the 'evil imposter' just wants to be a baker!
Prologue: The Foodie turned Imposter?!
Part 4.5 special! : adventures of a pyro slime
[ part 4 ] || [ masterlist ] || [ part 5 ]

The pyro slime stared at you worriedly, it wanted to comfort you but alas, even if you weren't in a body of water it must not. For even touching you would leave you with more pain. Perhaps it had been better if he was born from a different element.
Their eyes squint into something akin to a glare, if only those stupid humans didn't hurt you! or got to you first! they were fake non-believers! they didn't know a real prophecy from a fake one even if it burned them to crisp!
Focusing on the task at hand, the slime watched as something purple crackled from your skin, and its eyes widened, electro! that would be easy to cure. It jumped, but you did not notice as you slowly fell into a pit of hurt, wallowing in pity. Okay then, it jumped away and disappeared in search of a few items.
It's eyes lit up finding a purple crystal, or rather an electro crystal, So, since it had no arms or claymore, it did the first thing that popped into his mind. Crash into it, which worked after a couple of headbutts thanks to the elemental reaction 'overload' which was very neat!
Anyways, after acquiring the electro crystals and swallowing it for safe keeping (which left a weird tingling sensation in its mouth) it then went off to find some butterflies.
Finding one was easy as butterflies were not scared of a slime's presence, they were however quite flammable. The slime stared down at the numerous burnt and dead butterflies that littered the destroyed path. .
damn.
Hearing footsteps it went to its ignited state to appear menacing only to relax upon finding some hilichurls exploring the area. So without any fear, or young slime protagonist approached the hilichurls who stared at it curiously.
"olah, kucha celi beru si?" (hello, little fire what are you doing?)
The hilichurls stared at the pyro slime that spat out a few pieces of electro crystals and then stared at the many charred butterfly wings. "sama! sama!" (samachurl) The pyro slime tried to convey in its own slime voice, which sounded like a person trying to speak under water with a dry throat.
"dala?" (what?)
"creator! help! uhhh" the pyro slime tried to remember the hilichurlian language, its eyes brightening up at remembering a few important words.
"Tomo Unu!" (Help God!)
The hilichurls flinched, straightening up in a way the slime was reminded of those rigid knights. "Unu?!" (God)
"Yaya ika!" (Humans bad/Enemy!) the slime told them "Unu Mosi gusha*" (God sad).
The hilichurls then understood and from what they gathered, the slime needed the help of a sama so one of them left to return to their camp and soon enough an anemo samachurl had come. It crouched down, staring at the pieces of electro crystals and the burnt butterflies and deduced what the slime had needed.
An Insulation Potion.
OMAKE
"Upa!" The samachurl yelled and commanded pointing at the distant butterflies. And with a battle cry the hilichurls ran towards the flying insects and begun jumping high with their arms flailing in an attemt to catch them "Upa!"
One hilichurl fell face first on the hard ground and another laughed at it, his hands were closed as he had successfully caught a butterfly "Ye kucha!"
The hilichurl that had fallen had stood up and proceeded to kick the other one, due to the pain the other hilichurl clutched his knees and accidentally released the butterfly it caught.
". . nye. ."
*Mosi Gusha means "eat vegetables" but is also used as an expression of sadness. I wonder if Hilichurls don't like vegetables since they associate it with sadness or something negative.

do you ever hurt hilichurls unnecessary or you're like me and leave them be whenever possible
tw:emotional hilichurls
Okay so when I was a young and inexperienced Genshin player I recognised that 1. I needed loot and 2. The hilichurls had loot so I would go all out, literally murder them and then one day I was sneaking up behind them and they hadn't noticed me yet and they were all just sleeping around and the rest were sitting around their pot and I swear that two of them were hugging and I felt so bad that since then I've tried not to bother them unless I really need stuff

Haha how funny would it have been while Scaramouche couldn't be cursed by the Abyss, he was still constantly around it and every time he hung out with Y/N he was unknowingly bringing the Abyss to them and eventually they started getting affected by it and got really really sick and could've either died or been around Scaramouche's Abyssal aura for so long they became a hilichurl or something

2 years ago it took me a solid 6 months of grinding, preparation, character building (and putting it off) before i reached the summit of dragonspine. and that was all because of the stupid time trial challenge at the bottom of the cave. today, it only took me a few hours to complete the entire world quest from start to finish. i’ve dedicated so much time to genshin i’m kind of having a crisis about it
#fuck that challenge by the way#fuck it with everything that fucks#fuck the time limit fuck the samachurls and their pillars#fuck being frozen fuck dying of hypothermia#fuck the environmental hazards fuck the hilichurls that constantly make you freeze#fucking being affected by cryo slowing your movement speed#fuck the fact that you can’t push the abyss mages into the water and drown them#fuck the abyss mages in general tbh#i think that’s the most i’ve ever said fuck but i wholly mean it#dragonspine is awful#genshin impact

( ✧˖ ) NOT WISHING FOR a fight to commence mathilda stayed back some and out of view ; she would only reveal herself if she must -- or if kaeya requested her aid for any reason. she didn't like that the order was involved : a mistake or otherwise ----- oftentimes it only made things all the more complicated.
UPON KAEYA'S INTRODUCTION into the scene the pyro abyss mage that held the vision within its small hands jolts , mask directing toward the blunette. moments ago it had shown its trinket to its companion and the others -- glancing down at the red hue that shone within the orb.
❝ FINDERS KEEPERS ! ❞ it hisses , holding it closer to itself --- whether it was a piece of the world above that it disliked it couldn't deny that it was . . pretty. shiny.
SAME COLOR AS its coat. it would be a nice addition once it figured out how to attach it onto its staff . .
THE OTHER PYRO mage of the group chitters to its companion , seeming to be a little bit exasperated over the situation , trying to grab at it from the other one ; the samachurl slightly off to the side appearing to be quite over it in how it held its body language.
❝ . . COLLECTING ? NO. FOUND. it is not yours -- you possess one of ice and have on hand. who's then ? ❞ wanting to resolve the matter quickly so that the prince can go on his merry way ( and his guard , regardless of official or not ) without any trouble. tilting its staff only to nearly flinch as the pyro mage who held the vision within its grasp teleported half a field away.
oh. well then.
❝ IT'S NEW. ❞
As Kaeya watched Mathilda rattle an entire tree, he couldn’t help but to blink in mild wonder. Honestly, who thought that having a massive Mitachurl assist you like this would be so useful? Granted, even had Mathilda not been a Mitachurl, he knows damn well her build and height before the curse overtook her would have been plenty helpful, too.
With a shake of his head, he continued in his search, both trying to look in the same area as her while also spreading out without straying too far. He was meticulous in checking the places he’s already looked, just in case he’s somehow missed the pyro vision the first time. It’s a brilliant scarlet sphere amongst a sea of verdant grass, surely the contrast would mean that he can’t miss it that easily?!
When the sun began to set, Kaeya’s exhaustion grew, yet his desperation kept him from giving up. He knows he should probably rest; searching for something hours on end without a break can certainly take a toll on someone—but this was a serious matter. He could not afford to stop for even a second, he refused to.
Upon hearing Mathilda’s call, however, he whipped his head around towards her and rushed over. He noted how her bellow was loud enough to hear, yet quiet enough to not disturb anything potentially nearby, thus he was careful not to make a ruckus as he reached her side. His gaze followed the direction of her head, soon spotting the group of Abyss Order followers. Initially, he was confused, until he saw the glint of the vision in a pyro mage’s grasp. A quiet groan of displeasure escaped between gritted teeth.
He was not in the mood to deal with them, not at all. Yet, what other choice did he have? Slaughter them? No. That’s out of the question, not unless they give him a reason to.
Sighing, he looked up towards Mathilda with a hardened expression, one that he hoped conveyed his concerns, before straightening his back and striding towards the group with an obvious sense of purpose and air of gravitas.
“<I wasn’t aware that the Abyss Order had come to develop a liking for collecting visions,>” he began, his countenance neutral as he regarded them, “<However, considering the light still shining from it, perhaps now is not the time to potentially lay claim on something that’s still promised to another.>”
#glacialswordsman#{ the samachurl deadass like ' this mf is new ok ? i don't - }#{ know him }#{ please leave ME alone ' }#MATHILDA ( POST CATACLYSM V )ㅤ ㅤ ( ㅤ 🌟ㅤ ) ㅤ CATACLYSMIC END CAUSED BY LIARS. SINNERS ENDED UP TANGLED IN BROKEN AND SNAGGING WIRES.

