The Best (in my opinion) Cosplay Panels on YT

so, back in 2020 like six months after I had gotten into hetalia I was having a rlly hard time with my mental health for reasons besides Covid related stuff. And as stupid as it sounds one of the only things able to distract me were Hetalia cosplay panels on YouTube, I was literally watching these things on repeat, I still turn them on sometimes as background noise cause they make me happy.

So! I've decided to share my favorites that I've found! Again these are my favorites and I just want more people to appreciate them!

Sakura Con 2016 - Ancientalia - Cos-Space Films || it's in 4 parts, this is literally my favorite group ever. My Germania is basically almost completely based of this cosplayer they have a Tumblr but It hasn't been updated since 2018 T^T

Ichibancon Hetalia Panel 2015 {Friday} - Amydiddle0317 || I'm not fond of Spain bc of reasons I've stated and am not rehashing, but I love the Spain cosplayer on this panel so much! They just seem like they're having so much fun. I like the Austria and Lithuania cosplayers too even though neither of them talk much.

Hetalia World Meeting - Cos-Space Films || what would happen if you stuck America and Russia with a list of topics they needed to ask the audience about to solve (also Scotland won't shut up)? Again it's really the fact that the cosplayers seem to be having fun that make the panel! (also RusAme shippers rejoice they kiss)

Hetalia: A Beautiful Improv P1/3 [Daisho Con 2015] - MuteZombie || THE DENMARK COSPLAYER I AM IN LOVE. like okay, I used to think they were cool, (still do) but every time I watch I'm just like??? Marry me??? Not to mention watching Iceland and America try to teach Scotland how to play flappy bird is the most amusing thing.

Sakura Con 2016 - Sealand's Folly - Cos-Space Films || ohohohoh Sealand wants to have a world meeting and accidentally brings people from the past? Oops? Kiev (of Kievan-Rus) wants nothing but revenge on Mongolia and Turkey for killing her parents. China isn't such an old man yet. 13 Colonies and New France keep having little squabbles and its adorable.

Sakura Con 2017 - Ancientalia - Cos-Space Films || not as good as 2016 but I have heart eyes for Dacia, I love her, Scandia deserves the world. Britannia asks Germania how many ex-girlfriends he has, he proceeds to list of Scandia, Brit, Aestii and Gaul and follow it up with "I love u all dearly" its so awkward I love it.

Naruto and Hinata was always planned the manga only shows how shallow his crush on Sakura really is. You know what makes NaruSaku even more pathetic is that all is content is entirely filler. Literally the only reason NaruSaku is even considered is cause SP were really bias and exaggerated the ship to hell in the anime where the manga shows it was never going to happen.

Velouria from Fire Emblem Fates Cosplayer : @kimbearliii City: Anchorage, AK Velouria is a character whose design I instantly fell in love with upon seeing the images from Fire Emblem Fates. Her wolf meets Little Red Riding Hood design was too cute to not replicate, and I really wanted a character that I could take photos of in Alaska that would fit the beautiful scenery we get year-round. Her personality is borderline obsessive, but her lazy side I found super relatable. I started creating the outfit around March and finished in August, piecing together things as I found time between working and going to school full time

The cloak is probably my favorite piece, partly because of how much I love the lace but it’s also functional and ridiculously warm! The corset was also fun to modify, and the pants and boots I actually use in everyday outfits because they’re great outside of cosplay! I didn’t have anyone recognize me at Senshi-con, but that’s okay, a couple people knew who I was at PAX West and it was nice getting to know other fans!a

I’ve been a cosplayer since 2009 and started sewing and making my own costumes since around 2012,  I’ve lived in Alaska part-time since 2010, but moved up here full time in 2015. I got into cosplay after googling pictures of Naruto characters to use as a wallpaper for my computer and saw someone cosplaying Sakura and was instantly like, “I want to do this!”. Little did I know that cosplay would have introduced me to my best friends and a whole new avenue of creativity. My first costume was a closet-cosplay of Misa Amane from Death Note, no wig, no makeup, but people still recognized my character which I thought was amazing and instantly hooked! My first hand-made costume was of Homura Akemi from Madoka Magica, which introduced me to sewing stretchy boot covers, sewing bias tape, patterning, and experimenting with different types of seams. Definitely not what I would consider a good first choice, but I learned so much!

I dont care what other dumb dudes say, I love Sakura and she DESERVES recognition. Yes Kishimoto fucked over her chance of being a great and loved character. BUT SHE IS STILL VERY FUCKING GOOD REGARDLESS A LOT OF YOU ARE JUST MYSOGINISTS.

