I had the CRAZIEST obsession on Joan of Arc back in the 8th grade, so when I woke up to this!?!? THE SCREAM I SCREAMT. This is literally everything to me oh my lord

if you’ve ever seen a pocket shrine, this is what im referencing!!! i love all things lacey, frilly, and very much over the top— all the lace was so fun to draw :3 the flames were probably the hardest part of this (mainly because i was lazy and and did not want to put in the effort )

a lot of Joan of Arc prayer cards are very serious (read: just a little boring), so I thought it would be fun to make my own little prayer card-type thing inspired by how fun and decorative pocket shrines are!

and some context for the the Roan of Arc: i had drawn the regular ol Joan of Arc first, but then the VMAs happened so i doodled a little Roan of Arc for funsies lolz!!!! doesn’t really make sense in the context of the piece but I just really wanted to draw chappell roan’s hair haha (also the VMAs performance was so good. I didn’t have the energy for a full roan of arc piece but i wanted to show my appreciation for the fit in some way)
