Hey. I was drained yesterday, hopefully I’ll get to it because I have an idea for it.
Tumblr media
Ink demonth 29: Queer
Why do I have a feeling a didn’t do it right?
Today, or yesterday by now, I just did jokey stuff. Yes there is more. These were all drawn at 12 to 1 am.
I drew most of these when I was really tired so please forgive me for these.
That’s Norman and Sammy by the way. Norman looks a lot off but it’s good enough I guess.
There’s more underneath. There’s three drawing for this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Don’t ask about the first one. It wasn’t my idea. My best friend said this is what happened after the last post.
I just woke up so I don’t know what much to say.
Hope you have a good day/night :)

DCTL Liveblog: Chapters 16-20
Sometimes this feels like I’m reading really good fanfiction.
Spoilers under the cut:
Chapter 16
I like how they’re just casually sitting here right after watching someone die and while there’s a demon on the loose. shouldn’t you guys, like, leave first
confirmation that Henry created Alice, even though she wasn’t used until after he left (which is kind of what I figured, but I’ve seen people say it was Joey)
Henry is Norman Approved(TM)
Norman calling Susie a “cute kid” is adorable honestly. I always liked the idea of them having a friendship
the whole “evil thing doesn’t like light” thing bothers me. like one it’s the most generic monster trope in the book, and two, since when the fuck was that a thing? Bendy fucking fistfought the Projectionist, I think he’s okay with a little light.
Actually the Ink Demon in general seems off in this - he doesn’t show any of the mischievous nature he has in the game (yet, anyway) and he does a bunch of weird shit like crawl on the ceiling or make wailing noises. feels like I’m reading about an xenomorph or something than Bendy.
the whole “ink goes through but doesn’t come out” doesn’t seem to make sense either? The blueprints indicate the Ink Machine produces the ink, which is how it was presented to the employees.
The thing about Sammy not acting like himself is interesting. It’s possible he’s so widly OOC is because the ink’s driving him crazy... but unfortunately that still doesn't’ really explain away the bigot shit. Plus it’s hard to tell if that was the author’s intent or not, maybe the next book will make it clearer.
I don’t really get why Buddy’s freaking out. Yeah, the ink’s at his house, and...? it’s not like anyone else is fucking around with the stuff, just wait until it’s safe and then bring it back to the studio.
Chapter 17
oh okay, he was worried about it infecting someone at his house, that makes more sense
Not sure how I feel about the ink being alive and stuff? I actually had a fic that explored that and bunch of other ideas that I didn’t write down because it was non-canon wherein it was something similar, but I was presented in more of an eldritch way. The ink just moving around on its own feels too venom-y for my taste, and is kind of weird considering it never was indicated in the game.
For those worried about the holocaust stuff: it’s just character backstory for Buddy’s grandpa and it’s treated very respectfully.
dumping the ink into a river seems like literally the worst way to get rid of it, but whatever
Chapter 18
"did you paint this?” uh...duh? your mom just told you he sent over his paintings, were you not listening?
Chapter 19
“I don’t have to sit there and watch people die” yeah, you can dick around and get lots of other people killed instead! Dot I like you but this is just a dumbass move
“I remembered the violinist, then tried to forgot her” it’s okay, everyone else already has seeing as she was such a background character she didn’t even get a name
okay screw everything else I just wrote Bertrum flat-out hugging Joey is by far the most surreal part of this book
you see, that was Henry’s problem, he though Bertie was trying to kill him when he was actually just trying to hug him with his carts. an easy mistake
I don’t think this is actually OOC though - they’ve just met recently (possibly only once before now), so Joey hasn’t had enough time to step on his ego and piss him off. we’re escentially seeing the rare non-butthurt Bertie
though to be fair, it is weird that Joey just calls him that and he doesn’t even bother correcting him
also, him brushing off Joey’s compliment with an “I don’t know about that” doesn’t seem quite right for an egotist, unless he’s just pretending to be humble for the sake of appearances
also I’ve been headcanoning him as big both in height and weight since the beginning, I’m glad he’s now canonly confirmed Beefy(TM) (their words not mine)
“Janie and the Bandits” good to see Showdown’s still getting work after being cancelled
Joey calling him a friend is also really funny because I’m pretty sure he still considers him that even after Bertie starts getting pissed at him
oh I see, the theatre was for expansion purposes
“Joey I heard you have booze here and I want it”
Chapter 20
it’s weird that Tom was fired. didn’t he quit of his own accord according to his first tape?
“Allison your fired” “I say I’m not fired” “damn it”
Thomas confirmed Swole
Tom being pissed all the time is... unfortunate, even if makes sense given what’s going on. It’s not a problem in general but when you make a character black you really gotta watch out for implications like that.
Allison knows that people died (esp. Susie), which is... interesting. It feels like it ties into her “I’m no angel” thing and not wearing her halo, though it also feels like it defeats the point of her being the “good” Alice a bit
I really like the little bits and pieces showing how the cartoon’s and ink creature’s minds work, seeing as the game doesn’t explore it at all
I wish they’d stop doing the “and I was face to face with Bendy” thing - it never is him and in this case it’s really obvious it’s Sammy.
TL;DR: Not sure if I like the direction the stuff with the ink is going, but otherwise it’s still pretty decent. Have to see how the final chapters play out tomorrow.

