since everyone was doing their own thing and dancing to their song, ivy does the same thing. it was quite honestly a mini party. all of them were dressed in something quite formal due to having schedules in the morning/afternoon.

she looked gorgeous. everyone single one of the boys had their jaws dropped when she walked into the room wearing that. one person though had their mouths way more wide open than the others.

“jake, close your mouth.” jay says. the boy listens but he’s still mesmerised by ivy.

“noona is so pretty…” jake mumbles. anywhere she went, jake’s eyes would follow her figure.

from what it seems, it’s just ivy and jake walking around the rented home’s mini garden. there, they spotted a cat and ivy gasps.

jake goes to film her as ivy passes the camera to him. she kneels down to the cat and allows it to sniff her. it easily gets comfortable with her and ivy happily pets it.

“jaeyun~ the kitty is so cute.” she says in a pouty voice.

“cute.” he mumbles behind the camera. which obviously was caught in the video bc Ivy wouldn’t have posted it if it wasn’t caught.

#1. “noona, please!”

jake loves asking for permission from ivy and ivy grew to love hearing the boys (who are younger than her) calling her noona. it took a while for her to accept it but she likes being called noona now!

“I want that one. please? can I have a bite?” jake says as he watches ivy biting onto her popsicle.

“say please.”

“noona, please!” jake pouts. Ivy turns to the camera and points to it.

“DID YOU CATCH THAT?? JAKE DOES HAVE AEYGO! ENGENEs YOUR WELCOME!!”

#2. “noona, can I have a hug?”

jake loves hugs from ivy. no particular reason. she’s just the perfect height and size for him to hug. ivy does love giving hugs to all of them though. especially when they need extra energy.

she stands in the middle and everyone lines up. she gives each boy a hug. ni-ki hugs longer as he happily enjoys being in her arms.

“yah! it’s my turn.” jake huffs.

“no.” ni-ki says as his voice was a little muffled being in ivy’s arms. ivy pats the younger boy’s back.

“riki, it’s jake time. I’ll come to your room later to cuddle with you more okay? you big baby.” ni-ki grumbles before peeling himself off ivy. he walks away to tackle jungwon instead. clearly not done being clingy.

jake finally smiles, “noona, can I have a hug?”

“yes, you can.” she holds out her arms. jake happily jumps in her arms. his arms finding home around her waist and hers finding their way around his neck.

#3. “please, tell me there isn’t a ghost…NOONA I’M SCARED!”

as ivy is a psychic medium. she can see and feel ghosts. the boys don’t necessarily like whenever ivy mentions there is a ghost so she usually doesn’t say it.

but if something is off, ivy will definitely voice out.

“not to alarm any of you but excuse me while I just do this for a bit.” ivy stands up from her seat and starts moving towards the corner of the room.

“oh lord. she’s at it again.” jay sighs.

“the demon is back.” sunoo adds.

“please tell me there isn’t a ghost…” jake says as he watches ivy getting closer to the corner. the three of them watched her point in the top corner. she scolds whatever that is in that corner and tells them to leave immediately.

“okay, this guy is stubborn.”

“what guy. noona? please tell me…”

“just an 8ft shadow dude in the corner. it looks like those spiders but giant and has 2 legs like us.”

“WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT! NOONA I’M SCARED!” jake says.

#4. “LETS GIVE IT UP FOR KIM FUCKING HAEUN!!”

of course. there had to be engenes recording this part. it’s a concert! they had to perform. with them being in America, the managers were more chill. so jake decided to take advantage of that and give some appreciation for ivy.

everyone was hyped up. ivy had a solo performance at the concert that she prepared so the boys wanted to hype the engenes up.

“ENGENEs! are you ready for ivy’s performance?” they yelled. ENGENEs screaming out loud.

“I can’t hear you? ARE YOU READY FOR IVY?” jay instigates. the ENGENEs screamed even louder. the nod their heads in approval.

“THEN LET’S GIVE IT UP FOR KIM FUCKING HAEUN!!” jake yells. it causes ENGENEs to scream even louder as jake cusses just to introduce ivy.

safe to say, ivy was very hyped during her solo performance.

#5. “oh good lord.” *trips on his own foot*

it was comeback as per usual and ivy’s stylist wanted to try something new. her outfit had different cuts and holes to make it more sexier so ivy looked really good.

sunoo interviews her with the camera and was busy filming fun little contents with her. that’s when jake walks in. his eyes fell upon her outfit.

