Some spn Cas history (because yay facts!! Facts are fun!!)

Misha was a guest star in S4. Castiel was originally planned to be a 3 episode and done character, but Misha was so electrifying as Cas, had great chemistry with Jensen, and Cas turned out to be such a compelling character, the show kept him around.

Misha was promoted to regular in S5 and continued in S6.

He was dropped from the show for S7 because Gamble and Singer decided to write out Cas. The network did a lot of fans a solid for once, called up the EP's, and went "hahahaha you aren't really planning to get rid of that fan favorite pretty angel are you???? hahaha ok no really bring him back" and literally refused to let spn get rid of him.

There was for sure a listlessness factor in S7 once Cas was removed. J2 were the anchors in the early seasons. In later seasons, J2M really became the show's center supports, more than just J2. (No, this is not arguable. This is reflected in canon story, and Cas's growth as a character and plot role and emotional role and in promotion for many years. No, I don't care who is offended that I said it. It's not a point of argument).

Jeremy Carver took over as showrunner in S8 and brought Misha in for an 8 episode arc, so Misha was a guest star in S8. Carver wanted to rebuild the character and in S9 Misha was promoted back up to series regular, and he stayed at that status the rest of the series.

Originally, Misha's regular status was denoted by having him third in opening credits after Jared and Jensen, before the "guest starring" section. Eventually Misha was given an "and" credit.

The "and" credit is a contract status thing. It's for series regulars of particular note, usually for a particularly noteworthy performance. Tony Head was "and" status on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. When he stepped back to recurring, Alyson Hannigan became the "and" status.

Some have tried to paint Misha's "and" designator as a sign of his lesser importance, but it's the opposite. It's a promotion and a sign of respect.

A further note, zero fans have attempted to supplant Jared and Jensen as the "top leads" of the show, but it's abundantly fair to label Misha a 3rd lead, given the proportion of Cas's plot and emotion impact on story and Misha's longevity and status. It's semantics, really. If someone gets offended if you say he's a 3rd lead, they're aren't worth your time. Eh, okay, "main character" isn't wrong either, but I'm suspicious of people who break out in hives over calling him "3rd lead"--but main character is a descriptor for Cas's role. SPN at times had 3-4 series regulars, with J2 as the only two constants the entire run of the show, which is why we say J2 are the 2 top leads. But Cas and Misha's importance are also facts.

Misha was "guest star" in S4, 7, and 8. Eventually he got "special guest star" credit during his guest starring era on spn, another indicator of an actor/performance/character of note, but not a series regular. He was a series regular for S5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15. (No this is not arguable. These are production facts. Some people still, after all this time, try to erase his regular/main character status on spn, and they aren't working in facts).

Vent post. 911 S7 finale

While I'm glad Bobby is alive so please don't get this wrong here but it doesn't make any sense?? And took out the impact of the finale as 14 minutes? Your chances of survival post 10 minutes are abysmal so even with Bobby surviving it's long recovery? Also what was Athena thinking?? Amir you deserve the world. Offering condolences to Athena after being threatened with torture and retraumatised? An angel. Eddie's part was heartbreaking. I'm glad the Diaz parents were supportive though. Christopher 💔 ( Also Eddie is a good dad so fuck off with any comments about that here also Buck was such a good dad this EP too ) Also I swear if I see BT fans sexualizing Buck's daddy issues I will burn it down cartel style. Not off the hamster wheel at all Buck this is the same shit as with Abby as for her it was mommy issues. Also the snide comments continuing from tommy? Seriously his personality outside of Buck's PoV in 7x04 is awful. Bobby is Buck's dad. I'm glad Mara didn't have to part from her family though and it's good to see May and Harry again. I'm not sure what to feel about this finale at all??? Sorry this is all rambling as it's nearly 3am my time and I kinda regret staying awake for it now. As ouch. On a hilarious point for me seeing Eddie serving despite his whole life blowing up was a thing I guess. Really still the prettiest princess no matter what.

BEE’S TOP 20 BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER EPISODES EVER:

20. S4 E1, The Freshman

Sunday and her gang are just so much fun to watch. I wish there were more fun vampire stoner-types in the show. I love the whole college allegory with Giles leaving Buffy to figure things out on her own. especially showing how she goes from being scared to realizing she does actually have the power to survive without an adult watching over her. Also I think about the klimt poster game every time I see a college dorm now.

