In spite of the unexpected pregnancy, Saffron managed to graduate from culinary school with an A average and a glowing recommendation from Chef Bob Pancakes.
Of course, Dani is convinced it's all because of them praying over Saffron's womb during that final stretch of exams. "This baby is going to be a third generation culinary genius, I can already feel it."

Omg I absolutely love the little drabble you wrote! I’d love to hear you ramble about Avery and the oc
thank you so much for enabling me god bless
oh i should preface this whole thing with a big old trigger warning for pregnancy and miscarriage talk
alright so! let's start with the oc. her name is saffron elwood, and she was college sweethearts with toshi. they both knew they were going to break up at graduation, so they both were very much focused on the now together. like, this was all they were going to get with each other, so they should make the most of it.
saffron called toshinori "toshi" obviously and toshi called her "saffy". they were DISGUSTINGLY cutesy. my sincerest apologies to dave for having to put up with the both of them.
anyways. they were great together, but like they knew was going to happen, they broke up at graduation and toshi went home. little did either of them know at the time- saffron was pregnant. when she found out, she was torn- of course she was still keeping in touch with toshi, they might've broken up but not because of any real conflict between them. but they had just broken up because toshi was afraid she'd get hurt because of him. and she didn't want him to think she was trying to guilt him into coming back, nor did she want him to give up or put his dreams on hold for her.
so... she didn't tell him. she was torn on what to do her whole pregnancy. dave and his then-girlfriend (who would later become his wife) helped her out tremendously as emotional support, though dave really, really hated how she wasn't telling toshi about this.
her baby was going to be a girl, and saffron had decided on the name "anna" for her, kind of a little nod to toshi's mentor/mother figure, nana. and in the end, saffron had resolved to tell toshi about her pregnancy. then she found out she'd miscarried at 7 months.
to say saffron was devastated would be an understatement. saffron was so, SO ready and excited to be a mother, with or without toshi in her life. she dealt with a lot of grief, depression and self loathing in the wake of her miscarriage, and that self loathing led her to never telling toshi after all. she felt this was her burden to carry, since she blamed herself and her body for anna's death.
during this time, saffron met the man who would become her husband. i have not named him so if anyone's got suggestions, im all ears. her relationship with him helped her through the worst of it, and they got married. toshi attended the wedding and pretended like his heart wasn't breaking. after this, toshi and saffron do start to drift apart. by the time mha begins, they haven't spoken in 10 years.
i should preface this part with the fact that saffron and her husband were genuinely happy in the beginning and everything im about to say takes place over like. years and years.
anyways. saffron and her husband tried many, many times to have kids. saffron miscarried every time, and it took a toll on her. but her husband kept insisting that this time it would work out, this time their child would make it, just...not really accepting that saffron did not want to try anymore. she'd rather adopt children than put herself through this pain and guilt over and over again. her husband had this really weird thing about their kids being their biological children, though- every time she brought up adoption, he'd shoot it down. she ended up getting her tubes tied in secret so she could never get pregnant and suffer through that loss again.
saffron had been thrown into a pretty deep depression because of all of this, and ended up going to therapy and being prescribed depression meds. she slowly started to get better- this is the part she always stresses when she tells this story (which isn't often). she was getting better. but her depression meds made her gain weight, and suddenly her husband wouldn't touch her anymore. wouldn't look at her the way he used to. he'd assure her that of course he still loved her, of course he still found her sexy.
but it still didn't surprise her all that much when she found him in bed with another woman.
so, saffron got her ass out of there. she divorced him, cut all ties with him, even as he begged and pleaded for her to take him back.
and the day her divorce was finalized, saffron started the paperwork on adopting a child. she had wanted to be a mother for years, and goddamnit, she was going to be one.
obviously, avery turned out to be that kid. she was 8 years old when saffron adopted her, and had given up on being adopted, because avery was quirkless.
( a nasty byproduct of quirked society is that kids with good quirks get adopted more often than kids with weak quirks. kids who are quirkless seldom get adopted at all )
however, it took very little time to saffron to decide to adopt her- not out of any sense of pity, but because she could just feel in her bones that she and avery were meant to be family.
avery is in the same year as izuku & co, and she very much likes to give off tough, cool girl vibes. she played hockey back in the states (and is desperately trying to get a team set up at ua), and is currently throwing herself into computer studies and learning programming and stuff. see, avery never planned on going to ua for the hero course, because the hero course wouldn't teach her what she wanted to learn. the kind of hero she wants to be is someone like oracle, from dc comics. a cool hacker with all the intel, who can direct the flow of battle even though she's far from it physically.
anyways, avery wants to go to ua, so saffron and avery move to japan before avery's last year in middle school. guess which middle school she goes to for that third year. guess.
of course avery attaches herself to izuku immediately- besides her godsister melissa, he's the only other quirkless kid she's met. avery also has a strong sense of justice and no qualms about getting into fights with bullies, even if it does give her mother a headache.
it's through avery's friendship with izuku that saffron and toshi finally reconnect, and eventually rekindle their relationship. as saffron tells him later, "you have no idea... you're so easy to love, toshi."
