i truly truly will never stop being tickled by how law's braincell count just plummets into the negatives whenever he's around luffy and kid SPECIFICALLY at the same time. like if it's one or the other he copes more or less just fine. kid's a shit-starter but he's predictable and easy (and fun) to rile up. luffy runs on baffling logic but he's fundamentally easy to get along with so long as you maintain your zen and understand that he usually doesn't MEAN to get under anybody's skin. separately they aggravate law in different ways. but when they're together kid's penchant for starting dickswinging contests (or inability to not take the bait of one) collides with luffy unhesitatingly answering with a one-up that no sane person would conceive of and what the hell is law supposed to do against THAT fuckin wombo combo. get left behind and called a bitch for it? not goddamn LIKELY!!

ok this is the first time ive ever had to do this but I really need the help right now. i know its going to be hard to get the full amount in the time that I have but any help would benefit me so greatly. i am putting the explanation under the cut as it is very long but TLDR:

I got into the film school of my dreams on a scholarship, but student finance will not pay for the full course fee because my university is independent, (£20k, SF can only pay £14.4k) so I have to pay the remaining fee (£5.6k) by June 1st. I cannot graduate if I don't pay this fee and I am under 2 months away from graduating. all evidence and explanation is under the cut.

I have been studying filmmaking for 2 years at university and I am 2 months away from graduating. I got into this university through a scholarship that reduced the standard course fee in half. Usually, Student Finance/the government will pay for these course fees, but because my university is private, they are unable to pay the fee in full. My course costs £20k and Student Finance will pay £14,400 of this. This means I have to pay £5,600.

Here is the evidence and proof that I did get into my university on a scholarship and what my university offers in terms of fees:

I have been looking for financial support for 2 years (before I even started attending but had a confirmed place) and it has not been enough. I have contacted my local authority for years about the grant I am entitled to as a foster care leaver and the most I could receive was £2,000 that ended up going to paying my gas and electric bills.

I have also gone to many charities to ask them for support and many of the responses I got were "go to your local authority". I did find one charity that was willing to help me but the sponsors of the charity decided that I would receive a laptop and they would pay for the travel costs to my university for a year instead. I am eternally grateful for that but now I have nowhere else to go for this.

I would really appreciate any help I am already having a extremely hard time dealing my current eviction and I am on the verge if being homeless I would just like to get something off my back and I would rather graduate and get this over with. I am still actively working to find places that are willing to help me but in the time that I have now I would appreciate it if I could get something in the meantime.

Can you imagine being Ghastly though. Being told by your own mother for years that your closest friend, the person you've given so much care and effort to, would eventually find someone else. That he'd eventually end up taking a black-haired girl as his partner. Being told that this girl would die at eighteen. Your mother explicitly telling you to not pass this information on to Skulduggery. Can you imagine that being your life.

First just having to grapple with the idea that you might not be good enough for your friend is already so, so fucking awful. And Ghastly would have had to spend his life being worried at any black-haired girls he was meeting. Wondering if she's the one. And then his mother DIED. Guidance, who's that?

And then imagine the war's been over for a while. You're going about your day as normal. And then your friend comes in with a black-haired girl in tow, saying she wants to come along. She doesn't know. Skulduggery doesn't know. She's twelve, no way should she be doing this. And worst of all, she's the niece of a now-dead mutual friend of yours. It would feel like getting hit with a fucking truck.

And you try to warn her. You really do. But she's young and doesn't care. And so you just have to live like that from there on out. You have to watch this little girl grow up, you have to help her, train her, raise her, knowing that she's going to die one day very soon. You just have to try and ignore it. You have to watch Skulduggery's extremely unhealthy relationship with her and you just have to be normal about that.

And then she turns eighteen, and a war breaks out and Darquesse is coming very soon, and you just have to be fine and normal about that. Hope that your mother was wrong and everything turns out alright.

And then you die. And you have to die knowing that she's going to die too. That you won't even be there to see it.

And then you wake up. It's been eight years. She's twenty-six now. Still alive. Still hanging out with Skulduggery. The energy of your interactions is different, but you can't tell if that's because some part of her really did die when she was eighteen or if you're the one who's changed.

And you just need to live like that.

I just remembered that up until 5th grade, all of the sports teams I was in weren't separated by gender. I played basketball and baseball with boys. And we did just fine.

It wasn't until 6th grade when they segregated it by gender. It didn't make sense to me. I was now in softball instead of baseball, because "softball is for girls" and "baseball is for boys" (which confused me bc my dad was on an adult softball team).

Now, my brother's all-male team didn't win a single game. My all-girls team won every single one.

They presented the boys' team with this HUGE trophy, and if you wanted replicas of it, they were $30 each.

My team was presented with a very small trophy. Extras were $5.

That's when I decided gender-segregated sports were bullshit.