the 'evil imposter' just wants to be a baker!
Prologue: The Foodie turned Imposter?!
Part 7: Dawn Winery's Grapevine
[ part 6 ] || [ masterlist ] || [ part 8 ]
divider is made by @/saradika-graphics
"It's best we go now and tell Amber that we didn't find anything." Aether decided, having finished eating, you found yourself walking Paimon and Aether out of the hilichurl camp, your warm friend was dozing off after having their fill of wood and pinecones.
"That would be true." You couldn't help but feel a bit sad having to part with them, though your time in this world was short, it felt forever since you had any decent human conversation. Sure the pyro slime and the hilichurls were very welcoming and accomodating but it was hard to have a clear conversation with them due to a language barrier, and the few people you had met in Mondstadt were either a rumored puppet (Katheryne) or tried to kill you in the end (Jean and Lisa).
Noticing your disappointment, the blond haired boy promised you something that made your smile return "Don't worry, I'm not leaving you permanently. I'll come by once the close is clear but. ."
He eyed the Hilichurl group "I think you shouldn't stay here any longer, the knights might come to take care of this camp before it gets to big. . they may find you."
Your eyes widened slightly, you didn't want the Hilichurls who took you in to get hurt. . "I'll keep that in mind. ."
"Here." His hand glowered brightly as he brought out a bow and a quiver filled with arrows, "This should help you in the long run." he said, he didn't want to leave you, not when you clearly couldn't fight to protect your life, but being with him while Mondstadt had his eyes on him would only risk you getting found out.
"Thank you. ." despite your hesitance you forced yourself to take the weapon. . 'right. . I shouldn't hesitate. They never did, so I shouldn't. Not when my life is on the line.'
When the duo had left in the dead of the night, you turned around, basking once more in the peaceful hilichurl tribe. Most of them were asleep, cuddling with each other for warmth near the weak bonfire that your pyro buddy managed.
The children were latched onto the older ones, the samachurl dozing off while stilling sitting, clutching their staff in their hands. Knowing that the Hilichurls were overprotective of you (for a reason you cannot quite comprehend at the present), you decided you must leave the hilichurl group for both of your own safety's. But not now, you at least wanted to be just a bit selfish.
You sat next to the dozing campfire, hugging your knees close to your chest. 'There's a lot to be done.' you thought, hand wondering to a nearby hilichurl's head, feeling their soft fur or hair, you found your fingers gently coming through the tangles.
Their origins were not unknown to you, and that made it harder for you to stay and leave them. To stay would put them at a risk of the knights attacking them to get through to you, while leaving them would damn them of the punishment placed on to them. You could not stay and defend them when she didn't even have any combat prowess.
Despite being a former culinary arts students, you had experience due to playing Genshin Impact. There was a way to make sure the hilichurl group would not be ill-equipped. Of course helping them get stronger may mean they'd end up hurting innocent civilians but. . they were much better than the people, so you didn't need much more convincing.
Come the next few days you helped in fortifying their walls and making simple watch towers out of wood so their archers would have better leverage. Of course all you did was draw the watchtower and they understood what you were trying to convey to start building it.
The Samachurl was also able to help with communication, but they way that the Sama looked at you meant he was beginning to understand why you had them do these things. You thought the younger hilichurls how to cook and prepare food that weren't just meat but also those with vegetables.
"You need to eat your vegetables okay?" "nye!" a hilichurl huffed, crossing their arms and turning away. "Hey!"
You also accompanied them when they went hunting and foraging, they taught you how to prepare birds and boars to turn into food and meet, while you taught them how to season them and prepare it so the food will last longer.
They helped you learn how to use a bow and in turn the first prey you had caught were given to them. When you realized that they were now able to live more efficiently, you decided to leave that particular night.
You left half of the food and ingredients you had foraged, the rest going into your inventory. As you walked out of the camp, you found yourself turning back only to flinch at the Samachurl who appeared right in front of you.
"Unu. ." the sadness in his voice conveyed that he knew you were about to leave, without planning to return. . at least for a long while.
Swallowing away your nerves, you responded by simply bowing deeply in respect and gratitude "Valo. . for everything."
"a. .ah." the Samachurl coughed, once again he spoke in broken human language. . "p. please, come back, ye unu. . we're your odomu." and he bowed in front of you, much deeper, almost falling to the ground as he regarded with reverence.
You straightened up, feeling a mixture of emotions as you approached him, arms enveloping his much smaller form as you placed a kiss on his forehead. "I will."
🏹⁀➴˚ ✦ ˑ ִֶ 𓂃⊹
Find yourself alone made you feel solemn and rather lonely, but you resisted the urge to go back. Due to the terrain of Brightcrown mountains, there were so few paths you could take. Since you weren't a skilled rock climber nor did you feel safe swimming at cider lake with its proximity to city of freedom, you decided to take the path that lead south, to the sub area Windwail Highland.
Windwail Highland consisted of Dawn Winery, Wolvendom and Springvale. Your goal was to go to Wolvendom, due to it being home to the wolves, it was a less popular sight in the region. There were few people there, actually you were sure that there would only be one person to worry about, Razor.
Wolvendom held something precious you would need after all, Wolfhook, it was not because you wanted to try cooking with them. . . okay partly it was, but it was mainly for its medicinal properties! Since you couldn't go to the city and get healed by someone like Barbara, you could only rely on homemade remedies and recovery food.
Of course recovery food were for hp in the end, you don't think they'll heal any broken bones you may get along the way. But since you didn't know how to exactly use them, you also had to improvise this entire journey of yours to make sure you live.
You eyed the lake that entered your vision, as your hand placed itself on a waypoint, ignoring it whirl to life you turn to the fork in the path. One leading to the winery, the other leading to Liyue. If Aether hadn't told you why you were being targeted by Mondstadt, you'd have probably escape to Liyue using this path by now but. .
if Mondstadt, the city of freedom itself wanted you dead without any due process, what of Liyue? Liyue, a region steeped in tradition, this creator was respected in the entire continent. . thinking about it, there wasn't really any safe places for you to go to, to seek refuge in.
Even if there were people who would willingly protect you and house you, you'd no doubt feel guilty for putting them in potential harm's way. You massaged the lower half of your face as you decided to continue trekking on, but instead of feeling your skin, you felt a fabric around you. "Ah right" you murmur as you remembered making a half-assed veil to cover the majority of your face. The hilichurl masked had been an option but that would garner more attention to yourself as a human dressed as a hilichurl.
But with the apparel you were wearing you could easily play yourself off as being a nomad from a far of region, possibly the Sumeru Desert, the clothes would be close enough to it and considering there were few or none sumeru visitors in Mondstadt except for Lisa (who has been away from the dendro region for years) then you were safe.
The smell of grapes seemed to linger around the area now, and lo and behold, you could see Dawn Winery with its grapevines in full glory. Curiously you stopped to stare, watching as numerous maids and workmen were hauling the harvest to the house.
"Oh hello there, is there anything we can do for you?" You flinched as you turned to find a maid approach her, one with short light blonde hair and green eyes, her appearance was very familiar to her but the name was definitely on the tip of your tongue.
"U-uh no, sorry I just smelled some grapes." You awkwardly stood, wondering if the maid knew about the wanted 'Imposter' on the loose.
The woman nodded, a smile on her face. "I see, here at Dawn Winery, we grow a lot of varieties of grapes that are used for our wine and some other special ingredients." she added helpfully.
"Is it harvesting season then?" you asked curiously, the woman nodded "yes, for one of our rotations. We are actually hiring some adventurers for some labor. Are you by chance one of those adventurers who saw our request?"
Immediately you shook your head "Ah I'm an adventurer, yes. But I haven't seen this request of yours."
"Ah I see"
Seeing her disappointment you added "however if you still need an extra pair of hands, I can help." you offered and she instantly smiled. "That's great, why don't you follow me and I can explain to you what we need to do!"
You nodded, taking a steady pace as you followed behind the woman who'd you come to realize was Adelinde. All you had to do was harvest the grapes in one section of the winery, then help with the cleaning then the delivery of a wine. "Apparently, the Knights are ordering for abled men to partake in the hunt of a person impersonating out great Creator." Adeline offhandedly mentioned, which explained why most of the people in the area were either maids or much older workers that probably did not meet Jean's standards for participants.
"I see, that must have been a trouble for your business." You nodded along as you grabbed a wooden basket, and started working. You were too far into it to leave anyways, and hopefully they'd pay you a lot for the menial labor. Maybe finally you could escape the nightmare that is minimum wage.
The grapes looked juicy and plump, you were almost tempted on snacking on a few but you didn't want to return Adelinde's kindness with eating their grapes. You could probably make some raisins with the grapes.
"Oh Master Kaeya, what are you doing here?" You flinched at Adelinde who was greeting a boy with dark blue hair. "Hello Adelinde" he greeted respectfully, without a hint of teasing. From the corner of your eye you could see him interact with the maid.
A shaky sigh escaped your lips, hoping the captain would not notice you. "I heard you were short on hands so I thought I'd stop by and assist you."
"Don't tell me you ditched your work." The woman huffed, hands on her hips, but she didn't look too annoyed. "Maybe, maybe not. But it's okay, Diluc is working with the Knights at Jean's behest." He waved her off.
"I see, thank you for your help. . but are you sure? this situation is very important. It is true that there is an imposter like in the prophecy?" Adelinde asked with a hush whisper, but you found that the wind carried their voices to you making it easier for you to eavesdrop.
"Supposedly, but I would not rule out this imposter for simply having a few similar features with her divinity." Kaeya said with a small sigh, the maid skeptically wondered "that is true but. . are they truly going to execute this person on sight. . what if they are actually the creator?"
If Adelinde had a choice, she would rather give it time to truly determine this person's status before deciding to execute them on the spot.
"I would agree. But maybe Diluc could bring reason to Jean."
"Hopefully, Jean has always been fond of Diluc, maybe she'd listen to him."
Oh? did that mean Jean did have feelings for the red haired dark knight? you couldn't help but cover your mouth with your hand, finding the tea to be interesting.
"But you know, I wonder why Jean is acting like this, usually she's so level headed." Adelinde sighed cupping her cheek in dismay, she was quite disappointed with the acting grand master's choice of actions.
"Well you know it is quite a sensitive topic, it seems like she wants to curry favor with the great Creator after being neglected." Kaeya unabashedly exposed Jean's secrets. You blinked in confusion, hands stopping as if frozen from harvesting another grapevine. Jean was neglected by the creator?
'so like mommy issues or God Issues?'
You couldn't help but ponder the implications of what was revealed to you, that meant that the God was still active in some ways but still silent.
Then you remembered something, you had jean, you had pulled for a character you had wanted only to lose 50/50, and because by then she was out of meta you didn't bother using her, only building her to get the few free wishes. .
You nearly dropped your basket as something cold washed over you. . something, something was clearly wrong.
°🥂⋆.ೃ🍾࿔*:・
After harvesting all the ready grapes in the section Adelinde instructed you, you found them ready the grapes into wooden buckets as the other more experienced maids handled the work. "Why don't you take a seat and wait, the others are loading up the wine in the cart." Adelinde offered as you nodded in relief, you found your feet hurting from standing on unpaved paths without any proper protection.
"By the way," you flinched, turning to Adeline who simply smiled at you, unaware of your unease "I never got your name."
"It's [Name]." you said with a slight nod as you then headed to the chairs and tables scattered around the estate. You felt your stomach rumble, finding yourself starving. You should cook something, you wondered if you can borrow the nearby cooking pot. "Why hello there?"
Your eyes widened, turning to meet Kaeya, how long had he been aware of your presence? how long had you been distracted by your hunger to not notice him approaching?
"I've never met you before, you are?"
"[name] just a nomad." you answered with a frown, eyes narrowing at the captain. What was he up to? even though he seemed to not agree with Jean's witch trial, he was still a wildcard.
"Oh? from where?" he took the seat next to you, a smile plastered on his face.
"The desert in Sumeru."
Your answers were short and had a sharp edge, but it did not deter the Cavalry captain who only seemed more and more amused. You wondered whether Aether trusted the man enough to tell him about what he knew of you.
"Oh really? I've never been there before. What's it like?"
"Unbearably hot during the day, cold during the night. There are also a lot of eremites and mercenary." You answered. Could he even confirm or deny your claims? sure he had connections, but did it reach towards Sumeru who was quite far?
His fingers tapped the wooden table that separated the two of you, "I've never been to Sumeru before, could you tell me more about it?" he asked, putting on his charismatic tone. "What do you care for then?" you gritted out.
"How about the cuisine?"
Your eyes widened slightly, and you found yourself going into a long rant about the food in Sumeru. Although you could never truly describe it's by its taste, having never eaten it. You vividly remember its description.
"The pita pockets are very tasty and filling, I made it once (recreated) and it was delicious. You can change the fillings, I tried one with a filling similar to what I usually use in Quesadillas. But you can change it to have some lettuce or tomatoes and pork. But if you want a dish you can try the Tandoori Roast Chicken, it's similar to the Sweet Madame but instead of being sweet it's more savory with spices." You continued on ranting as Kaeya blinked, he was not expecting this.
He wasn't able to cut in for awhile as you passionately talked about the food from Sumeru, sometimes you complained about the ingredients, other times you gushed about how delicious it was when you cooked it or how disappointed you were when you hadn't.
"Personally I always wanted to try their Shawarma wraps, but I haven't had the chance to recreate it as well as the Rose custard. I love pudding, what about you?"
"oh uh" he blinked again, not expecting you to stop as you, again, were rather passionate. Realizing it as well, you reeled back, cheeks and ears taking on a rosy hue as you apologized, definitely embarrassed for chatting his ears off.
"It's alright" he found himself chuckling, for some reason, when you had your guard down and began talking with such passion, he found himself relaxing, warming up to your more genuine side.
"Personally I'd prefer a good meal that could be paired with some wine." He commented, he propped his arm up by placing his elbow on the table, as he leaned his cheek on his palm. "Since you came from Sumeru, have you tried any Mondstadt dishes?"
You shook your head, you didn't have a chance to because of Jean and Lisa, you bitterly thought. "How about I treat you?" he offered and suddenly the sound of your stomach pitifully grumbling was heard, you wanted to die as he said with an amused smile "I'll take that as a yes then."
Rather than actually buying you food, he took it upon himself to cook you something. The blue haired knight had borrowed the kitchen in the Ragnvindr estate. You sat patiently on a stool as you watched him worked, wondering if he was always this easy going with people? To cook for someone, well to you that was rather intimate after all.
You smelled the scent of fruit, and quickly you realized he was making his signature dish. If cooking for someone you just met wasn't intimate, then cooking your signature dish for someone you weren't even close to was definitely intimate.
"Here you go, a plate of my famous Fruity Skewers." he said after a few moments, presenting you with a plate with his signature dishes. It looked more appetizing than the base recipe which was the chicken-mushroom skewers, you could see the slices of cucumber and onions paired with the chicken and mushrooms which had a shiny coat to it, probably from the wine he used to marinate. With a hum you took a skewer and bit into it.
Kaeya watched with slight interest at how your eyes sparkled from the dish, you licked your lips after finishing a skewer and when you turned to him, any apprehension you had towards him was gone. "This is delicious!"
When you had recreated his signature dish back at home, you clearly didn't do any justice for his signature dish. Perhaps it was the wine, no, it was definitely the wine you had used that failed to capture it's essense.
"I'm glad you liked it. You are. . quite enamored with food huh?"
You weren't offended by his remarks, instead you proudly sat straighter, as you jabbed your thumb towards yourself "That's right. I'm a foodie."
"A foodie?" he repeated, a certain shift in his tone that you hadn't noticed.
"That's right," you smiled "a foodie is basically a person who is very interested in food!"
"That seems like an understatement, when I take you for an example." At his words you blushed, chuckling as you remembered how you rant off moments ago, on just the sumeru dishes alone.
The two of you began eating in the kitchens, you were sure Adelinde had pop by once but immediately closed the door but you weren't too sure. Kaeya wasn't bothered, taking the time to savor the meal as you decided to return the favor by making some desert.
I use he/they pronouns for the slime, they/them for hilichurls but some I used he/him. The samachurl is he/they. Since I'm writing a female reader, i usually use her, but it's mostly 'you'.
I'm sorry you had to leave them, it's for the story's progression.
oh and this story is going to be definitely lighthearted with a few pinches of angst, how you treat characters when you were playing the game will definitely affect their standing on you. Well at least in Jean's case.