“oh good lord.” he says as he trips on his own foot while staring at ivy. sunoo laughs, zooming into jake.

“jake hyung, are you okay?” sunoo asks in between laughs.

“y-yeah! just tripped somehow.” he says embarrassingly, clearly he was caught off guard.

#6. “would you date haeun noona? yes.” *with no hesitation*

jake was live during one of the America stops and so he decided to read some comments while listening to some music.

many of them were basically asking where the other members were and just asking him to do aeygo. the typical thing. that is until one question caught jake’s eye

“would you date haeun noona? yes.” with not a single hesitation in his voice. he moves on from there it causes a whole ruckus in the fandom and shippers.

#7. “KIM HAEUN! KIM HAEUN!”

jake was always ivy’s biggest fanboy as shown in the past few videos. in this en-o’clock episode where they played sports, it even more obvious.

“whoever gets ivy noona on their team instantly wins.” jungwon says.

with the teams split with the usual decision of rock paper scissors, heeseung falls to his knees.

“no, this is unfair.”

“HAH! WE GOT IVY NOONA.” sunghoon points and laughs at the other team.

“now, what do you mean unfair.” ivy says as she stares right at the two tallest boys. “if anything, I should feel unfair.”

the games start. it felt like a war zone, each of the boys getting more and more competitive. as it was ivy’s turn, she holds up the bow.

“KIM HAEUN! KIM HAEUN!” jake cheers. the editors placed a quick edited pompom and puppy ears on jake as he cheers ivy on.

#8. "10 facts you didn't know about vivi noona, she's not yours."

during this live, there were tons of ENGENEs talking about the fact that ivy looked so good in her new hair. this time, she decided to go all natural and dyed her hair dark brown, similar to jay's colour.

"ivy looks so pretty with brown hair." ivy reads out in english. "aww thank you, i bet you guys are prettier." she gives a small heart to the ENGENEs.

"ivy is so perfect, she's so pretty and she's mine." jake reads.

"aww, yes ENGENEs. i'm yours." she blows kisses. jake snorts and rolls his eyes playfully.

"ENGENEs, i have some facts about noona you didn't know. wanna hear it?"

ivy tilts her head, "tmi today?"

jake hums, "here are 10 facts you didn't know about vivi noona, she's not yours." jake smiles.

"now, jaeyun-"

and yet another live from jake but this time, he was solo. he decided to go live after their concert. despite him being tired, he wanted to make ENGENEs feel loved so he turned on the live.

"where is ivy?" he hums. "i think she's sleeping. she was really tired after the concert. she almost slept with her outside clothes on so there's that."

"hmm? tmi? yeah, that's true."

"oh, you guys saw her outfit today at the concert? yeah, the stylist tried something for her."

he reads through more of the comments, "why is everyone calling vivi noona a mother?"

that is until he had a bright idea in his brain. "i mean, yeah. you're right. she's the mother. the mother to our kids."

#10. "sorry, you can’t have noona. she’s mine.”

at an offline fansign during dark blood era, fans were enjoying ivy’s outfit style and the fact that she got a solo part during the second chorus of ‘Bite Me’. which led to tons of ENGENEs talking about how they would like to marry her.

there were tons asking her one by one the same questions. “are you single?” / “haeunie, can I be your girlfriend/boyfriend?”

so since jake was after ivy, the ENGENEs would continue to talk about her to jake.

“jaeyun-ah, can I marry ivy?”

“mmm, no.”

“why?”

"sorry, you can’t have noona. she’s mine.”

#11. “noona makes me feel safe. she knows when i feel anxious and nervous so she pays great attention to the little things.”

to end of the video, I would like to mention the interview where jake praised ivy. this was during one of their earlier days.

— “what is it like to have ivy on the team?”

jake reads the question. he hums, “noona…she’s just amazing.”

“despite, us thinking we would be just any normal boy group during I-LAND, seeing ivy noona and the many other girl contestants doing their best made me realise that we were all fighting for the same dream.”

“so when noona was announced, I wasn’t surprised. she’s amazing, heeseung hyung level of talent. what surprised me was that she cried a lot, she thought that she wouldn’t debut. she had a lot of doubts because they never announced other girls to debut with her so it was just her and us.”

“she started to feel down. worried that the fans wouldn’t like her but eventually, with a lot of encouragement and the positive comments praising her, she gained more confidence and started showing her true colours.” jake laughs.

