Magic Knight Squad Robe Redesigns

A long time ago, I had the idea of redesigning the uniforms of the Magic Knight squads for the (many) next gen ocs that me and my friends have. I thought it would be fun for the squads to each have a unique article of clothing for the squads' uniforms, to make each group a little more unique beyond their colors.

With the help of my beloved friend Steph ( @cringeyvanillamilk ), that idea has now come to fruition! I commissioned her for all the art you are to see.

And modeling the redesigned uniforms are mine and my friends' next gen ocs.

Representing the Golden Dawn is @lyranova's oc, Alistar Vangeance.

For the Black Bulls is @eme-eleff's oc, Hikari Yami.

Wearing the Crimson Lion King's uniform is @thoughtfullyrainynightmare's oc, Leonidas Vermillion.

Further notes about the uniforms below the cut.

Golden Dawn: they wear full body coats that are meant to be worn open. Squad members can have tassels added to their coats so they can be tied close if they so choose.

Black Bulls: they're not wearing leather jackets. It's standard fabric, that's all. Jacket length is somewhat adjustable though longer jackets are avoided to steer clear of having the same silhouette as the Golden Dawn.

Crimson Lion Kings: the sashes are sewn so that squad members don't have to wrap the fabric over their shoulder and around their waist every time they don their uniform.

Blue Rose Knights: it's a short cape already attached to a shirt. You'd just put it on like a regular shirt and hope that you don't get the cape in your face as you put it on.

Aqua Deer: it's a scarf, plain and simple. The ends of the scarf are to be a clean cut.

Silver Eagles: this squad retains the original form that a majority of the squad robes have in canon, a short mantle with an long cape attached. For the next gen's version, the fluff of the mantle was made a smaller component so that the feathers can be the main focus, instead of being mostly equal parts fluff and feather.

Coral Peacocks: a waist sash with the end of the fabric being shaped to resemble the tail feathers of a peacock.

Green Praying Mantises: arm sleeves that can just cover the forearms or cover the upper arms too. There's also a version with a slit in the sleeves in case there are squad members who don't want to wear the form fitting sleeves.

Purple Orcas: a vest with pointed hems reminiscent of the triangular shape of the squad robe worn by the previous generation. There are buttons on the vest so they can be worn open or closed to a squad member's preferences. (And most members tend to wear a shirt under the vest. Zoisite only wears his uniform this way because he can.)

The Canty-Faust Family Tree

Here we see the scope of Nacht and Josele's family tree.

Rather than just link to the posts I made about them, I briefly summarize the children here.

Sterling (not her birth name) is the eldest child. She was adopted some time after Nacht and Josele's wedding, during the 15 month time skip.

Sterling has two magic attributes thanks to a magical circlet implanted in her head (making her similar to Mars).

Dawn (middle name Aurelia) is the second oldest but firstborn child to Nacht and Josele. She's a spirited girl who never backs down from a challenge.

She has Light Magic (like her uncle) which manifests as silver light (which I also headcanon for Morgen's magic). She's got a lot of raw power but struggles with control.

Dusk (middle name Argentio) is the third oldest and Dawn's younger twin. He's far more reserved and does terribly in social situations.

He has Shadow Magic like Nacht. He's got talent for Creation Magic and works hard to hone that ability.

In Dusk's youth, he was very close to Nacht. However, around the time he was six, something happened and caused him to start avoiding his father.

Sirius is the fourth of the children. He's soft spoken and easy going most of the time but a force to be reckoned with if pushed.

Sirius has Dream Magic which greatly surprised his parents. He uses his attribute to gain a greater understanding of other people through their thoughts and dreams.

Merel is Josele and Nacht's fifth child and Sirius's younger twin. While afraid of a lot of things, she still finds the strength to be an optimist about everything.

(Fun fact, while Sirius was born on December 31st, Merel was born after midnight on January 1st.)

Her attribute is Nightmare, the dark counterpart to Dream Magic. She's afraid of her magic for a while but learns to come into it and use it to fight.

The youngest child is Vivian and the only child born to Nacht and Josele not as a twin. Quiet and robotic at first glance, she can get fired up in the right situation.