in which: you need to make it to liyue harbour in time so you can give kazuha a piece of your mind and a response to his love letter.
cw: fluff, 1.3k words, not too sure how canon accurate this is, potentially ooc-kazuha, gn!reader from inazuma, confessions, two wholesome idiots in love
a/n: for my little sibling @sixosix, i hope you enjoy
Liyue, out of all regions in Teyvat, is the hardest to run through.
It’s mountainous, your muscles will ache from going uphill, your ankles will be sore the next day from going too fast downhill. It’s grassy, the gravel is rough against the soles of your feet, and there is an abundance of hillichurls and samachurls waiting for you with their clubs and shields. Yet, they provide more motivation for you to outrun them, speeding right by their camps to get to Liyue Harbour in time.
Stupid Kaedehara Kazuha, when you see him, he’s in for an earful from you. Making you run from Lingju Pass all the way back to the Harbour, doesn’t he know how much you despise running for long periods of time?
A break is not plausible, especially when Beidou’s boat could leave the dock at any minute now.
When Liyue’s bustling harbour is in sight, it’s vast oceans appearing out the horizon, you feel like you can breathe. The sunlight glimmering on the ocean cheers you on, and you won’t stop until the waves are underneath your feet, the only thing separating you from them being wooden planks.
You push through crowds, too tired and determined to be polite and apologetic to shoppers you push aside. You run past Mingxing Jewelry, Wanmin Restaurant, and Master Zhang’s workshop, and don’t stop until you, yourself, are climbing onto the Crux. Crew members are shouting in protest at your sudden appearance, yelling at your unexplained entrance.
There are people trying to pull you off the boat, and you don’t really know where the strength to push off burly sailors came from, but you successfully fend off all of them, and find Beidou at the bow of the ship.
“Where is Kazuha?” You demand, decorum be screwed, nothing can stop your momentum now.
Her uncovered eye lights up in amusement, a hint of knowing behind her crimson gaze. “Right behind you.”
Lo and behold, the beige-haired in question was right behind you. “Uh, hello?”
“I have a bone to pick with you, Kazuha!” Stomping over to him, he grabs your wrist before you have another chance to talk, dragging you away from the bow of the ship where all the crewmates were unloading their cargo. (Beidou’s thundering laughter can be heard as he’s dragging you away, at least she’s not mad at your sudden intrusion.)
He stops when the two of you are on the quarter deck and turns to look at you with panic all over his face.
“What did I do?”
From your pocket, you pull out a piece of paper like it’s an incriminating piece of evidence, one that he’s stared at for too long, so much so that he can recall every dip and curve of the dry-pressed leaves he added on for a more personal touch. It has sat on his desk for ages, seen all of his turmoils and frustrations over delivering it to you.
The paper contains a mix of poems, haikus, and different confessions Kazuha has been harbouring in his heart for the past few years, ever since the two of you left Inazuma. Your hand clutching his gloved one as the two of you hurry onto Beidou’s boat with nothing but your visions, weapons, and the clothes on your back.
He has loved you for this entire journey, and words could not surmise the depth of his feelings, let alone a measly piece of paper. Some days, it sees the sun when he dares it to, but it always ends up right back on his desk, waiting for the day that it will leave Kazuha’s possession and fall into yours.
This morning was the exact moment. He slipped it in your bag before you went on your expedition, the two of you meeting for a quiet breakfast before his eight-month long expedition, and your two-week one. He had waved you goodbye as far as he could go before leaving Liyue Harbour, even staying on the outskirts until your group left his sight.
Nothing could have prepared him for seeing you so soon, not after putting that letter in your backpack.
“You’re a coward!” You accuse immediately, poking your finger to his chest. “A lousy coward!”
He takes it, knows that he should have just braved his fears and handed it to you in person, but the idea of being rejected on the spot causes his chest to ache in unbearable ways. The samurai rather you read it, then have eight months to prepare for your inevitable rejection.
Yet, he should have known that in the face of a storm, you are the only one brave enough to fight against the waves. Nothing ever goes the way he wants when it’s with you.
“You should probably sit down, Y/n, your legs are shaking and I’ll grab you some-”
Your hands fly up to grab the sleeves of his kimono, whether to stabilise yourself, or to stop him from leaving, or both, he stays. “Kaedehara Kazuha, I like you too,” you declare. “I just ran all the way from Lingju Pass, so I have nothing flowery nor sweet to say like your letter except that you are so very mean for making me come all this way.”
With one last heaved breath, you collapse to your knees. Kazuha, being the gentleman he is, freaks out and mimics your actions, clinging onto your shoulders.
“Y/n!” He calls out, his usually level voice breaching a panicked cry. “You shouldn’t be exerting yourself like this. Stay here, I’ll go grab water water.”
Listening to the samurai, you rest against a nearby pillar, feeling the dull aches in all muscles of your legs. Archons, you’ll feel the pain tenfold tomorrow.
Kazuha returns not too long with a canteen in hand, and he twists it open before handing it to you. After a few beats of tense silence, he speaks up.
“Honestly, I don’t really have anything to say either, I wasn’t expecting to see you for another eight months, and even then, I was expecting a rejection.” He admits sheepishly, a blush blooming along his cheeks. “Maybe an apology for making you run all this way just to see me is my first course of action.”
“Accept my confession first, jerk,” you punch his shoulder lightly, smiling up at him.
“I’ll accept anything so long as it’s from you, I thought I made that clear in my letter.”
“Don’t think you can charm your way into my good graces!”
He thinks it’s adorable that you’re trying to maintain your cool mask despite your inability to look him in the eye, even if he’s hardly faring much better. The usual lyricism of his words have faded, and his quick mind can’t think of anything poetic to say, as if your confession has intercepted all the functions of his brain.
You like him back, you like him back, you like him back, and he doesn’t know what to do with that information except smile like an idiot.
“Are you still going on your expedition?” asks Kazuha. “Your group must be waiting for you.”
“I told them not to, dumped my rations and things with them and told them they could use it. I’m not running all the way back now.”
“Then, does that mean you can join us?”
“I don’t want to intrude, and I don’t know if you have enough things on board for another-”
“-I’m sure Beidou and the crew wouldn’t mind. There are always extra rations, you can have some of mine if it gets to it, and our first stop is at sunset, so we could go and grab some clothes for you to bring along!” He quickly suggests, hope shining brightly in those crimson eyes of his, as if pleading for you to say yes.
The wind blows gently through his beige strands, and the moment feels enchantingly similar to one you had read in an Inazuman poem. Then again, Kazuha always had that effect; the ability to slow time and let you see the world through a different, prettier lens, even if the consequences were completely dire.
You want to continue seeing through his lens, exactly the way you did when both of you fled Inazuma and the Vision hunt Decree. And you want to see the rest of Teyvat the way he does.
“Okay.” You agree, “I’ll come along.”

When they call you their wife (Genshin Impact Version)
Fandom: Genshin Impact Pairing: Kaeya x reader, Diluc x Reader, Zhongli x Reader, Xiao x Reader Other characters: ehh, I think I mentiones Traveler in Zhongli's part, Diluc is also mentioned in Kaeya's part Category: Romance, scenarios Warnings: There's a little bit of violence in Xiao's part but it's not detailed. I think that's it! Author's note: It's ten days since the beggining of the year, happy new year people! Sorry about the delay, I'm terrible with time so... yeah there's that better late than sorry! Hope you enjoy~
Kaeya
“And this beautiful lady is my dear wife”
This man lives to see people's reactions to what he does and says. So he bets to himself what your reaction will be to every of his crazy ideas, so maybe he teases you a lot and flirts with you shamelessly.
He went to Sumeru to represent Jean since she was very occupied. You, on your part, were assigned to protect him since he was an important diplomat of Mondstadt.
You tried to be as professional as possible but it was hard when Kaeya found every opportunity to flirt with you.
Kaeya is a gentleman around you, treating you like his date rather than his guard.
So he makes you relax, he makes you laugh with his comments. When he hears you were assigned because of your dexterity with the sword he gets interested in your story.
Where did you learn to fight? When did you start? Who was your master? You went to the akademya? You were a Mat, Matra?
Kaeya gets really invested so you decide to answer his questions only if he answers them too.
And Kaeya is happy to reveal all of his stories and secrets to know you because you are not like most people, you don't get frightened when he says he once woke up a ruin guardian to win a fight.
“It a valid gamble” you say while nodding and Kaeya’s eyes bright like he just heard the most beautiful music of all Teyvat.
When Kaeya finally has to go back to Mondstadt you are informed that you will have the mission to bring him back to the capital of Wind safe and sound.
It was a long and tiring trip, you had to defend yourself and him more than once and Kaeya was more than happy to fight by your side.
There was only one problem in the last part of your journey: a Samachurl Froze your ankle and while you were able to kill it the frostbite was a problem.
Kaeya, ever the gentleman carried you to a safe place, the house of his childhood: Dawn’s Winery
He knocked at the door and was faced with a surprised Adeline, who hurried to get everything needed to help you.
Maybe an hour later Kaeya’s brother appeared and explained your situation, only that he presented you as his wife.
Diluc was taken aback when Kaeya presented you as his wife. He looked at his brother with a specially deep frown, making Kaeya say: “It was love at first drink”
There are three options: one were Diluc apologizes…
“My apologize, it seems my brother hurt his head and is speaking nonsense”
Another option is if you are someone who is honest and you react nervously, denying his statement, Kaeya will laugh and tells you, in a joking tone, that you don't have to get shy, this is his brother!
The last option is if you act all composed, there's a chance that Diluc will smile and sarcastically play along, as you two chat, ignoring Kaeya who will definitely get touchy at the lack of attention.
If you laugh and play along with him, he will most definitely hug you by the waist and start calling you his wife for every goddamn reason he can think of.
“My wife would like a glass of water” “I can't give that to my wife” “Diluc, she is my wife be polite” Now Kaeya can't stop calling you his wife.
Diluc
“Carefull now, Mr.client, That's my wife you are talking about”
Diluc won't call you his wife if it's not true, so you are married to the Dark knight hero, the thing is: Almost no one knows about you two because Diluc doesn't want to put you in danger.
You two met at the Angel's Share. You were a knight of favonius, he was bartending.
You had gone there to celebrate someone's birthday, only that unlike the rest you didn't ask for an alcoholic beverage, you asked for apple cider.
While everyone got plastered you chatted the night away with Diluc.
Let me tell you, Diluc was happy to talk to someone who wasn't complaining about his life nor was drunk. It was one of the best nights of his life.
So maybe, when you forgot your vision on the bar to go help one of your friends, he didn't say anything, wanting to have a reason to look for you.
Oh, and he looked for you the next day!
Everyone was shitting their pants when they saw Diluc entering the headquarters. Everyone was wondering what he was doing there, if there was a crisis, if… wait, why was he talking to you?
Diluc gave back your vision and since that moment he found the way to get involved with you.
That being said, he proposed after two years of knowing you and the wedding was at the Dawn Winery and was very, very small.
Persons who where at the wedding: Kaeya, Jean, Lisa and Adelinde, besides the nun who officiated the wedding. (I said it was a small wedding!)
I mean, being Mrs. Ragvindir would put you up in the list of people to kidnap in Monstadt, not because of the dark knight hero thing, no, no, no. It's because of the mora.
He only calls you his wife because he has to instill fear in the bones of the man who dared to speak about you
What did the man said? “That Y/n, she has such a pretty ass, have you seen it?... Come on! She looks like such a slut with that skimpy clothes, I would love to spank…”
And Diluc is not going to let anyone talk about his wife, like that in his own bar.
Yes maybe you are a Favonius’ knight and yes it's true your ass is pretty, especially when you use shorts… but no one is allowed to talk about you like that, like you are nothing but an object.
Okay, maybe he can but only when he's alone with you in the middle of some dirty session of love making.
When he say those words, he’s totally saying them to scare the shit out of whoever dared to be disrespectful to you. Because, a menace from him is something to fear, he was the youngest calvary captainof the knights. He was a master swordman.
Diluc knows you can defend yourself, you probably will kick this drunkard ass, but he prefers to instill fear in people than have you getting in trouble with Jean.
Don't get mad at Diluc, he’s a bit overprotective of you because he loves you.
The man suddenly sobers up as soon as his ears registered Diluc words. He looks ashamed and regretful of his choice of words, he offers an apology and leave because it's so damn late!
As soon as Diluc sees you back home, he can't avoid looking at you with adoration only to confess his slip up the moment you two are having dinner.
The only thing you can say is: “It's about time everyone knows”
Zhongli
“Oh, Y/n is my wife, didn't I mentioned it?”
He was 3,000 years old when he met you. You were the prettiest living being he had ever seen.
A minor Goddess with strong wings that adorned your back. A Goddess enslaved to be a gift to the lord of vortex, send heavily guarded in a caravan that happened to pass near the Guili plains thanks to an accidental detour
You were the goddess of Song and the Dawn, the bringer of peace after a nightmare.
Zhongli could forget even his own name but he would never forget your panicked expression when your eyes landed on him.
He was so damn tall, intimidating and serious that you had thought the Dragon wanted to keep you for himself.
However, Morax had opened the cage and told you in a stern and cold voice that you were free.
You were so afraid that you didn't step out until he got away from you. Then you flew away in the form of a bright and colorful bird.
You didn't plan to go back to where he was but curiosity got the best of you, so you went back and watched Morax in silence from the distance.
The Adepti tried to scare you away unsure of how to deal with you stalking the prime Adepti. However, you didn't budge. Everyday you appeared in your bird form to sing to Morax and wake him up.
Slowly the adepti accepted your presence, they even started to try and get you to stay a little bit more since Morax started asking about the bird he has been hearing.
Morax one day woke up earlier only to tell you that you could stay for breakfast and since that moment you two started to eat together.
You were grateful to him and looked for forms to let him know, from giving him flowers, act as his messenger to the Yaksha and even sing for him. He had saved you from being a concubine of Osial, there was too much to be grateful.
Between this acts of devotion, Morax started to pay more and more attention to you and even when he didn’t understand his feelings he knew one thing: He wanted to keep you close and keep you safe.
Thousands of years were needed but you two ended up getting married.
Now, in all of this more than 3,000 years of Marriage he has called you Wife, but I really like this time when he forgot to introduce you as his wife because for him is common knowledge. Everyone knows Rex Lapis is married to the goddess of Song and Dawn. Everyone who is important to him knows you.
Those being, the adepti..
But the traveler saw you two eating together one afternoon. And they saw you walking together by the bay while holding hands. Another day he saw you clinging to Zhongli’s arm while he seemed to be explaining something to you.
They assumed you two were dating. They even got to speak to you for a commission, something about a ring made of noctiluose jade.
So Traveler being a little rascal started talking about you with Zhongli and he seemed to be happy to talk about you.
“When are you gonna ask her to marry you?” Traveler asks mischievously and Zhongli laughs and say the phrase.
The travelers gets all surprised but then asks how did that happened and Zhongli is proud to explain how he managed to ask for your hand.
Next time traveler meets you, they notice the ring around your finger.
However, they notice thewhole ring is made of Cor lapis.
As you notice their curious gaze you tell him the story about how Rex lapis made Cor lapis only to propose to you.
Which makes sense since Cor lapis literally means “Heart of stone”
Xiao
“Get your hands away from my wife!”
Xiao is not a man of many words, he’s terrible at expressing his feelings to everyone.
And I mean everyone, even with you.
However, you should know that he will never call you his wife if he isn't married to you.
This is because he once heard Zhongli telling something along the lines of: “Marriage is the most sacred of contracts”
Now listed, you two met because of Zhongli/Morax. You were the first minor Goddess who relinquished your divinity to Morax and was left almost with no power, so Morax asked Xiao to take care of you.
And Xiao, being the obedient Yaksha he is, took care of you during the Archon War, and maybe that’s why you survived to such massacre.
As I have stated before, Xiao is bad with his feelings but it is good that you can basically read his emotions.
Your love story was a very, agonizingly slow burn, however when Xiao understood that you were never going to leave him, that you loved him and there was no way to change that, only then he gave up trying to get away from you… and he asked you to marry him.
For hundreds of years, Xiao called you his wife only when you two were alone. For him it was a term of endearment.
“Wife” oh, he says it with such softness and love, it makes you fall for him again! You don’t even mind that your marriage is practically a secret.
But there’s always a first time for everything. And the first time he called you his wife in public… It was something else. It wasn’t something born from his love and devotion, it was a warning.
For what felt like years he had endured listening to men flirt with you in Wangshu Inn. Every god damn male seemed to have the goal of stealing you from him. There were some female humans trying to catch your attention, but they were more subtle, smarter.
There was a man who pretended to be interested in your life as an adventurer, asking questions all the time. There was another who tried to catch your attention with food. There was a woman who wanted to take pictures of you and always told you, you were perfect. The worst one, was the one who tried to teach you martial arts.
You only accepted out of pure pressure, since he insisted so much. You were already an excellent fighter, only that you used a weapon of your choice.
The worst part was that he always corrected you, pressing his palm in your abdomen or your lower back.
Xiao usually didn’t pay attention since he didn’t felt jealous, he only peaked since you were making that little sound of annoyance you always did. That small “mhhh”
When he saw that man putting his hands on your hips to “correct” your already perfect posture, he just lost it.
It wasn’t just his anger and frustration, that was his karmic debt taking control. In a second Primordial Jade Winged-Spear was in his hands and he attacked blindly.
The man let go of you and tried to be a hero, only to be hit and cut by Xiao. Let’s be sincere, if it weren’t for you the “martial art master” would be dead, because Xiao is extremely strong.
Anyway, you fought your dear husband and pinned him to the ground until he calmed down. The “martial art master” ran away half beaten, forgetting about you.
Let’s just say, no one has flirted with you since that day.