“for me, noona makes me feel safe. she knows when i feel anxious and nervous so she pays great attention to the little things.”

“in fact, she knows whenever anyone feels down and tries to lighten the mood. she actually hates whenever it’s too serious when it’s not supposed to be. I remember her complaining about how all of us were too tense during practice and that we need to loosen up. true enough, when we loosened up, we did better.”

🌸 Pile 1 🌸

Hi my Pile 1 babies! 💖 The general energy for you surrounding this upcoming year of 2025 is forward movement through any obstacles. You are moving forward and setting sail after a period of obstacles, or being stuck and stagnant; or moving forward after a long period of planning. You could be getting a new car, or traveling states, moving to a new state, overseas, or just locally. I’m also channeling van-life for some and the YouTuber “Bus off with Josie” or another YouTuber named “Taking A Journey” where her vanlife journey is a little more realistic, she actually goes to work from her van, and there’s one more small YouTuber that I’m channeling and the title was something about the east coast and her vanlife daily vlog, I cannot find the name because she’s so small. So, maybe some of you live on the east coast. So, some of you may be living in your van, or car as a way to get yourself out of an environment that you feel stuck in or out of a continuous loop of not being able to afford the traditional way, or simply bc you want to or choose to. Some of you may also have kids or be single parents. But I definitely see travel, riding a bus, getting a car, learning how to drive for some, or just simply forward movement. Specifically a physical move. Also if some of you aren’t learning how to drive, you may be teaching someone how to. The energy feels like you’re hitting the ground running, maybe even breaking free. Maybe you’ve been planning for a while and have everything you need, or hit a stroke of luck and will be taking off, or taking inspired action and positive momentum forward. Nothing will stop you, and you’ll be making this move aggressively, and with tunnel vision. I don’t see it as a bad thing at all, it’s not coming through as a reckless rebellious thing either. You’ve planned for this, thought about it for a while, saved or whatever have you and this year you’re going for it. Good luck bb, you’ll be just fine. 💖 side note for those of you living in a car or van, don’t romanticize it or delude yourself it will be just like any other living situation where you have to make sure you have protection, make sure to be aware of any hazards, be careful of your surroundings, park in the correct places, be careful of fumes in your car etc. , also don’t delude yourself into thinking it will be all struggle. You will enjoy this, and to you it will be home. I’m also picking up the need to say you being genuinely happy in this situation is not wrong. Allow it. Another thing that I am picking up on is that it’s okay if your car isn’t fancy or big, work with what you have. If you’re in a van and/or small mini van or truck-like car, it’s okay if you can’t afford to build/convert it like the vans you see on YouTube. This is a living situation that’s needed, not something you’re doing for aesthetics. You can do just fine in a “no build van” look up how that looks. I am also picking up for some of you that maybe you want someone to live with you but you’re weary of how you will be perceived bc of this particular situation; the answer is yes. they would love to live with you like this, or come along; they may actually help you build it into what you want over time, or until you guys save for a traditional living situation. this could be a friend, lover, soulmate whoever. If this is a lover that you want to come with you, I’m channeling the van rocking when you two make love; make sure you have window curtains/windshield covers at night or whenever you need privacy. I’m picking up a silver or white minivan or small black car being parked in a campground, or parking lot at night time and it’s rocking a little from sex; if it’s not rocking, the moans will be loud from whoever the woman is in this scenario; she may cry out loudly from something that’s being done to her during sex (in a positive way). Good for y’all! lol. but, anyways, you’ll be fine. keep your head on straight and be sensible, and aware of your surroundings. in this situation carry protection just for safety measures, I’m not seeing anything happening though. 💖

(an extra message i’m getting is some of you in this pile could be in your early thirties, specifically 31-35. starting over and making yourself happy.💖 also for those of you embarking on this journey as a couple or want to, the feminine/girl in the relationship loves to smoke, weed specifically. I’m hearing she may out smoke you. she may cough a lot afterwards as well but it makes no difference. Or you’re the girl, whoever the girl is. Take it how it resonates. Lastly another message I’m getting is you don’t have to save for a traditional living situation if you don’t feel called to, this way will bring you fulfillment and you might not care to change for a while & that’s perfectly fine too!)

