Made a basic reference sheet for Fortuna! Even drew her items for the first time lol
I used a pose reference from Posemaniacs, and referenced Sailor Moon herself for the skirt and its shading.
I hope to release the template in some way for other people to use if they're interested, there are a couple slightly different versions of things for it too, but we'll see if I get around to it.

Magic Knight Squad Robe Redesigns
A long time ago, I had the idea of redesigning the uniforms of the Magic Knight squads for the (many) next gen ocs that me and my friends have. I thought it would be fun for the squads to each have a unique article of clothing for the squads' uniforms, to make each group a little more unique beyond their colors.
With the help of my beloved friend Steph ( @cringeyvanillamilk ), that idea has now come to fruition! I commissioned her for all the art you are to see.
And modeling the redesigned uniforms are mine and my friends' next gen ocs.
Representing the Golden Dawn is @lyranova's oc, Alistar Vangeance.
For the Black Bulls is @eme-eleff's oc, Hikari Yami.
Wearing the Crimson Lion King's uniform is @thoughtfullyrainynightmare's oc, Leonidas Vermillion.
From my own collection of ocs and representing the Blue Rose Knights is Dawn Faust.
The representative for the Aqua Deers is also my oc, Merel Faust.
The Silver Eagle's uniform is worn by @koneko-pi's oc, Avalinia Silva.
Representing the Coral Peacocks is @sailor-muno's oc, Bellini Fortuna.
Showing off for the Green Praying Mantises is @faewraithsworld's oc, Sullivan Vixen.
And the model for the Purple Orcas is another of @/faewraithsworld's ocs, Zoisite Ideale.
The CLK and GPM's uniforms have different versions that can be worn by the squad members. As seen below.
Thank you to Steph for taking my commission. And thank you to all my lovely friends for allowing me to turn your next gens into some gorgeous models!
Further notes about the uniforms below the cut.
Golden Dawn: they wear full body coats that are meant to be worn open. Squad members can have tassels added to their coats so they can be tied close if they so choose.
Black Bulls: they're not wearing leather jackets. It's standard fabric, that's all. Jacket length is somewhat adjustable though longer jackets are avoided to steer clear of having the same silhouette as the Golden Dawn.
Crimson Lion Kings: the sashes are sewn so that squad members don't have to wrap the fabric over their shoulder and around their waist every time they don their uniform.
Blue Rose Knights: it's a short cape already attached to a shirt. You'd just put it on like a regular shirt and hope that you don't get the cape in your face as you put it on.
Aqua Deer: it's a scarf, plain and simple. The ends of the scarf are to be a clean cut.
Silver Eagles: this squad retains the original form that a majority of the squad robes have in canon, a short mantle with an long cape attached. For the next gen's version, the fluff of the mantle was made a smaller component so that the feathers can be the main focus, instead of being mostly equal parts fluff and feather.
Coral Peacocks: a waist sash with the end of the fabric being shaped to resemble the tail feathers of a peacock.
Green Praying Mantises: arm sleeves that can just cover the forearms or cover the upper arms too. There's also a version with a slit in the sleeves in case there are squad members who don't want to wear the form fitting sleeves.
Purple Orcas: a vest with pointed hems reminiscent of the triangular shape of the squad robe worn by the previous generation. There are buttons on the vest so they can be worn open or closed to a squad member's preferences. (And most members tend to wear a shirt under the vest. Zoisite only wears his uniform this way because he can.)

Faber suae fortunae
Or Quintus and Maider's love story towards freedom.
Chapter 17
From that day at the Colosseum onward, no one ever saw Tenax, Maider, Cala, or any of their company again.
Some said they had escaped northward by land. Others believed they had headed south, but no one seemed to have crossed their path or exchanged even a few words with them.
All of Tenax’s properties had been sold to foreign entrepreneurs, who revealed they had done business through intermediaries and knew the seller only by sparse, fleeting remarks.
Some speculated that all those sales must have brought in several million sesterces, enough for Tenax and his company to live well for generations.
Domitian, having narrowly escaped assassination, was busy from that point on with keeping both the people and the aristocrats on his side. The enchantment sustained for years by the formula “panem et circenses” had all but vanished. Conspiracies followed one after another in the ensuing years, and Domitian, increasingly weakened, no longer had the strength to think of Tenax.
Over time, and amid greater problems, he forgot him.
One day, a rumor surfaced that Tenax, Maider, Cala, and company had left on a Greek ship, likely departing from Ostia.
Shortly after, another rumor spread: that ship had likely sunk, and all had perished.
In the midst of widespread dismay, Rome forgot Tenax, and it forgot Maider.
Yet, even as time passed, her songs continued to be hummed by the people of the city.
They were sung by the kitchen maids, on the lips of children, and in the voices of the shopkeepers.
Rome had tasted a hint of freedom.
And that—no, it would never be forgotten.
***
Cala leaned on the ship’s railing, letting her gaze drift beyond the horizon.
She allowed herself to exhale, perhaps for the first time in days.
Behind and ahead of them, only open sea.
They were a day away from Ostia, and she could finally start to relax.
The stress of the last few days had been unbearable, and she still couldn’t believe she’d pulled it off.
Without Tenax’s help, but with his invaluable advice, she had closed every open issue, amassed a large fortune, made sure that Tenax and Maider survived the Flavian Amphitheater, and organized their escape route to Ostia and then to their next destination.
Damn, she had been excellent.
Possibly the greatest achievement of her life, and she’d done it.
She smiled, and a solitary tear ran down her cheek.
“Now we start over,” she told herself.
—Mother, are you okay?
Cala turned slightly. Jula stood close by, holding her daughter, little Arya, in her arms.
Cala wiped her cheek.
—Oh, don’t mind me, darling. It’s just the tension of the last few days, it’s finally easing now. I’m just glad we’re all here.
Jula hugged her, and so did Arya.
—You did an excellent job. We’re all safe because of you.
—Oh, stop it. Without Tenax’s plans, I probably wouldn’t have known what to do.
—Then let’s say you made a great team. You’ll see, he’ll be the first to tell you when he wakes up.
Cala sighed.
Since Tyrone had broken the chains binding him to that column at the Colosseum, Tenax had drifted in and out of consciousness.
He had lost a lot of blood and was completely exhausted.
In those frantic moments, the whole group had helped Tenax.
He’d been quickly treated with bandages and ointments, laid on a cart, taken to Ostia, brought aboard the ship they were currently on, and placed in a spacious cabin.
Maider, who had a few bruises and scrapes but nothing serious, watched over him day and night, along with Nica.
A crew member, who had some medical knowledge, examined him and said his body just needed resting, and he’d wake up soon.
