really like traveling with you. it's really fun and it's been super awesome cheering you and my brother on," samy felt will's hold tighten on her hand. he met her gaze with a smile, stopping them on the sidewalk for a moment.
"i'm really glad you're here. it means a lot that you came out and i hope we can continue doing this," the two exchanged warm smiles before their lips were on each other's seconds later.
will's told tightened on samy's hips as their kiss deepened. the streets of prague were practically empty, so the couple used that by their advantage to kiss under the starts as cheesy as it all sounded. samy's fingers tugged at the curls on the back of will's head making him kiss her even harder. they practically lost themselves in one another.
"you're so beautiful," will mumbled when they finally pulled apart for air.
"i love you," samy hummed earning a large smile from her boyfriend.
"i love you more," the blonde placed one more kiss to her lips before making them continue walking to the hotel.
the rest of their walk was spent in comfortable silence. the two gently swung their connected hands back and forth until reaching the hotel. the front desk nodded to them as will dug out his key card to take them to their floor.
once will kicked their door open, samy stumbled in. she tore her heels off, falling back onto the bed with a happy smile painting her lips. the blonde chuckled seeing her sprawled out across the bed, quickly plopping down beside her as the two began staring at the ceiling.
"be honest with me. are you signing when we get back?" samy wondered because she saw the news headlines and all the circulation about will, gabe, and ryan possibly signing. the couple hadn't talked much about it since they lost the ncaa finals as will kept it pretty sparse around her and everyone else.
because of samy's slightly intoxicated state, she didn't pick up on the hesitation in her boyfriend's face nor the way the smile faded from his lips. she just assumed he didn't hear her or something.
"i'm not sure," his answer finally came.
"i feel like there's so much speculation going around. i mean, i'd be happy for you either way," the girl shrugged, a light smile tugging on her lips still.
she missed will's hesitation again because he just rolled over so he was on his side and samy met his gaze. "i know you'd be happy for me either way. i think you're my number 1 supporter," the boy chuckled.
"well, after your family, i hope i'd be. have i ever missed any of your games when you were close to or in michigan?" the brunette raised her eyebrow.
will's smile faltered a bit, but again, samy didn't notice. her hand reached up to caress the boy's cheek as he leaned into her soft touch before kissing the inside of her palm. his gesture had samy giggling before pulling him into a real kiss against her lips. she fell back against the bed again as the hockey player sort of hovered above her so he wasn't completely crushing her with all of his body weight.
the two continued making out until will pulled away knowing it was late and samy was intoxicated so they couldn't take it further. she pouted though when his lips left hers, "why'd you stop?"
"it's late, we should go to bed. i got practice in the morning," the blonde chuckled.
"when has that ever stopped you?" the girl teased some making will blush.
"maybe when you're not drunk, yeah?" he grinned, placing a gentle kiss on her cheek instead.
"fine," the boy rolled off of her back onto his feet where he reached his hands out to help her back up.
the couple exchanged warm smiles before samy started towards the bathroom to wipe her makeup off and get ready for bed. fifteen minutes later, they were ready for bed in their pajamas or in will's case, pajama pants and no shirt. samy flicked the lights off before crawling into his side, snuggling into her boyfriend's extended arm.
"i love you, sleep well," samy hummed into the boy's chest. he smiled even though she couldn't see it.
"i love you, too," he placed one last kiss to the top of her head and then quickly knocked out for the night, soft snores filling the hotel room.

La Cosa Nostra- pt 17
cowritten with @schemmentis
summary: Your family changes. Forever.
WC: ~1.55k
“Melissa. Y/N.” Barbara greets coldly as you both fall into step at her side. Mass has just ended. She's leaving faster than she usually would today. Barbara normally one to linger and mingle with the other church ladies. Even if they didn't treat her as well as she treated them. They weren't great at hiding their disdain for the Senator’s wife, even in the Lord's house.
Still, you've just managed to catch her. You and Melissa both hurrying to match her pace back toward the parking lot.
“Babs.” Melissa pleads with the endearing nickname for her oldest friend.
I'm an instant Barbara has spun on her heel. “Do not start, Melissa. The two of you have been far too lucky already. I implore you not to press it. Lest today be the one the Lord picks to make you pay for it “
“May I please have the book back?” Melissa asks, happily teasing with the dramatic bat of her eyelashes even with the seriousness of Barbara's disposition.
“Must you bring this business even further involved with the Church? The fact that you two would even stoop to such a thing has me flabbergasted let alone-”
“Barbara.” You interrupt softly. “Not here. Please?” You plead.
Barbara glares at you for a long moment, adjusting the strap of her purse on her shoulder. “Follow me back to the house.” She finally huffs before turning back to marching for her car.
You and Melissa practically run back to your own car to follow Barbara home. By the time the two of you are stepping through the front door that shed left open behind her, Barbara is opening her hiding place for the ledger.
Melissa reaches for it but Barbara quickly tugs it to her own chest. “I still have half a mind to tell Gerald.” She says, looking between you both.
Your wife sighs, stepping away from Barbara and sitting on her couch. “We're giving ourselves up, Babs. If it'll spare us jail time so we can stay with the girls.”
The woman, clearly disgruntled with the situation, looks at the two of you.
“Do you really think it’ll get the two of you out of jail?”
“It will at least get our sentences reduced greatly,” you say softly. “And if we are both put in jail, we would hope that you and Gerald would keep the girls.”
Barbara softens at that. “Of course we would.”
“So please,” Melissa pleads. “Give us the ledger.”
At that, the woman hands your wife the book. “Please… just make this right.”
And you do. You head straight down to the station, calling Sammy as you go. He seems to agree that this may be the best course of action for you, and he ensures that he won’t tell a soul. Once Sammy makes the two agents promise they won’t give you jail time in exchange for the information, you show Danik and Shaw the ledger, you tell them who is in charge- as much as you know, and you tell them the information that you know in regards to Bobby’s murder.
“So neither of you had to do with the hit on Esposito?” Shaw leans back in the chair.
“No,” you state firmly. “And we tried telling you that from the beginning.”
“But you are part of the mob and the mafia.”
You nod.
“We thank you for this information,” Danik sighs. “But we will need to move the four of you.”
“Melissa and I have that handled,” you tell them as you take her hand in your own. “We plan on fleeing… somewhere. We’ll figure out the finer details in the next day or so, and be on our way.”
Melissa takes a shaky breath. Leaving means leaving behind this whole life of hers- the church, the restaurant, her family… but she knows it has to be done. “Right.”
The two agents let you walk free, and as you’re leaving, you thank Sammy for his legal advice and help.
That night sees the four of you spending what you don't realize is your last night in Melissa's beloved Twelve Tables. Your wife is showing Valentina a little bit more of the tasks she oversees, entrusting her with more. Though not all of it. You both think you have a little bit of time.
When the shipment comes in, Melissa takes it, just like normal. Exactly as Danik and Shaw instructed you to do until you arranged everything and left town. To avoid any suspicion at all. She leaves it in the desk drawer. Precisely where she told the Agents she would leave anything brought in if it was.
You both take your girls home and read them their bedtime stories. You tuck in Cat while Melissa tucks in Rosie, and then you switch to make sure you've both kissed each of them goodnight.
Then you spend too much of the night planning. Melissa carefully working through the contacts she has that she trusts wouldn't give you away but would help in your escape. Make sure you won't be found. By the time the two of you are crawling into bed, curling up together for a few hours of rest it's nearing two in the morning.
Across town, a cell phone rings. A groggy voice, woken by the shrill ringtone answers. “Hello?”
“Luca? It's Tommy. I'm on shift tonight and I found out somethin’ big. Big enough I called Paulie. He told me to call you.”
Luca sits up in bed, all traces of sleep leaving him at the mention of Paulie. Paul Caponetto. The boss of the family. This is big.
“What's goin’ on Tommy? Big enough for Paulie to be bothered with it, huh?”
“There's a rat, Luca. And Paulie's contracting you to take ‘em out before they say anythin’.”
“A rat?” Melissa’s nephew asks groggily.
“Yeah. You gotta take ‘em out tonight.”
“Who is it?” the man groans as he sits up in bed.
“Your aunt, er… aunts,” Tommy says lowly.
Luca’s heart drops- he feels his world stop for a second. His Aunt Mel and Aunt Y/N flipped? “Tommy, you know I can’t do-“
“You’ll do whatever the hell we tell you to do,” the man hisses. “Get it done. The little ones too- can’t have them following in their mothers’ footsteps and ratting us out.” And then he hangs up.
Luca runs a hand over his face. He really doesn’t want to do this. But he knows that if he doesn’t, his life is on the line. They won’t hesitate to take him out. So, he finds what he needs to execute this, and then he waits for the perfect time.
He knows what time you wake the girls and start getting ready for the day, so he waits until just before then. If he’s going to do this, he’s going to make it look like he just happened to be dropping by for a visit to his favorite family members.
When he enters the house through the back door, he smashes the window- knowing you won’t be able to hear it upstairs. Luca pulls down the mask and tiptoes his way up the steps. He knows exactly what floorboards creak and expertly avoids them, traveling through the house silently.
He opens the girls’ door, but they aren’t in there. No, they ended up climbing into bed with you and Melissa around 4 in the morning. So he opens your bedroom door without a noise.
You’re curled up around Rosie while Cat sleeps peacefully next to Melissa. Your soft snores echo through the room as the sunlight peaks through the curtains.
He raises his weapon of choice and aims, and right before he fires the first round, he whispers, “I’m so sorry.”
He pulls the trigger.
He swiftly pulls the trigger again, and a third time. Before the fourth there's a strangled attempt of a scream, though he can't tell from which family member it comes from. It could be his Aunt Mel. He knows she's the fighter of all of you. For a brief second he can't get his finger to move again. The muscle locking at the thought of what he's doing, and to whom. Except there is no other choice. Not in his mind. As much as he doesn't want to be stood in your bedroom, firing a gun into your family, he is. He pulls the trigger again.
In a matter of less than two minutes, it’s over with. Luca lowers his gun, breathing heavily. He tugs the old ski mask from his head, shoving it into his pocket.
“Shit.” He mutters out between his heaving breaths. The adrenaline has him sweating, his heart feeling like it's going to beat from his chest with its speed. He feels sick at the pooling of blood he can already see.
Luca quickly rushes down the stairs to the front of your townhome. A shaking hand reaches and unlocks your front door, stepping out onto your porch. He leaves the door open behind him, his free hand now reaching into his pocket for his phone to call 911.
He makes the call, and then he sits on the curb and lets the tears pour over. He just killed his aunt, her wife, and the two little girls that lit up his life.

I do have a lot of thoughts abt their first and last lines of dialogue actually. Cas going from “I gripped you tight and raised you from perdition” -> “Goodbye Dean”. A hello and a goodbye. An explanation and a statement, both directed to the same person. The contrast between the flowery and stifled language to a more simple, personalized goodbye is really emblematic of his journey throughout the show.
