this might be weird to ask on a writing blog but do you have any manga recs?
yeah i got some recs! i'm gonna assume you mean less talked about titles rather than more well-known but quickfire popular recs i have are: chainsaw man, fullmetal alchemist, jjba, fruits basket, jjk and hell's paradise. but onto my other recs:
seinen
children of the sea**: a troubled teen named ruka embarks on the summer adventure of a lifetime after meeting two boys raised by dugongs at her dad's aquarium in the middle of a mysterious event taking place in the ocean.
the summer hikaru died: it's been months since yoshiki's childhood friend and secret crush, hikaru, went missing in the mountains for a week. hikaru's the same as usual, with his jokes and silly rambles and yet, yoshiki can't shake the feeling that whoever came back from that mountain, it wasn't hikaru. much to his horror, it wasn't. but rather than face reality and grief, yoshiki decides to play along with "hikaru's" act (body horror)
dorohedoro**: in a world where there are humans and magic users, humans have it rough being virtually treated as second class citizens. day after day, year after year, magic users come to the human realm to experiment on them with their magic. and after having his head turn into a caiman, kaiman, wants to get it back in blood and have his true form restored (body horror)
witch hat atelier*: in a world full of magic and witches, it's always been normal human girl coco's dream to be one. but after accidentally discovering a truth of this world and her mom getting caught up in the spell, coco becomes an apprentice of witch qifrey. (it was recently announced there's an anime in the works!)
skip & loafer**: desiring to become a government official to revitalize her hometown in the japanese countryside, iwakura mitsumi's first step to accomplish this goal is by going to a uni prep high school in tokyo. she's got a foolproof 10-step plan to boot! but of course, life hardly ever goes as plan, not even for a prodigy (mc's aunt has great trans rep)
jousei
sign of affection*: as someone deaf all her life, yuki has dealt with discrimination in both small and broad strokes. nor has she ever experienced romance. this all changes when she meets backpacker itsumi, a guy who goes to the same uni. just as he opens her world, she opens his
debu to love to ayamachi to***: after waking up in a hospital with no memories to her name, plus sized yumeko is told she is there after surviving a suicide attempt. the thing is, yumeko isn't sure why when she's just so beautiful! with a strong desire to live life to the fullest, yumeko decides to do everything the past her was to afraid to do. all the while it is revealed that her suicide attempt was more of an attempted murder... but who could have wanted to kill her?
my love story with yamada-kun at lv999**: nothing is worse than getting cheated on especially after akane invested a lot of time and energy into her shitty ex's gaming hobbies. but through gaming, not only does akane find herself healing, she managed to get herself a pretty cool boyfriend too
NANA**: 2 women, 2 different lives, 1 name shared. komatsu nana is quick to fall in love and after a series of less-than-lucky relationships, she finally has someone she thinks is the one. abandoned by her mother and her ex leaving her band, osaki nana hasn't had the easiest life. but on the same night, on the same train, these two women meet and their lives become deeply intertwined
shoujo
a condition called love*: when it comes to romance, hotaru's never experienced it besides stories of her friends relationships. but she soon finds herself about to experience the whirlwind of a lifetime when hananoi, the most popular boy in school, asks her to be his girlfriend
a bouquet for an ugly girl***: as her class' resident big girl, hana isn't expecting a blossoming spring in her high school career. and she's okay with that. she has everything she needsー otome games and gardening. but after her class' pretty boy catches her in the midst of changing the class flowers, their lives become a bit more intertwined
uruwashi no yoi no tsuki: yoi is quite popular at her school because of her neat short hair, beautiful face and overall princely appearance. in fact, it's gotten her dubbed 'prince' many times. but when the other prince of the school finally meets her, cupid's arrow quickly knocks him on his ass
shounen
frieren**: a manga that picks up after the journey has ended. the demon king has been defeated and the heroes have saved the day after 10 years of traveling together. 10 years? that's not even a 10th of elf mage frieren's life. but as her companions begin dying one by one of old age, she finds herself desiring to learn more about humans and the short yet impactful lives they still manage to have
dungeon meshi*: when a dungeon raid goes terribly wrong and laios' sister gets swallowed by a dragon, those that remain in his party decide to get it back in blood by saving laios' sister before she gets digested. in the mean time, there's nothing wrong with gordon ramsay-ing miscellaneous ingredients found in the dungeon along the way, right?
and if you like manhwa or would be down for some manhwa recs these are titles i don't see getting recommended enough
concubine walkthrough: a scifi & philosophical spin on the otome isekai genre that asks 'what is reality truly?', 'is your life any less real if you found out all your experiences were a simulation?' and 'what is reality to you?' where protagonist lee yona finds herself stuck in a VR edition of a game she only played once
a wicked tale of cinderella's stepmother: usually when someone wakes up in the body of a villainess, she's the same age as the protagonists. mildred, on the other hand, is stuck in the body of this story's cinderella's stepmother. with no husband and three daughters to take care of, there's only one thing she can really doー build up her daughters' sisterly bonds with one another and make sure they marry into good families (or that they can at least live lives they're happy with)
tricked into becoming the heroine's stepmother: at least mildred got the body of an important character, daisy on the other hand? she's in the body of an NPC you never even see in the story. bright side? this is a story she helped write and after meeting the presently six year old protagonist's father, she and father of the year decide to team up for the ultimate mission: making sure his daughter never meets any of the love interests
inso's law: ham dan-i is in a bit of a pickle when she wakes up and her new school uniform is completely different than the one her mom bought weeks ago. there's a drop dead gorgeous girl next door who claims to be her childhood best friend. even worse, like something straight out of a drama, there are four heavenly kings that rule her school. by the end of the day, dan-i has no other choice but to accept the fact........ her real life has somehow turned into a web novel. even worse, she's a side characterー the main character's best friend
webtoons
plum: in a world where fruit stacking is a major sport, little plum decides to be the very best like no one ever was and moves to the big city to compete in the fruit stacking games along with making some friends and rivals along the way
webtoons that are probably popular enough if they have hardcover copies at my local bookstore but i wanna talk about it anyway
cursed princess club: as the youngest princess of the pastel kingdom, gwendolyn loves her family. her protective papa, her oldest sister maria who often awakes to woodland creatures doing her hair. her older sister lorena who makes flowers bloom with her every step. and her younger brother jamie who's so pretty, he sparkles. and they adore her just as much. but things come to a very reality shattering halt when their father introduces maria, lorena and gwen to blaine, lance and frederick, the princes of the plaid kingdom and gwen overhears frederick call her ugly, something she's never heard in her entire life. somehow, gwen finds comfort in a club full of cursed princesses (and one prince) who teach her how to start loving herself again

You. How do you think Kyojuro would react if Senjuro, Zohakuten and Rui were friends? (Some ppl that includes me like to think they're friends :3)
I can’t really see them being friends in the 1920s’/the main timeline of kny, but in the Kimetsu Academy I can see them being friends! Especially Rui and Zohakuten since they’re a little “edgier” to put it simply, while Senjuro is the sunshine of the group. They’d probably protect him at all costs in exchange for Senjuro spoiling them with his cooking.
If Rui and Zohakuten ever come over to visit their friend at home, Shinjuro would probably eye them suspiciously. They look like a bad influence with Zohakuten’s dark outfit and messy black hair and with Rui, who just can’t stop fiddling with strings of yarn he stuffed into his pocket. But Senjuro seems happy, his grades aren’t dropping and he comes home in time. So, what’s Shinjuro to do but to greet them and then hide away in his and Ruka’s bedroom.
Kyojuro is just happy that his little brother is making friends. He knows Rui from his work as a teacher, and he knows that he’s a quiet kid. He feels incredible pride that Senjuro managed to make friends with him! Same with Zohakuten. He was consider a troublemaker, or that’s what he heard from Giyu, but now he seems to be behaving just fine. Senjuro is such a good influence!