She inherits Emotion Magic from Josele. However, due to the nature of Emotion Magic, none of Vivian's emotion-to-element conversions match Josele's (example: Josele's magic turns the emotion of courage into Fire Magic while Vivian derives Fire Magic from feelings of embarrassment). The only exception is love turning into Healing Magic.

All the children call Nacht and Josele "Father" and "Mother." This is because Sterling was the first to call them that since she already had a "Daddy" and "Mommy." Though it sounds formal, "Mother" and "Father" are said with a great amount of affection for the parents.

🎳 all nacht and joseles kinds?

Ooooh? A question for all the Nacsele kids? Well then, let me get right into the answer since there's six of them to cover!

🎳 - Do they have hobbies? If yes, what are they?

Sterling: It's partially a hobby and partially a means to empower her magic but Sterling does dabble in tarot card reading. When she's actively using magic, the cards act as a focus (kind of like Noelle's wand) to make her past and future visions more accurate. She'll do readings for her friends and always reminds them not to take the readings too seriously when she does it without magic. She has a total of four card sets with different themes. One is themed around flowers, another has a seasonal aesthetic, her third is based on Cloverian fairy tales, and her last deck has art based on her family and friends.

Dawn: Dawn doesn't really dedicate herself to any singular hobby. She does do plenty of parkour and swordsmanship but that's more training as a warrior than a hobby. She's dabbled in a variety of sports, arts, and other recreational activities but never really stuck to anything besides her athletic training. She just wants to try everything to the best of her abilities.

Dusk: Dusk is a fan of table top role-playing games. He got into it thanks in part to Josele and Finral giving him a beginner's guidebook and encouraging him to image the kind of person he wants to be through the character creation. He likes creating worlds and the escapist fantasy of being someone else appeals to him since his self-perception is poor. He's good as both a player and game master but prefers building a campaign for his friends to play through. He also dabbles in creative writing so he has stories to his campaigns outside of what his players encounter.

Sirius: Calligraphy. Sirius used to have atrocious handwriting as a child and Nacht suggested that learning formal calligraphy would help him in that area. And... well his day-to-day handwriting is still clumsy at best but at least it's not chicken scratch anymore. He uses calligraphy when writing to his friends, as he believes all the nice things he has to say about them should be nice to look at too.

Merel: One hobby of Merel's is braiding. Yarn, leather, her siblings' hair, whatever material she's given, she will turn it into a plait. She finds it very relaxing and can enter a state of mediation, so to speak. Sirius and Dusk have some leather belts that Merel braided together herself (though she did need to go to a professional to get the proper fixings to make them into actual belts and not merely lengths of braided leather). She later finds a romantic partner and they wear matching leather bracelets that Merel made.

Vivian: Vivian does plant pressing as a hobby. Collecting leaves and flowers and whatever else she can neatly flatten and store within the pages of a book. She's does wilderness walks and then comes back with plants to press. Her hobby first started because of her admiration of folks like William and Charlotte. Later on, she would share her collection with the boy she likes, as he has a bad habit of holing himself up indoors.

Getting Father's Attention

Summary: Nacht gets a day off and some unusual time with his daughter, Merel. Genre: fluff Word count: ~650

A day off.

In the past, when he worked as a Magic Knight, such a thing was quite rare. In the present, where he worked as an administrator in King Fuegoleon’s personal council, vacation days were still a rarity, though a little more common since Nacht no longer had to deal with the daily chaos of the Black Bulls.

Nacht’s plan for that particular day off was getting absorbed in a book. It came recommended by Nozel. It was a tale about a prince learning to re-evaluate his position and stance on tradition while deciding which young lords of his generation to make his court of advisors.

With a pot of coffee and plate of plain biscuits set out for him on a side table and a full couch to lounge on as he read, Nacht was ready to lose himself in another world.

[It is often said—]

“Father!” Merel’s chipper voice rang out. Nacht glanced up just in time to see Merel bounding over to his couch. “I forgot to tell you ‘good morning’ at breakfast. So good morning!” She leaned across the side of the couch and pecked Nacht on the head.

Ever the affectionate child she was.