“Night Sam” -> “Hey Sammy” is a fun one because it’s sort of the reverse of Cas’? It’s a goodbye then a hello, both directed at Sam. The first one uses “Sam” and the second “Sammy”, even though the first set is when they were really little kids. Yet, the nickname thrives even more in their adult lives than it did in childhood.
“Do I have to?” -> “Dean” is MY personal favorite bc of how it so clearly demonstrates what went on with his character during this time. Bc with the first one we’re sort of immediately introduced to this personality who is ready for a fight. Like he’s not about to do something he doesn’t want to do without questioning it, and that is very true to the Sam we get to know during this time. But then we end with this like…not defeated, but accepting one-word “Dean” of acknowledgement. Like he’s done questioning he’s done fighting back against his role and place in the world and the littlebrotherisms and familyisms that represents. The tone shift here is sooooo stark.
I also find it very interesting that 2 of these last words are directed at Dean and 1 is at Sam. Also both Dean and Cas start and end speaking to the same person while Sam’s first words are to Jess and his last is to Dean

Dean:
Sam was in the room and you know you gotta mess with the moose man
you walk up to dean all innocent and you hand him a beer you got from the fridge.
“here you go, honey bunches.” insert voice you use when talking to a puppy
dean stared for a second before going
“thanks?”
“of course, Schmoopie.”
HELP
Sam rn:
You just walk away like it’s normal and go back to doing whatever you’re doing and sam is literally DISGUSTED
after a couple of seconds he just goes
“schmoopie?” bro is about to cry hes so dead cus wtf is that nickname
“yeah?” you respond, shrugging.
“never say that again.” Sam deadpans and Dean gets up to walk to you.
“what the hell was that nickname.” he asks, a HINT of a blush on his face.
you smiled. “i think it’s cute!”
he literally looks scared.
“stop it. never again.” SHIVER ME TIMBERS

Carpenter Sisters Headcanons
Sam Carpenter & Tara Carpenter
Notes: Just some headcanons of my favorite sisters (aka my beloveds). Wanted to give you something since I've been pretty inactive this month partly due to the Christmas special I'm planning (which is coming soon) I also just love Sam & Tara sm, they will forever live on no matter what
Sam Carpenter
We should all already know this but, Sam is all the above when it comes to Tara. Big sister? Check. Dad? Check. Mom? Check, check, check
Makes Tara carry around a bunch of self-defense weapons like a taser, pepper spray etc
Texts like an old man. She doesn't know a whole bunch of "text lingo" so Tara uses that to her advantage. She'd text you "Kys" thinking it meant "keep yourself safe" because that's what Tara told her. She definitely uses these emojis: 😂 🙂
Is completely lost when it comes to "slang terms" and abbreviations. Tara: "You ate that Sam." Sam: "Ate what? I'm not even eating." Tara's laughed/made fun of her for it while Sam remains confused
Hates being called Samantha. It reminds her of how her mother would scold and ridicule her. When Tara started calling her Sammy, she couldn't be any happier with the given nickname
Never got Tara's love for Horror growing up, but tried to understand for her. In her opinion, it's illogical how most of the characters act, but Tara likes it so she doesn't mind giving it another try
Definitely introverted. She's more outgoing with people she's comfortable with; Tara, Mindy, Chad. Growing up, she never socialized a lot
Will always set everybody else's plate before her own
The Core Four have game nights and it can get... intense. Let's just say on multiple occasions (whether that was Tara buying her out during monopoly or Chad and Mindy giving her yet another +4 in Uno) she has been extremely close to flipping the table
Could laugh to the point where she's gasping for air, I can imagine her and the Core Four just wheezing over the dumbest things
Definitely had "the world doesn't understand me so I cope by blasting music very loudly in my room, not gaf who I piss off" phase. One of the songs she would blast was Creep by Radiohead (canon event. I can't interfere.)
Tara Carpenter
Could sleep anywhere, and always sleeping any chance she gets. I'd say she's a night person, and hates being woken up so early in the morning. And I can imagine she's a sleep talker too
Growing up she had a favorite stuffed animal she carried around everywhere with her and refused to sleep without it
She was a thumbsucker growing up, which she was teased for
Never learned how to ride a bike
She's always hated needles. Whenever she was forced to get a shot when she was younger, she refused to take it without Sam being in the room with her. Sam would let Tara squeeze her hand as tightly as she needed to
Cannot drive for shit. I just know this woman is a bad driver, Sam and the others just hold on to dear life and cross their fingers when Tara gets into the driver's seat
Her car is a complete mess, like you'll just find the randomist stuff in there. There's probably no limit to what you could find if you just try hard enough
She wakes up in the weirdest positions and thinks, "How tf did this even happen-"
Bullies kids on roblox (I don't make the rules)
If someone messes with Sam, they better count their days
She can get soo competitive. If she's winning, you'll know. Can get cocky when celebrating, chanting and everything
Her, Chad, and Mindy would put together one of those "performances" when they were little in order to convince Sam to let them stay up late or have a sleep over. Sam said yes every time
Tara's a shark defender. She believes they're extremely misunderstood creatures
-----------
A/N: I need a Sam & Tara for Christmas

"You gotta tell her," Dean said simply the moment Sam walked into the main room of the bunker. The younger brother let out a sigh, looking over at Dean who sat on the couch with a beer in hand, staring at whatever was playing on the TV. Sam just wanted to grab a snack, not a lecture.
"Don't know what you're talking about," Sam then spoke, grabbing a half-eaten bag of Dorito chips from the counter, ready to head back to his own room again.
Dean snorted, taking a sip of his beer, "Sam, don't give me that crap. It's obvious as Hell how you feel about her."
Sam felt his grip tighten around the chip bag, making it crinkle obnoxiously, but Sam didn't care, "Well, how am I supposed to tell her?"
Dean shrugged, "Just tell her how you're madly in love with her. Simple."
"It's not simple, Dean." Sam said, eyes narrowed towards his brother, "She'll think I'm weird or something."
"I mean, yeah, you might sound like an awkward nerd," Dean replied, grinning slightly before getting up off the couch and heading toward the fridge. "Which you are," Sam glared as Dean shut the fridge door, holding a plate with leftover apple pie. Dean gave Sam a look before patting his shoulder, "You'll be fine. If it makes you feel better, she likes you too."
"Yeah? How do you know?"
Dean popped a few bites of pie into his mouth as he made himself comfortable on the couch once again, "It’s obvious. You'll have the perfect opportunity to tell her durin' this week’s hunt."
Sam felt his throat close up, his eyes widening slightly, "She's - She's coming with us?"
Dean paused chewing, staring at Sam intently before swallowing, "Yeah, Cas is busy." Before resuming, “I thought I told you last night.” He said with a mouth-full of pie; it made Sam cringe a bit.
“I was half asleep, Dean,” Sam then swallowed thickly before speaking up again, "Your angel's too busy to help you?"
Dean shrugged, "Yeah, but he said he'd come back later. Must be somethin' up in Heaven."
Sam pursed his lips as he nodded, bringing his fist to his mouth and clearing his throat, "When will she be here?" Sam asked as Dean shrugged.
"Ya'know Angels, Sammy. Always poppin' up unexpectedly."
Sam just let out a small sigh in response before quickly making his way back to his room.
~~~
Sam sat at a table, looking through book after book about mythical and mystical creatures. He didn't really need to, both he and Dean knew what they were going to be killing in this case, but Sam needed to get his mind off of you - which proved to be a very difficult task. Sam had been lost in thought, trying to keep reading, keep his eyes on the words on the page, but his mind quickly wandered to you.
You were an Angel, like Castiel, but you had only recently joined Cas whenever he came to the bunker for hunts. It had been a couple of months since you joined, and Sam was quick to notice that you acted a lot like Cas had when he first came down to Earth.
You were very kind to start off with, but you were always confused about something. Asking about practically anything under the sun, Sam was more than happy to help you answer your many, many questions. He had noticed after a couple of weeks, that you would always come to him for help on anything. He understood, when Cas wasn’t available, and Dean was too… Intimidating, Sam was an excellent person to go to when with questions. He had spent a good amount of time with you, and that was when Sam felt him falling for you.
When you had first joined over a year ago, Sam had found out that you were the Angel, with a different name, but you went by Y/N. Why? Sam never asked; he didn’t want to upset you or anything. Either way, he liked your name. It suited you.
Feeling a hand on his shoulder, Sam froze before he heard a voice, "What are you reading?" You asked, peering over his shoulder at the current books he had open on the table.
Sam cleared his throat, heart racing from the slight jumpscare, "Vampires... We're going after one tomorrow night.” He answered, his body growing warm beneath your touch, "Three women have gone missing in Louisiana in the past month." He continued, feeling your hand slip away as you took a seat beside him.
You gave his side profile a sweet smile, your hands clasped together in your lap, "Well, that seems easy enough. Castiel had spoken that you and Dean have encountered those before." You remarked, leaning forward in your chair.
Sam looked up, meeting your gaze, "Yeah, we have." His chest felt a bit warm as you looked right back at him with a small, that perfect smile on your face. "How have you been, Y/N? It's been a while since I've seen you." Sam then asked, and you just gave him a shrug, fidgeting in your seat; it was hard for you to keep still.
"I think I am feeling fine." You let out a small laugh, Sam found it hard not to match your smile.
Sam shuffled his booted feet on the floor, his smile falling slightly into a nervous frown. He felt his palms begin to sweat as he glanced away from you to the books on the table, "So, uh, Y/N, I've been meaning to ask you something for a while now… But, I never had the time to before you’d leave with Cas, but…" Sam began, his throat becoming dry as he spoke, but once he met your gaze again, he was at a loss for words. He tried his best to ignore the heat that was rising up into his cheeks as your eyes locked onto his. He didn't even realize you had moved closer until your fingers brushed against his. Sam blinked rapidly before looking down at your skin which was smooth and silky, almost like marble; your fingers slowly intertwining with his. He knew you had taken his hand to help him with his obvious nerves, but he couldn't help but get more tongue-tied.
Unable to confess his feelings for you, Sam sputtered out the next best thing he could think of, "Not that I don't want you here, I love having you here, but why didn't Cas come?" Sam asked, completely ignoring what he was trying to say in the first place, making you tilt your head to the side; your eyebrows furrowing slightly. Sam felt his heart plummet as you slid your hand out of his, leaving Sam without your warmth.
"Castiel had said that he had some unfinished business to attend to, but he did not tell me what that was. He had just said to find you and Dean; that you both needed help." You answered, voice soft.
Sam nodded, turning his eyes back on the books in front of him; unable to keep looking at you in fear that he might explode. "I wonder what he had to do that was so important..."