The Ink Demonth Day 31
Here we are the final day of Ink Demonth! The Free Day!!!
So for Free Day I decided to work on an idea that’s been playing in my head. What if Allison and Susie ended their hatred and became friends and having a girls day together. I need some wholesome moments where its not just hating on each other or being sad, just some cute sweet wholesome friendship between Allison and Susie!
Well it was fun working on Ink Demonth! Thank you @halfusek for this amazing event!!
It was my role! It was my role!
That’s all Susie Campbell thought since that day, Allison Pendle came to the studio and took her job, her best friend, everything from her. She wished Allison never stepped foot in the studio, never glanced at Joey anything that kept her away from the studio and Alice Angel. Now all Susie does is just complain about her role getting taken, and her on and off relationship with Joey.
Luckily, today was her day of so she could stay in bed all day till the next day; this was her routine ever since her role was taken from her. She only came out of her room if something was needed like meeting up with Joey. What got Susie out of bed was her stomach she hasn’t had any breakfast, and wasn’t going to stay in bed hungry.
The former actress went to her fridge and saw there wasn’t much in the fridge just a pitcher of water, juice a few loaves of bread and a carrot. Susie sighed guess she had to get groceries, but first a quick clean up. Susie took a quick shower, got dressed and headed out the door with a list in hand. All she needed was some groceries and she can head back home in bed with a radio playing some slow tunes.
The bus ride felt like forever as Susie waited for it to stop at the local market. Once it stopped she jumped out of the bus and headed inside the market. Susie looked at her list and read through what she needed. Not too much on her list just food that will fill the fridge for the week. Susie gave a confident smile grabbed a kart and started walking towards the isles.
Susie got a few cans of soup, some produce and a jar of orange juice. She crossed out what she got and went to the next item. “Alright, so I just need eggs and milk. Then back to bed.” Susie stopped, glaring at the girl in the distance.
Allison was doing shopping herself getting some butter from the shelf, probably for a new recipe. Susie sighed and rolled her eyes; out of all the days to go out she had to run into co-workers, especially one she despised. Susie sighed rolling her eyes, this wasn’t the studio Susie just had to look away and walk to another isle. However, Allison turned and spotted Susie walking away.
“Susie!” Allison waved.
“Crap” Susie mumbled. She turned glaring at Allison, she took a deep breath and looked at Allison straight in the eye. She remembered a time when Allison and Susie were like this. It ended with the two girls fighting, punches and hair pulling included. Many of the guys from the Music and Animation department enjoyed it, but many workers like Sammy, Norman and even Wally was horrified seeing how brutal the fight was. Heck, Joey didn’t do anything and it gave the former actress 2ndthoughts about Joey.
To make sure no scene happened Susie tried her best to act calm when in reality she wanted to yell at this girl in front of everyone. However, this wasn’t the studio so she kept it classy. “Hello, Pendle.” Allison gave a small smile at the former Alice Angel voice actress and it made it awkward around people. “Its…nice seeing you here.”
“Yeah. Same here.” Allison replied rubbing the back of her head. She gave a chuckle, “small world huh?”
Susie wasn’t laughing. She grabbed what she needed and walked off to finish her errands so she didn’t have to speak to this role taking backstabbing angel! Susie stopped when she saw a hand grab her kart stopping Susie in her tracks. “Listen Susie. Could we talk?”
“There’s nothing to talk about.” Susie replied. She tried to walk off again, but Allison held firmly on her kart.
“Please Susie. I need to speak to you.” Allison begged. Susie sighed. Allison wasn’t going to stop till Susie spoke to her,  “What do you want?” Susie asked.
“I’m inviting you to lunch at a café I love to go too. I figured it would be a nice place to talk.” Allison concluded. Susie wasn’t sure about where this talk with Allison would lead too. Did Joey send Allison to tell Susie she’s fired and kicked out of the studio like how Joey did with Sammy when he told her that Susie got replaced?
However, Susie’s stomach told her that she’s hungry and needs food as soon as possible. Susie had no other choice, “I guess I’ll come with you.” Susie groaned, even though she didn’t want too.
Allison smiled. “Great! Now,” she took Susie’s list. “Let me help you with your list. I’ve done my shopping already so let me help with yours!” Allison grabbed the end of the kart so she can make Susie’s shopping trip faster. Susie could do her shopping herself, and didn’t need Pendle to help her around the store, Susie knew her way around the store. Allison got what Susie needed and even helped paid for Susie’s groceries, which Susie didn’t need she had her own money, why was Allison being so sweet to her all of a sudden. Something was up.
By the time they were done, Allison dragged Susie to where the café she wanted to chat at. Allison hummed a song while Susie just wanted to jump on to the oncoming traffic and get ran over by any of the passing cars. “Okay here we are!” Allison beamed. Susie looked up and was surprised at the café they were at.
Café Fleur
Susie loved coming to this café, she took Sammy to this café once on a date and even took Wally for his birthday since no one wanted to celebrate. This was one of the places that truly made her happy. “I didn’t know you go here?” Susie asked.
“Yep. I’ve been coming here for a while with Sammy and the rest of the band members. He told me you like this place.” Allison pointed out.
This was the first time since taking her role, but Allison swore she saw Susie give a small smile. “Y-yeah he’s right about that.” She said quietly. Allison took Susie’s hand and they headed inside the café seated at the table.
