MISC SENTENCE STARTERS WITH ANGST
âOh?â The Joestar blinks, brows raising as he looks to the other âAnd what am I thinking?â Sometimes it was hard to figure out what he was thinking, even for Josuke himself. Many times, though, he was quite the open book. Curiosity struck him in that moment, ocean blues focused on the other.

One thing I enjoy about Law/Bepo is that I constantly see the debate surrounding âIs Law getting it?â Like, is the man so hot and stoic heâs constantly getting ass or is he a creepy workaholic weirdo with terrible social skills who couldnât possibly get laid? And the LawBepo answer is both. The man fell in love with a mink at 14 and has not looked back. He can hook one guy, specifically a guy who apologizes like itâs second nature and thus needs constant validation and is over obvious with his feelings in a way thatâs nye impossible to misinterpret. Man found his wife at 14 while recovering from a depressive spell and thus has never had to exist in the normal dating scene. Could not possibly hit on a woman at a random bar and be successful on anything but his looks but is, in fact, constantly getting laid cause he picked his wife up out of the snow during his preteens. A creepy little weirdo who built his sexuality around a mink and thus would have a terrible time in a regular dating scene, who is dating his co worker and thus can work and fuck at the same time. Man has a partner with a natural predisposition to swimming and would do great on a regular sail ship but instead chose a submarine so his partner can never be more that 100ft away from him. A workaholic creepy little weirdo with negligible social skills who is, in fact, constantly getting laid, itâs the ideal Trafalgar Law.
THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL ASK ANON THANK YOU SO MUCH
Man found his wife at 14 while recovering from a depressive spell and thus has never had to exist in the normal dating scene
put that shit in GRANITE
constantly getting laid cause he picked his wife up out of the snow during his preteens Crying
đđđ
so. sooooo true. i love how he is so terrible when people flirt with him - easiest examples are Monet or Robin even if neither was serious about it we digress - he didnt even BOTHER being friendly like yeah yeah whatever whatever shut up bitch - he is such a rudeass, the type of rudeass that only comes with being extremely married. he is NOT interested, he will not lift a finger or bother with a smile
its soooo real how technically he has no game cuz he dont need it - i would argue with lack of social skills - he does have them he just doesnt use them - he can be charming as a person if he wants to (cuz how else do you collect such a big crew)
i dooo LOVE the thought of him being STRANGE AND OFFPUTTING and he is really saved by being a hottie when he is put in a fucking situation. he has to do very little, he is hot, and thats exactly what he does - bare minimum, he is so not invested - because he is thinking about how everyone is inferior to Bepo - also Bepo will be jealous if he finds out...Bepo..
BUILDING HIS SEXUALITY AROUND A MINK - YEEESSS thats my favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its the same with just HAVING always been with Bepo ofc its fucking normal that a guy is a bear, why the fuck not. thats a guy, thats their guy - Law's special guy in particular whomst he treasures...like IMAGINE living with a permanent furry since middle school thats ought to become normal for you in like a few months..and Law seeing him LIKE THAT ruined humans for him fr...whatever...People? who cares. he has such a lovely wonder next to him. going thru puberty while your bestie, most loyal person to you is a furry...permanently altered brain chemistry. literally built different
you are sooooooooooooo right its so true and its the best
i love that Law a sexy guy who is completely off limits and unapproachable on purpose - he has sex life on easy mode because he saved Bepo once and have stayed a prince charming, knight in shining armor for Bepo EVER SINCE. he is always a hero he is always awesome and the best
laughing about a submarine being confined space lmao oh of course...you are trapped in there with him, Bepo (Bepo: yay \o/âĽ)
AND ANOTHER THING THAT MAKES LAWBEPO GREAT FOR LAWS CHARACTER - being in a long time established relationship - A CHILDHOOD SWEETHEART EVEN - makes him Very Cool. Oh you kept a good relationship for a decade and even developed it into a romantic partnership? Awesome. It makes a man complete dare i say! I love when characters are married as hell, genuinely a massive flex
thank you so much for the ask you are so fucking right im sorry if my reply is too chaotic xoxo thank you for loving lawbepo with me

Visitors From Another World Part 2
Masterlist
Part 1
Part two will include Wind, Sky and Four.
Windâs character was very nicely given to me by @thesoftieanonâ
Content under the cut!
Wind
Wind was walking away from the group to catch his breath and get some time to himself when he found them.
He screamed when they collided. He fell backwards and crawled as far away as he could from the being.
They were... strange, to say the least.
They were at least six feet tall, covered in stars that peaked out of the black abyss of their skin. They didnât have any other discernable features aside from the idea that they were standing on two legs and had two arms. One arm was crossed over their body, holding what Wind had to assume was their other arm, which was bleeding. There was a patch of silver blood under their hand.
Wind coughed, waiting them attack him. They seemed to be waiting for him to do the same. Slowly, he stood up, noting how they seemed to follow his movements with great interest.
He puts his hand sup, showing that he meant peace, ignoring his earlier outburst.
âUh... Hello...â He speaks after a beat. âMy name is Link....I never seen your kind before. Do you live nearby?â
They take a step back, holding their injury tighter. âGiblighi, namaan-oblian.â
âUh-oh.â Wind winces. Language barrier. Thatâs going to be a problem.
âWind!â Hyrule comes out of the bushes. âWe heard you scream. What is- what is that?!â
Hyruleâs hand drops the hilt of his blade, jumping in front of Wind without a moments hesitation.
Wind also jumps, but he grabs Hyruleâs hand, stopping him from taking out his weapon. The creature in front of them warbles and shrinks away, showing sings of fear and concern.
Wind shakes his head as fast as he can. âHyrule, no! Theyâre hurt! Can you help them?â
Hyruleâs jaw dropped. âDo you know them?âÂ
âWell... no.â Wind pauses. âBut they donât speak hylian. The least we can do is help them.â
Hyrule drops his hand, eyeing the creature with suspicion. He takes a few steps forward. The creature warbles again. The stars on their skin move with their vocalizations. They appear to shine brighter for a moment, like they were pulsating with the sound, but they shimmer back down.
Hyrule holds up a hand and mutters the spell under his breath. His palm glows for a moment before he lets it drop.
Wind comes around. If he looks close enough, he thinks he can recognize some of the stars from his maps and the sky he studied as he sailed across the Great Sea. âCool...â
Wind steps closer. The creature was too busy poking their arm and looking at the spot where the nonexistent injury resided. They were fully healed.
They both looked at Wind and Hyrule before they shifted to look like a mix of the two of them. They took Hyruleâs hair, boots and bracers. They took Windâs face and clothes. They smile. âFrekletka.â
Wind and Hyrule share a look. â...I donât think theyâre going to be leaving any time soon.â
âI donât either.âÂ
Sky
âSo...â Sky keeps the Master Sword pointed a head of him, not taking his eyes off of the being in front of him for a moment. âYouâre not here to eat us all?â
âWhy would I do that? Humans are too gummy for my taste anyway.âÂ
Sky frowns. Thatâs not exactly a better answer than he would have accepted.
The being appeared bug like in nature. Multiple limbs and multiple eyes. Who was he kidding? The bottom half looked like a massive skulltula while the top half of them looked like a human. Minus the extra arms and extra pairs of eyes. Sky couldnât tell if they had eight eyes or if they had six eyes and the smaller black dots were their nostrils, but it was enough to be off putting.