🌸 Pile 2 🌸

Hi my pile 2 babies! The general energy surrounding you for this upcoming year of 2025 is there’s an obstacle you will overcome this year, or you will be mustering up the inner strength and will to do what you have to do. Maybe in 2024 you have been battling things left and right and there’s a specific thing that has been difficult for you, 2025 you will overcome that successfully. Some of you may be fighting an illness, or getting through school, or just finally having the energy to clean your room, it could be on a less extreme scale. This will leave you exhausted but you’ll cross over to the finish line. You also may take on more responsibility if it’s not what I just mentioned. Some of you may be “carrying all the weight” . Or some of you may be grabbing yourself by the bootstraps to get every goal you have on your checklist for the year checked off. I’m getting maybe some of you battle with depression so every task you do may feel like you’re doing it with a ton of bricks on your back, every last thing you do may exhaust you as you’re doing it because of your depression; but you’re doing it because it needs to be done and you can’t stay still in the same place. I’m proud of you. I’m channeling the church sermon by Sarah Jake’s titled “Girl get up” . Give that a watch it may be beneficial to you. If some of you are planning a funeral this year or will be going to I’m sorry for your loss 🫶🏾; for some of you it could be specifically a mothers or grandmothers funeral; or someone who you were in the caretaker role for, I am specifically getting a sick parent, could also be a sick father, some of you could be taking an elder or parent off of life support; but this is something that is anticipated, and/or expected because I’m channeling end of life care; again I am so sorry if this is what you’re going through. I’m also getting if some of you are considering majoring in or going to school for social services, social work, or health and human services go for it, it’ll be a lot but it’s worth it. Also, some of you have great bedside manner if you’re in the nursing field, if not you should consider it. But, whatever it is you’re doing or planning the energy is it’ll be all on you and you alone. The good news is you will get it all accomplished like you want to, while exhausted you will be relieved and proud. It’s things that need to happen and get done. The problem is you may just have such low energy during it all. Some of you may need to get a physical, you could be mineral deficient. I’m hearing low iron or a magnesium deficiency. As I was typing this I felt dizzy. Some of you could get dizzy a lot when lying down or standing up. That’s a sign of low iron. I’m not picking up on a serious life threatening illness, just fatigue and low energy from a deficiency or low energy due to mental health concerns. Some of you may also need to see a professional for your depression if you’re suffering from it, there’s no shame in taking meds or talking to someone, especially if you’re grieving on top of that. I love you and you’ll be just fine. Despite it all you’ll be so proud of yourself because it will all get done and you’ll survive it all. Be patient with yourself, you are doing it all with no help. But through it all, everything you need to get done will get done and you’ll only have yourself to thank for that. I’m proud of you. 💖

Hi my pile 3 babies! For 2025, your general energy is surrounded around healing. I’m hearing 2 hands 2 heaven by Beyoncé. “Lovely daggers pierced my heart many moons ago” you’ll be healing from a heartbreak or from a long period of pain, grieving or loss. With the four of swords and Queen of Swords you will reach a point where you’re indifferent to whatever the situation was or is. You won’t feel any type of way about what you were previously really in despair about. You could’ve been hurt, betrayed, suffered a loss, cheated on is what I heard for some. For some of you, your partner may have cheated on you while they were drunk or high or spiraling in some sort of way. For some of you, your partner cheated and had a baby on you. You’ll be healing from that and recovering. I’m hearing you will finally feel the way you’ve been wanting to feel about a situation, which is to be over it or completely detached. I’m channeling some of you could have prayed over and over about this and cried while praying to release you from the pain, or begging God to bring you to a point where you don’t care as much anymore, or where it eases up and you’re detached or indifferent to it. You’ll receive exactly what you asked for in that regards this year. For a small few of you, you may have been praying this hard because you are still with the person that hurt you or will be in the future, and they apologized, taken accountability and changed but you’ve had a hard time truly releasing it; which is understandable healing takes time and I hope they were patient with you. For others of you, you’re desperately wanting to get over it so you can just move on and leave this situation or pain behind for good, forever. The good news is that, this is the year you will finally be over it. I am getting a message that head is half of the reason, your person may have been eating/s*cking your soul out to make you feel better; or bending over backwards to show you they’re sorry and have changed. It’s working this year. You’ve been a tough cookie to crack, as you should be. You may also get better in regard to your mental health, your depression or anxiety, or trust issues for some will get significantly better. Your thoughts may be lighter or your literal head may feel lighter because of the peace. I’m getting magnesium spray or tablets, some of you may be getting great sleep this year, for some it may be the best sleep of your life. I’m picking up a lot of weed lol. If you’re taking mental health meds or supplements, or for some herbal teas, or medicinal weed, as well as herbal blunts; they’ll work wonders. You will love the results you’ll get from them. You may find the perfect recipe/formula/routine for your mental health as far as med combos or schedule or what have you. It will work for you, and you’ll stick to it. Your head will feel much lighter, for some your head and around your eyes have been feeling literally baggy or heavy due to depression or fatigue, or any other draining mental health symptoms. If you feel sluggish in your body it could have all stemmed from your mental health. Some of you will start working out and strengthen the mobility in your legs. Some of you may be moving past your executive dysfunction and declutterring as well, some of you may organize a lot of things this year and actually really enjoy cleaning. Some of you may start a cleaning business or get hired for a housekeeping job. I’m seeing someone work a register as well. Hotels could be significant or hotel front desk. All in all, healing and feeling better is your theme for 2025. The color blue, baby blue, pastel purple, white, grey or quartz may be significant. A white car may be significant, I’m seeing some of you smoke in it before a work shift, that or a silver mini van. I’m getting cleaning business heavy. Temperance energy as well in this pile. You may drink a lot of water this year, or switch diets to a more pescatarian or vegetarian lifestyle. Good job, and I’m happy for you my pile 3 babies. 💖