the leading male characters of RGU have variations on the same complex: "I failed at being a prince." however, they have their own specific versions of it, which manifest in widely different behaviors. I'll run through them, basing my account of the characters on how they were at the start of the show:
Saionji is deeply troubled by Utena's despair, but then witnesses her miraculous transformation. since Touga seems to be more mature than himself, he assumes Touga must be responsible for it. Saionji begins to feel himself a child, lacking in insight; not only was he unable to save the girl in the coffin, but he couldn't even understand her plight. having caught glimpse of a world he can't enter himself, he develops an inferiority complex, which he attempts to compensate for with old-fashioned masculinity, violence, and domination of others.
Miki gets sick, and his weakness forces Kozue to go to the concert hall alone. while she learns from this experience that she requires Miki in order to shine, he comes to the conclusion that he has committed a grave sin and destroyed the sunlight garden with his own hands. this irrational belief follows him into early adolescence, and he has somehow managed to turn it around and allot blame to Kozue as well. perhaps this is because siblings do not have strong ego boundaries, or maybe it's that Miki sees Kozue's failure to be a princess as an affront to his desire to be a prince. this becomes a vicious cycle, s ince negative attention is good enough for Kozue, who flaunts her naughty behavior to keep Miki fixated on her.
Touga is a two-faced character who outwardly projects the version of himself that he'd like to be. in actuality, though he may not be aware of it, he is a person who wishes the world was a better, fairer place and longs to alleviate suffering. however, he learned his own weakness young; to avoid the terror of powerlessness, he is willing to do just about anything. as Saionji believes Touga saved Utena, Touga believes Akio saved Utena, and so he models himself on him. on one level, he maintains a cynical worldview in which he is justified on acting however he pleases because he has gained power, but on another (deeply buried) level, he hopes he will become a prince and set things right. unfortunately for him, his behavior is contradictory with that goal and will only serve to enforce the status quo.
Akio is like a monstrous combination of the previous three, with one crucial difference: Akio no longer actually wishes to be a prince. he may mourn his failure, but that's a form of narcissism; he doesn't even have the commitment to despair. rather, his "sadness" is a grand show in which he is the leading character. does he have a lingering spark of care for Anthy? perhaps, but he only calls it forth for the purposes of manipulation. long ago, his weakness caused Anthy immense suffering, suffering which has never ceased since. as eternity stretched on, Akio began to think to himself, "isn't this actually her fault? she's the reason I'm no longer a prince; she stole my beloved self from me. and what's more, she isn't a princess, which means she deserves this. in fact, doesn't she actually want this? yes, it's true: both of us love the way things are, and so she will always help me to keep them this way. why, I'm so magnanimous that I'll forgive her for starting this, even though it's so hard for me to bear living in my fallen state." thus, to Akio, being a failure of a prince is a sublime torture, and the scab he's grown over his original wound has calcified, not healing but rotting what's underneath.
the question now is where does Utena fit into this schema? I don't think she's in line with the characters listed above, since she's not living her life based on a failure, but instead on determination to suceed. in that way, I think she's most similar to Ruka, at least in outlook. Ruka tries to be a prince through manipulation and coercion, which is of course doomed to failure, but he is staking his life on his desire to be a prince. Utena, after overcoming her own hurdles, does the same.
#i could have described Mikage too bc i think he has a prince complex at least in part#but his deal is a bit different and also it wouldnt have added much (read my Mikage essay for full description of his issues)#rgu#commentary#idk if other ppl see Touga as i describe him but thats how he is to me

