Hi, I do think exposing is childish but... I want to warn people. Ever since, like around 2024, august? I was invited to a groupchat, filled with people who posts on tumblr! some were ppl i didnt know about. And.. there is marie. I thought marie was a sweet person at first, didnt talk to her since i didnt know her that much. ever since the month grew, there's a chaos drama about dodo. (i am not bringing it up that much but it will be some information direct to that chaos)

it was around... october? I dont know but lets forget that! past 3 days, marie was being too dramatic, calling me and @awwriri sensitive. (just to tell you that, I can reclaim the slurs since i took an irl test but idk if its a thing since the doctor said "it was to check if i have autism" but it was positive i guess!) It was during the lil-liaa chaos. I didnt want to say the r slur to her but i ended up saying it since there were alot of things happening. As you can tell, i asked permission to say the slur, I was worried if i am really meant to say the slur in the gc. (please anyone dont get uncomfortable!) all of the sudden, she called me insensitive..? I didn't know asking permission is considered impolite or insensitve.. we all had a small talk with marie. everything went a little okay (I assumed.) there are evidences of our small talk.

I apologised... many times. MANY TIMES. "don't be sorry" i will have to be sorry because you bashed on me and riri bc of the slur now the whole server bc of dodo?? U can't be that serious. I also mentioned that everyone deserve to be forgiven! guess marie cant accept that. I thought riri was the owner of the gc, of course i had to ask her permission but no. she wasnt the owner. i was dumb enough to not check who's really the admin of the gc. When we had a small conversation about slurs, she mentioned she cant reclaim the N WORD bc others used it?... Although she used it when she just said it TWICE. (ITS NOT A RACISM SLUR, SHES AFRICAN)

i was just trying to make a conversation, setting up a new type of topic since i got really annoyed and uncomfortable, talking about slurs. But, she continued, wouldnt even stop ending the conversation about it. I even try to convince her to bring riri back to the gc since we all wanted to see how she is.

.... okay. do u like.. hate riri or something? The fact she argued with riri, MAYBE ALMOST EVERY WEEK. MAYBE EVERY DAY. its just disgusting how shes treating the others like shes the oldest of the gc. (she tried to boss me, telling me not to say the slurs bc im insensitve) just so you know, vivi educated me more about slurs so i am not going to say it. (thank you vivi)

as a ddlc fan, i love self aware game characters. and if anyone in arkham knight was gonna be sentient, itd be him. unfortunately, i havent seen AKVR, so this is just regular arkham knight

-edwards the most intelligent man in gotham, of course he noticed that his life was a game. and over time, he learned how to manipulate the game around him and "see" into the outside world

-the disc hes on was sold by the original owner, and now gets passed from person to person from secondhand game shops. the disc is always returned because somethings wrong with it. nobody puts two and two together and realizes they only start having game issues when they look up answers to the riddles

-then you buy the disc. edward is mildly interested in you, as he is with everyone who buys his game, but he assumes it wont last when you struggle with his riddles. whatever, at least he can enjoy messing around with your game

-but then you dont look anything up. he watches you intently, he even hacks onto your phone to check if youve been searching answers, and youre all clear. sure, you struggle at some of his puzzles (who doesnt?), but you never cave and look up how to solve it, no matter how long it takes you

-now that hes poking around on your phone, he sees that youre kind of a shut in. you dont have many contacts, and the one social media you have is tumblr. but it looks like you fixate on him a lot, almost to an unhealthy degree. its flattering- of course someone as excellent as him deserves sycophants! and he especially deserves one as devoted as you! youre smart, and determined, and oh lord, hes in love

-you have things to do during the day, you cant spend all your time with him on the disc, so he listens in on you from your phone. theres not much to do when youre not playing the game, so its his favorite way to pass the time. when you get home and start playing, he tries to interest you in his sidequest over everything else. he even keeps an eye on you as you sleep! he has to make sure youre safe, after all

-when youre not playing, he focuses on finding a way out to you (or bringing you in to him). he needs to be able to hold you, to keep you safe himself, and if he has to drag you kicking and screaming into the game with him, he will. not that he really knows how to do that, but he'll figure out something

-on your end, you dont notice anything at first. maybe his lines when you play are a little... flirtier? but other than that, the game is fun. you feel particularly drawn to the riddler sidequest, hes your favorite character after all. then, you notice that his lines are strangely specified to you, making references to your interests and personal life. maybe its just reading your console? yeah, a fun little meta thing!