“Good morning to you, Merel.” Nacht gave Merel’s head a quick pat. The girl giggled and then skipped out of the study, off to enjoy her own day.

Nacht continued to read the novel. He’d only gotten a couple pages into the story and met a couple new characters when he noticed a figure in his periphery. Turning his head, Nacht found that Merel returned.

“M-Mother left for work already… And I…” Merel looked to be on the verge of tears. “Help me tie my hair, please?” She held up a comb and her favorite hair ribbons.

Nacht did his best to properly style Merel’s hair while also reading the novel on the side. It was made harder by Merel talking about how Mereoleona invited her on a hiking excursion and Nacht gave short grunts and hums to reply to her rambling. Merel’s pigtails came out loose and the ribbons were lopsided compared to how Josele did them, but Merel still beamed and gave Nacht another kiss on the head as thanks before bouncing away.

And so Nacht’s reading session continued. He got more time with the book, finishing the first chapter, before Merel once again came into the room.

“What is it this time, Merry?”

“Um, I can’t find my schoolbag…” Merel poked the tips of her pointed fingers together as she whispered. “Can I borrow one of the devils to help me look?”

“Certainly. You know they’d be more than happy to help,” answered Nacht. With only a thought, Walgner’s tiny form appeared. He picked that devil in particular since he seemed to have a fondness for Merel. “Now run along you two and find that schoolbag.”

“Thanks Father!” Merel shouted as she and Walgner left.

Not a page later, Merel was back.

“Found it! It was on the hook in my closet. Tee hee! I can’t believe I lost it after putting it where it’s supposed to go!”

Again and again, Merel returned to the study…

“Father, you should know that the gardener arrived to do his usual clean up!”

And made Nacht paused in his reading.

“My hair came undone again… Sorry…”

He wasn’t mad at all the interruptions.

“Clover wrote back to me, Father! I can’t read their penmanship though…”

It was amusing, if also a bit puzzling, to see Merel so needy out of the blue.

“Father, how do you spell ‘auxiliary’?”

By the time lunch rolled around, Nacht hadn’t even finished the fourth chapter. And there were nearly thirty in the book. Perhaps he’d need to set a reading schedule to slowly work his way through the story, rather than hope to binge it all that day…

11) Does your OC enjoy a cuddle?

Sterling: Yeah, she likes them well enough. Physical affection, like cuddling, isn't something she's huge on but doesn't turn it down when it's offered/asked for. It's when she's tired that she wants to cuddle with someone the most.

Dawn: She's a take it or leave it kind of person. She doesn't seek out cuddling with others but if someone wants to cuddle with her, she won't turn them away. Especially if it's Caelum! Her boyfriend gets priority when it comes to cuddles.

Dusk: This anxious boy would like to cuddle but he struggles to ask for it. And even when other people initiate, he worries about being too uncomfortable to cuddle with, that he's bony or his skin is too cold (which is ridiculous when Merel is his sister). He prefers holding his cuddling partner rather than being the one that's held.

Sirius: He likes cuddling but kinda loosely. He doesn't really hold his partner or get held. The way Sirius likes to cuddle is to be seated next to each other and leaning on one another. Only with his girlfriend does Sirius get a little more touchy and decides to hold her.

Merel: Yes! Merel is a big cuddler! Unfortunately, because she's so cold to the touch, very few people are inclined to cuddle with her. Sirius, Walgner, and her future partner are some of the few people who cuddle with her most frequently.

Vivian: No. Well, maybe. It really depends who it is. If it's her family, her closest friends, or her romantic partner, she will allow it. But she doesn't cuddle with casual friends. And cuddling with strangers, even if it's the dead of winter and she's desperate for warmth, she wouldn't allow them to touch her.

26) Is your OC the one who receives the jacket or gives the jacket in their relationship?

Sterling: Since she never gets into any kind of relationship, Sterling doesn't really think of giving or receiving a jacket in that way. But when it comes to her siblings, she will always lovingly lend her jacket to them if they're feeling chilly.

Dawn: She would really want to receive a jacket from her boyfriend. Her body runs hot and always on the move, so her body doesn't need help keeping warm most of the time. But the meaning behind borrowing her lover's jacket makes Dawn's heart flutter and she wants that.