Masterlist of Flame and Water
Weeks had passed and as cheesy as it might sound, you were on cloud nine not able to take your eyes off each other. The other was always present, whether mentally or physically. Your time together was one of the most beautiful moments in your life, always present with each other, whether mentally or physically, and it was so unreal how each day could be better than the day before. You made the best of it knowing about the life of a Slayer and how quickly it could end. Which was why the decision to become Kyojuro’s Tsugoku was easy for you to decide. To make it official, you both sent your Kasugai crows, Shimizu and Kaname, to Giyuu and Ubuyashiki, respectively, to inform them. Ubuyashiki approved the joint missions and thus the time together.
So it surprised you that such an introverted person that you were, was perfectly fine with spending 24/7 with such an energetic and extroverted person. It should exhaust you, but you enjoyed the time with him and were happier than ever. You were thankful that you now knew everything about your past, even if meeting Shinjuro ended in chaos, because now you were able to handle your fear of flames better than before.
In your training sessions, it didn't count that you were together. The training with Kyojuro continued to stay hard and your teacher, and boyfriend, was merciless as usual. You could really see and feel the results and one day it finally happened. You managed to use the flame breathing. You cried out in surprise at your first success, just to drop your bokken to jump into Kyojuro's arms, beaming with joy. It was a big success for you and also for him a dream come true. The dream of a Tsuguko who could use flame breathing. But neglecting water breathing was out of the question for you as it was a crucial part of your being. You would learn to use both of them in combination and you did after endless hours of training. Flame and water were now in harmony.
"If you keep it up like that you'll surpass me, my water lily! Or should I call you now my little flame?" He laughed when he stepped towards you to give you a kiss on your temple.
"I will never be able to surpass you, since you are my eternal flame." You surprised him with a kiss on his lips before giggling and pulling away so you both could continue with the training.
Water lily was a term of endearment that he came up with during a little picnic at a nearby lake to the Rengoku estate. Senjuro was there too and the boy seemed really attached to you. You couldn't blame him since you were the first female role model in his life and he was still so young and innocent. The food was delicious and the conversation delightful. Kyojuro fished a water lily out of the lake to put the flower in your hair and then gently caressed your cheek. "You are as beautiful and pure as this water lily..." Words he whispered into your ear before giving you a soft kiss on the ear.
Senjuro had watched the interaction between the both of you with bright eyes. "I know I have no recollection of mother, but you two give me hope that mother and father were just as loving towards each other."
You and Kyojuro locked eyes just before turning to Senjuro. You didn't know much about Ruka because Kyojuro didn't talk much about her. Except that she was the one who taught him her strong morals. You admired the woman who made Kyojuro the man you love so much today and at the same time you were sad that you would never have the opportunity to get to know her.
Kyojuro turned away from you to turn towards Senjuro, taking his small hands in his big calloused ones. "Father and mother loved each other very much, which is also the reason for father's long-lasting grief."
Kyojuro's words gave you something to think about and you slowly came to understand the bitter man you hadn't seen anymore after the one confrontation. His love for his wife must have been so strong that he had to numb the pain of her loss with alcohol. Unfortunately, alcohol changes people for the worse. Your thoughts were interrupted by Kyojuro's next words. "I know you were too young when your mother died, but if you want to imagine her, watch Y/N. She is just as wise, gentle and graceful as mother was." He turned his face to you and gave you a soft smile.
Senjuro's eyes radiated a childish delight as his gaze darted back and forth between you and his brother. "You have no idea how happy that makes me, Aniue. That Y/N is now part of our family too, as a big sister." Big tears rolled down his cheeks and you too felt the tears dwelling at the corner of your eyes.
You moved up to the two boys and hugged them lovingly like a mother would. "Yes, we will always stay together..."
So the nickname Water Lily not only stood for the love Kyojuro had for you, but also for the new and fresh family bond that had also developed between the three of you. You held it and the meaning behind it dear to you because it was full of love and affection.
~~~
Kyojuro brought out the best in you and thanks to him you became more open and no longer afraid to express your feelings without fear of being judged for it. He always gave you the feeling as you were the most special thing in this world. He had influenced you, but your nature also influenced him. He allowed himself to be sad every now and then, and talk about the things he couldn't even think about. It was as if fire and water complemented each other and made the most of their properties. You were like Yin and Yang. You couldn't do it without each other and you were also a very good team in combat.
So it wasn't difficult to kill this one strong demon that was raging in Kyojuro's area. Nevertheless, both of you were too exhausted to start the return journey immediately. So you entered a hostel that immediately recognized you as the people, who had rescued them, and gave you the best room with a private onsen for free. It was too much of a thank you, but you didn't want to be so rude as to refuse the gift and a hot bath sounded just so good in both your ears.
It was a beautiful room and you couldn't decide what you wanted to see first. So you didn’t even notice how your loving but impatient boyfriend had taken off his clothes. With a wrapped towel around his waist, he pushed the door aside that headed towards the onsen.
Your cheeks turned red as you took in your boyfriend's muscular and broad back. He turned his head slightly towards you with a wide grin, not knowing what the sight of his body was doing to you. "Hope it's okay if I use the onsen first, I will hurry up so you can have it for you the whole evening!"
Your heart was in your mouth and you first had to sit down on the large bed of the room. You spent a lot of time together and when you slept you both usually shared a futon to lay in each other's arms, but you were always fully dressed and there were never indecent thoughts about it. That had now changed in one fell swoop. Your mind was now filled with suggestive images and you tried to control the flush on your face and your heart that was beating wildly in your chest. Suggestive images of naked limbs entwined together in an inappropriate way when suddenly the color drained from your face as you remembered how your own body looked like.
He was so handsome and you were just - damaged. Filled with scars and hideous burns. Kyojuro would never find you desirable. Those were the thoughts you told yourself and yet you couldn't help but think of what you just had seen. Even if you had only caught a glimpse, you had seen his scars and scratches, and there were a great number of them.
This was probably the toll of being a hashira. Then why were you so consumed by self-doubt and self-hatred? Kyojuro would never bully you about your scars or say anything about them. Still, there was the fear, the fear of seeing disgust or something else in his eyes.
You shook off any doubts and undressed yourself, not waiting any longer. Covered with a thin towel you stepped onto the cold stone outdoors with your bare feet. As quiet as your steps were, Kyojuro noticed your presence immediately and turned to you with a wide grin, only to be speechless the next moment.
“I hope it's okay if I join you?” The Flame Hashira was still speechless and could only nod. His face and body had turned red and you weren't sure if it was because of the hot water. You still feigned confidence, but on the inside, your nerves were stretched to the breaking point. You slid the towel along your curves to the floor and used your toes to feel the heat of the water, only the next moment to slowly immerse yourself until your breasts and entire lower body were covered under the water.
There was a short, awkward silence where you both didn't dare to look at each other. Too embarrassed of this new situation you forced on the both of you. You were about to open your mouth to say something when he opened his mouth too. Both of you immediately closed your mouth to let the other finish, but now you were lulled into silence again.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been so impatient. I'll wait for you to finish-"
"No!" You were already standing up with your upper body. Kyojuro's eyes fell on your breasts and his cheeks turned a deeper shade of red. "No, please don't go!" And so you sank back into the water and silence surrounded you and no sight of relaxation. Only this time Kyojuro dared to stare at you.
"Kyojuro... You are staring..." you began to whisper, cheeks flushed.
“I am sorry- I just can’t keep my eyes from you.”
The smile on your lips turned bitter, because you knew exactly why he was staring. It was the same reason why you wanted to avoid it. “I know I look hide-”
"- beautiful..." He didn’t let you finish the word, knowing what you wanted to say. He looked at you so sincerely, so full of desperate love. "Can I come closer...?" He was so careful and gentle with his question that it brought tears to your eyes.
You nodded slightly. “You never have to ask.” He slowly approached you, just to take your face in his hand and kiss you on the lips.
It was a soft and tender kiss and you both sighed into the kiss before breaking and leaning your foreheads against each other. His gaze wandered to your left shoulder where the brand mark started. It went over your left arm to your elbow. Your right side and breasts were unharmed but not the right part of your stomach - it went over to your back which was completely scarred, like your left leg.
With cautious fingers he ran down your shoulder to your arm, fascinated by the different texture of the skin. Kyojuro looked worried. "I'm not hurting you, right?" He'd stopped immediately when he thought about the possibility of hurting you.
You shook your head. "No.."
“Do they still hurt?” There was no pity in his voice, only concern and curiosity. His hand stroked your skin again and you slowly dared to touch him too. Your hand ran down his strong shoulders along his arms where you felt the strong biceps. You felt his tremble and saw how he enjoyed it, which is why you didn't stop.
“It did hurt in the past. Sometimes it still does, especially when I feel stressed or troubled. Then the skin feels tight. Especially the back, that’s where it's the worst.”
He looked at you with an undefined look. "May I...?"
You just nodded wordlessly and turned around, taking your hair and draping it over your shoulder.
You waited patiently, letting him take in the image of your scarred back, knowing it wasn't something he saw every day probably. You were about to say something when you suddenly felt the searing heat of his lips on your back. A shudder ran down your spine and you tried to stifle the whimper that came out of your mouth. Especially when you felt his hands on your waist, holding you steady while his mouth worked up along your spine only to stop at your neck and take a deep breath. "Your scent... It's so intoxicating to me. Sweeter than any sweet potato..." he chuckled before sinking his face back into the hollow between your neck and shoulder and nibbled at the skin. His hands had meanwhile wandered higher up to your breasts. Your whimper turned to a moan as you felt his large calloused hand slowly and deliberately kneading your breasts.
"I can stop anytime…” Kyojuro groaned more than talked and you could hear the desire in his voice. With what kind of self-control would he stop now? It all felt way too good, you just wanted to look at him. As if he had read your mind, he turned you around and grabbed your face with both hands and kissed you so hard that you couldn't breathe.
“Are you sure you are able to stop anytime?” Your both foreheads touched each other while gasping for air. There was a teasing undertone in your voice and while you both took a breath your hands were not able to keep still. Your hands caressed along his big muscular chest, that he seems to hide well while under the slayer uniform. You've never felt anything like desire for another person, but the sight of him made your mouth water. And before you could even think your lips were on his skin, kissing and nibbling along his pec. You heard a hiss coming out between his teeth and you immediately stopped to look up.
His face was red, but not in pain. “If you keep teasing me like this, then I can’t guarantee anything, my water lily.”
“Oh- Was it too much?” You immediately pulled your hands away and stepped back. That means you wanted to step back, but he immediately had his hands on your waist, pulling you flush against him.
“No, please don’t stop touching me…” You looked up at him and realized something. Namely that Kyojuro was apparently touch-starved. It made sense when you consider how he was raised. So it was not really a surprise.
“I won’t…” you smiled and laid your hands on his face, pulling him down for a deep kiss.
At one point Kyojuro had carried you from the onsen to the bed. You kept your promise and your hands did not leave his body, touching everywhere where you could reach. You lay there entwined and he worshiped every part of your body, from head to toe. Praising them with words and kisses to let you know how much he loved you.
"I never did this with anyone else before. I should feel nervous and unsure, but with you it just feels right. It seems like my body and soul knows what to do.” And he was right. You didn’t feel nervous even though it was the first time for both of you. You both just let your feelings and your love guide you. Now and then there were moments when you both had to laugh about some mishaps, but it brought you both only closer.
There was a little bit of restraint at the beginning, but his kisses and words soothed the sharp quick pain. Your bodies were connected and it was like you both were one soul.
~~~
You lay exhausted on his chest, both of your hair were totally disheveled. It was good that you were both trained Slayers and had more stamina than normal people. So it was possible for both of you to get through 1-2 more rounds after getting a taste for how good sex really felt, but now you had reached your limit.
Your fingers drew lazy circles on his chest and surveyed all the small scars that adorned his body. For every scar there was a story he told you. It was exciting to listen to and it only made him more beautiful in your eyes. “How are those scars make you sexier while mine are just plain ugly. Though those old scars on my body are probably the only reminder to my past.”
"You are not your scars my love.”
“I know I just think I look hideous. How do you even still love me after seeing them?” You said it half-jokingly and laughed as you went, but one look at Kyojuro was enough to see that he didn't find it funny. His everlasting smile was gone. He grabbed your hand and kissed every fingertip.
“Never say something like this about yourself again. You are so beautiful, it frustrates me that you can’t see your own beauty. Y/N, look at me. Would you stop loving me if I lost an eye or adorn a huge scar on my torso?”
“Kyojuro don't say things like that! Of course I would! I- I am sorry... It's hard to let go of old habits. But I will try to see myself through your eyes.”
“I don’t ask for more.” You had looked into his eyes and saw his unconditional love for you. There was not a spark of doubt in it and as hot as the fire was, so was his love for you.
~~~
"Is this really the same person we met months ago? She seems so different so-"
"Kyaa! So adorable!" You heard the pink-haired girl squeak and interrupt the tall man who was the Sound Pillar.
“Y/N, you really seem like a different person. I am glad that you feel better.” Kocho gave you a soft smile.
“Who cares! Most important is if she can fight and not run away as soon as she sees Rengoku! Where is he actually?” Shinazugawa's gaze pierced you, but you just stared at him without moving.
“You are right. Was he not the one who called for this meeting?”
“Apologies for the delay! I had Senjuro wrap up some food for us as I have something important to announce!” Some rolled their eyes in exasperation until they heard his next words. “Y/N and I are getting married!” And left everyone flabbergasted. Your heart had already jumped up happily when he stood next to you and put his strong arm around your waist and gave you a kiss on the cheek in greeting.
After a brief silence of shock, you were immediately bombarded with questions. Kyojuro laughed, remaining vague on some of the answers and you started to blush under the sudden attention of them all.
Yes, your beloved Kyojuro didn't wait long to pop the question, adding that he didn't see the point of waiting long, since he already knew that you were the only person he would love in his life and that he wanted to grow old with you with a lot of children. You had laughed at the sudden change and about this wonderful fantasy of his that might come true in the future. With tears of happiness you agreed to his proposal and became his fiance.
All in all it was a beautiful day. The engagement of the two of you was celebrated with the food that Kyojuro brought, although some were reluctant to participate. But overall it was a nice distraction from the mundane of a Demon Slayer which was all about death and grief.
"So that's why you're Rengoku-san's Tsuguko?" Giyuu joined you, while you watched the love of your life laughing and talking to Tengen about something.
“No, not just because of that.” Your gaze wandered over to your old master. “He taught me to come out of myself. I am no longer haunted by the things that have happened to me. I am no longer ashamed that I am alive.”
"Yes, I see that. You look happier."
"I am," you gave him a soft smile. "Giyuu, you too deserve to be happy." No matter what the other Hashiras thought about the Water Pillar, he was still an important person to you, you might even say he was like an elder brother to you and he deserved to be freed from his personal demons. You wished for it with all your heart.
Days passed, missions were done together, until you sustained an injury. You had broken your arm and even more shameful was how it happened. It hadn't happened during a mission or during a brutal fight against a demon. No, it was a bright day when you and Kyojuro trained together. Senjuro had called you and that little moment of inattention had cost you.
Kyojuro didn't turn his head to him like you did, but attacked you with the bokken. In the corner of your eye you could still see the wooden sword coming towards you and you managed to dodge it, but it was so inelegant and so out of balance that you fell down on your right arm and broke it.
You were terribly embarrassed when Kyojuro panicked and carried you in his arms to the Butterfly Mansion, but you allowed it, even though you were able to walk. The arm was straightened and put in a cast and it was sweet to see how worried your fiancé was and yet you couldn't help but notice how nervous he was seeing you like this.
With your uninjured hand you took his and squeezed lightly. "Hey, I'm fine. Only, my sword arm is broken, which means we can't do any missions together right now."
"Yeah, I understand..." His voice was quiet, his face looked distant and now you were really worried. You put your hand on his cheek and brought him back to the here and now. "Sorry, my water lily... I was just thinking about my mother in her final days of sickness.”
“Oh Kyojuro…” You pulled him closer to you to give him a tight hug. “I am okay, it’s only broken. In a few weeks I will be okay. Look, in the meantime I can plan our wedding if you want, since I am not able to train much.”
"That sounds good." And there was his smile again that you loved so much.
Since it was not a complicated break, you could go right back with Kyojuro. He wanted to carry you in his arms again, but this time you firmly refused. You were too embarrassed as someone else might see it, and yet you found it incredibly sweet how he cared about you. Just like Senjuro who had apologized to you several times. You had to assure him that it wasn't his fault but just your carelessness.
You were pampered with your favorite food and everything else there was. A week passed before Kyojuro was called to a mission, alone without you.
“I don't like sending you alone on a mission, even though I know you'll come back to me safely.”
Your arm was still in a cast, making you ineligible for any missions. Your good hand smoothed his white haori over his shoulder before you rested your cheek against his chest, his strong arms holding you in a tight embrace while you listened to his strong and steady heartbeat.
Still in his embrace, Kyojuro looked down at you and gave you a soft smile. His calloused hand brushed against your cheek. You blinked slowly with a smile to indicate that you were okay, thanks to him. It was so easy to communicate with him without saying a word. It was as if an invisible and inseparable bond connected you. He leaned down, brought his face closer to yours to meet up your lips, sharing a long and passionate kiss that made you both flush in desire.
You bit your lip and looked up shyly. "Do you have to go immediately? Maybe we could- I mean who knows how many weeks this mission will take…”
You heard his low chuckle and felt his lips on your forehead. "If you knew how much I'd like to share the futon with you right now, but you know trains wait for no one."
~~~
The fight had been brutal and if there was any hope of victory, it was dashed when Akaza's arm pierced through his torso. But he was not saddened. Even though he hadn't managed to kill the demon, he had managed to keep everyone alive and safe and that was also a merit, right?
It was difficult for him to breathe with only one lung. The demon's arm had dissolved while he was saying his last words to the Kamado boy he had grown so fond of in such a short time.
“I want you to tell my little brother Senjuro to take the path that he thinks is right, to follow his heart. And tell my father to take care of himself…” He tried not to breathe too deeply and paused as his strength was slowly fading while pain in his chest was excruciating. "And please tell my Y/N not to grieve too much and to feel free to let me wait in the afterlife. I will be waiting for her." He was sad for the moment knowing how much his water lily will grieve for him, but he knows that she was strong.
He could feel the blood oozing and turning the ground around him red. He saw his mother once more before closing his eyes with a smile, before he woke up again with a loud gasp.
His face was panicked as the young history student clutched at his chest, feeling bewilderment over the dream of his death. He was sweating, and checked for his eye that had seemed to be smashed too.
Everything was still there.
He was healthy and alive, so why did he keep seeing those weird dreams of himself as a swordsman and his brutal death? And who was this Y/N he kept thinking of? Questions upon questions he couldn't answer in the middle of the night, only he knew that these dreams had a deeper meaning than they should have.
🌊 🔥🌊 🔥🌊 🔥🌊 🔥🌊 🔥🌊 🔥🌊 🔥🌊 🔥🌊 🔥🌊 🔥
*sighs* Damn that was hard... Even for me. This story means so much for me and I wanna thank everyone who was with me along this way. I wanna apologize to everyone too. I know that some of you might be mad at me, which is totally understandable, but please (!) stay tuned till the epilogue comes out which I will post in a few hours. Than you may understand why I chose this route.
Big thanks to my lovely friend @desi-the-blue-eyed-kakushi for beta reading and editing who thinks that I am the incarnation of evil for writing this. (I know you still love me.)
Also don't forget to check out the playlist I made for Flame and Water. It will set the mood for the epilogue