19. S1 E9, The Puppet Show

The first (and only?) Buffy episode to ever genuinely scare me. I watched it late at night, alone in my room in the dark when no one else was awake. I don’t fuck with doll horror movies. The puppet skittering about Buffy’s room made me tremble. Also I just love anything theatre related and watching Giles very poorly do a magic circle was fun. And! Framing Snyder as a villain was such a good choice. And I think about him saying “I don’t get it” at the end of the ep a lot. Just really fun in general.

18. S1 E12, Prophecy Girl

“I may be dead, but I’m still pretty.” Her outfit is iconic. Her reaction to finding out she’s going to die is heartbreaking and realistic. I love that Xander is the one to revive her, forever cementing him as one of Buffy’s best friends and a crucial part of the gang.

17. S3 E20, The Prom

The class protector award will always make me tear up, like fuck. people in a town that actively ignores the horrors acknowledged that Buffy was keeping them safe from the horrors. she deserved that moment so much.

16. S3 E13, The Zeppo

I am a Xander apologist and I’m not afraid to say it. This episode is so fucking funny. I love getting to see what goes on in the background of every Buffy episode. I think it adds so much more to Xander’s character to know that he gets left out of the main plot and has his own wacky adventures that he doesn’t talk or brag about. He is the epitome of Just A Guy. He knows he isn’t like Buffy and the rest of the scoobies, but he also knows he can be just as brave as them. The moment where he’s in the basement and smiling about the bomb about to go off, “I like the quiet,” shakes me so much. Iconic.

15. S2 E6, Halloween

Ethan Rayne’s first appearance! I love how kitschy it feels. willow’s costume is gorgeous.

14. S6 E16, Hell’s Bells

Jesus fucking christ. The portrayal of dysfunctional families is just spot on. Anya looks stunning the entire time. Xander choosing to walk out because he loves Anya too much to even risk following in his family’s footsteps and abusing her is so heartbreakingly real. Is Xander in the wrong for ever letting their relationship get this far when he had doubts? ABSOLUTELY. Also the scene when Anya walks down the aisle crying makes me want to sob, it’s such a perfect shot. Ughh

13. S6 E8, Tabula Rasa

fun amnesia episode! I love seeing what’s inside the characters when they don’t remember anything about themselves. the loan shark bit is so stupid and funny. Giles and Spike having a father/son relationship is perfect. “RANDY GILES??!?? might as well call me desperate for a shag Giles.” also “a vampire with a soul? God, how lame is that?”

12. S4 E12, A New Man

This was the first Buffy episode I ever saw! Caught it on tv and fell in love. I remember watching willow and tara float the rose and thinking “gay.” Then I saw Giles and ethan laugh together over drinks after he, like pinned Ethan down in a crypt and I thought “gay.” And you know what, I was right on both fronts. Also spike crashing the car is so funny.

11. S2 E7, Lie To Me

Everyone talks about wanting to see more of ford, and we get to see more of the main girl, but all I want is Diego/marvin content. I love his stupid sparkly blue cape. I also love how Buffy reacts to finding out ford has cancer; “I’ll kill you myself.” Being in a horrible situation doesn’t excuse the horrible crime you’re about to commit! He’s just a very well written character

10. S7 E15, Get It Done

After watching this, I had to lie down for a moment because it was so much and I cried (which I rarely do with tv shows). The origins of the slayer just fucking wrecked me. The first slayer was just a girl who was violated and used.

9. S2 E22, Becoming pt. 2

Genuinely just one of the best season finales of all time. They perfectly took away everything Buffy had and brought her to the point of no return. The part when Angel asks her “what’s left?” before attempting to stab her with the sword, but Buffy shuts her eyes and perfectly catches it and says “me” is the most breathtaking, iconic scene ever. Gut wrenching and absolutely devastating.

8. S7 E7, Conversations With Dead People

Willow’s conversation with Cassie is so jarring. Buffy’s conversation is so so great and fun. Also “mommy’s milk is red today” is such an INSANE thing to write.

7. S2 E19, I Only Have Eyes For You

I love the concept that a haunting is just a house re-enacting a terrible night over and over again to try and understand what happened to it. This is extremely similar. Just a guy replaying his greatest and final mistake in an attempt to gain forgiveness, to somehow make everything turn out all right because he can’t live or die with that guilt. And the connection to Buffy and Angel’s relationship is just the cherry on top.

