god i just cannot get over how every time sabo moves up in the story all he ends up getting is more weight on his shoulders. when he becomes chief of staff (or the events leading up to it, i assume) kuma is missing, dragon is more MIA than not, and ivankov is in prison. now HE'S in charge of holding the revolution together. he's twenty years old! the people who raised him are either gone or in trouble, and by the time he gets them back, everyone's beginning to get used to sabo being in charge. then he survives a meeting with the five elders and gets framed for murder and his status just fucking blows up overnight!! he becomes a figurehead of the revolution and on top of his promise to stay alive for his little brother and his self-imposed need to carry on ace's legacy (and cobra's, now) SO many people are looking towards him as a symbol of resilience. there are so many eyes on him, looking at him as either a threat that needs to be silenced or a godlike figure that can withstand anything. he can't show pain or displeasure and has even less slack to allow himself a moment of weakness- sabo has no space to slip up, ever, because people NEED him to be unshakable. himself most of all. god

You’re Jealous
 Summary: You get jealous of someone else in his life.
Characters: Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Ace, Sabo, Law, and Kid
Genre: Slight Angst // Fluff
CW: None // SFW
———
Luffy:
He never told you Boa Hancock was in love with him, and when you find out, you have to remove yourself from the situation before you have an emotional outburst and start something with the Pirate Empress. The problem is, you don’t even know which emotion will spill out of you. Finding out the world’s most beautiful woman, and a powerful Warlord, no less, is desperate to marry Luffy is a whirlwind, to say the least. Luffy can seem clueless at times, but his emotional intelligence is through the roof, and he picks up on what has you upset almost straight away. He knows to give you some space, and when he senses you’re ready, he approaches you with a handful of wildflowers he picked. He doesn’t really say much, just pulls you into a hug, presses a few kisses into your cheek and temple, and says in your ear, “you’re my girl.”
Zoro:
He didn’t mention Perona was also at Mihawk’s castle for those two years until a few months after the crew gets together. He tells a story that features her, and you realize there was a woman keeping him company. Your heart drops into your stomach. Zoro insists he didn’t mention her because he didn’t think she was relevant; the only thing Perona did those two years was annoy him. He’s actually the one who won’t let it go, not you (even though you are pretty jealous). Whereas you’d prefer not to talk about it, Zoro is wracked with guilt because he’d never considered the whole thing in a relationship context. Him fretting constantly over it actually heals your jealousy because you realize you’ve never seen him panic over the prospect of hurting anyone else’s feelings.
Sanji:
Even with a third eye, Pudding is stunning. And Sanji almost married her. It was before you two were together, but listening to the stories from Whole Cake, hearing how close he came to marrying another woman, knowing she really did fall in love with his kind heart and wonderful cooking, turns you into a little green monster. You know you shouldn’t feel jealous of a woman you’ve never met before, a woman Sanji chose not to marry, but you can’t help it. Sanji is completely shocked that you would feel jealous over his relationship (if it could even be called that) with Pudding, though after thinking about it some more, he does realize why you might be jealous that he had a fiancé. His solution is to bring you a bouquet of roses and walk you through the dark details of his life, telling you things he’s never outright told anyone, so you understand the special place you have in his life.
Ace:
He collects people without trying, and often times, without realizing, either. Ace thinks he’s just making friends, but you see the way the women he laughs and shares drinks with are drawn to him like plants to the sun. He promises them freedom and adventure (and he has a very nice laugh), and you can see how it excites them. You don’t really mind it, knowing Ace well enough to see the way he holds those women at arm’s length, even if he seems close with them (such is the magic of Fire First Ace). But Yamato makes you jealous. It’s not hearing the way they laughed together but hearing the way they fought that gets to you. You know how Ace lives to fight and even just roughhouse, you know how he’s a rough and tumble guy, and you worry you’re not tough enough. Should you be punching his arm when he makes a joke? Should you be trying to trip him out on deck? What should you be doing? When you finally come clean with Ace about what’s been bothering you, he actually laughs. “If I wanted to be with someone who gives me hell, I’d be sleeping in Marco’s cabin every night. Besides,” he says, scooping you up in his arms, “I like being able to manhandle you.”
Sabo:
Sabo is a flirt, and you knew that going into your relationship. It actually doesn’t bother you when he flashes that charming smile of his at someone else or swoops in to save a damsel in distress (a speciality of his) and even serves to entertain, especially on the rare occasions his flirtations are rebuked. What does bother you, though, is his tight relationship with Koala. You know it’s ridiculous to be envious, you know Koala would sooner saw off her arm than kiss the man she considers her irksome big brother, but they’ve known each other since they were little kids, and Koala has been through so much with Sabo that the pair have such a close bond. It’s not the angry kind of jealousy that bubbles up in you when Koala mentions something about Sabo’s past that she assumes you know but you don’t, just the sad kind that you try to keep to yourself. Surprisingly, Sabo notices, though you don’t realize until he hugs you from behind and mumbles in your ear that he’s glad you’re the only one who knows he has a skincare routine, his silly words diffusing your mood and acting as the exact affirmation you needed. If it’s not enough, though, he’ll happily prove his loyalty to you by challenging Koala to a karate match, though.
Law:
Dr. Law and Dr. Robin sure do get along well- so well, in fact, you can’t help but wonder if they are better suited to each other than you and him. Even if they didn’t have such good chemistry, it would be impossible not to feel a touch of jealousy toward the archeologist. She’s intelligent, beautiful, fiercely loyal, a member of the Straw Hats, and has an impressive bounty that she earned even before she became a pirate. Needless to say, you find yourself brooding when the Robin brings him a beer and sits down beside him to discuss the immune systems of fishmen, a topic both are rather interested in. Of course, you’re interested in that, too, thus the reason Law realizes something is wrong when you don’t participate in the conversation. He ends up excusing the two of you and taking you to bed, worrying you had too much to drink, the thought you may be jealous never once occurring to him. You end up not saying anything (many thing in your relationship with Law being unspoken) and just sleeping it off, the fact that he excused the two of you proof enough of his loyalty.
Kid:
He doesn’t ever talk about his first love, Victoria. In fact, you didn’t even know she existed until Killer got drunk one night and began speaking of his dearly departed. What he didn’t mention was that Kid, too, had been in love with her. It only comes up the next night when you mention it to Wire, who mentions it was the death of his first love, Victoria, that put Kid on the war path and united the first four members of the Kid Pirates. Realizing Wire messed up, Heat chimes in to say, “he’d do the same for you.” But you’re not convinced, mainly because Kid never told you any of this. It tears you apart, leaves you tossing and turning for nights on end, until you finally burst into Kid’s workshop one night ranting about how he doesn’t trust you and holds you at arm’s length. “Heat says you’d do the same for me, but-” Kid cuts you off and says, “I wouldn’t do the same, I’d do worse. Much, much worse.” And from the wicked gleam in his eye, you’re inclined to believe him.

You get hurt and don't tell them' ft. luffy, zoro, sanji
wc: 310 law, ace, sabo shanks, kid, killer crocodil, mihawk, buggy
Tumblr media
Monkey D. Luffy
- Luffy isn’t the type to notice subtle things, but he does notice when you’re unusually quiet or less energetic.
-When he finds out you got hurt and didn’t tell him, he gets comically upset, puffing his cheeks and yelling, “Why didn’t you tell me?!”
-He insists on you showing him the injury, poking at it curiously (but gently, after you yell at him).
-Luffy then goes full protective mode, staying by your side and making sure you rest properly.
“You don’t have to be tough all the time! That’s my job!” he says with a big grin, pulling you into a tight hug despite your protests about being sore.
Tumblr media
Roronoa Zoro
-Zoro is naturally observant when it comes to physical injuries, so it annoys him when he finds out you hid it from him.
-He scolds you in his usual gruff manner: “You’re not made of steel, you know. Stop being reckless.”
-Once he cools off, he quietly makes sure you’re taken care of—he’ll carry you around if needed and might even give you his sake as a peace offering.
-If anyone else caused your injury, they’re going to regret it. Badly.
-Zoro doesn’t say it outright, but he appreciates it when you let him look after you. “Don’t hide stuff from me, idiot,” he mutters while keeping you close.
Tumblr media
Sanji
-Sanji immediately notices something is off when you’re hurt, even if you try to hide it. He’s far too attentive.
“You’re walking funny… Did you hurt yourself? Why didn’t you tell me?!” His worry makes him more dramatic than usual.
-Sanji instantly goes into caretaker mode, whipping up meals to help you recover and fussing over you like a doting parent.
-He’s constantly asking if you need anything: “Do you want tea? A blanket? A massage? Just say the word, my love!”
-While his concern might be a bit overbearing, it’s clear how much he cares, especially when he kisses your injury gently and promises to protect you better.

Your First Fight
Headcanon 🫶 (Pls send more requests)
LUFFY + ZORO + SANJI + LAW + ACE + SABO
LUFFY
“I don’t get why you’re so mad at me,” he said as he watched you pace around the room. “Are you serious? I asked you to stay behind on the ship, because you know this island is known to be a common Navy stop! All I needed was to grab some herbs and plants for the garden and who do I see rocketing into the middle of the plaza?” You asked, knowing damn well who it was. “Me…” he replied softly. “Exactly! I asked you to stay behind and watch the ship with the others! Why can’t you do the simplest of tasks?” You yelled. “So what if I left? I got bored, and why are you trying to tell me what to do?! If you want me to remind you, I’m your captain! You listen to me!” He yelled back.
“Well it obviously doesn’t look like it, since you were hurling at max speed into a Navy base island without a care in the world! Grow up! I asked you to stay behind because we had others who needed to stock up on supplies, which means you had to stay behind and make sure we’re not discovered or the ship isn’t hijacked!” You yelled. “We would have been fine! We always escape, so why are you so mad at me?” He asked. “Just because it hasn’t happened doesn’t mean it won’t. Plus I asked you to do something and you just ignored it,” You replied. “Well if you want to boss people around so much, go find your own ship. Maybe you’ll be a better captain,” he said coldly as he walked out of the bedroom.
ZORO
“Hey stop!” You called out to your boyfriend. You were both currently lost… or he was lost, you knew where to go, but Zoro wasn’t listening. “Zoro, I told you a billion times that the ship is the other way,” you said. “I know where it is! You don’t need to babysit me, I’m not a little kid,” he sighed. “I’m not trying to,” you said. “Well it feels like it… like I can’t take a break,” he grumbled. “Ok… but why are you so upset? I’m just giving you dire-“ he cut you off. “Because you’re always doing this!” He shouted as he stopped and looked at you.
“Huh?” You asked. “You’re always… suffocating me. I can never have a moment to myself, ever since we started dating. It’s like you’re a leech and I can never get rid of you for 5 seconds,” he groaned. “Oh…” your voice cracked. “I didn’t m-mean…” you trailed off. “Wait… (Y/N), I didn’t mean all that. I’m just-“ you cut him off. “No… it’s fine, I understand… You just want some space…I’ll head back to the ship, I’ll see you there,” you said as you turned on your heels and ran towards the ship. “(Y/N)!” You heard as you continued to run off.
SANJI
You slowly approached your boyfriend, excited to help him with whatever he needs. “Hey!” You smiled. “Hi beautiful, how are you?” He smiled back. “I’m great, so what are we making today?” You asked. “Nami-swan asked if I could make her some fruit tarts so I’ll be preparing that for her,” he smiled. “Mind if I help? If you finish quickly we can go-“ he cut you off. “Sorry (Y/N), but I’d hate for this to be messed up. It’s better if I do it alone,” he explained.