Sky doesnât lower the sword.
They click their tongue and cross a pair of arms. âIâm kidding, of course. Iâm vegetarian.â
The sword stays.
â....Can I get a lawyer?â
âWhatâs a lawyer?â Sky finally drops the blade an inch. If anything, heâd feel better if someone else would come back and tell him what exactly heâs looking at. Otherwise, he has no reason to trust this person and he also has all the reason to attack them.
If the blood on his cheek has anything to say about it anyway. He struck first.
âCan I at least know where I am?â They try again, teetering the line of impatience.Â
âHyrule.â Sky raises an eyebrow. Hyruleâs a pretty big place from what heâs been told. Itâs strange that they wouldnât know that.
âWow!â Legend rushes to his side, also drawing his weapon. âWhat the heck? Sky! Are you ok? Donât answer that, youâre bleeding.â
âI did apologize-â
âIâve never seen someone like you before.â Legend pushes a little closure to Skyâs side.Â
They deadpan. âI believe you humans call my kind Driders.â
â...No we donât.â Legend frowns, feeding into Skyâs unease. âWe donât have your kind here.â
âIâve gathered that quite quickly.â The drider gestures to Sky with a lazy hand. âBefore I knew it, we struck each other and have been in a standstill since. I suppose introductions are in order. My name is Samuel. Yours?â
The two of them share a look before they slowly, begrudgingly lower their guard. Sky finally puts the Master Sword down. âWe have the same name. Link. But Iâve been going by Sky and heâs been going by Veteran or Legend, he responds to both.â
âThe others are never going to believe this.â Legend chokes on his breath. âThe Old Man is goin to kill us.â
âYour leader, I presume?â Samuel takes a few steps closer. âIâd like the meet them, then. And finally get some answers.â
Sky pouts, using the back of his hand to wipe the last of the blood on his cheek. âFine. Just know that everyone is going to freak out for a while.â
âI gathered that. How many of you are there?â
âNine.â
âFun.â
Four
Four wasnât sure what to think of them.
They had, quite literally, popped into existence, scaring half of them, before b-lining towards Warrior and shoving a brown paper covered box into his chest.
âLana and Cia send their regards, naturally.â They grinned. âAnd I get to be the carrier pigeon!â
Warrior didnât seem surprised, or impressed. âThank you. Happy to still have their support.â
It was the most sarcastic Fourâs ever heard him. But there was a smile on his face, so maybe it wasnât really directed towards this new person.Â
Four managed to get a good look at them while Warrior opened the box. They looked like Cia... and Lana. Granted, when Four had met the two, it was made known to him that they were once the same person. Hence the high resemblance.
That didnât explain this new person though.
But they were very pretty, Four notices.
You say something else, but Four misses it. Warrior laughs at it though. âI donât know what you had in your world. But we donât do that here.â
âWell it sounds like youâre a bunch of sticks in the mud.â They cross their arms with a small smirk. âShould I worry about the guy who canât take his eyes off of me or should I wait until he makes a move?â
Four pales and shuffles on his feet. âSorry.â
They turn to him and wink. âDonât worry about it. I heard that I missed you guys when you visited the two terrible twins-â
âDonât call Lana that-â
â-But Iâm here now!â They strike a pose with a small peace sign by their eye. âAnd feel free to ignore whatever Mr. Soggy Soaks over here has to say about me-â
âTheyâre a menance-!â
â-But I promise that Iâm sure cool and stuff and Iâll be coming around from now on since the other two love to gossip but canât exactly leave their temple right now.â
Four snorts, watching Warrior grow more and more exasperated with being ignored and talked over. But within seconds, Warrior wraps his arm around their shoulders and pins him with a stare.
Four tilts his head, trying to not come off as intimidated as it looks.
âThey donât eat bread with crust.â He says.
âHey! I told you! Thatâs just back home! I have no other option here!â They freak out.
âTaylor, you said it yourself that you still donât eat it.â Warrior frowns.
Four is thrown for a loop. Is there another way to eat it?
âYou donât eat the handles, Link! Weâve talked about this!â
âItâs wasteful! Not if you keep eating them for me!â
âI canât-...You know what? Fair.â Warrior holds his hand sup in surrender.
Four canât help but want to be included in the conversation. âTaylor...â
The name feels weird on his tongue but it catches their attention regardless. They grin. âYouâre a fast learner.â
â...Warrior said you com from another world?â
They snort. âOh yeah. This isnât even my original body. Lana made it for me because I was stuck in Ciaâs head for the longest time.â
Four blinks, staring ahead. â...How?â
âItâs a long story.â
âThat we donât have time for.â Warrior starts to push them away. âOk! Thank you for stopping by! Send my regards as well! Donât come back and embarrass me again!â
âNot on your life!â They laugh, waving to the group as whole. They then point to Four with a mischievous grin. âWeâll talk more later.â
Then just as fast as they appeared, they left, but with a promise with return.
Warrior groans. âGreat. Donât me wrong, theyâre a good person. But they love making my life more difficult.â
âThen weâll get along just fine.â Legend snorts.
âThatâs what worries me.â
âI liked them.â Four smiles. He canât wait to ask them about everything.Â

omg lore drop
Ssooo
Bout abunch if centuries ago, before Captain Jasper Cookie became a captain he was just a wee lad following around his father. Course he mostly swabbed the deck n' hosted the sail (Though he was quite frail at the time so it was quite difficult and someone else had to help him). Throughout the time being out at sea he's met quite a few cookies ofcourse, he eventually meets this odd octopus (Cough Cough LARIMAR COUGH) who offered to give him a prize "This little thing will be worth your while young sailor! All you gotta do is win my simple game!" Course it was a riddle game, though not too smart, Jasper Cookie managed to guess the right answer! "Well well well, looks like someone's finally won my game for once, that's a first.. Oh well! As promised, ya get your prize, now scram and enjoy the rest of your life" She said as she handed him the locket before slithering back to the black of the ocean. Course, Jasper wears the locket thinking nothing of it.
He returns to Abalone's ship and does his regular duty of swabbing the deck. And insert the mermaid's tale event happening, Abalone's ship is now SINKING thanks to black pearl (as she should) Jasper is still on the ship, hanging on whatever he can to not get soggy. Abalone is yelling for his son to help him (cuz why not) Of course it's his dad, Jasper wants to help him but something pulls him back, telling him to climb to the highest point of the sinking ship, he listens to whatever is filling his head and leaves his father to die. He gets to the highest point the ship of the ship and jumps, getting away from Black Pearl's raging vortex that swallows the ship (I can't remember if it was a vortex or not). Jasper swims away, looking back at the wails from the sinking ship. He feels guilty for leaving his father to die, but he kept swimming to shore.
After reaching shore, he plops onto the sand and processes the near death experience he went through. And after a long hard thought, he decided from that day forth he'd go on more dangerous adventures and eventually became a captain. During the adventures he found many a treasures, met new cookies and gained their trust, who which became part of his crew. Ofcourse over time he went on a CERTAIN journey with his crew, visiting the duskloom sea. Foolish sailors! People thought, watching as his ship and crew went sailing towards that deadly ocean. Eventually days go by, no sight of their return. Days turn into weeks, still no sign of ship. Weeks turn into months, months into a year. After twenty years of that ship going missing into the duskloom sea, everyone thought that the ship had sank and everyone abroad became soggy and succumb to their fate.
