Are you more optimistic or pessimistic? It depends on the task or situation, and how likely it is to get better. I’m rather realistic and choose whether to be positive or negative only after I weigh the pros and cons. Are you comfortable with your weight? Yeah, I’m happy with it. I do sometimes wonder why I get to maintain my weight no matter how much I eat though. How often do you listen to Classic Rock? Never? It’s not really my genre of choice in any context. What about country? Even more never, if that’s even possible haha. Do you know anyone inside and out? That’s a very grand feat to reach and I'm not really comfortable claiming that this is how I am with anyone. I do know for a fact that there are still some things I’m only learning now about my girlfriend and I know her the best out of all the people I know.

Do you have days where all you feel like doing is dancing? Not at all, I hate dancing. Have you learned anything depressing lately? Yes. I talked about it in a survey last night and I don’t feel like going over it again because I’m actually doing a little better now. Is anyone in your family sick? For some reason I’m getting bad coughs every night, but other than that no one is seriously sick. Do you worry a lot, or are you pretty much carefree? Hahahaha the first one. I’m worrying right now; I’m just answering this survey to distract myself. Do you have a lot of freckles? Nope, that’s not a common feature here. Have you ever thought someone was really interesting, but when you got to know them you realized they weren't anything special? Back when Reiven and I were applying for our org, he stood out in our batch since he was hilarious and would make everyone crack up no matter what he said or did. I found him interesting because of that; once I got to know him more he turned out a liiiiiittle bit annoying and also difficult to work with since he would never accept edits and corrections on his works and he’d always stand by his writing errors. Are you very up-front about things or do you "beat around the bush"? Upfront. Everyone who knows me in real life knows I hate nothing more than people who beat around the bush. I don’t have a legit camera anymore after I gave my old DSLR to my sister, but these days I just use my iPhone’s camera to take photos since its quality is very good anyway. Was today good or bad, or has it just started? It was meh. And the meh-ness is starting to get to me already, ugh. What is something you know you shouldn't do, but do anyways? Stay up criminally late. I think that and my nightly coffees are the source of my bad headaches so I’m trying to sleep earlier these nights. My dad listens to a lot of classic rock, rock, and country, but he likes some top 40 type stuff. My mom listens to a variety of music like I do. Since I like a variety, I enjoy a lot of the same music as my both parents. Probably more so my mom, though. 

14. Do you ever listen to music without any words? Not often, but sometimes. Like some classical music. It has been awhile, though.

15. Are there any famous musicians that you’ve met? Are there any that you would like to meet? I met Drake Bell a couple times. I wish I could have met Chester Bennington. :(

My first concert was a Christian alternative band with my first boyfriend. My last concert was Green Day with my best friend at the time. Green Day, Jonas Brothers, Drake Bell, and the Jingle Ball concerts (had several artists/bands perform) I went to were all awesome. 

17. Do you have a favorite movie soundtrack? What is it? Sweeney Todd.

18. Would you want to be a band groupie? Why or why not? No.

19. What is a band/singer you would like to see but haven’t gotten a chance to yet? There’s several. I’m really sad I never got to see Linkin Park. 

20. Do you care more about the beat of the music you listen to, or the lyrics? Both. I mean, there’s songs that I just like or are catchy and the lyrics don’t matter as much, but I love songs with relatable lyrics that just speak to me.

22. What are some of the songs that you listen to the most frequently? There’s a lot. I just hit shuffle on my main Spotify playlist, which consists of a variety of genres and arists/bands. That’s the playlist I listen to all the time.

23. Could you make a playlist of songs that describes your life? What kinds of playlists do you have made? I wouldn’t have the motivation or energy to attempt that. It would take a lot of time and thinking.

24. Do you remember listening to music on CDs and cassettes, not just on the internet? Yes.

I haven’t seen a lot of musicals, but there’s a few I’ve seen and liked. Seeing them live is awesome, but I like watching them at home whenever I want as well. Sweeney Todd is one of my favorites. Side note, Disney+ just added Hamilton and I’ve been thinking about watching it. I remember when it was super popular, so now that it’s available to watch I’d like to check it out.

33. What was the worst concert you’ve ever attended before, and what made it the worst? I’ve never been to a bad concert.

They’re not a big thing anymore, I feel like. I mean, I know they’re still being made, but it’s not like back in the day when we had TRL and MTV actually played music videos. I remember getting excited back then to watch them.

39. Have you ever recorded a cover song and posted it? What kind of feedback did you receive? Noooo. I can’t sing, why would I embarrass myself like that?

Top 10 songs ever...

Okay, so I can’t answer this because I’m really indecisive, but here are 10 that popped in my head, plus a list of a bunch of people and groups I love below, but if you want a better/more specific list, I’d love to make a top 10 list for certain genres or decades of music. Examples being 80’s, today’s hits, 2000’s, R&B, chill, country & such.