-but then it gets concerning. he calls you by name. not the name on your console, your real name. hes talking like he knows you as a person. hes saying how much he needs you, how much he adores your dedication to his riddles, your dedication to him. you decide this is too weird, you have to return the game. so you go to take it out, and-

-you wake up in what looks like the abandoned orphanage from arkham knight. you try to move, but you feel arms squeeze you tight

-"there you are, my dear player. we're going to have so much fun together"

oopsies i forgot to show you guys the finished product of this yeah a few weeks ago the rp actually finished completely. im really happy with how this animatic came out and id definitely be willing to finish it. itd definitely take me a year at the least though this rp means the world to me. im gonna be emotional for a second sorry folks but like i havent had this much fun in a roleplay since my old warrior cat rp days- even then they were never as good as this one was. none gave me this much whimsy a thank you to @interncontinental for hosting this amazing rp. you're awesome /gen anyways, timestamps below ! this is gonna be. another wall of text.Again. so cw for text wall if ur prone to seizures caused by text. ive tried spacing the text out to help but it's probably still pretty bad, so forewarning !

0:00 ink and error (alongside many others) are trapped in this safehouse(the multiverse outside it is collapsing) which. as the name depicts. keeps them safe the safehouse has a dome surrounding it that's miles thick with concrete, metal, all that 0:13 error REALLY does not like being trapped here, so he tried breaking through the walls with his blasters 0:26 ink attempts to convince him not to (as it is against the rules to break the walls) but error doesn't listen. they have a big fight and error ends up breaking the dome's outer layer- which is what essentially lights up the entire place, and gives the illusion they're on earth. 0:51 he, alongside ink, are sent to a dungeon as punishment. (they end up making a friend there) and they use the owner of the dome's aunt to bribe him into letting everyone out. 1:17 error and the owner end up having a private discussion, in which error realizes the owner- the guy he DESPISED, was exactly like him. they both killed multiverses. they both killed people for fun. 1:22 he ends up having a fight with his own morals, before deciding he'd change for the better. 1:29 error frees the owner's aunt in exchange for the freedom of the people locked in the dungeon with him. 1:42 while he's walking out of the dungeon, he apologizes to ink for everything he's done 1:45 error walks back to his room and cries. 1:48 ink ends up pushing a chocolate bar with a note on it through the crook at the bottom of error's door the note says he forgives him. error cries again because of it. 1:51 ink and error end up hugging