2000-2005 (proto-weeb era): introduced to Ghibli, immediately obsessed. Notable media from this time: Totoro, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle

2005-2006 (pre-weeb era), introduced to the concept of manga from an exhibit at the children's museum, sister got really into Drawing Manga for a while, i was envious of her drawing ability & tried to emulate. also read a few volumes my friend had borrowed. late 2007-early 2008 (early weeb era), started taking Japanese (to this day I must insist i did NOT take Japanese bc I like Anime it was the OTHER WAY AROUND which like idk if thats better but shrug emoji), started borrowing manga, mostly shoujo iirc, from middle school library (that had a shockingly good selection), only watched a few anime. Hi, everyone! I usually go by the name Myngxy online but I also go by Minx or Sue. I am a mixed 20+ year old cis woman and I go by She/They pronouns. I am a fanimator currently working on two projects, Ama Koiji and Majokko Vivian-chan.

I've been exposed to Magical Girl stuff since I was young. Winx Club, W.I.T.C.H. and Avatar Star Sue were some of the first Magical Girl shows I watched and I unknowingly played a bunch of Dress Up Flash Games based on various Magical Girl IPs. But I wouldn't say I became a full on Magical Girl fan until my preteens since that was when my weeb phase started.

I tend to lean towards old Magical Girl anime from the early 1990s going back but I'll be down for pretty much anything if it catches my fancy.

Some of my favorite Magical Girl shows include but are not limited to: Magical Angel Creamy Mami, Cardcaptor Sakura, Magical Emi, Sally the Witch, Magical Princess Minky Momo, Bee and Puppycat, and Hana No Ko Lunlun.

As for fanime (as in the community and not the con of the same name), I think I first got into it in 2015 and I've been in and out of the community since. I've made various attempts at making my own fanime in the past but most of them fell through for one reason or another. Now I want to be more active in the community and make as many fanime as I possibly could. Just gotta start slow.

Some of my favorite fanime are Princess Tutu Zwei, Nyan Neko Sugar Girls, Blood Raining Night, My Jungle Book Your Year, Sugoi Quest for Kokoro and Senpai Club.

Vivian le Fay and her parents, Circe and Raynard, are former witch nobles who find themselves being exiled and forced to live in the mortal realm after causing too much trouble in the magical world they once called home. Though they're at first unhappy to be banished to Earth, they quickly adapt to their new lives thanks to their magic powers. Predictably, lots of magical hijinks ensue.

Las calles de Tokio se han pintado de rosa con la llegada de los ya tradicionales árboles de cerezo. Dicha escena nos hace preguntarnos: ¿Dónde se encuentra el cast de Sakura Card Captor ahora?

¡Recordemos un poco nuestra infancia!

Tras tres temporadas, dos películas y una secuela, Sakura Card Captor se ganó el corazón de millones alrededor del mundo con su historia y estética única a mediados del 2006 cuando se emitió por primera vez en Japón.

No podemos negar que la trama, de por sí, ya era atrapaste pero el talento y dedicación de, en ese entonces, niños nos cautivo de inmediato pero, ¿Te haz preguntado que ha pasado con ellos? ¡Aquí te lo contamos!

¡El cast de Sakura Card Captor ha crecido!

A lo largo del tiempo, cada uno ha seguido diferentes caminos dedicando su vida lejos del entretenimiento como dentro de este mismo, como es el caso de Daidōji Tomoyo.

Tomoyo no solo ha sido reconocida por sus trabajos en diferentes películas de cine independiente, sino también por su inigualable voz amielada quien nos ha regalado dos álbumes de estudios y cuatro singles para J-Dramas que se han ganado nuestros corazones.

De igual manera, hay que resaltar la veracidad empresarial de la joven quien, no solo maneja y es dueña de su propia línea de ropa: "Magic Captor Boutique" Sino que también está por lanzar su propia línea de maquillaje: "Queen of Cards" de forma mundial este año.

Una vez que el rodaje de Clear Card concluyó en 2015, Hiragizawa decidió retirarse del ojo público de la forma más discreta que pudo, regresando a su natal Inglaterra a cumplir su sueño de convertirse en chef.

Eriol es dueño de uno de los restaurantes gourmet más aclamados por la crítica, con tres estrellas Michelin y temática oriental que no te puedes perder en tu estadía en UK.