Dusk: He's the type to run cold but he'll always offer his jacket to his girlfriend. Dusk is used to being protected and doted upon. So when he's old enough for a relationship, he wants to be the type of partner who provides and dotes upon the woman he likes. He knows it feels good to be cared for and his parents tell him it'll feel good to do the caring, so he is a jacket giver.

Sirius: Oh absolutely the one to give his jacket. He might always have some kind of outer layer of clothing to offer to his girlfriend. And since he becomes a towering figure growing up, his clothes fit very loosely on his girlfriend (despite her not being all that small either).

Merel: Merel is the giving type. She's a nice person and likes looking out for her partner. But as part of being ice cold to the touch, she also doesn't feel the cold so she wouldn't need a jacket most of the time. She only really wears a jacket for aesthetic rather than getting warmth from it.

Vivian: Vivi is a jacket receiver, most definitely. She runs cold and hates feeling cold. Plus, she's on the small side so it'd be difficult for her jacket to work for whoever she gave it to. And though she's a borrower, she doesn't like holding onto a borrowed jacket (or anything else for that matter). She returns the jacket as soon as possible, even if it means tossing the jacket to its rightful owner right before she parts ways to walk home in the rain.

Dusk Faust

💢 - Who have they never forgiven and never will?

Yoshisumi Kogane (another oc of mine).

He's an emissary from Hino and has unintentionally done each of Dusk's siblings dirty.

First, Yoshisumi dueled Dawn very soon after he arrived in Clover. It was mostly a spar for Hino and Clover to display the strength of their top tier combatants. However, Yoshisumi was far superior in the fight which caused Dawn to be discouraged for a time. While unintentional, Yoshisumi caused Dawn's lack of confidence and began Dusk's grudge against him.

Later on, Yoshisumi met Sterling and was instantly attracted to her. So of course he attempted to court her. Sterling was made deeply uncomfortable by his advances, earning Dusk's ire in another way.

Yoshisumi became acquainted with Sirius through another visitor from Hino, Kohaku. While Kohaku likes Sirius's usual pacifistic nature and mild manners, Yoshisumi believes Sirius to be weak-willed and destined to be used/trampled upon by stronger individuals. Another strike against Yoshisumi.

For Vivian, Yoshisumi did what most people do when they meet her: call her creepy and lifeless. It's not much but it's another nail in his coffin.

Finally, and probably the worst sin of all, Yoshisumi heard about Merel's Nightmare Magic and began thinking of it as a pragmatic tool for torturing information out of people. Even if they don't break and confess directly, the contents of their nightmares could be gleaned for information. Merel was horrified by the implication and was in hysterics about it.

After so many incidents, Dusk has sworn off forgiving Yoshisumi for what he's done.

📿 - What superstition or ritual do they cling to?

Dusk believes that his reflection is it's own entity and that if he looks his reflection in the eyes too long, his soul will switch places with his reflections and he'll be forced to live in some warped mirror world. So he avoids looking at his own reflection for prolonged periods of time. No more than 10 seconds in one go. It makes getting ready for a date takes a while but to save his soul...

Also Gauche takes no responsibility for Dusk gaining that paranoia.

🐾 - Do animals like them instinctively?

Dusk is like a classical Disney princess with animals, if he's brave enough to approach them, they tend to take to him quite well. He's a gentle and soft-spoken young man. He's also wise enough to act in ways that would indicate to wildlife that he's not a threat: moving slow, letting them approach him, showing vulnerability. Nothing about him could scare away animals.

Except maybe for the occasional devilish aura he gives off when using magic... But otherwise, he and animals get along great!

Josele Canty

🍻 - What kind of drunk are they?

When Josele is very drunk, not just one or two drinks but a whole night of downing alcohol, she's more shy. She gets self-conscious and easily embarrassed when she's drunk. Not to the level of Grey but it would be noticeable in Josele. She's red in the face from alcohol and embarrassment, she's stuttering her words as much as she's slurring them, and she can barely bring herself to even hold hands with others when she's sloppy drunk.

It's possibly her body knowing she's making herself vulnerable with the alcohol and thus preparing her to be as aware as she can be. And, for whatever reason, it ends up with her being on the jittery side until she sobers up.