Hi my pile 4 babies! This upcoming year of 2025 you’ll be embarking on a new journey that will bring you luck and fortune. You may be learning a new skill, or taking a new course and it will bring you prosperity and good fortune. A new beginning of some sorts will take place. You could be receiving gifts that might change the course of your life or be just what you need to get the wheel turning to move in a new direction. Dating a Formula One driver meant that life would never be smooth sailing. For a lot of people, this was terrifying and if you were honest with yourself, it did scare you a bit at first. However now that you were a few years into it, it wasn’t as bad as you once thought. Sure there were moments that you wished you could live even a tiny bit more privately, but such is life unfortunately. One thing you were grateful for about this chaotic spin on life (besides your boyfriend of course), was that your career was thriving. There was no way your career wouldn’t thrive. You were a lifestyle vlogger with access to the unadvertised side of a world famous athlete. 

You had been filming snippets of your life long before you had crossed paths with Carlos. Having been in the vlogging business for 8 years now, you had been dating Carlos for 3. Carlos was well aware of your career choice and while it had taken him a while to get used to you filming every other week, he eventually came to terms with it. He even managed to start having a bit of fun with it. Your fans always loved when Carlos made a cameo in your videos.

Currently, Carlos was getting dressed in your shared ensuite, having just finished showering after his training session, while you were filming in the kitchen. Today had been a filming day for you. Camera in hand, you thought why not record the retrieval as a sort of spy-esque montage. It would be fun for the fans and yourself, and who could say no to pretending to be a spy? Opening your bedroom door, you moved the camera in a way that made it look like you rolly-pollied your way across your room. Making sure the camera was facing you, you began to ‘sneakily’ rummage through everything on your vanity in search for the “hidden jewel that had been stolen by pirates”. However it was nowhere to be seen. 

“Alright guys, I think we’ll have to give up on being spies. I’m pretty sure I left it in the ensuite because it’s not on my vanity.” You explained to the camera. “There’s just one problem. Carlos is currently in said ensuite and I have no idea if he’s naked or not. Which isn’t normally a problem but I’m selfish so I’m gonna gatekeep that from you all.”  

You quickly made your way to the ensuite door and knocked loud enough for Carlos to hear over his music. You could hear him turn off his music. 

“Yeah?” He called from inside. 

“I’m filming.” You said. “Are you decent?” 

“I mean probably not morally, but I’ve got clothes on if that’s what you meant.” You heard him laugh to himself as you opened the door. You poked your head through first, just to be safe. Seeing that he was indeed dressed, you moved the camera to face him. 

“I’m keeping that in, I hope you know that.” 

“I would hope so, that was hilarious. The people need to know that I’m funny.” He walked up to you and gave you a kiss. “Did you need something?” 

“Mmm.” You hummed as his hands came to rest on your hips. “I honestly don’t even remember what it was.” 

Carlos chuckled before he grabbed something from the bathroom counter. He held it in front of you with a smirk on his face. 

“It wouldn’t happen to be the mini ring light that you always forget to put back on your vanity, would it?” 

Your sheepish smile told him everything he needed to know.

overall, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. With twitter in shambles over what happened, I thought I'd post the Carlos request I had in my drafts, as a treat/distraction.