Pero sin duda, el hombre que más nos ha dado de que hablar, es nuestro co-protagonista y estrella de rock favorito: Li Syaoran.

Li no solo ha sido protagonista de una de las series más famosas de Japón, sino también ha robado el corazón de millones de fanáticos con su voz e imagen de chico malo, siendo fuertemente criticando y señalado con el paso de los años por sus rumores de citas y fama prepotente.

Sin embargo, con el paso de los años, Syaoran ha tenido más virtudes y éxitos de los cuales podemos presumir siendo el lanzamiento de su 3er disco de estudio "Dysmorphia" de la mano de la reconocida banda de rock/punk alternativo: "Chronicles R."

¿Qué pensarías si te dijeramos que, estando en la cima del estrellato, ella decidió volcar todo e ir a la universidad?

¡Una locura, cierto! Bueno, esa es la historia de Kinomoto Sakura.

Las malas lenguas del entretenimiento cuentan que una vez que el rodaje de Sakura Clear Card concluyera, la idea de filmar una película dentro de un mundo distopico donde, tras un incidente, la protagonista perdiera sus memorias empujando a su mejor amigo a viajar entre dimensiones en busca de ellas haciendo aliados en su viaje, cayera en manos de sus representantes quienes no llegaron a un acuerdo con la productora haciendo que el proyecto simplemente desapareciera.

"Viví mi vida escolar de forma diferente a la de los demás, soy agradecida con la educación que obtuve por parte del canal y la producción, pero no quiero perderme la experiencia de ir a una universidad y esforzarme como todos los demás."

Declaro Sakura en la entrevista de la alfombra de la premier de su película "Sakura Card Captor: La Carta Sellada."

Quién diría que dichas palabras serían un spoiler del futuro ya que, Kinomoto se ha ocultado del ojo público desde entonces, cuidando su imagen a tal grado que es difícil rastrearla en la actualidad.

Sabiendo que nuestra querida Sakura se encuentra concluyendo la licenciatura de Literatura y Letras en la Universidad Seisen en Tokyo.

Siendo su última aparición pública en junio de 2017 en la inauguración de la primera sucursal Magic Captor Boutique en Kyoto junto a Akiho Shinomoto, Li Meiling y Chiharu Mihara.

I don't want to be disrespectful, but I'm also curious to know if you find something off in the way Kishi talks about his family? He said he was surprised that a lot of people expected Naruto to end up with Sakura and that even his wife was angry over the fact that they didn't end up together. He tried to convince her that Hinata was modeled after her, but she caught onto the fact that he was lying. (Doesn't his wife know that he basically wrote a tragic gay love story?) Didn't he also say that she was like Kushina? But Naruto is his self insert? And Boruto is a message to his son? (Please correct me if any of this information is wrong). Do you think he's even divulged the true story he was writing to anyone? I don't know the writing process, but do you think his editors or assistants even know? I guess I'd just like some perspective or to be told that I'm wrong because the stuff my mind is coming up with just makes me think Kishi must be living a lonely life

Can’t say for sure whether he divulged it to his Friends or Family. But When it comes to writing process, He couldn’t have been keeping it secret from his Assistants or even from his Editor forever. My hunch is that not everyone (even his Assistants) would have picked up the Subtexts from the Get-Go. Atleast Not in Part 1. 

They might have very well taken that Accidental Kiss as another Joke and Sasuke dying for Naruto is just a basic Shonen/Chinese novel Concept for Brothers & Friends. Not something specifically Romantic.

But as the series progressed further and further or at least by the end of VoTE1, his Assistants and Editors would’ve found out what he was trying to write. There’s no way that they could be Oblivious beyond that point.... And not for 699 chapters.

Look at this. 

This interview was from a Fanbook that was released around 2008 or 2009, I don’t remember exactly when. But The Author was trying to get a Green Signal from his Editor to use Reverse Harem no Jutsu in his Manga. Well, if that isn’t an Important thing or it's just another Joke which doesn't mean anything, then he didn’t have to be this persistent, you know. And it’s precisely because of it’s Controversial Nature, the Editor refused outright for all those years.

My guess is that, his Family members might have thought that Kishi was writing some ‘intense’ friendship between Naruto + Sasuke and nothing more... Or they didn’t bother to ask him further as to what's going on with his Story Or they are not at all interested in what he was doing... That we will never know.

But It feels like he is projecting his true self most of the times... He started out as someone with no acknowledgement, No friends... He failed many times before he got a chance to prove himself as a mangaka... Finally he became a Successful mangaka... And then he casually said that Boruto movie is all about Parent-Child love because he missed spending his time with his Children since he was busy drawing Naruto Manga just like Naruto not spending his time with his Children... 