“Oh… but I normally help you in the kitchen, why can’t I help you with this one?” You asked, confused. “To make sure it’s perfect for my Nami-swan! Plus, you still haven’t mastered certain techniques, and I’d hate for this treat to not be perfect for my beloved Nami,” he swooned. “Seriously?” You huffed. “I didn’t mean to offend you my love, I was just answering your question,” he replied as he began preparing the dessert. “Ok fine, I’ll get out of your way. Maybe your beloved Nami will come help you out in the future,” you said coldly and began walking out of the kitchen. “(Y/N)! Hey! Wait!” He called out, but you continued to your bedroom.
LAW
“(Y/N) you’ve been at that for the past 6 hours, it’s time to take a break,” Law said as he watched you continue to try to fix the electrical issue that’s been causing problems with the motor. “But I can’t just stop now… what if the motor stops when we’re trying to escape from someone?” You asked, feeling frustrated by the uncooperative wires. “Come on, maybe you need some fresh air. We’ve been ducked at this island for a whole day and you haven’t even looked outside to see it,” he sighed. “Well I’m sorry that I’m trying to fix your ship!” You huffed. “That’s fine, but you need a break,” he said.
“Well I don’t want a break, what I want to do is fix this stupid thing!” You groaned. “And I really don’t need someone breathing down my neck when I’m trying to do something!” You added. “I’m just trying to look out for you, but if you’re gonna act like this then I’m leaving,” he said softly and headed towards the exit. “Good, maybe I’ll finally be able to fix this,” you glared as he walked out.
ACE
“Come on babe, are you really still mad at me?” Ace asked as he followed you to your bedroom. “What makes you think that?” You asked as you tried to shut the door in his face, but he quickly stopped it and stepped in. “That’s why,” he frowned. “Just making sure to close the door behind me,” you said as you gave a tight smile. “Come on, what’s the big deal? I’m sorry I left without telling you,” he said as he tried to hold you. “You just don’t understand,” you huffed as you brushed off his embrace. “Then tell me,” he said as he sat on your bed.
“What if you died?” You said bluntly. “Well… that’s being optimistic…” Ace said awkwardly. “I’m serious, what if you died? You really left without me knowing, and sure you made it back safe, but what if next time you’re not so lucky? And I end up finding out my boyfriend died in the middle of the sea, and I couldn’t even say goodbye to him…” you said softly. “Ok, ok… well I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have left. Even though you know I’ll always be safe. So, forgive me now?” He smiled. “No, because you’re not taking me seriously!” You groaned. “Why are you still mad at me? I said, " I'm sorry, don’t worry so much!” He yelled back. “I worry because I love you, but if you’re so dense, then just get out! I don’t know why I even put up with you. When it obviously shows how little you care about my feelings!” You shouted as you pushed Ace out of your room. “Wait, (Y/N) I’m sorry! Let’s keep-“ but you cut his words off with the door.
SABO
“Sabo~” you cooed. “Yes (Y/N)?” He replied. “I’m bored, can you please put the book down for a second and let’s go walk around the island or grab something to eat?” You asked hopefully. “Not today, plus you know we’re not supposed to be venturing out when he has to be on duty,” he explained. “I know, but we both get and hour break from standing guard and you’ve been spending each break reading. Can’t we do something, the two of us? Together?” You added. “Why? We’re spending time together right now,” he rolled his eyes.
Your eyes fell to the floor, “Alright,” you said softly as you headed back to the base. “What’s wrong?” Sabo called out. “Nothing, just gonna head inside,” you replied. You heard footsteps behind you, “What’s wrong? Tell me,” he said as he grabbed your arm. “Sabo we’ve been here for 2 weeks and you don’t want to do any normal couple stuff with me? Not even for an hour?” You asked. “(Y/N) you know-“ you cut him off. “Yeah I know, I also know how hard it is to have a relationship in our positions, but that didn't stop you from asking me out… Plus… I’ve seen you go out with Koala on a few occasions, you didn’t seem to have an issue with the rules then,” you glared. He quickly released your arm. “Hold on, you’re misunderstanding that (Y/N). You know Koala and I-“ you cut him off once again. “I know, but it doesn't mean you’re off having fun with another girl. While your real girlfriend is stuck here watching you read a book,” you said softly before turning on your heels and heading back towards the base.

_______________________________
Luffy is upset today, he’s not sure why, he’s feeling this rush of some sort of unplaceable loneliness even though he isn’t alone at all, surrounded by people to love and spend time with and hug. He had fallen and broken a stack of glasses in the kitchen yesterday, and he was chastised for his clumsiness, smacked by Nami, shoved out by Sanji. He had cut his arm on the glass, nothing deep, nothing a couple bandaids from Chopper’s office couldn’t fix, but it still made him a little sad and distressed for some reason. He needed comfort but pushed it away and forgot about it.
So now he’s sitting on the bow of the ship and picking at the bandaids. He wants to go bother you, he needs some comfort, a hug from you seems to be an immediate fix for times like these. And maybe something more, he thinks, like playtime, sort of.
You’re reading a book Robin gave you, curled up on your cabin’s chair, the porthole open next to you for that crisp sea breeze. You’re delighted at those little sandal steps, your door opening, large, glittery eyes looking at you excitedly.
Luffy hops on your bed, rolling on his back and kicking his legs and reaching for you, a teasing grabbing motion with his fists. Absolutely adorable.
You lean over to take his hand, he squirms and giggles at the contact and he’s smiling so brightly.
“[naaame]…” he whines, trying to pull you to him but you pull instead, still holding his stretched arm as you sit back in the chair. He pouts and stretches his other arm out to you.
“No pulling, Luffy,” you say, gently removing one arm from your waist knowing his intention to yank you into bed.
“Please… can we please cuddle… I wanna really bad…” Luffy’s squirming again, begging, you just can’t resist him.
You set down your book, walking over to your bed and sitting by him which makes him squeal in delight and open his arms for a hug. You lay back and pull him up onto you, letting him bury his head in your chest and find a comfortable position as you pet his hair.
He likes to be nurtured. It’s a childish part of him that comes out sometimes, especially when he thinks about his old village and Ace and Sabo and Shanks, when he misses getting to play and explore all day and just be a kid. But he didn’t really have anyone back then to take care of him like this. Makino was the closest, he got a taste of the affection a mother could bring, but mostly he was just raised by himself and his brothers, and bandits, and he wasn’t really ever cuddled or held when he was young. So now you’re his person, he gets to be extra close to you and he’ll never be too much.
And usually he’s more dominant, even in his innocence and softness, he’s your captain and you’re his to take care of and keep safe, he picks you up and carries you and holds you against his chest, you’re his, he likes being in control.
But that doesn’t have to be always.
Those times like now where he paws at you and lays on you all slack like a baby, you just curl up with your arms around him and murmur comforting things in his ear. There’s those deer eyes again, searching, he’s leaning in to kiss you and you catch him halfway with his cheeks squished in your hands. Arms circle your waist needily and this poor boy has squirmed his way between your legs because he wants friction, maybe.
“Lu, hun, what do you want?” you coax gently, tracing his shoulders, you know he wants you so bad but he has to try to say what he wants if he wants something, that’s what you’re teaching him.
“Um… I dunno, I guess uh…” Luffy’s mind is cloudy, he wants your body but he doesn’t know what to ask for so when your thigh comes to naturally rest between his legs he just settles for this, at least.
You laugh lightly as he begins to grind on your leg, hips rutting, rhythmic but messy, he starts making these little whimpering noises in your ear as he rubs himself on you like a puppy in heat. You let him, hugging gently and just laying there listening.
“I… mm! I wanna suck your breasts?” He seems excited to have found words, talking casually as he continues to get himself off on your thigh, aching and growing beneath his pants. You can’t refuse him.
“Sure, hun.” This is perfect because you’re a little tired. Let your boy enjoy himself and relax with him and it’ll all be ok. And you pull off your shirt, you let him see you, and he grins before squeezing you tightly and latching on, suckling gently on your nipple while looking up at you with stars in his soft brown eyes.
“S’ good…” he growls, mouth full, nuzzling and gripping against you.
You lift him into your arms after a few minutes, when he gets teeth-y with your skin, he whines at the loss of contact with his mouth but lets you pick him up and place him in your lap, squeezing his face in your hands, giving him a caring hug.
“Luffy, baby, you want more, huh? C’mon…” You place your hand on the small of his back, rubbing his skin.
“Mmf… I wanna put my dick in you,” he says, voice in the most amount of innocence he could possibly sound with those words. You weren’t expecting this, usually he’s more innocent when you two play, when he asks for something, but you won’t complain.
You smile. You pet him lovingly, gentle praise. You kiss his cheek and then his mouth and he’s still in a teething mood so you need to pull away when he bites your lip, but you press his face into your neck because you always like biting there.
“Want some help?” you coo to him, tugging at his clothes, and he nods happily against you and makes a tiny sound.
His shirt is open, easy to slide off. Glistening warm skin meets the cool sunlight of the porthole, wave reflections, he’s so beautiful when you can see his bare shoulders. You take a moment to lean in and kiss them. And then his jeans, you have to sort of pick him up again to unbutton and remove them and his cock slaps your wrist, no underwear, you ignore your aching need to touch it and continue to take care of him, settling his twitching hips and tossing his clothes to the side.
Soft and bare, dripping with sweetness and innocence, he’s draped on you, sitting in your lap, naked and waiting to be touched in a gentle way.
Your shirt’s off. Now your jeans, your panties, Luffy starts moaning and thrusting into nothing at your scent and the feeling of your skin but you have to calm him.
“No, baby, let’s be patient ok?” You poke his cheek and he whines but just curls into you a little more, trying to wait like you’ve taught him.
You switch the positions of your legs, you’re on his lap, propped up on the bed, sort of straddling him, he’s sitting in front of you with his cock rubbing through your wetness, eyes hooded in pleasure, he’s waiting for your command because he’s yours to comfort and hold and protect right now.
“[naaame]…” he whines in such a little voice, staring up through his hair, begging.
“Move like this…” you murmur, lining up his hips so he can rub against you for a while, and get you wet. He does so in a careful way, biting his lip as he tries not to plunge within you just yet. You’re still so tired, you want lazy, careful sex. But Luffy’s the one who needs to be looked after and cared for right now. Nurture me, is what his eyes say, mind in a space so far away.
So once you’re warmed up and once Luffy’s being tortured by need and the rising and falling of his chest is pressed to you with brutal pressure, you smile and reach down to line him up yourself. He squeaks as he feels the touch of your hand down there, and the cocoon of velvet enveloping him, you can move just be gentle like I taught you, your smile says.
So he does. Instinctual thrusting fueled by pure love and appreciation, his hands reaching to grip your ass and lift you up more against him, he’s getting a little more dominant but just in an excited, playful sort of way. You hold him, you put your arms around his shoulders and breathe in his scent.
“So good, Lu, you’re doing so well…” you whisper in his ear as he works you into pulp, grabby hands, needy whines.
He likes to feel grown up but still be cared for. He doesn’t really know what he’s doing but he likes to be shown how. He likes to be cradled but to feel you so deep, his infinitely loving girlfriend who knows his needs, who would give him the world.
It comes eventually, that confusing knot in his stomach, now is the time he wants to be held the most. You squeeze him so tight and let him squirm in your arms as you carry him in coaxing gentleness through his powerful climax. He drips within you, you’ve claimed him with the comforting warmth of your body.
You make sure to pull him out and wipe him off and even in his hazy, submissive state he still makes sure to rub your hips and thighs and make sure you’re ok and nothing hurt you. “Was that good? Did I do good?” he murmurs as he squirms onto his back in your arms like a cat looking for affection.
“So good.”
Luffy’s restless now, he needs to occupy his mouth which he often does before sleep for self-soothing, and he’s going to nurse right now, curled up in your arms. So he reaches for your breasts again but that’s when you see his arm.
“Hey Lu, what’s that? Did you hurt yourself?” You lift his forearm for examination and he blushes in slight shame. Because you then say, “when did this happen? You shoulda told me!”