They both looked at the menu’s seeing what they should order, but first their waiter asked what they wanted to drink. “Vanilla coffee.” Susie and Allison said at the same time. The two actresses stared in shock as their water jotted down their order and left leaving the two girls shocked and confused.
“Okay, this is getting creepy. How do you like the same coffee I like?” Susie asked. “Are you trying hard to be my friend, because I’ve listened to radio shows and movies, I know how this works.” Susie explained.
“I’m not acting or anything, Susie.” Allison replied. Susie glared crossing her arms not batting an eye at Allison. Allison sighed getting quiet. Their coffee came and Susie drank it not looking at Allison.  “Look.” Allison started making Susie look at her, “we got off the wrong foot I want to start over.” She explained. “I felt bad I took your role, when I took the job it was to be part of the band and cater the lunches at the studio. Joey came to me and told me about the job and when I heard you were being replaced I felt bad.” She explained.
Susie listened to Allison and realized what she was saying was the truth. There wasn’t a lie or some form of acting in her voice. “How could Joey just hire you out of the blue like that?” Susie asked.
Allison shrugged. “I don’t know. All I heard from Tom and Norman was that Joey has been acting strange.” Allison looked at Susie, she’s been seeing Joey a lot lately has she seen or hear anything strange? “Does Joey act strange at all too you?” Allison asked.
Now that Allison mentioned it Joey has been talking about “appeasing the gods” and “dreams coming to life” more then recently. Then just yesterday she heard Joey arguing with Grant and his secretary. She mentioned this stuff to Allison, but before they could continue on their talk about Joey they ordered their food, and once they ate they talked more about Joey’s weirdness.
“It’s a funny thing, Joey’s never been like this before. Ever since Henry left.” Susie mentioned.
“Henry?” Allison asked. That name was never familiar to her.
“You weren’t hired, but he was Joey’s best friend, the co-owner or should I say former co-owner of the studio animator and the creator of Bendy, Boris and Alice.” Susie explained.
Allison was intrigued! Joey never mentioned Henry to her nor he was the original creator of the toons. “Joey never told me Henry created Bendy and his friends, how did you-“
“Pendle, when you dated Joey he tells you everything.” Susie mentioned. Allison wasn’t sure to feel angry and betrayed or surprised and confused. Joey kept this all from her.
“What else do you know?” Allison asked with a smile interested over this Henry Stein and what else Joey has been hiding behind her back. Susie smiled excited to tell Allison everything. Maybe starting over wouldn’t be a bad thing after all.
The next morning, Lacie walked into the studio for another day of wild moron workers playing around the Bendyland games. However, to her surprise she saw Allison and Susie talking and laughing. She shook her head hoping this was a dream or Joey put something in her drink a few nights ago because usually Susie and Allison are fighting then laughing.
“Uh what is going on?” Lacie asked.
Susie and Allison looked up at the confused. Bendyland worker. “Oh Lacie! So glad you’re here! I’m just talking with my best friend Alli!”
Alli? Lacie thought to herself. Okay its official Joey put something in her drink.
“We had a great day off yesterday, we ran into each other at the store, went to the café, did shopping and spent the entire day at Susie’s apartment.” Allison explained.
Lacie wasn’t sure what to say, she never had any of these girl talks before and hope she would never be pulled into one. “That’s…great.” She replied giving thumbs up.
“I know!” Susie beamed. She gasped looking at Allison. “Lacie you should join us!”
“No.” Lacie replied before walking away not wanting to deal with this and walking off. Allison and Susie looked at each other and shared a laugh.

The Supply Closet is a Cramped Place to Be
Another BATIM Fic- this one should be multiple chapters! (Also is on Ao3)
It wasn’t the first time Wally had ‘disappeared’ right at the worst time, no by now Sammy expected to have to go off a find the lazy janitor, but this had been the first time that within ten minutes he was still nowhere to be seen. Sammy would rather not have a ink puddle in his office for too long but at the same time he had to go see how the band was doing.
“I’ll just scold him later; maybe I’ll make him get me coffee in the morning,” Sammy muttered under his breath. Honestly he didn’t mind Wally; that’s not to say he didn’t get on his nerves from time to time. When he wasn’t talking someone’s ear off he was sleeping or eating or falling and generally avoiding his job as best he could. Well avoiding it until Joey made his rounds, at that time Wally had become the “best employee”. Not like anyone believed the facade. Again though, he wasn’t a bad kid by any means (was he a kid? Sammy wasn’t sure of his age besides younger then me. His mentality never matured that’s for sure). A little lazy but when Sammy told him to get something done he’d actually set off and finish it.
“Alright people, we have some music to play and- hey where’s Violin chair three? Kevin?” Sammy walked into the band room getting straight to business but, as the luck of the day continued, one person wasn’t here; he wasn’t notified someone could make it their either.
“He went to the restroom,” One of the newer girls notified.Sammy can’t remember her name but she played one of the drums.
“That was a while ago,” Betsy corrected, another violin player.
Sammy sighed, running this band felt like watching children at times. This was the third time this week the band had a missing member who was off talking to girls or something of the nature. Only once did someone have a valid excuse; he found the guy stuck halfway through the floor.
“Everyone practice- I’ll go find him,” A few of the people giggled and Sammy rolled his eyes as he left.
Surprisingly Kevin wasn’t in the break room, instead an intern and Norman Polk sat making a new pot of fresh coffee.