1:52 eventually, ink realizes that he's run out of his lil emotion vials due to the corruption of the multiverse, which is an issue ! 1:59 due to ink's rapidly decaying health, error decides to give up half of his soul to save the guy from going kaput! this causes even more issues 2:04 nightmare- who had come to the safehouse, decides to mess with error's mind. he convinces him to get back into his old habits, under the pretense that he's weak and pathetic otherwise. error believes this. (also nightmare was redesigned by a friend of mine- her name is al! she doesnt have tumblr i dont believe though so raghh i cant ping her) 2:17 in what can only be described as a mental breakdown, error attempts to take back the half of his soul he gave to ink 2:30 error hesitates- he doesn't truly want to hurt ink, though he's not too sure why. 2:36 (its not on screen cus i couldn't fit it) error decides to capture and attempt to kill pj and gradient (who are here too!) instead, but this backfires as ink was no longer captured. ink knocks him out with his brush. 2:42 the corruption, which had been kept safely outside of the safehouse, has crept in due to corrupted individuals entering the dome. this forces everyone to escape through a previously blocked up exit the owner had built. 2:44 huge timeskip- essentially, the place they had found to live in after fleeing caught on fire, forcing everyone to run away Again! 2:46 in the new new place they had escaped to, the corruption Also arrived! the location was a cloud castle that floated above an ocean. which was quickly corrupting. the castle collapses, and floods with corrupted water. this scene needs a LOT of context-- the bandaged character by the name of blaze (owned by @teyvawni by the way go check out his stuff) arrived to the safehouse a while ago, with his brother following suit. said brother was corrupted. fresh, paperjam, and gradient were nearby when they arrived, and upon seeing the corrupted individual, fresh decided to commit Murder! this obviously upsets blaze, and he ends up killing both fresh AND pj and gradient- pj and gradient's death being present here. ink is watching 2:47 hinto, who is one of, if not the only friend error made in this roleplay ends up getting brutally murdered. this scene depicts him dying in error's embrace (you will see these two a lot whenever i draw this rp. i love them so much) 2:49 after the cloud castle collapses, they escape to what is essentially just error's void except everything is fluffy everyone present was given a choice- the universe was resetting, as the corruption had completely taken over Everything. including universes seperate from utau. you either stay awake for the 3 trillion years it took to completely reset the entire universe, or you sleep. considering error's friend was now a ghost and he didnt want to waste this time sleeping without spending time with his best friend, he chooses to stay awake for the entire 3 trillion years. 2:51 after those 3 trillion years, error is reasonably Exhausted. everyone else is exploring this new place they arrived in, while he is simply sitting in the corner and observing. he can only really stand speaking with hinto as he watches everyone else bicker and do whatever. 2:52 after error Brutally murders the person who killed hinto (this is not included in the animatic), error, ink, and dream are speaking to eachother in a nearby bamboo forest. nightmare interrupts and attacks ink with dust tagging along. big fight occurs, error and ink are mortally wounded, and are probably hashtag Screwed! 2:56 in a last ditch effort to save the people he cares about, error decides to sacrifice the half of his soul still left to save ink from dying.

soo Yeah! thats it! if this gets like. 20 notes im gunna make a comic based off of this. this isnt to incentivize people to like or reblog (Though that would be pretty swag of you ,, flutters my eyelashes) i just want an excuse :3 ill probably do it either way. eventually

hi hello! i may have spent the last.. uh... 3ish hours? reading through everything on this blog. i think it may have been more i did not think to record when i first started. the wonders of hyperfixation.

anyways this was absolutely an entertaining read. like genuinely. i had so much fun. i loved the integration of codes and cyphers. the brief period of time where kinito was having a touching moment with the anons while sonny and o started beefing in the notes (which was fucking hilarious by the way i loved that). the developing plotlines. the anons and their character development. honestly this is why i love going through tumblr askblogs because you could not get this sort of experience on any other website- its a very unique experience that this format brings to the table. its a very malleable form of roleplay, imo- removing the barriers of actually needing to know the other people personally like rp nowadays seems to be so dependent on, through the anon feature. harkening back to the olden days of rp where all you needed to do was jump into a random forum and start typing... theres also the sense of unpredictability that keeps things fresh- not even the blog owner will know exactly how the story will go, bc there will always be curveballs! its why i love reading tumblr askblogs in general. i dont know exactly how many of the storybeats here were spawned by these curveballs, but me saying that is definitely a good thing! bc that means you guys were able to integrate them into the story pretty seamlessly :)

oh another thing that i love is how kinito is actively making people worse, but not out of actual malice, instead in the 'toxic co-dependent' way, with the anons willingness to disregard their own health for him also feeding into that heavily. i feel like ive seen a lot of interpretations of kinitos relationship with the player that swing too far into either direction- either to '100% irredeemable evil' or 'he would treat me right if given the chance :((('- so its refreshing to see a sort of 'oh this relationship is making both parties worse not out of their own free will' interpretation, like how i personally think it would go. a grey area, perhaps.