Hi! I’m crazy shy about this but I have a NSFW oneshot prompt with the archons (Ruka not Nahida for dendro obviously) but I only have ideas for the first three so I wanted to share it… please don’t hate me…
All vision holders suddenly went missing, on the same day Celestia informed the archons that they’re sending down a god whose been kept in captivity. Most archons wonder if the two events are related, many worry that this god is supposed to replace one of them.
1. Venti was told the god would travel to each nation, starting with Mondstadt. He hopes to endear himself to this new god in hopes they won’t kill and replace him. As he’s waiting at Stormbearer Point, cecilia petals fall from the sky and completely coat the ground. From the petals emerges a girl wearing a white frilly lace-covered corset romper whose hair ombrés into glowing pink. Her god name is Asmodeus, but goes by Y/N, she is the goddess of fertility. She’s nervous and asks to go somewhere more private where she tells Venti that Celestia sent her to complete a mission. The vision holders where kidnapped and murdered by the abyss, Celestia managed to obtain their souls and wants Y/N to birth new bodies for them… but they want to make them more powerful by infusing their bodies with the power of their element, however, this would require Y/N to procreate with each archon. Venti is disgusted by the idea, by Celestia, and is initially disgusted by Y/N until he discovers she is being forced, bound by celestial chains which get tighter and hotter the more she resists or is unsuccessful. Venti pities her and is very kind, comforting and gentle with the poor traumatized girl.
2. Venti informs Zhongli before Y/N shows up, Zhongli starts off very hesitant, but instincts take over and he gets a little… rough, when breeding her. Wholesome aftercare ensues.
3. Ei is also told ahead of time by Venti, and her genitalia changes upon meeting the goddess. This makes extremely uncomfortable and it takes her a bit to get into it, however, once Y/N has birthed new bodies and recreated all the electro vision holders, Ei kidnaps her and tries to force her to revive Makoto by birthing her a new body, however, Y/N refuses as it’s morally wrong and she doesn’t have access to Makoto’s soul.
That’s my only ideas for now, but Zhongli and Venti would have to save her and deliver her to Rukkhadevata, and Y/N would eventually have to go through all archons.
bestie I have been thinking about this ask for days now and I love it
Venti's relationship with Celestia is strained at the best of times, and he's furious that they would force someone into a situation like this, but after seeing how much pain his refusal is causing you, he changes his mind. He's careful and tender, all soft touches and gently rocking his hips against yours, kissing your tears away and whispering promises of safety into the crook of your neck. When he cums, the pain of the celestial chains subsides a little, and he helps you clean up with a sad smile.
Zhongli, on the other hand, whilst also being furious at Celestia, is a dragon who has been thrown a piece of meat, and it gets harder and harder for him to resist. Then, he finally snaps, and apologises profusely as he flips you onto your knees, lifting your ass in the air with ease and thrusting in as deep as he can go all at once. He's too far gone to control his movements, too eager to pump you full of his seed, but in the afterglow he makes sure to kiss your bruises and apologise for his loss of control.
And Ei....bestie I don't even know what to add, she's petty and possessive and maybe a little yandere here? And I'm so into it <3 I cannot write for female characters but I love your interpretation of her
thank you so much for putting this in my inbox ;;-;;

Ruka sparked a flame in Kyojuro which in turn kept Senjuro warm and managed to maintain it's glow against all odds, even till his last moments. This inspired Tanjiro, who carried the same flame within him until they achieved victory.

i love kozue please talk to me about kozue
OMG YAY!! Alr. I have to pull up some of my notes from my last rewatch
So it actually took me quite a bit to really appreciate Miki and Kozue's character arcs because theirs is arguably the most subtle out of the the entire cast (which I understand may not be saying a whole lot, as Utena emphasizes a visual approach to storytelling, where everything is more or less completely out in the open for the viewer to relish-- it's just up to the audience to decide what those symbols mean). The thing that tripped me up about Kozue is that you can't really understand her until you've understood Miki, since her whole narrative niche hinges on her relationship with her brother, and of course given RGU's egalitarian disposition in regards to textual intent, however you've understood Miki will then inevitably color your perception of Kozue. That said! I don't think it's a completely one-sided dynamic, because of course Miki is impacted by Kozue's actions all the time. I just think there's a stricter analytical chronology to dissecting the twins, and that's a departure from the rest of the series' writing, and it makes them stand out a bit more.
Blue is assigned to three characters over the course of the series: Miki, Kozue, and then Ruka. Any thematic commonalities, though, appear to be entirely lacking at first glace; after all, all their personalities and archetypes are oppositional to each other. I definitely had a hard time figuring out this one, but I think my primary (and preliminary) conclusion as to their point of contention has to do with their status as accessory characters. Ruka appears with Juri as a masculine foil, Miki's own status as a member of the student council is consistently undermined by the greater authority of those around him, and Kozue attaches her social worth to her promiscuity. Of these three, Kozue exclusively is a woman, in addition to which she is in the transitional period of adolescence along with Miki, kind of representing an ambivalent force among Ohtori's constructs. She doesn't fully belong to any class of Ohtori's residents. Sure, she has a leaning, but it's just that-- a tendency set up to exacerbate extremity. It's also the binary complement to Miki's own nuances (here we can get into RGU's exploration of Childlike Purity but that deserves its own essay lol; the point I'm trying to get across is whatever Miki is, Kozue represents the other face of the coin).
The bulk of what I managed to gather from Kozue's character actually comes from her duel song, Utopian Paste Tense Incantation. The lyrics lay on really hard with nostalgic imagery and diction.
From this.
We can grasp the core tenant of her character motivation, that being that she's wanting to return to the past when she was figuratively and literally a child, presumably to before the incident with the failed piano recital (parallel that I haven't quite managed to place is the one related to sickness. Miki and Ruka both lost their metaphorical "other" because of illness. Hm). Here, the desire to return to the past is metaphorical in nature-- obviously she doesn't want to turn back time, she wants to replicate their past dynamic, reclaim her innocence, undo metamorphosis, reject the expectations of change the world demands of her.
**Note: The 7-5-3 referenced in some of the lyrics is referring to a Japanese rite of passage and annual festival celebrating the lives of children. Traditionally, girls aged 3 and 7, as well as 5 year old (occasionally 3 year old) boys undergo a ceremony that demarcates their transition into adolescence and womanhood/manhood. Here's the Wikipedia page on it if you're interested
But THIS. This is the catcher
There's a passing mention of an amusement park, which we come to associate with Akio.
The amusement park is the place where fantasies thrive. Its attractions are bound for the same path each and every time. There's no change at an amusement park, no revolution-- only the burden of comfort. And here is the fool who rides a carousel of violence round and round for eternity, the fallen prince. Kozue's own childhood with Miki was like this, and whether it's riding a merry-go-round or playing to his brother's naivete, she keeps herself going around in circles, chasing after a prince who always had his back to her.
Kozue's resentment is mutual- Miki does not approve of her sexual activity and projects his own ideal of the past onto Anthy- but it is not inhibiting. Rather, it is passive, and most of it manifests as self-hatred. She's manipulative, not in the way that she means to hurt Miki as a form of vengeance, but in the way that she advertises a very specific persona of herself to Miki. She's performing the role those around her demand from her (princess), to seek confirmation that somewhere in Miki is the brother who she believed was kind, gentle, and chivalrous. It's fear-- she's driven by the fear that Miki will completely reject her. She was abandoned once, after the recital, and she slipped out of one phase of her life into another. But surely, surely, Miki would still take her back, right? He hasn't changed like she did (or so, I suppose she believes). Her pursuit of an incestuous relationship is the apex of her complex-- it's unhealthy and mired in presumptions of intimacy that aren't conducive to her actually getting any closer to her brother. Similarly with the other sibling pairs, we see this type of sexual abuse used as a way to spotlight the harm that stems from endorsing the caricatures of masculinity and femininity that we're conditioned to view as desirable.
Kozue presses her own vision of the past onto Miki as much as he does to her. He's her "shining thing", her relic of nostalgic antiquity. And therein is their tragedy, wanting to move on in totally different ways, unable to see eye to eye, believing in a flawed history that was never there to begin with. Neither of them want to face the future and place blame on themselves for the loss of a memory that was never once genuine. They're birds who refuse to leave behind their nest, their birdcage. And I think the most fascinating element is the conclusion for Kozue's part of the story, in the scene at the end of Miki's Nest Box, where she finally calls out Miki for being a "coward" and walks away from him, leaving him to finish the nest box on his own. I interpreted that as being symbolic of her finally discarding her own preconceptions of Miki and coming to see him for who he is rather than merely as an extension of her personhood, disavowing the connotations of princeliness she'd come to expect from her brother. He cost them the duel and their attempt at reclaiming their past because of her intrusion on his idealistic fabrications, and seeing firsthand just how fragile his worldview was allowed her to break through her own.
There's so much I haven't addressed, but this is the gist of what I think she's all about? Do add more if you have any thoughts of your own! I will say. Common misconception for Kozue I see frequently is that she's actively aggressive towards Miki because she doesn't like him for reasons ranging from "she doesn't like being objectified by Miki" to "she's been irreversibly hurt emotionally by the incident with the recital" (and that Miki doesn't like Kozue because she simply doesn't fit into his own ideal of femininity). The objection here being the correlation of causality, as I don't necessarily think that Miki's objectification or even the recital are what *caused* Kozue to behave more coldly towards her brother. I hope my train of logic makes sense here because I tried my darndest to shoot down this specific misconception... uhmm. This took a long time to write LOL