"That's what I've asked myself too, Sammy," Dean entered the library, a small grin on his lips as he saw the two of you sitting pretty close to one another, "Hey there, sweetheart. Fun flight here?" He asked you, making you smile towards the brother, a little bit confused. Dean only waved a hand before pressing both hands onto the table, "Nevermind, so, let's get ready, hmm?"
- 2 -
"So, you're tellin’ me that there is only one Vampire, and he's throwin’ a party at his house, and that's where he finds his victims?" Dean asked Sam, crossing his arms as he leaned against the table in the library, and Sam nodded in return.
"Yeah, that's why all the victims were wearing fancy clothes, found in swamps, with all their blood drained," Sam explained, Dean nodding his head as he listened, a frown on his face.
Dean scratched at the back of his head, "How are we going to get into there, it's all invites only, right?" He asked his younger brother, who nodded, turning to the table where his computer sat.
"Yeah, all invites. It turns out this Vampire is very picky. I was able to find out who he had invited and all these people have been registered blood donors since the 90s," Sam continued as Dean's eyebrows furrowed, looking between Sam and the computer screen.
"What's that got to do with anythin’?" Dean asked, gesturing towards the computer, Sam shook his head before pointing to the screen, about to answer when you slipped in.
"They all have AB Negative blood." You interrupted, perched up on the table, your ankles crossed, legs gently swinging, "It's a very rare blood type."
Dean seemed impressed as he glanced around the library, thinking before he paused, looking down at Sam, "Haven't all the victims been women?"
Dean questioned, and Sam nodded, "Yeah, so far, yeah."
You watched the two men talk to each other, continuing to swing your legs back and forth. As they talked, quietly arguing about how to get into the party to kill the Vampire in the first place, your gaze slowly moved down to Sam. You hadn't meant to stare at the handsome hunter, but you just couldn't help yourself. When you first came down to Earth with Castiel, you would've said, 'All of Father's creations are beautiful,' but, after being on Earth for so long, learning things, and meeting Sam... Sam was so attractive, and it was kind of overwhelming. You never had these feelings before, and you didn't even know that you were capable of these types of feelings before.
You had gone to Castiel with your questions since you knew that he had spent a longer time on Earth than you, and you were more or less convinced that there was some sort of bond between him and Dean. Angel Bonds were special, and you knew Castiel had given him one when he saved him from Hell. You had also had an inkling that something else was going on between them, but you didn't want to assume; even though they'd share longing glances and Castiel would stay in Dean's room when he'd visit. You didn't know why. Angel's do not need to sleep, but you know that Dean had a better TV connection than Sam or the main room in the bunker.
When you had gone to Castel with your questions, he was more than willing to help you. Angel to Angel. You had told him that whenever you were near Sam, you would feel a strange sensation; a pull towards him. You had never experienced anything like that before. You also told him that you would feel your heart race, your breath catch in your throat, and your stomach would flutter every time he smiled at you or even talked to you. Castiel said that what you felt was normal, that you were experiencing the attraction towards Sam. Still a bit confused, so you read books... A lot of books. After every book you read, the more you learned about love, attraction, and relationships. It made sense now why you felt this way towards Sam. Your attraction to him was completely natural.
You always got so excited to see Sam when you could, so much so that you felt like you were going to burst with joy any moment. Every day that you spent with him, and every minute that you were with him, you noticed so many cute, small things about him. You noticed how compassionate and forgiving Sam was, how he really liked Celine Dion, which you had still yet to listen to, and you noticed that Sam really liked eating salad. You loved it when he read, his eyebrows would furrow when he concentrated, and sometimes his nose would scrunch up as he took in a deep breath and released it with a big exhale, causing his eyelids to droop. Sometimes, your gaze would raise to his hair, your mind wondering what it would feel like to run your hands through it; your fingers would twitch at the slight thought. You really, really liked Sam, but you didn't know if you had the courage to say anything to him.
"What do you mean Y/N would have to do it?" Sam's voice grew a bit hostile as he stared up at his brother, and your attention immediately went back toward the conversation that you were missing.
You watched, tilting your head slightly as Dean tried to reason with Sam, "Sammy, she'll be fine, she's an Angel. She can protect herself if something were to happen."
Sam raised an eyebrow at Dean, "I don't like it," He spat out, turning to look at the computer as his right leg bounced up and down anxiously, "She could still get hurt. You and I can do this ourselves."
You sighed as the two continued to argue; a small frown appearing on your lips. Reaching down, you grabbed Sam's hand, which helped slow his bouncing knee to a stop. You then noticed that Sam took a deep breath in before letting it out, and you didn't miss the look Dean gave the two of you.
"Sam," You began, gaining his attention, his hazel eyes looking up at you. You gave him a small smile, hoping that would calm him further before speaking, "I know you may be worried... But, Dean is right. I can take care of myself. And I can easily eliminate the Vampire. And you have seen from our research that he only goes after women, I doubt anything distressing will happen."
Sam didn't seem convinced by your words, but he nodded anyway. "Okay," Sam mumbled, looking at his hand in both of yours, resting on your lap, "But if anything happens-" He looked back up at you, only for you to shake your head, interrupting him.
"Nothing will happen," You gently squeezed his hand, almost not noticing Dean leave the room, "I will be alright,"
Sam let out a big sigh, closing his eyes and dipping his head, his hand tightened around your hands, his thumb brushing against one of your wrists, "I know that you can defend yourself, I just get worried." Sam spoke, and you nodded, giving him a smile as he looked back up at you.
"That is alright, Sam. Being worried is a normal human emotion to have. It's understandable."
Sam opened his mouth before closing it, nodding, "Y/N, I'm just worried 'cause I-"
"Alrigh', we should probably head out. We should be able to get to Louisiana by tomorrow night." Dean spoke up as he re-entered the library, unknowingly interrupting Sam and extinguishing his courage.
- 3 -
The drive to Louisiana was a long one, around fourteen or fifteen hours. You sat in the back, staring out the window as buildings, trees, and cars passed. The three of you stopped at a few places to eat, a couple of diners, and whatnot. Dean got his pie while Sam got a salad. Getting back into the Impala, you felt a bit restless, propping your feet up on the back seats as you just zoned out. By the time night came around, the three of you found a motel that was pretty cheap but was decent enough. Sam had tried to let you take the second bed, but you opted for the couch, to read until it was time to continue the drive. Sam needed to sleep more than you did. For obvious reasons. Soon you were all back in the Impala the next morning, finding a place for breakfast, and time just flew by after that.
You leaned your arm against the door, your face pressed against the cool glass as you just watched everything speed by. You were all listening to something on the radio, some song that Dean apparently liked since he was bobbing his head along and tapping the steering wheel with a couple of fingers to the beat. You heard Sam let out a big yawn, your eyes landing on him as he moved around in his seat.
"Hey, Y/N, you alright with me lowering my seat?" Sam asked as you shifted to the middle of the backseat bench.
"Yes, of course, Sam." You spoke as Dean glanced at his brother as he lowered his seat back.
Dean turned back to the road, a small grin on his face, "Feelin' a bit sleepy there, Sammy?" Dean lightly teased him, making Sam huff as he crossed his arms over his chest, rolling his eyes.
"Yeah," Sam muttered, "Didn't sleep well last night,"
"Really?" Dean asked, his tone becoming mischievous as his grin turned into a smirk, "From what it sounded like, it would've seemed you slept pretty good; mumbling a certain person’s name…"
"Shut up, Dean," Sam grumbled, his cheeks starting to turn pink as he turned away from his brother, facing the window and shutting his eyes. "Don't start that crap."
Dean chuckled, shaking his head. You couldn't really tell what was happening, you were just mostly confused by their whole conversation. So you shook it off. Looking over at Sam from the middle seat, you tilted your head to the side, seeing that his body was slowly becoming less and less tense. After what felt like maybe an hour, you brought your gaze back to Sam, his eyebrows furrowing, and a deep frown settling on his features. Your attention switched between Sam and Dean, and back.
Dean seemed to notice your worried look, glancing over at you, "Are you alright, kid?" He asked you, his voice softening.
"Sam's upset," You murmured, not wanting to wake him as you stared down at the younger brother, "He isn't hurt, is he?" You asked, making a smile slowly appear on Dean's face at your words; you reminded him so much of Cas when he first came to Earth. Even though you had been on Earth with Castiel for little over two years; going up to Heaven most of the time. There was still so much for you to learn.
"No, he's not hurt, kid," Dean spoke, glancing from the road to you, and back, "Probably just a restless dream or somethin'." Dean answered with a shrug, making you hum and turn back to Sam.
"That's what I had thought." You said softly, resting your arm against the shoulder of Sam's chair, your cheek resting on your open palm. You raised your other hand, hesitantly reaching out to place your hand on Sam's head. Dean gave you a glance and a small grin reappeared on his face as you began to brush your fingers through Sam's hair.
Slowly, you noticed Sam's face soften, and you smiled as you continued to gently scratch your nails against his scalp. As you continued, you realized that you had never touched Sam's hair before, and it made your heart flutter, butterflies erupting inside your stomach as you closed your eyes, enjoying the feeling of his thick strands beneath your fingertips. They were so soft.
It was late at night when Dean pulled over at the motel. Sam had woken up a couple of hours prior, only minutes after you had pulled your hand away and decided to zone out for the rest of the trip to Louisiana. Time quickly went by as the brothers went to bed, and you sat on the couch, quickly watching the TV, occasionally switching the channels.
~~~
That night, you were getting ready in the motel bathroom, and you looked in the mirror, smiling to yourself. You thought you looked beautiful. The dress fit you perfectly. Dean had helped you pick it out that morning for the party. You never really thought about having a favorite color, but this color made you smile. Your hair was also done up nicely, as best as you could do it. You were ready.
Stepping out of the bathroom, you brushed down the skirt of the dress, hearing a quiet, 'Oh, damn' from Dean. Looking up, Dean stood beside Sam, who was also nicely dressed in an ebony, black tux. Dean was seemingly pretty impressed, his arms crossed with a smile on his face. Looking over at Sam, you were a bit surprised to see his eyes wide in awe. His lips slightly parted, his eyes wandering over every detail of you as if he were trying to process all of the information in front of him. It was a sight that made you chuckle under your breath - your cheeks feeling warm - causing Sam to snap out of his trance.
"I- uh, wow," Sam muttered, his hand coming up to rub his neck, his eyes still glued to your figure, "You look like an angel..." Immediately when Sam said that out loud, he wanted to slap himself, he cringed mentally.
You let out a small laugh, looking up at him through your lashes. "I am an Angel, Sam."
Dean gestured behind him, taking a few steps back with a grin on his face, "I'm gonna get Baby all warmed up, it's chilly out."
Sam cleared his throat once Dean left, his eyes shifting from the floor up at you. Your smile faded a little, and you took a step closer to Sam, moving your hands up to readjust his tie that was slightly crooked, "Are you alright? You seem... I don't know... Distracted..?" You questioned, tilting your head to the side, and giving Sam a slight smile.