But- What in the world!? What's that blinding light coming from the darkness of that deadly sea!? Why it's a sturdy ship shining bright with crystallized armor! Shining so bright almost as if it were the sun itself! Once the ship made it back to the docks, Captain Jasper Cookie hopped off and gave a hearty hello to the curious cookies who nearly surrounded the entire ship! They were amazed how Jasper hadn't aged a single bit since he left! Course, they also wondered where has he been for the past two decades? How did he survive? Why such a blinding ship? And where was his crew!? Before any of those were answered, he simple dropped a large chest full of precious treasures! Golds, jewelry, emeralds, you name it! Everyone simply became too distracted by the treasures and thanking him they forgot they're questions!
Course, even hundreds years later no one knows the answers except for him! Some rumors spread about, some saying he never went to the duskloom sea in the first place! Some say he abandoned his crew! Even some think he's a ghost due to the ships very pale colors! And the eerie shine it has at night.. Spooky! Though he found himself with a whole new crew! Some of which sharing the eerie shine with the ship! People thought this whole new crew were all ghosts of his previous crew! Such a silly rumor. There was a rumor of a shining cookie helping the sailors escape. What nonsense! A mere cooking saving a whole boat from the wraith of black pearl cookie? Now that's just silly! Some speculate it was the Shining Knight who's rarely ever seen, yet there's hardly any proof of their existence! Only a single carving on some stone of a shimmering light floating between the sea and sky!
Besides that w e e ramble
That silly locket Jasper carries with him everywhere seems to be getting eyed at more frequently.. Many of greedy cookies have tried to offer him many things for that locket. But he's declined every offer ever given to him. Quite a few cookies tried to threaten him to give it up, but he simply laughs at their faces and walks off! They've tried to snatch the locket, only to be met with a face plant into the wall or floor! He only laughs at their pathetic attempts to steal the locket and goes on with his day! After a day of threats and fights, he goes back to his ship and sails out with his glimmering crew. No one knows where he goes next, nor when he leaves. He and his crew are quite the mystery! Yet Jasper never aging always baffles cookies! Leaving them to ponder how he does it!
I am NOT good at writing stuff shdkd
I'm still drawing bros crew cuz I decided to make em look COMPLICATED cries
YA GET A P E E K at two of em u3u â¨

Kass started playing on his accordion. Everyone seemed to recognise the song almost straight away except for 8 of the goddesses heroes, most assuming it was written after their time. Turns out, they were right.
-
If you want to know what song they are singing, itâs called âfallenâ from a fan-made breath of the wild musical called âsongs from the wildâ. I highly recommend all Loz fans to check it out!
âWelcome to Rito Village!â Wild declared proudly, arms spread wide. He gave the others a minute to take it all in, most gazes drawn to the giant bird perched at the top of the village, before bounding up the steps.
The others followed him up the winding platforms around the village, and he quickly payed for beds at the inn for tonight, (they would have to double up to fit) then the group followed him to a platform which stretched out into the open sky.
A rito with blue feathers sat on the edge surrounding by a group of younger rito girls.
âKass!â Wild cheered.
The rito turned at the noise, smiling as soon as they recognised Wild.
âLink! Itâs good to see you!â
The younger rito all ran over, bouncing and demanding hugs.
âLink! Link!â They chirped.
Wild turned back to his brothers.
âThis is Kass.â He introduced. âAnd these are his daughters, Kheel, Notts, Kotts, Cree, and Genli.â
âYou and your friends should come here tonight, Link.â Kass said to Wild.
âYeah!â His daughters cheered.
âWeâll be performing with Papa!â The rito with purple feathers, Kheel, said excitedly.
Wild laughed. âOk then, weâll have to see you then.â
-
That night, the rito and the chain gathered at Revaliâs landing to watch Kass and his daughters perform.
âLink!â Cree, the oldest of the daughters hurried over to them, quickly followed my her sisters. âWe want you to choose the song!â
Wild raised his eyebrows. âMe?â He replied, laughing.
When the rito girls all nodded determinedly, he paused to think. His gaze travelled over his brothers, before he smiled and whispered something to Cree.
They ran back over to their father, telling him Wildâs song choice.
Kass started playing on his accordion. Everyone seemed to recognise the song almost straight away except for 8 of the goddesses heroes, most assuming it was written after their time. Turns out, they were right.
Wild, the little shit, grinned at them with a knowing look.
âSo a long time ago, when our people rode high, and we lived with the goddess way up in the sky-â Cree sang.
âWell, even back then,â Kheel joined in. âWhen an evil arose, every instance was thwarted by Hyliaâs heroes.â
âAnd there was a sword,â Notts chirped. âWhich shone like the sun, and one slumbered for seven long years but, when done-â
Kotts began to sing the next part. âThe hero would use it to vanquish each foe! Or, at least thatâs how I heard those stories all gooo.â
Wind grabbed Wilds arm. âThey wrote songs about us?!â He exclaimed, eyes shining.
âJust wait for your part.â Wild laughed.
Wind gasped. âI have a part?!â
Wild nodded, smiling, then put a finger to his lips.
The sisters all sang as one. âHylia, answer our call.â
Then it was Kassâ turn. âAs long as our kingdom has prospered and thrived.â
âHup!â
âThereâs always been times when weâve scarcely survived,â
âHup!â
âBut the goddess, she sends us a gift from on high: A hero, a princess-â
The family all sang: âA power diviiiine.â
âThe stories all tell of a hero, that comes to the call of the wild. We wish someone knew if those stories are true, but the fun is in waiting around.â
The chain were all smiling and elbowing each other.
âSo we sing of their triumphs and all thatâs beside them, as we hear our destinies calling, and we⌠we remember the fallen.â
âDoes anyone else have a story to tell?â Kass asked.
âOh, Iâve got one!â Genli chirped, before starting to sing. âThere once was a hero who fought with the dark.â
âAnd returned light to Hy-rule.â Her sisters sang.
âOoh!â Notts exclaimed. âAnd he sailed the oceans with dolphins and sharks!â
âAnd the seas drained and life moved on..â The rito chorused.
Kree sang next. âHe washed up on an island, then he shrunk down in size.â
âSo we sing of these heroes, courageous and wise, and we pray that one will come to ensure our own evilâs demise.â
5 little rito then ran to Wild, asking him to sing with them. He shook his head, but own can only resist the young girlsâ begging and Wind and Legends calls of âcuckoo!â for so long.
He looked nervous in front of the crowd, but he quickly grew in confidence.
âThe stories all tell of a hero, that comes to the call of the wild.â He sang. âWe wish someone knew if those stories are true, but the fun is in waiting around.â
Wild grinned as he began to dance with Kassâ daughters, all of him joining his voice with their own.
âSo we sing of their fables, and through every tale, we can feel all our worries are stalling.â
Wild looked over at his brothers, who were all cheering him on.