OH ALSO LAST THING but saffron's quirk is Mend: she can undo a specific amount of time on an object, which frequently just looks like fixing or cleaning something.
#anyways. here is The Lore#jesus this got long#tw pregnancy#tw miscarriage#oc: saffron elwood#oc: avery elwood#mha oc

Sallow 7!
Felt inspired to draw their kids after writing Avian’s bio
I have this hc that her and Seb have alot of kids together, number 1 because they have no self control when it comes to each other and number 2 because they either lost or didn’t have many family members growing up so building a family was important for them. Almost gave them 8 kids but Sallow Seven had a nice ring to it.
Kid 1: Xanthe Sallow
Basically Sebastian if he was a lesbian. Same charismatic and charming personality during her time at Hogwarts she ended up causing many of the other students to question their sexuality. Her and Hebe are the only children to have the mixed hair color from their parents.
Child 2: Septima Sallow
Out of all the children her personality is most similar to Avian’s, protective and will fight you. She is most close with Strachan. The two of them are most passionate about the family business and dedicate their time after Hogwarts raiding poacher camps to save beasts.
Child 3: Strachan Sallow
Avian nearly got killed in battle while pregnant with him prompting her and Seb to step away from the auror lifestyle and take over brood and peck. Loves magical beasts, because the family own brood and peck he became an expert in beast care. Works for the family business after Hogwarts and gets himself in danger with Septima fighting poachers.
Child 4: Hebe Sallow
Black sheep of the family, lives for Herbology, idolizes professor Garlick. Only one to get sorted into Hufflepuff. Very sweet and lovely. Put her in a battle with the right plants though and she can be lethal.
Child 5: Demetrius Sallow
The only one with his mother’s hair color. Quiet and studious. Like his father when he was in school he is fascinated by the dark arts, and shares the same pastime of breaking into the restricted section and dueling. Out of all the children he is the closest with Ominis.
Child 6 and 7: Saffron (Saffy) and Sage Sallow
The babies of the family. Ave and Seb thought they were done after child number 5 but when her anti-pregnancy charm unknowingly wore off it didnt take her long to get pregnant again, hence the twins were born 8 years apart from the rest of the children. Hebe insisted on naming them after plants.
#This is getting ridiculous I feel like i'm in middle school again#please help me#but also dont because this is too much fun#hogwarts legacy#sebastian sallow x mc#hogwarts legacy fanart#hogwarts legacy oc#hogwarts legacy headcanons#hogwarts legacy fanfic

வையகம்/ Vaiyakam (The World) Taking inspiration from a Tamil ritual for pregnant women, we have arrived at the next Tarot card series installment - The World. The வளைகாப்பு is a ritual that is pretty common among Tamil and Telugu people irrespective of religion. Popularly understood to be a ‘baby shower’, the Vaḷaikāppu is performed during the 5th, 7th, or 9th month of the mother-to-be’s first pregnancy (usually). Traditionally it is performed after the சீமந்தம் (Cīmantam) which is held by the father’s side of the family. After the Cīmantam, the Vaḷaikāppu is performed by the mother’s side of the family, following which she will leave for her parents’ place to prepare for the birth. The highlight of this ritual is its namesake- the father will bless the expectant mother with a mixture of rose water and saffron, smear a paste of sandalwood on her cheeks and hands, and put on bangles on her hands. After the father, family and friends will follow with the same, one after another. Apart from these, customs vary with family, region and religion. It is important to note that the bangles may be made of different materials- neem leaves, gold, and most commonly, glass. The common reason for choosing glass is that since the baby starts hearing sounds by 24 weeks (7 months), the clinking of the glass bangles helps stimulate the fetus’ hearing development. There is also another idea that according to Siddha medicine, the bangles stimulate pressure points in the arms, aiding in the health of the mother and the fetus. Psychologically speaking, the Vaḷaikāppu ceremony is also said to ease the expectant mother’s worries and anxieties regarding the birth. With this piece, I tried to do the original design more justice, hence the Cherubim and the garland. All that said, this piece was a challenge and I'm glad it came out as well as it did. #leanderscribbles#tamil#tamilliterature#sangam#tamilartist#tamilart#lineart#strength#folkreligion#southindian#asian#tarot#tarotart#divination#occult#spirituality https://www.instagram.com/p/ClvHpD5hFPE/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

A Healthy Pregnancy Journey with Kashmiri Saffron
Embarking on the journey of pregnancy is a remarkable chapter in a woman’s life, filled with anticipation, joy, and a strong desire to ensure the best for both the mother and the developing baby. During this transformative period, the importance of maintaining a balanced and nourishing diet cannot be overstated. One exceptional ingredient that has captured attention for its potential benefits during pregnancy is the precious Kashmiri saffron. Known for its vibrant hue, delicate aroma, and numerous health properties, Kashmiri saffron has been embraced by many as a natural addition to the pregnancy diet.