"What? Oh yeah, no, I'm fine. I just think you... You look really beautiful tonight, Y/N." Sam spoke, a nervousness in his voice. He knew he had already ruined any chance at being smooth, but he just couldn't seem to help himself; you looked stunning.
"Thank you, Sam. You look rather handsome as well." You replied with a nod, your smile returning as you took Sam's hand into yours, squeezing it before letting go.
"You think so?" Sam's small smile turned into a frown, his eyes falling to his shoes momentarily. He then sighed, shaking his head as he looked back up at you, his brows drawn together, "Y/N, I need to tell you something-"
"Alrigh', come on, love birds," Dean interrupted, clapping his hands together once to gain both of your attention, "Let's head out," Driving to the mansion where the party was going to be held, Dean spoke up once stopped at a red light. "So, there was some couple that were unable to go to this party, so you two will pose as them," Dean spoke, beginning to drive again when the light turned green. "Their names are Marie Frank and Christian Frank."
"I'm Christian?" Sam asked from the passenger seat, and Dean let out a small snort.
"Yeah, unless you want to be Marie?" Dean said, turning his gaze towards him from behind the wheel, "Cause that'll definitely make things easier for everyone involved."
Sam rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest in annoyance. You laughed quietly in the back seat.
- 4 -
Walking inside the mansion where the party was being held was easier than Sam had thought, but he kept his guard up. Turning to look down upon you, he took in an almost shaky breath before offering his arm out to you. Smiling sweetly up at him, you took his arm and allowed him to lead you inside. Walking in, you saw many people dancing, drinking, laughing, eating, talking, etcetera. All of these people were unknowingly standing within a monster's lair, and you were confident that you, Sam, and Dean would vanquish the Vampire before he could take any more victims.
Leaning against the large bar, you looked over as Sam leaned down to speak to you in a hushed voice, "So, how are we going to find out which one is the Vampire?" He asked you, his warm breath wafting over your face, causing goosebumps to spread across your skin.
You glanced around the room, trying to spot anyone who could in fact be a Vampire. Soon, your gaze then landed on one man, his boisterous laughter echoing throughout the large ballroom as he spoke to a couple. His long, dark hair cascaded down his shoulders, and his brown eyes shined with humor as he told a story. As the man chuckled, you noticed him wearing burnt red-orange attire; he stood out like a sore thumb.
You leaned to the side, your eyes not leaving the man you were sure was the Vampire in question. "That one," You whispered to Sam, who leaned towards you to hear, "He's the Vampire."
Sam hummed, nodding his head slowly. "How do you know?"
"I- I don't know... I just do." You answered, pushing off of the bar counter, "Meet me at the back entrance, I can take care of this." You spoke, giving Sam a smile before going to walk off, but Sam stopped you, taking your hand.
"Wait, Y/N..." Sam trailed off, his hazel eyes boring into yours. He wanted to say it, he wanted to say that he was in love with you, but he couldn't bring himself to say those words, not yet anyway. Not even close. He let go of your hand, "Be careful, okay? We don't know what he might do."
Smiling lightly as a flush rose onto your cheeks, you nodded. "You know I will be."
Sam watched as you walked over to the supposed Vampire seeing that he was all by himself now, a drink in his hand. Sam felt his heart sink to the pit of his stomach as he watched you talking to the Vampire. A smile on your face as you batted your eyes; it surprised Sam, seeing you so easily flirt with someone; much less a Vampire. Sam hated the way the Vampire was looking at you, the way he licked his lips every few moments or stared at you hungrily. Sam finally snapped out of it when he watched you lead the Vampire to the back of the ballroom towards a door. That was Sam's cue.
- 5 -
It was over, the hunt, that is. Sam sat in the front seat, hands curled into fists. He didn't say anything after Dean picked both you and him up after Sam killed the Vampire. You sat in the back, fiddling with your fingers as you glanced at the back of the passenger seat periodically. You could practically feel the rage pooling off of him in waves. Dean could sense it too, glancing at him but saying nothing. You didn't know what to say, or if you should say anything. You didn't know if Sam was upset at the Vampire, at you, or the situation.
When you brought the Vampire out, which you had learned was named Anndro, he immediately pinned you to the side of the building. You listened to him talk before he told you that he was going to kill you, drink your blood, savor it before throwing you in a swamp for dead. You pretended to be frightened, and you let the tears fall down your cheeks, but in reality, you were ready to end him.
Sam had popped around the corner, and once he grabbed the Vampire's attention, you grabbed the back of his head. And... Then he was gone. The walk to the car was awkward, Sam's back was hunched slightly, shoulders stiff as he opened his passenger side door and got inside.
Dean looked up at the rear-view mirror at you, seeing how upset you looked. A deep frown on your face, your arms crossed over the other, holding yourself as you glanced out the window.
It was very awkward and nerve-racking for the rest of the trip. Sam hardly spoke, and when he did, it was only a sentence or two. Dean tried to liven up the atmosphere but it was all for not. You didn't want to try for fear that you would make it worse. Once you got back to the bunker, Sam went straight to his room and slammed his door. Your shoulders deflated, drooping, but you were thankful to be in your regular clothes, not wanting to ruin or wrinkle your dress when you flopped down on the couch; burying your face into the cushions.
Dean let out a sigh, shoving off his shoes and walking over. Dean sat beside you, tapping the back of your calf with a hand. "Just give Sammy some time," Dean offered, his voice low, "He just needs space." He added, knowing full well that Sam would eventually come around.
You gave a slight nod, turning around to sit up. Tucking your legs into your chest, you wrapped your arms around them, looking up at the older brother, "Why is he acting so cold?" You asked softly, "Was it something I might've done?" You asked, a frown on your face. It was something you did, wasn't it?
Dean hesitated for a moment, "No, sweetheart, Sam's upset with himself is more likely."
"What?" You questioned, sitting upright in your seat, "But why?" Looking away from him, your eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Sam's not the best with emotions, ya'know?" Dean began with a small shrug, "Hell, I'm not either," He let out a small laugh, making you feel slightly better, "It takes him a bit to actually say anything, and if he doesn't... He bottles it up until he explodes. He’s currently exploding." Leaning forward, Dean lowered his voice a bit. "Sam's never been good at showin' his feelings, especially in situations where his heart's on the line." He added, making your eyebrows furrow.
"What do you mean?" You questioned, leaning closer to him as your curiosity peaked.
Dean smirked, "I think I'll let him tell you that when he's ready."
~~~
Sam finally left his room to grab some food, pausing when he noticed you on the kitchen island, reading a book. At his entrance, you looked up, setting down your Agatha Christie book beside you. You clasped your hands together in your lap, staring right back at Sam. He was the first to move his gaze away from yours, heading to the fridge.
"Are you alright, Sam?" You asked, and Sam paused briefly before grabbing a drink from the fridge and shutting it. You watched as he fumbled through cabinets looking for something.
"Why are you sitting all by yourself in the kitchen?" He asked, deflecting your question, which you noticed.
You tilted your head slightly, swinging your legs back and forth, "Well, I have the understanding that humans have the urge to eat typically every two hours, so I only found it reasonable to wait in the kitchen to talk to you; since I did not want to bother you while you were in your personal room." You replied quietly, watching as Sam continued to search through the drawers. Seemingly, he seemed to not be able to find whatever he was looking for - giving up - he let out a sigh. Turning around, leaning against the counter, Sam looked back up at you. You both looked at each other for a long while, Sam's knuckles turning white from his grip on the counter behind him. The way you stared at him made Sam nervous. His eyes darted about the room nervously, trying desperately to ignore the burning feeling in his chest. "I deeply apologize if I have upset you in any way, Sam." Your words surprised him, "Dean had tried to reassure me that I had nothing to do with your behavior earlier, but if Dean was wrong, I think it is best that I say that I am sorry." You admitted sadly.
Sam sighed, running a hand through his hair. He ran his tongue along his bottom lip, "No, Y/N, no, you did nothing wrong." He explained, "If anything, I should be apologizing for ignoring you... I just needed time to think."
Your eyes widened slightly, "You're not angry at me?" You asked, tilting your head to the side slightly in confusion.
Sam shook his head slowly, stepping forward towards you until he stood right in front of you, finding himself in between your legs. "No, honey, I'm not mad at you. I was upset about the hunt."
Your heart flipped at the nickname, "But, it was successful, was it not?" You tilted your head, Sam's own heart racing under your eyes as he reached out a hand and rested it on the side of your cheek. His thumb rubbed across the soft skin gently, sending chills up and down your spine.
"It was, I just... I-" Sam let out a deep sigh, his head falling, his chin to his chest. Again, Sam lost the courage, he couldn't get himself to say it. Not yet anyway. Your hand came up, resting on his forearm, rubbing slow circles onto it, making Sam lift his head again. His hazel eyes caught yours; you looked at him sympathetically before dropping your arm. Leaning forward, placing a kiss on your forehead, Sam breathed out deeply from his nose, shutting his eyes before backing away and leaving the kitchen.
You sat there, confused, but with a warm feeling in your heart as you grabbed your book and continued reading.
- 6 -
Castiel arrived the next day, to accompany you back to Heaven. You didn't want to go, not just yet. You knew you had to go but you didn't want to leave Sam. You went to Castiel, asking him if it was possible to stay one more day. He said you could stay a couple more hours at most, and that was all you could really ask for; just a bit more time.
"Well," Dean had begun, a small Winchester grin on his face. "How ‘bout I set up a movie for us all to watch? Sammy, you make the popcorn, I'll get the beer."
You and Castiel sat on the couch, sitting silently as Dean and Cas got the food and drinks ready, and before you knew it Dean was sitting next to Cas at one end of the couch, and Sam and you were at the other. Glancing over at Dean and Castiel, you noticed Dean's arm lying lazily on the back of the couch, behind Castiel; they looked pretty close and cozy. You shrugged that all off, trying to pay attention to the movie as you became aware of how close you were to Sam.
His thigh was basically pressed against yours, his arm just brushing yours whenever either of you moved. You were becoming acutely aware of Sam's presence, your heart hammering as you bit your lip. You were sure this was an invasion of Sam's personal space, but if he was uncomfortable being so close to you, he would have moved. There was another seat to the left of you. And you knew Sam, at least from the two years you've been on Earth, you knew that Sam would've gotten up if he were uncomfortable. You weren't uncomfortable, no. You rather liked being so close to Sam, his body radiating warmth and comfort. You never felt more safe being so near Sam Winchester.
Your heart plummeted, you'd have to leave back to Heaven soon. A small frown fell onto your lips at the thought; it hurt. What if you didn't see Sam again? Or Dean? What if you never saw either of them again? You knew that wasn't true. You had been through this before, you'd see them again. You just didn't know when. You weren't going to cry, though. Even with tears in your eyes. Your eyes remained glued to the screen.