Everyone on that ship was waiting for that moment.
Tenax was the rope holding them together, and seeing him in pain saddened them all.
Cala heard Kwame laughing and snapped out of her thoughts, turning her head.
He was talking to one of the sailors, who was animatedly explaining how the ship worked.
Cala smiled. Her son loved adventure. The moment she freed him, despite the tension, had been one of the best of her life.
Now Kwame would choose his own adventure, one nobody could ever impose on him again. Cala was ready to let him go, as long as he was free and happy.
—Mother!
Cala turned again, along with Jula. Aura was running towards her with Iris and a couple kids of Tenax’s little army.
—What is it? —she asked.
Aura smiled.
—Tenax is awake!
Cala thanked her gods, and after a moment of emotional hesitation, she hurried below deck.
***
Maider had only a hard wooden chair with a cushion.
She’d spent the last two nights there and would stay as long as it took for Tenax to recover.
Despite her aching back, she didn’t care.
She looked over at Tenax.
He was sleeping peacefully, half-covered. His torso was bandaged due to the whip wounds, as were his wrists, one arm, and a leg, with wounds of varying severity. Not to mention the numerous bruises, treated with ointments and creams.
All in the process of healing, of course. But still so painfully visible.
Maider sighed.
The crew had set up a cot for her, but she preferred the chair. She felt that all her accumulated worry would only dissipate once Tenax awoke. And so she sat there, more or less ready, more or less alert.
Nica was asleep on the cot, never having left Tenax and Maider side for a moment. Maider felt a deep affection for the little girl, though perhaps she wasn’t ready to admit it to herself. She gently brushed a blond strand from Nica’s face with a slight smile.
“Sleep a little, darling,” she had told her. “I’ll call you when Tenax wakes up.”
Nica had nodded and, utterly exhausted, fell asleep immediately on the cot.
Maider drew her chair closer to Tenax’s bed. She leaned forward. She took his hand in hers and stroked it.
—We did it, Quintus. It was… —she hesitated, shaking her head— …it was insane, but we did it. To think that a month ago, I had no purpose in life other than to idle away. I lived without worrying about the future because I felt safe within the four walls of the Hur palace. And now… now I’ve been through so much. We’ve been through so much. But I know what I want from the future. I want you. I want to start a family with you. Maybe even with Nica, because I adore her. I want you to teach me everything you know, and I want to teach you everything I know.
She closed her eyes, lowering her head, his hand against her cheek.
—You’d probably say I’m being sappy. But we’ve had some pretty rough moments; let me indulge a bit.
She sighed.
—You turned my life upside down, Quin. And it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Except for the lions and beatings, of course.
She felt Tenax’s hand gently stroke her.
She almost had a heart attack.
She looked up immediately. Green eyes met blue ones. He smiled weakly at her.
—I agree on the part about the lions and beatings —Tenax murmured.
She covered her mouth with her hand and, carefully avoiding his wounds, threw her arms around his neck.
She cried.
In truth, they both cried, quietly.
***
Everyone crowded into Tenax’s cabin.
Indeed, there was quite a crowd.
When they heard that Tenax had finally regained consciousness, the entire group rushed below deck to check on him.
So, beside Maider, who held his hand by the bed, and Nica, Cala, Aura, Jula, Kwame, Claudia, Elia, Iris, Tyrone, tiny Arya, and Tenax’s little army, all eight of them—Woola, Julio, Aurelius, Rami, Claudius, Zara, Marcus, and Demetra—were there.
—How are you? —Cala asked.
—Like I’ve been run over by a cart, —said Tenax— but better than yesterday. I’ll be fine.
After a moment of silence, he continued.
—I admit that being beaten and whipped has somewhat altered my understanding of what happened in the last few days. Did we really make it?
Cala smiled at him. She nodded.
—Yes. Operation Tabula Rasa went off without a hitch. I followed all your instructions, though I’d have liked a bit more time.
Tenax sighed, understanding.
—Did you sell everything?
Cala nodded.
—Yes. We’ve got half the ship loaded with chests of gold. We bought silence and cooperation from many, but we’ve still got a fortune left.
—Give me a number, Cala.
—Almost thirty million, Tenax. Almost thirty million sesterces.
Half the room’s jaws literally dropped. The other half burst into astonished comments. Even Tenax was very surprised.
—Damn. I didn’t think I was that rich.
Cala hesitated.
—You were richer, actually. Buying Kwame’s freedom cost quite a bit, as did the silence of the apothecary and lion tamers, who helped us poison the animals.
—I understand, and that’s fine, —he said, stroking Maider’s hand but keeping his gaze on Cala— we’re only here because of you. If we’d ended up with a few thousand sesterces, we’d still be lucky. Thank you, Cala, from the bottom of my heart.
Cala smiled at him, a bit moved.
—Don’t thank me. I just returned the favor. What would have happened to me and my children without you? I may have solved a few difficult situations… and yes, difficult is an understatement, but I never would have made it without your help. Seeing all of us safe is the greatest reward.
Tenax smiled at her warmly, then raised his eyebrows with some difficulty.
—Too bad. I was planning to give you five million sesterces…
—Five? —she exclaimed— Are you crazy? I was expecting at least ten!
Everyone laughed.
—All right, all right, —said Tenax, after a moment of silence— you all know that if you’re on this ship, and in this cabin, you’re the people I care about most in the world. I know… it’s not easy to imagine me as someone capable of love, but maybe, and I’m saying this to myself as well, it’s time to get used to it. You, all of you, have been with me and helped me not only in these difficult moments, but ever since you’ve known me, and I can never thank you enough for this. Now, you know we’re headed to Sicily. This is because I’m originally from Syracuse: I was born a slave but to patrician parents. And my name isn’t Tenax… it’s Quintus.
Everyone let out a surprised sigh.
—I know. I’ve never told anyone, except Maider. You can call me that from now on, if you want. But I am and always will be Tenax, too. So both names are fine.
He gestured for Maider to hand him a glass of water. He was still very tired and weak. Maider handed it to him. Tenax drank, then gave it back to her, thanking her with a gentle glance.
—Friends, there’s no need to beat around the bush. You’re free to do whatever you want. I mean, you can come with me to Syracuse, where I want to buy a big house and live a new life… or go somewhere else.
Cala nodded.
—I had expressed my wish to return to Numidia…
—Mother—Jula interrupted her—Elia and I actually want to go back to his home in Baetica.
Cala looked confused.