I am at uni atm and I really tried to think of something funny that also wouldn't give too much away but there just isn't that many fun things for the blorbos to do there. Mateo is happy for his girlfriend's enthusiam but can only muster up the occasional nervous chuckle. He is also appointed the one to be On The Lookout for animals. He will exclaim 'whales!' or 'dolphins' 🐬 and point to a random blob of ocean every 20 minutes. Nine out of ten times they will be false alarms but TK gets just as excited and just as disappointed every time.

TK is wearing his fuckboy outfit of sunglasses swimtrunks and a half open shirt. 😎🩳 He is at the wheel with Nancy, equally excited and shouting everytime they hit a big wave or a speed record. He alternates between that, looking at the map and sails with squinted eyes and pursed lips pretending to be in charge of navigation but really he is a little bit confused about how it all works, and offering water, a lil' reassuring backrub and temple-kiss to-😗

Carlos, who is sitting in the cockpit wearing his life vest, 🦺holding on to anything within his reach with a tight knuckled grip, looking very nervous and slightly green, 😰🤢 asking occasional questions about safety and still trying his best to enjoy the trip. He is happy at least that TK and his friends are having fun!

Paul is unfazed, either taking a nap on deck in the sun ☀️ (with his life vest on and clipped to the railing for safety of course), or cooking them a delicious boat friendly lunch of fish tacos in the saloon kitchen. 🌮 Except for when the sails or heading needs adjusting, he is jumping in to take on the role as captain, delegating tasks and giving orders!

Whenever this happens, Judd is the first one on his feet, 🫡 using his Big Muscle-ly arms to man the winches when the sails need trimming or otherwise adjusted. 💪 When he isn't needed, he's either sitting in the cockpit with his cool guy sunglasses on, 🕶️, practicing knots 🪢 smirking and shouting the occasional 'Yee Haw!', or sitting all pale at the very front of the boat getting a sunburn because he won't admit he's feeling seasick.

Grace is also taking it all very chill. 😌 She's in her life vest too of course, enjoying the beautiful view 🌅 and asking Carlos 'are you sure you're alright honey?' or trying to coax Judd away from the front with ginger ale and the promise of a nap with his head in her lap, or get him to put on some sun screen. She isn't as enthisuastic as TK and Nancy, but she love and will hone a secret smile whenever the waves make them do a little lift-off and bump into the next wave and the speed picks up.😏

Marjan immediately took in and understood all the information about direction and speed of wind, how to set the sails and navigate. 🧭 She is doing a vlog explaining everything about their heading etc to her followers, 🤳 looking impeccable in an equally fashionable and practical outfit!

Owen caught the fish 🎣 and now he is up on deck swinging a lasso for some reason.

Thoughts while listening to the cast recording again on my way back to school

Thinking soooo hard about the parallels between Darry and Ponyboy again. Darry had hopes and dreams once but now realizes he can’t have that (for now) and doesn’t see the point in hoping and dreaming (“What's the use of dreaming about a life I'll never know. That ship sailed long ago” - RITF reprise). Ponyboy of course is all about dreaming for something more. He looks around at his rough neighborhood and is not only able to dream about getting out but also still holds on to the belief that it’s possible (“But it's all there for the taking, just a leap of faith away” - FAFT). Really cool that towards the end of the story (at least in the book, I haven’t actually seen the musical) Ponyboy thinks that Darry has a bit of a different mindset, that he won’t stay in their neighborhood forever and won’t be a hood when he’s older (this is before the rumble). And then Pony says he’s going to be like Darry in that regard and I think it’s the sweetest thing ever.

On a similar note to parallels, one of my favorite parts of The Outsiders as a whole is the contrast between Johnny and Dally. Life has been so harsh to them both. The difference is Johnny doesn’t stand up to it like Dally can. It makes him scared and he kind of takes it lying down for the most part. On the other hand, it toughens Dally up. He fights back. But I realized something while listening today that made me really sad. Life has been unkind to them in similar ways, but Johnny has Ponyboy (“The reason I'm living is you. Wherever you go that's where I'll be. Even if death tags along, I don't mind. It's still you and me” - DAMD”) and Dally doesn’t really have a relationship like that with anyone else and it speaks volumes. I don’t know if I can say any more about it rn or else I’ll be too sad, but screw you thank you, SE Hinton, for writing such a freaking good contrast.

Can anyone tell me how Ponyboy is reunited with his brothers after the fire? I know that in previews they had the Curtis brothers hug during Hoods Turned Heroes but they changed that. Is there still some form of a reunion during that song? Is there any dialogue at all? I’ve never thought about it too much but now I’m curious.