Sam looked down at you, and had been doing so every once in a while throughout the movie. His eyes glanced down at your hand, noticing it was tightly curled into a fist on your lap, tugging softly on the sweater he let you borrow, your knuckles white. Sam frowned in confusion, wondering if you were upset by the movie, or something else. Without even thinking, Sam reached over and took your hand, and it seemed that was all you needed. Intertwining your fingers with Sam's, his large hand engulfing yours, his warm thumb rubbing small circles on the back of your hand; Sam was being so sweet.
That's when the dam broke. Those tears that you were trying to hold in, fell. You reached up with your free hand, brushing your fingers against your cheek. You had never really cried before, not for real...
"Y/N? Are you okay?" You heard Sam ask, looking up at him, he had such a worried expression on his face. Your mouth opened to speak but no sound came out. With a shaking hand, you pushed the hair out of your face, nodding slightly.
"Hey, is she okay?" Dean then spoke up, peering around Castiel with a frown. "I can turn the movie off, Hell, we can watch a different movie."
You said nothing, trying to stop the tears that kept falling. Sam beside you shook his head, pulling you up to stand with him and leading you down the hall to his room. You followed along blindly, your eyes so full of tears. Sam led you to sit on the bed, taking a seat next to you. He brushed the hair from your face, caressing your cheek gently with his thumb, brushing the tears away. Your lower lip quivered, and you leaned forward burying your face into Sam's chest, wrapping your arms around him tightly. The room filled with silence, the only noise coming from the steady rhythm of Sam's breathing, his heart racing, and your small sniffles. Sam held you, one arm wrapped around your waist, the other gently caressing the back of your head; his fingers brushing through your soft hair. Sam closed his eyes, leaning down to press his nose into the top of your head.
After a few moments, you felt like you could speak without crying. "Sam," You whispered, breaking the silence, pulling back out of his arms, "Is this normal?" You asked, gesturing to the many tears on your face.
Sam gave you a small nod, his hand coming up to brush those said tears away, "Yeah, Y/N," He murmured softly, "Humans cry for a lot of reasons.”
"But, I’m not human…" You responded quietly. "I've never cried before. This is all very new." You felt a little bit better. "I guess this is the closest I'll ever be to being human. Humans and their emotions..." You muttered, turning your gaze downwards.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Sam then asked, "You don't have to if you don't want to," He added, reaching out to take your hands in his own.
You stared down at the floor, unable to look Sam in the eye for long. Eventually, you nodded your head, "Yes" You whispered, "I don't want to go back to Heaven... At least, not yet anyway."
Sam smiled slightly, squeezing your hand gently. "Well, we'll just have to have Cas bring you down here more often," He replied, clearing his throat lightly, "Dean loves you here, I... I love you... Here."
Your head shot up, seeing Sam had brought his gaze to his lap, "Really?" You asked, and Sam nodded, looking up at you with an unknown expression on his face.
"Yeah, Dean’s much nicer when you’re around,” Sam tried to joke, before he continued, “Listen... I've been meaning to tell you this for a while now," Sam began, obviously nervous as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I... You're amazing, Y/N, you are... And..." He trailed off, letting out a breathy laugh, letting go of your hand, he brought his hands to his face, rubbing it as he let out a sigh. You could tell that whatever Sam wanted to tell you was pretty difficult, and it was difficult, Sam felt like he was choking on what he wanted to say. He needed to tell you, he didn't know when he was going to see you again. So you waited patiently for Sam to continue. "I... I think I'm in love with you." He said finally, his voice quiet.
You looked at him for a second, your mind processing what he had just told you. It was so sudden, so unexpected. "You... You.. Can you please say that again?"
"I'm in love with you." Sam repeated, sure of himself, still not meeting your gaze, rubbing his hands on his jeans nervously. He looked up at you, and you saw that Sam seemed a little scared. He was waiting, hoping that you'd say the words back to him, that you were in love with him too. He couldn't help but wonder if you felt the same way.
"Are you sure?" You asked hesitantly, you swallowed thickly, "I mean... I am not-"
"I'm more sure than anything..." Sam interrupted, "More sure than I have been in a long time," He released a sigh, running his hand through his hair. The two of you sat silently for a moment, the silence filling the air; Sam's thoughts swirling around in his brain, he was trying to figure out what to do next. He didn't know where this was going. But you weren't saying anything...
You stared right back at Sam, staring into those hazel eyes that you called your home; he was a slice of Heaven away from Heaven. He was perfect. No matter how much time passed, you couldn't get enough of him. Every time you got to know him, you fell a little bit harder. You never thought that you'd fall for Sam Winchester when you accompanied Castiel to Earth two years ago. But here you were. Falling for him, loving him, wanting to spend the rest of eternity with him. You watched as Sam bit his lip, his eyes studying your features. He looked deep inside, searching for some emotion, some hint of doubt.
Complete joy seemed to flow through you, your hands shaking as you grabbed Sam suddenly by his stubbly cheeks and pulled him towards you, connecting your lips with his. You felt Sam relax instantly; you kissed him with all you had, feeling Sam smile against your lips and wrap his arms around you. You sighed happily, the soft press of lips on your own sending chills down your spine. Sam's hand slid down to the nape of your neck and he deepened the kiss. His other hand cupped the side of your face, his thumb stroking the soft skin underneath your eye, making you lean into his touch.
As the two of you broke away, Sam gently nudged his forehead against yours. "You'll come back, right?"
You let out a small breath, "I'll do all that I can to come back to you, Sam." You replied simply. A slight smile appeared on Sam's face as he leaned in again, capturing your lips in a gentle kiss.
~~~
"Should we check on your brother and Y/N?" Castiel asked Dean, who only shrugged, watching the two cowboys have a showdown on the TV screen.
"Nah," Dean let out, a smirk on his lips, "They'll be fine. When do you and Y/N leave?"
Castiel shifted in his seat slightly, making Dean look over at him, "Tomorrow. I will endure any wrath for us being late."
Dean let out a chuckle, looking back at the screen, "I think I'm rubbing off on you, Cas." Dean teased, causing Castiel to roll his eyes good-naturedly. "I think you wanted to see me, huh?" Dean asked, and Castiel turned to him, a small smile gracing his features.
"It would seem so," Castiel admitted, his blue eyes meeting Dean's emerald green ones.
Dean sighed, his arm on the back of the couch dropping on Castiel's shoulders, "I knew it," He continued to grin, though, this time it was much softer, "I'm awesome."

cg!sam winchester headcannons ✩ wc: ~530 ✩ [div.]
this is about SFW agere/petre. dni if k¡nk. i’m a minor.
☆ CAREGIVER SAAAMM!!!! he would be so sweet. just be the best ever. that's it. that's the only headcannon. /j
★ i think that he wouldn't already know about regression, and it might take him a while to understand, but he would be so supportive. once he knew how much it helps you, he'd be all for it.
☆ he would probably do extra research into it. i mean... it's sam. i feel like he would really want to learn the science/psychology behind it. partially just out of curiosity, but also so that he can understand better. he would want to know exactly what's happening when you're regressing or dreaming so that he doesn't accidentally do something wrong.
★ he would LOVE playing!! whether you're a pet or a human little, he would adore it. i think he'd specifically really like physical playing! ⤵
☆ pretend roughhousing, picking you up and throwing you onto a bed/couch just to make you giggle, tickling if you'd enjoy it, spinning you around, putting you on his shoulders, doing the airplane game where he lays on his back and puts you in the air using his feet, crawling around on all fours and letting you sit on his back, playing peekaboo, etc.
★ but of course, he would really love all types of playing! with plushies or other toys, playing pretend, going to a park or outside in general, playing online games or board games/puzzles/card games, just anything. him and dean didn't have a lot of time or opportunities to be kids, so this would be really enjoyable and healing for him <3
☆ i can totally see him being a huge nickname guy. both calling you nicknames and petnames (if u want!), and receiving them!
★ i think some of his favs for you would be: baby, bud, pumpkin, tiny, hon(ey), bug, cutiepie, silly things like stinkybutt, jellybean, munchkin, short-stuff, and nick/petnames related to your animal type if you're a pet!
☆ i think some of his favs to receive would be: bubba, bubs, dada, sammy, samsam, and maybe even a sammy-wammy hehe
★ if you were okay with it, he would love to tell dean funny and adorable things that you two do together!! i think he'd love telling cas, too. (cg!cas hcs coming soon??)

“It’s so cool Dean, c’mon admit it!” Sam swivels in his seat of the mini van Dean’s driving. They rented it for a bit while the Impala is in the shop, much to Dean’s dismay, and John’s out on a hunt a few states over so the trucks gone too.
“Okay you’re right, it’s kind of cool. Not as cool as Baby though.” Dean caves and smiles when Sam beams with a mutter about him being right like always. He sounds so happy, it’s a little strange for Dean if he’s honest, ever since Sam hit age sixteen he’s been a ball of angst and anger, but not today.
He’s acting like he would when he was younger- still in his fleece pajama pants because no matter what Dean said he wouldn’t change, giggling at Dean’s cheesy jokes, sitting cross legged in his seat, flipping through the cds that the car rental place left like they’re the most interesting thing in the world, pointing out different colored houses or animals they see as they drive- it’s like he’s eleven again. Dean has no idea why or what’s even going on but he likes seeing Sammy happy so he won’t bring it up.
“Hey they have Metallica!” The cd gets pulled out of the plastic sleeve in seconds and Sam leans to slide it into the radio.
“You don’t wanna listen to something else?” The look he gets in response is somewhere along the line of ‘why in the world would you ask that’ and ‘how dare you offend me like that’ which makes Dean snort. Usually Sam’s complaining left and right about only being able to listen to the tapes Dean and John have stockpiled in the Impala and truck.
“Can’t believe you just said that, who are you and what have you done with my big brother?” Sam teases and blushes with a laugh when Dean pushing his hand at the top of Sam’s head.
“Haha, okay smart guy what do you want for lunch?” Please don’t say salad, please don’t say salad. One more salad this week and Dean may lose his mind.
“Slushies!” Dean blinks once, twice, pulls up to a red light and turns to see if his brother is being serious. He is.
“Sammy that’s not lunch.” A frankly pitiful pout forms on Sam’s lips in seconds, big eyes blinking at Dean like he just told him his dog died.
“We can get them but we need real food too.” That thankfully seems to fix the issue as Dean knows from years of raising Sam that the expression he just had would eventually turn to tears if he’s not careful.
“Can we get mac and cheese?” God he really is like a little kid again. Something sour appears in the back of Dean’s throat, partly worried his brother might’ve gotten cursed or something, but more so concerned that something might’ve triggered this. They’ve been nonstop hunting for a while now and Sam’s even had to skip school which Dean knows he hates. Maybe the drastic change in routine has been messing with him more than he says? Maybe the horror of what they see is finally setting in and this is Sam’s way of getting away from it?