—But Jula…
—Mother—Aura chimed in—We also want to go to Baetica, Iris and I. Elia told us he has a family estate there, with lots of animals! The nearby town is small and peaceful, and Iris and I could open a little shop…
Cala was speechless and could only look at Elia with a worried expression, saying:
—And you didn’t tell me anything!
He raised his hands.
—Forgive us, Cala, we didn’t have time. I’ve always wanted to return to Baetica, and this seems like the right moment. The house is large, we have animals and some land. With a bit of money, I’m sure we can make it flourish.
—I’ll take care of that—Tenax said—I can give you the right amount to…
—Hold on, Tenax—Cala replied, a little worried, looking first at her children and then at Tyrone—I… Tyrone and I had thought of going back to Numidia. But I can’t do that without my children and granddaughter.
Tyrone stepped closer to her. He took Cala’s hands in his. All eyes were on them.
—It’s alright, Cala. We’ll go to Baetica too. We’ll stay with the kids until they’re settled, and who knows… maybe my son Kahir can join us as well.
Cala allowed herself to let her guard down.
—Tyrone, I…
—I love you. You know that. But it’s right that you stay with your family. I’ll follow you and help, if Elia wants.
—Of course I want to!—said the young Corsi—And your son is welcome, Tyrone.
Cala let out a resigned but serene sigh. She squeezed Tyrone’s hands, kissed him softly on the cheek, and said:
—Thank you.
A thank you filled with countless meanings. A thank you that would turn into kisses and embraces, in private.
—So…—Cala said—Baetica it is!
—Good—Tenax added—The ship will reach Syracuse, and then I’ll arrange for you to be brought to Baetica. You, and any others in our group who wish to join you.
Kwame slowly stepped forward.
—Forgive me, Tenax, mother…
Everyone fell silent, looking at him. He cleared his throat.
—I’ve spoken a lot with the sailors on this ship. They’ve seen that I’m sharp and that I learn quickly. They’re Greek merchants, and they’ve offered me a place on their crew.
Cala nodded solemnly. Aura and Jula looked more worried.
—Alright, but we just got you back, brother—Aura said—Are you telling us we won’t see you anymore?
He approached his sisters, placing his hands on their shoulders.
—That’s not entirely true, sisters. I’ll come visit, and in the meantime… I’ll see the world. I spent years in a cell, fighting to survive. And now that I’m free again, I want to savor every moment of my freedom. I want to travel, explore, see. But I can’t do that if I stay put in one place.
Cala came closer to them.
—Kwame is right. He deserves to follow his own path, even if we’ll miss him terribly.
Jula and Aura nodded, tears in their eyes. Jula gave him a playful pat.
—Poor sailors…—she laughed—They have no idea how much trouble you’ll give them with that personality of yours.
—Come here—said Kwame.
The four of them embraced tenderly. Everyone in the room was moved.
Tenax held Maider’s hand, and she hurried to kiss it softly. Out of the corner of his eye, Tenax saw Nica reaching for his hand. He held her small hand, squeezing it affectionately.
—If I may…—Woola said, stepping up to Tenax—I’d like to go with you, Tenax. I imagine you’ll need help in your new estate.
Tenax smiled at him.
—You’re welcome, Woola. And with you, anyone else who wants to come with me.
—Elia...—said Julio—I’d like to go with you. I heard you have beautiful horses, and I’d love to help take care of them. If I’m not imposing, that is…
Elia tousled his blond hair.
—You’re not imposing, Julio. I’ll need all the help I can get, actually. Anyone who wants to come to Baetica is welcome!
The hands of three more children went up. There was Zara, of Numidian origins, who had always gotten along well with Cala and now wanted to go with her. Then Demetra, who was a bit older and had helped Jula with Arya. She, too, wanted to stay with them. And finally Aurelius, who shared Julio’s love for animals and was his loyal friend; he’d follow him anywhere.
Still, Woola was also close to Julio, and he felt a bit sad at the thought of parting ways. But Woola would never leave Tenax, and Julio knew it well. They hugged, promising to write to each other.
Claudius, Marcus, and Rami would go with Tenax, because they felt more than loyalty to him—they felt a deep affection and gratitude. They would help him with the new estate and then go wherever their paths led them.
As the children of Tenax’s army embraced each other, aware that they would soon part ways, Claudia approached Tenax’s bed and said:
—Master, you know how I feel. I’ve served you for many years, and I’ll continue to, forever.
Tenax gave her a grateful smile. He let go of Maider’s hand for a moment and held his out to his governess. Claudia, astonished, took it in hers.
—You honor me, Claudia, but from now on, no more “master.” You’ll stay with me as an employee, but with complete freedom.
Claudia felt her eyes well up.
—You would really do that for me?
Tenax squeezed her hand, and said softly:
—The fact that you’re staying is more than I deserve. Now don’t get me emotional, because I might start crying, and that wouldn’t be a pretty sight.
A single tear ran down Claudia’s cheek. She kissed the back of his hand.
—Thank you, Tenax. Thank you.
A few more minutes passed. Tenax was very tired and needed rest.
Everyone quietly left the cabin, one by one.
Only Maider and Nica stayed.
The bed in the cabin was wide, and Maider and Nica lay down on either side of Tenax.
He smiled.
—Please, don’t tell me you two want to go to Baetica too.
They laughed. Tenax held his ribs, wincing in pain. Maider gently stroked his hair.
—Oh, I’m only coming with you for the money. Right, Nica?
The little girl nodded.
—Yeah, definitely for the money.
They laughed again. Tenax held his ribs once more. Nica hugged his arm tightly.
—All jokes aside…—she said—You do want me, right?
Tenax and Maider exchanged a knowing look, then turned to her.
—Actually—said Tenax—We wanted to ask if you want us.
Nica’s little heart skipped a beat. She pointed to herself.
–Me?
–Yes,– Tenax said, –I’m not sure if you noticed, but I’ve lost my collection of pebbles. It’s going to take some time to rebuild it.
Nica blinked her big green eyes.
–How long?
Tenax seemed to think about it, once again exchanging a look with Maider.
–I don’t know… maybe a lifetime?
It took Nica a moment to understand. She looked back and forth between Maider and Tenax.
–You… you want to adopt me?
Maider and Tenax held each other close.
–Yes,– he told her, winking, –if that’s what you want. Although, you’ll have to be patient with us. I mean, your adoptive father is a former criminal, and your adoptive mother is an anti-imperial rabble-rouser, and…
Nica didn’t let him finish. She stood, walked around the bed, and hugged them both gently.
Tears streamed down her cheeks.
She could barely speak.
–Thank you,– was all she could say. –It’s everything I’ve ever wanted.
In that moment, Maider and Tenax felt complete.

