Northflowo, way back in 2022 in my first exposure to Hollow Knight, I found your channel through the Baby Mantis skin video with Nosk along with the lore in a nutshell video. Any other content I saw I forgor. In any case, your channel was there in my search for knowledge on that game. Fast-forward to the near conclusion of 2023 when I was first introduced to Rainworld. In my hunt for memes and more knowledge, I found the other lore in a nutshell video and realized you were the perfect channel for me as you had plenty of other content on that subject. Your art still manages to astound me, especially with the shot you did in the map Pliocene and the Warrior Cats redraws like with the waterfall. the manga and chuuou stage!!!!!

tho knocked for its inaccessibility, inability to hear the character voices and insert raps, and it being behind canon, the manga is still just like, the best way to consume hypmic’s canon lol

you get the drama tracks and additional storytelling for those tracks AND stories that help build hypmic’s world and characters!!!

all of the canon drama tracks are very accessible!!! side media not so much lol but the majority of the main story is on youtube!!!!

but bc the manga was made to accompany the tracks, you don’t get the full picture as you would with the manga lol

the legends era stage, despite not being the most faithful to the character portrayals, showed character flaws in peak dramatique lmao

thru the side characters you get a lot of worldbuilding that is relevant to canon despite its other universe status

it’s my issues with its characterisations and ESP the blatant disregard for the women that doesn’t have it higher lol

like sometimes character traits are played up for a comedic effect but it doesn’t detract from the character itself lol

HouseMates - m. werewolf x m. vampire - Chapter Two (sfw)

I asked on Discord if there was interest in seeing more of this, and you answered! Thank you! I have now got this chapter and half of the next one written, and I know exactly what the whole story's main beats will be, so that's promising!! I also heard you loud and clear (also on Tumblr) about more Laces for a Lady, so I'll be making that one a priority, as well as working on June's Patreon exclusive story.

As I've got to know our vampire while I'm writing him, I feel I need to bring up some content warning labels. He's also become extremely dear to me; in the same category as Lein from Footsteps in the Snow, which is a category not occupied by very many of my OCs. Do heed the content warnings, even if they're not the main focus of the story, and decide for yourself if exploring his story (and his backstory later) is for you. Like I said it's not going to be the main focus of the story, but it's part of his character so I thought it was worth mentioning.

Future content warning (slight spoilers too, sorry). Though not necessarily explicit in this chapter, this will all come up later in the course of the story, and you can see the beginnings of it here already if you read between the lines: PTSD, depression, anxiety, social isolation, touch starvation, disordered eating (feeding?), lack of self-worth, and past abuse. Also content warnings for some healthy and consenting D/s play in the nsfw bits.

Specific warnings will be given at the start of relevant chapters in the future. I didn't want to make it seem like the story is going super dark or anything (it's me after all), but I also didn't want anyone to be taken by surprise. Hope I haven't nuked the vibes by starting with all this here... There's a lot of softness and growth and affection ahead too, I promise. And some protecc werewolf, because I love that too :).

S Tier: Rabbit and Marion. Rabbit is big, she lifts, she's done unethical things to her body. Marion has a gun in a gun-scarce world and is also smart about which fights are worth fighting, and which ones need to be ended before they can really start.

A Tier: Nat and Teo. Nat has combat experience, is unafraid to use a knife, and has a lot of frustrations to let out. We see them demonstrate this in Reburial. A lot. Teo, for his part, has gotten into enough brawls to know his way around them.

B Tier: Haru. She prefers not to get into fights, so she has less experience than the previous four on this list. She's ruthless, but she carries her strength in her legs and doesn't punch all that hard.

C Tier: Ron. It's not that he's weak, he's just squeamish about hurting people. He'd rather run than fight, so he pulls his punches a lot.

D Tier: Matcha. It's kind of a joke that she carries a knife for self defense, she barely knows how to use it. She goes through all of her other options first before ever resorting to a fight.

In case me and @predvestnik roleplaying them from the start wasn't clear enough: CHAEYA. I fell for these two down a well immediately. Unashamedly obsessed with them.

What are you willing to RP when it comes to shipping?

Most things that don't border on the standard taboo/wrong things tbh. I like a lot of dynamics as long as the muses click or develope in a way that click together and flows natural, I'm game to see where they go as long as we don't have to force them together- not like in a room and tossing the keys, I'm talking about forcing the muses to interact with stuff that just doesn't feel natural btw...

I also love fluff. Fluff that goes somewhere, fluff that goes nowhere........ just cute stuff. Fluff after a good development between muses, some introspective threads that I absolutely lose my mind for, and some angst if I'm in the mood and it needs to be planned in a way that doesn't suddendly break the relationship forever. 

How large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?

Minor/Adult, as a normal person, is completely off the table, and also mentor/mentree makes me uncomfortable. This goes without saying.

I have two old OCs that are 43 and 55 respectively, so I'd say 10 years gap is okayyyyy-ish...? As long as it's a reasonable one (ex. 34 and 44) with both parts as CLEAR adults.

Are you selective when shipping?

HOO BOY. YEAH. I need to be comfortable with someone and definitely have a trial ship period to see if they click, and I only ship with people I have talked OOCly. That's not negotiable, sorry. I like discussing our replies with my partners when we can get around to it or I'll cry (this is a joke).

I'm also very inclined to quietly pull away in case I feel I'm being relegated to the last possible tier of your priority list in terms of threads/asks or if I perceive a big dip of interest without an explanation to why, but I like to think I'm getting better at communicating when I feel this is happening. Doesn't mean I'm always successful in it tho :(

How far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW?

HMMMM I'd say as soon as one of the muses involved start feeling aroused- if the thread progresses into doing the horizontal tango, it's all going either on Discord or under the good ol' read more. I'm not super comfortable doing NSFW stuff between muses unless there's trust built up and I'm certaintly not a fan of smut becoming the center of a dynamic once it's brought in.

Not a lot! I usually select a few people I'm comfy with and sit in a corner huddled with them. I didn't had particulary good experiences with ships before making Kaeya, so I'm naturally a big cagey when it comes to that. I also tend to just distance if something happens or I perceive it's happening, but I'm getting better at that.

Are you multiship?

Yessssss but I'm pretty selective... if it clicks and we kinda know eachother, I'll ship it and be happy with it. Most of my verses are closed, ship-wise. Whoopsie.......

B - All of the capable, but peaceful gods. Ezemhaziel (god of refined magic) we are going at the start of his Arc.

Tulaim (fire god) was raised mortal so not as egotistical as other gods.

Olsaan (God of true death) He has no reason to fight. You cannot fight death, he will outlast you.

Paeliae- He is not generally a fighter but could hold his own with magic and strategy if he needed to.

Tyro- They are just starting to control their abilities so dangerous but not all to precise.

C- Rhosemne (goddess of memory) She doesn’t get out much. The mind realms are not quite physical.

Kell- She has never been trained and has never needed to fight. She is also quite thin and weak from years of poor nutrition.

Zahra- She has never needed to, but is thinking about learning now.

D- Rin, our boy knows some magic but he couldn’t use it when it mattered.

Ander- He is a privileged Emresian who barely knows what a storm is, let alone a fight.

Ko- He is so sweet and lovely and would never try to hurt you. His spirit is overprotective for this reason.

Daira- Again would not try to hurt you even if you attacked first. Her spirit on the other hand…