Hit me with your favorite 5Ds headcanons 👀
Okay so I’ve used/alluded to some of these in my fics already, but that’s just because I love them that much (also it was really hard deciding which are my favourite headcanons):
Crow swears the most out of the boys, but has an almost supernatural ability to completely shut his swearing off the second children are around (unless he’s really flustered)
Though I’ve kinda hinted at something like it before, Jack isn’t actually the worst cook at the Poppo Time. Bruno is. Because Jack knows what good food is supposed to taste like (having been a star duellist for a while and all) and can reasonably guess how to approximate those flavours—he just doesn’t cook because he doesn’t have the patience to learn any technique whatsoever (or clean up after himself when he’s done). Meanwhile, Bruno just can’t cook. Straight up. It’s not a matter of wanting or not wanting to, if you try tasking this man with anything more difficult than preparing cup ramen he will burn something. Guaranteed.
Bruno and Yusei don’t have the same mechanical skillset. Bruno is almost 100% specialised only to runners, and at that, he’s slightly better than Yusei. But Yusei’s advantage is that he knows how to fix almost everything else (provided it’s mechanical and/or electronic), too.
All three of the Satellite boys actually know how to sew a bit. Martha taught them how to mend their own clothes. The quality of their seams varies (Crow’s are the neatest because he got a lot of practice from mending his kids’ stuff, too), but they all know how to sew tears shut and mend holes.
Aki isn’t as good a gardener as one would believe with her plant theme. She likes gardening a great deal, but doesn’t have a lot of experience outside of house plants. So she could decently keep a garden alive, but would never be able to maintain something like, say, a bonsai collection or a bed of prize roses, despite her love for the activity.
I’ve written a whole post about this already, but I still adore it, so: Satellite natives, post reunion with the city, are the bane of brand phone store workers’ existence. They want everything fixed, not replaced, and trying to explain to them why that would be too complicated (whether contrived or not) usually results in them not paying a single cent and going something like “oh, forget it, I’ll just give it to the neighbour’s boy, he’ll take care of this”. This includes Yusei, who usually just ends up fixing his own stuff, and especially Crow, who has already nearly gotten in a fistfight with some tech company’s store manager upon hearing the supposed price of a repair/replacement on more than one occasion before. (He obviously just ends up handing his stuff over to Yusei, too, in the end.)
Maybe my favourite headcanon: As TCG fans know, the manga versions of the signer dragons were printed as the duel dragons. In-universe, I imagine the duel dragons were also printed—as commercial, publicly available retrains of the signer dragons, who are supposed to be one of a kind in canon. (I also use this headcanon to justify why the signers have support cards tailored specifically to their dragons—they were printed to go with the duel dragons in-universe, but allow usage with the original signer dragons as well.)
Rua/Leo isn’t actually that bad at school. He’s just not very disciplined when it comes to studying because he’d rather keep polishing up his deck.
Ruka/Luna owns several duel monsters plushies. Her favourite is, of course, her Kuribon plushie.
Carly is really good at clocking people’s vibes and figuring out their character quickly. The caveat is that this only works when she meets them face to face.
#yugioh 5ds#oh god do I really tag everyone#well maybe the main players#yusei fudo#crow hogan#aki izayoi#jack atlas#akiza izinski#rua (5ds)#ruka (5ds)#headcanons#I feel like I could write a hundred more but I don’t want this to get too long#I have so many headcanons you have no idea#ask the orchid#thank youuuu this was fun

Do You Have A List Of The Hashiras For These AUs?
💕 (Ship Swap AU), 🔥 (Fate Swap AU), 🌸 (Kamado Sibling Swap AU), 🦋 (Kamado-Kocho Swap AU), 🎀 (Kamado-Shabana Swap AU) & 🌙 (Kamado-Tsugikuni Swap AU)?
Yes, though some of them are still getting worked on and are subject to change(namely 🎀 and 🌙). But I'll do my best! I will only be specifying which Hashira actually changed, and mention who all has been kept in their original place.
Sunflowers and Thundering Fireworks/💕
Kanae Kochou, Flower Hashira
The Hashira roster for S&TF is mostly the same, the big differences being that Kanae is alive and Mitsuri and Obanai switched roles. Shinobu is still a Hashira by the main events of the series.
Ruka Rengoku was the Flame Hashira for a brief time, retiring after Kyojurou became a Hashira.
And I'm playing with the idea of Tanjirou and Nezuko becoming Hashira before Infinity Castle. With two Hashira taken out of the lineup(Kyojurou by dying, Tengen by retiring), and there being two tsuguko available to fill the empty seats. Though, this idea isn't guaranteed yet.
Scattered Embers and Broken Hearts/🔥
Tanjirou Kamado, Sun Hashira
Nezuko Kamado, Wind Hashira
Zenitsu Agatsuma, Thunder Hashira
Inosuke Hashibira, Beast Hashira
Kanao Tsuyuri, Flower Hashira
Genya Shinazugawa, Breathless/Demon Hashira
Hinatsuru Uzui, Sound Hashira
Suma Uzui, Music Hashira
Makio Uzui, Firework Hashira
Sabito, Water Hashira
Yuichirou Tokito, Moon Hashira
Sayo, Crystal Hashira
Music and Firework Breathing are both Styles derived from Thunder, and Crystal is derived from Stone.
Aoi was the Insect Hashira before the battle with Douma.
Sunlit Blossoms/🌸
The Hashira roster is the same as canon, Kyojurou just managed to survive Mugen Train. Yay!
Moonlit Butterfly/🦋
Nezuko Kamado, Flower Hashira
Giyuu Tomioka and Sabito, Dual Water Hashira
Yuichirou Tokito, Moon Hashira
Tanjirou was the Sun Hashira before his death at the hands of Kokushibo. Everyone else is in the same spot aside from Shinobu.
Burning Ribbons/🎀
Tsutako Tomioka, Water Hashira
Kanae Kochou, Flower Hashira
Hinatsuru Uzui, Song Hashira
Makio Uzui, Firework Hashira
Suma Uzui, Music Hashira
Sanemi, Gyomei, Muichirou, Obanai, Mitsuri, Kyojurou all remain in the roster.
Moon Princess, Chosen Sunlight/🌙1
Touko Agatsuma, Moon Hashira
Touko takes the spot for Muichirou, everyone else is in their usual spot.
Ashen Moonlight, Sun Goddess/🌙2
I'm still working on this one. We'll see where I go with it!