Josele Canty

The devaluing of life.

Josele has lost a lot in her life. Her parents. Her first love, her own magic for a time. And while her Emotion Magic was out of commission, she ended up relying on a magic that stole life from the world around her.

So Josele finds it hard to contain herself when she catches someone dismissing others and the lives they lead. Whether it be by taking lives, treating someone as lesser, or simply not enjoying the little things, Josele struggles to bite her tongue and not tell off a person for being so callous with something as precious as a life.

Sirius Faust

Straight up? The very thought of the primary school he originally attended.

He was shunned and bullied by his classmates there. Teachers refused to address the bullying claims, either thinking he was exaggerating or fearing retaliation from parents (without fearing what Sirius's own parents were capable of...). Sirius endured the treatment for a year before breaking down to Josele and Nacht about it. He (along with Merel and Vivian) was pulled from that school and tutored privately by Zora (as I imagine him becoming some kind of traveling/intermittent teacher in the future). That only lasted a few months before Nacht and Josele found another school for him (and his sisters).

Sirius hates his old school with a burning passion. He refuses to call the establishment by name and makes an effort to dig up all bad incidents about the school and make sure they becomes widely known.

Sterling Faust

Status Obsession.

Born a peasant and adopted into a disgraced noble family, Sterling grew up always being looked down upon. Thus, Sterling has grown to resent those who put a lot of stake in titles and societal positions. She's quick to grow cold to anyone who shows that they value status and is easily irritated by anyone who devalues her or her loved ones simply for not being "elite." It goes the other way too. She hates when people look down on themselves and give up just because they rank low in society. Sterling won't hang with people who practically worship the royal families just because they're royalty because it disrespects the hard work that people like Noelle and Mereoleona do regardless of titles.

Rank, status, titles; all of that doesn't mean much to Sterling in comparison to individual action. She wants to be around people who strive to live rather than people who go through the motions because they were born in a certain social ring.

7) What are your favourite relationships between your OCs? (romantic or platonic!)

For platonic...

I don't give them much attention but Helia and Selen's sibling bond always makes me soft. They're much more functional than most siblings in Black Clover but they still stumble in places.

Another platonic dynamic I love is the Faust next gens. Whether it be Merel being the cheerleader for all her sibling, Varg always taking the piss outta Albert, or Vivian being the baby of the family that doesn't want to be babied, I always have fun thoughts about how the future Fausts get along.

For romantic...

Caelum x Dawn/StarLight is just... They're so stupid for each other! Dawn has been swooning over Cal basically since they were in diapers and she's so obvious about her affection but Caelum is still blind to it because "Dawn is affectionate with lots of people. I'm not special." And also he's always afraid of being like his old man and so is very averse to showing affection which upsets Dawn. AAAAAHHHH! They're so messy!

I also have Aecor (Nozel and Helia's son) x Neave (Lolopechka and Gadjah's daughter. They flirt with each otehr for a long time before their emotions get the better of them... Plans for a long engagement and detailed wedding planning goes out the window on the demands of their fathers. Whoops.

Nacht Faust

18) How do you think they were as a kid? (Like, were they shy, noisy, wild, etc)

Canonically, Nacht has always been a troublemaker. Maybe not a straight up delinquent but I imagine him walking out of boring tutoring sessions and intentionally showing bad manners in front of guests that pissed him off. He'd use his Shadow Magic as a tripwire or use it to pick pockets. Nacht was likely a precocious smart-mouth too, catching onto subtle social cues and talking smack under the guise of gentlemanly banter. Small and ultimately petty things. He'd only up the ante as he grew older.

19) The most random ship you've seen people have with them

Nacht x Vanessa? It's two pretty people, I guess, but I don't see any chemistry between them, neither friendly (what I imagine for Nacht and Finral) nor antagonistic (Nacht and Zora). I dunno. The most I see happening between them is Nacht not being under the effects of the Red Thread of Fate spell for the longest time because Vanessa just isn't clicking with Nacht so the magic doesn't work on him. RIP.