The Nutritional Richness of Kashmiri Saffron
Kashmiri saffron, sourced from the picturesque valleys of the Himalayas, is revered not only for its culinary allure but also for its impressive nutritional content. It contains a host of essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin B6, vitamin C, iron, magnesium, and potassium. These nutrients play a vital role in supporting the overall health and well-being of both the expectant mother and the developing baby.
Iron Boost: Iron deficiency is a common concern during pregnancy, leading to anemia. Kashmiri saffron’s iron content helps in maintaining healthy hemoglobin levels, reducing the risk of anemia and ensuring optimal oxygen supply to the growing fetus.
Immune Support: The high levels of antioxidants found in saffron, including crocin and safranal, aid in boosting the immune system, protecting both the mother and the baby from potential illnesses.
Mood Enhancement: Pregnancy hormones can often lead to mood swings and anxiety. Kashmiri saffron is believed to have mood-enhancing properties, potentially alleviating feelings of stress and promoting emotional well-being.
Digestive Aid: Many pregnant women experience digestive discomfort. Saffron’s carminative properties can assist in easing digestive issues and preventing bloating.
Incorporating Kashmiri Saffron into the Pregnancy Diet
Saffron-Infused Beverages: A cup of warm saffron milk can become a nightly ritual, providing relaxation and enhancing sleep quality. The soothing properties of saffron help in combating insomnia, which is common during pregnancy.
Nutrient-Rich Meals: Adding a pinch of saffron to soups, stews, and rice dishes not only imparts a subtle flavor but also introduces its nutritional benefits into daily meals.
Sweet Treats: Saffron can be used to elevate desserts and baked goods, offering a touch of luxury while contributing to overall well-being.
Herbal Teas: Combining saffron with other pregnancy-friendly herbs like chamomile or ginger can create flavorful and healthful teas to ease pregnancy discomforts.
A Word of Caution
While Kashmiri saffron can offer an array of benefits, it’s essential to exercise moderation. Excessive consumption should be avoided during pregnancy, as with any ingredient. Consulting a healthcare professional before introducing any new food or supplement into the diet is highly recommended, especially for pregnant women.
Conclusion
The journey through pregnancy is a transformative experience that calls for careful attention to both the mother’s and baby’s well-being. Kashmiri saffron, with its nutritional richness and potential health benefits, can play a positive role in this journey. From supporting iron levels to boosting immunity and promoting emotional balance, saffron’s unique properties make it a valuable addition to a well-rounded pregnancy diet. Remember, every pregnancy is different, and seeking guidance from healthcare providers is essential to ensure the healthiest outcome for both mother and child.

C10 [Sage]
Sage and Prince Auguro are scouting the beach on the south end of the island. Their horses whinny nervously, not wanting to follow the creature in front of them but plodding forward anyways, their blue-black hooves sinking into the sand. Rose is the walking along the surf, her little fox feet leaving footprints that blossom with mosses, her antlers glowing in the midday sun as if made of glass.
It has been three months since Rose and Sage had woken up together in the grass. Sage had since returned with Rose and Prince Auguro to the palace, and Prince Auguro had wasted little time in promoting Sage and Rose’s positions. It was less a “palace” now than it was an extravagant temple for Rose. Every room had been remade under Sage’s directions and Rose’s discretion, although Rose has initially tried to reject Prince Auguro’s plans. While he and Rose had still not made their binding vow, Prince Auguro had become incensed when he had heard Rose’s past and her reasons for running away. Together with Sage, they had convinced Rose to stay on the island and use her magic within the limits of her comfort.
Rose had initially agreed to this, but pregnancy had other plans for her body. This current excursion was a manifestation of Rose’s unstable magic; she had simply transformed at the breakfast table when taking a sip of honey and saffron coffee, and her body had carried her to this southern beach. Rose could remember what her body did during these fugues, but more in blurred images and overflowing feelings rather than a concrete narrative of what she did. Prince Auguro theorized that Rose’s instincts were heightened during pregnancy, and that these excursion were her primal mind trying to find a place to give birth. Sage worried that these moments of dissociation were a sign that Rose’s overflowing spiritual energy and her constant repression of herself were tearing her apart. These episodes were becoming more frequent and longer as Rose’s belly grew.
“Sage. She’s laying in the estuary.” Prince Auguro snaps Sage out his thoughts. Sage looks up, and Rose has laid with her back to the river’s current, the silt and sand rushing over her body. Rose’s wings grow, cumulus clouds full of energy and crackling with electricity as water runs over them. Both horses refuse to move forward, sweat running down their bellies. Prince Auguro dismounts, and he rushes to collect the water that has run over Rose’s body. Sage rushes over to Rose instead, kneeling in the water near her head.