Misery by Maroon 5: Honestly this has always been one of my favorite songs. I love anything that was from old Maroon 5z I’m not a huge fan of their newer stuff.

Because I Had You by Shawn Mendes: I’m not sure why I love this song so much. Maybe it’s the vibe. The key it’s in is perfect for Shawn’s voice, and it is absolutely amazing live.

Gravity by John Mayer: Tbh anything John Mayer is great. Gravity has great lyrics, soothing music, a nice guitar solo, and it’s definitely one of my favorite songs to listen too when I’m in a chill mood.

The Chain by Fleetwood Mac: Fleetwood Mac is just amazing in general, but the chain is probably one of their most catchy/most popular songs, and it definitely isn’t overrated for no reason. (Also does anyone else think Miley Cyrus sounds like Stevie Nicks? Or is that just me?)

Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen: Yes, this is obvious, but as overplayed and annoying as it gets, it’s definitely one of the greatest musical compositions of its time. As a music nerd, it’s hard not to love that song and everything that went into it. (Honestly, if I just want to listen to some good Queen, Fat Bottomed Girls is probably my go to song lol).

The Scientist by Coldplay: Honestly anything by Coldplay is absolutely amazing. One of my favorite groups of all time. That’s really all I have to say.

The Way You Make Me Feel (or literally anything) by Michael Jackson: I grew up listening to him. He was just such a talented person, and I really respect all of his music.

Blow by Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton, and Bruno Mars: Okay, this is new, but honestly I’m just recommending each of these three artists. When you look at the three of them, you would not expect a collab at all, and you definitely wouldn’t expect it to work out, but somehow they made an amazing song and I really respect and love the voices of all three of them.

Jessie’s Girl by Rick Springfield: Okay, obvious again but I’ve always loved this song, and I saw Rick in concert a month ago and he is in his 60’s I believe, and he still sounds exactly the same as when he was younger. I truly love and gain so much respect for any artist that sounds just as great live as they do in their recordings. Rick is amazing, and he’s a great actor too lmao.

Best Day Of My Life by American Authors: This song is just a great summer uplifting song, and honestly I’m mostly putting it on here because like I said, I respect anyone that’s just as great live as they are in the recordings, and when I saw them, they were absolutely amazing.

These are definitely not my top 10 songs of all time, and I honestly don’t think I could EVER pick 10. This is kind of just a list of the first few I could think of. Anyway, some more songs I love are any song by any of the artists I mentioned above, as well as songs like, are you gonna be my girl by jet, anything by U2 or Journey or Men at Work, Kenny Loggins, Stevie Wonder, The Weeknd, Nickelback (yes I love them), Kid Cudi, Daughtry (No surprise is great), Usher, The Beatles, The Script, Tame Impala, The 1975, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and way too many more to think of. Khalid (Another Sad Love Song is my favorite), some of the Jonas Brothers songs (Happy When I’m Sad is one of my favorites).

I’m missing a ton of people, of course. This is so hard for me to even think of everyone honestly.

I'm salty and SAD this weekend cass, there's a festival in my country (pinkpop) and The 1975 AND Fleetwood Mac are preforming on monday and I couldn't get tickets. I like cried so much about it it's so unfair I wish I could have gone :( now I'm in my room watching livestreams of the fesfival sobbing and eating popcorn because I can't be there skskfkrndn

oh i’m so sorry petal :-( i know the feeling of what it’s like to miss out (i didn’t manage to get tickets to harry’s 2017 tour and i cried in the bathroom at school lol because at the time he hadn’t announced the 2018 leg so i thought i’d missed out on my one chance). i think maybe the best thing to do is just distract yourself as best as you can on monday? and even for what’s left of today and tomorrow. do something fun, go see a movie or go hang with friends and just put the thought of the festival out of your mind. you can still tune in to watch the livestream on monday for the artists you want to see but just try to engage in other activities as well that will cheer you up. sending lots of love 💖

as The World’s Number One Most Stressed Out Human Being™️ i am definitely in no way fit to give advice on how to relax LMFAO 

but i guess something that always works for me is putting on music i KNOW will make me sing a long or make me happy to distract me from the nerves i’m feeling. also putting on my favorite comfort movies to make me feel better (they’re big fish, scott pilgrim vs the world, and spirited away btw lol)

the ending of coco, seeing my mom cry, or anyone i love cry tbh, when children are neglected/abused, thinking about the world i’ll have to bring my future children into and how i’m going to be able to teach them to stay strong and bright in the face of it, lyrics that hit too close to home, absolutely anything tbh i cry easy

sight - the view of my cherry blossom tree against a pink sunset in the spring of my childhood home, a person’s eyes and how they light up when they smile, especially when they crinkle as they laugh

What is one scene from a book that makes you really sad?

unfortunately i haven’t read as many books lately as i did when i was younger...so a lot of my memories are from books that i read like as a kid lol......THAT BEING SAID i think rue and finnick’s death in the hunger games was truly heartbreaking to read, the spine of my copies of both books have cracks on those pages bc i had to read it several times just to really believe it. also i thought it was written so heart wrenchingly well that i had to go back.  also in looking for alaska when pudge, a man who loved to know people’s last words, realized that he would never know alaska’s last words. im also really thankful for that book bc it introduced me to wh auden’s poetry and to this day he’s still one of my favorite poets of all time.