In that Parent-Child movie, we know that Boruto is the Child... But who is the Parent??? Because that movie was all about Sasuke and Boruto + Naruto.... Man!!! More and More Questions...

Voy a subir álbumes de escenas del manga dedicados al SNS, a Sasuke y a Naruto. Nuestro fandom no se cansa de repetir el "léete el manga ahí está" "no leíste el manga, idiota" entre otras cosas. Me gustaría dar mi opinión del manga poco a poco, es decir de momentos o capítulos importantes acorde a lo dicho. A mí no me molesta que otras personas expresen opiniones distintas a las mías, de hecho, hace poco en un post que hice sobre que Kakashi debería haberse acercado a Naruto una amiga me comentó que podría ser porque él seguía en depresión. Cosa que me pareció lógica porque citó lo visto en el manga, perdió a su padre, sus amigos y vio muchas muertes en la tercera gran guerra. Un buen motivo por el cual no podía consolar a Naruto y Sasuke pese a estar allí en la misma aldea. Una opinión tranquila con argumentos del manga.

 ¿Para qué los subo?

 1- En el fandom de Naruto es jodidamente difícil tener un debate sano. Uno sin que te insulten por tu foto de perfil o preferencias. Jamás he tenido necesidad de bloquear o borrar comentarios de la página y me gustaría que siguiera así, pero aplicaré lo que hacemos en el grupo “shhh narusasu sasunaru”, si alguien es irrespetuoso se lo bloquea, pero se conserva captura del motivo por el que se lo ganó. Sobre aviso, no hay engaño.

 2- Encontrar errores u omisiones de Kishimoto para explicar algunas cosas. Estos son el paso perfecto a ideas para nuevos fics explorando cosas que el mangaka se dejó. Por ejemplo, alguna vez mencioné que nunca se nos dijo en el manga quien cuidó a Naruto cuando era bebé, o retomando lo que dije de Kakashi, alguien podría escribir una historia o incluirlo en alguna de subtrama cómo se sintió en ese periodo posterior a la muerte del cuarto.

 3- Para los que leen mis fics ver cómo interpreto yo el manga, porque en base a lo que percibo del manga creo mis historias y manejo los personajes.

 4- Sirve de ayuda para las fickers que quieren hacer a sus personajes lo más cercanos al manga. Hay detalles que a todos se nos pasan y releer algunas partes puede darnos nuevas ideas o perspectivas de los personajes.

 5- Sirve como cajita de nostalgia. ¿A alguien que le gustó Naruto no le gustaría rememorar buenos momentos? Puede que saque a relucir cosas que antes no notaron.

  Estos álbumes NO son considerados una verdad absoluta. Sino que son opiniones basadas en escenas del manga. Cualquiera puede señalarme si me equivoqué en un punto o si piensa diferente. Yo hasta dejaré los números exactos de los capítulos, así que pueden releerlo y comentar (cada capítulo apenas tiene 13-16 páginas). Este álbum que estoy subiendo ahora llamado “falacias” son la principal causa de peleas cuando se opina de algo y quería dejarlo porque no cuentan como argumento.

Pido que no haya insultos disfrazados de "es mi opinión”, porque esto nunca falta. El año pasado en una página SNS se mencionó que lo más lógico en los fics sería que Sakura sea la amiga que apoya y no Hinata por su poca interacción con Naruto y la nula con Sasuke. No faltaron comentarios diciendo que la admi era una sakuratard encubierta. Y dado que subiré álbumes de Sasuke y Naruto, inevitablemente habrá momentos donde salgan sus interacciones con Sakura y Hinata, eso no significa que apoye las shipps con ellas, pero tampoco veo la necesidad de decir o inventarme que todo momento juntos fue malo. Sin embargo, esta es una pésima costumbre del fandom, no poder decir ni una sola cosa buena en favor o en contra de “X” personaje o de inmediato te ponen una etiqueta de tard o hater.