20) A weird headcanon

Nacht's hair is eerily silky and smooth. Even when he was bleaching it and not putting extra effort into caring for it, it was only once in a blue moon that Nacht got a split end or knot. And bedheads? Non-existent to this man. Even Nacht can't explain why his hair of all things is so pristine.

Ida Faust

1) My first impression of them

Initially, I was intrigued by Ida's profile. As well as confused and concerned. Her connection to the Faust family definitely meant I was immediately invested in how the Faust tragedy would effect her. I thought it was kinda wild that a 5-6 year old kid would run away from home (this was before you explained things in more detail). Reading Ida's profile for the first time was definitely a "oh I need to see where things go with this oc" impression/experience.

And now I'm very glad that I've seen you write and develop Ida. Cause now I really love her as Morgen and Nacht's sister (and Josele's sister-in-law 💖)!

11) What’s the first thing you think about when thinking about the character?

A fun, chaotic oc~! One of my favorite ocs for BC (not including my own, obviously).

Erika's Next Generation OCs

So I've been having brainrot about next gen ocs. This is partially thanks to @lyranova's Children of the Future series. But also I like to imagine the BC characters having a happy and stable future where building families is possible.

I've shared about the future Nacht x Josele and Nozel x Helia children before but i've got more to share.

I haven't been thinking about the next gen for too long so details are sparse but I hope to build upon the foundations as time goes on. (Maybe if my school work lightens up...)

The Future Faust Family

In a past Nacsele post, I hinted at a part of Nacht and Josele's future, namely their children.

Nacht and Josele have a nice big family composed of them, the Bremen devils, and then five children.

And I shall introduce you to Nacht and Josele's biological children: Dawn, Dusk, Sirius, Merel, and Vivian.

Dawn Faust

Her middle name is Aurelia which means “golden.” Her nickname, mostly used by Nacht, is "Sparkle."

Age: 18 (elder between Dusk and herself)

Birthday: May 30

Magic Attribute: Light. Strangely, instead of a golden glow like sunlight, Dawn's light shines a silvery-white, like moonlight.

Appearance: Brown hair like Josele, blue eyes like Nacht. Dawn grows out her hair and wears it in the same ponytail style as her father's. She's often wearing a smile but her gentle appearance is offset by sharp, naturally glaring eyes.

Personality: Dawn is a diligent, courageous, and spirited child. She acts before she thinks more often than not, letting her heart guide her decisions in life. She loves people in a very general sense, similar to her mother, seeing the inherent value in each human live but doesn't really care for the opinions of others (outside of her immediate family and friends). She wants to live up to the example of Morgen because of their shared magic, even though she's never met him. As such, she's always eager to help others but admits to knowing that she can't help everyone. This is especially true for her since while she's physically capable, she has trouble aiding others on an emotional level. Dawn is incredibly protective towards her siblings and friends and hates seeing them insulted. Though she's not above some light teasing. She's stubborn, wanting to see whatever she does to the very end and adamantly sticking to her beliefs. Dense as rocks in some things, especially romance. As hard as she works, she knows how to have just as much fun. She has trouble showing vulnerability since she wants to be strong for the sake of those around her.

Something peculiar about Dawn is that she doesn't bleed when she's cut. She can play off paper cuts and light scrapes but she was once punctured in the torso by a spell and didn't bleed out even when the magic weapon faded into mana.

Dawn bonds with Gimodelo as a child. She is the oldest child and Gimodelo is the, seeming, leader of the Bremen devils. They are friendly and playful individuals too.

Dawn's best friend in the world is Caelum Roulacase, they've been together since they were babies honestly. Though they can't see each other often, Dawn is very close with her cousin Harmonia. She's also friendly with Patry's eldest Avery. She admires Morgen, Noelle, Charlotte, and Mereoleona.

Dawn ends up joining the Blue Rose Knights.

Dawn has a preference for sour foods like Josele does.

Dusk Faust

Dusk’s middle name is Argentio which is derived from “argentum” meaning “silver.” His nickname, mostly used by Josele, is "Little Shadow."

Age: 18 (younger between Dawn and himself)

Birthday: May 30

Magic Attribute: Shadow. Dusk is talented at making constructs with his magic.