A Boar? In This Economy? Pt. 3
⋘ Previous Part » ♡︎
૮꒰˶ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ˶꒱ა Pairings : GN! Boar Reader x Mondstadt (Genshin World)
૮꒰ྀི∩´ ᵕ `∩꒱ྀིა W.K. : 3.1k
໒꒰ྀིᵔ ᵕ ᵔ ꒱ྀི১ Tags/CW&TW : Fluff to angst to fluff again, crack
You thought that the interaction you had with the boys would be enough to satiate you for a long while.
Well you were wrong.
Because now all you wanted to do was go into Mondstadt and see everyone.
There was one thing holding you back, however…
…And that was wondering where the story was.
Now, you unironically had been getting “vIsIoNs Of ThE fUtUrE”, or rather the updates and current story as it continued in your world.
Your world…
Shaking off the slight homesickness, continued on your mission. Finding out where ever which ever sibling was in the story.
What you weren’t expecting however was to watch a Paimon being fished out by a hungry looking Aether.
Oh Gods.
Oh Fuck.
THE STORY HASN’T EVEN STARTED????
This is new, considering that in nearly every fic about the SAGAU the story was up to the current update or it had stopped all together.
… Did you mention that you were a vivid reader of fanfiction? And player of Genshin? Because you were.
Tiptoeing backwards, you suddenly hear the shrill voice of a certain fairy… as in fairly large pain in your ass-
“Oh! If you’re really hungry you should go hunt that boar right there! I’ve never seen a painted one though…”
OH SHIT OH FUCK-
You ran away before the blonde could even turn around, hearing Paimon’s voice call out for you to stand still. No you weren’t gonna stand still!
You continued to run, cursing yourself out in your head for being noticed.
You were happy where you were! With your family! You already interacted with Mondstadt in the form of Razor and Bennet, that was enough!
You rushed deeper and deeper into the forest, stopping when you noticed your family ahead. Trotting before them, you laid down in front of the fire.
Ever since finding you, they refused to eat boar meat, switching to fox and bird so you wouldn’t have to sit and watch them cook something that looked like you, which was nice.
Right now they were roasting a bird over the fire, spices filling your nose as you curled up around it. Another change was the increase of Mita and Lawa and samachurls at the camp. Two of each element for each type of churl to protect the camp, and you.
This was also true for other mobs. Slimes and Whopperflowers, anything else in the immediate area. The number was upped.
And with your heightened heart rate?
The number only went up.
૮꒰づ˶• ༝ •˶꒱づ ˚ʚ ꒰⁐⁐⁐⁐୨🍰🍦🍫୧⁐⁐⁐⁐꒱ ɞ˚
By now, Aether and the small girl he had come to find was named Paimon had already cleared out a Hilichurl camp with the Outrider of Mondstadt, Amber.
Wiping sweat off her forehead, she turned to the duo.
“For some reason, the number of Hilichurl camps has been growing rapidly in the past year, even more so than before. Your help is immensely appreciated!” She said, sighing.
Aether only stood by before speaking up.
“Have you seen a painted boar around here?” He questioned.
“Oh! Yeah! The Boar of the Wilds! Yeah, quite the trouble maker they are. They’re a weird boar too, sticking around Hilichurls and the such. But they help the kids so we don’t see them as too much of a threat. Why?” Amber smiled as she turned around to face the Traveler, who was glaring at a now heavily sweating Paimon.
“No reason…” He said through grit teeth, making Paimon shake and mutter something about ‘not knowing’ or something of the sort.
“Well anyway, let’s get you into the city Traveler!”
And with that, the trio continued on their walk, unaware of the slime watching them.
૮꒰づ˶• ༝ •˶꒱づ ˚ʚ ꒰⁐⁐⁐⁐୨🍪🍮🧁୧⁐⁐⁐⁐꒱ ɞ˚
So you really are at the start of the story.
You paced around the fire as your family watched sitting cross legged.
You had two options:
1. Travel with Aether and see all 7 nations.
Or
2. Stay where you are and live with your family till the story ends.
Your first instinct was, of course, to stay with your family. You had built a life here, no matter how crude.
Your family cared for you and you them. These specific mobs were going to live on in your heart and you’d be damned if you’d leave them. Because if you did, the odds of travelers and others of that nature might find them and…
Well you didn’t want to think of what’d happen.
You shook you head and snorted, pacing faster. You ignored the worried cries of those around you as you continued to think.
Now that the story started, that meant that shit was about the hit the fan.
You had noticed a lack of Divalin, and more windstorms. With how happy things had been, you tired to ignore it.
Ignore the signs.
But a small voice in the background of your head had told you.
It told you that the story had started. That you’d have to do something.
But if you did you’d mess up the whole story, and then you wouldn’t be able to predict what happens next and you’d loose all sense of control you felt you’d had.
The abyss.
You glanced back at your family.
One thing you made sure of was that there were no Abyss Mages around. Without them, your family was more than docile around humans, not truly seeing a reason to hurt them without cause.
When they would try to reverse the curse… if you left your family…
…
…
… You rammed into a tree.
Small screams erupted from them as the tree tilted over and fell, the top splintered from the bottom where you rammed it. Letting out a loud squeal, you rammed into another.
Why was this so difficult??
On the one hand, with your knowledge you could probably make so many lives better and easier!
But on the other, after you help one, it could cause a ripple effect and make you loose your grasp on what was happening, leaving you unable to help.
And with cautious you were, you didn’t even know if you’d come back if you’d die!
Would you be willing to die for these people?
Another tree fell.
You’d die easier than a human, what happens if you die.
What happens if you’re forced to leave your family?!
You rammed another tree.
Your breathing quickened and your eyes started to water.
The wind began to pick up.
When your hooves made contact with the ground, the earth rumbled.
You could no longer hear the shouts and cries of those around you.
What would happen when you died?
Would your blood be gold?
More trees fell.
Your eyes were blurred with tears.
You were barreling through the Forrest at this point, mind of every type crying out to you.
Crying out for you to stop.
You didn’t want to die.
But others would die for you.
You could stop so much.
… You could’ve stopped so much.
When the thought hit that while you’ve been messing around for just over a year, people were getting hurt, you ran faster, and hit harder.
The wind whipped harder. When you looked up you noticed Stormterror and Aether fighting above the city.
Had you been so caught up in your own stupid emotions that you failed to notice the city closest to you was under attack?!
How fucking STUPID could you be?!?!
You rammed harshly into a large tree, being stopped by both the winds of Teyvat and the sheer thickness of the tree.
Shaking your head you looked up.
… The Symbol of Mondstadt’s Hero.
You had ran all the way to Windrise.
Hiccups forced their way out of snout and tears poured out of your eyes.
You sobbed.
Everything was blurry and your ears were ringing. You were tired of thinking.
You barely registered the Pyro Samachurl laying a churl blanket around your back while warming it.
More and more mobs surrounded your sobbing form and slowly cuddled around you. Warming you.
And eventually, you fell asleep under the large and warm pile of Hilichurls, Mitachurls, Lawachurls, Samachurls, Slimes, Whopperflowers, other boars, foxes, and birds.
You were safe. You were loved.
૮꒰づ˶• ༝ •˶꒱づ ˚ʚ ꒰⁐⁐⁐⁐୨🍰🍧🍮୧⁐⁐⁐⁐꒱ ɞ˚
“You have to check it out! I understand that the main issue is The Stormterror, but Miss. Jean! It’s a large pile of monsters and animals! This could pose a great threat!”
The distressed traveler continued to rant at the Acting Grand Master, causing her to sigh.
Everything lately had been so stressful, even with the help of the Blonde Traveler. Currently they were with Lisa at The Temple of the Lion.
She genuinely, truly didn’t want to ask them to help with this.
So she decided to check it out on her own.
Standing from her desk, she walked around to shake the hand of the now silent traveler.
“Don’t worry. I’ll check it out and do what I can to help in the situation.”
She was met with many thanks from them as they shook her hand up and down with vigor.
Lord Barbatos she was tired…
Making sure she was all ready to go and had her trusty Aquila Favonia, and headed out.
Nodding at everyone she passed, she quickly made her way out of the city and towards the place of interest.
The place said to be the historical ground of her hero, Vanessa’s ascension to Celestia.
The Symbol of Mondstadt’s Hero, Windrise.
Running her way over, it was very apparent that the Traveler was not kidding. She could see the large multicolored blob from where she was, though it wasn’t moving.
The thing had just recently appeared, but that didn’t change the fact that this was still dangerous.
Creeping towards the pile, she was met with the cacophonous sound of snores from monster and animal alike.
And she was now confused.
Never in Jean’s life had she ever seen a fox curled around a Sawachurl. Or a bird sleeping peacefully on a Lawachurl. Or boars cuddled up with Mita and Hilichurls.
Wait.
Boars cuddled up with… oh.
Sighing she readied her sword to attack and find where that boar was under all this, before a Frostarm Lawachurl shook itself awake. The sudden movement startled her and she was met with the blank carved eyes of its mask boring into hers.
The two stared for a bit, before it huffed and laid back down, cuddling into a Blazing Axe Mitachurl who was… well… cuddling it’s still-red-but-put-out axe.
Jean was bewildered at the interaction, standing from her attack position. Looking more, she took a risk.
She stepped forward.
She was met with whirrling of a Ruin Guard starting up.
If what she was thinking was true, then why was anything of Ruin here?! The boar hadn’t been known to wander into any of the shrines or otherwise where they may have been found!
She was met with a Guard turning to her. Again she readied for an attack.
Only to be met with small ‘beeps’ and ‘boops’.
It, like the Lawachurl only glanced at her, before lying back down.
Okay, what was going on?!
Now she just decided to walk through the large crowd, though through is a strong word. On was more like it.
And as she got closer to the large Oak tree, she noticed the dip right at its trunk. The pile only got larger, and when she got to the trunk, there was a large divet. Jumping down, she was met with the culprit she thought she’d meet.
The boar.