THE STORY CURSE & HAPPILY EVER AFTER ✨💖👑
Hello everyone!
Since the beginning of the trilogy, we know that the story curse is a prevalent thing in the world of the Magnificent North.
Every story is warped, not to be trusted, and constantly changing.
No one remembers the ending to The Ballad of the Archer and the Fox. The stories about the Valors hold truths and lies. All of the stories have some magic in them that it seems a little unbelievable.
All of them are cursed.
But what if they weren't before? What if the Magnificent North was really a place where happily ever after existed and lasted after all?
⚠️ Spoiler Warning for Once Upon A Broken Heart and The Ballad of Never After. ⚠️
Let's start with the map:
Welcome to the Magnificent North
Stories Be Here
The Great Gateway Arch is the sole reason why the mystical magic inside the Magnificent North cannot escape. Before Evangeline sets one foot in Valorfell, she believes that one must not speak in case the magic straining to come out steals their voices.
It's like a curse, emphasized with this line, "Stories Be Here."
The welcoming arch is like a doorway to a different world entirely. The whole kingdom is affected by this story curse that warps all stories. The magic there even affects other powers like the Fates'.
I don't know where I heard it from, but on the basis of how to do world-building, Stephanie stresses that you must choose one aspect that the overall story could revolve around and build upon it. In this case, she said she built the OUABH setting around the story curse.
It's important.
It's a prevalent force that follows Evangeline Fox and her journey. Her beloved story doesn't have a solid ending because no one seems to know how it ends.
The first place she stays at, The Mermaid and the Pearls, is based on a tale. The story goes that the mermaids had tricked sailors and turned them into pearls. While it may not be true, Evangeline remained wary of the pearls present in her room. It's a strange tale with some horror, as are the rest of them.
While fairytales aren't usually pleasant (ex. Grimm Brothers), I suppose the Northern fairytales that Evangeline knows and loves are the ones that have happy endings.
The Valors 👑🐺
The first royal family is the center of all mystery. Everyone is familiar with the tale that all members of the Valors were beheaded because they had created something terrible, and the Great Houses had to intervene. (Here's a rough overview of what we know of the Valors in OUABH).
Long time ago during the Age of the Valors, apparently the good ruled.
She knew the outcome—the Valors built the Valory, sealed something inside of it, and then their heads were all chopped off, ending the Age of the Valors and ushering in the Age of Great Houses.
TBONA, pg. 130
I believe the Great Houses are responsible for the story curse. Since no one seems to know the truth about the Valors, it makes it easier for the Protectorate, which holds members from the Great Houses, to spread lies about them and frightening tales about what the Valory Arch holds.
We know everything that the Protectorate believes is not true. But the stories they believe are frightening and believable enough. Tiberius and Lady Fortuna were so terrified that they tried to kill Evangeline before she had the opportunity to even open the arch.
The Great Houses are hiding something, and that is the truth.
Look especially here:
She found stories of before—of the Age of the Valors, when knights always won, good always beat out evil, honor was always rewarded, and fairytales always ended happily. Then there were the tales of after—the Age of Great Houses, which often flickered and changed to the Age of Great Curses as she read.
TBONA, pg. 130
The Age of Great Curses!!!
While not stated, the welcoming arch must have been created to not only lock the magic inside but to curse the whole kingdom from experiencing happy endings.
The final book is called A Curse For True Love. The story is currently in the Age of the Great Houses, with the Acadian House as the royal family.
Something fishy is going on.
As we learned in The Ballad of Never After, the Slaughterwood House is the reason the Age of the Valors ended. Castor Valor was killed, Jacks brought him to Honora Valor, and she brought him back. However, Castor was not the same anymore. He was a monster.
The Great Houses must have used this reason to convince everyone that the Valors were not to be trusted. They "chopped off their heads," (even though there's no proof of this happening), locked them inside the Valory Arch, and created a prophecy key.
While Vengeance Slaughterwood went on to have a family, the Acadian House was chosen to rule the Magnificent North. This must have been their plan from the start. They believed a member from one of the Great Houses was better suited to the throne than the Valors themselves.
Tragedy has touched tales and left them with a sorrow taste.
Happily Ever After 💐💖
Now that the Valors are revealed to be alive, including Aurora Valor, the return of their "fairytale" influence is possible.
Could the Magnificent North be a place where happily ever after is tangible again? I believe so!
A Curse For True Love could possibly bring back this lovely magic. Narrative wise, I think it'd be such a neat idea to complete Evangeline and Jacks' story. Evangeline craves a love so powerful that it breaks spells. She desires a love story like her parents'.
And Jacks is looking for true love after suffering so many sad tales and heartbreaking endings.
In Beauty and the Beast, the Beast's castle was transformed from dreary goblins and fallen structure to shiny white, sparkling angels, and stable grounds.
Something like this could happen to the Magnificent North. From curses to happy endings ❤
In conclusion:
The Magnificent North was a place where happily ever afters existed. The Valors had kept it alive. Then the Great Houses locked them and brought on an age of curses and unhappy endings.
The story curse could be no more as we reach the end of this trilogy. And if it doesn't end, the story curse can become the story fortune. 😉
That way a story could have the chance to end happily. The Ballad of the Archer and the Fox can have another ending. Evangeline and Jacks can have their happily ever after.
This is the story between two villains for the heart of one girl and a happily ever after. Which leads me to this certainty:
Evangeline and Jacks are endgame. They'll go through hardships and heartbreak in ACFTL, but they will find each other again. Jacks is going to win and Evangeline will choose him over Apollo. True Love will triumph 💖❤🫀

Per Ardua Ad Astra - THOSE ABOUT TO DIE Chapter Two
[THOSE ABOUT TO DIE MASTERLIST]
Previous Chapter / Next Chapter
Summary: After a whole month in Rome, she was starting to like her life in the city, though she never stopped longing for her homeland, and her brothers. She prayed they would be reunited one day but when Aelius - the sailor that got her on the merchant's ship - reappeared, it perturbed the great day that she was having, after Tenax allowed her to attend games at the Circus Maximus. And health complication made for a very painful few days afterwards. But as she always did, she endured.