“Briar Rose, can you hear me?” Sage touches her face, wishing her eyes would open. But Rose seems to be asleep, or at least daydreaming as the estuary grows around her, the water her body displaces becoming fragrant like rose tea. Sage places a hand on her belly, and when he finds where the baby is resting inside her his hand burns as if over a fire. <<Is she trying to relieve her pregnancy fever?>>
Prince Auguro sits next to Sage. His sky-blue robes match his eyes. He holds up two glass jars, full of swirling gold ore. “Her energy is converting the silt into gold. And look.” Prince Auguro points to where the muddy water or the estuary finally blends into the blue sea. A bright kaleidoscope of colors is swirling. Rose’s overflowing energy has created a new coral reef.
Sage feels tears spring to his eyes. Part of him is overjoyed; Rose is blessing this island and it’s people with natural resources. She is doing exactly what a god is supposed to do. But part of Sage feels a mix of guilt and fear knowing that these blessings come from Rose losing control of herself. Sage wanted these blessings to come to the island because Rose wanted to bless them, not from her magic overtaking her mind and body. Sage tries to lift Rose from the water, to hold her in the hopes she wakes up. Instead, the entire earth starts to shake.
Prince Auguro grabs Sage and hauls him backwards until they both fall into the sand. Prince Auguro shields Sage with his body, a grimace on his face as the earth shakes violently. Sage closes his eyes as the sand uplifts. Prince Auguro screams as the land lurches with a sound like an explosion. “Lady Briar, please! Have mercy!”
Sage opens his eyes as the earth stills. They are no longer on the beach, but instead in a cave. Prince Auguro gasps and he bows in the moss that now supports their bodies. Rose is seated on an onyx altar, one perfectly crafted to each curve of her body. Red and vibrant green mosses grow tall, tiny flowers growing in pink clumps between the curls of the moss. The flowers emit a calming scent. A waterfall, the water pure as crystal, falls from center of the cave, it’s circular pool separating Sage and Prince Auguro from Rose’s sleeping body. The walls of the cave are slick with water, pink and blue mushroom glowing and oozing sap that smells like maple syrup. Sage feels his heart jump into his throat as he looks around the cave. <<I’m not ready. I’m not ready!>>
Prince Auguro is still praying, his face in the moss. Vines start grow and creep along his back, as if trying to caress him. Sage runs over to Rose on her onyx divan, and the same vines begin to ensnare him, too. Sage pushes the vines off his arms and touches Rose’s belly, feeling for contractions, before patting the moss under her hips. Rose opens her eyes. “Sage?”
“Rose! Are you okay? Are you hurt?” Sage lifts her up into his arms and she shrinks into her human form. Even without her natural form, her spiritual energy is spilling out: vines of cloudberries grow out of where her antlers would be. Rose’s belly is becoming round in her human form, as if she was already in her second trimester instead of barely twelve weeks into pregnancy. Sage looks into her eyes, looking for signs of pain or illness. His hands glide over her back, searching for broken bones or bruises. But Rose’s body is healthy, plush and soft. Sage can feel the baby’s heartbeat thrumming alongside her own.
“I’m okay. I…where am I?” Rose looks around. As she sees the cave she’s created, her face turns pale. “What have I done?” Rose’s hair stands on end, her hair making harsh static between its strands.
Prince Auguro finally lifts his head. “Lady Rose, your heavenly body sought out the southernmost estuary of the island in your fever, and you…” Prince Auguro takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself when he hears how fast he’s talking. “You laid in the estuary and created gold, a coral reef, and now this sweetwater cave.”
Rose reaches up to touch a cave wall. Sage’s eyes widen as he realizes each wall of the cave is made of onyx, hematite, and veins of bismuth. Rose shivers in his arms, but the cave is not cold. Sage kisses Rose’s chin and rubs her back in soothing circles. “Sweetheart? Is it time?”
Unlike human women or other mammals, sky-women did not have a set gestation time. Some sky women took four months to gestate, others took a year or more, depending on their landrace. Rose had explained to Sage that as a mountain woman, her babies could come as early as four months, or as late as eleven months. Rose herself had taken only four months growing in her mother’s womb, taking her mother by surprise during a bright spring morning.
Sage was not ready for the babies to be born. At all. Not because he wasn’t ready to be a dad; he couldn’t wait to hold his baby in his hands. But he also adored Rose and her body while she was pregnant. To him, everything about her body was made of precious metals now that she was pregnant. Sage prepared all her meals, every drink, tailored her clothes, and even refused to let Rose bathe herself. He spent hours each night bathing her, brushing camellia oil into her long hair, rubbing saffron-infused coconut oil into the expanse of her belly and thighs. On nights her body refused to stay human, Sage would wash her face and antlers with saffron milk, brush her coat with boar’s hair brushes, massage lanolin into the paw-pads and toe beans of her foxy feet until they blushed red, and brush the puff of her tail until it glistened. Sage woke up before Rose and only slept after she had found the bliss of sleep in his arms.