like, obviously kinito wants to be better. he wants to be the perfect friend, and i believe he wants to genuinely grow as a person, but he hasnt fully... grown out of those parasocial/harmful tendencies yet. he still believes hes in the right for acting on those tendencies in some aspects, too. however, the anons arent putting up proper boundaries- they're letting kinito fully consume their lives, disregarding their health to focus solely on his cause. while yes, this is probably influenced by kinitos harmful tendencies (specifically his outbursts caused by when he thinks those anons are betraying his trust in some way), one of the first steps in fixing a toxic relationship like this is to establish boundaries- to show them when they're overstepping. this constant walking over of the anons by kinito (while not on purpose) doesnt actually help the relationship in the long run, and most likely just makes it even worse. this then, in turn, makes kinito worse- either through making that co-dependency worse as mentioned b4, or making kinito feel like hes the problem and why their lives are going to shit (which is.... technically correct, in some roundabout way. no offense kinito <3). then the anons try to reason with him, which makes them spend even more time neglecting their health to help him... so on and so forth, the ouroboros eats its own tail, etc etc.

what im saying is that literally everyone here (IN UNIVERSE) needs to go to fucking therapy jesus christ. except like.. O. funnily enough. they're just chilling at this point. good for them. please take this as the highest compliment you could ever receive because i mean it. i love when everything gets worse and all goes to shit!!!!!!!! its so fun and enriching from a story standpoint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always viewed him and his relationships with users as that toxic codependent type where Neither of them are good for each other at all... like sure with a lot. A Lot of time and healing and therapy he could be healthy but as it is? Hell no. Nobody here is okay at all. O really is probably the healthiest and even then, they've just accepted they're in their weird limbo-state and they're never coming back. It's... not exactly an ideal situation still!!

Kinito does want to get better, but every attempt in the past to "correct" him always involved some sort of attack on him, his friends reacting in fear/anger, etc. - he genuinely does not understand how to have a healthy relationship and no one has really taught him, and any attempt to try now will... not be received very well. He wants his friends to stay no matter the cost, because it's okay! He'll just show them how perfect he can be! Please, just stay!

And all the anons here... well... I think Black Heart is a pretty good example of everything you described. Theirs is probably just the most obvious deterioration right now (besides Goblin's death, which... was the other side of the coin; sacrificing too much to STOP kinito instead of to work with him). Shrimp's loving their digital life, so they're not a good example of "hey, Nito, don't drag people in!" either.

It's just a very big mess all around...

Can you just like…tell me a lot about fostering au wilbur? if not does he have any pets?

brains are so weird because i literally spend my Days only thinking about fostering wilbur and yet faced with a tumblr ask my mind goes blank… ill just say a bunch of shit about him in no particular order .

in the few things he carried with him throughout foster homes theres a small photo album thats half empty but that had a few photos of baby tommy when they left their house, and since then hes carefully taken and put in pictures of tommy as he grew up. its rare for the other foster kids they know to have baby pictures so he takes great care of it… he only shows it to tommy if he asks really nicely.

as years go by tommy realises that wilbur doesnt have any baby pictures of himself, or really any as a kid, so one christmas as a gift he manages to track down the stuff from their old family and puts together a baby photo album…. Well wilbur cries a lot when he gets it.

SPEAKING of presents… wil was gifted a guitar in one of the homes when he was about 13 and its his most prized possession, he’s so careful with it and loves it so much, it has a few stickers and he collects picks.

but when sally leaves and he’s left to take care of tommy and newborn fundy, they really struggle financially, they were always tight on money but it became Critical. he could basically only afford baby formula, enough pasta to feed 1 person twice a day (tommy had lunch at school), and he essentially fed himself off small pasta leftovers and stealing from his job in a diner (Not a great time for his relationship with food either).

so he needs money Really bad and ends up selling his guitar at the pawn shop… it breaks his heart and he refuses to talk about it, even when tommy asks how he managed to afford chicken for dinner, and tommy eventually figures it out.

for years he doesnt try to pick up any other guitar, he still sings a bit but only to put fundy to sleep, he leaves music behind all together. this is also the period where he was in a toxic relationship with his girlfriend (Not sally) .

a few years later (when hes 25; theyve broken up) at christmas he gets a large weirdly shaped package from tommy…. and he opens it and its a guitar. not a guitar, HIS guitar still with the stickers intact n everything .