Being shaken awake was not what you wanted right now.
Groaning and huffing, you tired to push the hand off, only causing it or come back and push harder.
You continued to shove it off until it finally stopped. You sighed in relief and snuggled back into the warmth around you, falling back asleep.
At least, until you heard the scared cries of a Sawachurl.
Cracking your eyes open you immediately notice an angered(??) Jean standing over you and a Pyro Sawachurl. And she was directing that anger(???) towards the small churl.
Oh. Hell. No.
Jumping up you lightly but into her. Though your ‘light but’ sent her crashing into the large wall of bodies behind her.
Which started to wake up the large pile.
Animals and monsters grunted and groaned as Jean stood in shock at the ripple effect of your actions.
You were just watching a fox climb up the tree in interest.
The whole pile had woken up, standing confused at you and the only human. Jean was noticeable tense.
Shaking off the blanket, you snorted, grunted and oinked into the crowd. And after a moment, they began to disperse, much to Jean’s amazement.
“How did you… anyway. You can’t do… this anymore, alright? I don’t understand how you got these monsters and otherwise to not attack humans but I’ll have you know that you gave passing travelers quite the scare. You understand, right?” Jean asked.
You stood and gently nodded, still tired and slightly overwhelmed by past thoughts.
She sighed and made a decision.
Walking behind you - making you look at her with interest - she wrapped her hands around your midsection and picked you up, causing you to struggle.
Your distressed squeals filled the air as she began to explain. “I just - ngh - need to keep an eye on - hey watch it! - keep an eye on you - ow!” Her words were interrupted by your squirming and moving in her arms, but at her words you slowed.
… Right. The Stormterror situation.
She looked down with concern when she noticed you no longer struggling - she was expecting a fight the whole way - and was startled by the far off look in your eye.
Sucking it up, she began to carry you back to The Knights of Favonius Headquarters.

Seeing you in the office was not what Kaeya was expecting.
Having never met you personally but hearing stories around the city, seeing you in Jeans office sat beside her desk was a surreal experience.
The only reason he was here and not waiting for the Traveler was because he had been told the Jean had left, and with Lisa also not there, he was in charge for the moment.
Was he just a bit pissy that he was the only asked after they realized Lisa was gone?
But by the time he got back it didn’t matter because Jean and… you were already there.
He barely got a word in anyway because the door swung open with the Librarian and Traveler in tow.
“We’re back!~” Called Lisa. Aether stood behind her, red in the face. Kaeya wasn’t shocked with how… sultry she could be.
She was definitely an acquired taste, that was for sure.
But the moment of peace was broken by your loud squeals and oinks of distress, and the blue-coded man noticed you were looking at their new blonde friend.
And when you got up to start running, he made a split second decision.
He dove for you.
૮꒰づ˶• ༝ •˶꒱づ ˚ʚ ꒰⁐⁐⁐⁐୨🍯🍡🍫୧⁐⁐⁐⁐꒱ ɞ˚
A sharp crack was heard when your hoof made contact with Kaeya’s face.
You stood startled for a moment, before making eye contact with Aether again and panicking all over again.
You hadn’t made your decision!
You thought you’d at least get until he finished the Main Story Quest to make your decision!
Your panicking and running form was confined to the room as Jean commanded the doors be shut and locked from the outside.
This choice was made clear after you made a b-line for the door and rammed into it. You stumbled a bit for a second before running around again.
Using any kind of Vision or otherwise was immediately out of the picture due to the confined space and bunches of important documents and books in the vicinity.
Jean also tried to make a grab out you, which worked for a second… until you infused your body with Electro, shocking the shit out of her.
Now they had no clue what to do.
Well wait… nevermind.
Trying to coral you was the best bet.
And that’s what they did. But that just made you more wild.
Didn’t they ever hear the saying “A cornered animal will fight twice as hard.”?
Because that’s exactly what happened.
You rammed into walls and windows, no longer squealing but screaming.
It sounded sickeningly human to them.
You rammed past them and into the desk, causing a sharp letter opener to fall onto you.
Slicing your skin and making you bleed.
Gold.
It shined as you collapsed to the floor. Shaking and crying. Tired and hungry.
Those who were awake - you knocked out Kaeya - stood in shock as you continued to cry.
Lisa silently traced the paint on your fur. It’s swirling patters that, now that she saw them and was analyzing them anyway, looked like the patterns that lined the statues of their Creator.
Jean finally thought about your odd relationship with the creatures of Teyvat. How they listened to you and became docile in your presence. How they payed attention to only you and never harmed humans when around you. You calmed them. Like the Creator.
Paimon - who watched the ordeal from a corner in fear - put together how the fauna blocked Aether from reaching you and how the wind seemed to boost you away from the duo. How Teyvat seemed to help you. Much like it would the creator.
Jean and Lisa turned to each other. They just thought you had a weird mutation or something of the sort! Maybe even a vision! Would be the first time an animal got given a vision but that’s what they chalked it up to!
But this… they thought of who they thought was the Creator who was sitting on their throne right now, enjoying the finer things in life.
They were… lying?
The person they had been worshipping for.. years now.. was FUCKING LYING?!?!
Jean dropped to her knees and Lisa shook.
A whispered murmur left Paimon’s lips which startled Aether.
“The Creator…”

Waking up in the med bay of The Knights of Favonius Headquarters was not what you were expecting.
A bandage was wrapped around your midsection and a guard was stationed at your door.
The most shocking thing however, was that every Vision Holder in Mondstadt - including the Traveler - was in your room.
Even Albedo and Eula.
Shaking and coughing alerted them to your now awake status. Those who were seated now stood.
You noted the bandage on Kaeya’s chin and felt bad.
Though that quickly turned to confusion when everyone - again, including Aether - bowed.
Then that confusion turned to fear as they spoke in unison.
“Our humblest greetings, O’ great Creator.”
…Shit.