“Um, yesterday. I dunno… I fell and broke some glasses and I thought you’d get mad, it’s just a scratch, I’m fine.” He avoids your eyes.
“I’d never be mad at you for something like that, it’s ok, accidents happen.” You run your hand through his hair. “These bandaids aren’t fresh, we gotta get you new ones, hun…”
“N- no! Don’t leave… I don’t wanna let go!” Because he’s attached to you in a tight embrace and can’t picture a world without your arms right now.
“It’ll just be a minute-”
“Carry meee! Please, please, please-” He’s scrambling up your body as you begin to sit up so you let him. You stand up shakily because Luffy is glued to your back, arms around your shoulders and face buried in your neck.
You get bandaids from your cabinet, you have to pry Luffy off of you and let him curl up in your lap again so you can gently change clean and re-bandage his scraped arm. This protective kindness lulls Luffy, it makes him sleepy and happy and like he needs to take a long nap with you which, from the beginning, is what you were excited for. Pulling a curtain over the porthole you’re back to laying on your bed, letting Luffy drift off with his mouth on your breast, calming and grounding for both of you. His hands find yours in his dreamy state, holding on, wanting you to know how much he loves you, in a quiet and innocent way.

You heard your name above all the noise and staticy buzzing in your ears.
It was faint at first, but definitely your name.
Where was it coming from? Who was calling for you?
The crew around you didn’t seem to hear it, too busy cheering and laughing and celebrating to hear it being called.
You didn’t want to celebrate. Not one bit. Especially now when someone was calling for you. Calling for you in a way that had your heart restart and beat in an urgency to find it.
Your name grew clearer and clearer the more you wandered through the crowd searching for whoever was calling for you.
You knew that voice. It was one you hadn’t heard in years but one you needed close now more than ever.
Your eyes burned and blurred as your name was called again. You wanted to call back, but the tightening of your throat gave you pause.
But when the voice began to float in the opposite direction, you fought through the frog in your throat and called his name. A name you hadn’t spoken, hadn’t dared to speak, in three long years.
Your name was shouted now, coming back towards you. You stayed planted in your spot, knowing he would find you as you gave one last call of his name.
The crowd seemed to part and there he was. Shaggy, black hair that needed a good scrub, sun-kissed skin covered in a layering of freckles. His dark, near black, brown eyes eased upon finding you, thin lips pulling at their corners.
He called your name in relief at finally finding you.
“Ace.” You called back, voice wavering despite your wish to keep your upset nature at bay. His name on your lips was all it took to make the man you had missed so desperately rush forward, scooping you up in his strong arms.
He held you close, enveloping you in his sunny warmth you wished to stay within forever. You buried your face in his shoulder, feeling those tears you had tried to keep back begin to wet his skin.
You breathed his smoky scent in deep. A smell that instantly reminded you of back home. Of campfires he would put on for you, Luffy, and Sabo. Fires you and him would sit by late into the night, cuddled up next to each other. It was a smell you had craved to inhale again and nearly sobbed at its return.
“I told you I’d find you again.” He muttered into your neck, placing a soft kiss there. “Didn’t I?” You nodded, holding him just that much tighter as you sucked in a shaky breath. “Let’s get outta here, yeah?”
“Please.” Ace pulled away, holding onto your shoulders as he took in every bit of your face he could. His lips tugged upward once more and you drank in the sight of that smirking smile you loved.
“Damn--I missed you.” And before you could even think to tell him just how much you missed him back, he was grabbing your hand and whisking you out of the crowd and into the chill night air.

Hi! I have a request : an headcanon of sabo, ace and law (separate) react to a usually shy reader asking to bath together ? (I don’t mind any pronouns by the way)
Anyway have a good day/ night and don’t forget to eat and hydrate !!
Ace x GN Reader Law x GN Reader Sabo x GN Reader SFW
Tumblr media
Ace
He laughed when he heard you ask to bathe together, not a mean laugh but one of disbelief. You were just so damn shy that hearing those words from you just tickled him.
Ace blinked a few times when you played with the hem of your sweater and avoided eye contact with him, that was when he stopped laughing and cleared his throat.
“Really?” He asked and you nodded. When you did force yourself to stop staring at the floor and meet his eye you could see a dusting of blush across his freckled cheeks.
That was surprising. The way Ace talked to people, he would brag about flirting with people whenever the ship was docked. But he was shifting in place, the blush growing as he rubbed the back of his neck, mulling it over.
“Yeah, we can if ya wanna?” He wanted, needed, to hear you confirm again. He didn’t want to do anything that would make you feel uncomfortable.
“I do,”
Ace’s unsure smile soon turned into a big grin as he sprung up from his seat and offered you his hand. “Let's go then!” he said, winking, his usual confidence back in full swing once he knew this was your idea and you wanted this as much as him.
“I’ll try to behave,” he said with a playful waggle of his eyebrows which had you rolling your eyes with a chuckle, taking his hand and feeling him pull you eagerly in the direction of the bathroom.
Tumblr media
Law
“Excuse me?” He asked, pausing from what he was doing, setting down the book and looking at you. You felt the weight of his scrutinizing gaze as grey eyes peered into your soul, at least that's how you felt.
Trying not to shrink under the intensity of his stare you bit the inside of your cheek trying to summon up the courage to repeat yourself “I was just curious if you wanted to go have bathe together. I thought it would be romantic.. Relaxing…”
Law sat back in his seat and hummed. “That’s what I thought you said,” He clicked his tongue as he adjusted in his seat. Neither of you were very forward with such things so it had taken him by surprise when his normally shy partner asked such a thing.
“How about a shower instead? I don’t like baths, it’s st-” “Stewing in your own filth, I know, I know.” You grinned when he blinked at you after you finished his sentence. Law crossed his arms over his chest and just chuckled in response. “Yes, a shower sounds great.”
You felt your heart skip a beat, giddy that he had agreed and you watched him stand up, nodding for you to lead the way.
Tumblr media
Sabo
Sabo stared at you with wide eyes when you asked him that, it wasn’t so much that he knew you to be so shy it was his own hangups on his body. He rubbed his arms, scars hidden by the long sleeves as he looked around the room, not wanting to make eye contact with you.
“Really?” He asked, unsure himself. You seemed to deflate at how he was reacting, you thought he would be surprised to hear that coming from you but he seemed sort of against it which made you regret asking for such an intimacy with him.
“You don’t have to, I just thought it might be nice?” You shrugged your shoulders, trying to act like you weren’t upset by his beating around the bush on his way to refusing you.
“No, no, no, it’s not like that!” He waved his hands before grabbing your shoulders when you tried to back out of the situation. “I just… Not many people have seen how I look without clothes…”
You worked it out, everything tumbled into place. It wasn’t you it was how he saw himself.
“Don’t worry about your scars, I love every part of you Sabo.” You said, gently reaching up to rub his cheek, feeling the scar that covered his face. “I promise.” You felt him place his hand on yours and he nodded. “Alright, let's do it,”

rewatching one piece episode 1119 has me thinking a lot about sabo + his emotions
like. you can see in the episode that what happened to king cobra genuinely affected him. he wanted to save king cobra, and he was obviously upset at his inability to save king cobra. and we know from the manga that when he is a stowaway on the ship back to lulusia, he thinks back to king cobra's dying words and has a pained expression.
yet... to dragon and ivankov, he tells them he is okay with what happened if it fuels the flames of the revolution. he keeps a straight face, despite shaking a bit, and does his best to seem unaffected by what happened.
and then i think back to dressrosa, when koala called sabo after he reunited with luffy, and how sabo didn't cry when he saw luffy, but cried after when talking to koala.
and then i remember how young he was when he was named chief of staff. what a heavy burden that is on the shoulders of someone so young. how he has probably forced himself to be strong, to show no weakness or vulnerability because weakness and vulnerability can be used against him and he is responsible for the lives of hundreds if not thousands of people. how he has probably tried to model himself off of dragon, who is stoic and doesn't easily show his emotions. or kuma, who after suffering a massive loss threw himself harder into his work, pushed himself further to achieve their goals.
and it makes me wonder... if we'll ever get to a breaking point with sabo. if something will happen that will just make him snap and lose that mask, that strength he hides his vulnerabilities behind. and i wonder what that would look like.

Can I request a Sanji x Female Reader where the reader is Luffy's older sister? She's younger than Ace and Sabo, but was always the mother-hen of the group. Always taking care of others before herself even if it causes her pain in the process. Her brothers are extremely overprotective of her as she is of them. She may be smaller in size and the sweetest thing, but she is not weak by any means and can hold her own. How would Sanji treat her knowing her self sacrificing nature? And how would the brothers react to her being in her first relationship?
Omg I love this idea! I love writing the Reader being Luffy's sister, it's so much fun. And thinking about how Sabo and Ace would react, omg, I had fun with this one! :) I hope you enjoy it!
Tumblr media
You and Sanji met through Robin, who believed the two of you would be perfect together. She’d told you everything about him and it endeared you to this stranger that worked at the bakery you loved going to, while Sanji was constantly hearing about you from Luffy, though he doesn’t know the two of you are related for a while. You weren’t keeping it a secret for any real reason, just taking things slow with Sanji because it’s your first relationship, you don’t want to rush into things and he’s okay with that too.
Once Sanji realizes how much you sacrifice for others, especially your family, he starts to take over doing somethings for you. If you make dinner for the two of you he does all the dishes, even does that when he’s the one who made dinner. He won’t let you be a ‘yes’ man when people ask for help, if you’re not able to he takes over or just pulls you away so you don’t get in over your head. Sanji becomes protective of you very quickly, trying to keep you safe and from being taken advantage of by others.
It makes him think too much of his mother, and he’s very open with you about his own family and what he went through as he grew up, explaining how his mom gave up so much for him and how his brothers treated him. He felt bad when it made you cry, Sanji tried to console you and you just said how you didn’t understand how siblings could be so mean, yours weren’t anything like that.
Sanji is surprised when you tell him you actually have three brothers, that one of them is Luffy, he never expected it despite him having three himself, he’s glad to hear yours were much nicer than his were. When you laugh and tell him they’re the greatest brothers you could’ve asked for, he feels relieved (and thinks about how he’d like to hear you laugh every day). Sanji doesn’t want to pry too much, so he waits until your next date to ask about your family.
“Well, Luffy is my biological brother, Ace and Sabo were adopted. They’re both a year older than me.”
“So you’re basically the middle child then.”
“Hmm…I guess so!”
Like how Sanji keeps your relationship from his family for now, you’ve kept it from Ace and Sabo just in case they become too overprotective of you. The two scared off most boys that liked you in high school, to the point it frustrated you so much you cried about it to Garp who nearly beat the two over the head for making you upset, even threatened them with military school if they did it again. Ace and Sabo just wanted you to be safe, they knew how sixteen year old boys were, none of them were good enough for you. Even in college they were watchful of any guy you went on a date with, they stalked social media accounts and asked the friends of the guy, but when you’d come back home with a frown saying it wasn’t going to work out, the two would breathe sighs of relief. Honestly, they were just worried for you. You’ve always put others first and willingly given up so much for those around you, you wrangled the three boys like you were their mom half the time, considering your parents weren’t around it made sense. Ace and Sabo didn’t think they could bare the thought of you coming home in tears with a broken heart, they’d want to go kill whoever did it and then come back to comfort you.
Nothing ever stuck as a real relationship, not until you finally met Sanji and started to think this could be the real deal. Its about six months into it when he tells you that he has thoughts about getting married and having children one day, asking for your thoughts on the matters before you talk through it, coming to agreements and it makes you realize that you’re in love with Sanji, and he knew already that he felt the same.