âAs we⌠we remember the fallen.â

Suptober23 - Day 8: Satanic Panic
âThere, standing among the wreckage, is what you presume to be a man. At least until the dust settles and then you can see him clearly. Deep red skin, horns that extend over his head,â Samâs hands raise above his head, stopping midway to widen the distance between the two. âStraight until they curve backwards and then they come back up.â At everyoneâs baffled expression, Sam huffs and grabs a piece of paper and Deanâs pen. Dean canât see over the laptop, but it doesnât take a genius to guess heâs drawing. âA long tail curves and lashes behind him. White eyes, no pupil to be seen, almost shining as he stares at yâall. No armor, but heâs holding a butcher knife in his hand.â
Sam grimaces at his drawing before putting down in the middle of the table. They all lean forward to see Samâs stick figure fighting for its life to resemble anything. Dean laughs first, but Ash, Charlie and Castiel follow him easily.Â
âNo!â Sam successfully bats at his hand when Dean brings out his phone, but isnât fast enough to stop Charlieâs. âGuys, come on!â He whines. âMurder demon waiting here.âÂ
Dean would bet his life on the fact that the groupchat Charlie created for the party has the badly drawn sketch as a profile picture already, but he puts his own phone down and raises his hands as a sign of surrender.
âThat lawyer degree is clearly lost on you, Sammy, youâre Van Goghâs second coming.â He cannot stop himself from saying, and smirks at Sam flipping him off.
âOh!â Castiel says, looking up from his phone. âThe horns, are they supposed to be a mimicry of an Impalaâs?â
Dean leans towards Castiel and looks at his phone. âMotherfucker. They are!â He looks back at his brother. âCanât believe youâre going to make me kill Baby.â
âWe donât necessarily need to kill him,â Ash points out. âBut it does seem to be the fastest way to get the fuck out of here.â
âShame on you, Samuel. What kind of sick fantasy is this that youâre nursing? Did Baby try to kill you or something?â
âHeâs gonna attack you.â Sam deadpans.
âWait, for real?âÂ
âYes! Youâre just standing there, covered in blood and not paying attention to him.â
âDonât be a dick,â Dean says, âWeâre messing around.â
âIs that a fiend?â Castiel asks, the playerâs handbook that he brings to all sessions opened on the table. Heâs such a nerd.Â
âTechnically, theyâre humanoids.â Charlie responds before Sam can answer. âSo I donât think they count as fiends.â
Castiel furrows his brow. âIsnât it a demon?â
âAh,â Dean brings the book close to him and goes to the index. âNo, man, itâs a tiefling. Half demon at best,â He finds the page he needs and goes to it to show Cas. âKinda like how youâre not an angel angel.â
âIâm not an angel in any way.â
âWell, Aasimar is kinda-â
âThereâs no angels in Dungeons and Dragons, Dean.â
âShows what you know, thereâs definitely angels in D&D.â
Castiel looks accusingly at Sam. Sam raises his hands in an echo of Dean a few minutes ago. âNot playable, more as a creature you can encounter.âÂ
âAw, Cas, did you wanna be a lil angel?â Dean teases.Â
âThe symbolic relevance of it was an interesting counterargument to all that I was taught about this game in my childhood.â Cas answers, completely serious and taking all the wind out of Deanâs sails. âTo be fair, I think my parents assumed this was more satanic and somehow selling our souls than fighting demons with math.âÂ
âItâs not about the math,â Dean despairs over Castielâs whole life as he continues, âItâs about the adventure and getting to kill stuff and have a good time and not eternal damnation or whatever your folks said.â
Castiel smiles, small, before grabbing the book again. His hand caresses the picture of the tiefling on the book. âI know, Dean.â
âWell. Good.â
Sam clears his throat. âYou guys gonna roll initiative now or what?â

Need some place to get my thoughts out and youâre the unfortunate recipient lmao
I feel like my issue with the idea of Tim and Lucy going through a break up is that itâs so overdone in shows where itâs back and forth - and I wouldnât want them to break up if they just got together again without development and lots of conversation, or if it happens multiple times- which I think is something a lot of shows gloss over when getting a couple back together, you know? Though saying that, Iâm all for the angst potential if it happens!
AND on a side note that has nothing to do with them as a couple, I would love to hear all your thoughts on Lucy, and what youâd like to see for her storylines going forward?
â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
Hi! Ramble away. As long as we're all respectful I'm a-okay with it. <3
I totally agree with your overarching point here, though I will say I don't see this being a back-and-forth, on-and-off type of thing. I totally get that being considered ooc and being something the fandom doesn't want because, girl, me too!
But considering this is really centred around one or two big issues (undercover work, but also their refusal to communicate with one another over both relationship and non-relationship fears), I feel that once the crux of those are solved, it doesn't come up again and it's smooth sailing for them.
Some of my favourite ships have that one breakup that leads to them dealing with issues they couldn't when they were too close and not communicating - though I 100% agree that if they did all this and separated them entirely, I don't want it either. I think this is where my opinion differs from a lot of people's, in that I think Chenford's current communication isn't, for lack of a better word, uh... good? Don't get me wrong, I love 5b and what we got from it, but partially it's for that reason. I love seeing them be a little messy and hide things from each other in the name of ~love and the honeymoon phase and all of that.
So, in my ideal scenario, a breakup is what ends up pushing a lot of those conversations they've been back-burnering, because now that main reason for not talking things through is gone. (Also, it's worth saying a big reason I prefer this over a fight is that the UC debacle can't be solved over one fight. the fear can be, but Tim still has his feelings on it and Lucy has hers. IMO, this is something she needs to figure out separate from him, which is actually probably easier if something tumultuous happens while they're broken up.)
A well done breakup storyline is rife with subtle tension â a pet name slipup here, an accidental touch of the hand there â and I think would give their chemistry a chance to shine. Now, granted, it has to be done well, you're right! Obviously if it's done poorly and they just don't talk, I don't want that, but I also don't want any Chenford storyline that's done poorly. And, well, I personally think if the subtle weaved in angst of 5b is tossed aside, that's a story done poorly, but that's just me!
Also! To answer your other point, you're sweet to ask! I have both many and few thoughts on that because I like to consider myself open to what the story throws at me. Characters are always changing based on what canon throws our way, so what I may think is good for Lucy now, could be totally different from my thoughts after 6x02 or so! But if you have a specific question I'd be happy to try and tackle it. :)
#ask#anonymous#chenford#tagging this in case anon doesn't follow me but pls be nice and respect my opinions in the replies as i'll respect yours#some caveats: everything is my opinion and nothing is set in stone! this is just an ask pls don't call me miserable or a child. smooches!

SornafelmĂŤ was reminded of FĂŤanĂĄro then, and how he'd set a peephole into the door of his workshop - as he put it, for determining if his guests merited his attention.  But while Nerdanel's door opened slowly, it did open. Â

Sic vita est @i-did-not-mean-to Rated: T N-CFC(s)
Based on the lovely art #148 by maglorslostsilmaril (lovely author AND writer!), this is a collection of short stories about the different daughters of FĂŤanor and the chaos that seems to pursue them obstinately. Beta-ed by the amazing cuarthol (again, excellent author, please go check it out!!!)
It's a series of ludicrous, humorous, and often light-hearted incidents with softer (and sometimes slightly sad) undertones.
We hope that you'll find some pleasure in this; I have taken a few liberties when it came to ages and timelines in order to make all the babies meet and this is far from canon-compliant.
Basically, it's a happier retelling for all the characters, a re-do if you so want, and I truly hope that you'll feel the love and the hope in it.