Words: 4k
Warnings: title means "through adversity/struggle to the stars" // Those about to die (no spoilers yet), 1st person (somewhat unreliable narrator - doesn't mean that she lies about the events, just that it's her recollection/perception of them), blood/abortion, mention of SA and murder
On the 28th of August 75 CE, about a month after I arrived in Rome, - and exactly a month and 9 days after I got stuck on that boat -, there were gamed held at the Circus Maximus, on the occasion of a festival for the God Sol and the Goddess Luna, where all the races would take place. These games were started with a parade in the city, which I learned was called the pompa circensis. I thought I’d have to beg Tenax to let me attend the parade and the games, but it actually didn’t take a lot of convincing. I merely asked and he told me to go, pretending not to care about it. I didn't know if he cared or not but, in any case, I got to wander around the city on my own, taking in the cheerfulness and excitement of the crowd. I couldn’t believe that I would feel this much joy after what I went through to get there but I welcomed it. I followed the Romans to the Circus Maximus, bought myself a ticket and ran up the stairs to get a nice seat in the stands, watching the athletic events and beasts hunts and cheered for the chariot races. I leapt to my feet and everyone in the stadium chanted Scorpus’ name after he won. He waved at us and gave me a smile after crossing eyes with me – I was in the lower stands, right above the stall he stopped by.
“Ah, my favorite Spaniard.” I chuckled, the smile on my face getting even bigger as I leaned over the railing to talk to him as the stablehands brought the horses back inside. He got off his chariot, handing the reins to a stablehand.
“You were incredible.”
“I am, after all, the great Scorpus, but – Fortuna blesses me with your support.” He brought a hand to his heart and then blew me a kiss. He knew his worth and wasn’t shy to show his confidence. I liked Scorpus. He made me laugh with his manners, and he was very handsome. I really liked him. Everytime we spoke, there were only a couple of thoughts going on in my head; that he was, as I said, handsome and that his accent was beyond attractive. I now realize I probably – definitely – romanticized him too much. I didn’t care that he was a drunk, and I was oblivious to the fact he was constantly meeting with prostitutes. I saw these men and women on the streets but never thought much of them, and Tenax understandably forbade me from going to places remotely close to pleasure houses. I wasn’t interested in those places anyway.
Tenax stepped out and looked up at me, “How are you enjoying the games?”
“Greatly. The games are just – amazing!” I glanced at the thousands of people sat all around the stadium. Tenax looked glad I was having such a great time.
I was really starting to get used to life in Rome, working for Tenax; taking bets, serving clients at the tavern and prepping horses with Gavros before the races. It got me running around quite a lot. The stables were a couple of kilometres away from the tavern and the entrance of the stadium. I also came to realize, rather quickly, that Tenax wasn’t as heartless and impassible as he made it seem, but I was quite content to be on his good side because I knew this wasn’t entirely an act either, if he held a grudge against you or you owed him something – you were screwed. I didn’t see anything like that happen – it happened in the shadows, and I was not meant to know anything about his business and clearly, I wasn’t going to ask about it – but I saw the men who worked for him, sometimes leaving the tavern after talking to Tenax.
They were nice to me and all, but I could imagine them tracking down some guy for Tenax, following the through the streets, at the dead of night. I would lie in my bed, in the corner of the room at the back of his flat, and look at the moon outside the window when I knew Tenax wasn’t home because he was out and about and I imagined what was the issue, but I was so tired from running around all day, I always fell asleep quickly, woken up by the sunlight, or if I turned in my sleep and rolled on my wrong shoulder. We were busy during the day – there were a few dozens of races every week. Festivals like this happened as often as races, but such grand circus games happen on specific occasions like that day, and it was one of the few times I attended such events alongside the citizens of Rome. I would usually be at the betting tavern and then watch the races through small opening in the stalls’ doors with Tenax. At the midday break, people went out of the stadium to eat – most went to the Forum a little further and a few dozen people filled Tenax’s tavern and so I worked for a bit. I didn’t mind – I was happy to move a bit after sitting for so long. The thrill of the games made me quite efficient I must say.
“Wine please.”
“Here.” I turned around, carafe in hand, my gaze following my hands as I poured the drink in the man’s cup. I froze when he wrapped his hand around my wrist suddenly, some wine spilling on the table. The gasp I let out was drowned out by the ambient loudness of the tavern. When the man said my name, I finally looked at him and I was in shock.
“Aelius—” I couldn’t believe it was him.
“I saw you in the parade… I’d been looking for you. Oh, Gods, Aldea – I am so sorry for what happened, I— they threw me in the holds the whole day, and then I learned that you were locked in the captain's cabin...” I felt his apologies were genuine and he felt guilty about what happened, but I did not want to have that conversation with him there and then. This whole ordeal was something I wanted to forget and the mere sight of him was just reminding me of it. He was the living reminder that I left my family for a stupid reason – because I thought I loved him. I wanted him gone and I was getting frustrated and angry with myself for just standing there and letting him go on. “Aldea, I heard you scream that night – the whole crew heard it.”
I spoke, but it was barely a whisper, “please, let go of me.” I tried to yank his hand away but did so quite weakly and my arm was just pulled back towards him. It made me lean forward. The garment I wore over my dress, wrapped around my shoulder and secured with a brooch to hide the sling in which my arm was still in at the time, fell a little and showed the top of said sling and my drooping shoulder. It was quite obvious that something was wrong – it looked like I had no collarbone except for a bump in the middle of the swollen area. I saw his eyes fall on my shoulder and managed to free myself from his grip – though his grip wasn’t actually that tight – and I straightened up, pulling back my garment and was about to walk away when he stood up to stop me. I saw the worry in his eyes, but I didn’t want any of it.
“I knew he must have hurt you. I should have done something… I wanted to go find you, when they took you to be sold as a slave in Rome but – I couldn’t. Then I heard you’d been bought by this man, this Tenax, a criminal. I needed to check on you.”
“Please, just leave.” I looked around, searching for Tenax desperately. I didn’t feel in any danger – Aelius would never hurt me – but I wanted him gone. That was the only thing I could think about as I tried to not listen to what he was saying – it was too painful to hear and be reminded of. Then I saw him near the betting desk, in the distance. He was looking in my direction and saw the man in front of me, his hand on my arm. He didn’t know what was happening, but he did not look happy about it and I couldn’t tell which of us his displeasure was directed at. “I have to go. Just leave.” I avoided looking at Aelius and made my way towards Tenax, almost running into a man that was getting out of his seat. Aelius took a few steps after me, but I saw, from the corner of my eye, one of Tenax’s men blocking him and pushing him in the other direction. Once I reached Tenax and looked back, both of them were gone. I just hoped Aelius wouldn’t fight back and get hurt.
“Who was this?” He enquired.
“It’s just – it’s the sailor who got me on the merchant’s boat.”
“Tell me his name.” I was reluctant to tell him at first, knowing he might hurt for whatever reason, but I figured rather quickly that he would find that piece of information even if I wasn’t the one to give it to him.
“Aelius.”