You still wait several months after that before you bring him over to meet them, Luffy already knows and hangs around you both, you’re surprised but grateful he hadn’t told Ace or Sabo about it. You would’ve kept it secret longer, just to be safe, but once Sanji proposes and you accept, you know you’ve got to tell them about it. It makes you nervous just because they’re your brothers, you’ve kept your relationship a secret and now you’re engaged, but Sanji is nervous because he's not sure how Ace and Sabo will react. Even with Luffy saying they’ll be happy for the two of you, he’s expecting two big guys that are ready to pick him up and throw him out like a stray cat.
But he doesn’t expect them to be so excited to see you and trapping you in a hug which Luffy joins. It’s like you haven’t been home in months, but he knows that’s not true. You’re over there every Friday night to catch up with them. Even when you push the two off you, there’s a smile on your face.
“All right, enough, you’re gonna smother me at this rate.”
“Hey, we only see you once a week, it’s not enough time!”
Ace nods in agreement with Sabo, about to pull you into another big hug before the two look at Sanji and their smiles pretty much disappear. They’ve met him before, since he’s friends with Luffy, but now that they know you and Sanji are dating, it makes everything different. You roll your eyes though, going back to Sanji’s side and taking his hand.
“Ace, Sabo, this is—”
“We know.”
“We’ve met him.”
It gets quiet, you aren’t entirely sure what to say and neither is Sanji. Ace and Sabo almost give him a stare down, like they just know already how serious the two of you are, to the point you sigh.
“Yeah, so, Sanji and I are dating. It’s been about a year now.”
“Yeah uh,” Sabo scratches the back of his head, looking away when you raise an eyebrow, “We…we knew that too…”
“…you’ve been stalking my socials haven’t you?”
“Ace did it.”
“What?! Dude, you did too!”
While you start to reprimand Ace and Sabo, Luffy joining in that it was no fun to tell people things when they already knew, Sanji just watches and he’s not sure why, but he can’t help feeling happy and smiling as he watches the four of you.
It's so different from his own family, even though he hasn’t spoken to the majority of them in years. You and your brothers actually seem happy when you talk, your smile tells him you’re not worried about anything, the nerves you’d told him you had about introducing everyone were gone. Sanji is very quick with an offer to make dinner for everyone when you try to start it yourself, making you ask if he’s sure before he gives you a smile.
“You should hang out with your brothers, I can handle it!”
You return the smile before kissing his cheek and going back to the living room, sitting by Luffy as Sabo looks back to you.
“You really like him?”
“Mm-hm, a lot.”
“Does he make you do stuff for him?” Ace calls over the game he and Luffy are playing, not looking away from the TV.
“No, he actually barely lets me do anything at all. Like, I’ll do laundry and he’ll offer to fold it, then still make us dinner…he does way too much for me.”
“Nah, that’s a good thing, sounds like he’s a good guy.”
“Means he’s not taking advantage of you,” Sabo smiles while he nods, “That’s all we were worried about.”
You confirming that Sanji is treating you right, like a princess, lets Sabo and Ace feel like this is good, you’re happy and not acting like there’s something wrong that you’re hiding. You don’t plan to tell then the two of you are actually engaged tonight, but next week instead, only because it’s still the first real meeting between your brothers and Sanji.
You’re really glad it all worked out well, especially when they try his cooking, Ace and Sabo acting like they’ve died and gone to heaven. They quickly demand Sanji has to cone over every Friday night with you and make dinner, something he’s glad to agree to.

Hi!!! I was reading your latest ASL comic and i was wondering how Luffy would react when Ace said they were going to fight Whitebeard, and Ace was defeated
I imagine Luffy protecting Ace from the big old man, like "leave my brother alone, you bully!"
And more importantly, when Ace is isolated from his crew, what would happen to Luffy? Would Ace become part of the WB crew with Luffy there?
Sorry for the amount of questions but i really love ASL with little Luffy, and I have been reading a lot of fan fics like this. YOUR ART IS SO CUTE, THANKS YOU FOR SHARING!!
THANKYU SO MYCH, IM HAPPY U LIKE IT !!!!!
the comic is actually sorta the start of the split custody variant of babylu me and @immortal-raine made !!! when sabo and ace split off (cuz i wanted sabo to still be a rev), their plan is to pass luffy between them every two or so months because 1) it’s fun for him and 2) at least he’s not alone at dawn
before ace challenges whitebeard, he orders sabo to take him for an extra two months. he doesnt elaborate on what he’s gonna do, but sabo knows better than that, so he makes ace lower it to a month and a half and if he isnt back by then, he’s going off to find him and taking luffy with so you better be smart if you don’t want that kind of worry on your conscience, ace
n e ways the deadline passes, ace very obviously did not return, so sabo, fueled by worry and frustration because he’s making luffy sad damn it, sneaks off to find him. luffy’s so distressed by his missed time with ace that he actually listens to what sabo tells him to do and stays hidden
ace is very obviously still in his assassination phase when they show up. sabo, who is mortified that he managed to get himself stuck on an emperor’s ship, without his crew, drags him off to hide
luffy cries a little. ace cries a little because he made luffy cry and also he really missed his brothers. luffy’s stuck to his hip
for a while after sabo decides to stick by ace’s side to make sure he stays safe, luffy is surprisingly dismissive towards anyone other than his brothers. he’s okay with thatch, because he feeds them good, but he actively forces himself to ignore how fun they seem because they made ace upset and his brothers are always first. it’s kind of painful to watch because he’s so determined but also kind of miserable, but he refuses to play with them unless they either apologize or ace and sabo explicitly state they’re okay with them. he’s not built for holding grudges but he tries for their sake
of course, ace stops his assassination attempts when his brothers show up, so he gets the time to observe them better. sabo never leaves his side for the months he’s struggling with his thoughts and decisions, and for that he’s grateful. it’s sabo who ultimately pushes him to join because, after being here so long, he obviously enjoys their company
the day ace and sabo announce that they’re even and ace will join is the day the whitebeards first witness the hurricane that is a restless, understimulated luffy

Oooh can I please request platonic yandere brother Luffy hcs please who’s sister came a marine unlike her brother(s) 🙏 love to hear your thoughts
Sure! Bear with me as I'm not that far into the story yet but I watched some of a video to help me understand more of the world :) So this doesn't focus on an specific plot point. It's a general idea. (I want to write One Piece and I'm impatient-)
Yandere! Platonic! Luffy with Marine Sister! Darling
Pairing: Platonic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Female Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Clingy behavior, Delusional behavior, Kidnapping, Jealousy, Violence, Forced companionship.
Tumblr media
You were already quite different from your fellow foster brothers.
First of all, you were the only foster sister of them.
While you were fostered in the same family as Luffy, Ace, and Sabo... you didn't have the same goals.
Unlike them you didn't want to be a pirate.
At least, not after your experience with the Bluejam Pirates.
Before you all went your separate ways, Luffy was probably the closest with you.
He often spoke to you about becoming "King of The Pirates", often wanting you to join him.
You'd simply nod and smile, not having the heart to tell him that you didn't want to be a pirate after your experiences.
Secretly you hoped he would give up the goal as you loathed the idea of harming him in the future.
Pirate or not, you still saw him and Ace primarily as your brothers.
However, even if you hated the thought of being a pirate, you played and cared for Luffy + Ace all the same.
You still felt you should be supportive of your brothers, even comforting Luffy as Sabo's supposed "death" and Ace's departure.
For a while it was just you and Luffy, your younger brother still just as excited to be a pirate.
Luffy respected you when you were younger, often coming to you for adventure.
When you four were together you often loved to cause trouble on the island.
Although, Luffy noticed you weren't as into it when you were older.
The thought upset him.
Luffy would always ask why you don't want to hang out anymore.
You would brush him off, but Luffy is known to be stubborn.
Eventually you know you can't keep him in the dark for much longer.
You want to leave this island, it's about time you did.
Sabo's gone, Ace is off to be a pirate, the only one you have now is Luffy.
Luffy was 16 almost 17 by the time you decided to leave the island, you were 19.
He had grown attached to you, even though you no longer wished to partake in your pirate games.
When Luffy confronted you, you admitted you were planning to leave the island.
Luffy protests, saying how he wanted to start a pirate crew with you.
However, you shut him down, ignoring how your brother clung to you.
"Maybe we'll meet again in the future?" You bring up, making Luffy pause for a moment.
"You want to explore those vast seas and become the Pirate King, don't you?" You push a melancholy smile on your face.
"Yeah!" Luffy chirps in an excited tone. "But... I wanted to do it with you, sis...."
"I have my own journey to take..." You sigh, giving him one last hug. "But I'm sure we'll meet again in those waters."
Luffy was reluctant to let you leave, but with some convincing, he let his sister go.
About half a year later Luffy sets off on his own journey, starting the events of One Piece.
While your brothers had roles against the government... you had managed to find your place in the Marines/Navy.
You had been pardoned for past crimes and were given a recommendation to enlist due to your knowledge in firearms and tactics.
Throughout the years you even managed to rank as an officer, often being considered a useful asset within the Marines.
You never forgot about your brothers.
No, how could you when you often saw wanted posters and heard rumors?
You heard of Ace and internally smiled to know he was doing well.
You heard rumors of Sabo but were skeptical on the legitimacy of the claims.
Then you heard of Luffy... the rumors making your heart clench.
It was definitely your Luffy... you could see that in the posters.
It seemed like he put together a crew of his own, which impressed you.
Although... you hated the idea of being enemies.
As Luffy's journey progresses, you keep more of an eye on him than the usual pirates.
Other Marines, including a fellow officer you're partnered with, would occasionally notice you looking over a wanted poster of Luffy.
They think it's because he's garnering a reputation... which is partially true.
But you have different reasons.
You silently hope you never have to confront your old brothers.
You can deal with other pirates, that's no issue.
Yet you have too much of an attachment to Luffy and Ace.
Unfortunately, fate was just as cruel as the waters you sailed on.
Eventually you encountered Luffy since he managed to catch the eye of the Marines once again.
Reluctantly you're put on the field, sat right in front of Luffy.
Luffy paused his fighting once your presence was announced, your name still familiar in his mind.
Then he saw you.
You looked similar to how you once looked back on the island... yet were dressed completely in Marine gear.
Not the usual stuff, either.
You were high in rank.
Luffy felt... betrayed yet also... excited to see you again.
It's been, what, two years later?
You're both adults now yet with such different paths.
You two most likely fight, even though you're both not into it.
You keep trying to say you'll leave him alone if he turns back, if he just stops this.
Meanwhile Luffy keeps trying to convince you to join his crew even now.
Imagine if by the end of your confrontation Luffy does everything in his power to capture you.
He plays it off as wanting to take you as a hostage.
His crew goes along with it, but they can tell Luffy has a past with you.
You fight him the best you can but eventually are forced to surrender.
Imagine if Luffy kept you tied on the ship, still trying to play off the role of kidnapping a hostage until you're out at sea with his crew.
After that, Luffy becomes overly friendly.
He's excitedly rambling to you about how much he's missed you, not quite believing that you'd willingly join the Marines.
He just thinks maybe his sister was captured and forced into the role!
Yes, you must just be misguided.
After all, you two were meant to be pirates together!
I can see him excitedly rambling about Ace and maybe even Sabo to you, saying he's seen them again on his journey and now he's finally found you...!
He's too delusional to consider you an enemy.
Zoro and Usopp keep saying how you're a prominent Marine officer, obviously confused on how he knows you.
Only for Luffy to chime in that you're brother and sister.
You correct him by saying you were foster siblings, but Luffy brushes that off.
It becomes clear to the others and you that Luffy didn't take you as a hostage.
He took you onto the ship in an attempt to change your mind again.
Luffy's dragging you around the ship in your ropes to meet his crew, never keeping an arm off you.
You clearly look annoyed... but part of you is happy to see him again.
Although you know he'll never understand you....
Luffy holds you on his ship in an attempt to convert you into being a pirate.