Appearance: Black hair and blue eyes like Nacht. Dusk also grows out his hair but wears it in a low braid. He's almost the spitting image of his father except his features are softer and his default expression is a faint smile. Because of that, he looks a little more like Morgen.

Personality: Dusk is a quiet, lonely person. He comes off as aloof or cold to most people but the truth is that he's terribly anxious and shy individual. He struggles with an inferiority complex, having a pitifully low opinion of himself and comparing himself to his siblings and his peers. Because of his own low self-esteem and having grown up hearing people speak ill of his family, Dusk constantly worries about others' opinions of him and fears being hated by those around him. He has trouble being around a large crowds or people he is unfamiliar with so it he finds himself in a crowd of total strangers, he will likely panic. The times when Dusk is the loudest is when he's having a breakdown. Despite his anxieties, Dusk is someone determined to grow and try his best. Can easily get lost in his thoughts since he's so often alone, usually his own doing. He tries his best to be unnoticed, not causing trouble but not doing anything outstanding. Dusk is kind-hearted and selfless, always wanting to put others before himself, and prefers helping people from the shadows to avoid getting attention for his deeds.

Something peculiar about Dusk is that his eyes don't appear to reflect any light. Even when his own twin's magic is use in front of him, none of it reaches Dusk's eyes. Most peculiar of all is that his eyesight is near perfect. The glasses that Dusk wears aren't for his eyesight; he actually wears them hoping they make it hard to see his lightless eyes. He eventually gets a magic pair of glasses that create the illusion of there being light in his eyes.

The Bremen devil that Dusk bonds with as a child is Plumede. Dusk is quiet and reclusive, much like a cat. It's hard to tell what he's thinking but when you get to know him, you see his subtle signs of affection, again like a cat.

Dusk's favorite person is Josele. Outside of the family, he's close to Saki and Silver, having bonded over all of them being introverted. Some adults he's close with are Gauche, Grey, and Nero. He admires Morgen and Fuegoleon.

For his future, I see him being a Magic Knight in the Crimson Lion Kings and posing as a wandering mage to conduct unofficial business. He also does jobs for civilians on commission.

A strong sweet tooth just like his father and uncle.

Sirius Faust

His name means "glowing" or "scorching." His nickname is "Sir," pronounced as "Seer."

Age: 14

Birthday: December 31

Magic Attribute: Dream. An innate ability from Sirius' magic is the ability to know a person's greatest hope/dream.

Appearance: Brown hair and eyes like Josele. He keeps his hair short and doesn't style it so it tends to look messy/shaggy (in a similar vein as Luck or Gauche's hair). He's got very soft eyes so it's hard for him to look angry or intimidating.

Personality: Sirius is a laid back and friendly boy. His calm demeanor makes him easily approachable for others and he can get along with just about anyone. Even from a young age, he shows a great deal of thoughtfulness towards others and is always willing to lend an ear. He's a detail-oriented person and pays close attention to what he sees and hears. As a result, he picks up on people's habits and tics. Since he's so thoughtful, Sirius has a habit of overthinking things, especially when he's trying to help others. Thankfully, his thoughts don't usually result in anxiety but rather tangents of thought. Sirius might try to be energetic like Dawn or Merel but he can't ever keep up with his sister's energy. He lacks some confidence in his abilities but even when he's unsure, he's typically willing to give things a try. While he doesn't seek praise, he becomes rather giddy when he's recognized for his efforts.

Something peculiar about Sirius is that he has been growing white hairs since birth. As a little kid, it was sparse enough that his normal hair covered more of it but it only becomes more prominent the older he grows.

Sirius' friend among the Bremen devils is Slotos. Slotos seems to be quiet and laid back. Despite his magic attribute, Sirius is a grounded person which Slotos' sturdy armor ability would reflect.

Outside of the family, Sirius is close with the Adlai children and Kohaku. He admires Dorothy and practices his magic with her.

I don't see Sirius becoming a Magic Knights but instead becoming a therapist and using his Dream Magic to give patients a means to explore their own minds.

Sirius surprisingly likes bitter foods, especially black coffee.

Merel Faust

Her name means "black bird" and her nickname is "Merry."