“Either of you seen Kevin? The violin player?”Sammy asked Norman before turning to the other man“Sammy Lawrence by the way,”. He was rather short, not as small as Jack but close to it, with dark curly brown hair. He presented himself formally but their was a sense of messiness along with him. His cuffs were slightly stained and his face looked half shaven as if he started and couldn't find the time to finish.
“G-Grant Cohen, I'm the new accountant,” He sounded like he said a question rather than a statement and he stuck out his hand. His handshake wasn't firm; rather his hand shook. Sammy wasn't aware an accountant was hired and at the moment he didn't care. He said his goodbyes and set off on his mission; he'd have to get to know the accountant later.
He did a brief search of the animation department but beside a few sleep deprived animators he didn’t find anyone.
“Hey, Sammy, have you seen Wally around? Normally he tells me the latest gossip by now,” Henry asked as Sammy passed him by.
“Henry Stein not only looking forward but spreading gossip? What would your mother think about that?” Sammy couldn’t help but smile while teasing, Henry, and Joey had been friends since childhood. Joey had been distancing himself from the music director but that didn’t mean his friendship with Henry was relinquished. Henry was also one of the few people Sammy could be less serious with.
“I don’t spread it-well maybe I say something to Joey every once in a while-but I’m used to hearing it it’s become like a routine,”
“Wow, saying it to the boss? No wonder no one can keep a secret here- but anyhow I haven’t seen Wally around either. Looked for him earlier I have a blasted ink puddle in the middle of my floor. Right now I’m looking for Kevin, I’ll assume you haven’t seen him around?”
“Nope, he’s part of the band right? Tall blonde? Kind of attractive?”
“Yeah. He’s tall and blonde,I guess he looks alright and he’s one of my villon player...well thanks anyway Henry. After Wally cleans my office I’ll send him your way.
The toy department, could it really be considered a department at this point It was a room with one employee, only had the Irish toy maker who was playing one of his records drowning out the rest of the world. Sammy couldn’t say he blamed him for doing so, sometimes Sammy would play his own just to stop hearing people’s dumb conversations. He decided to leave him alone; if Sammy was in that position he wouldn’t want people bothering him.
Sammy was about to go to Joey, ask if the guy had some sort of emergency and had to leave, but a sound caught him off guard. It was a bump noise but when Sammy looked around no one was in the hall. It sounded like...it was coming from the supply closet. Sammy sighed, it wouldn’t be the first time someone decided to take a break from work to fulfill other ‘needs’.  Due to Wally leaving and losing his keys like one would with a hair clip it wouldn’t be too hard to find a spare set floating around and Sammy had heard on more than one occasion him complaining of finder other in their.
He went up to the door and expected just to jiggle the handle of it to get a reaction out of whoever, or whomever, in there. What he didn’t expect it to be unlocked was Kevin really that stupid-
The two fell to the wood floor, luckily both sets of clothes were on it appeared they were just making out, Kevin falling on top of whoever he was kissing.
“Should’ve expected you to be here. You can’t just go kissing in the middle of the work day- at least wait till after hours! Also you know he might not be the best janitor but Wally doesn’t appreciate using-“ Sammy’s voice breaks off as he sees the redhead laying on the ground. His blue uniform shirt’s first two buttons were undone and his neck was covered with hickeys. He gives a small smile but Sammy can see the beginning of tears form.
“Kevin, band room. You’re already late. Wally my office, now,”
Sammy was irritated, he thought at least Wally had some sense not to mess with the band members right before they performed. He couldn’t say he was too disappointedly suprized in Kevin, he’d been known as flirty.
“Are you-“ Kevin began to stammer something out.
“ Upset? No. Annoyed? Yes. Just play your instrument well and don’t make it habit missing practice,” Sammy stated. “Understood?”
“Yes sir, of course sir,” He let out a sigh of relief and Sammy couldn’t quite figure out why. Surely he didn’t come off as that intimidating.
Apparently Sammy didn’t make clear why he wanted Wally to go to his office, the ink puddle apparently wasn’t obvious enough, and he arrived to the janitor sobbing on Sammy’s desk.
“Wally, please clean up the puddle, it’s in the middle of my office if you couldn’t tell,” Sammy stated pointing at the inky blot on the floor.
“T-the ink? Ju-just clean the ink? A-and after?” Wally trembled his freckled face red and puffy.
“Henry expected to hear the latest gossip and  your expected to do your job at some point,” Sammy waited but Wally just stared at him with...fear? Sammy had never been to good at picking up on subtle emotions but the look on Wally’s face was clear enough. “Wally, I’m slightly disappointed, but cleaning my office will be enough to change that- and fresh coffee In the morning for a week. It’s nothing to sob or worry over-“
“But you don’t care?” He had begun to wipe his tears with the back of his sleeve but it was rather futile since the tears hadn't stopped.
“No, I do care. I’d rather you not make out with my musicians since they tend to get off track easily. Do that on your own time,”
“But that I was with a guy? You don’t care I was kissing a guy,” Wally’s voice trembled.
Ah, that was what worried the poor janitor “Why would I care, it’s your life isn’t it? And it’s not like Henry and Joey are- well I guess they do keep their relationship on a downlow. At least here,” Sammy rambled to himself not noticing that Wally had stood up. He didn’t notice until Wally had wrapped his arms around him and begin to cry and say incomprehensible words.