Which you're forced to be put through.
Even if you tell Luffy you hate pirates, he doesn't believe you.
You can't hate pirates... all your siblings are pirates...!
Luffy is definitely just ignoring the facts.
Even his crew can see your irritation when Luffy clings to you like some affectionate child scared to lose you again.
The Marines no doubt want his sister back, but Luffy is definitely prepared to use violence to prevent that.
When the Marines try to take you back, Luffy taunts them by saying you don't want to be a Marine anymore.
Which is a lie, you do, but it's not like Luffy will acknowledge that.
Luffy would probably ask Nami to get you new clothes that aren't Marine clothes.
You're reluctantly forced to change into different attire to make you more "pirate-like".
You love your brother, you really do...
You just wish this wasn't the thing he decided to pull.
Would Luffy kill to keep you? I can see it happening.
He's determined to have you part of his crew, both pirates looking for adventure.
His charisma and persistence may wear you down.
Plus, you dread the sight of blood on his clothes...
It usually isn't his, based on the cold look in his gaze.
Perhaps you give in, accepting your fate.
Your acceptance makes him ecstatic, clinging to you as he recounts fantasies he's had since he was young.
Seeing a glimpse of the young boy Luffy used to be with you makes you smile...
Although your eyes water when you realize just what you've gotten yourself into.
Now you're forced to be on the run... yet Luffy doesn't care...
Now you two can finally be pirates together as you were always meant to be...!
"I can't wait for you to meet Ace and Sabo with me again...! It's been so long!"

Under The Microscope, Part 4
Tumblr media
on Ao3 18+ MDNI
Links to the other parts
Your hands were violently shaking and your heart was racing in your chest. If Sabo didn’t want money and he didn’t want you for your scientific research, why did he want you at all? You didn’t think he wanted to kill you, he probably would have done that already and not wasted supplies on you. Someone like him didn’t need someone like you for romance, he could have anyone he wanted. Not knowing your purpose made your anxiety skyrocket. Sabo’s eyes flicked to your shaking hands. He reached out and held them in his own gloved ones, keeping them still.
“Don’t be upset. Nothing will happen to you. I didn’t take you out of that base to harm you.” He spoke to you in a soft tone, like he was gentling an animal. Even though you’d had the same thought yourself, it didn’t make you feel any better hearing it from Sabo. The boat started rocking a little, bringing back your nausea. But you powered through, you wanted some answers only Sabo could provide.
“I don’t - I don’t understand. Why did you take me then?” You tried pulling your hands from his but Sabo didn’t let go. He gripped your hands even tighter, looking you in the eyes.
“I told you. They don’t deserve you. They didn’t value you or take care of you. So I will.” The blood drained out of your face as you realized Sabo had never been joking. He had been serious the entire time, thinking that you were some inept fool who couldn’t take care of yourself. The thought made your face hot with humiliation as his stare bored into your face.
“They did value me. I liked being a Marine,” you rebutted weakly, looking away from his intense stare. You weren’t lying, there were some parts of being a Marine that you’d liked.
“No, they didn’t. You don’t have to be a Revolutionary, but you’re not going back.” You looked away, face getting hotter still. What did he know about you? Your ambitions, your dreams? How could he say with certainty that you’d want to be with your captor and his army? Sabo brought your hand to his face and kissed the back of your hand, breaking you out of your thoughts. His warm lips lingered a bit too long on your skin, like he was savoring the moment. “Try not to worry, it’s not good for your health.” You almost let out a hysterical laugh - worrying was not good for your health? What about being drugged and kidnapped against your will? You yanked your hands back from Sabo.
“So, that’s it then? You’re keeping me at the Revolutionary Army HQ for the rest of my life?” you hissed at him. Sabo was contemplative but still looking at your shaking hands, not upset in the slightest.
“Probably not the rest of your life, we’re going to overthrow the World Government soon enough. Plans might change once we do,” Sabo replied evenly. This time a hysterical laugh did escape from you. He didn’t seem bothered by how upset you were, which was in stark contrast to his tender care of you during the previous days, fretting over your every need. Your stomach lurched again.
“I want my clothes back,” you said in a quiet but angry voice. You didn’t want to be wearing Sabo’s clothes anymore. They smelled and were soaked in sweat but you also wanted to regain a sense of self. You were a Marine, no matter what Sabo thought he could do to you.
Sabo’s POV
“Oh, they’re gone. I burned them,” Sabo said, still staring at you. He agreed you needed to change clothes, but you’d only be wearing his. At least until you got to the first stopping point tomorrow. Then unfortunately he’d have to provide you with something more substantial to wear. You paled with Sabo’s last statement. Sabo didn’t want to upset you but he needed you to understand in no uncertain terms that your engagement with the Marines was over. Permanently. “I can give you something else to wear, if you’d like. I imagine you want to change after a few days wearing the same thing.” You didn’t answer, Sabo could tell you were thinking over all his words. Still, he got up and went to his trunk, rummaging around for something you could wear. He found a short sleeved tunic he hadn’t worn in months. He grabbed it as well as a fresh towel and washcloth, handing them to you. “Would you like a shower?” He could tell that it caught your interest.
“Yes, please,” you said, taking the bundle from him quickly. You looked ill again, like you were shortly going to be nauseous. Even so, Sabo had noted that your bouts of seasickness were getting farther apart. Maybe you’d be able to go to the top deck by the end of the afternoon.
“Follow me, it’s not attached to this room. It’s communal so let me check first to make sure no one’s in there.” You hesitated, clutching the bundle to your chest. Sabo put his hand on the back of your neck, bringing you warmth once more. “You’re safe,” he stated. “I’ll be with you the whole time.”
“W-what?” you looked at him in shock and tried to shift his hand off of you. Sabo raised an eyebrow and kept his arm in place.
“You’ve been sick for two days and had to have multiple bags of IV fluids. I can stay right outside the shower door but I’m not going any farther than that.” You looked at him angrily, almost like he betrayed you, and tried handing him back the towel, moving his arm off your neck.
“I don’t want to shower.” Sabo contemplated his choices for a moment. He could force you, could make you shower with him in the room. But that would destroy everything he worked so hard to build. He looked at your face, which was getting paler by the moment. He shifted tactics, gently pushing your hand holding the towel back to you.
“I’ll make a deal with you. If you don’t vomit in the next five minutes, I’ll let you shower completely alone,” Sabo bargained. You looked at him suspiciously but your eyes flicked to the towel in your hands. Sabo knew he’d won this round.
“Ok. But if I don’t throw up, I’ll be alone in the shower? Completely? You won’t be outside the shower door?” Sabo nodded solemnly.
“Absolutely.” You huffed and sat down on the bed. Sabo wasn’t a betting man, but in this case, he wasn’t worried. He watched you clutch at the towel so hard your knuckles were white. You tried closing your eyes and laying back on the bed. None of it helped. You made it two two and a half minutes before he handed you a bucket. By three minutes, you’d vomited. Sabo came up behind you and moved your hair out of your face. He put a warm hand between your shoulder blades after you’d finished, stroking your exhausted muscles tenderly. He was sure you didn’t realize, but once he’d put his hand on your back, you inhaled a deep breath, relaxing a little. Sabo smiled to himself.
“You see? What if this happened in the shower and you were alone? Or if you passed out again? I’m not doing this to be intrusive, I don’t think you can be by yourself right now.” You didn’t reply, just wiped your mouth with the back of your hand, eyes still closed. If Sabo wanted to be intrusive, he would shower with you, he thought. He certainly wanted to.
“Yeah, I guess,” you said glumly. Sabo dropped it, not needing to prove his point any further. After a moment, you opened your eyes and swung your feet over the bed.
“Let’s get this over with,” you grumbled.
Your POV
You didn’t want Sabo with you, but you desperately wanted a shower. Maybe it would help you feel like a human being again. He led you to the bathroom, holding the door open for you to enter. You wondered when he’d drop the gentleman routine, he behaved like some noble or something. You fiddled with the towel in your hands.
“Can I at least undress by myself? It…I won’t take long.” Sabo nodded, he hadn’t even entered the bathroom yet.
“Of course, knock on the door when you’re done. If I don’t hear from you in a few minutes, I’m going to come in.” You were grateful you’d have some privacy, even if it was temporary. Sabo closed the door and you stripped quickly, wrapping the large towel around yourself. You started the shower, waiting for the water to get hot, then knocked on the door. Sabo cracked open the door.
“Ready for me?” he asked. You didn’t answer, just pulled the door open even further. You weren’t ready for him , you were ready for the shower. You felt exposed by wearing so little near him, but you’d lost the bet. The water was steaming so you wanted to get in quickly before the hot water ran out. You opened the wooden shower door, grateful that it would obscure some of your body. Sabo would be able to see you from the calf down and the top of your head, but that was no big deal. You threw the towel to hang over the door and started rinsing the accumulated grime off your body. The hot water was almost too warm for you but you enjoyed the sensation, getting lost in the momentary reprieve from stress and anxiety.
Someone had left some pleasant smelling soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower, the familiar scent of sandalwood and jasmine entering your nose. Where had you smelled it before? You didn’t really care, it was nice enough. Your hair was so tangled, you didn’t think you’d ever be able to get a comb through it again. You tried starting with the ends but you gave up and just threw conditioner in there while you scrubbed your body with the washcloth. Maybe you’d leave it in there and wash it out in the room sink later. You spent a few minutes zoning out and washing, thinking about nothing.
“Everything OK?” Sabo asked. You almost jumped, he had been so quiet you’d forgotten he was there while you enjoyed the water.
“Y-yeah.” You didn’t want to engage Sabo in conversation while you were still naked. You figured he was telling you to turn off the water, so you rinsed your hair quickly, leaving some of the conditioner in. You were hoping it would work like a leave-in, allowing you to detangle later. Shutting off the shower, you grabbed the towel over the door and wrapped yourself up. You opened the door and saw Sabo leaning against the wall. It wasn’t a large bathroom, you weren’t sure where he’d go when you were changing. But you didn’t even have to ask before Sabo left, telling you to come out when you were done. You tried rinsing off the sudsy washcloth in the sink, but it had cracked, making it non functional.
After Sabo brought you back to your room, you crawled into the bed. You hadn’t done much but you were exhausted. You wrapped your hair in a towel, you’d deal with it later. You snuggled into the pillow, inhaling deeply. Ah. There was the familiar smell. You’d used Sabo’s toiletries. Well, it was nice that he left them for you. Drifting off to sleep, you hoped you’d get a few hours of rest before the nausea returned.
You woke up confused. The sun was low in the sky, had you slept all day? You were feeling better, you thought you were mostly done with the seasickness since it was nearly day three. Getting out of the bed, you walked around the cabin, surveying what was there. Sabo was right, this was a small boat without much on it. You knew he’d locked you in before, but out of curiosity you tested the doorknob. It turned. Maybe Sabo had forgotten to lock you in after your shower? Or maybe this was a test to see what you would do? You gnawed on your bottom lip, unsure what to do. Surely he wouldn’t be mad at you for leaving the room, it was his own fault it wasn’t locked. On the other hand, you didn’t really know Sabo at all. Maybe this would set him off and you’d be burned to bits. Deciding to take a risk, you turned the knob slowly, trying to be as quiet as possible. You opened the door, peeking out to see if anyone was watching. No one was there, so you crept along the hallway as fast as you could. Maybe you could find something useful for…whatever your next step would be.
Tip toeing through the hall, you heard Sabo in conversation with a woman through a door that had been left ajar. You hadn’t met anyone else on board, so you weren’t sure who it was. They sounded close, like they’d worked together for a long time. You strained to hear them.
“- not a good idea, Sabo. What were you thinking?” The woman sounded exasperated.