“Go home. Go.” He insisted, repeating themselves after I didn’t move at first but I didn’t wait for him to raise his voice again and left the betting tavern, walking back to the apartment without stopping. Claudia opened the door, and I simply told her that Tenax sent me home for the afternoon. I saw she wanted to tell me something and thought she was going to ask about why he had sent me home, so I changed the subject before she even brought it up and told her about the games and that I was happy Tenax allowed me to attend but her face stayed the same throughout my brief monologue and I went quiet. She looked concerned. Her question took me aback.
“When did you last bleed?”
“I, uh… I don’t– I don’t know, uh—” I really thought about it and came to the realization that the last time I bled was almost two months ago and I froze for a second, staring into space, before daring to look up at Claudia. “In the beginning of Julius, I think.”
“Two months ago. I was beginning to wonder. You might be pregnant.”
“What? I—” My voice faded, as if my breath had been taken away.
“Were you taken advantage of? On that merchant's boat.” Claudia’s disdain for that man transpired in her voice as she mentioned him and though I was uncomfortable, it reassured me to see that she wasn’t angry with me.
I swallowed harshly, looking down at my feet, “Yes.”
“Stay here.” She left me in the apartment, and I locked the door behind her. I waited, anxiously, walking back and forth in the kitchen, glancing towards the bedroom doors, open. I glanced at the front door, no one was climbing up the stairs. Claudia had been gone for a little while and would still be gone for at least twice as long. I stepped towards Tenax’s room, quietly, as if someone was going to hear me and I looked around the room. A bed against the wall, a few furnitures. It was modest but quite nice – the whole flat was quite nice though much smaller than what I was used to back in Spain, where I lived in a nice house in the valley, built by my family, by my grandfather. I loved that house. I rushed back to the door, jumping on my tiptoes and opened – Claudia was back, with a small pouch in her hands. She went to boil some water and crushed a bunch of leaves and other things together and put them in the water. I watched her from the dining table after she told me to sit down and she poured the tea in a cup and placed it in front of me, telling me to let it cool down a little and drink it – all of it – and so I did. I had no idea what it was, but I figured it was something to stop my pregnancy and I wasn’t going to turn it down. I didn’t want to risk having the merchant’s baby, and even if it was Aelius’ baby, I didn’t want it. I feared Tenax would throw me out if I were to have a baby, and in truth, I was terrified. My mother died giving birth to my brother Elia and knowing that I would get married and have children of my own one day, it caused me to have a crippling fear of pregnancy and childbirth.
Claudia then warned me I would bleed profusely, and have painful cramps, but it was necessary, and temporary. I would have to endure, and I knew I could. I found out I was especially enduring, even though I’d have preferred to not have to. I followed her to the room we shared, and she placed a bucket by my bed and told me to sit over it once cramping started, to avoid making a mess with the blood. I didn’t ask any questions, didn’t say anything and would do as she asked. I trusted her with this – I had to. I lied on my bed for a couple of hours. I felt some discomfort but wasn’t bleeding yet. She gave me another cup of the tea she brewed and threw the rest out of the window. Two more hours later, the discomfort turned into the painful cramps she told me about and I moved to the bucket, pressing my hand against my stomach, leaning my back against the bed. I pursed my lips inwards, closing my eyes shut, wincing from the pain as I tried to be quiet. My whole body grew hot and I was shaking, chills running down my spine. I couldn’t even press too hard against my stomach as my hand, and the rest of my body, felt weak so I bent forward, my hand flat between my thighs and abdomen. I heard when Tenax came home. Claudia was in the kitchen, preparing his dinner and I heard them speak as he sat down at the table. He was asking about me and Claudia told him I wasn’t feeling well. I was indisposed for another couple of days before I stopped bleeding altogether and felt well enough to stand up. Claudia brought me some food, mostly liquid as I couldn't stomach most of it. She then took care of the bucket after she made me some food and I ate, knowing that the time when Tenax would ask about what was going on would come. And I would have to be honest. He came home later in the afternoon and Claudia went to open the door while I stood in the kitchen, my back to the wall. He looked at me, after not seeing me for a little over 2 days.
“Claudia, leave us.” She obliged and went in our room. He told me to sit, and I didn’t dare say anything, or look directly in his eyes, so I sat down. “Are you feeling better?”
“Yes.”
“Good. Tell me what’s been going on.” His tone was firm, but not especially harsh and she didn’t understand whether he was angry, annoyed, or something else. I parted my lips, quiet for a few seconds, taking a shaky breath. I finally met his gaze – though briefly – after he prompted me to speak up.
“I was pregnant. Claudia gave me something to— get rid of it. I don’t– I don’t know if it was Aelius’ or—” I swallowed harshly, cutting myself off. Tenax was listening, not saying anything. I had no idea what was going through his head. I wouldn’t look at him again. “or the merchant’s. He didn’t just break my shoulder—”
“I heard enough. Have you eaten?”
“Yes.”
“Go. Rest.” I nodded and went in the room where Claudia was waiting for our conversation to be over. She left as I came in, patting my shoulder on her way out. I went straight to bed, facing the wall and cried, covering my mouth with my hand. The week was ending on a quite emotional and painful note. I returned to work the next day. It seemed Gavros and Scorpus knew I had been ‘sick’ and so did the kids. The latter were especially happy to see me again and quite literally ran to me. This warm welcome brought me some joy finally and I smiled, telling them I was well now. Things went back to normal. I didn’t talk about it, and neither did Tenax, until a couple days later, I was at the desk taking bets when a hooded man came up to me – it was Aelius again. I took a step back, but he motioned for me to come closer to talk to me. I wouldn’t listen to him, but he insisted, and I sighed.
“Speak. But then, please, leave and never come back.” I walked behind a curtain, and he followed me, so he could tell me whatever he wants to tell me before Tenax saw him and kicked him out again.
“That day I came to see you – Tenax had me followed.” I sighed, knowing this would have happened. “Those two men cornered me in an alley. They wanted to know my boss’ name, and location – which I gave them... He was found dead this morning.”
I stared at him, in disbelief, “He’s dead?”
“You see, now, what this Tenax does? He has people followed, beat up and murdered. He’s a criminal. Look, come with me, I– I can leave with you. We’ll be safe together – I’ll keep you safe.” He tried to grab my shoulder, but I backed away instinctively.
“Don’t touch me. I’m safer here, with him, than anywhere with you. And I can’t leave anyway – I’m Tenax’s slave.”