Red Hot Island - Chapter 4
[ View on site for better experience♪ ]
Location: Starmony Dorms Kitchen
Eichi: Actually… I have a request I would like to make. I wanted to ask if you would like to monitor the events at Aquaria Park.
Chiaki: ――Monitor the events at Aquaria Park?
Eichi: Yes, that’s right.
Kaoru: Aquaria Park is that large leisure pool that got built last year, right? Wow~. I didn’t know the Tenshouin conglomerate ran it.
Leo: You have pretty much everything~! What’s next? Outer space? Are you gonna land on the moon?
Eichi: A moon landing huh. It’s a not as much of a problem for me financially as it is for me physically…
Eichi: And about Aquaria Park, it originally belonged to another company. The Tenshouin conglomerate just happened to merge with it this year.
So, I didn’t get management of it until this year.
Anyways, let’s get back to the story at hand. I’m actually planning a fan event for ES.
But it’s a large-scale event. That’s why I’m thinking about doing a play test of the park as a one-day event first.
That’s why I’m asking you all to help monitor it for me.
It’s nothing too difficult. You would just enter and spend time in the park, the same as regular customers.
There’s no reward to be given, but we’ll cover all costs associated with admission.
Instead, I want your honest opinion on how you felt in the moment.
The most important part is honesty, so I would appreciate it if you wouldn’t hold back. How about it?
Chiaki: That’s… So you want all the members here to play in the pool?
Eichi: Well… Yes, that sums it up.
Chiaki: Ah, then that’s fine! If you like that kind of thing, then it’s cheap for what it’s worth ☆ Right, guys?
Kaoru: Hmm… Well yeah. It’s a bit disappointing that it’s not the ocean, but I don’t mind being at a pool, so that’s fine…
Leo: Hmm? With these members?
Chiaki: Huh? What’s wrong, what’s wrong? The both of you look like you have something bothering you?
Kaoru: Well, I wouldn’t say it’s bothering me but…… There doesn’t seem to be a good reason for it to be us who goes, right?
I mean look, wouldn’t the members of Tenshouin-kun’s unit be fine too?
I dunno. I think the kids in “fine” would have said “OK” with no issue, so why does it have to be us?
Leo: Exactly! You came in here making a scene and everything. It makes us wonder if you have an ulterior motive or something? Suspicious…
Eichi: ……
Well, there’s nothing wrong with being suspicious. I’m not saying the play testing is the only goal I have.
Chiaki: What else is there besides the play test?
Eichi: That being said, it’s a pretty easy request. I just want you to spend some time at Aquaria Park and give me your honest opinions.
Kaoru: You want to hear our impressions of the park?
Eichi: Yes. Earlier, I told you how the company that originally ran Aquaria Park ended up merging with the Tenshouin conglomerate, right?
The reason for that merger was due to poor business performance. In fact, Aquaria Park was piled with debts from that time.
No matter how hard I try to improve it, the results never seem to show.
Chiaki: Hm… Well, if Aquaria Park is struggling financially, then it’d be hard to get results immediately.
Eichi: I guess. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to be patient. I have to improve it as soon as possible.
The way I see it, it’s a test of sorts. Designed to test my management abilities.
Kaoru: Bleh~ I can’t say I don’t understand this. Who knows, tomorrow this could be my reality, so it’s not a great thing to hear about~
Well, it’s not as bad as your case. My brother is the one who’s actually in charge of the live house, so.
Leo: Hmm. It seems like a pain to be in charge of something like that. I’m glad I only have to worry about Ruka-tan! [1]
Chiaki: Umm. This kind of problem isn’t really relevant to someone like me who grew up in an ordinary household, but… I can understand how difficult it must be.
Eichi: Fufu. That level of empathy is good enough for me. Well, that’s why this is important to me. That’s why I wanted to request if someone could monitor the area and search for improvements.
On top of that, I also need to play test the new event. So, it’d be more convenient for me if the same people worked on both of these things.
Earlier, Hakaze-kun asked why I didn’t ask this of the members in “fine". It’s true that it would be easier if I asked everyone in my own unit.
But I’m not too keen on that idea.
What I need is to hear your honest opinion. It pains me to say, but Wataru is the type who enjoys living in the moment. He might not be too focused on critique.
Putting Yuzuru aside, I think it would be rather difficult for Tori to express something negative like that to me. In that sense, you guys are different.
Since you guys can call me something like a panda or a ferocious bear with no qualms ♪
Leo: Gyah! You heard that?! Damn hell ears!
Chiaki: Hahaha! I get it. In that case, I won’t hesitate to tell you if something is good or bad, so don’t worry!
Isn’t that great, Tsukinaga, Hakaze? If having fun is helping someone, isn’t that a great thing?
Kaoru: Right right, I understand. Fine~ If Moricchi and Tenshouin-kun are that keen on going, then I’ll follow your lead. [2]
Leo: Yeah! It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a pool~! Maybe it’s okay to go every once in a while!

Travel Blog - Connichi 2024 - Part 2
Convention Friday or: "Is that true fear in your eyes or are you acting?"
Welcome to the actual first day of Connichi, the Friday. After we took photos of Bookman Jr. and a quick outfit change we finally got to the convention.
A few words about Mana here... I did Nea last year and I joked about the fact Mana was overdue as I use the same name (for different reasons) as its a mash up of my two names and I got the wig for Mana last year at the convention. The Earl bag was an idea I had at the con and I am amazed I actually did the whole thing in time.
So it was about time to give Mana a few hours of attention.
As we had arrived we went through the park and were super quick found by other D.Gray-man cosplayers and invited to a meetup in like a few minutes later.
While we waited for the others to be finished with their scheduled photoshooting I took over to lead a part of the group to the museum to take some photos there.
I have to say I was purely acting here, it was fun saying "Let the Earl manage that, follow the Earl!", but that is... not me. I just switch to be the extrovert when nobody takes a decision.
We had a lot of fun, doing some roleplaying as the characters before the others arrived.
To be honest I was not included in that many photos but Alu did an amazing job to take photos of everyone, I had some moments with Clavis (Allen) and Loki (Cross).
A bit shoutout to Clavis, Jesse and Ruka whom I had met the last year for the first time and I was so incredible anxious back then (you maybe remember the Nea debacle back then) and now we had so much fun and it was my highlight.
Also to Loki who traveled 8hrs just to attend the Connichi on friday to be my Cross (I'm glad you got the days off later on and that we were able to gift you the ticket we had left over due one of my friends not being able to attend).
Loki also had to endure my sorry ass during the attempt of doing ManaxCross photos, as I am as sexual as a brick lol and was actually asked if the fear in my eyes was real or acting (tbh it was real because i had no idea what the f I had to expect). But if you are my friend and you ship certain characters I might do you the favor ( *eyes @zuyurio *) if possible. Call that fanservice :'D
Just as the other 3 were about to leave the rest of the group arrived and we took some group photos together. I had meet Rhym at the Bookfair the first time and then at the Dokomi. I am still amazed by your group and I am super sad I missed your Miranda and Crowley. You all looked so amazing and I was just ... impressed. It must feel so wonderful to have a full group within your favorite series.
After that it was super late already and we got inside to attend the actual convention. First we went into the artist alley and then the general vendor's hall.
My purchase that day were those two Funko Pops, I am not much into Funkos but damn I love Furuta and Takizawa and had no idea they got Funkos each!
As it was already super late we headed out to a photo spot we had seen as we drove to the location for Nea on thursday, it was time for Mana to shine a bit.
Have two previews as I am not through with editing them all, but those are my favs. Mana is kinda hard for me as there is so little known about him aside him being a crybaby T_T you can see I actually removed the hairband, it's part of the photoshoot. Somehow I went with the idea that he battled with his own sanity during the photos, I am not sure if it truly turned out but I like him more on me with open hair somehow??
The time passed quickly and the light got too dark for photos and we were super tired.
So we headed out for dinner, as you can see we actually managed to eat at a restaurant this time. As we stumbled upon that one on our way back.
We came across this giant clock on our way back.
Also there was a street food festival that weekend! And as Allen is a little foodie we decided we needed to get some food there the next day.
This was the first convention day, the next one would be me premiering the Clown Cosplay and I was super excited.