“I didn’t want to leave her there. She’s a valuable asset.” You couldn’t see him, but you were guessing Sabo’s arms were crossed. You had been right, he wanted you for your research abilities and fruit powers, he lied to you. He probably thought he could get you to do research for the RA, and hiding his motives would help him.
“That wasn’t the assignment, and you know it. You were supposed to neutralize her, not kidnap her.”
"The assignment was to neutralize the work being completed, not the scientist in charge,” Sabo rebutted. You backed away instinctively. They were casually arguing about murdering you. Leaving the cabin had been a mistake, you didn’t know any of these people or what they were capable of.
“What are you going to tell Dragon? And what are you going to do with her?” Sabo sighed loudly.
“Let me worry about that. She’s mine. And she’s staying with me.”
“On the island?” The woman sounded incredulous.
“For now.” You backed away from the conversation, wanting to get back to the cabin before Sabo saw you were out. Your hands were shaking so hard you were having difficulty working the knob. You finally managed to get it open and dart inside just as you heard footsteps coming down the hallway. You jumped into the bed, trying to look natural. The footsteps stopped outside the door, turning the knob. Sweating, you sat up on the bed, hoping Sabo didn’t come in. You were a bad liar, he would figure out you eavesdropped immediately. But the door never opened, you just heard the sound of the key turning, locking you in again. You weren’t sure that made you feel any more comfortable. You laid in bed for what felt like hours, twisting in anxiety about the conversation you'd overheard. You wanted to know more but weren't sure how to get the information without making it clear you'd listened in. Spying was not in your wheelhouse.
Taking a shaky breath, you reached for the cup on the nightstand and refilled it from the pitcher. Sabo had been bringing them to you to help with rehydration since the previous night. You drained it in one long chug, putting the cup back on the stand. Even though you had slept all afternoon, you were tired again. It made sense, you hadn’t slept for a long time during the storm and while you were sick. You yawned and leaned back on the bed, turning over to your side. You might as well sleep now, you were locked in the room anyway. Nothing else to do, you thought, drifting off.
The next day, you woke up in the late morning. You were warm and cozy, and basked in the feeling. The bed was rumpled, but you sometimes moved around a lot in your sleep, that wasn’t unusual. You stretched and raised your arms over your head, touching your hair. Oh, right. You hadn’t detangled it. It probably looked like a rat’s nest, you really did have to deal with it before it became a problem. You rewet your hair in the small attached sink, hoping your makeshift leave in worked at least a little. You didn’t see a comb or mirror in the room, so you sat on the bed, trying to detangle with your fingers. After a few minutes, you heard the sound of the door unlocking. Sabo came in, bringing with him a tray of food. You hadn’t had solid food other than crackers for days, so the smell of fresh eggs and sausage made your mouth water. Sabo set the tray down, watching you with your fingers in your hair.
“Do you want help?” Sabo asked, removing his top hat from his head. He had a pipe strapped to his back, which you hadn’t seen before.
“Help with what?” You were confused, you weren’t sick. What would he help you with?
“Detangling your hair. I used to do it for my younger brother all the time. He’d get bits of grass, leaves, even bugs in there.” It seemed a little too intimate for a captor to offer to his captive. You tried to decline.
“No, but if you had a mirror that would help.” Sabo frowned at you.
“Your arms are tired and aching. You don’t have to do everything yourself. Let me help you, you can eat while I work on your hair.” You bit your lip. Remembering the neutralizing conversation from yesterday, you didn’t want to upset Sabo. If this made him happy, it wouldn’t be the worst thing. Besides, he was right, your arms were already aching and you’d barely started.
“Alright. But I don’t have a brush.” Sabo reached into his jacket pocket and brought out a small brush with flourish. You situated yourself on the chair in front of the writing desk and Sabo stood behind you. Picking at the food on the plate, you felt Sabo’s body heat on your back, as he carded through your hair. He started detangling your hair at the ends in the most tender and gentle way you’d ever felt, occasionally massaging your scalp after a particularly knotted section. You nearly moaned from the repeated contact. You knew you were touch starved and lonely but didn’t realize someone taking care of you could bring such satisfaction. You wanted to lean back into him and purr. Your hair was nothing special, but he held it like it was made of gold. You didn’t speak and neither did he. He was absorbed in taking care of your hair and you were glad for the reprieve from awkward conversation.  Once he was done, he kissed the top of your head, took the now empty tray and left the room without another word. Your eyes opened wide, what the hell was that?
Sabo POV
Sabo wanted to claw out his good eye for kissing the top of your head without warning. He didn’t regret it, it had felt so natural and right in the moment. But the look of confusion and alarm you’d had after made him realize his misstep. It wasn’t his fault, really. You’d been driving him wild, it was only natural for his affection to come out somehow. It had been pure bliss to offer you affection and for you to accept it. You’d let him in a slight bit, letting him care for you when you weren’t ill. It was a step in the right direction and he hoped he hadn’t derailed it too much by kissing you afterwards, even if it was on the top of the head. A kiss on the head could be brushed off as platonic, he rationalized.
His feelings towards you were anything but platonic though. When you’d been in the shower, he had been gripping the sink so hard he’d cracked it. He wanted to see your naked form so badly, but he knew it wasn’t the time. He contented himself by wondering what you looked like, what color your nipples would be, how sweet your pussy would taste. There would be a time, hopefully soon, where you would want to show him what you looked like naked and Sabo could hardly wait. He would take all the time you needed, he had plenty of it. While your mind was wandering off, forgetting he was there, he heard you softly humming to yourself. It was so endearing and cute, and Sabo now had evidence that you were feeling protected and safe enough to let your guard down.
And yes, he had been drugging your water. Not very much, but by the time you’d had four or five cups, you’d be sleepy. It was a little habit forming, but nothing dangerous to your health. He couldn’t help it! After the first time you’d let him hold you all night long, he was addicted. He needed to feel you in his arms, knowing you were safe with him. Sabo loved watching you while you slept, curled up and warm. He purposely kept the window open at night making the room cold, so you would seek his body heat.  You nestled into him like a little cat, rubbing your face on his chest. How could he resist your charm? Besides, it was ok that he drugged you, it was in your benefit. You’d been sleep deprived for so long, this would help you get back to better health.
Now on the deck, Sabo saw that the boat was finally arriving at the destination, it was time to go. He took his kerchief out of his pocket and got the keys to his room out of his pocket. Re-entering the room, he walked over as you were reclining on the bed, reading the book that he’d left out. It was a history of the Revolutionary Army, maybe you’d find it interesting.
“Time to go, the boat is docking.” You looked up at him, noting the fabric in his hands. “I’m sorry, I need to blindfold you. The locations of RA safe houses are secret.” You looked skittish and if you could have run, you probably would have. Sabo knew he didn’t have to blindfold you, there wasn’t a way you’d get off the island without him. Besides, it’s not like you knew where they were, you’d been completely out of commission during the trip. But Sabo wanted you to rely on him, cementing the idea that you needed him. You swallowed and nodded. Sabo gently but firmly tied the kerchief around your eyes, making sure it was completely blocking your vision.
“Put your hands in mine, we’ll go slow together.” You blushed at his words, but Sabo hadn’t meant them in any kind of entendre. Still, it was nice to know he wasn’t the only one with romance on the mind. You raised your shaking hands and Sabo took them in his own. He still hadn’t taken off his gloves around you, but it might happen in the future. You clutched at his hands, afraid and unsure, swiveling your head as if you could see. “It’s alright, I’ve got you,” Sabo said softly, his thumb rubbing circles on the top of your hand. He helped you to standing and guided you out of the room. Koala was in the hall, preparing to move her things into the cabin, and gave Sabo a quizzical look. Koala thought this whole endeavor was foolish. Sabo knew she didn’t dislike you as a person, she disliked the deviation from the orders. She would come to see how wonderful you were, just like Sabo had, and she was always nervous around new people. Sabo guided you slowly to the top deck, where the plank to the dinghy was. Every step of the way he verbalized what was happening, to make you feel at ease. “One large step up, we’re at the entrance to the stairs,” he said, moving his hand to grip at your arm. It took a while to get to the deck, but Sabo wanted it to last as long as possible.
You kept turning your head, trying to get as much information as you could with your limited sensory input but Sabo knew you weren’t getting much. Reaching the gangway, Sabo informed you that you would be carried. Not waiting for a response, he picked you up, causing you to squeak. He’d carry you as much as you’d allow, which didn’t seem to be much. Crossing over to the tiny boat, he sat you in his lap on the dinghy.
“H-hey, let me sit by myself!” you protested, trying to feel for the seats. Your squirming wasn’t helping his growing erection, he hoped you couldn’t feel it.
“If you want to be rocked by the waves and vomit all over yourself, sure. If I hold you, I can keep you more secure.” Sabo startled to lift you off his lap, but you stopped him.
“No, it’s OK. I’ll stay.” You already looked a little green, Sabo thought, rubbing your back. Luckily, the trip to the shore was exceedingly short. Sabo carried you off the little boat, sad for the loss of contact. Setting you on the sandy shore, Sabo reached to the tie of the blindfold.
“I’m going to untie your blindfold now. It’s a small island, please don’t try to escape. It won’t work and I’ll have to restrict your freedom more. It will make us both unhappy.” Sabo wasn’t actually worried about you escaping - you were on an uncharted island and even if you managed to get to a boat, your seasickness wouldn’t let you get far. But he still wanted to warn you, just in case. He untied the cloth, folding it back into a square and placing it in his pocket. You squinted, adjusting to the light. You looked around at the island, trying to determine where you were. You saw the little house Sabo had been living in for for about a year.
“Is it just us on the island?” you looked around quickly, probably trying to guess if there were others who could potentially help you.
“No, not just us. I’ll introduce you to my brother, Ace.”

Revenge and Teasings ( Asl x sister!reader)
A/N: Yall, I COOKED; we got some of that ASL action up in here 🫦. Will this make you guys forgive me for leaving you unfed for two days? We got those polled jobs; I think we all agreed on these guys’ jobs. I didn’t ask about Luffy cause he has a canonically modern au job given by Oda 👀 . Guys, I researched Law and firefighting for a few hours for this. Im a teacher, so thankfully, I didn't have to research that one. Also, beware, this does address abusive relationships, but dw, I also included a lot of wholesomeness at the end cause; hello?

The three Brothers find themselves in the living room, Ace and Luffy roughhousing while Sabo sighs, trying to separate them.
Their usual antics were halted as the door to the house slammed open and closed, their little sister standing at the door, tears going down her face.
“O-Oh hey, you guys are all here earlier!” She exclaims hastily, wiping her face
The fighting paused as all three paused and stared, Sabo nodding.
"Yeah… I only had a short meeting with a client today; Ace just had a PD day, and Luffy didn’t have a shift today… are you okay, Reader?”
He asked her, glancing at her; her eyes were puffed up, her hair was everywhere, and her clothes were covered with dirt
“Yeah! Yeah! Just had a little stumble outside; it was so embarrassing since everyone saw it and got overwhelmed,” she replies quickly, trying to fix the mess in her hair
The brothers all glanced at each other and then back to Reader, who clearly was lying.
Ace narrowed his eyes at her.
"You’re lying."
Luffy nodded also.
“Yeah, you’re really bad at lying when you’re upset. What’s wrong?”
“You caught me.”
She laughs
“The administration called me out today; one of my co-workers complained about how I ran the classroom; I was so upset I lost balance on my bike and fell,” she winced, rubbing her nose.
“To make matters worse, now I have a bunch of paperwork to do, thanks to her, so I have to get started on that,” she groans, walking up the stairs
“I’ll be downstairs for dinner!” she calls as she enters her room, closing the door behind her
“….”
“Since when does she call the other teachers ‘co-workers’? She always calls them by name when telling us about them, doesn’t she?” Sabo questions
“It’s absolute bullshit that anyone would complain about her classroom, I’ve seen her lesson plans, and they are one of a kind; there's no way anyone could complain about them,” Ace adds
“And why was she so worked up over paperwork…? She always loves doing it; she was one of those weirdos who loved having something to do…., especially for her kids.”