6. S2 E17, Passion

I’m a sucker for Angel’s monologue in this one. The scene where he kills Jenny is just, so. Her death perfectly shows how serious things have gotten. All the fun and games are over. Having Giles find her in his bed is absolutely sickening, but I love how they set up the fact that Giles has never seen Angel’s letters until then, he isn’t aware that’s the paper and handwriting from Angel and not Jenny. Also the shot where Willow and Buffy find out that she’s dead is great. I love that we see it from outside the house, looking in.

5. S4 E10, Hush

Astonishing that one of the greatest episodes has extremely little dialogue. the end from Riley’s perspective is just that his girlfriend screamed and the heads of these demons exploded… did he think she had like a banshee scream ability?? I would’ve. Giles’ drawings are so fun

4. S5 E7, Fool for Love

“I’ve always been bad” -jump cut to spike writing bad poetry. I love the little detail that Halfrek was the girl who turned down spike in 1880. The entire subway scene is perfect. Every slayer has a death wish. Buffy saying “you’re beneath me” is so perfectly cruel, and throwing the money is too. the end with spike going to kill Buffy then seeing her upset and comforting her is just a perfect picture of their entire relationship.

3. S4 E22, Restless

“Props?” “No.” “Props?” “YES!” Death of a salesman should have a cowboy in it, actually. Spike selling himself out as an attraction is so believable. like yeah, he would love to be photographed all the time by admirers.

1. S6 E7, Once More With Feeling

Duh. I rewatch this episode A LOT. Anya and Xander’s song gets stuck in my head pretty regularly. I listen to the music on spotify. Hinton Battle kills. I recently watched this with my friend who does ballet and she said Dawn’s dance was really good! BROADWAY LEGEND HINTON BATTLE!!! Spike and Buffy’s kiss at the end is so perfectly built up and executed. Just an absolute masterpiece.

I get why it makes him sad, nobody acted like that when eddie had a whole season or when bathena went off to do their own thing. s7 opening is again about them and we're getting a madney wedding, a new baby for henren, eddie dating... they're all accepted as main characters while buck gets hate. he deserves better

YES!!!!!!!! there's episodes like 6x3, 6x6(aka Henren ep where Buck is behind), 6x 14 or 6x16 or 15, even 17(the one's I remember)) where he played no role at all, was behind the scenes most of the time but they still play like he was on the screen all 45 minutes of every episode, talked about donor thing in all 18 episodes, was with Natalia in every scene of the eps where she was, but when it happened with Eddie in 5s and then bathena have episode about them and people loves it and not put shit in their job he has rights to be upset

I watched and loved everything Russel T Davis wrote and then really disliked the direction the show took. Something was off with the writing and i couldn't get past the first half of s7.

So. The question is. Can i ignore all those seasons and just skip to the new eps with David Tennant ?

1. Thank you for confirming buck never told taylor it was lucy he cheated with LMAO I literally thought I was going crazy… im working it into my belief system that her being able to do that stems from her top notch reporter skills which is why Im like taylor kelly needs to be studied. (Also when I was writing the minor character part I was also thinking of defend in place!! So weird to me how the minor character focus worked so well in some instances and not others. And its also why I wished they did more with claudette. She was so good in 5x08/5x16)

2. I have seen s6 and I can now confirm that before this past week I had seen the whole series except 5x07-5x09 and 5x14-5x18 (id seen like clips and gifs of a lot of it but not whole episodes and arcs). But I am going to be moving on to s6 and would love to dump any thoughts I had somewhere if you were interested in reading :) 6b did radicalize me re:buddie canon (or, s6 lit the fuse and s7 blew my whole world up) and I actually quite liked s6 outside some of the denny bio dad plot and bucktalia eddisol stuff so Im actually really excited rewatch