I really like the subtle difference in the instrumentation/sound in Tulsa ‘67 and the Finale. The specific part I’m talking about is towards the end and kinda goes like “duh duh, duh duh, duh duh duh” (it was the sound that was used as transition music in the Call Me Cherry vlogs lmao). To me there’s a slight difference in how that sounds in the first song vs the last. In the Finale it somehow sounds more hopeful, more final. Like if you were to listen to both songs you could tell which was the opening and which was the closing just based off of that part alone. Idk if that makes sense, but it’s one of the many parts of the music that I think it’s really cool.

What I don't understand is why Sansa stans, who want to get rid of Arya in Winterfell, go for the laziest fanon of Arya being a tourist - a theory that's borrowed from ultimate hacks D&D and the garbage TV show and which ending GRRM has repeatedly disavowed.

Arya becoming some kind of world explorer at the end pretty much ignores her book story, narrative arc, characterization and throws away the material in her so far written 32 pov chapters for an ending they came up with because of a made up headcanon. An headcanon which is far removed from the book character.

If one wants to get rid of Arya in Winterfell to make way for Sansa, the least they could do is actually read Arya's chapters and attempt to come up with an ending that makes more sense for the character.

Arya is a character who wants to help. From Mycah to Weasel to Samwell Tarly, Arya is someone who stands up against injustice even at great risk to herself. She's selfless and would sacrifice her personal happiness for the greater good. She wants things to be better, for herself, for her friends, for the smallfolk.

One ending could be Arya Stark as a leader of the Riverlands, helping rebuild from the ravages of war, helping the people who survived. Arya, who has the empathy and the skillsets to help them, who has listened and learned from her father on how to govern. We see Willow Heddle take care of orphans and managing an inn with a quiet efficiency that mirrors Arya's and Gendry hanging around helping her. I could see Arya and Gendry continue their relationship, fall in love, marry and settle down in the Riverlands while Arya either rules the Riverlands as the Tully heir/Cat's daughter or as Lady of Harrenhal helps Edmure Tully rebuild the Riverlands.

Or, if Jon Snow leaves for beyond the Wall as the leader of the new territories and lands there, maybe Arya goes with him. Considering their close bond and love for each other and the fact that home is where each other is - something else that is again established in the books - if she had no choice but to leave Winterfell, going with Jon Snow to help him lead the freefolk beyond the Wall could be another option.

Or if Bran does end up becoming King on the Iron Throne, then she could stay in KL to help her much loved baby brother. She wouldn't like leaving Winterfell, but Arya is a character who sacrifices and does what's right, no matter how hard it is for her to do personally. Plus, she wanted to be a king's councillor and build things. Her training and skillsets with the FM would also make her alert to any future LF/Varys types trying to plot against Bran - not that someone who can see into the past and present needs a master spy...

Or Arya and Brienne start a school for young girls who are interested in learning different things and have teachers who actually develop their talents based on what they are good at instead of being hateful for what they cannot be.

In my opinion, any of these endings is better than 'Arya, world explorer' an empty, nonsensical ending that has no connection to the character's book story and is actually contemptuous of the suffering and trauma this child has been through over several books. Meet new people and learn new languages? What do these folks think Arya has been doing so far? The girl's been traveling from her second AGoT chapter, meeting countless people. sailed the narrow seas, engaged with new cultures, learned new languages. She's been there, done that.

What's even more ridiculous is that it's Sansa stans who often engage in the oppression olympics of Sansa having suffered the worst, that Sansa 'deserves' Winterfell because she suffered the most abuse, that the only ending that makes sense for Sansa is being back in Winterfell because she suffered so much etc. And yet according to these very same folks, Sansa is going to roll up her sleeves and tirelessly work to lead the people of the North, while Arya is going on a cruise ship vacation and vlog about the new cuisine she is trying out...Hey, maybe after having suffered the most of ALL characters in the series, maybe it's Sansa who deserves the cruise ship vacation, you know?

We have the author himself saying that Arya's harrowing experiences and journey through Westeros and Essos has aged her up so much that he considers the character older than some of the 40 year olds in the books! And yet there are still people harping on and on about tourist Arya ffs.

I personally think Arya will be in Winterfell at the end of the books, either helping her younger brothers Bran/Rickon lead the North or more probably as a leader in her own right.