“She definitely lying again….” Sabo concludes, getting up.
“Let me talk to her!” Luffy exclaims, shooting up
“I think it’s best we all go together; if we go alone, she will easily be able to brush us off or lie again; it’s harder to do that with three people onto you.”
“Okay then, let’s go,” Ace said, getting up as well and climbing up the stairs
“Reader? Can you open up for a minute?”
“Y-Yeah! Just give me a minute!” She screamed, sounds of her scrambling being heard
“Hey, I thought I told you guys I had paperwork to do?” she nervously smiled as she opened the door
“ We know you are l-“ Luffy starts but is cut off as Ace quickly wraps his arms around him, covering his mouth
“We know you’re having a crappy day, but we thought that since we were all here, we would spend some time together,” Sabo cuts in with a gentle smile on his face
“O-oh, well…yeah, come in then!” She said, opening the door wider with a smile
After some whispering between Ace and Luffy, the brothers pile in; Ace sits in her desk chair while Luffy throws himself on her bed next to her, and Sabo takes a seat on the bed, glancing at her
"Hey, what’s this reader?” Luffy said, raising his sister’s sleeve to reveal a dark bruise on her wrist.
“Oh, that! Well, like I said, I had a pretty bad tumble on the bike.”
“You have another one forming on your face. Luffy points out.”
“Yeah… I must have been really unlucky; I fell on my face when I fell.”
Sabo narrowed his eyes at her; after so many cases and long days at the court, he had grown excellent at deciphering body language; it became second nature for him to spot mannerisms that hinted towards the person’s insincerity or anxiousness.
Mannerism, such as constantly shifting their eyes between different people in the room, the way they begin to scratch at their nose more often than usual, playing with their hair to try to ease the anxiety or the slight tilt they did towards the door, an escape route if they were discovered; all of these he could easily spot in his sister.
Luffy glanced at the bruises, experience of running in and out of burning buildings, and helping people in hazardous and unfortunate situations; he had seen all types of injuries and had become used to them, become used to identifying their origin
Scrapes and open skin from high-speed accidents, abrasions on the skin from hazardous materials being misused or leaked, and even bruises and injuries from civil unrest situations. He had enough experience to be able to tell injuries from a bike stumble to man-made injuries.
Ace glanced at her sister; because of his job, he was obligated to be certified in specific areas, mandatory reporting being one of them.
Because he spent all day with the children, he had to be able to spot any abusive indicators, inconsistencies in their stories, malnutrition, the children’s reaction to their parents, and weird marks on their bodies. Although he had been trained on how to apply this with his first-grade students, the same principle could be applied to any person of any age that presented these indicators, indicators that he could clear as day see on his sister
The brothers glance at each other, and ever the one to take the lead, Luffy is the first one to speak up
“Shishi, really? Do you need any help bandaging the scrapes?” he offers
“Scrapes? I don’t have any scrapes, Luffy”
“Hah? That’s weird; when people fall off their bikes they usually have lots of scapes; you don’t have any, just some pretty bad bruises,” he points out
“W-Well I-
“People who have been in biking accidents, or just falling in general, usually have lots of injuries in their hands, seeing as it is our instinct to protect our face and to slow our fall., you however, have none of those weird..” Continued Sabo
"W-Well, I have no self-preser-
“It’s weird despite having so much paperwork to do and being outed by one of your co-workers, these lesson plans are all completed, and there are footnotes all around from your co-workers seems they really liked your ideas and need you to help them implement them on their own classroom, wonder what kind of person would ask advice from someone they think is doing their job wrong” Ace comments picking up the various papers littered on her desk
“H-Hey don’t tou-
“You aren’t going to lie again, right?” Ace cuts in
“Because I mean, you really suck at it,” Luffy adds
“Do we wanna try another round of you telling a convincing story?” Ace adds, glancing at her
“I -I…” she tries to find the right words but hangs her head after failing to do so
“That’s unfair; you guys are teaming up and using your jobs against me.”
“It’s not fair? Not fair for who?” Sabo raises a brow.
“We are just calling you out on your bullshit, which is pretty nice of us,” Ace comments in a deadpan voice
“Usually, with everyone in the law, we would tear you to shreds until you said the truth. You should be thankful for being so lucky that we’re your brothers,” Sabo adds
“Can I do anything to make you guys drop this?”
“Nope,” Luffy said without hesitation
She groans, throwing herself in her pillow head-first
Ace sighed, joining his siblings on the bed and easily picking his sister up, sitting in her place, placing her on his lap, and hugging her
“Please let us help you; we promise we will deal with anything you may be going through.”
“Nothing wrong,” she says quietly
“N-nothing’s wrong,” she repeats, a slight crack in her voice as tears start pooling in her eyes
“Nothing…Nothing is wrong,” she says as she begins sobbing, gripping his brother's clothes tightly as she cried into him, the same way she did when they were children
The brothers all stayed still; Ace stroked her hair comfortingly and patted her back as she broke down in tears. Despite them all being grown up and having seen their share of violence and trauma, this still made the brothers' hearts bleed, seeing their youngest sibling hurt.
Luffy pulled her into a hug, his rubber arms embracing her tightly, letting her sob into his arms while Sabo patted her back in support.
"Hey now, it's okay; you can tell us the truth now; we aren't gonna be mad."
“I can’t; I can’t. “
"You can, we promise, we are all adults; we aren’t gonna lash out at you for telling us the truth," Sabo said firmly
"No matter what you say, or what has happened, we will always be here for you" Ace reassures her
“No, He said he would hurt you,” she cries
The brothers all freeze at her words; their smiles falter, and their faces all drop, their hearts all break.
Luffy pushes out slightly from their embrace, grabbing her hands and looking her in the eyes
“Reader. Tell us who did this, no matter who it is, we’ll kick his ass! We won’t be done in by some idiot; you’re always there for us, so let us carry your burden this time!” Luffy exclaims
“I don’t want you guys to get hurt; I couldn’t live with myself if my brothers got hurt because of me,”
“Don’t be an idiot!” luffy screams at her, shaking her, ignoring his brothers' protests
“We’re already hurt from seeing you get hurt and not being able to do anything! It hurts more seeing you get hurt!”
Her eyes widen at his words as her sobs become more frantic
Ace quickly pulls his little sister from Luffy before pulling her into a big bear hug and kissing her forehead affectionately
“We’ll be fine, just please tell us who it was; we promise we’ll handle this; as your big brothers, it’s our responsibility to protect you, and to do that, we have to know who did this to you,” his voice was tender and kind. All the fire that was in him earlier has dimmed and was taken over by nothing but brotherly concern.
“E-E-Enel,” she sobs out
Ace is the first to react, turning his sister toward him
“Enel? The asshole who kept harassing you back at the host club? I thought we left him behind when we left that job?”
“After we got our jobs in Newgate School, he managed to find my contact,” she cries
“He said if I stopped seeing him, he would go after you guys. He said he would destroy your careers and your lives, and then he would go after my kids.”
Ace sighs, flickering her forehead
“You’re an idiot.”
She squeaks, holding her forehead in pain
“W-What?”
Ace chuckles softly
“I’m calling you an idiot, did you forget? Sabo is the best attorney in GrandLine, Luffy is a firefighter with friends in all the offices, including the police, and you know our principal, Edward, is a family man, but he is powerful; he would not stand still if he heard this, especially not to one of his employees being under threat and definitely not when the kids are under threat.”
Luffy nods in agreement.
“We are pretty much the worst people a guy could try to mess with; you do realize that, right?”
“I know that, I know the chances were slim, but I wasn’t going to take any chances, not with you guys on the line.”
“So, instead, you decided to put yourself on the line?” Luffy asks
“Is your health not worth even a chance to protect us? Was that your reasoning sister? I thought you’d trust us more,” Ace adds
“You are aware of how idiotic that is, right?” Sabo chimes in
“We have dealt with worse; you weren’t just playing with our lives, but with your own as well; you really think letting some dickwad play you with would be better than taking a chance of us handling him??” The freckled man exclaims
“Also, did you think for a second we wouldn’t find out? And that we wouldn’t get worried?” Ace adds
“I was hoping I would be good at hiding it…
“You know damn well you have always been lousy at hiding stuff,” Sabo comments sharply, but then his tone softens a bit
“But you should have just told us the truth, no matter how dangerous you thought it would be.”
Luffy nods.
“You didn’t need to carry this burden alone; we could have helped you.”
“I’m sorry “
“Just don’t do it again, okay?” Sabo replies as he pulls her into a big hug; Ace and Luffy join him in the hug, the three brothers letting their sister hug them for long, not letting go of their sister, Ace kissing her forehead
“We’re just worried about you; we don’t care if it’s dangerous; we love you,” Ace reassures her
“Now let me see it,” he said, gesturing for her hand
She hesitates for a moment, not wanting to give her hand to Ace; she turns towards the other brothers with pleading eyes, but they all nod for her to show the bruise, so she finally does, holding her sleeve back, and puts her hand over Ace’s, the bruise covered a large part of her arm up to just below the elbow with some bruises and marks on various parts of her arm, some older, others fresh
Ace glances up
“Sabo, how good of an attorney are you?” he says, a dangerous undertone in his words
“Ace! You are not killing him!” Reader hisses
Ace doesn’t react to her words; instead he speaks calmly and cooly
“No one said anything about killing; I was thinking more of a severe beating” he chuckles before grinning wickedly
“Let’s kick his ass” agrees Luffy
“Sabo, you’re an attorney; please talk some sense into them before they get into trouble with the law.”
Sabo looks from his brothers to her; he doesn’t seem particularly against the idea of hurting Enel; in fact, his eyes are glinting with delight at the idea
“We’re not breaking any laws; after all, it was self-defense. We saw him attacking you, and we stepped in using reasonable force to protect you and ourselves.”
“Isn’t that right, guys? we only had to use force after he came at us.”
“Sabo! You are not lying in court!” She pleads
“Who said anything about lying? All three of us are witnesses; it’s not lying if it’s the truth!” Ace says not breaking eye contact with his sister
“It’s not lying; we all reported the same story and told nothing but the truth.” Sabo nods excitedly
“Yeah!!” Luffy agrees with a nod; they all seemed to be one and the same when it came to taking care of someone who hurts someone as important as their sister
“Guys, please, think about this,” she says, turning to look at all of them
“Sabo, come on, there’s no way a judge would buy three brothers having to all launch at a guy just for self-defense!”
“Oh, but there was even an officer at the scene who witnessed it; he had to help us get the guy off you; the guy was just ruthless; we had no option but to all step in,” Sabo exclaimed, continuing his made-up scenario
“Zoro would be more than happy to join if he hears what the guy did” Luffy grins
She sighs, looking at her brothers, tears welling in her eyes
“You guys are unbelievable,” a teary laugh leaving her
“No one is getting away with hurting our family; come here!” Ace says, grinning and pulling her in for a noogie, his smile widening at her small shriek,
“You ass! What happened to protecting your little sister? That hurts!”
"You use that language in your classroom?! It's just a noogie!" he said with a grin, glad that even for just a few minutes, she could just relax with them, forgetting about Enel and the damage he had caused.
"it does not hurt!"
"Besides, you deserved it for not being honest with us; you're not getting away with keeping things from us," Sabo laughs
“You treat your kids this way?!” She retaliates
“No, I treat my students with kindness and patience, but you’re my lil sis, so I have to mess with you a little,” he teases
“And you totally deserve what you’re getting.”
She scoffs
“Patience and kindness”
“You heard me, only kindness and patience, but you’re not a first grader like they are, so you get a little extra care since you’re older and know more than they do,” he said, his movement getting faster
“Not to mention, we can’t put little Tama in a headlock as a form of discipline,” he adds
“I’m telling Tama his beloved teacher will give her a noogie!