3. Episodes of all time. Okay to preface this I am not the kind of person who will re watch / re read things several times over. Like usually I need years between watches (hence why this is my first time rewatching the show in whole. When the first time I watched through/binged was between s3/4). And while there are some episodes I really really enjoy they are just not the kind of episodes that stick with me in a way where I would re watch them any time any place, which is why the list ends up being exclusive lol. So my rewatch any time list would probably be: 2x06, 4x06, 4x13/14 (always watch together), 5x16 (yay), 6x14. Maybe 5x11 Im still deciding. Bubble on that list (pending re watch) would probably be 6x06, 6x12, 7x01, 7x06. And then episodes of all time would be like all those plus like the classics. Worst day ever/point of origin. Chimney begins/fight or flight. Tsunami arc. Taking of dispatch. Boston. Maybe step nine.. I love a bobbysode. So kinda basic maybe but they are special to me (especially 6x14 … if dosed and jinx and survivors didnt exist maybe my favorite ep of the whole series…). I also really love 2x04, 2x18, 3x01, 3x12, the madney plot specifically in 3x13, 4x07, and 5x14, but they all kinda just miss the rewatch list cut for me. Ranking every ninjago season and why :3

(Spoilers for Dragons rising kinda)

I hate it sm, it literally could've been one of the best seasons in ninjago history, but there was WAY too much filler and was so underwhelming and predictable. Didn't even feel like a Zane season during the second half it felt more like a Lloyd season. ALL of the ninja should've fought Zane + Pixal, and she should've come as well. AND THE FACT THAT ZANE'S TRAUMA WAS NEVER BROUGHT UP. LIKE HUH????? I will forever hate this season with a passion no matter what anyone says.

I really can't care for it at all it just feels like the ninjago writers ran out of ideas(which I completely understand, but still) you could literally skip the entire thing and the whole plot line would STILL make sense. The only time I genuinely rewatch this is if I'm THAT bored. Really should've stuck the to idea with Jay's mother running away from something(which they 100% should've done in the first place)

16. Skybound

Before yall come to my house and beat the shit out of me, HEAR. ME. OUT. Kinda the same situation with Prime Empire. You could skip it, and the show would still make sense. It's never addressed after the season, and all of it is just...wack. Nadakkan is a fucking creep towards Nya, like mf BACK OFF. And Jay isn't any better. He's constantly disrespecting Nya's boundaries throughout a majority of the season, and I do NOT understand how Jay fans justify that. And the amount of sexism in it??? I just don't like this season in general and would very much like to stay away from it.

15. The Island

It felt like it was just there for the purpose of being there. It's important to the plot the next season but I felt like that could've been resolved with a little b plot. Ik it's technically not a season but idc. That's it. Nothing else I can say abt it.

14. Crystalized

It had sm potential, but the second half felt so rushed. The first 12 eps were really well paced, but the last 18 felt like a whole other season. The entire ending was rushed, and it was so hyped as well. I was at the edge of my chair waiting and waiting but....nothing. I never really believed that Pixal was gonna die, but I 100% expected Wu to die or SOMEONE to make a huge sacrifice. The original ending wouldn't have been much better bc at that point, there would've been only 2 eps left. AND NO ONE BROUGHT UP THE FACT THAT ZANE DEFEATED THE OVERLOAD. NOT EVEN LLOYD???? "Third time's the charm," MF ZANE DEFEATED HIM THE THIRD TIME FOR WAY LONGER THAN YOU DID AND NOT EVEN THE OVERLOAD MENTIONED IT LIKE WHAT??? AT LEAST REFRENCE IT OR SUM.

13. Hands of Time

To get something out of the way, the animation reminded me of Miraculous Ladybug.(IM SORRY) The season felt odd but in a good way. And knowing that Pixal was in that Samurai X suit makes her personality in s7 10× more funnier. I don't hate it but I don't love it at the same time. It's a 50/50

12. The Pilots

Since it's the start or it all, it's going to get a decent ranking. I really like it and it did just fine for a pilot ep(s) But other seasons are just better :3

11. Master of The Mountain

It's a really nice season to get back at I fricking LOVE the little flashback of Cole's mother. But at the same time it's a bit forgettable.(don't come for me) That's it. :3

10. Legacy of The Green Ninja

One of the classic seasons. It's good enough to make it to the top 10. This was where ninjago was originally supposed to end. Its really nice and seeing Lloyd battle his dad was sad :,) All the episodes are really fun and entertaining but other seasons are just better :3

9. Rise of The Snakes

The first season of ninjago where it all truly started. Much like s2 all the episodes are really entertaining. It's really heartwarming to watch all the ninja grow up and change throughout the rest of the seasons. It's always a classic you can come back to. But other seasons are still just better

8. Possession

It's a really nice season and the pros outweigh the cons but I really don't like Morro(atp yall finna hate me) He's like Kai if his "I'm supposed to be the green ninja" phase never left. His redemption arc was so fricking boring and forgettable that I don't even REMEMBER what happened and i'm too lazy to go back. But the episodes are also really entertaining and a bit funny.