The only person who spoiled Rose worse than Sage was Prince Auguro. He had brought Sage only finest garments from the royal closet to give to Rose, and the best cuts of meat or vegetables went to Rose instead of the Emperor. The fruit Rose ate each morning or the mint she chewed at night were hand-harvested by Prince Auguro at sunrise. The oils, butters, creams, everything Sage used on Rose were from artisans that Prince Auguro and his mother had chosen. Prince Auguro had also personally built Rose’s public temple, brick by marble brick. Between Prince Auguro and Sage, Rose wanted for nothing; which is why her onset of fugue states had been alarming.
But with her creation of the whelping cave, Sage felt he understood her primal mind. Her instincts had been searching for a place to give birth on the island, because this was her island. Her pregnancy bound her to Sage even if they hadn’t spoken heavenly vows. From the moment her temple had been built, Rose’s presence alone had brought weekly rain, bountiful fish in the rivers, and even more game to hunt in the forest. When she worked conscious magic, like creating rice paddies along a whole hillside, Rose often clutched her left eye. That was her shoving her instincts aside, packing her spiritually energy back inside herself until it couldn’t be contained by her small body, a dam trying to hold back a flood only to become a river twice as strong.
Sage kisses Rose’s heart-space again. “Sweetheart, did you hear me? Is it time?”
Prince Auguro steps forward, careful never to touch Rose’s body. “Lady Briar, if it’s time, I can have staff brought at once. Whatever your body craves, I will make sure you have it.”
“Oh ho ho. Are humans really so excited for the first birth of mongrels in a thousand years?” A harsh and haughty voice interrupts Prince Auguro.
Prince Auguro is fast. He whips around his rifle in a blink, aiming at the voice as naturally as one would take a breath. The silver bullet pierces a scaled shoulder, making its owner howl in pain. Prince Auguro’s eyes are wide with rage rather than fear. “No one speaks to Lady Briar that way!”
“Human trash with their little apocalypse toys!” The slimy, green-gilled sky-man leaps at Prince Auguro’s gun. Unlike sky-women, who were always radiant in their beauty, sky-men could be handsome or horrifically ugly. This man was so ugly, a pimpled hog could be called handsome in comparison. What he lacks in looks he makes up for in weight, sleek and fat like an elephant seal. “Always gawking at women who aren’t theirs!”
Prince Auguro sidesteps, but before any bodies make contact, Rose’s heavenly vines emerge from the earth. Roses of all colors with thorns like tiger’s claws hold and dig into the sky-man. “Rahab. How is the Caspian Sea treating you?” Rose sounds smug, almost cocky, and Sage feels his skin crawl. He doesn’t allow Rose to wiggle out of his arms, and he keeps Rose away from the sea monster.
“Rose, we need to get you back to the palace.” Sage kisses her jaw, hating the way he can feel her teeth grinding. Her reaction proves his suspicion; this is one of the ocean men Rose was afraid would find her if she began to use her magic.
Rahab giggles and the sound reminds Sage of an oinking pig. “Is that what you’re called now, baby goddess?”
Rose growls and before Sage can react, her body has left his arms and roundhouse kicked Rahab from her cave. Rose is gone in a blink, and he and Prince Auguro exchange wide-eyed glances before sprinting outside.
Rose looks like a cherub, golden and tiny, holding a spear up to a giant sea dragon. Prince Auguro and Sage raise their guns, but Rose holds up one delicate, soft hand. “He isn’t strong enough to hurt me.”
“Baby goddess, always so cocky. Lord Leviathan will put you in your place!” Rahab tries to launch himself at Rose, but she simply steps to the side, her hair flowing in the breeze. Rose doesn’t flinch as Rahab launches sea water at her like shuriken; she walks forward confidently, her ice magic blocking each projectile and turning them into helpless snowflakes. The white freckles across her nose glow like embers. More ice flies up from the sand, skewering Rahab.
“Do you really think Leviathan will heal you, if you take me to him? He’s never healed a man; why would he start now?” Rose jumps onto Rahab’s face, stomping one delicate gold foot into his beady eye. He growls in pain, thrashing his giant head, but Rose doesn’t fall. She stomps out his other eye, holding onto his knobby, potato-like horns.
“Even if he doesn’t heal me, there’s no way he’d keep me in that dying sea. I’d be able to see real water again; just like when I came to find you. And if it isn’t me, it’ll be someone else, over and over until you’re brought back kicking and screaming to fulfill your duties as a mountain goddess.” Rahab laughs.
“I am no one’s broodmare. This is my island because I chose it, and I decide when I leave it.” Rose twists off one of the huge, knobby horns that grows like a wart out of Rahab’s head. He screams, collapsing into his somehow uglier natural form. Rose stays with her feet planted on his neck. She nibbles on the ugly horn like it’s a apple. Sage raises his eyebrows as he sees that Rahab is not regenerating his wounds or horn despite changing form.
Rahab starts to purr, a sound meant to be soothing but instead sounds like ball bearings in a coffee can. “Such imperiousness packed into a sweet little blossom. No wonder both those humans behind you are so besotted by you.” Rahab coils his long, slug-like tail around Rose’s womanhood and then her belly. Rose merely sighs.