Sammy couldn’t say this wasn’t the first time this happened, and he wasn’t sure this would be the last, but he still was never prepared to give comfort. It was something he always had difficulty grasping so he just returned the hug letting the janitor sob.
“Thank you mister Lawrence- I- I’ll bring ya coffee every mornin’ in the evenin’ and whenever! And I’ll never lose my keys again, I swear! And I’ll even stop planning and pullin’ pranks on ya, cept on April first cause that’s my pass day, but all the other three hundred days I’ll be good!”
“Alright, Wally,” Sammy said, expected Wally to forget about the losing his keys part in a week and hopping he keeps true on the coffee and pranks part.
“I won’t even make any extra spills on accident-purpose no more! And I won’t mess with your musicians in the day time! If you want I won’t even talk to them! Hell, if ya want I won’t even talk no more. I’ll just zip my lips and hum as I work. I will! Oh thank you, oh thank you,”
“Alright, could you clean up the ink now-“
“Oh yeah! I’ll do that! Anytime anythin’ breaks or spurts or leaks or anythin’ I’ll fix it for ya!” Sammy can’t help but smile.

Hey! I loved the story you did yesterday! I had a kind of cute and funny idea! Do you think Wally and Sammy, could introduce Henry to Jack Fain? (Jack is a shy boi in my AU, he’s so cute!) I think it would be interesting to see how he’d react to another Searcher, even though Jack is ‘awake’ most of the time. I just thought it would be kind of funny and cute. Also I seriously loved the way you wrote Sammy and Wally’s friendship! Anyway sorry if this idea isn’t very good. 😅
Thank you so much! I was considering including Jack in the last story, but I ended up not being able to do it. So I’ll do it this time!
Once Sammy and Wally woke up from their brief nap, they decided it would be a good idea to take Henry someplace where he couldn’t do much damage. After a brief debate, they settled on going to the Music Department. Wally knew Jack was feeling lonely, and Sammy wanted to head back to the Music Department anyway. He liked being with the Lost Ones, but the Music Department was like home to him.
“Alright, so, how do we get Henry over there?” Wally asked, getting up and stretching.
“That’s…a good question.” Sammy looked down at Henry, who was rubbing his eye in a frankly adorable manner.
“We could move through the puddles,” Wally suggested. “That’s pretty safe and easy, right? Plus, all Searchers know how to do it. So Henry should too.”
“But how do we know he’ll follow us to where we want to go?”
“Simple, we just ask him to follow,” Wally said, as if this was the simplest thing in the world. He knelt down in front of Henry, grinning. “We’re gonna go on an adventure. That sound fun?” Henry’s eye lit up and he nodded fervently.
“Great! All you gotta do is follow us through the puddles. Can you do that?”
Henry nodded again. Wally turned back to Sammy, looking quite proud. Sammy stared blankly at him for a moment. There was no way this was going to work. There was no way. But Wally seemed to have such faith in the idea…
“Fine.” He finally conceded. “Let’s do this.”
“Awesome!” Wally held up a hand for a high five, which Sammy reluctantly gave him. They headed over to a puddle and dove in. If there was one thing Sammy enjoyed about being an ink creature, and there were very few things, it was the ability to move through the ink. It was far more convenient than simply walking places, and allowed access to places previously unreachable on foot.
Sammy popped out of the ink first, brushing off his overalls and moving away from the puddle to give the others room to get out. For a few agonizing moments, no one emerged, and Sammy was afraid they’d lost Henry. Then Wally’s head popped up, followed by Henry’s. Sammy breathed a sigh of relief.
“See? Toldja it would be fine.” Wally pulled himself out of the puddle.
“Don’t rub it in,” Sammy grumbled, helping him up. Henry looked around curiously. He sort of remembered being in this place before. But it was so quiet and empty. He whimpered quietly.
“It’s alright.” Sammy patted his head.
“Sammy likes it here ‘cause it’s quiet,” Wally explained as Sammy set off for the infirmary. “He’s kinda antisocial sometimes.”
“I have a limited tolerance for social interaction. I’m not antisocial.” Sammy said indignantly.
“Fair enough.” Wally put an arm around Sammy’s shoulder again. “If I had to go to half the events you had to when you were a kid, I’d be antisocial too.” Henry tilted his head to the sound, frowning as he followed.
“It’s a long story.” Wally said when he noticed Henry’s confusion. “His family’s rich and stuff. Y’know, they hated that we were friends. ‘Cause I’m poor.” Ah, that explained some of it. Henry nodded sagely.
“Wally, I’d really rather not think about that.” Sammy’s voice went quiet.
“Oh. Right. Sorry.” Wally smiled sheepishly. “Uh, anyway, Jack lives down here! He used to hang out here when we were human too, although he had to wear a clothespin over his nose back then. Helps that we can’t smell stuff now.”
“That…is true,” Sammy admitted, laughing a little at the memory of Jack hunkered over his desk with a clothespin over his nose. Speaking of the devil, Jack was indeed hunched over his desk, trying very hard to write something. It was interesting to see, especially since he didn’t have any legs.
“JACK!” Wally yelled, running up and slapping Jack’s back. “Guess who found Sammy?!” Jack screamed, almost falling off his chair.
“Wally, you know you shouldn’t do that.” Sammy sighed, shaking his head. Henry’s eyes widened at seeing another Searcher. This one had a hat! A really cool hat!