7. Rebooted

TOO MANY PPL DONT LIKE THIS SEASON AND IDK WHY. Okay the love triangle was extremely unnecessary and didn't help progress the plot at all. But all the good really outweighs it. It's the birth of the best Canon ship(which is pretty much all I post abt here) Really entertaining. AND HAS ONE OF THE BEST SCENES IN HISTORY. Ik yall were in TEARS after the last ep.

6. Dragons Rising

It's a really well paced season and MASSIVELY improved from crystalized. THEY ACTUALLY GIVE ZANE A PERSONALITY AND I AM HERE FOR IT. It gives off a really well based story, and it's really entertaining. Ik a majority of Jay fans were upset bc he only got like 14 seconds of screen time if that, but with everything going on and at that point there were 3 eps left. The story pacing would've been extremely rushed, so I'm kinda glad that happened. Nothing else to say.

5. March of The Oni

Really great season. Just really hits you in the feels. Nice season you can always rewatch. I love the Pixal/Cole/Zane interaction in the first ep really funny. The rest of the season is pretty self explanatory

4. Tournament of Elements

This season is one of the best in the show. Like S10 it's pretty self explanatory. Introduces us to a bunch of new concepts. GARMADON SACRIFICING HIMSELF WAHHHHHHH. The only thing I genuinely have a problem with is the Zane amnesia part. I really wanted it to last the whole season like make Zane have little flashbacks bit by bit. That could've been really interesting. The rest is amazing.

3.Sons of Garmadon

SO MANY PPL WHO STOPPED WATCHING AFTER THE REDESIGNS MISSED OUT OMG. It's so good. Good characters. Good villains. Good story concept. GREAT execution. Just mwah. Crystalized kinda ruined Harumi's arc. Like I would've been fine if she stayed dead. HER ARC WAS PERFECT. I love her sm. Also has one of the best outfits/weapons. THE REDESIGNS DID THEM JUSTICE THEYRE SM BETTER THAN THE OLD ONES(don't find me pls.) It's great would recommend :3

2. Seabound

ONE OF THE BEST SEASONS JUST MWAH. Nya's arc was really nice, and her merging with the ocean pulled on my heartstrings istg. HER INTERACTIONS WITH HER MOTHER JUST...*cries forever*

MY FAVORITE SEASON OMG EVERYTHING ABT IT IS FUCKING PERFECT. The music. The characters. EVERYTHING. Has one of the best intros in ninjago. I love how Lloyd was trying to cope with his friends being "dead" and being so relieved that they're actually alive. The designs are so good. The story progresses really smoothly and just...*chefs kiss*

Exiting Goodwin Office after talking with the suspect about how the suspected shooter wasn't carrying a gun at all but a leaf blower.

"I saw you throwing googly eyes at Voight's niece," Antonio said as the elevator door closed.

"I wasn't, you're just seeing things" I lied as I scratched my neck.

"Lair, do you got a thing for her?"

"Not really, she is cute though," I said as we exited the elevator and walked towards the emergency room when I knew deep down that I had a thing for her.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night," he said chuckling.

I saw Madeline glaring at Will like she was killing him with her eyes, she talked with him before leaving him shocked.

"Antonio I will be back," I said walking away from him without waiting for a response.

I tapped Madeline's shoulder and she turned around to face me, "Yeah, how can I hel-oh Jay hey," she said lowering the iPad from her face.

"Hey, sorry about that horrible hello," I said chucking.

"Oh no, it's fine don't worry about it we were both busy"

"I just wanted to make sure we were both cool," I said shoving my hands into my jeans pockets.

"Yeah, we are good. I didn't know you were a detective" she said pointing over at at my badge.

"Well you never asked what I did for work," I said smirking.

She smiled at me, "Well Detective Halstead is there anything else you need?"

"Actually, yeah," I said pulling out his phone, "Can I get your number?"

"Ask Dr.Halstead for it. I bet he won't mind" she said winking at me and walking away from me.

I nodded my head and smirked at her as she walked away from me swinging her hips a bit, I went to look for Antonio and saw him talking with Will.

"Hey man," Will said greeting me with a side hug.