Sage feels rage bubble up in his heart, swelling him up as he points his gun. Rose holds up her hand again. “I’m fine, Sage.” As if to prove her point, Rose stomps one foot into Rahab’s gills the way one would stomp out an ant. He refuses to wail in pain, but instead makes the strange purring sound again. He swipes his tail over Rose’s belly over and over as if caressing it.
“Littlest goddess, you really are pregnant.” Rahab starts to cry. Rose is so startled that she steps off of him. Sage raises his gun again, sensing danger in the way Rahab’s scent changes. “Our people’s first baby in a thousand years, and they just had to be half-br-”
Rose doesn’t allow Rahab to finish his sentence. In a flash, she tears off his other horn. Rahab wails as his magic leaves him, and Rose growls as he crawls towards her. “Please…let me feel their heartbeat. Just once…” Rahab’s body turns to kelp as he dies, his hand outstretched towards Rose’s belly. Rose continues to munch on his deformed horns like they’re truffles or apples.
Sage rushes to Rose. He tries to take the ugly horns out of her hands, but she munches away. “Rose, what are you doing?”
Rose turns to Sage to answer, still eating. “When we kill our kind, we eat them so that part of them becomes our power. But he isn’t very powerful, so I doubt my body will get any powers. It is good protein for the baby, though.”
Prince Auguro kneels, inspecting the kelp. Rose prods him with her foot. “That kelp won’t be good for eating or weaving. Its too high in selenium for humans, and too weak to hold shape after it’s dried.” Rose starts to walk back to the palace, strolling along as if nothing has happened. Gooseberries fall from her long hair as she walks, her spiritual energy overflowing her body again. In her footprints, tidal pools full of crabs and urchins pop into existence.
Sage looks at Prince Auguro, and the two men simply watch Rose walk away before Prince Auguro breaks the silence.
“Sage, even if more men of the sea arrive, you saw what she just did. What is there to fear?” Prince Auguro readjusts the rifle onto his back, whistling to recall the horses.
Sage shakes his head. “That ocean-man was weak according to her. And Rose is only going to get slower as the baby grows. What happens when she gives birth? She’s made her whelping cave right by the sea! She is practically taunting Leviathan to come find her.” Fear bubbles up like effervescence behind his nose and eyes and Sage bites his lip. “We have to convince her to give birth in the palace. The silver gates, the wisteria, it’ll keep her safe.”
Prince Auguro looks sympathetic, but then he gazes over at Rose. She is just a little dot on the beach now, bathing in the water. “I know you’re worried. You’re her husband in everything but name. But Rose isn’t just any sky-woman. Her people are gods to us, but she’s a god of her people. We can’t even fathom the kind of magic Rose has. She told us herself; she ran from Leviathan because a confrontation would be world-ending. And the other tribes aren’t exactly rushing to choose sides, according to Rose.”
“Rose hasn’t been around her people for centuries. She doesn’t know how things have changed! And magic is like a muscle, it needs to be trained and flexed. How is she going to hold her own against someone actually strong, when she’s so out of practice?” Sage turns to where Rose is bathing in the sea. Rose is dancing in the water, fish leaping all around her as she kicks the water. Sage feels his heart ache with love for her and feckless frivolity.
Prince Auguro hands Sage the reins to his mount. “If other tribes wanted to find her, it would’ve happened in the last three months as Rose uses more of her magic. But no one has come but a singular ocean freak. Rose has chosen this island, Sage. And since you aren’t in a binding vow with her, it’s more important than ever that you and I cater to her needs. If you make this island her prison, she’ll leave.” Prince Auguro mounts his horse. He looks back at Sage. “If Leviathan comes, we will make him regret setting foot on the sand of this island.”
Sage mounts his steed, wishing he could feel so confident. His heart is screaming for him to hide Rose as far from the sea as possible. But Prince Auguro is right about Rose being able to leave whenever she’s unhappy. And that thought, of losing the woman he wraps his arms around each night, of never breathing in her milky scent or hearing her sing soft lullabies as she sews, makes him spiral. He urges his horse into a gallop to catch up to Rose. “Rose, are you ready to head back?”
The words catch in Sage’s throat. Rose is laying nude in the water, and where the sea touches the crescent mark on her belly, pearls bloom like flowers and fall to the sea floor. Hundreds of pearls are strewn around Rose in this way. Between this and the tidal pools, Sage realizes she has gained power from eating Rahab’s horns; never before has her magic created any bounty of the sea.
Price Auguro catches up, and almost tumbles from his horse as pearls start to wash ashore. Pearls from the sea have not existed since before the first Calamity. Prince Auguro himself has only seen pearls described in ancient texts.
And yet, here was Rose, creating so many pearls from her belly that the sea under her starts to turn white.

Understanding Female Sex Problems
Female sex problems can arise from a complex interplay of physical, psychological, and emotional factors. These issues are broadly categorized into four main types:
Desire Disorders: One of the most prevalent Female Sex Problem is a lack of sexual desire. This condition, often linked to hormonal imbalances, psychological stress, or relationship issues, can significantly impact intimacy and self-esteem.