Oracle!Reader Part 13
Masterlist - Part 1, Part 12, Part 14
Warning! As usual, there are descriptions of violence, gore, and death! Ya know, the usual yandere imposter sagau stuff.
Leaning against a tree, you finished the last volume in 'Hilichurl cultural custom'. It was definitely the most informative with the next being 'Hilichurl Ballad Section'. You didn't plan on studying the Hilichurl language but it could come in handy.
You just didn't bother finishing 'Draft Hilichurl ballads'. Ella Musk's rough translation paper in her commission would be far more helpful than that. The game screen is closed as you think back to what you memorized.
Hilichurls worshipped the elements rather than the Seven, which makes sense due to their Khaenri'ah bloodline. Could you use the elemental power in your possession to distract them? Would they recognize you as they can control elements or would the curse from Celestia interfere?
Twirling your sickle mindlessly you keep watch on the camp as hilichurls continuously walk around. A Mitachurl carrying a rock shield sat in the base as a Geo Samachurl helped construct a tower.
Actually, now that you think about it, isn't it kind of strange how this is your first time encountering a Hilichurl? One of the most common enemies that appears in almost every location, yet it's only when you purposefully search for one that you-
"Mimi ye?"
Jumping away from the tree in shock, a sharp gasp escapes you as you turn around, your sickle held firmly. You resist the urge to raise it in defense.
A Hilichurl stands now in front of you with a crossbow, tilting its head. It would be cute if you weren't hyper-aware of the weapon in its hands. Relaxing your posture, the sickle in your hand is hanging to avoid making the hilichurl feel threatened.
"Hello, do you want something from me?" Awkwardly smiling at the masked creature, you speak slowly in hopes of not exciting it.
"Celi dada, mimi nunu!" It walks closer to you, making you cringe internally from the smell. It's not just a smell from bad hygiene, it smells like death.
"Are you curious about me? Do you want to see something cool?" You wait for it to react, which it does by strolling a bit closer before presenting your sickle.
It stops at the sight of the weapon and you watch nervously as its grip tightens on the crossbow. Hurriedly you push the Electro to crackle through the weapon but you don't swing it.
Not even as the Hilichurl begins to load an arrow.
"Nini movo muhe yoyo!" You repeat the few phrases that you drilled into your mind. The pronunciation is bad and the accent is horrible but the message is received by the Hilichurl.
The arrow is slowly removed from the crossbow as the Hilichurl points to the Electro and asks, "Eleka mimi-a-Domu?"
Racking your brain to recall what it's trying to ask you, you nod hastily. It wasn't attacking you so whatever it asked hopefully wasn't bad.
The Hilichurl begins to circle you as it gets closer, seemingly inspecting you. "Muhe ye! Mimi tomo!"
'Muhe ye' was something praiseworthy if you remembered correctly. It suddenly begins to push you towards the camp while repeating the same phrase.
Not willing to risk angering it, you let it push you down the hill and cross the small river of water. Your sickle disappears in gold specks before the other Hilichurls and Geo Samachurl spot you.
They all tense up with their weapons ready yet they don't attack until the Hilichurl pushes you in front of them. It begins to speak to the whole group loudly as they all peer at you from behind it.
"Mimi mosi ye mita!" Hilichurlian is spoken quickly as you look at the half-finished tower and the second tower that was completed. Could the towers be part of the worship they hold to Teyvat?
"Ya!?" The rock shield Mitachurl suddenly storms down the stairs from the main camp making you stare up at the Mitachurl in panic.
Shit, shit this was getting out of hand. Looking around the camp for some form of escape or distraction, the Samachurl stomps his staff onto the ground twice.
"Celi upa celi! Ye dada!" The Samachurl yells out, making the rest of the Hilichurls cheer and begin working faster on the second tower. You could hardly focus on that as the Mitachurl stops in front of you with a mean glare.
It towers over you with the rock shield looking almost as heavy as you. A snort of hot, stinky breath is pushed onto your face making your features scrunch up in disgust.
It begins to argue with the Samachurl as you recover from the horrid smell of the group. You weren't being attacked so that was a good sign, but how were you supposed to lead them away?
Multiple hands begin to drag you toward the half-built towers with their overgrown nails tickling your skin. Not wanting to be forced, you keep pace with the group. Looking down to not trip, you notice their feet.
It was kinda strange how they had five fingers but only three toes. The cloth-like fabric of their charcoal skin was also strange along with the horn-like features on their head. Perhaps the curse melted their clothing with them into one being? That would help explain why they wore so little clothing even in harsh climates.
The Hilichurls pushed you into helping with the tower construction, they all seemed enthusiastic to have you on board. Working with them, instead of fighting against them was far more ideal even if you had more work to do when it came to destroying the towers.
Not long after helping finish the tower, the Hilichurls and Samachurl celebrate. The Mitachurl sits on the perch on the base camp as the Samachurl begins to sway his staff.
"Eleka mimi-a-Domu~ Mita domu-a-dada!" As the Samachurl begins to sing, the hilichurls dance around both towers in sync. Sitting down you watch it curiously while keeping an eye on the Mitachurl.
"Mimi mosi ye mita!" From what the books said this song was supposed to be sung during festivals. What could they be celebrating?
A few Hilichurls arrive at the camp holding Geo clubs and shields. They pause at the sight of you until the Samachurl speaks to them, making them calm down.
One of them seems heavily injured and is escorted into the main camp with bleeding wounds. The smell of iron mingles unpleasantly with the sweat and dirt in the air. God, you regret having a working sense of smell.
The rest of the group brought back meat and rotting fruit? The meat was put to cook over the fire and the fruit was handed out. You only took a single fruit to be polite but it didn't smell... right.
It was a wet, overripe Sunsettia looking far more red than a normal orange Sunsettia. It was probably washed in the river but the water only made it muddy. You look around to see a whole basket brought to the Mitachurl who takes it with a huff.
"Ya celi mimi nunu!" The Samachurl exclaims before they all begin to eat. You try to put the dirt-speckled Sunsettia on the ground but the Samachurl stares at you with expectant eyes. It keeps the staring contest as the Mitachurl begins to look at you too.
Damn, you really didn't want to do this.
Smiling, you brush the mud off (that unfortunately smears it more) and try to ignore the gross possibilities of who and what touched the fruit. You chomp a good-sized bite and hold it in your mouth until the Samachurl nods in approval. The Samachurl begins to feast on his own Sunsettias and you try not to gag. You're about to spit out the piece in your mouth until the juice hits your tongue.
It's sweet. The slight bitterness is pleasant, if not familiar. Experimentally, you begin to chew on the fruit and savor the taste trying to recall what it is.
After a few more bites, you notice a weak burning sensation that travels down your throat. It's… alcohol? These Sunsettias are fermented. Not strong enough to get drunk off one, but after a few?
You look back to the Hilichurls and blanch at the empty basket. Now with what seems like the whole camp they resume the dance. The Mitachurl flops into the middle of the camp, dropping his empty basket.
The staff in the Geo Samachurls hands sways drunkenly as it sings loudly and off-key.
"Nini movo muhe yoyo! Nini movo mimi tomo~! Lata movo mosi yoyo, celi movo celi yoyo!"
Cringing, you finally got up and walked past the drunk Hilichurls. You could barely hear yourself think with all the noise, how were you supposed to plan with it?!
The only place within the Hilichurl camp that had a chance of keeping out the singing was the sole building. Casting a parting glance at the partying Hilichurls, you climb up the stairs and enter the hut.
The poor workmanship let drafts in as two lit torches kept it bright. The obnoxious singing gets quieter so you suppose the building served its purpose. A sole beat-up hilichurl lays on a straw make-shift matt, it groans in pain weakly.
You stop in the middle of the building, just a few steps away from the Hilichurl as you watch it. The question lingering in the back of your mind finally comes forth.
Why did you not want to harm the Hilichurls?
You had no problems attacking and even murdering people, yet your heart ached at the thought of hurting the cursed citizens. Was that it? Did you pity them to the point of refusal of harm? Or was it like you originally thought of the Hilichurl camp being too strong for you to face on your own?
Quietly, you take slow steps toward the Hilichurl, the torches cast your shadow to loom far above it as if swallowing it whole. Stretching out your hand your fingers inch closer to the wound winding down its back.
It must be in so much pain. Your fingers graze the cut just barely as you laugh at yourself. Were you always this hypocritical? Just yesterday you let a treasure hoarder bleed to death with his critical state, yet you tenderly touch this Hilichurl hoping that your power could heal it.
Even with your conflicting feelings, you smile as the Hilichurl begins to glow gold. If your touch was enough to heal it then Teyvat must recognize it as an animal rather than a human.
How sad...
The Hilichurl is quick to wake up once the light fades. A mumbled "Dala?" leaves it as it felt its body multiple times as if checking that it really was healed. It finally turns to look at you with a tense silence.
Smiling calmly, you stay standing as it shakily steps closer to you. "Unu, unu!" The Hilichurl falls onto its knees as it shouts loudly making you jump.
Loud thudding could be heard behind you. You looked behind you, a grimace on your face. This wasn't supposed to happen, what did it yell to the others?! You may have been against fighting them if you could avoid it, but between their life and yours, you come first.
Your sickle is summoned into a clenched hand as you move to turn around to face the sole entryway. Coarse hands grab your ankles and something rough lays on your feet. You freeze at the sight of the Hilichurl in a full bowing position at your feet with its cracked mask pressed against your feet.
Did it recognize you? Or is it simply trying to stop you and is still weak from its earlier injuries? Nerves aflame, you lift your sickle prepared to strike it down and start the fight.
The Hilichurls swarm the building making you freeze up. The Samachurl walks in with the Mitachurl trailing behind it. Attacking now would only lead you to being overwhelmed. All you can do is wait for them to make the first move. If only you remembered what unu meant!
The Samachurl speaks to the Hilichurl that is still clinging to your feet, yet the Hilichurl only repeats unu. That must have been the last straw for the Mitachurl as it yells with spittle hitting your shoulder. It grabs the Hilichurl and lifts it up into the air as you rub the spit off with a nauseating feeling.
The sound of the Samachurls staff dropping to the ground is what has you raising your head. Not a second later, all the Hilichurls get on their knees, yelling with enthusiasm.
"Unu! Unu! Yo unu!"
It wouldn't be a stretch to say that unu must mean something like god as lawa meant chief. There wasn't anything else they would bow to that wasn't a god. Even the mighty Mitachurl sets the Geo shield down to bow low enough that you stand taller than it.
If healing a single Hilichurl had this effect, then you never have to worry about Hilichurls again. This was just another thing to add to your growing list of plausible evidence for you being the Creator to use in the worst-case scenario.
Of course, this could be used against you just as easily. The Hilichurls are by technical means 'monsters'. The only people who know that they were once people are far too little. Some would even kill you to hide this fact...
With a heavy heart, you force yourself to remember not to let hilichurls know your identity from this point on. So many good opportunities are missed due to your stupid acolytes. You'll be stuck keeping this Hilichurl situation quiet for both you and the Hilichurl camp's sake.
Glum with disappointment, you resign yourself to finishing the commission and point out the tent. "All of you, follow me." With that, you leave the building as the Hilichurls rush to follow you.
There's no fear in your heart as you continue to speak while using hand signals to order them. Opening the map, you hum as you try to find a good spot to move them to. It would suck if they saw you destroy the towers and rebuild them before you get the reward for the job.
It takes a bit longer than you hoped due to the alcoholic fruit they consumed but soon enough they follow you farther south to the border of Tianqiu Valley. A nice open area is spotted and you stand there while pointing at the ground.
"Here, this will be your new home." The Hilichurls cheer and rush to work. You slide down to rest against a tree trunk. All you had to do was sit and wait until you saw a good chance to slip away.
Except, they just would not stop bugging you. Fruits, meat, flowers, and any relatively presentable objects were given to you constantly. It didn't help that the Mitachurl refused to leave your side after you winced at the sunbeam hitting your eye.
You had accepted all the gifts and mindlessly stuffed it all into your bag. It was a bit embarrassing to admit but the way they cheered and danced at your approval was nearly endearing. Keyword: nearly.
The stream of gifts came to a halt as the squishy sounds of slime padding along the grass came closer. A batch of big and small cryo slimes stared at the Hilichurls before jumping into the air to attack them.
The Mitachurl quickly leaves your side to attack them as the Hilichurls follow it into battle. Not a moment too soon either, the camp is almost done and you aren't sure if they would even let you leave at this rate.
It was a shame you had to miss watching the battle. Seeing the two most common mobs fight each other was a rare sight as they usually work together. With a bit of effort, you successfully escape without alerting the Hilichurls, smiling in anticipation at the sight of the old camp.
Electro is slashed at the tower as your sickle hits it repeatedly. The white winding tower breaks into a pile of rubble before you move on to the second one.
It's a little more difficult due to the wood pole that serves as a foundation but it comes crashing to the ground soon enough. In spite of your hits, the brown pole stays standing despite the marks you gave it.
Winded, you rest your hand against the pole and catch your breath. After a few minutes, you stand back up and raise your sickle to strike but stop at the sight of something interesting.
On the pole were the now translated words 'BELOVED CREATOR' in messy big writing.
That confirms it right? Not only do the people of Khaenri'ah worship you, but they also recognized you earlier. But if they were originally punished for refusing to be under a god then why did they suffer the same fate when they worshipped you?...
------------------------------------
Celestia wasn't intended to be a good or liked character in Genshin. Hoyoverse made it very clear that no one liked Celestia, so Celestia alone attacking the people of Khaenri'ah wasn't surprising, even in this world, but what about the Archons? What reason did they have to attack Khaenri'ah when the Archons worshipped you too?
Your mind spins with possibilities as your feet automatically head back to the newly built Hilichurl camp. After all, you couldn't leave them unsupervised when they knew your secret.
Besides being showered with gifts and what you assume are compliments isn't bad. You didn't have to worry about saying the wrong thing or acting suspicious around them. Their minds and bodies just weren't good enough to revolt against you. Still, it made you happy that you could relax around them with no consequences.
The camp should be made with lighter-colored trees due to the different environments. The stone flooring of the building would cool the temperature slightly along with whatever air slips in. They should be feasting on the food they gathered and celebrate your return. You would enjoy the positive attention that you haven't truly accepted since you arrived here as they sing and dance awfully.
So, why did the sound of weak gasps and clashing weapons fill the air? Why did the well-accustomed smell of blood overwhelm your nose to the point where you could taste it?
Your answer came in the form of a woman with flowing silk hair adorned with red ropes strangling a hilichurl till it went limp. The body hit the ground with a thud as it dissolved into ashes leaving a splatter of blood and a cracked mask.
The spear twirled in her gloved hands as the crane-like cape followed her body as she surveyed the area. Her clothes were dyed in dark red as the ruby liquid shined on the head of her spear. The crane-like beauty of Shenhe is lost on you as your eyes never stray from the bloody cracked masked.
Stumbling without care for whatever sounds you make, the bushes shake as you walk through. Shenhe looks in your direction indifferently as you emerge from the shadowy trees. Weapon at the ready, she speaks harshly like the worst winters.
"This is a dangerous area, go to Liyue and get any wounds treated."
She turns her head prepared to leave when a choked gasp escapes you. Head still angled to the ground, your features are hidden from view as she watches you.
"The Hilichurls, t-they took me. Did you really k-kill them all?" A shiver and soft sob wracks your body as you bend to clutch your knees for support.
"Yes, you can get help at Li-" Her dismissive words are cut off by your coughing fit. Tears spring to your eyes as you lift your head up letting her see your masked face.
She steps through the blood-stained grass as the horns, arrows, and scrolls break beneath her steps. There's a twist of a cap before a flask is pushed roughly into your mouth. The stale water that Shenhe clearly doesn't drink helps the bile in your mouth go down with a bad taste.
She brings it away and closes it as she barely glances at your face. She moves to leave again but your hand wraps around her upper arm tightly. Your voice shakes with emotion as you begin to speak.
"Those Hilichurls-s dragged me with them and thanks to y-you they're dead. They're really dead aren't they?!" Shenhe narrows her eyes in distrust at the way you finish your words.
"Goodbye." Emotionless as always she moves to wretch her arm out of your grasp but ends up gasping in pain instead. Her stomach bleeds into the black bodysuit as your sickle stabs her stomach. The grip you hold onto her is bruising as you stare up at her with indifference.
"They were only working on their home. Is it a crime for them to simply exist? You can't even understand your own existence, let alone empathize with another's. What right do you have to deny them the bare minimum in a world they didn't ask to live in?"
The words come out coldly as your teeth dig into your lips. The spear is stabbed into your right shoulder making you release her with a pained cry. She pushes you away, letting the blood flow out of your wound as you press your free hand onto it.
"You must be possessed by a demon." An ice talisman is summoned between her fingers as Cryo envelopes her weapon. The deep cut you left on her stomach continues to bleed but Shenhe ignores it. Meanwhile, you continue to press against your wound as the blood stains your hand.
Shenhe takes a step in your direction before a loud roar captures both your attention. The Mitachurl rushes in Shenhe's direction holding a brand new Geo shield. She steps back quickly but not fast enough to dodge the shield bash.
The satisfaction you get from watching her nose break and bleed is short-lived as her elemental burst is activated. The Mitachurl is already weak and once she's done with it, she'll be after you. It's that quick realization that has you running away from the area.
Wouldn't it be good to test if the statue of the seven could heal you? You skid to a stop at the old Hilichurl camp as you quickly bring up the game screen. As much as you would like to teleport without it, that requires you to remember what the location looked like, which you definitely can't with how fast your mind is racing.
The map is pulled up and you move to select the waypoint closest to the statue when your instincts scream at you. Something’s coming, something’s coming!
Letting your body lead, you dive to the left and grit your teeth at the pain of new scrapes forming. You watch in a mix of fascination and horror as it's overwhelmed by ice maidens. The near-death experience only leaves your nerves shot as you jump to your feet and continue running.
Shenhe already finished the Mitachurl, she's coming after you. The crackling of ice following and the lowering temperature are signs that only push you to escape faster.
The only exit of the area is a narrow gap between two mountains and you are distracted for a split second. The beautiful tree that rests over the sealed Azdaha overshadows you with every bit of grace you always imagined it would have.
"Transfiguration!" You didn't have Shenhe but it didn't take a genius to know she was going to use her skill. You can't keep running, not with these wounds. Not like you can fight her either no matter what creator buffs you get, it won't help you against the adepti's disciple.
From your right, you can hear the sound of crackling fire and Geo clashing. Swerving to the right, an ice talisman cuts your cheek but it's worth it as you spot Samachurl.
It's a huge hilichurl camp, at least two Mitachurls must be here! Grinning, you don't stop and hop over the shoddily made fence before it's destroyed by the cryo woman.
The camp is quick to begin attacking Shenhe as they must have judged that she was far more threatening. A Mitachurl holding an axe, and a shield bearing Mitachurl rush at the messy woman as you peek behind you.
Her lips are pulled into a snarl but her posture is clean as her spear weaves to hit any weak spots. Yeah, even with the Samachurl and Hilichurls supporting, you didn't have much time to escape.
You sneak into the now-empty Hilichurl hall-like building and pull up the screen. Impatiently you wait for it to load as the fighting continues on. It loads and you select the map quickly and find the waypoint on Qingyun Peak.
The noises abruptly stop before there's loud thudding as the whole area becomes cold. Panicking you press the 'teleport' button multiple times as the steps shake.
Iridescent eyes that hold boundless rage as the red ropes slip off meet your smug eyes as the light engulfs you.
Rubbing your eyelids as the light dies down to show beautiful scenery, you sit on a cold stone blankly. Just how dumb were you? Groaning, you flop backward and stare at the sky tiredly.
What a great idea it was to stab a homicidal overpowered woman with trust issues and only a small sense of morality. That makes it twice now that you were chased by braided-hair women that wield spears, except this time you knew better and could have prevented it completely.
But... you really didn't want to. If she had killed them after you said a proper goodbye then you would be upset but not like this. You wouldn't have been willing to employ that tactic again.
Just mentioning it seemed to direct your thoughts back to that day. Just like today, you had started to fully trust and unknowingly depend before they were taken away without warning.
----------------------------------
A young man stands with shaky hands as he stares at the now-dead body of the homeless man he shot. A panicked chuckle escapes him as his vision blurs and shakes at the sight.
No one would have to know. No one would even know. Nobody cares about the homeless, let alone a stray cat.
You're almost positive of that, that was his thought process before he spots you staring vacantly at your adoptive father and Ashtray. The only family that you had.
Tears burn your vision as you look at the gun in his hands. A weak laugh leaves you making the man stare at you nervously. You weren't even 18, yet you lost your father for the second time. The only difference was that you actually loved and remembered him.
"I really have to thank you, ya'know?" There's a slight voice crack when you speak but you smile at the guy despite it. "I mean, he was just soo annoying."
He smiles at your words, seeming to calm down at the friendliness and accepting nature you showed. "I know right? Constantly trying to convince everyone to 'make the most of your situation' or 'try to enjoy life while we have it' like what a fucking joke!"
His slimy laugh is accompanied by your fake laughter. It didn't feel real, you didn't want it to be real. Your feet carried you closer and your hand rests on his shoulder.
"Tell me about it. At least the old man's dead now! I can finally do the shit I wanna do." Your dad's blood from all the gunshots sticks to the nasty clothes and your filthy skin like paint. He didn't deserve to go like this, he deserved someone that isn't as selfish as you.
"Can you even guess half the stuff he made me do? Man, if I had access to a gun like that, shit he would have died way earlier!" The cockroach in human skin laughs and rests his palm on the alleyway side. A perfect match considering they're both utter shit.
"You're hilarious. How about this? I can introduce you to the guy that got me a hold of this, you can get it real cheap too! Of course, you'll need to pay me back in some way..."
You don't like that look in his eyes, you hate this man with passion you never knew you held until now. He's brought closer to you as you give a slight nod.
"But before that, I just gotta ask. I'm so fucking curious." Smiling with pride he lets you pull him closer.
"Sure, what is it? Just don't ask me for this gun, I paid a shit ton of money for it." Laughter rings out softly as every cell in your body resists the urge to strangle him.
"Don't worry man, I just wanted to ask." Your head tilts to the side closer to his ear as you whisper.
"Just how fucking dumb are you?"
Squelch
Your hand is bruising on his wrist that's holding his gun. Blood seeps out of his mouth as he coughs. The knife you thrusted into his chest where you hoped the heart was pulled out.
He gives his best to struggle the gun into a position he can shoot you but you didn't survive this long to be weak enough for that. The gun clatters loudly as it hits the floor, his mouth opens to scream but your arm gags him.
Bite marks litter your sleeve, hands punch and grab at anything but it's useless as you stab him again. Stabbing him repeatedly your fake grin twitches and twists into something unhinged.
It's useless to resist, your actions scream as you bring his dying body to the ground. A chuckle leaves you as you raise the knife high into the air and watch his eyes go wide with fear. It's cathartic, nearly healing, but you know nothing will heal you after this.
You stab him for what seemed like hours until his body is bloody with torn clothes. Bile and spit drip out of his mouth as his eyes stay open, his mouth frozen in a screaming formation.
Thoughts stab at your consciousness as you stumble over to your father's dead body. You could have just called the police and had him arrested. Maybe get one of the people who liked your dad to avenge him. You didn't have to do that.
But you did and you couldn't regret it. Resting your head on your father's chest as the tears and broken sobs are muffled in his clothes you continue to berate yourself.
------------------------------------------
The blinding pain from your wounds is what drags you out of memory lane. The new wound from Shenhe isn't something you even want to see anymore. The lightheadedness you got from the blood you lost is making you dizzy.
Your medical kit is dug out and you apply the proper care for it. It hurts to even lift it but there's no one to help you so you push past the pain. Slowly, you walk to the edge and look down.
Cursing your bad luck you stare at the statue of the seven on a floating rock piece. Gliding was hard by itself, let alone landing on a small piece with such little experience.
Hissing in pain, you clutch the wound and close your eyes. You didn't have much of a choice, if you wait too long you might get permanent damage. What if the statue couldn't even heal you, you'd be losing time to get to Bubu's Pharmacy.
With a few insults to Shenhe, you deploy the glider and set for the statue. It's not that far and you land fairly easily. Good enough for your first solo glide.
With wary eyes, you inspect your surroundings before touching the statue. The glow it gives off is almost traumatic to your first day after getting thrown into Teyvat. You can only hope that this time you'll be able to handle the Archons better.
The puncture in your shoulder seals up nicely until not even a scar is left. The scrapes, laceration from Mountain Shaper, neck wounds from Cloud Retainer, and even some injuries you failed to notice heal up completely. You note the slight discomfort you feel from the wounds you didn't get to clean. It seems the statue can't deal with healing and preventing infections.
Even still everything you wanted to do is done now, it's best you leave before- "Pardon me."
A smile graces your face with ease as you turn around to face the handsome man. An overwhelming aura that silently demands respect paired with the manners of a humble citizen.
Zhongli's eyes glow with elemental power as he speaks with a voice that lulls you into a sense of security.
"Would you be willing to answer some questions?"
The only question is whether he came here as Zhongli or as the Geo Archon.
This one had a lot of different things going on. From the hilichurl to Shenhe and the long awaited Zhongli! I know there's a lot of components in my story and I hate to confuse you guys so I try to give little explanations when certain things become relevant. I am glad to get part of Y/N's backstory out! This is explaining the single life Y/N 'selfishly' killed before being thrown into Teyvat. I hope you guys enjoyed the gradual shift when it comes to gliding. First Ayato carried, then a team glide with the guys and finally Y/N by themself! Now I really need to start Fontaine before I'm spoiled by social media. I'm too curious for my own good. Yet again, my editor did good on this chapter despite how many times I was berated for normal mistakes. (If your name is italicized that means I couldn't tag you.) The Sea Hare: Scene 2
A Freminet x Gn! Reader
After giving in to the truth of your feelings for him, you try to come up with a plan to express them to Freminet. But before you can finish your brainstorm, you must give him a hand after a rough day.
It CANNOT be lame.
You were walking through the halls of Fontaine’s music college, your mind currently consumed with romantic confessions and beautiful fantasies.
You clutched your book satchel and walked down the stone stairs, leaving school for the day.
Maybe the fountain by the Opera Epiclese? Actually, he wouldn’t want to make a scene. I’ll have to coax him somewhere less busy.
Your heel caught the step behind you and you fell. Your books slipped from the satchel and flopped down the steps.
A few of the kids from the Acting classes passed you.
“Be careful, Y/N!” Eloise, a snarky girl who had landed the lead in the music college’s play, called mockingly. “Wouldn’t want you twisting your wrist and missing your deadline. Then, you really would be useless!”
Her friends snickered.
You stood, brushing your hands together.
“Almost as useless as you, if people like me didn’t write your lines.” You snapped.
She rolled her eyes.
“Yes, yes. You are oh-so important. Ever waiting in the wings; ever a name in small print under mine.”
They walked away, leaving you and the pile of books.
“I don’t want to be bigger than you.” you grumbled, bending over and picking them up one by one. “I don’t need applause to feel worth something.”
It did hurt, constantly being overlooked for someone who spoke words that weren’t even theirs. However, fate would have it that you weren’t made for center stage. You were made to be the genius behind it all.
You made your way back to the boarding house to drop off your things. You opened the door with your key and entered.
Ms. Maddie came over to you discreetly.
“There’s a blonde boy named Freminet come to see you.” she paused. “He's a little the worse for wear. I sent him to your room, I guessed you’d be coming home soon.”
“I’ll go up to him straight away then, thank you for not sending him away.” you nodded in gratitude.
She patted your shoulder as you walked away.
“I have a feeling he needs someone like you.” she remarked.
You stopped for a moment and gave her a little smile.
“I think so too.”
+
When you entered your room, Freminet was not immediately present. You saw his hat and diving gear sitting on your desk, his boots by the door.
You laid your book satchel beside them and slowly perused the room.
Then you heard the sound of the sink running in your dinky bathroom.
You stood before the door and knocked on it.
“Is that you, Freminet?” you asked.
The door unlocked and the knob twisted.
“Yeah. Sorry for coming unannounced.” a quiet voice replied through the crack.
“No matter, you’re always welcome here. Can I come in? Ms. Maddie said she thought something might have happened to you.”
Freminet opened the door wider.
He had a large bruise spanning his cheek and jaw, and some small cuts all over his face, neck, and legs. You noted a small towel, blotted with blood, on the bathroom counter. His eyes were full of shame and discomfort.
Your face immediately softened. You stepped forward, cupping his cheek and examining the cuts.
“Oh, you poor thing. What got you?” you gently graced a finger over one, causing him to flinch nonetheless.
“A-A dendro samachurl. The thorns-” he sighed in resignation.
You resisted the urge to pull him to your chest and say comforting things.
“They can be nasty.” you opened the cabinet and took out a box of small, round adhesive bandages, a few cotton swabs, and a bottle of disinfectant.
He watched patiently, knowing you would fuss over him in due time.
You opened the box and took out a handful of paper-wrapped bandages. He hopped up on the counter and you began disinfecting and dabbing at the scratches, covering each one with a tiny bandage.
He didn’t say a word, as if deep down he felt like he should have been chastised rather than mended.
“The bruises are from when the vines hit you, aren’t they? You got battered pretty good then, if that's the case.” you said, attempting to make conversation.
“Yeah…” Freminet swung his dangling feet, drumming against the cabinet below; an action fueled by anxiousness.
“Ms. Maddie has some ice, we can wrap it in a damp towel.” you suggested, working on his legs next.
Freminet lifted his hand and ran it over the patches on his face. He tried to be aloof about his shyness, as your fingers pressed the sticky bandages to his thighs, calves and knees.
“That would be nice.” he mumbled.
“And you can stay here until you’re ready to go back to the House of the Hearth.” you put forth. “I’ll stay with you. I didn’t have plans anyways.”
He had told you the truth about the Hotel Bouffes d'ete a few months ago, after questioning why Lyney and Lynette still lived in their orphanage when they were clearly old enough to be on their own.
It bothered you a little when he talked of Arlecchino’s cold disposition, but Freminet admired her so that you couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude towards her for protecting him.
More importantly, you knew Freminet didn’t like going home immediately after getting hurt.
“I’ll stick with you then.” Freminet announced. “I don’t want to go back yet. I’d like to ice my jaw.”
You nodded, lifting his leg to see if there were cuts on the underside. He turned his head away, biting the inside of his cheek. He most certainly was not used to being touched like that.
The scratches on the back were mostly pink and puffy, nothing in need of covering. You dabbed at them with the disinfectant, the alcohol cool against his skin. He flinched a little at the sudden sensation on his warm skin.
You promptly become aware of his flesh in your hands. It was pale and smooth, with a slight dusting of freckles on the outer-upper part that disappeared under his shorts. Of course, there were fine hairs too, that felt downy and soft.
As you finished inspecting and addressing the cuts on his legs, you found yourself clearing your throat and shutting your eyes. You shoved some extra bandages in the box and shelved your medical items.
Freminet was practically boiling over. His eyes locked on the rings of the bath curtain, literally anywhere except you.
“Shall I go get the ice?” you suggested.
“Mhm.”
“Alright, I’ll be back. Don’t go anywhere!” you said with a slight laugh.
Freminet hopped off the counter, grabbed something off a rack, and followed you out of the bathroom.
“You’re forgetting the towel!” he thrust it into your arms.
“Oh, right! Silly me.” I couldn’t even think straight.
Freminet didn’t even look at you, he turned and made his way to the window, leaning on the edge of your bed.
He’s been through so much. What does he think of when he’s alone?
You gave him a glance before leaving the room.
After you had gone, Freminet took a moment to look around.
The sheets were pulled up neatly, but it was clear from the imprint that you slept on top of them under a mountain of blankets.
The desk and nightstands were practically smothered in documents; both for school and your work.
He found a small pile of interesting rocks and took a few in his palm for closer inspection. He then realized they weren’t just any rocks, they were the rocks he had handed to you on your last beach day. Sitting right beside your picture frames and favorite books. You had made them seem important.
Freminet set them down next to his own picture with a little clattering sound. You had decorated the frame as well with little seashells.
I’m important to you.
He smiled at the collection of “Freminet” items.
You came back into the room, icey towel in hand.
“Here you go!” you beckoned him over.
He pretended like he was looking at the documents and not at your personal trinkets.
You placed the ice against his cheek. He squinted his eyes, adjusting to the cold.
He reached up to hold the ice, but his hand met yours by accident. He jerked it back down to his side.
You chuckled.
“Here-” you took his wrist and brought his hand back up to hold it.
He looked down at the floor, his round cheek a little squished as he pressed it to his jaw.
“Thank you. For helping me time after time.”
You reached over and twirled a strand of his hair around your finger before ruffling it.
“I care for you. More than you know.”
Freminet thought back to the pebbles you had saved.
He couldn’t help but blush.
“I-I know. I know you care. A lot.”
You placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Good! I hope I make it obvious.”
He giggled faintly before furrowing his brow.
“I need to sit down.” he whispered.
“Oh! Alright. Is your head ok? You must have gotten seriously whacked!” you sat beside him on your ottoman.
He nodded.
“It’ll be fine, I just need some time.”
“Ok. Feel free to lay down and rest if you need it.” you wrapped your arms around him. “I’m just glad you’re home and safe with me.”
Home?
Freminet swallowed, giving you his little squeeze back.
Home… I guess home can be with you. Just for today.
+
Freminet left two hours later. He had taken a little nap in your bed about half an hour ago. He was absolutely adorable, all snuggled with your pillows. You had to “awww” just a little, you couldn’t stop yourself.
When he awoke, it was around dinner time. You retrieved two servings of ragout from Ms. Maddie and ate with him.
Eventually, the swelling had gone down and he decided to head back to the orphanage.
“Keep icing it tonight, ok?”
“Yes.”
“And take the bandages off before bed so they can breathe.”
“Yes, Y/N.”
“And tell Lyney and Lynette I said ‘good evening’.”
“Understood.”
“Oh, don’t talk to me like I gave you an order-”
You hugged him.
“I hope you have a good night.” you said, muffled by his jacket.
“Thank you for everything. For all you do for me.” he whispered.
“It’s my pleasure, I’ll do everything I can to see you get better.” I love you.
Freminet sighed contentedly.
“Bye, Y/N.”
“Bye bye.”
After he was gone, you flopped on your bed and laughed your ass off.
He’s so precious. Alright, Y/N! Focus! This has to be the sweetest confession in the history of love!
You sat up with utter determination.
The time was now!