Yo Ho A Pirates Life For Me: A Twisted Wonderland Event
@adrianasunderworld it is done! (And if you wanna add WAI POV for this go on ahead đ. Iâd love to see them.) Please note that this is a fanmade event with my school Black Pearl College and its people.
An event like no other. Set sail with limited time twistunes and battles as you fight for first place.
Summary:
Itâs that time of year again for BPC. The Kraken strikes again! A three day event filled with physical activity and sea themed games. Only those who are suited for the sea can participate but this year, something else happens. Other schools are allowed to attend and NRC receive an invitation to participate! Only things arenât quite what they seem and something dark is brewing beneath the wavesâŚ
Concept:
The Kraken is a three day event in BPC where students shine at pirate skills. Each day is dedicated to a different skill.
Day One: Navigation; Sailing the seas is risky enough with natural dangers like storms and sea monsters, however getting lost in sea can pose the risk of death if your navigation skills are bad. A maze is magically constructed from rocks in a nearby area and a race is on for whoever can finish first. Each ship elects a captain and they get a map of the maze. You may encounter the other teams ships and have to battle each other to get by. If your boat sinks, or if you crash, youâre out. Whoever exits first wins.
Day Two: Swordsmanship; A pirate should never be far from a trusty blade. Anyone who knows their saltâs worth knows that going on without a weapon can end badly for you. The arena is deep within the jungle of the island and itâs participants are faced off against each other. The area within the arena can magically change within an instant. You could be standing on the jungle floor, then on top of a loose, runaway wheel to an exploding island. Four participants of each school stand in the center and square off against each other. If you knock your opponent out of the ring, theyâre out. The last one standing wins. The event must end before sundown and everyone must be back at campus before the moon rises.
Day Three: Swimming; Another important skill that anyone should know. It could come in handy to escape cannon fire or a predator. The event is hold on the bay on the east side of the island. Participants stand on the planks and dive into the sea once the starting pistol is fired. However some obstacles are present. The tide may get stronger or the merpeople students may hide in the water and grab onto the swimmers ankles/tails. It may take time to pry them off and you may use anything around you to trick them into grabbing it and getting free. Whoever reaches the shore first wins.
It all starts when Crowley calls an assembly. Everyone there wonders what is going on until Crowley breaks the news; NRC has been invited to attend the Kraken! A collective gasp is heard throughout the room and everyone whispers about it. Yuu and Grim question on what the Kraken is and why theyâre going to a famed sea monster. Its not until Crewel shuts everyone up with his whip and tells the student body to be quiet. Crowley hands the floor to Vargas to explain the Kraken.
Vargas explains that itâs a three day physical event held at Black Pearl Collage. Another wave of whispers and mutters starts hearing the name of the school. Grim asks what BPC is. Ace and Deuce then explain that BPC is pirate style mage school and that itâs hidden from every map. Yuu questions on why this school is hidden and Azul answers them. He explains that it once was on the map but the magical artifact, the Captainâs Organ, mysteriously vanished one night and its location was erased from the maps. Jade and Floyd pop into the conversation by adding that thereâs a map the school has for them to locate the campus and that thereâs something lurking in the jungle. Grim asks what could be lurking but is interrupted by Crewelâs whip sounding throughout the room again. He silences the noisy room of students and Vargas continues. He explains that he would be chaperoning the participants and reads off the list of people that are selected for the event.
Day One Participants: Riddle, Ruggie, Sebek, Jack, Cater, Rook, Malleus and Leona
Day Two Participants: Silver, Lilia, Jamil, and Vil
Day Three Participants: Jade, Yuu, Ace, Deuce and Epel
He also ask for any volunteers to help out behind the scenes. The school also accepts help from the other schools that participate to help keep everything going smoothly.
The Volunteers: Azul, Floyd, Kalim, Idia, Trey, and Ortho
He writes down the volunteer names and tells everyone to meet at the schoolâs gates bright and early the next morning. As everyone heads out, Yuu and Grim catch the Octotrio and ask them how they know about BPC. They explain that they heard of it from stories and never thought it was real. Grim then proceedes to ask what could be lurking in the jungle and Idia chimes into the conversation. He explains that thereâs skeleton pirates said to be roaming the jungle at night and he only volunteered just so he could get a glimpse of them. Grim gulps in fear. He says heâs not going but Yuu tells him he is or else he would destroy the school (what he doesnât know is Vargas wrote him on the volunteer list)
The next morning, everyone meets at the front gates with their bags packed. Vargas instructs everyone to load up onto the bus that the town had sent. Ace asks where theyâre going and Vargas responds with the port. He explains that BPC has sent out a ship for them to sail on for them. He adds that some students of the host school will be there. Deuce asks how theyâre able to get back to the school and Lilia explains that a special map was crafted exclusively for the school to use. He adds on that the school is afraid of word getting out about it or else they would lose it. They arrive to the port and unload. A few minutes later they see a dark dot in the distance. The dot gets larger and a black pirate ship pulls up to the port. Someone on board tosses a rope out and Vargas ties it up.
The gangplank is lowered and the BPC gang walks out. Natalie greets them and asks if theyâre the NRC participants. Vargas confirms their identity and before anyone could step aboard, Silas speaks. He says heâs not letting anyone board the ship unless they prove themselves to be worthy of their vessel. Dylan asks if itâs necessary for them to do that but his answer comes in the form of two more students running down the gangplank. They stand behind Silas and Leona smirks, saying that itâs cute that these aquarium fish can challenge them. Floyd chimes in, glad to give a squeeze. Sebek says he wonât let anyone disrespect Malleus in his presence. (Battle here)
The fight ends with the NRC students being victorious. Sam asks if accepting fights is common at NRC to which Yuu replies that it is. Silas groans and says nothing else about them boarding. Once everyone boards Asher kindly tells them to place their items into the hold and get back to the deck. Once thatâs done, Natalie starts giving out jobs for everyone. Ace gets upset and asks why theyâre being assigned to work. Lo pops in with an answer that no one understands until Dylan translates it to the gist. Since thereâs more people on board then everyone needs to pitch in. Lo walks away mumbling something about a garden party. The rope is untied and they set off. A few minutes out at sea and Grim is pretty much attached to the side, feeling seasick. Yuu does their best to comfort him while Lo pops in with unnecessary advice. Grim wonders how long the trip will take and then proceeds to vomit. (Twistune here)
At dusk is when the arrive to the island. Everyone looks at the desolate landscape in awe and fear. The BPC gang isnât fazed by the sight of the abandoned town. They sail by the abandoned town and come across a massive ship. Asher lets out a call as the anchor drops and they stop next to the ship. A small gangplank is dropped from the other side and a student on their ship grabs it and steadies it. Natalie tells them to cross over and not to work about their stuff as theyâre already getting on there. Sebek yells at them for tossing Malleusâs luggage without care and piling it up with the others. One by one they all cross and meet Doveenstien and Skye. The BPC headmage greets them and welcomes them on board. Vil asks why they couldnât dock on the old port. Doveenstien explains that the wood may break from the weight of so many people and it was safer to be on board. He explains their schoolâs history and even shows them the statue of the Phantom Captain. He stresses the fact that they cannot step off board in the night as thereâs something that could get them. He lets the assistant headmage lead them to their quarters while he stays behind and collects the map from his daughter. Natalie asks why he couldnât say the truth but he claims it would be better if they didnât know.