Age: 14

Birthday: January 1. Sirius jokes that he's a "year" older than Merel.

Magic Attribute: Nightmare. One of her innate abilities thanks to her magic is always knowing a person's greatest fear/nightmare.

Appearance: The middle ground of her parents' appearances with dark brown hair and green eyes. She gets her hair styled in low, unbraided pigtails. When she's older, she bleaches parts of her hair to match Sirius. Like her brothers, Merel has gentle eyes. She can either be seen smiling or frowning because of something scary.

Personality: Merel is a very bubbly, upbeat, and outgoing child. She loves being around other people and wants to make lots of friends in life. Making people happy makes Merel happy. She's one of the most forgiving people around. She does her best to keep looking on the bright side of things. Merel is so stubborn about optimism that sometimes, she'll flat out ignore the bad things around her to keep her hopes up until she can no longer avoid negativity. Very affectionate, verbally and physically, especially with her family and lovingly clings to them. Another reason Merel clings to other is because she gets scared and stressed easily, so she seeks safety with her loved ones. Her fears are made worse by her magic. She dislikes her Nightmare Magic, with how dark and ominous it is. When she gets in a bad mood, which doesn't happen often, it tends to stick around for a while.

Something peculiar about Merel is that she is icy cold to the touch. Nothing seems to make her body warm up though. However, she's never complained about being cold.

Merel bonds with Walgner during childhood. Walgner's ability is voice-based and Merel is a bit of a crybaby, so she cries out a lot. Not only that, but Merel's name connects them.

Outside of the family, Merel is close with Nero, Asta, Mereoleona. Her very best friends are Leoray, Clara, Clover, and Amarielle. She admires Rill, Mimosa, and Noelle.

In the future, Merel becomes a Magic Knight in the Aqua Deer squad.

She bleaches a part of her hair to match Sirius when she gets older.

Merel likes spicy foods and the family jokes that it's the cause of her nightmares.

Vivian Faust

Her name means "alive" and her nickname is Vivi.

Age: 12

Birthday: March 21

Magic Attribute: Emotion

Appearance: Black hair like Nacht, brown eyes like Josele. When she's old enough and her hair is long enough, her preferred hairstyle is a braid worn over her shoulder. Like Dawn, she has naturally glaring eyes and she has a blank, neutral expression as her default.

Personality: Vivian appears to be dour and boring due to her usual blank expression. However, her emotions are actually quite strong, she simply doesn't emote very well, small smiles and frowns are typical with her. As calm and quiet as she is, that doesn't stop her from being emotionally driven. Her feelings tend to show in her actions as she acts/speaks on impulse when worked up, even if it doesn't show. Though (secretly) emotional, she's still a put together and intelligent girl. In day-to-day life, she observes more than she acts. She tends to speak with excessive formality and unnecessarily large words, and no one really knows why. Vivian is incredibly kindhearted like the rest of her family, and she tends to gravitate to people in order to help them. Another thing about her is her curiosity and awe with the world; she loves to explore. She doesn't care to learn the minute details and intricacies of things though, simply values an experience or encounter at its base level. Despite being the youngest, she actually doesn't like being doted upon and strives for independence.

Something peculiar about Vivian is that she doesn't seem to breath or have a heartbeat. It's been confirmed that her heartbeat is there and quite strong, but for whatever reason it's undetectable without the use of magic.

Vivian doesn't bond with any of the Bremen devils but regular wild animals are very drawn to her. No one really knows what it is, but Vivian is very in tune with nature and animals in specific.

Outside of the family, Vivian is close with William, Finral, Finesse, and Charlotte. Despite being a few years apart, she's very friendly with Raphael. She has a precocious crush on Alistar but knows nothing will come of it. She admires her parents and siblings.

Vivian doesn't become a Magic Knight in the future. I see her traveling to the Witches' Forest to reconnect with her family's roots. Perhaps there's something in the Witches' Forest that can teach her more about her magic. After mastering it, she'd be a wandering mage, exploring and documenting unusual phenomena. She wants to see the beauty of the world in its rawest forms. Of course she helps the people she crosses paths with and always returns to her family.

Vivian prefers foods that are salty in flavor.