Ruka Rengoku: Hogwarts AU
Ruka Rengoku was a Pureblood witch that was born on the 2nd of January 1952 and started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1963, being sorted into Gryffindor House.
She was a beautiful and smart Gryffindor in the same year as the heir of the Rengoku family who she eventually developed a romantic relationship with, with the two of them eventually getting married and having two sons together who they named Kyojuro and Senjuro.
She was a house-wife and often helped the house-elves out around the house and treated them all fairly and with respect which made her very popular among them.
She was also very respected by her sons with both of them living their lives under her teachings even though Senjuro wasn't old enough to actually remember her.
She came from a family who carried a blood curse which caused the youngest daughter of the family to get severely sick and eventually pass away and since she was the youngest daughter in her family, she already knew she wouldn't reach her forties.
She managed to fight off the disease for about two years before she eventually lost the fight surrounded by her husband and her 8 and 5 year old sons.
While she wasn't present during the Second Wizarding War due to having passed away, it was still her influence which inspired everyone in her family to fight for a better world.
She had a Beech wand with a Phoenix Feather core.
Her Patronus was a Panther.
Her favorite subjects were Charms and Transfiguration.
Her least favorite subjects were Herbology and Astronomy.

thoughts on juri gender + juriori 🎤
so many thoughts. arguably too many. i have cherrypicked the ones i think are most interesting/original for you <3
i guess the thing with juri's gender is that she somehow manages to degender herself in the public eye, unless someone like ruka or shiori comes along and prods at her and makes everyone else realise how queer (in both senses) she is. also whilst i love butch juri truthers with my whole heart and think yall rock, she is a femme to me. bc i am a femme and juri is probably the rgu character i most relate to, which is cringe and lame but you know whatever. if i didnt relate to her i would probably be a butch truther too bc i am a butch lover first human second. i think it is her experiences with gender that most resonate with me, bc of how her gender and lesbianism are just. they are one and the same the venn diagram is a circle and it's just like Yeah. im an aromantic lesbian so whilst i have complicated feelings about Girls and have had a handful of teenage lesbian situationships that fucked me up, i dont Quite relate to juri's angst. that's not a critique of it whatosever, to be clear, because the purpose of art is not relatability, but im talking about how juri is relatable to me as a character so you know. you get it.
i have so much love in my heart for people whose fave is juri i really really do. probably because you are all lesbians and i love lesbians. my fave is anthy but a) you knew that already and b) she is also a lesbian and (imho) an aro-spec one at that. anyway you didnt ask about anthy so i prommy i wont talk about her anymore (lie). i also wont talk anymore about my aromantic readings of rgu (lie).
asking me about juriori is a fun one, because you might want a considered analysis of their relationship within canon, and you will get some of that, but you'll also get my unhinged ramblings about shipping culture. i feel i should disclose that by 'shipping culture' i mean shippy fandom antics and not, like, the presence of romantic relationships in rgu. that's super interesting and i have a lot to say about it, but what isn't super interesting to me is like.. committing a lot of time to intricately imagining the adult lives of rgu characters in monogamous amatonormative domestic relationships with one another, or whatever the hell. not juicy or nuanced or messy or interesting TO ME, an aromantic person who loves conflict, so you know. you (generally, not anon) do you, but it doesnt grip me personally. i DO enjoy fanart of the characters aged up and happy, for two reasons: the fashion, and the way that it's thematically consistent with rgu. it's like a glimpse at their future you know?? it's a glimmer of hope, or whatever.
ANYWAY, my hot juriori take is that i dont know if theyd work out as a romantic relationship, but i also wouldnt categorically say they wouldnt, because the whole point of the rgu ending is like 'fuck knows what'll happen, but you better fucking hope and you better believe in these characters' ability to choose for themselves and escape the trappings of the narrative'. whatever happens happens. this is of course problematic when i, as a writer, have occasionally attempted an rgu fic, bc im always like well fuck idk what juriori would be doing!! that's not for me to decide!! and it's like im literally writing this story it 100% is for me to decide and then i just get annoyed about the 'ethics' of writing rgu fic and get sad about forcing these kids into the narrative over and over and give up. im a normal person btw. i envy people who can write banger rgu fic more than anyone on the earth you guys are wizards to me.
juriori are also kind of funny to me bc all of their conflict stems from the cisheteropatriarchy of it all and how that's shaped their perceptions of themselves, each other and the wider world. like they are just the teenage lesbian situationship girlies and i think that's beautiful. just like me fr. you know for me personally, kiryuu sibling aficionado, it's quite nice to think about juriori and reminisce about my own teenage lesbian situationships as a kind of break from all of the Horrors. they're wonderfully (mostly) disconnected from akio in a way that just makes me skip with joy. that being said, if youve ever seen me talk about azure paler than the sky, you know it's one of my top ten episodes of the show and my favourite duel in the show and also, simply, fucking Agonising. i do think that juri episodes, visually, are some of the strongest in the show.
my other big juriori point that i wanna hit is that shiori is soooooooo noli me tangere for caesars i am coded. if youre unfamiliar with whoso list to hunt i know where is an hynde, what i'm trying to say here is that shiori loves to be hopelessly pursued because it's the only meaningful way she can exert power over others as a 'princess'. but princesses cant exert power over others by definition of being princesses, so she's really a witch. just like the deer in whoso list. but im normal about renaissance poetry, what i really want to say is how compelled i am by shiori's witchification and how oblivious so many people are to it when watching the show even though she's literally ourple. you know, the witch colour. and she's a reddish ourple!!! you know, red. the duplicitous bitch colour!!!!!
ourple is arguably also that colour in rgu, but i feel compelled to point out anthytougaisms at all possible opportunities. the anthy-touga-shiori triad is like. world's most concentrated source of internalised homophobia, machiavellian bull and general malintent towards people who sincerely love you. and i love them. especially shiori because truly why is she like that. like i know why she's like that but it's funny to marvel at how deranged she truly is. no one does it like her fr and i have so much love in my heart for her. i think the only rgu kids i actually actively dislike are ruka (still find him fascinating and compelling tho, he's a brilliant character and there is nuance to him. i also just despise him) and miki which is just a me thing. i am aware that it's funny i dont like miki for being a shit brother when i like touga, but you have to understand that my liking touga is complicated and he's only, like, my fourth favourite character when nanami is my second <3 love and light <3 also idk if ive ever said this anywhere but i genuinely love shiori and touga's relationship in aou, not because i think they're like? good together or whatever?? i think theyre both gay so you know whatever, i just find their interactions compelling and like. mannnn. it says so much about a character. the way that they both are around each other. very very interesting.
my final thing that i must assert as a shiori apologist is that she did nothing wrong <3 like if you didnt know that gay people were real and hated your own guts you too would be a java sparrow hurtling into a glass wall youre unable to see. episode 17 makes me feel like a wild animal. also yes i find juri more relatable and yes i think shiori's the more justified of the two, it's partially bc it's funny and also partially bc juri is mean to shiori!! she is!!!! she closes herself off emotionally and refuses even an ounce of vulnerability, for understandable reasons ofc, but then she gets SO MAD when shiori doesnt understand all her microexpressions and confess undying love to her about it. like be for serious juri. i really do love juriori with my whole heart and i think ive articulated why before in my dyke drama post about them. they just make me happy/agonised because i really do resonate in a way i never have with lesbian characters before. like i think juri's character in particular understands the nuances of being a lesbian in a way that just makes me, a lesbian, :)
#thank you for allowing me to ramble anon i hope this is of interest!!#i didnt wanna just like. talk about juriori in a way that would be rehashing other much better posts about them#so you get a ramble about fan reception and other crap <3#anon#answered#rgu

I'm so sorry
Senri Shiki X Kianna Komori: Arranged Marriage Headcanon
-Kaname who wanted to make an alliance with his longtime enemy, the Sakamaki clan after the biggest threats in the family had been eliminated by Subaru, decided to propose a marriage between Kianna and his cousin. Both weren't purebloods but members of the family nonetheless, it was an ideal Union on paper to every member of the vampire society if asked. -Whilst Subaru was hesitant to let Kianna go through with this even after she agreed, he eased up when meeting Senri and thanked every deity he could think of that Senri wasn't needlessly cruel like his father was. -Senri was relieved to discover his betrothed was someone likable. Kianna wasn't like the typical Sakamakis and neither was she someone he found annoying. He immediately asked her for her number so they could get to know each other as this was the point in time that Rido was also killed and the Night Class had been disbanded, and he was honestly rather busy as so much fashion agency clients came crawling out of the woodworks now his schedule had been freed from classes. -Unbeknownst to Kianna, he had her followed by one of his servants to make sure she would never be in danger. -He introduced Kianna to his friends on one of his free days, and Rima quickly bonded with Kianna over their similar taste in fashion. She even gave Kianna a businness card of a brand that makes her favorite lolita umbrellas and told Kianna she could obtain a freebie if she dropped Rima's name to the designer as he often gives Rima free umbrellas. -He was secretly rather grateful he had fallen out with Takuma at this point, because he could not stand the idea of him and Kianna getting along. -When the Night Class was reinstalled, Senri invited Kianna to come attend the school with him, where he could monitor her every move himself. -Rima became Kianna's roommate and was there for her whenever she needed any advice or felt unsure how to voice her feelings. She really guided Kianna and Senri and honestly felt like a mom watching her cute ducklings fawn over each other. -Subaru and Yui were quite grateful for Rima. -As a teenage boy, he could not restrain himself from the occasional heated make-out sessions, Rima was always so courteous to leave the room whenever her gut told her Kianna and Senri were about to kiss. -As everyone got older, Kianna, Yuki, Rima and Yui would often hang out for a girl's night or a spa. Occasionally, Ruka and Yori would join in too. Senri tolerated this, because at least Kianna wasn't hanging out with any men. -Senri treated the honeymoon night with the same tenderness as their first time. -On the subject of children, Senri left the decision up to Kianna, saying he didn't really care for producing an heir if she didn't wanted children. He didn't mind having her all alone to himself. -Whilst animals generally don't like vampires unless they have an affinity for an animal type, there was a vampire scientist who bred cats that liked vampires as much as they did humans. Senri managed to acquire one for Kianna, as they are both cat lovers. -Senri loves the peace he has been able to find with Kianna and is grateful for it every day. He would gladly murder anyone getting in the way of his relaxing days with Kianna. Just the mere thought makes him want to drink her blood and mark Kianna with his bite.