“Sorry,” Wally said.
“Hello, Wally.” Jack turned around to face him. His eyes lit up when he saw Sammy. “Sammy! It’s good to see you!”
“Hello, Jack.” Sammy stepped forward to hug his friend. “I apologize for making you feel neglected.”
“No, it’s alright,” Jack assured him. “I understand. You have responsibilities.”
“But you’re my friend.” Sammy insisted. It was at this point that Henry managed to crawl his way onto the little ledge and reach for Jack’s hat. Immediately, Jack stopped talking to stare at Henry.
“Please don’t touch my hat.” He said quietly. Henry withdrew his hand, backing up a bit.
“This is…Henry, right?” Jack asked, looking from Sammy to Wally.
“Yep.” Wally hunched his shoulders a bit. “We’d kinda hoped we could get him out, but…well…It didn’t really work out.”
“Mm.” Jack made a vaguely affirmative noise. He didn’t see too many other Searchers in the sewers, and even fewer who were like him and had some semblance of identity and understanding. Henry waved at him, smiling as best he could without a mouth.
“It’s nice to meet you.” Jack held a hand out. “I’ve heard a lot about you.” Henry tilted his head to the side for a moment before awkwardly shaking Jack’s hand. He’d almost forgotten how to shake someone’s hand.
“He’s certainly friendly,” Jack said. Most of the other Searchers he’d met didn’t particularly enjoy socializing. Nor did they engage with physical contact.
“Yeah, he’s a nice guy.” Wally nodded. “Everybody in the studio always loved him. They still love him, actually. You should’ve seen the way the Lost Ones were mobbing him! You’d think he was a puppy or something!”
“Well, we don’t see many new faces here,” Sammy said. “And Henry is rather adorable.”
“But is he cuter than me?~” Wally batted his nonexistent eyelashes. Sammy gave him a deadpan look.
“I’m cuter than you, Wally.”
Jack snorted, trying to stifle his laughter. Wally let out a horrified gasp, putting a hand roughly where his heart would be on his chest.
“Sammy! How could you?!” He swooned dramatically. “I thought we were friends!” Sammy started to laugh.
“I’m kidding.” He said through giggles. “But Norman’s sister Wendy is most definitely cuter than you are.”
“That’s fair.” Wally conceded. “Wendy’s cuter than everybody.” Jack looked down at Henry, watching as the other Searcher giggled and clapped his hands. Normally, he wouldn’t be so comfortable around a new person. But he always felt better when Sammy and Wally were there. As long as he had them, he felt like everything was going to be alright.

BatIM/HP Crossover
This is what happens when Star isn’t able to write for a long time. I get these dangerous things called ideas. So! Here are some little bits and pieces (mainly about their sorting) from the slowly growing world in my mind featuring our favorite BatIM characters and our favorite school of witchcraft and wizardry. Please keep in mind that how I sorted them is my own opinion, based largely off my own interpretations of the characters.
~ We’ll start simple, with Joey, Henry, Susie, and Norman meeting on the train. They share a compartment and despite being slightly awkward children, Joey is just out there enough to draw the other three into a conversation, one that lasts all the way until the train stops. They decide that no matter which Houses they all end up in, they’ll stay friends.
~ Joey’s a pureblood; Susie’s got a witch for a mother and a muggle for a father; Norman’s father’s best friend was magical, so while he’d grown up knowing about magic, having it himself was a surprise; and Henry tells them that he was entirely clueless about magic up until the day he got his letter.
~ They take turns guessing what each House they’ll each go into, once they’ve made sure to explain how the Houses and sorting works to Henry. Even after the short amount of time they’ve been together, they all agree on Joey being a Slytherin. Susie’s sure that she’ll go into Hufflepuff, if only because she’s not particularly brave, clever, or cunning. It takes some discussion, but they end up deciding on Hufflepuff for Norman. It’s the same with Henry, who shrugs.
~ Joey goes into Slytherin, just as they’d all thought. He got the typical ‘cunning and ambitious’ spiel, nothing new; what was surprising to him was the Hat’s brief dilemma over Slytherin versus Gryffindor (for his reckless and impulsive behavior). There’s some deliberation over Susie, but the Hat puts her in Ravenclaw. She’s a bit shocked but can’t say that she’s disappointed. The Hat reasoned that her creativity and drive to stand out would help her fit right in. Norman ends up in Hufflepuff without much fuss, but for different reasons than they might have expected. The Hat told him that it was his understanding that Hufflepuffs were often overlooked, and that Norman’s penchant for lurking and being one of those good kids that everyone knows but no one remembers would be able to continue.
~ Henry sits on the stool for a long time before the Hat finally calls out, “Slytherin!” He joins Joey and merely explains, “It said that Slytherins are good at hiding themselves and don’t like taking no for an answer.”
~ They make good on their promise to remain friends, and not a single one of them lets something like being in different Houses stop them. It’s more rare to see them separated among their tables than to see all four of them eating at one. They admittedly hadn’t been too sure about it in the beginning, but their hesitation ended the moment an older student told them they shouldn’t do it, and Henry looked that Ravenclaw straight in the eyes as he deliberately sat down and filled his plate without blinking. The professors honestly think it’s kind of adorable.