"Hey," I said, "I have a question for you"

"Yeah, what's up?"

"I was wondering if I could have Dr. Sanchez's number," I said handing him my phone.

Antonio hit my shoulder, "Now remember Halstead she is your sergeant's niece, remember what happened last time with Erin" he said.

"I feel like it's going to be different" I mumbled.

"Yeah, here you go," He said handing me back my phone, "Now just so you know Madeline is rich she is getting close to Rhodes who is also rich"

"Like the ones who own that big fancy shop or whatever?" Antonio said.

"Bingo"

"Jay, we gotta go," Hailey said standing in front of my desk.

"Oh yeah, sorry," I said getting up from my desk and grabbing my jacket.

"You good?"

"Yeah I'm good"

I pulled up to the homeless shelter where Vanessa was waiting for us.

"I talked to Platt. She was going through Roberto's priors. He got jammed up last week here. Outside this church" she said.

"Why wasn't that in his file?" Hailey asked as we walked up the steps.

"It was just a contact card. Responding officers didn't arrest him. I mean, this could be where he's been living" she said.

"Excuse us, Hey Chicago PD. You serve?" I said walking up to a blue tent.

"Iraq, four tours," the homeless man said.

"I did two tours in Afghanistan. This is, uh, Officer Rojas, Detective Upton. I'm Detective Halstead" I said pointing at each of them.

He stood up from his seat, "Alex" he threw his glove onto the chair he was sitting on.

"We're looking for information on Roberto Peña," I said showing him a picture on my phone.

"Yeah, I know Roberto"

"He stays here?"

"On and off. Not like you need a key" he said.

"When was the last time you saw him?" Hailey asked.

"I don't know. Maybe two weeks ago?"

"Did he get into trouble around here?"

"Nah, he was all right. He was a big talker. Serious dope fiend. What'd he do?"

"He was murdered," Vanessa said staring him down.

"Damn, what happened?"

"We don't know yet? Does he have any friends around here?" I asked as I looked at him.

"He, uh, usually hung out with Sammy the T"

"Who's that?" Vanessa said.

He pointed up and we all turned to look up at the second-floor balcony.

"Sarge!" Hailey said from her desk.

I got up from my desk and walked towards her desk.

"What do we get?"

"I followed up on the T-shirt guy's story about going to an AA meeting with Roberto, so this is security footage from the community center, and this is from an auto shop down the block" Hailey said pointing at the screen that showed the CCTV footage.

"Blue pickup," Voight said.

"Imma run that plate," I said rushing over to my desk to run the plate.

"Zero, one, X-Ray, nine, four, king, two" Antonio said reading the plate to me.

I ran down the plate as everyone watched the video, "Drivers got a gun on him" Voight said.

"Sammy was telling the truth," Hailey said looking over at Hank.

"Time stamps say 7:12. That's a few hours before Roberto was killed," Adam said.

As I ran the plates a profile popped up on my screen, "All right, here we go. Blue 2011 Ford. Belongs to Joe Mason. Convicted felon, recently paroled out of stateville on an attempted murder beef. LKA's a house in Elsdon" I said reading the information off my screen to everyone.

"Okay, Jay, you and Hailey get over there. Stand by for a warrant" Hank said.

Hailey and I sat in my car looking at the building where the suspect might be hiding.

"Okay, Jay what's up with you? And don't lie" she said.

"It's Madeline the woman I told you about and how I found out she is Voight niece"

"What about her?" She asked.

"Well, you know how that shooting happened this morning?"

"Yeah, you and Antonio went down to Med to talk with Goodwin"

"Well after talking with Will and Antonio. He mentioned how things went last time with Erin" I said.

"Explain"

"Well me and Erin dated for a while. Then she left for the FBI and you officially became my partner, but anyway Erin was like a daughter to Hank and officially Madeline is blood-related to him also do you think it would be wried if I ended up dating her you think  she knew about it." I said turning to face her.

She took a deep breath, "Listen, Jay, maybe things will work with Madeline and maybe she did know about you both or she didn't depending on how close they were, or maybe there are certain things they kept from each other, and one of them happened to be your relationship between you guys " she said looking at her watch.

"Really. There our truck" I said as it pulled up.

"You ready?"

"Yeah, let's go"

We got out of the car and made us towards the suspect.

"Joe Mason? Chicago PD. You got a second?" I asked him.