“His slave? I’ll buy your freedom. I’ve saved some money—”
“Leave – just leave Rome. Please.” I wanted this conversation to end. I was hoping he would stop insisting and luckily, he did, maybe he feared what Tenax would do if he was seen bothering me at the tavern again and he reluctantly walked away, following the other people leaving, while I returned to the desk just a moment before Tenax came in and we closed the bets as the race was about to begin. I looked at him when he had his back turned to me for a second. I couldn’t ask him about whatever happened when there were so many people around, so I waited until we were alone, watching the race through the opening in the doors. Gavros was taking care of putting away some equipment in the back and was out of earshot if I spoke quietly, “I have a question.”
“Ask.”
“Did you really do it?”
“Do what?” Neither of us were stupid. He knew very well what I meant, so I was very blunt with my next words.
“Have him killed – the merchant.” He didn’t say anything at first and that was already confirmation enough. I turned my head towards him and locked eyes with him.
“He was a problem – I had it taken care of.” He said, shooting up his eyebrows, trying to act unbothered.
“Thank you.” I whispered these words. He looked a little surprise to see me being grateful for his deed and thanking him, face to face but he nodded and looked back to the race. One of the charioteers got into a shipwreck, but it wasn’t Scorpus so neither of us really cared. I had quickly become aware of the nature of Tenax’s business and that threatening or killing someone was part of it, but I didn’t think he would jump on the occasion to deal with the one man who wronged me – no, worse, almost completely broke me. But if Aelius didn’t sneak back in the betting tavern to talk to me, I don’t know how or when I would have found out. I don’t believe Tenax would have told me if I wasn’t the one to bring it up first, or maybe he would have, but much later. “Aelius came to tell me.”
“That fucking sailor—” He spat, through his gritted teeth.
“He wanted me to leave with him. I refused – told him to get out of Rome.”
“Why? I’m sure you’d rather go home.”
“Yes, but– I don’t know. I didn’t give it a second thought, really. I pray everyday that I am reunited with my brothers, but I guess I just didn’t want to go with him. And, he said that I wasn’t safe with you, and that he would keep me safe…" I shook my head. "Ever since I went on that boat, and left Baetica, he has proven that I couldn't be safe with him, while you have proven I was – safe – with you. Thanks to you, I have a roof over my head, food to eat, clothes. Not many slaves in Rome can say that they’re treated this well, and, I must admit, I’m really starting to like it here – all the festivals, the games, the horses – and the kids are sweet.” We both chuckled softly at the thought of those kids.
“They’ve grown fond of you.” This made my smile grow bigger. I had grown quite fond of them as well. They were nice kids. “They kept asking me about you when you were ill.”
“My brother, Fonsoa, and I, we used to take care of our little brother, Elia, after our mother died. I guess I’m good with kids.”
“You are.” He nodded.
“They're fond of you too. They look up to you. I know, you’ve said that it’s because they are kids, and would look up to anyone giving them “food and the occasional coin” but, you care for them. I don’t believe you’re as hard-hearted as you pretend.” He didn’t say anything to that, just shrugging. Maybe it got him a little thoughtful, or he knew but would rather not comment on it. I wished I could read his mind to know what he was thinking in this moment. After a moment of silence – which wasn’t exactly silence with the crowd cheering in the arena — he spoke again. There was only a couple of rounds left at this point.
“I will free you. You can leave, on your own, if you wish – or you can keep working for me, at the betting tavern.”
“I’d like that – to keep working at the tavern.” I added another, softer, thank you and we watched the end of the race without talking. Scorpus came second and we welcomed him in the stall. Gavros and another stable hand detached the horses from the chariot and brought them back to the stables. I watched them with envy, wanting to take care of those horses too, but my arm was far from healed. I had no idea how long it would take – most definitely a long time. But I could wait. Right now, I was just happy that Tenax said he wouldn’t keep me as his slave and that I would be a freedwoman, but he was kind enough – though like I said, he didn’t let any of it show – to let me live in his flat, and I actually liked working for him, so it wasn’t such a hard choice to make. I wanted to go home too, but I was, in truth, terrified of being on my own and I feared what might happen on land or by sea, if I did leave. I might be taken by someone else and sold as a slave again or taken advantage of again. At least, here, with Tenax, I was quite well surrounded and protected. A lot of people always had an eye out for me, and when someone threatened me – it didn’t matter if that threat was a passive one – he dealt with it. I knew that he didn’t take any pleasure in doing that kind of things, but he would do what needed to be done. I knew I could trust him.

New Demigod Cabin: Leucothea
Leucothea, the white goddess of the sea, is one of the rare examples of a mortal who was turned into a god. Originally a woman named Ino, she was a princess of Thebes and the sister of Dionysus' mother Semele. Together with her sisters Agave and Autonoe she raised the infant Dionysus after his mother's death, which earned them Hera's wrath. Hera caused Ino's husband Athamas to be overcome with madness, resulting in him killing their son Learchus and then chasing Ino and their other son Melicertes. Out of desperation she leapt into the sea, but the gods took pity on them and turned them into sea gods.
Ino became Leucothea which translates as "white goddess" while Melicertes became Palaemon. Due to her past life as a mortal, Leucothea is especially sympathetic to sailors and was one of the deities the Greeks prayed to for protection at sea. She appeared to Odysseus during the Odyssey, lending him her veil and instructing him how to trust the waves to take him to the land of the Phaeaceans.
Ino's transformation into a sea goddess makes sense, given her ancestry. Through her father Cadmus she is a great-granddaughter of Poseidon, as well as the river god Nilius (the Nile river) and the Oceanid Nephele. Through her mother Harmonia she is a granddaughter of Aphrodite, who has strong associations with the sea.
As the aunt of the god Dionysus, Ino-Leucothea was one of the first Maenads, and a sisterhood of Maenads at Thebes called the House of Ino traced their descent from her. The Greeks held festivals called Inoa in honor of her, and she and her son were sometimes depicted in temples of Poseidon and Dionysus. The Romans identified her with their goddess Mater Matuta, a fate goddess associated with dawn and the sea. As a goddess who can save the life of sailors the Greeks also associated Leucothea with Tyche (Roman Fortuna) the goddess of fate and luck, and later with foreign deities such as Isis.
Leucothea's cabin is made of the whitest marble and the inside is decorated with lace, seashells, and pearl. Everything inside is white and can never be stained. Leucothea's demigod children are often born with leucism or albinism. They can emit a bright flash of white light to briefly blind opponents and are able to look at bright lights without it hurting their eyes. As children of a sea deity they can also breathe underwater. They always carry sunscreen with them since their skin is especially susceptible to sunburns. When a demigod child of Leucothea is claimed a white seashell appears above them.