No vayan a adelantarse demasiado cuando comenten, por favor. Por ejemplo, si hablamos del capítulo 3 cuando recién son el equipo 7, eviten cosas tipo "pero sasuke trató de matarlos es un hdp". O sea, eso pasará dentro de más de 100 capítulos, respira, ya llegaremos a eso. Lo ideal es hacer comparaciones hacia atrás. Esto para evitar que se descontextualicen por completo los momentos, como suele pasar. Por ejemplo, si estamos comentando cosas del capítulo 12 y queremos relacionarla con algo del capítulo 1 está más que perfecto. ¿Por qué no comparar a futuro? Porque en ocasiones se quiere comparar algo del capítulo 2-3 (por ejemplo) con algo del capítulo 600 y eso inevitablemente lleva a saltarse todo lo sucedido o depender de la memoria. Cuando, como ya dije, estamos viendo poco a poco para opinar concretamente de cada parte. SIN NINGÚN APURO. No tendrían sentido los álbumes sino paramos a mirarlos un poco más detenidamente sólo para saltar a lo que todos recuerdan. La idea es mirar los capítulos con calma y debatirlos sin prisa.

Si nosotros como fans solemos ofendernos de que critiquen algo que nos gusta, imagínense que tan a la defensiva estará su creador que ha invertido tiempo y esfuerzo en hacerlo. Como dijo el general Iroh en avatar, el orgullo es la causa de la vergüenza e indudablemente todos los creadores se sienten orgullosos de sus creaciones, así que encontrarle errores causa vergüenza y todos tratan de justificarlos por lo mismo. Nos pasa incluso a los fickers cuando vemos nuestras primeras obras y notamos feos errores que quisiéramos olvidar. El cómo reaccionamos a esas críticas varía mucho, algunos lo toman a mal, otros como algo para crecer, pero siempre duele, aunque sea un poquito, en el orgullo. Así que la palabra de un autor no es absoluta, cierto que es su obra y tiene libertad de hacer cuanto guste, pero nosotros como consumidores de ese producto, podemos opinar. De lo contrario, tendríamos prohibido siquiera pensar que fics “ezkritoz azhi” no nos gustan, porque tendríamos que aceptar que su autora lo hizo así y por eso es su arte.

Y para opinar con argumentos, debemos tomar con pinzas las palabras de los autores porque muchas veces ellos mismos se contradicen. Por ejemplo, J.K Rowling dijo que el legado maldito es canon, pero tiene varias contradicciones a su propia obra Harry Potter. Tantas que incluso los fans lo llaman badfic hecho canon. Aquí hay una crítica de youtube que tiene algunas de las que más me molestaron.

 En el caso de Kishimoto, por ejemplo dijo que mató a Neji para acercar a Naruto y Hinata, pero ¿dónde? ¿En la guerra? ¿Cuándo? ¿Por qué se dieron la mano? Esto lo señalo porque Kishimoto mismo participó en la creación de The last, película donde el NH se hizo canon y ni una mención a Neji y su sacrificio. Cosa que incluso Pierrot en su relleno del día de la boda hizo. Un relleno lo menciona, ¿y el autor no? Y no es la única contradicción entre lo que dice y su obra. Creer que es un argumento “pero Kishimoto dijo en una entrevista que…” es el equivalente a que en un examen de matemáticas nos reprueben por poner que 2+2=5 y nosotros nos defendamos diciendo: “pero pensé en 4, aunque no se vea reflejado ahí juro que lo pensé”. Y como no podemos probar si es falso o cierto que lo pensó, se cae en la falacia de la ignorancia que mencioné antes.

Hay cosas que sí se notan, por ejemplo, también dijo que Naruto está basado en varios shonen, incluyendo los de Togashi (hunter x hunter y yuyu hakusho) eso no tiene ni que jurarlo porque los exámenes chunnin son casi un adaptaplagio de los exámenes de cazador, así que eso si te creo, porque lo veo.

COSPLAY WIP : firespunalchemy

When I decided it was time to tackle Umi Ryuuzaki from Magic Knight Rayearth, I knew this would be my first major build and I needed to do some serious research before diving in.

I’ve always kept a kind of to do list for previous cosplays, but I have about six pages of planning for Umi, covering each major component as I look up different methods and materials. I’d had the wig for her for a while, even styling it (it was a wavy wig I got from Arda on sale that I straightened and trimmed), so that part was out of the way, but there was still so much more to do.

Over the quarantine in 2020, I thought this was the perfect time to start with the most intimidating part: her sword. I found files on Etsy, and contacted a friend with a 3D printer since I don’t have one.

She asked for specifications such as layer depth and what kind of filament, which I definitely didn’t know much about, and was kind enough to help teach me (it’s printed at a standard layer depth out of PLA). It started as about 8 separate pieces that I glued together with a five minute epoxy around a ¼” thick, 52 in long aluminum rod (as specified by the files).