Skye takes them to a berth thatâs big enough to hold them. She tells them to make themselves comfortable and dinner will be ready in half an hour before taking her leave. As they unpack they all talk and wonder if the skeleton pirates are true. Vil brushes off the claims of them being true and says that they donât exist. Epel asks him if heâs even afraid to which the housewarden says that he only believes what he knows is true. At dinner they all get the surprise of an eyeball floating to the top of the stew. A majority of them freak out until they here laughter from the kitchen. Sam explains that the head cook pulls this prank all the time and not to worry. He tells them that theyâre edible and cuts his open to show them the inside. Grim doesnât hesitate to eat it and says that itâs delicious. When they get back to their berth, Vargas hands out their uniforms for the event. The outfits are pirate like, coming with a sword and pistol with the color scheme being their dorm colors. They even have a bandanna with their schoolâs logo on it.
That night after everyone goes to bed, the first years wake up hearing something move through the water. They quietly leave the bearth and head to the deck. Theyâre amazed by the fog surrounding the ship and hear faint whispers from the side. They peak around the corner seeing Natalie, Lo, Dylan, Sam and Asher whispering among each other. The group is debating on whether or not to tell their guests the truth. Jack speaks up, asking them what theyâre hiding. The jump seeing the first years and play it off as nothing. Natalie tells them to get back to bed before her father sees them. Sebek, Ace, and Duece try to get them to reveal the truth but almost get caught hearing the assistant headmageâs voice. The first years quickly scatter while the BPC crew sighs in relief. Lo remarks how close that was while Dylan says itâs best for them not to know the truth.
The next morning the first event kicks off. The participants for the first event are gathered around as Doveenstien and Skye explain the rules. When it comes time to vote for their captain, Riddle gets the role. Skye hands him a map for the obstacle course and tells them to get to their ship. Ruggie asks if theyâre able to handle everything about managing a ship when Doveenstien reveals that the chores they did on their way there, were in fact practice and there would be a short manual on board for them to look at if thereâs something they need to do but donât know how to do it. As they get on board, everyone else takes their seats and the volunteers are making sure everything is ready. Grim is complaining about being on volunteer duty while Kalim tries to charge his mind on it. Isla stands on a small stage and greets everyone, and gives the rundown for everyone else. Before anything gets underway, she has her students sing their alamanta. Once thatâs done, she waves the handkerchief and the race is on. (Twistune here)
NRC encounters the ship from RSA. Before the other school can do anything, a cannonball is fired from NRCâs ship. Riddle decided to declare a fight because theyâre not losing to RSA. (Battle here). They end up victorious and sail on. They encounter the ship from BPC and they fire, even swinging over to their ship. (Battle here). As they fight they hear scrapping from the side. Everyone looks to the side a skeletal hand grabbing the side. They all stare in shock and horror as a skeleton pirate pulls itself on deck. The BPC students yell out in horror and get back to their ship. The audience just stares in horror that the rumor is true. The pirate starts swinging its sword at the NRC students while letting out demonic screeches. They know that if they need to survive, then they must fight. (Battle here). It all ends when Leona grabs it by its arm and uses his signature spell. The pirate is nothing more than a pile of sand. They lost with BPC taking the trophy. Doveenstien gathers all the staff, both visiting and not, to discuss matters.
That night in their birth they all discuss what happened during the race. Vargas comes into the room and relays to them what happened. If another incident shows up then theyâll choice but to cancel it. An argument brews over what to do to prevent it from being cancelled. For NRC, itâs a chance to beat RSA. Malleus says that he felt a surge of magic when it appeared. Leona agrees with him, though he hates doing that. Rook suggests that he goes out and scouts the island, if whoever summoned it is here then theyâll be nearby. Idia comments on how suicidal it is to go alone. Against his better judgment, he says heâll go along with him. Orthro, the Octotrio, and Yuu also agree to go.
That night they secretly left and ship and the Octotrio carry most of them, (Idia rode on his brotherâs back) to shore. They venture into the jungle and found that some of the foliage is cut down and stomped on. Rook says it mustâve been someone living as no creature or skeleton pirate could make this mess. They venture further an a swarm of them appears out of no where and circles the group. They try to fight them off but arenât strong enough. Before Yuu could get stabbed by one of them, Asher appears out of nowhere and uses his sword to block the blow. The rest of the BPC gang shows up. (Battle Here) They help them weaken them until they run away. Natalie tells them that they were stupid for coming out.
Azul points out that it was wrong of them to keep it secret and to almost let their schoolmates get killed. An argument brews until they hear a screech getting closer. They get running for the shore and use the rowboat they brought to get back. They gather in NRCâs bearth and explain the skeleton pirates history. 200 years ago, the night when the Captainâs Organ went missing was when they first showed up. The town was a lively community until the pirates wiped them clean off the face of the earth. Everytime settlers came and tried to make the town lively again, they were killed that very night. Sam says that they believe that returning the Captainâs Organ is the key to getting rid of them. Lo adds that the skeleton pirates are the Curse of the Organ. Take it away from its rightful place and youâll be hunted for eternity. Natalie says its best for them to get to bed because they need to be up early.
An hour before sunrise is when Vargas woke them up. Everyone was gathered at the main deck and loaded onto the rowboats. They went to shore and started a trek through the jungle. (Twistune here). Along the way, Grim got sidetracked by something in the brush. Before he could go investigate it, Yuu tells him to move along. Soon they arrive at an old arena. The participants for the second event go through a side door while everyone else goes through the normal doors. Once they sit down Isla goes over the rules and gives the rundown. She blows a horn and the participants draw their swords. (Twistune here).
The area within the arena changes randomly as they all fight. During the event, Sebek, Jack, Rook, Jade and Floyd go with Lo and Sam to keep an eye out for trouble. They find nothing as the final round starts. The last two standing are Lilia and Dylan. The two throw taunts at each other before the human charges at fae. (Twistune Here). Lilia ends up winning the fight. Everyone is unaware that there was a dark figure lurking in the jungle. It mumbles something about it being pathetic that there were other schools around. It adds that it will get rid of everyone else before disappearing from view. Once the trophy is given to Lilia, Doveenstien orders for them to leave and get back to the campus.
The final day of the event is when everything comes to a hand. During the night the school sailed to the bay where the last event is held. Once again, Isla gives the rundown and rules of the event. Once she fires the starter pistol, everyone dives into the water. As Yuu swims through the crystal clear water, they feel something grab ahold of their ankle. They look down to see a skeleton pirate holding on tightly. A lot of people start screaming as some participants are pulled under water, even Yuu. Floyd comes barreling out of no where and remarks what a grave mistake it is to mess with Yuu. He doesnât say Shrimpy. (Battle Here)
Floyd tells them to get to safety as he handles the anglerfish. The moment Yuu surfaces, they see a figure running into the jungle. They swim to shore and head off after the figure with the rest of the NRC participants and volunteers running off too. The BPC gang see this too and follow them. Deep in the jungle they find Silas with an angered look on his face. He yells at Natalie for not persuading her father to stop him from letting everyone else enter the event, a time honored tradition only for their school. He says he has no choice now but to rid of the intruders. He activates his signature spell, A Captainâs Noble Crew, that makes more skeleton pirates come from the jungle. He cackles at them being under his control and orders them to attack. (Battle Here)
As the rest of them fight the skeleton pirates, Lo sneaks around and takes Silas head on. He tells him that heâs the true disgrace to the school for harming their guests. To get him get him to stop he calls Parley but the other male laughs in his face. He tells Lo, he always knew he was insane. The two engage in a duel. (Battle Here)
Lo defeats Silas and ties his hands behind his back. He orders him to call off the crew and Silas knew he had no choice. Once he orders them to stop the skeleton pirates drop to bits on the jungle floor. They all take him back to the bay and tell Doveenstien and Skye everything that went on. Doveenstien thanks them for stopping Silas and tells the said male, he will discuss this later. Though they lost the event, they were all glad that the problem was dealt with for now.