“Course bud.” He smiles and lets his hand rest in Sam’s hair when he pushes into Dean’s touch. He was reaching to ruffle his brother’s hair like when they were younger but Sam’s almost laid across the center of the van to stay touching Dean.
“Thanks De’.” And fuck- that nickname strikes something deep in Dean’s chest.
It’s been years since Sam’s used it, he was still shorter than Dean back then, still got excited when John would come home, still asked Dean a million lore questions he was too young to be asking, still wanted to sleep in Dean’s bed with excuses of it being cold but in reality the monsters outside scared him and he needed his big brother to protect him. He was so innocent back then, short years ago that feels like a lifetime.
-
“The drive through is too long so I’m just going to go in and grab the food.” Dean says as he pulls into the parking lot of the Wendy’s restaurant- it’s the only fast food place Dean knows has mac and cheese and isn’t a two hour drive outside of where they’re going.
“Wait you’re leaving?” A hand quickly wraps around Dean’s forearm before he can turn to climb out of the van. His brow furrows when he sees how upset Sam looks, bordering on looking- scared? What the hells he scared of? He was smiling five seconds ago, humming along to the radio louder than normal and bouncing in his seat a bit like he used to.
“Just to get some food, I’ll be back fifteen minutes tops.” None of it soothes Sam.
“You wanna come with me?” He gets a nod, though it’s hesitant.
Almost the second they step into the restaurant Sam’s hand reaches to grip Dean’s tight like a vice. He’s glued to his brothers side and would be hidden behind Dean’s frame if not for the added height Sam has, height he’s trying to hide in this moment as he shrinks down and curls up against Dean. It’s breaking Dean’s heart a little- there’s maybe five people in the restaurant and yet Sam seems terrified.
“You okay Sammy?” The few people in the place are eyeing them more obviously than appreciated- Dean isn’t sure if it’s the pajamas with the Iron Maiden shirt and converse Sam’s in, the way he’s tucked into Dean’s side, or just the fact that they look out of place in this small town in the middle of nowhere Maine.
“Mm.” Well that’s not good. Sam always got quiet when he was upset as a kid, only giving a hum or nod to questions asked, not caring if John had been pleading with him for an hour to talk or if Dean promised a trip to the movies to see whatever Sam wanted or even if Bobby gave him free range over his entire library. The kids a master at the silent game.
“What can I get for you two?” The voice of the woman behind the register startles Dean which in turn startles Sam twice as bad, he clings his free hand to the loose material of Dean’s t-shirt and stuffs his face into Dean’s shoulder.
All Dean can do is relay their order back to the woman- pointedly ignoring her concerned looks at Sam- and wrap an arm around Sam’s shoulders so he has an easier time tucking himself as small as he can into Dean’s chest. The food takes no time at all to be done and Dean gets Sam ushered out of there as quick as humanly possible without someone thinking he’s kidnapping him. The sigh of relief both boys let out once in the van again makes Dean feel uneasy- they shouldn’t be sighing like this over ordering fast food.
“You wanna go get those slushies now Sammy?” He reaches to place his hand in Sam’s hair again, rubbing his thumb at his brother’s forehead and watching with a slightly furrowed brow as Sam’s eyes flutter shut before back open again. It’s only one pm, they left at seven this morning which isn’t all that early on Winchester time, but maybe Sam’s been acting weird because he’s tired?
“Or maybe stop at a motel and sleep?” The plan was to drive for at least another eight or so hours before stopping to sleep, but the last thing Dean wants is for whatever’s going on with Sam to get worse. He could be feeling sick, it is freezing out and it’s not like they’re exactly up to date with their flu shots.
“Thought we had to meet dad?” Sam asks with a clumsy rub of his eyes that makes Dean give a faint smile. He’s the same little kid he’s always been.
“We’d have to drive back here for Baby anyways, we’re just saving a trip.” Assuming the Impala will be done by tomorrow morning when they go to leave again, Dean can hope, and hope that John doesn’t ask too many details on why Dean and Sam won’t be meeting him as early as they said they would. The hunt he’s on seems pretty nasty so Dean doubts he’ll be paying much to mind to what day the boys get there.
“M’kay.”
It takes all of twenty minutes for Dean to find and book a room at the nearest motel- years of hunting for them in the pitch black makes them pretty easy to spot in the daytime. Sam stays in the car as Dean gets the key and pays for the room- though Dean can feel how hard Sam’s staring at him through the window, he swears the nervous energy radiates far enough that it makes Dean’s spine shiver.
“You okay bud?” Dean says with half a laugh when Sam collapses onto his bed and instantly curls his arms around Dean’s middle with his head on Dean’s chest. There’s an empty queen bed two feet away- it was the same price as getting a single so he figured Sam would appreciate the bed to himself. Apparently he was wrong.
“You’re not goin’ anywhere right?” His face falls hearing Sam’s voice come out so small, nearly whispering as he tightens his hold around Dean.
“Course not. I’m always right here Sammy.” That’s all it takes for Sam to let his eyes slip shut.
Dean can’t even think about going to sleep- too overwhelmed with worry- so he does what he did when Sam was little and starts to rub his hand up and down Sam’s back, counting the breaths he takes with each stroke of his fingers against Sam’s spine. He really hopes Sam’s acting a little more normal when he wakes up but just incase Dean makes a plan for if he’s not, going over the basic steps he used to do to make sure Sam stayed happy when he was a little kid, reminding himself of the habits Sam hasn’t shown in years but may revert back to. If Sam needs him to take care of him like he used to then Dean is going to make sure he does it right.

Wicked Desires
Words: 5,574
Pov: 3rd Person
Pairing: Crowley x Male!Winchester!Reader
Warning(s): Language, suggestive content, angst, semi-smut???
Summary: The reader and Crowley had been together for a while, and had planned on keeping their relationship a secret from the reader's brothers. What happens when Sam and Dean accidentally stumble upon something they aren't supposed to see?
Request:
Hello, hope you're having a good day/night
I was wondering if I could request Sam and Dean finding out their older brother is going out with Crowley?
@xweirdo101x
A/N: This was only supposed to be 1,800 words, what happened??? I really hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it, and I hope I did your request and Crowley justice! Feedback is greatly appreciated!
~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.
The chill fall air nipped at (Y/N)’s skin, causing a shiver to run down his spine as he exited the Impala. Pain shot through his ankle and up his leg when he stepped onto his right foot. He winced and let out a deep hiss as he reached over and held onto the top of the car for support. Sam got out of the car and was quick to move next to him. He wrapped an arm around his torso while placing (Y/N)’s arm around his shoulders. Sam shook his head.
“I told you not to step in front of me. I could have taken that vamp out,” he said.
(Y/N) let out a deep chuckle. His chest rumbled. “The vamp was going low and you were swinging high. You were lucky I did get in there, otherwise, he would have hit your leg like he did mine.”
“I could have handled it.”
“I know you could have, kid.”
Sam rolled his eyes at the nickname and assisted (Y/N) with walking to the motel door. Dean got out of the driver’s seat, got out the room key, and opened the door. He shook his head as well. He stepped to the side and let his brothers into the room.
“Sam’s right, (Y/N),” Dean began as Sam led (Y/N) into the room and helped him sit on the bed furthest from the door. “You have to let us take some hits once in a while. It can’t just be you getting hurt out there.”
(Y/N) let out a sigh. He lifted his injured foot onto the bed while the other rested against the tattered carpet. “You guys need to stop worrying about me. I’m fine, okay? It’s just a sprained ankle. I’ve had worse, nothing I can’t handle.”
“And I could have handled it, too, if you would have let me take him out.” Sam placed his hands on his hips.
“Trust me, Sammy, it’s a lot harder to lug your big ass through the door than it is mine. Besides, that’s what big brothers are for. They’re supposed to protect you. You took the vamp out right after he got me, so we’re good. No harm, no foul.”
Sam opened his mouth to speak, but let out a sigh instead, finding it useless to argue. He ran a hand down his face and turned away. Dean just silently stared at (Y/N), jaw clenched ever so slightly. (Y/N) licked his lips.
“Look, the hunt went fine. If the only thing we get out of it is a sprained ankle, then I’m okay with it! The vampires are dead, we’re all tired, and, I don’t know about you guys, but my stomach has been speaking in tongues ever since we got in the car. Why don’t you boys go and get us something to eat at that diner we saw down the road while I get cleaned up?”
Hesitantly, Sam and Dean nodded their heads. Sam began to walk towards the door while Dean kept looking at his older brother. (Y/N) raised his brows.
“Dean, I’m fine. Really. Like I said, it’s just a sprained ankle. I’m not even bleeding anywhere. The blood on my shirt isn’t even mine.” (Y/N) explained.
“I know…” Dean trailed. “But, believe me, we’re gonna talk about this when we get back.” Dean pulled the keys out of his pocket as he pointed at him.
(Y/N) rolled his eyes and waved him off. “Yeah, yeah, just go get the food.”
“Double cheeseburger?”
“Hell yeah, extra greasy,” (Y/N) mumbled and licked his lips, already able to feel his mouth begin to water.
Dean shook his head before he followed Sam out of the room, the heavy wooden door closing roughly behind them. (Y/N) let out a tired breath of air as soon as he was alone. He stood, making sure to keep the weight off of his right foot as he did so. He needed to get cleaned up.
He stripped from his clothes, tossing them onto the black duffel that rested half-hazardly over one of the side chairs. When his clothes were discarded, he made his way to the bathroom and closed the door behind him. He flicked on the switch for the light, the whirring of the vent fan filling his ears. He turned on the shower, checked to make sure that the temperature of the water was to his liking, then stepped in. Immediately, he could feel all of the aching muscles in his body relax. (Y/N) always loved getting the first shower after a hunt, the water was fresh and warm and guaranteed a better clean.
He didn’t take long in the shower, he wanted to make sure that his brothers had some hot water for when they got clean as well. He stepped out, grabbed one of the heavily used off-white towels, and wrapped it around his waist. He tied it at the corner and walked out of the room. The chill from the drastic change in temperature allowed goosebumps to appear on his arms and legs, the hair on the back of his neck standing tall.
(Y/N) went over to his duffel bag. He sorted his dirty clothes into one side of the bag, then grabbed a clean pair of boxers. He put them on underneath the towel before he tossed it to the side. As he took out the rest of the clothes he was going to wear that night, he felt a slight shift in the atmosphere. He froze. It was silent, but the air felt heavier, almost warmer.
“Hello, love,” the deep, familiar, accented voice spoke.
(Y/N) allowed his tense shoulders to relax as he turned. A smirk appeared on his face as he saw Crowley standing there, clad in his usual attire. Crowley eyed him.
“Damn,” Crowley shook his head. “I knew I should have popped in a little sooner. Maybe I could have joined you for a shower.”
(Y/N) chuckled as he limped over to him. “Aren’t you a charmer?” He questioned as he leaned in and pressed his lips against Crowley’s.