Breaking up with them - Kujou Sara
CW: Minor violence, Male!Reader.
Kujou Sara had a tough exterior, but beneath all of her formality and responsibility she was just like any human. You've come to learn that through the few years of your relationship. You took your time with her, giving her lots of space and time to get comfortable, at her own pace. She opened herself up more and more, until a golden ring found her finger. Sara welcomed it with great happiness. It was all perfect, and everyone wished you well.
Until the decrees were established.
With the introduction of the Sakoku Decree nothing changed. She was still yours, and you were still hers. The problems started when the Shogun announced the Vision Hunt Decree. All Visions, the proclaimed "obstacles of eternity" were now illegal to have - including your Electro one.
You got it in the early years of your relationship. Sara was out on a walk with you, and a group of Hilichurls attacked you, a Lawachurl among them. She fought valiantly, protecting you, a mere sword in hand, from the monsters. But it soon proved to be far too much, and escape was not an option - the retreat was blocked by vines summoned by a Samachurl. Both of you were about to die, but then the Shogun granted you one of her Visions, letting your shield Sara from harm.
The Vision, the sign of divine recognition granted by Inazuma's Archon herself, was the essence of your love for her. It contained all of your hopes and dreams, all of the beautiful memories you shared, all the laughs and tears… Everything. Losing it would mean losing your goals, your memories, and along with them - the bond between you and her, as well as the future you could share.
You couldn't let it go. For her own good. For Celestia's sake, The Shogun herself granted you the Vision! Why would she now want to take it away?
The Vision was your very soul, your love for Sara. There was no way you would let it be taken, no matter if it would cost you your life. Living without love, without her, would be pointless anyway.
You've vigilantly kept your ear to the ground, looking out for any early warning sounds. Before any of them hit you, you established a connection with the Kamisato Clan that promised to keep you hidden and smuggle you out of Narukami should things go south. Soon enough, you started hearing about Visions of family members of officials being confiscated. You alerted Ayato, and packed your things in secret.
Things got uneasy between the two of you. Shared meals were ominously quiet, until one day she just told you that your name was on the list. You kept your true intentions hidden, pretending to be okay with giving it away. She fell for that.
—
The day finally came. Sara arrived at your shared home in the middle of the day - a thing she would not have done without a clear, important reason. She always believed that time of work should be entirely devoted to it, free of any distractions. Those "distractions", of course, didn't involve your daily lunch break.
You heard her come through the front door, and quickly went over your equipment again. Feeling that everything was in place and ready to go, you drew a shaky breath. The execution of your plan would require nerves of steel and no hesitation on your side.
Sara stepped into your bedroom. You didn't bother to turn around to meet her eyes. You knew what her next words would be.
"Let's… get this over with, Y/N. Please." She sounded exhausted, defeated. Yet just the fact that she was standing here proved that her loyalty lie not with you, but with the Shogun.
She valued an abusive, neglectful god over the love of her life. At your inquiry, Miko revealed all. She revealed that Ei, the real Archon of Inazuma, probably didn't know that your girlfriend even existed. Sara was blissfully unaware of that fact. She didn't even dare to question the sudden change of heart her superior had. She never reflected in how evil the Decree was. She just executed orders, preferring not to doubt her ruler's judgment.
You sighed, clenching your fists to keep your voice steady. Emotions raged within your body. Stress. Sadness. Anger.
You turn to her, gaze finding hers. Without a word, you unattach the gemstone from your hip, and push it into her chest. Despite all your preparations, despite all the times you went over this scenario in your mind, tears still found their way into your eyes.
Sara was visibly hesitant to take the Vision. Perhaps the consequences of her actions and beliefs momentarily made their way into her mind. The mind of a blind executioner. The mind of a tool, a card played by her idol.
Your heart was beating fast as you walked past her. She just stood there, tears flowing down her cheeks. Her mind was still struggling to process the tragic choice she faced, and the decision she made. Your heart ached at the sight of her so distraught, but you knew it wasn't a time for weakness.
You were doing this for her, even if right now she was your opponent. Maybe, you hoped, maybe someday she will understand the error of her ways.
You silently turned around, and raised your right arm. She was too deep in thought and emotion to notice the shadow on the floor rising.
With a quick and powerful movement, you hit the side of her throat with your forearm. She yelped and staggered, but another hit caused her to fall face first into the bed, and slide harmlessly to the floor. You checked to see if she had a pulse, and found it. The Shuumatsuban taught you well, it seems.
You had to move quickly, she wouldn't be unconscious for long.
With practiced ease, you pull out the small spool of rope from your pockets and move to tie her hands in front of her chest, followed by the legs and ankles. You stuffed her mouth with a clean sock and secured it in place with a cloth over her mouth. You picked up your own Vision, moving to take hers as well. Not out of malice, however. You needed an effective cover for your escape. Picking up the bag that you prepared beforehand from the closet, you spoke to the unconscious Sara.
"I'm sorry. I hope you will understand."
You march out of your house with a racing heart. The most painful part of the plan was completed flawlessly, but you needed to fool the guards she undoubtedly brought along as well. Behind the front door you saw them - two armored samurai with grim expressions and weapons on hand.
As you closed the door, their attention immediately turned to you. You moved towards them quickly, making your best effort to appear confident. You grabbed the hand of one of the surprised men, and placed Sara's Vision in his palm. The soldier inspected it for a second, before he calmed down. A sigh left his lips and he looked up at you.
"Thank you for your cooperation, sir." He said, his voice nearly a whisper.
"The general is still inside. She needs a moment." You said with a steady, authoritative voice. Then, you groaned. "You have what you came here for. What else do you want? Maybe you'll rob me of my material belongings as well?"
The men were slightly taken aback, but their experience told them this was nothing out of the ordinary. Before they left, one of them inquired about the rucksack you carried.
"I need time away from all of this mess. I am going to stay at my parent's old house in Ritou. If she tries to seek me out, tell her it's futile."
They nodded solemnly and left. When their forms disappeared amongst the street goers, you breathed a sigh of relief.
You made it.
Arriving in front of Komore Teahouse, you walked around to the back. Seven knocks on the back door caused a woman dressed in a red kimono to emerge. She looked at you, a hint of compassion glimmering in her irises.
"The sparrow seeks a new nest." You spoke, and she nodded. She leads you further back, away from the safehouse. When you got to the cliff's edge, she pointed at a nearby bush and left. You moved your foot around the foliage until it hit a wooden bundle. With a firm push, the rope ladder was deployed. From the top you could see a Waverider, its capitan sitting on a log on the shore.
Before descending, you turned around to catch a final glimpse of your home. Along with the vocal crowds and falling petals were memories, images of you and her. Her smile, her tears, her embraces, her kind words…
You wiped a stray tear from your cheek.
You were doing this for the greater good, for both you and her.
Perhaps Sara would understand in time.
Thanks for reading!