Historical Demigods/Legacies: Blanche of Navarre, Claude Louis Berthollet, Kazimir Malevich, Piano Red
Cabin Members: Lacey Bai, Luke and Finn Whitaker, Lucy Shirakawa, Dwight DeWitt Head Counselor: Blanca Cano

I have 4 suggestions for the elements:
1.developing @doritos-green idea, these Miraculous would have the most pure form of the elements, like:
Lila is liar, with rooster(zodiac)she learn to be honest,if she wants fortuna and money she get fish(bagua),if she get a elemental her lie capacility will somehow get a upgrade, either by making she lie a little less to still make her even more believable or manipulation by creating personas for everyone
2.nature protectors, yeah, it's basic but still,if we have the humanity protectors, why not the protectors of what need to be protected from humanity?
3.Sailor Saturn kinda of a thing, when the universe is getting a crisis to the point of a possible end to it,this Miraculous should be actived
4.cardinal directions, idk,i just think it could be cool
2 is probably the one I'd pick. Which, that's actually a really good thought, as if you take care of nature, everything shall continue, and there is prosperity for all. And if you don't care for and respect nature, then everything goes into absolute bedlam and can be devastating to all life.
And I think that would work best off the Creators and their mindset behind creating Miraculous, as at the core, they're here for humanity's over all survival, and can nicely play into the different roles these groups have.
You have the Twelve for personal growth and improvement.
You have the Eight for quality of life improvement, for what is needed or wanted.
You have the Seven that are designed to be THE defenders and protectors of humanity (which technically all do apply, but these 7 can be especially designed for it).
And you have the Five that work off the preservation of nature, which nicely works off the five elements they represent, which would be an extension of the human race's continuation.
And IF I do that there is a 2, they could have a unique role of being keepers of balance, between order and chaos, stability and change. And could have a unique role of managing disputes and disorder, and by set up of their roles, they can join in any of the other numbered groups with whatever they have going on, and be the ones to deal with any infighting as the Seven and Five are semi set up to clash here there (as there are times humanity does challenge and disrupt nature).
Though may be more interesting to skip out on the possibility of mediators and allow Miraculous clashes and see how they unfold and are resolved.
Either way, thank you, that solves a lot and works very well.

I decided to host a little challenge on FSA to make an eyecatch or episode title card in the style of Sailor Moon Crystal for an OC, since I adore them, and I got right into making mine.
I used a reference from Posemaniacs for the pose, since I am not very imaginative for them on my own lol, and to the right you can see the brand new logo I had commissioned for Fortuna (well, her eventual if-I-get-around-to-it fic and website), I think it looks lovely, even if it stands out a bit on this piece.
I'm really pleased with my work here even if it is simple ^^
Logo by iMoonchi
Bonus: while I was waiting for the logo (which I knew was being finished that day) I was too impatient not to post it so I made this version.

All Aboard the T3 Express!
Lately, I've been thinking of my Japanese audience for Toon Time Theater. Usually I treat it as a late-night anime option for the Japanese viewers out there, but I decided to give them an easier chance to check out my anime live streams just in case select viewers are unavailable due to strict curfews. I'm happy Toonami Rewind will give American people a piece of the Toonami pie at a more reasonable time, and the same can be said for my attempt to live-stream a Saturday morning cartoon block for the Japanese people. As a result, I am going to commit myself to live-stream on (American and Canadian) Friday afternoons for a few select cartoons for 3 hours, counting educational and informational (E/I) programming. SAILOR MOON (1992) will be one of the few chosen E/I programs, and joining T3 Express are NARUTO (2002) and TeamFourStar's DRAGON BALL Z ABRIDGED. T3 Express will be mainly a dumping ground for U-PICK Nominees, reruns of earlier episodes for select series, and programs that wouldn't "fit" in my Saturday morning animation cram sessions due to insufficient timeslots. I will still use the 5-hour length for American and Canadian Saturday morning blocks as intended.
Here are the lineups for T3 Express starting on May 31 at 2 PM PDT. However, you don't have to take my word for it.
310524
E/I: Educational & Informational
2:00P - Bartender (Episode 1, Series Premiere, E/I)
2:30P - SAILOR MOON ("A Moon Star Is Born", Series Premiere, E/I)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Troubles
3:00P - SAILOR MOON ("The House of Fortuna")
3:30P - NARUTO (2002 series, Episode 1)
U-PICK Nominees
4:00P - Hell's Paradise (Episode 1, Series Premiere)
4:30P - SMILING FRIENDS (Episode 1, rerun)
4:45P - DRAGON BALL Z ABRIDGED (Episode 1)
070624
E/I: Educational & Informational
2:00P - Bartender (Episode 2, E/I)
2:30P - SAILOR MOON ("Talk Radio", E/I)
COMIC PARTY
3:00P - MY ADVENTURES WITH SUPERMAN (Season 2, Episode 11, Season Premiere)
3:30P - NARUTO (2002 series, Episode 2)
U-PICK Nominees
4:00P - Hell's Paradise (Episode 2)
4:30P - SMILING FRIENDS (Season 1, Episode 2)
4:45P - DRAGON BALL Z ABRIDGED (Episode 2)
In case you were wondering, I will still have the Saturday morning animation cram session for American and Canadian viewers, with more up-to-date cartoons. T3 Express is just an afterthought for Japanese viewers that want to experience a Saturday morning cartoon block, which is usually an American tradition.

Trivia :
Premiere : 06/30/1952
Re-release : 02/04/1978
Premiere : 12/24/1995 (TV dubbing)
There are two Brazilian Portuguese dubbings of this film. The first from 1951 and the second from 1995.
The first dubbing is the official dubbing and is available on all home video releases.
The recording of the 1951 dub only took 4 months. Gilberto Souto (the director, translator, and supervisor) arrived in Brazil on 04/21/1951 and returned to the USA on 08/02/1951.
On the 2000 U.K. DVD release, the Brazilian Portuguese 1951 credits are included but there are errors. Mattinhos is credited as "Estevam Correa Mattos" (which is his real name) as the White Rabbit. The Cheshire Cat was credited to José Vasconcellos, but in reality, he was voiced by Jorge Goulart. Goulart sued Disney in 1996 for royalties of his voice being used on the home video releases of Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland. The King of Hearts is credited to João Dias Lopes, which is the real name of Germano. José Vasconcellos is also credited to the Mother Oyster, but in reality, she was voiced by Apollo Corrêa.
The second dubbing was done for the SBT television network for Christmas 1995 and was only shown on TV. This dubbing is not included on any home media release.
In the second dubbing, only one song was dubbed. That song being "I'm Late." This extract was treated as spoken dialogue and was dubbed. All of the other songs were in English with Brazilian Portuguese subtitles.