The next day NRC leaves BPC and heads home, celebrating their own victory on board. (Twistune Here)

Hiya!
I must say I never looked into Eobarry because I am an absolute sucker for Halbarry. Mostly because I love when it can be fluffy and fun, all of that AND my heart can't handle angst anymore because real life's angsty enough. BUT I hear you and see the dynamic and I see how it could be so wrecked to have this man coming to the past to try and have a way in the life of a man he adores but who rejected him. Eobard's train of thoughts is basically : "I am gonna come to him by travelling to the past, wreck his life so much that I might have a part in Barry's said life and be with him in a way or another." Like. I see it so well, so thank you for this eye-opening experience.
I am soft so I probably won't let myself sail with that ship and HalBarry is my comfort OTP hahhaa but I UNDERSTAND (I mean, I didn't look that much into it so I might be off with my interpretation).
And since I love Hal and Bear (those blorbos) so much, I want them to be happy and healthy (which is kinda a weird thing to want for people that don't exist, but lemme hope for better things in real life by living precariously through characters I relate to so if they manage to get better I might get the hope for that as well. âĄ) [oops]
Take care and lots of love to you. It's really fun to hang on your Tumblr âĄ
I'm so sorry this took me so long to get around to answering, I'm afraid I just didn't have the focus to do it til now.
I love Halbarry too--you can probably tell by all the Halbarry I post. Their dynamic is incredible, the mutual trust and absolute love they have for each other really shines in every action. Including when they're roasting the hell out of each other. They're a great example of a platonic relationship that has all the earmarks of potential for a really cozy romance. And yes! Eobard wants so badly to be important in Barry's life that if he can't be the best thing to happen to him, he'll be the worst. I think half of the appeal of Eobarry, as things stand in canon, is the tragedy of it. The way it's doomed before it even starts. It's the worst thing that will ever happen to either of them, and it seems as if there's just no way to prevent it.
It's also just fascinating because it's so heavily rooted in time travel--the instigating event which happens at the end of their relationship from Barry's perspective, and at the beginning from Eobard's. Can Eobard be blamed for losing his mind when he sees that he's fated to die at the hands of his idol? No. Can Barry be blamed for killing Eobard in self defense and the defense of others? No. Eobarry's one of those ships where if it were to become canon in the sense of Barry giving in and being with Eobard, the way that Eobard wants (when he doesn't want to kill Barry or be Barry...) I'd riot. I'm glad you're enjoying yourself, take care and I hope things get better for you!

A Rambling Post about the way Lyrical Music is used in Phantasy Star Online
Cool let's get started.
youtube
When you start a new character, or if you wait on the title screen, this will play.
It's a song that swells with hope for...well, a whole new world. That's the general plot of Phantasy Star Online, which starts the After Unification War timeline. We've messed up our home planet, Earth Coral and we're sailing the sea of stars to find a new one.
However, I wouldn't say that The Whole New World only represents the planet Ragol as a hope for continued human civilization in-setting. I'd argue that it also represents Phantasy Star Online's bold push to bring online multiplayer gameplay to the living room, albeit this is perhaps a retrospective view that would not have been as visible at the time.
The lyrics are definitely compact - just two verses of four lines each.
Innumerable stars Won't tell us where to go It's a long, long run To the palace in the sun
With hopes and dreams Our ship will cross the sea To the whole new world Shining like a pearl The whole new world
Which is itself an interesting comparison to the ending theme of Episode 1, Can Still See the Light. This theme has a few variants - one in which the lyrics are replaced with "la-la-la" vocalizations, an instrumental piano, and later a wind orchestra variant.
However, I'd like to talk about the lyrical one.
youtube
Contrasting The Whole New World in a few ways, Can Still See the Light has a lot to say. Take, for instance, the opening two verses.
Wish for peace Wish for dreams Wish for love You are gone Without saying goodbye
Starry sky I can still see the light You've saved And I think of you tonight Soon the dawn will come again What have I got What has it cost me
...So we've clearly moved on from the hopeful ship that set sail from Coral. This talks about the wishes that are held, or perhaps were once held...and begins talking about the sacrifices that were made in order to make them real.
It talks about those innumerable stars. How they're still visible, and how the singer thinks of the person who made that possible for her. But, she questions the price of seeing another day.
I can feel you are near Within me, outer space Here and there Tell me please How much we have to bleed When we'll get the land of dreams After lonely bitter days
Here, she's saying she knows she hasn't lost this person she's singing about - not entirely, she still feels the subject of the song is with her; yet she begs an answer, which I'd argue it seems she doesn't believe she'll get. How long? How much? What do we have to give to make it all the way?
Why must I do it alone?
It's really the "after lonely bitter days" line that makes me think...she knows she's talking to empty air.
Lastly, the song closes with a somber refrain of the questions above; about the price of a new day. Except on the final refrain, the singer asks it directly.
Why can I still see the light You've saved Though you are now out of sight Soon the dawn will come again But what have I got What has it cost me
With this one word changed, from now to why, we change the entire framing of the verse. She no longer seems happy - if indeed she ever was - that she can see the light of a new dawn. Instead, she's asking a hopeless question.
Why is she still here?
Phantasy Star Online's second episode doesn't get a new opening theme - it reuses The Whole New World, which admittedly does hint at a deeper level of the plot. As we move in to and finish Episode 2, however, we are awarded a new ending theme to chain things together - World With Me.
youtube
This song pleads. Gently. Softly. Entreating the listener to stay and weather the storm together.
It opens with verses saying how the singer understands your feelings of unease, how you feel overwhelmed. And understands answers where a prospective listener to the song is saying it's too much, too hard - they can't let it go.
And she assures you, gently, that you have to. Nothing lasts forever. Nothing's going to remain the same. So all we can do is believe, and choose to keep living, right?
The entire understanding of World With Me is that, you are someone's forever. You are someone's want. You are something to someone.
It's fairly generically 2000s, I think, as far as the song itself goes as a standalone. Telling you not to give up, to believe in love, that nothing is permanent so you have to keep holding on. It's pretty standard feel-good-and-stay-motivated talk, right?
I think, though, that it's important in the context it's provided in. Phantasy Star Online is not a game with a lot of hope. You save the world but kill the girl. You have to overthrow the government just a little bit. All of your heroes are dead and a solid quarter to a third of the monsters you've been fighting were once people who are now horribly mutated by the ancient evil that was sealed on the planet the game takes place on. You're trapped in a time loop that will ultimately end in your failure and the ravaging of the universe.
And you are being asked to hold on and keep fighting. To believe that help is on the way - that it is possible to be saved as you stand alone against all of this.