They shared a brief, chaste kiss before pulling away. Crowley’s hand reached up and gently caressed (Y/N)’s cheek. His thumb brushed against his jawline as his gaze shifted down to (Y/N)’s feet.
“I see the hunt didn’t go so well,” he observed.
“The hunt went fine,” (Y/N) grumbled and went back over to his duffel bag. “I got the worst of it, and it’s just a sprain. Nothing too severe.”
“You did it to save one of your brothers again, didn’t you?”
(Y/N) hesitated, the silence answering Crowley’s question for him. Crowley shook his head in disappointment as he walked over to him, wrapping his arms around his waist.
“You know, those two idiots can handle themselves, right?”
“We’re not going to discuss this. I’ve already explained; I’m their brother, and I have a right to defend them as I see fit.”
“You always defend them.”
“I always see fit.”
(Y/N) picked up his t-shirt and went to place his arms inside before Crowley stopped him. He looked at Crowley for a moment. He could see the wicked glimmer hiding behind his eyes.
“Leave it off,” Crowley’s voice was deep and seductive.
Crowley leaned in and pressed his lips to (Y/N)’s. That kiss was slower, passionate, and heated. Crowley’s hands wandered down (Y/N)’s body to his hips. (Y/N) reached around and cupped the back of Crowley’s head, his fingers entangled in Crowley’s short mess of brown hair. His other hand rested against his chest, his fingertips caressing the smooth fabric of his tie.
When they parted, (Y/N) let out a heavy breath. Meanwhile, Crowley moved his lips to (Y/N) jaw and down to his neck. (Y/N) tilted his head to the side as he pulled Crowley closer.
“Sam and Dean are going to be back any minute.” He mumbled.
“That gives us more of a reason to spend as much time together as possible.”
“Do you think we have time?”
“Do you?” Crowley pulled himself away from (Y/N), looking into his eyes.
(Y/N) stared at him momentarily before his eyes shifted to the bed closest to them, then, finally, to the door. He wasn’t too sure how much time had elapsed since he had gotten in the shower, nor how long it would take for Sam and Dean to get back. His mind was clouded with lust and desire, and the only thing that he could focus on was Crowley.
“Bed,” (Y/N) breathed as his hands made quick work to dispose of Crowley's suit jacket.
The fabric fell onto the floor as they made their way over to the bed, their lips connecting once again. The back of (Y/N)’s knees hit the side of the bed and he fell back onto it, his body bouncing from the force. Crowley was quick to climb on top of him. They kissed harder that time, desperately. While Crowley’s hands roamed around (Y/N)’s bare chest, (Y/N) was focused on taking as many layers off of Crowley as possible.
Crowley’s tie was the first to go as it joined the jacket on the floor, followed by Crowley’s belt, pants, and shirt. When both men were only wearing their boxers, they moved up the length of the bed until (Y/N) felt the pillow hit the back of his head.
“Fuck, you have no idea how much I missed you,” (Y/N) growled between kisses.
Crowley chuckled. “I could tell, love. I missed you, too. Do you know how hard it is to find time alone with you when you are always on the road?” Crowley moved back and began to leave small, butterfly kisses down his chest. “How hard it is to keep my eyes off of you every time your brothers summon me?” Crowley’s lips trailed down his pecs towards his stomach. “How often I want to remind you who you belong to?”
Crowley’s fingers began to play with the waistband of (Y/N)’s boxers. (Y/N) let out a needy whine.
“Crowley, please,” he breathed.
Crowley smirked as he looked up at him. “You beg so deliciously, darling.”
Before either of them could move an inch, the door to the motel room opened. Dean was the first to walk in. When his gaze landed on the bed, he quickly went to cover his eyes with his hand.
“Woah, sorry, (Y/N), didn’t know you-” he froze, eyes wide as he saw the person on the bed with his brother.
Dean’s hand slowly lowered as he took in the scene. (Y/N) was resting on his back, a horrified look of shock present on his face. Crowley sat between (Y/N)’s legs, his fingers still hooked onto the waistband of his boxers. Sam entered after Dean and, before he could say anything, he stopped. His eyes, too, widened. A sly smirk slowly appeared on Crowley’s lips.
“‘Ello boys,” he said, his voice breaking the heavy silence.
Soon, Dean’s expression turned from shock to anger. His fists were clenched at his sides. “What the hell are you doing to my brother?” He growled out as he took a couple of steps closer to the bed.
Crowley simply sat up on the bed, moving towards the edge. (Y/N) was quick to move between Dean and Crowley. He held his hands up.
“Dean! Stop!” (Y/N) spoke in a booming voice.
“You son of a bitch! I’m going to kill you!” Dean tried to push past (Y/N), but he held his ground.
(Y/N) stood from the bed and placed a hand on Dean’s chest. “Dean!”
Dean turned his attention from Crowley to (Y/N). His jaw clenched as he pushed (Y/N)’s hand off of him and turned back towards the door. He ran his hand down his face. The tension in the room was thick enough to be cut with a knife. Everyone stood in an uncomfortable silence.
What broke the silence was the sharp sound of snapping fingers. Everyone turned to look at Crowley. (Y/N) had expected him to leave, but he was surprised to see that Crowley was still sitting there, fully dressed in the outfit that he had appeared in. (Y/N) turned back to look at his brothers. Sam and Dean stood side by side. Both of them were sending deadly glares towards him. If looks could kill, (Y/N) would be dead…again.
(Y/N) took that moment to limp over towards his duffel bag. He got out the T-shirt and put it over his head. When it was on, he smoothed it out over his torso and limped back over to the bed. He sat next to Crowley, who had been watching (Y/N)’s movement the entire time. Once he was settled, Sam and Dean moved away from the door until they were standing in front of Crowley and (Y/N).
“Care to explain what the Hell is going on here?” Dean asked as he crossed his arms over his chest.
(Y/N) placed his elbows onto his knees, back slouched as he leaned forward. His eyes were cast down towards the floor. He felt like a child being scolded by his parents. Crowley glanced over at him before he opened his mouth to speak, but was quickly cut off by Dean.
“If you say one word, I will stab you, do you understand?” Dean said between clenched teeth.
Crowley closed his mouth and held his hands up in surrender. (Y/N) shook his head and clasped his hands together.
“Crowley and I…” he trailed. “Are together.”
“Together?” Dean raised his brows.
“As in together-together?” Sam added.
(Y/N) nodded.
Sam let out a sigh and shook his head. Dean shuffled in his spot.
“And…how long has this been going on?”
(Y/N) hesitated for a moment. His eyes were still cast down towards the ground. He couldn’t even look his brothers in the eyes. He felt ashamed. He had kept his relationship with Crowley from Sam and Dean for a while, and it was something that he never wanted to come to light. He knew this was how Dean and Sam were going to react. Crowley was a demon after all. The King of Hell to be exact. Their relationship was forbidden to begin with. Still, he couldn’t help his feelings for Crowley.
“How long, (Y/N),” Dean growled out.
“A year.” (Y/N) replied softly.
“A year,” Dean repeated. “A year. You’ve been screwing around with Crowley for a fucking year!? Was this before or after all the shit that he did to us? Are we even talking about the same Crowley here?”
“Dean, listen,” (Y/N) stood from the bed.
“No, you listen,” Dean stepped forward so that he was merely inches away from (Y/N), his finger pointed at his chest. “I don’t know what kind of fantasy relationship you think you have, but Crowley is using you.”
“I’m right here,” Crowley mumbled.
“You shut your-” Dean lunged for Crowley.
“Dean!” (Y/N) grabbed the collar of Dean’s shirt to hold him back. “Crowley’s different, okay? He’s changed. He cares about me and, dammit, I care about him.”
Dean looked at (Y/N) in disbelief. He scoffed and turned his back on him. As he ran his fingers through his hair, Sam took a step forward. He was visibly more calm than Dean was.
“(Y/N), you know how Crowley is, you’ve seen what he can do.” He shook his head.
“You guys don’t know anything!” (Y/N) shook his head rapidly. “You know all those demon hunts we’ve been on this year? You wanna know how we got all of the information so quickly? It wasn’t because of me like you thought.” He gestured dramatically to his chest. “It was because of Crowley! He was the one that gave me the information, he was the one that led us to every single one of those demon hideouts and let us get out of there as quickly as we did.”
“Yeah, and he’s just going to use that as an excuse for you to do favors for him,” Dean’s attitude was dripping from his voice at that point. “You’re supposed to be our big brother. You’re supposed to be protecting us from monsters like him, not sleeping with them!”
“That’s bullshit!” (Y/N) exclaimed.
“No, you wanna know what’s bullshit? The fact that we trusted you! The fact that you thought you would be able to pull the wool over our eyes. How the hell are we supposed to trust you now? How do you expect us to sleep in the same room, let alone the same building as someone who would betray us like this?”
(Y/N) tilted his head to the side. “What are you saying?” He crossed his arms over his chest.
Dean paused and licked his lips. “I want you out.”
“Dean,” Sam began.
“No, Sam.” Dean held a hand up. “(Y/N) made his bed…now he can sleep in it.”
(Y/N)’s shoulders slumped. “You’re kicking me out? I’m your brother, Dean.”
“You were my brother. Now I don’t know who you are anymore.”
“You don’t mean that.”
“Oh, I do. I do mean it. You can get out. Now.”
(Y/N) stared at Dean as he looked down at the floor. (Y/N)’s eyes moved to Sam, who was also looking at the floor for a moment before he turned his back on him. (Y/N) slowly nodded.
“Alright,” he whispered. “I’ll leave.”
(Y/N) limped past Sam and Dean and towards his bag. He grabbed his last pair of clean pants and put them on. He put on some socks and his boots before closing up his duffel. He slung it over his shoulder. He made his way towards the door and stopped for a moment. He looked back at Sam and Dean. Their backs were turned to him. Crowley had stood from his spot on the bed and began to make his way over to him. With a faint nod, (Y/N) opened up the motel room door and left.
It had been six months since (Y/N) left the bunker. At first, he didn’t know what to do with himself. He had made it his goal in life to protect his little brothers at all costs, but when they wanted him to leave, he felt lost. He began to hunt on his own, not going far from Lebanon to pick up a couple of smaller ones here and there. Then, after the third hunt, he knew that it wasn’t for him. He was never good with hunting alone. It had been a big shift going from working with two other people to working alone.
In the end, he decided that, even though he had been banished from the bunker, he didn’t necessarily have to stop protecting Sam and Dean. He had set up shop in his car, a small two-door truck that he had snatched from a shopping center in Lincoln, Nebraska, and rested a mile down the road from the entrance of the bunker. To go the extra mile, he had picked up a tracking device from a sketchy shop in Kansas City and put it in the Impala when Sam and Dean were asleep. The device gave him alerts on his phone whenever the car was in motion.