~ Joey lives up to the Slytherin stereotype, but that’s honestly part of who he is as a Slytherin, making people believe he’s over-the-top and dramatic and blatantly charming, when it’s the little things that he manipulates to his will. He’s especially fond of figuring out chain reaction type things, where he tips the balance in one spot and watches as everything falls into place exactly like he expected it to. He likes playing around with runes, and despite being a pureblood, he’s fascinated with the idea of combining magic and machinery to make something new.
~ Susie fits right in with the other Ravenclaws. She thinks just far enough out of the box to be more clever than she’d thought, and she’s got a way with words that can cut someone down to the quick if she has reason enough to. When the situation calls for it, in fact, she has the tendency to be downright harsh. Susie also enjoys the myriad of voice-altering spells, and she uses them as a basis to learn real, nonmagical ways of making her vocal cords do amazing things.
~ Norman keeps his old habits of purposefully blending in with the crowd to better go unnoticed. He likes seeing everything around him without being seen, and he becomes very good at all manner of concealing charms and other spells that mask his presence. You need some gossip? You go to Norman Polk, and you hope that he’s in the right mood for sharing. In a way, he likes collecting secrets, not necessarily for blackmail purposes, but because they’re full of meaning and all so different. He’s also very good at reading body language, and that makes him a nice friend to be around when your mood’s a bit wonky, because he’ll know whether you need comfort or space.
~ Henry seems to defy most of Slytherin’s main traits even as he practices them right under everyone’s noses. He does the opposite from Joey’s over-the-top methods, instead being the most under-the-radar type of manipulative. He’s especially good at predicting right-place-right-time scenarios, and that results in him ‘selling’ such information to some pranksters. It’s a hallmark of his cunning that he never gets caught. If someone says that something’s impossible to Henry, he often takes it as a dare, and just like the Hat said, he doesn’t like taking no for an answer. Though this doesn’t mean rules in general— in fact, he’s a model student, a real goody-two shoes who never seems to get in trouble. And that makes it all the easier for him to just slide right on by, unnoticed and underestimated.
~ Henry and Norman aren’t so different in that respect, but the thing that really separated them was Henry’s “Challenge Accepted” attitude, inspired by his tendency to look impossibilities in the face and say, “Watch me,” like in The Art of Being Alive. For him, magic just sort of opens up a whole new world of loopholes.
~ To outsiders, Joey’s the Instigator of their antics, Susie’s their cheery Motivator, Norman’s something of a meticulous Planner with everything he sees, and Henry just seems like he’s along for the ride. What they don’t see is that, in private, Joey might be the one to suggest something but Henry’s the one to push the rest of them to go through with it. He’s an Enabler, like in Dreams Come True. And he’s also their Plan G, as in Get Us Out Of This Mess. He’s very good at it.
~ They eventually meet Sammy, who’s in the year above them. Their dynamic is… interesting, to say the least. It’s the sort of friendship that everyone looks at with total confusion, because it doesn’t make sense on any logical level. During their second year, they meet Wally and Allison, new first years who also become part of their group.
~ I might end up doing more, especially if it seems people are interested, but I wanted to end with this one. As this is BatIM, you might be wondering where the toons come in, if at all. Well, great things often start small, and this is especially so in their case: they started as something like imaginary friends, characters that were born in the mind of a child only to become far more real than what should’ve been possible. Only, these were imaginary friends put to paper by a child with magic in his fingertips and love in his heart. You see, Henry wasn’t exactly telling the truth when he said he’d been absolutely clueless about magic prior to receiving his Hogwarts letter. Though he didn’t know exactly why or how it happened, for as long as he could remember, he could make his drawings come to life on the page. It’s one of the reasons he’s quiet around those he’s not close to— he never had much practice making friends, since he’d always had Bendy, Boris, and Alice to talk to. Coming to Hogwarts certainly doesn’t put a stop to it, though he doesn’t share his secret with anyone else. Not at first, that is. But sooner or later, perhaps a few years down the line, he might see the potential in Joey’s theories about combining magic and machinery to do amazing and wonderful things. Maybe even something like bring his living drawings off the page to join him in the real world.
Should I do more? Let me know if there’s a particular thing that you’d like to see me address.  :)

001 BATIM 003 Summer - rnm (I don't often see you talk about her lol)
Thank you for the ask! It’s
OOOOOOOOoooo Summer!
You are right I do not talk about her nearly enough, even though she’s somewhere in my top 5 favs (top 3 counting only characters from the show)! Also I’m kinda talking about comic book Summer and show Summer (s)
So, as I stated up top, love her but when I started watching the show I didn’t like her too much (she was okay but I thought she was going to be flat stereotypical teen girl)But that was beginning season 1 (which she was a side character) and then Season 2 came along and I said “Hell yeah, she cool” and I started really loving her as a character! Wasteland Summer was also cool to see and I was sad to see her frozen with not much more exploration on her character.
Hmmm as much as I ship and love to do so…I really don’t with Summer. The one universe in the comics where she’s a lesbian I totally support and I low key ship the crackship with the car. Other then that though I think she’s doing well on her own. I personally don’t ship her with Ethan since based on what’s seen not really compatible (of course when did I care compatibility-Eh I just don’t see enough substance for em). I’ve seen a few arts with her and Jessica which is cute but not really my taste either.