Then...the sanding began. I started with about a 150 grit sandpaper, working on getting down the layer lines and any epoxy that had gooped out the sides, working up to about 800 grit. Then I primed with a sandable filler primer, sanded more, and then used a nail buffing block to buff and shine. I then used some Bondo to fill in areas that were a little low, before doing another round of sandable filler primer, sanding, buffing, polishing.

After one more round of this, I painted the whole thing with a grey primer, and started painting the blade with a silver craft paint. I started painting the handle, pommel, and guard before I realized the blade’s paint felt strangely tacky. When I tried to sand it, the paint gummed up, so I had to peel it by hand until I got enough off to sand the rest down.

Ended up sanding it all the way back down to the print and having to re-prime. I did one layer of sandable primer, sanding, buffing, polishing, and felt it looked smooth enough to move on to the grey primer again. This time I didn’t want to take any chances (or more time) so I used a hammered silver spray paint for the blade. The rest of the sword was completely painted by hand, with a gloss top coat over the gem sections, then an iridescent top coat over everything.

 After all that, I figured I’d start on a smaller and easier part: her headband. This is what I’m currently working on, building out of foam and foam clay. The reference art for Umi’s armor is incredibly inconsistent on the headband, so I’ve had to choose within my options what I want to go with.

I first made the wing attachments out of 6mm EVA 50 high density foam, cutting them out from a pattern I drew in paper then rounding out with a Dremel. I primed it with about six layers of Bounce from Hot Wire Foam Factory, then realized I hadn’t accounted for several things.

So I cut them out and sanded them down again, but this time in 4 mm EVA 38 foam, etched shapes into them with a Dremel, then added foam clay to create dimension. I’m waiting for the foam clay additions to dry until I can say this will work and move forward. Thankfully, those failed pieces serve as a great way to test whether this priming method is really what I want to use, since it’s kind of a pain to apply.

I’m also working on the gems for her chest, headband, and hand, testing out methods that don’t require casting in resin. I don’t currently have a large enough setup or the budget to get into playing with resin sadly, so I’m testing the classic method of hot glue as well as using a silicone mold with foam clay. Hot glue gem creation has been an interesting process, because the eyeshadow I used to color my test gem shifted after being exposed to heat and became much greener. With the foam clay gems, I’m having trouble with air bubbles present on the surface. So I’m trying out using some Bondo to fill those holes, sanding, then priming with Plastidip. So far, the results are promising!

Other than that, I’ve ordered swatches for fabric options for the body of her costume, which I’ll have to start drafting the pattern for soon. This is my first major build, so about 90% of what I need to do is something I’ve never done before (3D printing, making gems, making boot covers, drafting a pattern…) and that’s been a great way to keep myself focused and time occupied during the nightmare of the last year. I know for many cosplayers, 2020 was rough because not having a deadline meant they felt little motivation to work, but for me it’s always been the pursuit of the craft so I’ve just been slowly chipping away at projects.

But then my cosplay journey has been a little a-typical anyway. I first learned about cosplay when some friends mentioned wanting to go to this anime convention in Dallas, A-Kon, back in around 2005. We were all in high school so we had to get permission from our parents and my boyfriend at the time drove us up there (we lived over 4 hours away). He also made my first costume of Sakura from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, while I thrifted my second costume of Melfina from Outlaw Star.

We all cosplayed and went to cons together for a few years, but then life kind of got in the way and I spent about a decade out of the convention and cosplay world. PAX South in 2015 really ignited it again, and I’ve been cosplaying ever since. For me, on a very serious level cosplay has been a way to work through some gender and body stuff, as well as stage fright/anxiety.

But I also just really enjoy coming up with creative solutions to problems and learning new skills so challenges like Sogeking’s mask or Umi’s headband are great puzzles. It doesn’t hurt that I keep cosplaying characters few people probably even remember, much less cosplay, so there are very few tutorials I can use to guide my way and I’m okay with that. I’m here to have fun and re-create some of my favorite characters, whether from recent anime or obscure and old series (just wait until I make Sabriel), learning and making friends along the way.

No he doesn’t Kishimoto favourite female character is Hinata he stated this himself at  Jump Festa.

Back in 2015, Kishimoto told fans at New York Comic Con he had a soft spot for the heiress. “I’m kind of a little shy of having to mention a character that I myself created… Uhh… I guess maybe I should say Hinata. Yeah, I think I’ll go with Hinata,” 

When asked why he said “I guess because she’s not violent at all.”