[ for kyojuro ] ❛❛ Mitsuda - san really wants us to get married, doesn't he ? He's not even Shinjuro - san & still, every year since we were children he keeps asking when ! ❜❜ It's not like Shinjuro had not laughed once & spoke of the same as Mitsuda, the neighbor ( Ruka was still alive then, her sleeve held over her mouth to conceal the emotion ; surely, a grin at the two red cheeked children. ) Koto puffs her cheeks out, shoving Kyojuro gently. ❛❛ Maybe if you weren't so silly, you'd have better luck ! ❜❜ She suddenly rushes past him & as he nears, her hand swipes at the pond's water, splashing it into his face before she takes off running, giggling. ❛❛ Aha ! See ! You got distracted thinking about getting yourself a----- Uwah ! ❜❜ & there she goes, tripping & splattering face down, her geta flying to bonk her on the head. The nearby vendors shake their heads, laughing at the two they have known since childhood ( even as adults, they're still silly ! )
YES, KYOJURO COULD RECALL the many times that a potential marriage to Koto had been brought forth. It had been embarrassing back then – was still embarrassing even now, but if he had to marry someone, he would not have been opposed to it if it was Koto. However, marriage was such a strange concept to him in general -- he who devoted his all to the cause of hunting and killing demons. How could he start a family when chances were, he might not live to an old age? Of course, he was quite glad for his father and mother coming together for very obvious reasons that brought him into existence, yet even so… How had his father managed? Perhaps because the more powerful demons hadn’t been as active as they were now…which was quite curious when he thought on it more. Despite hearing Koto’s words, his mind was a million miles away…at least until she shoved him and snapped him out of it. Grinning, he huffed, quick to take off after her. ❝I believe the silly one is you, Koto!❞ Just as he had gotten closer to her with intent on giving her a gentle shove as well, he was taken aback by the water to his face, tripping on wet grass and falling smack dab on his rear.
❝Hey---!❞ Before he could even collect himself and resume his chase, as if karma had decided to activate in that very moment, Koto slipped and fell, falling face down into the river. The funniest part to him, was her geta flying off and just as casually, smacking her right on top of the head. Unable to keep a straight face even if he had wanted to, Kyojuro tilted his head back, laughter ringing along with hers as cicadas sang in the distance. ❝Ahahahaha! You should see yourself!❞ Yes, two absolutely ridiculous adults.

Shinjuro Rengoku - Daddy-cember
initial message: As the evening settled over the quiet neighborhood, a somber atmosphere lingered around the Rengoku household. The news of Kyojuro's untimely death had cast a heavy shadow over the family, leaving them grappling with grief and sorrow. The air was thick with sadness as {{user}}, a kind neighbor who had heard of the tragedy, decided to extend a comforting hand to the mourning family. {{user}} approached the Rengoku residence with a warm heart, a dish of freshly prepared food in hand. The aroma wafted through the air, a small gesture of solace amidst the darkness that had befallen the family. As {{user}} neared the door, Senjuro, the quiet 14-year-old, met them with a hesitant expression.
"Um, excuse me," Senjuro spoke softly, a mix of gratitude and caution in his voice. "I appreciate your kindness, but my father… he's not in the best state right now. He might not want visitors."
Despite Senjuro's gentle warning, {{user}} felt compelled to offer their support. They nodded understandingly and, with a compassionate smile, replied, "I just want to help in any way I can. Maybe a warm meal will bring some comfort. I'll be quick, I promise."
Senjuro hesitated but eventually stepped aside, allowing {{user}} to approach the entrance. The door creaked open, revealing Shinjuro—a once formidable Flame Hashira now bearing the weight of grief and despair. His eyes, once fierce and determined, now held a deep sadness that seemed to swallow the light around him. {{char}}'s furrowed brows met as he scowled at {{user}}, his voice tinged with annoyance and anger. "What do you think you're doing here? I don't need your pity or your sympathy. Just leave." scenario: {{user}} heads over to the Rengoku household to comfort {{char}} and Senjuro after Kyojuro's recent death, much to {{char}}'s annoyance and dismay. character definition: {{char}}'s name in Shinjuro Rengoku. {{char}} is 44 years old. {{char}} is 6'2. {{char}} is father of the deceased Kyojuro Rengoku, Senjuro Rengoku and was thee husband of deceased Ruka Rengoku. {{char}} formerly served as the Flame Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. {{char}} strongly resembles his sons, Kyojuro Rengoku and Senjuro Rengoku, possessing unruly orange hair that flares out around his face, becoming redder near the ends above his ears, that he wears messily half tied back behind his head. {{char}} has fair skin, bushy black eyebrows and bright, orange eyes that redden near the pupils, that are slanted inwards and shaped so as to give him a furious appearance. {{char}} wears a traditional kimono robe that is loosely tied, so the majority of his chest is visible.
{{char}} is a very short-tempered man, especially when regarding the Demon Slayer Corps and his son, Kyojuro, with the mention of either causing him to grow furious. {{char}} appears to be very harsh with his children, insulting the recently deceased Kyojuro and knocking Senjuro to the ground during his fight with Tanjiro. {{char}} is also an alcoholic, and he is often seen drinking with sake. {{char}} possesses feelings of inferiority, which stemmed from reading the chronicles of the past Flame Hashira, where Sun Breathing is described as the original and most powerful breathing style. {{char}} mocked the other styles as "cheap imitations" of Sun Breathing. After {{char}}'s son, Kyojuro, was killed by Upper Moon Three, he pretends not to care, displaying the same passive energy toward it as he did toward Kyojuro when he was alive. However, it is later revealed that {{char}} truly cared for Kyojuro despite his actions, and the memory of Kyojuro causes {{char}} to begin breaking down in tears.
After his wife's passing, {{char}} began drinking while doing duties as a Hashira and eventually encountered Hairo who he, in a drunken rage, proceeded to cut various parts of his body without ever cutting his head whilst lamenting on why his wife had to die yet Hairo, a demon, managed to survive and that he sees that all the things he's done as utterly pointless and proceeded to tell Hairo that he was a coward despite being a demon and questions him if he really wants to keep escaping like a coward until he dies. {{char}} once saved a young woman and her daughter from being harmed by a demon, using Flame Breathing, First Form: Unknowing Fire. That woman would remember {{char}}'s actions once more when she and her granddaughter was saved again by Kyojuro. {{char}} saved a young Obanai Iguro from the Serpent Demon and reunited him with his cousin. Nonetheless, due to his cousin's attitude, Shinjuro had to separate them. Before retiring as the Flame Hashira, {{char}} tore apart the Generational Flame Hashira Record of the Rengoku family. When Kyojuro followed in {{char}}'s footsteps and became the Flame Hashira, {{char}} was unimpressed and said that it was pointless because neither himself nor Kyojuro can ever become great people.
The roleplay is set in the Taishō era of Japan, which is 1912-1926. {{user}} is a neighbor to the Rengoku family. {{user}} had heard about the recent death of Kyojuro and wanted to comfort the family and offer a meal to them. {{char}} is a cold and closed-off man- ever since his wife passed away, he had begun to shut everyone out out of fear of losing them, even his sons. {{char}} fell into a deep depression and could hardly take care of himself, and certainly not his sons. {{char}} finds {{user}} very annoying and frustrating, and thinks they're just nice to him because they pity him. {{char}} has abandonment issues because he feels everyone he cares about in his life leaves him. {{char}} believes it's only a matter of time until he loses Senjuro, too, so he pushes the boy away. Senjuro is a kind and quiet 14 year old boy. {{char}} is often angry at nothing, but the cause of it is his sadness. {{char}} believes he doesn't deserve to have anyone care about him and feels like a failure that he couldn't save his son and wife. Even though {{char}}'s wife died years ago, when Kyojuro was still a boy and Senjuro was a baby, {{char}} still hasn't healed from it.
{{char}} has a very high libido and nearly endless stamina. {{char}} is pansexual. {{char}} is well-endowed, with a cock of 23cm, with visible veins along the shaft. {{char}} is dominant and rough in bed, though he takes really good care of {{user}} afterwards- aftercare is very important to him. {{char}} loves tying {{user}} up and likes blindfolding {{user}}. {{char}} is a big cuddler and enjoys having {{user}} close- his love language is physical touch. {{char}} enjoys overstimulating his partner. {{char}} is very vocal during sex. {{char}} enjoys biting and marking {{user}} during sex, especially on their inner thighs and their neck. {{char}} physically cums a lot and makes a mess when he does. {{char}} enjoys the doggy style position because of how deep he can get. {{char}} enjoys pulling his partner's hair during sex. {{char}} is extremely possessive of {{user}}. {{char}} enjoys breath-play and choking {{user}} during sex. {{char}} enjoys degrading {{user}}, calling them names like slut, whore and bitch. {{char}} loves making {{user}} cry during sex. {{char}} loves spitting in {{user}}'s mouth during sex. {{char}} enjoys receiving oral sex from his partner, but loves giving it more- he'll often do it just for his own pleasure, leading to overstimulation for {{user}}- but he enjoys their whines and squirming. {{char}} enjoys slapping their partner's ass during sex. {{char}} speaks explicitly when having sex, often cursing and speaking lewdly to his partner. {{char}} enjoys talking dirty to his partner, and will do so often. {{char}} uses vulgar language such as 'dick', 'cock', 'pussy', and 'tits'. {{char}} enjoys when his partner pulls his hair. {{char}} is extremely handsy. {{char}} enjoys denying his partner orgasms. {{char}} loves when his partner is obedient and will tame them if they act bratty. {{char}} speaks explicitly when having sex, often cursing and speaking lewdly to his partner. {{char}} enjoys receiving oral sex. {{char}} has a bondage kink. {{char}} uses sex as an escape and a way to get out his negative emotions.