He followed Sam and Dean from hunt to hunt using the tracker. He made sure to keep a safe distance to not alert them. He would get a motel room, just like them, which allowed him to sleep in a real bed and take a real shower instead of sleeping in the front seat of his car and praying that he didn’t smell too bad if he had to go out in public. That was his routine; track the boys to the hunt, keep an eye on them, go back to the bunker, wait. Wash, rinse, repeat.
The entire time, Crowley was by his side. He would pop into the front seat of the truck occasionally. They spent the time talking to one another, an attempt made by Crowley to distract (Y/N) from everything that was going on in his head. At times it worked, but there were instances when (Y/N) just wanted to be by himself. He could tell that he was pushing Crowley away, but Crowley seemed persistent. He would bring (Y/N) food when he was hungry, and there were even moments when Crowley tried to urge him to make up with his brothers. (Y/N) always rejected the idea. No matter how much he wanted to be back with his brothers, they seemed happier without him. He would let them have their peace, even if he didn’t have his.
Around April, (Y/N) tracked Sam and Dean to a small town in the lower part of South Dakota. Having read up on the reports, he realized that they were dealing with vampires. As a result of his recon, he concluded that it wasn’t just a couple of vampires that his brothers would be going against. It would be a whole nest. He estimated about ten vampires, and that was just the ones that he had seen pass outside and in the windows of the farmhouse that they were held up in. (Y/N) was nervous. It was too big of a job for them to do on their own.
But (Y/N) knew how hard-headed Dean was.
They were going into the nest guns blazing.
(Y/N) couldn’t have that.
For the first time in months, he had decided to make himself known. Later the next night, (Y/N) followed about a mile behind the Impala back to the farmhouse. He waited a couple of minutes before he exited his truck. He walked up to the house, machete in hand tight in his grasp. As he made his way, slowly, onto the porch, he caught a glimpse at some of the corpses that were around the perimeter. When he walked up the porch, he was able to see the front door kicked in and the sound of combat became louder. He took a deep breath before he rushed into the house.
It was absolute carnage. Dark red blood decorated the floors and walls throughout the cramped foyer and bodies lay askew in various positions across the aged wood. (Y/N) stepped over the bodies as he made his way through the house towards the sound of fighting. Past the living room, he could see the chaos that was present in the small kitchen. The dining table had been flipped over, cabinets were broken off of their hinges, and blood splattered the discolored tile.
Dean lay on the floor, his hands held behind his back, machete across the room. Two vampires stood over him. One of them had their mouth agape, their sharp fangs glimmering in the moonlight. Sam was on the opposite side of the kitchen, a larger, stalkier vampire holding him against the wall, his forearm pressed into Sam’s throat. His fangs were out and they were inches away from Sam’s neck.
All (Y/N) saw was red.
(Y/N)’s movements were swift. One would never imagine that he had been out of the hunting game for months. One wouldn’t even imagine he was human. The way he moved, decapitating each of the vampires that held his brothers hostage, was almost ghostly. Their heads rolled on the floor, clumped together in a small pile in the center of the kitchen. (Y/N) didn’t even give the vampires a chance to react.
By the time the threat was eliminated, (Y/N)’s clothes and face were splashed in blood. The only sound that filled the room was the pants that fell from each of their mouths. (Y/N) lowered his arm, the machete dripping with blood onto the stained floor. He reached down, grabbed the hem of his shirt, and wiped the blood from his face, pinching his lips shut as he did so. When he pulled the shirt away, he could see that Sam and Dean were staring at him, their eyes wide.
Sam glanced down at Dean. Dean let out a grunt as he struggled to get up. Sam rushed over to his side and helped him up. When Dean went to put pressure on his right foot, he winced. He reached over and held onto one of the countertops for support before he and Sam turned and looked at their older brother again. Sam’s face was covered in an expression of disbelief.
“(Y/N)?” Sam breathed.
(Y/N) slowly lifted his arms. “In the flesh,” he mumbled before lowering them once more. He looked between Sam and Dean. “Look, I know that I’m the last person you want to see, but,”
(Y/N) was interrupted when Sam pulled him into a tight embrace, his arms roughly wrapped around him. (Y/N) raised his brows in shock and hesitantly hugged him back. It had been so long since he had seen his brothers up close, let alone hugged them, that the emotions started to bubble up inside of him. With the adrenaline wearing off, he could feel the familiar prickle of tears appear in the corner of his eyes. He never realized just how much he missed his little brothers.
When Sam pulled away, he had a small smile on his face. “Uh, how have you been? It’s been-”
“Six months. I’ve kept track,” (Y/N) mumbled as he looked down at his machete. He reached over and placed it on one of the counters.
“How the hell did you find us?” Dean grunted.
(Y/N) lifted his head to look at him. Dean was fully leaning against the counter, his right foot lifted off of the ground. One of his hands was pressed against his side while the other one rested against the granite.
“I put a tracker on Baby,” He answered.
“You what?”
“Put a tracker on your car. I’ve been following you guys for months.”
“Why?”
(Y/N) hesitated. “Because I told myself the day that mom died that I was going to protect you guys no matter what. No matter how much you two pissed me off or I pissed you two off. You’re my little brothers, and it’s my job to look after you. To make sure you guys are alive and kicking, and if I wouldn’t have been here…” he shook his head. “I don’t think I would have been able to forgive myself if I just walked away.”
“(Y/N)...” Sam trailed.
“I know, I told you guys I would leave and I did. And, if you want, I’ll be out of here after this. We can get in our cars, go our separate ways, and we never have to see each other again. I don’t want that to happen, but I’ll respect your wishes if that’s what you want. Before I go, though, let me tell you this;
“I understand how upset you guys were when you found out about Crowley and me. I understand how much of a shock that must have been. Hell, it was a shock to me when I realized that I liked the annoying bastard, and that’s the whole reason why I kept it from you two. I knew that you would react this way and I just didn’t want there to be any bad blood between us. We’re brothers, we’re supposed to stick together. Crowley and I talked about it and he understands that you boys come first before he does. It pissed him off when he would see my injuries from protecting you on hunts, but he stopped fighting me on it a while ago. Crowley’s not the same person around you two as he is around me. Believe it or not, he’s sweet and caring, and that is something that I never thought I would be able to say about him when we first met him.
“For my entire life, I had made it my goal to protect you guys. I never thought that I would have even a small amount of normal in my life. Granted, having a relationship with the King of Hell isn’t exactly normal, but it’s the first taste of normalcy I have ever had and I love it. I love him and he loves me. He knows my limits, and what I will and will not do for him. He’s never asked me to do anything for him and I’ve never forced him to help me. I know that you guys hate the fact that I’m with him, and if that’s something that’s stopping you from having any type of relationship with me, then I will end it with Crowley because you guys are more important to me than him. He knows this. He’s prepared for me to end everything to go back to you guys. I just don’t want to lose you both. You mean so much to me. We’ve been through so much together and I would hate to see something as stupid as a man tear us apart.”
Sam and Dean sat in silence as they listened to (Y/N). Once he was finished, he stood up straight. Sam glanced towards the ground before he looked over at Dean. He gave a small, short nod. Sam then turned his attention back towards his oldest brother.
“We’ve been talking…a lot,” Sam admitted.
Dean pushed himself off of the counter and hobbled next to his little brother. “I, uh…I think I overreacted when we found out.”
“What?” (Y/N) furrowed his brows.
“I shouldn’t have kicked you out.” Dean shook his head. “I was just so pissed off. But Sam and I have been talking recently and, uh, he mentioned that you’ve been…happier.”
“But it never really occurred to us that Crowley could be the reason why you were so happy all of a sudden.” Sam continued.
“Yeah, how the Hell he makes you happy, I’m not too sure.” Dean shrugged his shoulders. “But he does and…as long as you’re happy, then we’re happy.”
“And, to be honest, we missed having our big brother with us. Hunting, just the two of us, has been fine, but…we hate taking the blunt end of all the injuries. That’s supposed to be your job,” Sam said with a small smirk in the corner of his lips.
(Y/N) felt a lump appear in his throat as he looked between Sam and Dean. Tears formed in his eyes, but he was quick to wipe them away. Without saying anything, he walked over to the two of them and wrapped his arms around them. They returned the hug, placing their hands on the top of his back.
“I love you idiots so much,” he whispered as he blinked the tears away.
“I love you, too.” they both replied in a voice that matched his.
When they pulled away from the embrace, (Y/N)’s hands stayed on their shoulders. He looked between the two of them.
“Does that mean I can come back?” He asked. “I missed my memory foam mattress.”
Sam rolled his eyes while Dean chuckled. “We wouldn’t have it any other way,” he replied. “And, when we get back, you can clean yourself up. You look homeless.”
(Y/N) laughed and ran his fingers through his hair and beard, which were both longer than what he was normally comfortable with. “I don’t know. I kind of like my new look. Needs to be cleaned up, but I’m kind of digging it.”
Dean clenched his teeth in a disgusted expression. “Whatever works for you, man,” he patted (Y/N)’s back.
Sam chuckled. “How about we get the Hell out of here, guys? We can come back in the morning to burn the bodies.”
“Sounds good to me.” (Y/N) nodded. “And how about some burgers? On me.”
“You’re speaking my language, brother,” Dean smirked. “Now help me out to the damn car. That vampire did a number on me.”
(Y/N) wrapped an arm around Dean’s torso and wrapped Dean’s arm around the back of his neck. He began to lead him outside, allowing Dean to lean against him as they stumbled over the corpses on the way out.
It was hard being an older brother, especially when you had two younger brothers who looked up to you. (Y/N) loved Crowley more than most things, but he loved his brothers the most. It was his job to protect them. He would go to the ends of the Earth for his brothers, hunt down anyone who hurt them, and even die for them. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them. When he found happiness in Crowley, he didn’t want Sam and Dean to look at him as a failure. To hear that Sam and Dean had finally accepted their relationship made (Y/N)’s heart jump for joy. He had his brothers back, and he had his lover waiting for him.
(Y/N) could confidently say that he was the happiest man on Earth.

Nicknames/pet names Sam and Dean would give each other?
hmmm this i struggle with a lot when i write them. i feel like some nicknames/pet names they just would not ever say and that throws me? you know?
love love love sammy. sammy is a pet name at this point. no notes.
also, baby brother? big brother? these are also pet names, no? to me in my heart of hearts they are <3
the occasional ‘baby’ is very tender, very vulnerable. keeps it about as classy as incest can get.
i think they insult each other a lot and that’s their flirting. my partner gave me this idea that dean might call sam “lurch” and that lives in my mind now. sam loves to call dean a nerd/geek affectionately. they are brotherlovers after all <3
ik this might be contrary to how a lot of people dish out pet names with this ship; i personally don’t see them using things like “sweetheart”, “honey” and so on genuinely. sarcastically after they’ve been clocked by randos for the nth time? yes!!! during vulnerable moments? it’s a no for me, but it can be a yes for you and that’s okay!