He opened the fence gate and booked it, "5021 Henry. Got an offender fleeing on foot. Male, black, 5'10, black jacket, blue jeans" Hailey said over the radio.

I followed right behind the suspect as he ran from us, he jumped a fence that managed to slow him down, and I tackled him down by the legs.

"Put your arms up," I said as I tried to put handcuffs.

Hailey then ran towards us with her gun out, "Keep your hands where I can see them"

"I didn't do anything, man," he said.

"Yeah, where's the fire, Joe?" I said.

"5021 Henry. Advise units to disregard. Offender in custody"

"What's is this? What is this?" I said showing him a bag of heroin from his jean pants.

"It's not mine, dog"

"Yeah? Unless it's sugar, you're coming in. Put your hands behind your back.

"Saw the sneaker that we found at the church?" Adam said hanging up the picture of the bloody shoes onto the board.

"Yeah?"

"They're identical to Sammy's. And the sole pattern and size are an exact match to the prints we found at the demo house" I said.

"All right, where we at in Joe Mason's alibi?" Hank said.

"We got three witnesses—put him at a party same time as the murder," Antonio said with his arms crossed against his chest as sat on Adam's desk.

"Sammy Logan's starting to look good for this" Hank said looking over at Vanessa who was standing right by Hailey's desk.

"Yeah, problem is, we can't him anywhere. We've been circulating photos of him all over the neighborhood. No one's seen him" Hailey said.

"We've been checking city shelter logs, he's been in and out of a few for the last two years never stays," Vanessa said looking over at Hank.

"Well, Sammy got some kind of file or a case worker?"

"Yeah, over in Lincoln Park"

"All right, get a subpoena for his medical records, talk to the case worker, and see what can you find"

I opened the door holding the iPad in my right hand, "Hey, I just off the phone with CPIC. Some guy tried to cash an SSI check in our homicide victim's name. Roberto Peña " I said.

"What? Someone's pretending to be him?" Hailey said looking at the iPad.

"When was this?" Hank asked.

"This is 45 minutes ago at a currency exchange in Homan Square," I said showing them the CCTV footage.

"I'll be damned. Pause that" Hailey said as I paused it for her.

"That matches the guy Sammy just described," Vanessa said looking at all of us.

"And it's a clear image too, bet you a bourbon we get a hit on facial rec," I said.

"Eduardo Salazar. Been in the run from Miami, Florida since 2015" Antonio said placing pictures on the board.

"What's he running from?" Hank asked sitting on Kim's desk.

"Double murder, he killed a cop. He, uh, robbed a bank in Dade County. Killed the clerk, then he killed the responding officer" Adam said.

"FBI has been looking for that dude for a long time," Kevin said.

"Notice how Salazar and Roberto look similar?" Hailey said sitting on top of her desk.

"Salazar hands around the homeless. He's looking for the right physical match. He finds Roberto, and makes sure he doesn't have any family or close friends" Vanessa said standing right by Hailey.

Ever since Vanessa joined the Unit, Hailey and Vanessa have been next to each other and become close friends Vanessa even stays with Hailey.

"And then slits his throat and steals his identity"

"We talk to the feds?" Hank asked the girls.

"I spoke to the SAC in the Miami field office. She's sending over files" Adam said.

"They got any leads?"

"There is an anonymous tip that Salazar was spotted in Homan Square, but it came up dry," Antonio said.

"Not dry anymore," I said.

"This guy killed the police, let's find his ass," Hank said.

"Chicago PD" I yelled out as I used a ram to break down the door.

I followed Adam into the house and we cleared the house.

"The girls got the girlfriend out in the backyard," Kevin said.

"She lawyered up and spit in my face for good measure," Hailey said walking up to us.

"All right, anything on her phone?" Hank asked.

"Salazar texted her a few hours ago, and then he shuts his phone off. The texts said chasing more Roberto paper. We're almost there, baby. Punta Mita soon" I said looking at the phone.

"Punta Mita?"

"It's a beach town in Mexico," I said answering Hailey's question.

"Sounds like he's getting his new identity in order then making a run to the border," Vanessa said.

"All right, so keep monitoring the phone. Let's get a couple of cars down here in case comes home. And check all nearby businesses, anywhere he could be setting up a new identity. I know it's a needle in a haystack, but it's worth a shot" Hank said.