1. Yeah no I could never pick only one favorite song. That’s literally impossible because I listen to SO MANY SONGS on a daily basis. The closest I’ll ever get to having favorite songs are the ones I consider timeless…mainly due to nostalgic reasons and/or specific memories attached to the songs. Here’s some examples: “Mountain Sound (Of Monsters and Men)”, “Renegades (X Ambassadors)”, “How to save a life” & “Over my head” (by The Fray), “Landslide (Fleetwood Mac)”, “Love song (Sara Bareilles)”, “Fast Car (Tracy Chapman)”, “Mr Jones (Counting Crows)”, “my girl (The Temptations)”, and “Build our machine (DAGames)” of course~

I don’t remember which was last, but I was listening to these songs on loop last week: “Moving up in the world (DAGames)”, “Our Word (36 Questions)”, “Ghost in the sun (PrinceWhateverer)”, “Insane (Black Gryph0n)”, “This comes from inside (The Living Tombstone)”, “Oh it’s you (Man on the Internet)”, and “Lonely King (CG5)”

3. I LOVE all the songs by AJR. All of their albums are INCREDIBLE and I’ve definitely memorized a lot of the song lyrics

4. Oooh this is such a difficult question. Uh, I guess, “You will be okay” from Helluva Boss haha. Because it’s got great singing, a soothing melody, and beautiful visuals. Also a narrative story! “Lullaby For a Princess (ponyphonic)” could also work for very similar reasons :) buuut I’ll also mention “Wait for it” from Hamilton & “She used to be mine (Waitress)” because why the hell not

5. I really depends on what you mean by bad mood. When I’m irritable I might listen to an edgy/intense song and put it on blast in my headphones lol. Something like “Too Far (CK9C)”, “War! (Zach Callison)”, or “Happy Pills (Weathers)”. When I’m melancholy I’ll listen to something with a sad tone or slow pace. Songs like “that funny feeling (Bo Burnham)”, “I was human (Rachie’s English cover)”, “Wake up (EDEN)”, and “when you love someone (James TW)”, “Mr. Blue (Bojack Horseman)” …yeah I listen to lots of sad songs lol. Also Paramore songs because “Ain’t It Fun”, “Rose Colored Boy”, and “Hard Times” honestly hit different when your going through stuff

6. Although the original is good, I actually prefer the piano version of “This is Gospel (Panic! At the Disco)” since the emotional weight of the lyrics is more prevalent in that version. Plus more angst ;)

I remember I was very little when I heard these songs, like either in preschool or kindergarten, and I absolutely fell in love with them. And even now they hold a special place in my heart <3

9.“Somewhere only we know” by Keane…for so so many reasons 💜 Another close one is “Iris” by TheGooGooDolls…but mainly the chorus part. I can also find myself relating to “Landslide” by Feetwood Mac.

10. Oh definitely “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran. I literally dreaded when that song would come on the radio since it made me very very uncomfortable. I’m a highly sex repulsed asexual so I disliked how direct the 1st person lyrics were, especially during the part “put that body on me” like EGH I just can’t deal with that. And it would play on the radio NON STOP. But on the flip side, I absolutely ADORE “Castle on the hill” and even his more recent songs like “Bad habits”…so I don’t hate his music, I just strongly dislike that one song since it tormented me for so many years lol

11. Uh nothing recently, but MONTHS ago one of my sweetest friends recommended the “How To Train Your Dragon” ost and songs from the video game “Ori and the Blind Forest”. It gave me a lot of Hollow Knight vibes which I very much like <3

12. I honestly don’t remember. I used to look up lyrics all the time, but now I just listen to songs on repeat until the lyrics stick with me. I think it would have been “Oh it’s you (Man on the Internet)” because I desperately wanted to sing along with that one

19. I’m actually pretty fond of the song “Devil's Train (The Lab Rats)” even though it could be easily classified as rap. The Stupendium also makes musical/rap-like songs but I find myself enjoying most of them. Demon Dice makes incredible rap music too. I rarely have exceptions to classical music besides some video game ost’s. And “Mean (Taylor Swift)” and “Good Girl (Carrie Underwood)” are exceptions for country music.

20. I prefer my music quiet (2-3 clicks in volume), EXCEPT when I’m daydreaming an intense battle scene or pretending to be a confident masculine villain 😅. When I have these “triggered” daydreams (I call them triggered since these are recurring daydreams directly linked to specific songs) I get a sudden urge to sprint around the house & put the music really loud (which to me is 6-8 clicks) until I slow down my sprinting pace. It stays low volume for all other songs I listen too though
