Two days ago, a lawfirm filed a federal antitrust suit against 6 commercial publishers (including Elsevier & Wiley) in the federal district court in New York.

Yes, there is! Meet Scrambledfur!

Scrambledfur was a River Colony healer, but really did some awful things as one. From not really caring for sickly cats to faking prophecies and omens to get a corrupt leader in power, he was in no way a good healer. The only thing keeping him in the colony was that he was an astonishingly good healer, just never used his skills to help the colony, only to help with whatever he wanted. Hence, why he went in the Dark Forest.

Here's some of his main family members!

They are all not very fond of him. All of them dont have good memories with him. But hey, at least he's dead and totally not haunting anyone, right?

(re: reblog tags on the nimona post) so. i went back and found the boy. the lad. my editing white whale. the trajectory went like this: friends and i had been talking in a groupchat about idris elba being cast as knuckles circa 2021 and the subsequent quick resurgence of people outright admitting they’d sick nasty bang a fictional echidna if they could, so i made this edit in response to that line of conversation:

admittedly. this was my first mistake. i then expanded on it (second mistake) by editing knuckles into a pre-existing animal crossing meme (it had been a callback to a previous conversation in the chat)

(i think i acc submitted the compressed version to this blog once ive put it below for continuity reasons but cannae remember for sure ANYWAY)

so then a friend in this chat says ‘eurgh hate how this looks like that one rayman 3 advert’ and i go ‘…bwah?’ find the ad, laugh my ass off, rush to my editing software and produce THIS monstrosity in a blackout fugue state. it’s the most unsustainable edit ive ever made so glad for it to see the light of day even once more as it likely never will again. i gave him the froggy footstool bc he was too manlet to reach the urinal comfortably and i thought it was better than making him huge or stretched out so! w/o further ado i present: ✨knuckles_pissing_shortly.jpeg✨

Science Fair Follies

There's a Mad Scientist Convention in town and Mario, Luigi, Amitie, Sig and Floyd are helping E. Gadd with an experiment he'll be running there. Luigi's there because he's E. Gadd's mentee, Amitie and Sig are there because they wanted to help Luigi(well, Amitie wanted to help Luigi, Sig wanted to help Amitie help Luigi)[, Floyd's there because the experiment is ghost-related and she's the test subject, and Mario was promised food if he helped set things up. Sage is also there because of her dad. The start of the episode is just the expected mad scientist jokes, but then Susie Halmann shows up with the Haltmann Works Co's latest product, at which point it's revealed that she and the Professor have an intense rivalry. Also Floyd is wary of her, which is understandable considering what happened the last time she encountered an SMG4 universe version of one of her reformed villain friends back home.

One thing leads to another and the two scientists get into an inventing duel that wrecks the convention hall and gets them both banned from future conventions. While the main group just brushes it off as another wacky adventure, Susie ends up stewing in her frustration all the way home, where she finds out that there was a package delivered while she was out. Said package is a large crate with a picture of an old tv with a hat and bowtie stamped on the side, and inside she finds the broken, scorched pieces of a too-large-to-be-practical circuit board, glowing an ominous red...