“You wouldn’t!” Ace laughs
“Tama would never believe it! She loves me!”
“Im also telling your squad you let innocent civilians be tormented, Luffy!” She said escaping from the headlock and running out of her room
“Oh, don’t even think about it, Shishishi!” Luffy grabs her hand, stopping her on her tracks
“You guys keep using your jobs against me! Unreasonable force, I say!”
Luffy simply laughs
“You should have joined me when I called you to train with my squad!”
“You wanna talk about unreasonable force? Well, you would know all about that, wouldn’t you, sis?” Ace replies, grabbing her as Luffy tosses her back in the bed and wraps her in another headlock
Sabo shrugs as he watches, not even going to attempt to break this particular situation up
“Not my fault! I need to use more force; otherwise, it won't get through your numbskulls!” She screams, laughing joyously, the pain and suffering from her situation forgotten momentarily
“And Sabo! How could you! A man on law watching these two brutes commit battery!”
“Hey, a little headlock is hardly anything; we’ve done far worse.” Sabo chuckles
“A man of the law would know all the technicalities of self-defense,” he points out,
“And you’d be surprised by how much I can witness without being called to court; a few weeks ago, I was watching a student in a bar brawl, and he didn’t even get arrested, just a fine, so don’t be too worried about me, I won’t tell.”
She gasps mockingly
Luffy and Ace both chuckle
“We should have expected you’d put up the least fight, Shishi” Luffy chuckles
“You’ve always been the least physical of the three; you are so easy to tease,” Ace adds
Sabo chuckles, though he didn’t join their ganging up on their little sister
After finally being free from their teasing, she smiled at them
“Thank you”
The brothers all smile back at her
Ace squeezes her hand
“We’re just relieved that you’ll let us help you now.”
Luffy nods
“Don’t worry, we will kick Enel’s ass!”
“You didn't think I would let it slide, did you, little sister? The way I see it is that Enel picked a fight with you, which in turn means he picked a fight with all of us; I won’t let someone threaten my family without paying the consequences.”
Tumblr media
I was honestly worried that this would just keep a grim tone all throughout it, but I managed to clutch at the end because the brothers wouldn’t just let her sister stay upset before they dealt with this asshole, and honestly, neither would I. I really struggle with Luffy being OC here, but I look back at all his speeches and serious moments and I think this is pretty spot on, if anything mellowed out

Miguel O'Hara fluff
A spider-reader has the fattest crush on Miguels fat ass.
And maybe he does too.
Have a crush on your ass, not his.
Also more than likely ooc but we both know if you're here you don't mind. (I'm so sorry)
___________________________________________
"I do not!" You huffed out, throwing your arms up.
"Oh come on, literally everyone here has noticed your thing for Miguel." Jess laughed, setting her hip on the table while she looked through her watch.
"Even if I do, he one hundred percent doesn't feel the same." You sighed, setting your feet down from the metal table. Your spider eyes wide and to the sky, your mask hid the deep frown you had.
Jess looked up to you, and even though she couldn't see your face, she could tell that you were upset. You didn't bounce back to your usual positivity and silliness, instead replaced by silence.
"I didn't mean anything by it, I'm just teasing you." She rubbed your shoulder affectionately.
"I know, thanks mom." You brushed her hand away, chuckling airily. Getting up you leaned over the table to oversee all the science-y papers that had accrued.
"On the tone of mom...."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"It's so cute! Jess is really excited to have a baby. I just wished she hadn't told me her and her husband have been trying for awhile." You said.
"Good for her! I'll have to ask her more about it later." Sun spider, or Charlotte as you've come to know her, said. She already had been jotting everything down in her notebook for the Spider-Weekly, a weekly magazine made for the spiders in the verse, by the other spiders.
It wouldn't make front page, maybe somewhere in the drama section.
"Yeah, she's really excited to be a mom." You had your back turned, your attention focused solely on following the recipe to make more web. You didn't notice the door open to the private lab, or Sun-Spider panicking to do something 'important.'
"Whose excited to be a mother?" A deep voice growled out, commanding in the way the question was asked.
"Jess! Haven't you-" You turned around, the smirk you wore dropped when you saw him.
Miguel.
Miguel O'Hara, or Spiderman 2099 stood towering over you, serious face and a deadly look in his eyes.
He was always so deadpanned, Miguel always wanted spiders to focus on missions and missions only. He never liked gossip, and any time you came in to spill the tea, he did everything in his power to ignore you. Which is why recently you had to go to new avenues, like Sun-spider. It wasn't like she wasn't your friend, you two just weren't that close.
"Uhhh, Jeeeeess???" You winced out. You weren't really I'm the mood to get scolded at, especially not with company. But leaning over, you saw that Sun had abandoned you.
Miguel's eyebrows went up a fraction, such a fast and small movement that if you hadn't been staring at him you wouldn't have noticed.
"I wasn't aware of that." He simply stated, looking over to see what you were doing. He called out your name, quickly taking the vials you were holding.
"Hey! I was working on that." You leaned over to see what he was doing, encroaching on his personal space, his weird hologram suit fizzing gently against your felt one.
"Well, you were doing it wrong, mensa." Miguel said, annoyed. So annoyed that he had to help you doing such a simple task.
"Hey! I may be a no sabo kid, but I know what that means, pendejo." You huffed out, you watched him quickly mix together a variety of liquids and chemicals. Quickly transferring and stirring each step of the way.
"Of course you'd know all the curse words." His brown eyes met yours, a bored look on his face.
"I do not! I know like, simple shit. Yo comprendo un pocito tambíen, cara de caca." You cackled, turning around to hang up your lab coat.
You missed the way he hung his head and smiled, holding back a silent chuckle.
"¿Sí? Veo que eres bilingüe." Miguel straighted his hunched over form, looking to you over his shoulder.
You stared at him, slowly piecing together what he said. "Hey kiss my ass!" You threw a random manilla folder at him.
He caught it before anything could spill out, surprisingly fast for a man with no spidey senses.
"I'd rather not."
You rolled your eyes at his serious response, and came over back to the table. "Thanks! Though, could've totally done this myself." You shrugged, putting out an overconfident personality.
"Yeah, that's why it wasn't on the verge of exploding. How you managed that is beyond me." Miguel shook his head, rolling his eyes. Watching you refil your web slinger.
Silence filled the room while you completed the simple task, the air tense.
"You haven't come to me in a while. I thought you went AWOL." He said, simple words you were waiting for him to utter.
"W-well. I've been turning in my reports on time. Just as long and descriptive as always." You shrugged, not meeting his intense gaze.
"That's not what I meant."
He meant the fact that you hadn't come to his office to complain the the printer wasn't working, or that the morning was horrid as always, or the drama in the office.
The truth? You started to look forward to speaking to him, seeking it to quell the loneliness that was left after the butterflies. You started to avoid the feeling of your fave heating and the speed of your heart, knowing that the stoic man would literally never feel the same.
"I just-got...busy?" It was more of a question than a statement, unsure of your answer.
"How? You've done nothing but prance around as usual."
Okay, um wow, ick.
Just kidding, his ass was too fat to get the ice.
"Hey! I'm a busy spider person! I have many, spider things to do." You were waving your hands around. You turned on your heel, going to walk out before a strong hand literally covered your shoulder.
"Wait, did I....do something?" Miguels voice drastically changed, stern to soft in seconds. His eyes were searching yours too.
"I-no, it's just. I don't know man, I'm sorry." You admitted, eyes looking down while you played with your hands.
"If-if I did something, you should come to me to fix it, as your superior you should always report to me." Miguel said, sliding his hand off your shoulder, and his usual face of stoicism came sliding back on.
That as well, Miguel was technically your boss, the man you scouted you out and now that you work under.
"I know. That...this doesn't have to do with that."
"Then what-what is impending your work." He was stretching, you knew that, but you couldn't just tell him, hey I'm totally in love with you but I know you don't feel the same so that's why I'm avoiding you!
Things don't work that way.
"Nothing it's just...it's nothing really, it's fine." You turn back around, missing the way Miguel reached out to stop you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A ding made Miguel O'Hara look up from the feed he was watching. He turned behind him, looking at the new report that just came in. It was from you.
Miguel filed it away from later.
He had once complained to you how long they were, and how he didn't need to know every detail. You made a point after that to make them even longer and lengthier.
He would never, never admit it out loud, but he liked to read them just before bed. He loved your writing, how he could just step in and be there, like he was there with you, fighting alongside you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Miguel?" Your voice was unsure, timid. You couldn't see the platform he was usually brooding on, and you stepped out to try and find him.
Your face dropped to an annoyed when you saw him slowly descending from his throne.
"When are you gonna make that thing faster?" You called out.
"I do it so it so my work isn't disturbed further." Miguel said pointedly. You climbed up the platform when it got close enough, pushing away the floating screens from your face.
"I brought you lunch! I didn't see you at the cafeteria so..." You shook the box, and put it down on his desk.
The awkward silence hung on the air again, before you couldn't bear it, but the beating of your heart made you falter.
The sight of Miguels' handsome face and built body made your heart pound and stomach twist.
You mentally slapped your face before you took a deep breath in.
"So did you hear about plush spider-man and Toy Spiderman?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You should return to your universe." Miguel had waited until the two of settled in silence to say something. Usually, you ranted for awhile before you were called into a mission.
But this time, nothing pulled either of you away. And Miguel listened while you talked, it was mostly you anyway. At first when you started to bug the older man, you didn't know if he was listening or not, but you saw how his ears perked up and how he'd subtly remind you of details of stories that you'd told.
"Woowwww, you're kicking me out? I'm not that annoying, am I?' You looked up at him from where you were hanging, a fake hurt look coming to your face.
"You are, and you should leave." He didn't even look back to you, only reading some article or report.
"Miggyyyyy." You called out for him. He hated it when you used that nickname, but you loved watching him shake his head.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, and watched what he was doing with your head on his shoulder. A massive shit eating grin decorated your face as he tensed and glared at you. You ignored your racing heart and hot face just to see the look on his.
He didn't push you off there, merely pausing for a moment before resuming his work. "You know I hate that nickname, it's annoying and unprofessional."
"Unprofessional? Because we're all a super serious business, a super legit business too." You laughed.
Miguel rolled his eyes, they constantly flick from your face to his work.
"Whatcha doiiinn." You rested your chin on his head, quickly getting bored.
"Working. Like you should be doing." He said, exasperated.
You made a fart sound, "Working is for nerds, me? I'm a cool guy." You walked away from him, getting ready to jump off the platform before you looked back at him. Shocked to see he was staring at you.
There was silence, again. Something so unusual for you two, for you.
"Yeah?" You asked, timid.
"Theres...." Miguel stood up, turning to you fully. "Lunch, tomorrow. Would you...like to go out for lunch tomorrow? There's a special going on at some place downtown, and I thought it'd be something that you'd enjoy."
You blinked owlisly at him, this was so...out of character for him. And he seemed apprehension, like every word he said was like pulling teeth. His fave seemed more red, his skin making it more apparent since he already had a reddish undertone.
"I-I'd love to! I mean," You cleared your throat, and stood up straight, putting on a serious persona, "Yeah sure its whatever." You snifged, wiping your nose to try and look cool.
Miguel gave you a blank stare, but unlitmatly rolling his eyes to let out a chuckle. The sight was something to behold, especially from your serious leader.
"I'll see you tomorrow! And I expect you to be wearing people clothes, since we'll be going out as people!" You laughed, jumping down and running from the platform.
Miguel just let out a fond sigh as he watched you leave. And he turned around to Lyla giving him a smug look.
He scowled, "I don't want a word from you."
She mimicked zipping her lips closed, smirking.