Arousal Disorders: Difficulty in becoming physically aroused, despite having a sexual desire, is another common issue. This problem may be related to insufficient blood flow to the genital area, hormonal changes, or psychological factors such as anxiety and stress.
Orgasm Disorders: Women experiencing difficulty achieving orgasm or delayed orgasm often face frustration and dissatisfaction. Orgasm disorders can be attributed to both physical and psychological factors, including hormonal imbalances, medical conditions, and emotional stress.
Pain Disorders: Pain during intercourse, known as dyspareunia, is a distressing female sex problem that can affect sexual enjoyment and relationship satisfaction. Causes can range from infections and hormonal changes to psychological factors and muscle tension.
Causes of Female Sex Problems
The causes of Female Sex Problem are diverse and multifaceted, involving a combination of physical, emotional, and psychological factors:
Hormonal Imbalances: Hormones such as estrogen and testosterone are crucial for regulating sexual desire and arousal. Imbalances due to menopause, pregnancy, or hormonal disorders can contribute to various sexual dysfunctions.
Medical Conditions: Chronic illnesses like diabetes, heart disease, and neurological disorders can impact sexual health. Medications for these conditions, including antidepressants and antihypertensives, may also have side effects that affect sexual function.
Psychological Factors: Stress, anxiety, depression, and past trauma can significantly impact sexual desire and performance. Relationship issues, lack of communication, and emotional disconnect with a partner can exacerbate these problems.
Ayurvedic Solutions for Female Sex Problems
Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine, offers a holistic approach to addressing female sex problems by treating the root causes and promoting overall wellness. Here’s how Ayurveda can help:
Herbal Remedies: Ayurveda utilizes a range of herbs known for their aphrodisiac and rejuvenating properties. Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) is widely used to balance female hormones and enhance libido. Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) helps reduce stress and improve vitality, while Kapikacchu (Mucuna pruriens) supports reproductive health and energy levels.
Diet and Nutrition: A balanced diet plays a crucial role in managing Female Sex Problem. Ayurveda recommends foods that enhance Ojas (vital energy), such as nuts, seeds, fruits, and dairy products. Spices like saffron, nutmeg, and cinnamon are also beneficial for boosting sexual desire and overall well-being.
Lifestyle Modifications: Regular physical activity, sufficient sleep, and stress management techniques like yoga and meditation are essential for maintaining hormonal balance and improving sexual health. These practices help in managing stress, enhancing circulation, and fostering emotional well-being.
Panchakarma Therapy: Panchakarma, a detoxification and rejuvenation therapy in Ayurveda, can be effective in treating female sex problems. This therapy involves a series of procedures designed to cleanse the body of toxins, rejuvenate tissues, and balance the doshas (body energies), promoting overall health and vitality.

Welcoming a new life into the world is a journey filled with joy and anticipation, especially during the third trimester of pregnancy. As the body undergoes various changes, nourishment becomes paramount. In this culinary journey towards a healthy pregnancy, methi laddu recipe by Maa Mitahara stands out as a delightful and nutritious treat. Packed with the goodness of fenugreek and other wholesome ingredients, these laddus offer not just a burst of flavors but also a nutritional boost for both the expecting mother and the growing baby.
Understanding the Importance of Nutrition in the Third Trimester:
Laddu for pregnancy third trimester is a crucial time for both the mother and the baby. The body undergoes significant changes, and nutritional requirements are at their peak. Adequate nourishment during this period is essential for the development of the baby’s organs, bones, and overall growth. Moreover, the mother’s body needs extra energy and nutrients to support the growing baby and prepare for childbirth.
Methi (Fenugreek): A Nutrient Powerhouse:
Methi, or fenugreek, is a key ingredient in Maa Mitahara’s special Methi Laddu recipe. This humble herb is a nutrient powerhouse, rich in iron, calcium, magnesium, and vitamins A and C. It is known for its potential to regulate blood sugar levels, aid digestion, and boost milk production, making it an ideal inclusion in the diet of expectant mothers.
The Maa Mitahara Methi Laddu Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup fenugreek seeds (methi) 1 cup almonds, finely chopped 1 cup ghee (clarified butter) 1 cup whole wheat flour 1 cup jaggery, grated 1/2 cup edible gum (gond), crushed 1/2 cup mixed dry fruits (cashews, walnuts, pistachios), chopped 1 teaspoon cardamom powder A pinch of saffron strands (optional) Instructions:
1. Roasting Fenugreek Seeds (Methi):
Dry roast fenugreek seeds on low heat until they turn golden brown. This step not only enhances the flavor but also reduces the bitterness of fenugreek.
2. Preparing Ghee and Whole Wheat Flour Mixture:
In a separate pan, heat ghee and add whole wheat flour. Roast the flour until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma. 3. Mixing Ingredients:
Combine roasted fenugreek seeds, almonds, jaggery, edible gum, mixed dry fruits, and cardamom powder in a large bowl. Mix well to ensure an even distribution of ingredients.