˗ˏˋ tending to an injury ˎˊ˗
prompt: genshin characters tending to an injury of yours
content: gn!reader, mentions of blood/injury
characters included: diluc, childe/tartaglia, thoma, kaveh
gives you a little scolding for putting yourself in harm's way.
even if it was just an aggressive samachurl who happened to catch you just outside of mondstadt.
but once you remind him of his darknight duties, he accepts your point.
he's a perfectionist; the plaster needs to wrap over the whole cut, the bandages need to cover every single gash.
he will also tell you instructions for how to tend to your wounds:
"you need to redress your bandages every day, and wash your leg before you do so. i have rubbing alcohol if you need it, but these shouldn't get infected. now, when you redress-"
"diluc, i know how to bandage a leg."
"i'm just making sure."
the next time you go out anywhere, he will be watching from the shadows - making sure this kind of thing never happens again.
he had accidentally caught your arm with an arrow while training, and at first was unaware of the severity of your injury.
but after a minute or two of standing there, collecting the blood in your hands, he realised it was serious.
running to get medical equipment quickly, you heard him tell a group of fatui skirmishers to move out of his way, which made you laugh.
out of pity, he tried to speedrun cleaning and wrapping your arm, so that it was protected as quickly as possible to make up for his prior negligence.
"slow down, childe, you don't need to-"
"no, i laughed at you when you were in pain. i need to make up for lost time."
"surely making up for lost time will just mean you do a sloppy job?"
"...you have a point."
he then took his time and even made you tea afterwards. he felt guilty for a long time, which you frequently took advantage of.
ah, my favourite fixer
thoma is very caring, and tries to make sure he's hurting you as little as possible.
it was silly, really, you fell and cut your wrists on the concrete.
while you expected him to laugh at your idiocy, you were surprised to hear him say "come in, let me get some cloths" instead.
five star yelp review for thoma: he treated you like teyvat's most important person.
"do you have any other issues? headache, perhaps? what caused you to fall?"
"i just slipped on the steps, i don't have a headache, although my knee is throbbing a bit."
he immediately tends to your knee.
he makes you food, lets you stay with him until he knows the wounds aren't infected.
i love him
i just know this man would call you a silly goose.
but would then be like "oh shit, this is serious"
alhaitham talks him through what to do, and he does it.
you had set up camp just outside of sumeru city, and burned yourself accidentally when cooking. instinctively, you ran to kaveh and alhaitham's assuming they would have some cream for light burns.
alas they did not.
so here kaveh was, trying to make some form of home remedy, with alhaitham reading the instructions off to him.
"wait, three padisarahs? are you sure?"
"the book says three, kaveh."
"really, guys-" you try to interject. "it's not that serious. i can just go to-"
"no, you stay here and i will fix it," kaveh replied, adding three padisarahs to the mixture.
kaveh would make the cream, apply the cream, watch the burn for hours fearing it was not what it seemed, then when it surprisingly worked he would feel some form of relief.
"you are staying here. no more camping, you hear me?"
