was talking with @myloveforhergoeson forever ago abt the lolive relationship time. here it is,, mostly so i can hold myself accountable.

acquaintances (barely) thru most of early s1, then after big time party, they both are aware of their crushes on each other but camille and logan also have something going on

lomille gets together s1. olive is like fuck that and dates some random band guy

then s2, logan’s dating camille but still has feelings for olive almost the entire season

olive is like buddy make ur mind up??? lomille break up and then logan kisses olive. WHILE SHES STILL IN A RELATIONSHIP MIND YOU!!!! then says it meant nothing. olive rightfully is pissed at him

(kendall writes youre not alone inspired by the drama of this all. and his friendship as well. what do you think he is? a gossip? the answer is yes)

lolive don’t talk for like half of s3 then during big time decision, olive reveals that her and band bf broke up three months ago and her and logan have to decide if they want to actually be something or not

(i am existing in a universe where in big time returns, camille tells logan that she doesn’t want to get back together w him)

and then big time gold is when they have their first proper date and logan gives her a necklace.

and then the rest of s3 and 4, they are together.

I'm working on a certain project and I realized that the other two fucked up monkeys aside from wukong and the six eared macaque are hardly ever used in anything eve so I designed them myself for this thing!!! the nerdy shrimp is gibbon and the big lady is baboon

52. Kiss in the air / unconnected kiss

“—And then,” Ethan says, coming out of the metro in central London and starting along the street, “I landed safely in a field, package undamaged and, most importantly, no longer on the plane, where I threw some surrounding debris over it as cover from the air and hid in the grass until extraction—”

“I think you’re trying to make this sound better,” Ethan’s partner interrupts in his ear, “but it does not sound better, Ethan. Do you know what was in the package?”

“Hm, unsecure area,” Ethan hedges.

“Sure, now you’re in an unsecure area—”

“None of the canisters were damaged,” Ethan reminds him. “So really, it doesn’t matter.”

He turns a corner, record shop coming into view, as his partner sighs the most long-suffering sigh Ethan has ever heard in his ear. Ethan can’t help but smile where his partner can’t see.

“Well, I’m glad you’re alright,” comes the next grumble. “You’re off to get your next mission?”

“Mhm,” Ethan says. He comes to a stop before the door. “I’m actually here, to be honest.”

“Alright.” There’s some shuffling—the sound of something being put into a bag. “I’m go in about fifteen minutes as well, but I’ll be free in about twenty-four hours. If you’re also free then—”

“I’ll call you,” Ethan promises. “You safe? Need back-up? I could divert—”

“Oh don’t be ridiculous,” his partner says, and now Ethan can hear the smile in his voice as well. “Everything’s in place. “I’ll probably actually be done with the part that requires no contact before the night’s over here, it’s just the clean up.”

“I know how that goes,” Ethan agrees, and sighs. “Well then, I’d better stop loitering.”

“Let me know if you need some back-up,” his partner says. “Kiss kiss!” There are some definite kissing noises over the line.

Ethan snorts, and obligingly makes his own kissing noise. “I’ll talk to you in twenty-four hours,” he says.

“If it’s safe.”

“If it’s safe,” Ethan agrees. “Have a good night at work, sweetheart.”

“You too. Ciao!”

His partner hangs up first. Ethan stands there for another moment, smiling to himself, before pulling his earpiece off and pocketing it, running the phone through some encryption to clear the number he called.

Show time, he thinks to himself, and turns towards the door to the record shop, pushing it open and letting himself in. It’s time to accept a new mission. Hopefully this time it won’t be something that gives his partner heart palpitations.

It would be my dream if Deku got a Gon (HxH) type ending because while he's not as extreme as Gon in hurting his friends he crosses lines from time to time that accumulative make me wonder, as a person, is Deku actually worth this amount of emotional distress even if what he symbolically represents to other characters helps improve them heroically (except Ochaco). B and D are still not in a healthy place so ending acknowledging that would be kinda cool imo. (not gonna happen though).

Anon I am obsessed with the implications you are describing with a "Gon-type" ending because I have a lot of feelings (positive) about Gon's HxH journey end (per the anime - manga's still going!) and think a lot of the implied discussion of mortality vs godhood/nirvana/spiritual ascension or just "human" and "divine" as it applies to Gon and his father AND even a little bit to Gon and Killua as it applies to understanding the self and growing together, then apart, and realizing how much free will they have over themselves and their desires.

I really want to know if you mean more than "Izuku, now humbled and without his power, goes one way and Katsuki goes another even though it brings them great sadness just like Gon and Killua did" or not.

I'd also like to point out that much of Killua's sadness regarding Gon comes from him not being old enough/mature enough/brave enough/aware enough (your mileage may vary on how to phrase that or how many to include) to ask Gon the question he most wanted to ask. I wanna know how much you were thinking about this detail when you sent me this ask.

Anyway, I think the manga knows Katsuki and Izuku aren't in a completely healthy place regarding Izuku's emotional and self-sacrificing tendencies yet. While it could be discussed more in the main manga and in more detail, I don't feel like it needs to be discussed much more than we can expect from the resolution of their story based on their trajectory. We know. We witness. If Izuku is going to save or help or still stand by Katsuki, he's going to figure himself out and address this problem. He's got to. If not, well, much like Gon and Killua, they may part for a while, but somehow I think they'd meet again. Izuku is someone Katsuki couldn't shake off even if he tried, and he's tried.

I mean, the story of BNHA is also taking place over the course of... it's been one year total since the start of school, and right about two total since Izuku and Katsuki's middle school introduction with a training montage where Izuku only really interacted with his mom and Toshinori. A lot has happened and their dynamics have greatly shifted over a relatively short period of time.

As for Ochako, I think she's figuring out for herself what really matters (though, I mean, in some ways, Deku's influence as inspiration has helped some. Like the wires? Like being unified in the idea of saving Toga and Shigaraki? Those aren't such bad things.) I've got faith in her.