Lastly, I am going to double back a bit for one more "lyrical track" that does a great job at being what it is.
youtube
This is the theme of the final boss of Episode 1. It does not have recognizable lyrics. There is a sound in the background that is representing lyrics which starts about 70 seconds in. However, it is not strictly legible as anything other than some sort of background choir.
You are not meant to know what this is, or what it is saying. You are facing an unstoppable, soul-devouring, reality-warping force of destruction that has you in its own personal arena that it designed just to fight and kill you.
Everything about this fight is meant to unsettle you, but the addition of uncanny valley not-quite-lyrics?
I did have to throw this in as an honorable mention.

âlive in the game and DIE in it.â
@fatewoven ( My Father taught me chess, and yet I know no strategy, have guided no army. I cannot undergo this trial. I am unworthy, by my own admission, to be The Heart Of The Gate. )
Itâs been some time since Gortash was âinvitedâ here.
A knee to the gut. The chainlink metal twine binding Gortashâs hands to the wall shakes. It feels like kicking a dog away that just tried to hump your leg. The warmth and softness of the underbelly. The guilt and fear that comes with kicking a sack filled with pliable, gravy jello and chicken ribsâthe heaviness of a gut on your leg, not like a wooden coffee table biting your shin back in the dead of night, but all of the unknown shock of horror of oh no, the dog is so small, and weak, and heâs real, real, real, and shaking as he snakes away from my boot. Before he even does it, Wyll imagine a yelping whine that may never come, and would offer him no satisfaction.
And yet Wyll doesnât back down. He swallows the guilt like the poison in Gortashâs words. A hand on his throat, the swell of his Adamâs apple trapped beneath the pale of his thumb. Wyll never did much care for proper breathplay. And yet, this is such a practiced gesture, now. Itâs only the setting thatâs truly different. And the company.
Two Flaming Fists watch on. Mikael and âLongshot.â Big, burly brutes, but silent types. Wyll has forgone his private guard with Gortash for months now. Theyâve made fun of The Flaming Fist together. Talked, dreamed of Gortashâs new, improved, lawful Good Steel Watch. Knights of Wyllâs round table. The Blades of Baldurâs Gate while he could not be. Beautiful things, beautiful stories. Shining Knights on White Horses, crests of sails swimming in golden waves on their shield. A glorious future. Wyll had let himself believeâŚ
He doesnât scream. His breath is heavy as his steel-toed boot on Gortashâs toes. He brings his other hand up, and smashes Gortashâs whole head into his knee.
This is not an interrogation anymore. This is a punishment. For making Wyll believeâ
âLetâs talk about the game.â Did you know in Hit New RPG, Baldurâs Gate 3, the daring, dashing, oh-so-valiant, noble and perfect Wyll Ravengard wonât fuck you until marriage?
âYour game.â Did you know he approves if you make a silly, evil little goblin kiss your feet?
He knots his hand in Gortashâs greasy hair. Itâs not for lack of personal care, or at least by choice.
Gortash has been down here three days.
Did you know he approves? If you let the goblin prisoner die to a crossbow in a cage?
âYou knew this would happen. Why did youâwhy did you lie? I knew those tieflings! You knew them! They were refugees, innocent, they were just drunk and hungry and stupid andââ
He shakes him by his head like a limp ragdoll. âIâve been fixing your mess for three days! Answer me!â Help me, help me, I donât know how to move the pieces, I always forget what the pieces do, how does the knight move, how do I get the little white pony to the other side of the board, I only know how to use the pawns, the pawns, youâre taking all my pawns, no fair, no fair, letâs go spar again, thatâs much more funâ
âI donât want you here, Enver. Youâre supposed to be, myâŚ.â He trails off. But no. He wasnât. Whatever Wyll was about to say, he really, really wasnât.

Tobermory Bay
John Douglas Sutherland Campbell
In the vapour and haze on the ocean,  Where the skies and the waters meet, There's a form that drifts, phantom-like, onward  As it follows the grey clouds' feet.
O'er the sea come the winds and the billows, Â And they howl to the rocks, and they cry, They will bring them a wreck on the morrow, Â Ere the joy of the tempest die.
The shade looming dark in the distance  Is naught but a galleon proud; And the spray has long battered her turrets,  And loosened each yard and each shroud;
But not on the surf-beaten islands, Â Nor yet upon Morven's land, Does she drive, for her rudder, unshattered, Â Is firm in the steersman's hand.
No mist wreath, no cloud, was the shadow  That moved on the height of the seas; Like a castle how steep are her bulwarks,  Her spars like a forest of trees!
She is safe from the gales for a season, Â In the shelter and calm of the sound; A harbour named after the Virgin, Â The "Well of Our Lady" she found.
She may rest in that haven, hill-girdled,  Near the shade of the woods on the shore, Where the hush of the forest is deepened  By the waterfall's song evermore.
How grandly her masts rise to heaven,  How glitters the blest Mary's form, High placed o'er the stern, and upholding  The Prince of our Peace through the storm!
Now waters their orisons murmur  As they fold her bright robes to their breast, Where they mirror the galleried windows,  And the flag and the face of the Blest.
Again with that sign and the banner  Of the gold and the crimson of Spain, Shall this ship front the foes of the Virgin,  And the English be chased from the Main.
Yes, again on the heretic Saxon  Her cannon shall thunder in scorn, Till in triumph through insolent England  Shall the Faith and King Philip be borne.
But the rows of dark mouths that have spoken  Defiance with sulphurous breath, Glisten black, stretching forth in the silence,  And in vain ask the presence of death.
Yes, repose and surcease of all hazard,  A truce to all war for a time! The cliffs and the pines only echo  The laugh of a sunnier clime.
And gaily the dark-visaged seamen  Quaff, cursing the mists and the rain; Gravely drinking from goblets of silver  Sits their chief, Don Fereija of Spain.
But the souls of the men to whose nostrils  Had risen the smoke of the fight, Soon tired of the shore and of slumber,  Soon yearned for the red battle light.
And courtesy fled from the weary,  From idleness arrogance grew; And all they received as a favour  They haughtily claimed as their due.
Then answered the Islesmen in anger,  "The food you demand as your own, By our people's free favour long given  Shall be bought by your gold now alone."
"Now, down with the savage's envoy, Â Set sail and away on our track! Carthagena's sweet girls shall deride him, Â And jeer the red locks on his back."
Below, in the dark narrow spaces, Â The Islesman gropes, down in the hold; Unnoticed, and one among many; Â What harm can his hatred unfold?
Swarm the men to the rigging, and swiftly  Shine clouds of white canvas, and clank The links of the anchor's great cable,  Creaks, trampled on deck, every plank:
Swings round the huge bowsprit, and slowly  With motion majestic and free, The galleon, vast, gilded, and mighty,  Passes on, passes forth, to the sea.
Her colours still paint all the ripples,  Repeated her banners all seem, Her sails, and her gold, and her cannon  Float on like a gorgeous dream.
Came a flash, and a roar, and a smoke-cloud  Rushed up, and spread far o'er the sky; Sank a wreck, black, and rugged, and blasted,  While the sound on the winds swept by.
And the mountains sent back the dull thunder  As though to all time they would tell The vengeance that pealed to the Heavens  From the Harbour of "Mary's Well."