Arya is a central character in the series, the female character with the most POV chapters. There's no way GRRM has one of his lead female characters end up playing a supporting role in her brothers or sister's story. No way.

The author has given her the character development in the books to lead the North. She has a hulking huge grey direwolf at her side - the sigil of house Stark. She is the lone Stark who has the Stark look. Her direwolf is named after the first Dornish princess who changed female inheritance in Dorne - a big clue for a character who has chafed against patriarchal restrictions on what women can and cannot do. I mean this is how we are introduced to Arya Stark in her very first AGoT chapter:

“The Lannisters are proud,” Jon observed. “You’d think the royal sigil would be sufficient, but no. He makes his mother’s House equal in honor to the king’s.”

“The woman is important too!” Arya protested. - Arya, AGoT

It's clear to me that her arc is heading towards her being the first Lady of Winterfell/Wardeness of the North, nicely bookending her arc which started with her wanting the woman to be as important as the man, arguing for equality when it comes to their house. That's how organic story telling and building a narrative actually works.

I am aware of the principal Internet forums about A Song of Ice and Fire and I really used to look at the American and English groups. Nowadays, the most important site is Westeros, but I started to feel uncomfortable and I thought it would be a better idea not to get to these sides. The fans use to come up with theories; lots of them are just speculative but some of them are in the right way. Before the Internet, one reader could guess the ending you wanna do for your novel, but the other 10.000 wouldn’t know anything and they would be surprised. However, now, those 10.000 people use the Internet and read the right theories. They say: “Oh God, the butler did it!”, to use an example of a mystery novel. Then, you think: “I have to change the ending! The maiden would be the criminal!” To my mind that way is a disaster because if you are doing well you work, the books are full of clues that point to the butler doing it and help you to figure up the butler did it, but if you change the ending to point the maiden, the clues make no sense anymore; they are wrong or are lies, and I am not a liar. - GRRM

let’s say this whole situation started when you guys have that one hangout together as a couple where the both of you just do your own thing. maybe yujun invited you to his room, you’re just chilling on his bed while he tells you he’s gonna play some pc games.

at first it was completely peaceful, save for a few typing sounds of his keyboard and mouse clicking. your soul almost left your body when the silence was shattered by his sudden scream, snapping your head towards the back of his chair.

and when you go and approach him, he just gives you that cute eye smile of his.

“y/n! i just got a double kill!”

he really just dramatically startled you for that. when he saw you sigh before leaving him alone, he asks you if you wanna try playing together.

“you’ll get it if you try playing this game i promise!”

and that’s how he ended up convincing you to buy your own pc. you also have him to thank for the mess of pc parts scattered all over the floor. yujun wanted it to be a cute couple activity so he asked if you could build your pc together. you agreed, trusting that he knows how all this stuff works.

well, he never actually said he knows how… so he sheepishly smiles at you and rubs his neck shyly. he should be thankful he’s cute or you would’ve tackled him already. oh, and it absolutely did not help that yujun is probably the clumsiest person you know.

when you finally feel like building the pc is in smooth sailing, some random part you need would go missing. just to find out that yujun accidentally sat on it. it was far more stressful than it should be, but yujun was trying his best to cheer you up and remind you of all the games you could play with him once you guys get the thing done.

finally you get the thing built in a day, almost thinking you’re never gonna finish it with him around.

the first time you played fps games with him was such an experience. he lives for the way you panic sometimes that you just freeze on your position and ask him for help, yujun standing behind you as he comes closer and moves your mouse and keyboard by himself. you feel like you’re probably ruining his gaming sessions because everytime you come along, he loses more than he wins matches.

but he doesn’t care about victories in his games rn!! what he really enjoys is the time he’d spent with you, and he tells you he loves gaming more than ever because you’re playing with him!

oh, after school gaming sessions at pc cafes are becoming a frequent thing in your relationship!

and it’s also really really cute to witness yujun being all giggly and excited when starting a game, but then halfway through he’d get serious, brows knitted together and all. such an intense expression on his face, but would startle you sometimes when he cheers after getting a kill or whatever

if you're into chill games, he'd also have fun playing it with you! whether it be stardew valley, animal crossing, or minecraft.

accidentally lets a creeper into your minecraft base

he'd offer to rebuild your base for you but you stop him when you see the huge gap between the taste you have for your minecraft builds. you guys just have contrasting aesthetics when you build your minecraft base.

like you'd be making a cute house on the side while yujun builds his own with diamond blocks.