Now to non romantic relationship-
Well I feel like her and Rick get along well in the end, whether that’s good or bad I’m not sure, but I really enjoy her relationship with Beth? Like at first it sucked, it really really sucked. But I feel as though it got progressively better (especially the end episode where they’re shopping and doing daughter mom things). I hope to see the relationship in the next season and even her to grow a stronger bond with her dad as well (since that ones been shaky too. Honestly she doesn’t have stable relationships with anyone platonic and romantic which Is sad)
Unpopular opinion…
Hmm a lot of people show her as badass (which I love me some good ol fighten Sum Sum) But some people, when doing so, make her exactly like Rick. Now I’m not disagreeing she has some parallels to him (she definitely does especially showcased in season 3) but I think people need to remember she IS a different person. She CAN be a genius and strong and whatever but she will approach situations with her own twist! I also see (in fics mostly) them blow Summer off completely or make her stereotypical teen (doesn’t talk to anyone about anything ever, always grochy, and if does appear in said fic is just on her phone) which is an interpretation that I don’t care for.
Hmm, again explore more her relationship with her family (asside from Rick since I think that has been showcased in Season 2 and 3 a lot). Maybe even her teen/school life since she doesn’t blow off school as much as Morty does.
Fav friendship, hands down her and Morty. I feel like, at times, the top can work really well together (although not always- but that’s the complication with relations thier not always perfect). I also hope in future eps she makes some cool alien friends or something. I think that would be fun!
Crossover ship? Ehhhhh? Her and Wendy from Gravity Falls? I saw it once (or twice?) in fic/art and they seem pretty decent together. They would make a nice couple and also I think they’d also be pretty good friends! Yeah badass red heads unite!
BATIM!!!! Oooooooo boy! Also I’ll be doing lil more descriptions for the characters then RnM one since your less familiar with these characters 😊
Fav character, that is tricky. Staying strictly to canon game Wally (pure janitor boy) or Bertrum (local narssarsist finds someone who’s got an even bigger ego and now thier partners or AKA the octopus ride). I like Wally because throughout the whole game he’s got tapes and they’re always nice and cheerful which is a nice lil break (or poik(perk) as he’d say) from the horror and darkness. Also the whole probable he’s Perfect Boris just makes him better (I love Boris). And Bertrum; well for one he’s an annoying cool mini boss, I like that both him and Joey had big egos but he had one AND he seemed like a decent guy, cool design in general, and he’s got his motavations figured out Joey gipped him and now Joey’s gotta pay. As for everyone’s interpretation and also my personal hc? All of them! Even that bastard Joey!
No least fav’s. Some times I don’t like certain people’s interpretation of a character but I really like them all. If I had to pick one I’d say Allison since I felt in cannon she was a bit bland. But really in cannon we didn’t have much to go off of many of the characters.
Fav ships (in no particular order btw and one more then said but whatever)
Henry X Joey (like how can you not ship the protagonist and antagonist? Doesn’t every fandom do that? But honestly why else would you come back to mean bosses’ studio after 30 years if you two hadn’t dated or at least had a lil but more then a friendship. Also angst train woot woo).
Sammy X Suzie (ahhhh. I love em so much I just hsjaownjw. And it’s almost cannon and SO MUCH ANGST POSSIBLE HEHEHHE)
Tom X Alison (cannon but very cute).
Wally X Shawn (bring me the pure boys! Honestly this ship is kinda ‘random’ but also is a lil popular and has a toooonnnn if cute HC’s.).
Ink Sammy X Projectionist Norman  (I love inky angsty boys!)
Lacie X female OC ( I love when she has a noice girlfriend)
Who do I find attractive: hmmm not really anyone (in game)Like Inky Sammy buff so I guess him.
Who I’d marry: ghanakjsjsks??? Idk! No one?
Best Friend: preink-Wally, no questions. Postink- Boris (so still Wally) because I’d just hide in the safe house and play cards.
Random thought:
Unpopular Opinion: Sammy, Henry, And Joey are all around same age and they grew up together. Idk if it’s unpopular but I’ve seen a lot of times Sammy is younger then the other two.
Cannon OTP: Samsie isn’t cannon? Maybe? it’s definitely alluded to but the only thing cannon cannon is Thomas X Allison so I guess by default them.
Non Cannon: Wally X Shawn please and thank you
Badass character: based on cannon,Bertrum? Like I said he’s a heck of boss fight. Maybe Henry cause he’s had to dealt with everyone’s crap. Projectionist because he literally fist fights the ink demon. Based on personal hc Lacie.
Epic Villian: Idk if he counts as epic but Sammy was an interesting villian. I feel like he should’ve been explored more (so does the rest of the fandom) but I feel like straight up trying to sacrifice
Pairing I’m not a fan of: I used to not like Sammy X Wally but now I think it’s kinda cute. Maybe Wally X Norman just HC they have a more father son bond but I’ve seen some stories where it’s not the case sooo, it really does depend on people’s personal story. I also don’t care for Alice X Bendy (but some content of them is cute and I still enjoy some of it).
Character I feel like they screwed up: Sammy they didn’t do to much with even though he had a lot of potential. Same with Allison and Thomas who were kinda just bland especially Allison.
Character I identify with: when hc I project a lot on Wally but i don’t identify with anyone imparticular.
Character I wish I could be: I’m going to take this as if I could be one of the toons (and not in game toons, since I’d be trapped and I’d rather not) Boris. Who wouldn’t want to be a wolf who just eats all day. Or Edgar (spider boy) because he’s so cute!