4. Adding the Ghee and Flour Mixture:
Pour the ghee and whole wheat flour mixture over the combined ingredients. Mix thoroughly to form a cohesive mixture.
5. Shaping the Laddus:
Allow the mixture to cool slightly. While it is still warm, shape the mixture into small, bite-sized laddus. Ensure they are firm and hold their shape.
6. Garnishing (Optional):
For an extra touch of indulgence, garnish the laddus with saffron strands. This not only adds a hint of color but also a subtle floral flavor.
7. Storing:
Once the laddus have cooled completely, store them in an airtight container. They can be stored for several weeks, making them a convenient and healthy snack during the third trimester. Health Benefits of Maa Mitahara Methi Laddu:
Iron-Rich: Fenugreek is an excellent source of iron, crucial for preventing anemia and ensuring proper oxygen supply to both the mother and the baby.
Calcium Boost: The inclusion of almonds and edible gum provides a significant dose of calcium, promoting the development of the baby’s bones and teeth.
Energy-Packed: The combination of ghee, whole wheat flour, and dry fruits offers a sustainable source of energy, combating fatigue and supporting the increased energy demands during pregnancy.
Digestive Aid: Fenugreek is known for its digestive properties, helping alleviate common digestive issues that may arise during pregnancy, such as bloating and indigestion.
Blood Sugar Regulation: The fenugreek seeds in the laddus contribute to better blood sugar control, an essential aspect, especially for pregnant women dealing with gestational diabetes.
Galactagogue Properties: Fenugreek is renowned for its galactagogue properties, promoting the production of breast milk and supporting lactation postpartum.
Rich in Nutrients: With a diverse array of nuts and whole grains, Maa Mitahara Methi Laddu recipe ensures a well-rounded intake of essential nutrients like vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
Conclusion:

Types Of Pigmentation & Ayurvedic Solutions To Skin Pigmentation
Namaste, dear readers! Welcome back to Glamour World Ayurvedic. In today’s post, we delve into the fascinating realm of skin pigmentation and unveil the potent Ayurvedic solutions that can help you achieve an even, radiant complexion. Say bye to uneven skin tone and say hello to the transformative power of Ayurveda.
Types Of Pigmentation:
1. Sunspots and Age Spots:
Sunspots, often called age spots or liver spots, result from prolonged sun exposure. These small, dark patches usually appear on that part of the skin that is frequently exposed to the sun directly, like the face, hands, and shoulders.
2. Melasma – The Mask of Pregnancy:
Melasma is a common pigmentation concern among women, especially during pregnancy. It manifests as large, symmetrical patches of darker skin, primarily on the face. Hormonal changes, sun exposure, and genetics are often contributing factors.
3. Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH):
PIH occurs after skin inflammation or injury, such as acne, burns, or cuts. It leads to dark patches that can take weeks or even months to fade away.
4. Hormonal Imbalances:
Internal changes in the body, such as changes in hormone levels or conditions such as PCOS, thyroid, and pregnancy, can cause skin pigmentation.
Tips To Treat & Avoid Skin Pigmentation:
Plan your day keeping your body’s circadian rhythms: try to wake up early, exercise, meditate, eat balanced & healthy meals, and sleep early.
Hydrated skin is less prone to skin pigmentation. Ensure you take 8-10 glasses of water every day.
Include fruits and vegetables in your meals.
Avoid sun exposure as much as possible. When outdoors, make most physical blocks like dark-coloured clothing, use sunscreen, and wear sunglasses and hats to avoid sun exposure.
Ayurvedic Solutions To Skin Pigmentation:
In Ayurveda, skin pigmentation is seen as an imbalance in the body’s doshas. The holistic approach addresses the root cause while nourishing the skin from within. Here are some Ayurvedic remedies to help you journey to even-toned skin.
1. Turmeric – Nature’s Brightening Agent:
Turmeric, a golden treasure in Ayurveda, is renowned for its skin-brightening properties. Create a paste using turmeric, chickpea flour, and milk or yoghurt. Apply it to the affected areas, allowing its natural goodness to work wonders.
Tip: After applying the turmeric paste, massage a few drops of Glow Active Facial Oil or Glow Fresh Facial Oil onto the perfectly cleansed and toned face and neck area. Enriched with the goodness of natural ingredients, it will purify, rebalance, and refine skin texture. It will also help in tightening pores.
2. Neem – The Bitter Elixir of Beauty:
Neem, known for its purifying and antibacterial properties, can assist in managing pigmentation. Mix neem powder with water or Rose water to form a paste and apply it as a spot treatment.
3. Saffron Infusion for Radiance:
Saffron, the luxurious spice, is a time-honoured ingredient in Ayurveda. Soak a few strands of saffron in milk overnight. Apply this saffron-infused milk to your face and let it soak in. The result? A radiant, illuminated complexion.
