Starting a family was something Shuichi and Himiko had wanted to do for a while, so by the time Himiko gave birth to their daughter, they were both more than prepared.

Their little girl was adorable. She was sleeping by the time Shuichi was able to see her, but he could just tell that she would have Himiko’s eyes. Of that, he was certain.

When he held her, there was that immediate connection people often talked about. That was his daughter. His and Himiko’s. So much love swelled in his heart in that first moment.

Himiko, though obviously tired, still was raving about how proud she was already of their daughter. She was set on raising her to be one of the strongest mages out there.

Nothing would ever stop them from loving their daughter. What wasn’t to love? She was perfect in their eyes, and they would do her best to raise her to be a loving person.