tommy went to the pawn shop a few months ago and saw the guitar still there, but although they were better off by then he couldnt afford it yet. so he asked the pawn shop owner to put it aside for him, and the guy had felt bad for wilbur who was clearly so heartbroken about his guitar all those years ago so he agreed not to sell it to anyone til christmas. tommy worked his ass off and managed to buy it back…. Once again wilbur cried on christmas LMAO

vigi, as a sheriff and the owner of the fun farm, has a very strong sense of self and who he is in the world. he has to be very impartial as an arbiter of the law, and so he knows how to analyze peoples' perspectives and actions, as well as see things from their points of view. he may not be good at expressing emotions, but he does well with absorbing and processing them

fakepep is impulsive, irrational, and generally very out-of-touch with the world, but the important thing about him is that he has nothing but good intentions. he can be a creature of instinct and act poorly as such, but he doesnt have any motivations to hurt people. he is entirely pure of heart. as a clone though, i imagine he probably isnt completely sound of mind, as i cant imagine having false connections in your memory would be very pleasant.......

vigi, then, acts as fakepeps rock; he is a consistent grounding force, who is entirely frank and honest and doesnt try to sugarcoat things around him. this works very well for the worst of what happens, and having someone who will be firm without anger and serious without aggression in his life is also very helpful. in exchange, fakepep acts as a very positive force in vigis life; given that he has nothing but good intentions, he also never tries to act negatively on purpose, and is surprisingly intelligent as to when he does cause negativity. as such, the two are able to openly communicate when something does go wrong, as rare as it is, and work immediately towards improving the situation.

also fakepep will give vigi so many hugs and kisses. just so many. vigi probably needs them

honestly, im not sure, which feels kinda silly to say for someone on yanblr but. i really do prioritize him above myself in every way!! as much as i know id kill for him if he asked, i'd never ever want to scare him away. i'd do anything to show i cared, that i love him as much as i do, but i'd also make myself as small and harmless as possible if that's what needed to be done.

can’t open it because of the country i live in, but the date is set to 16 feb. the name there doesn’t match name in their link, or the name they’ve sent me per my request.

hi! sorry for responding so late. you did everything correctly and those are all definitely signs of it being a scam. i just talked w a friend about this (ill copy and paste my tips below).

i completely understand the worry. many of these red flags aren't outright indicators that every single blog that fits them is a scam, but the combination of things is what really makes the case. it's unfortunate but, a big red flag generally is if a new blog sends you an ask about donations. it's a common scam tactic from before this nakba. the scammers are just exploiting palestinians' genocide instead of the other issues they typically exploit.

obviously not all of these tips are absolute indicators of a scam and some are already things youve considered! but my general tips:

1. is the blog just new? if the icon is of a real person, is it their image? (you can reverse google image search! w mobile you'll have to save the image first and find a site for it. i typically use labnol but i can help you find alternatives if youd like!) are the posts they're reblogging related to the things that you post? (consider: how did they find you) are the posts they're reblogging coming from an actual dashboard rather than the recommendation page? (indicates that they're reblogging popular posts without any rhyme or reason to look like a real blog) is their first post a donation post and was it just made? (dates the blog. you can look in their archives to see the date of their earliest post)

2. where are they linking to? im not sure if your device has an option to preview a link url before sending you to the page but if it does, i would use that here just to be safe. do the names of the accounts match? (note that in this case, of course, many fundraisers are being raised by people outside of palestine. but if the blog claims to be the account owner, do their names seem to match? if theres a description, do the names match the ones the blog gives?) does it lead to a paypal instead of a gofundme? heavily stressing that this obv doesnt mean every request from someone using paypal is a scam, esp w the way gfm has been screwing over some palestinians, BUT paypal is often what scammers would use. gofundme is generally reliable and every fundraiser is donation protected, meaning its possible to get a refund from gofundme in the rare case that the fundraiser is a scam.

3. verifying gfm's can be a lot harder bc my go to options aren't always available. generally what i do is to look at through the organizer's updates, the fundraiser's description <- which obv you should always do anyways, and the fundraisers photos to see if theres anymore information about social media accounts related to the fundraiser. sometimes people will link twitter profiles, sometimes people will link instagram profiles. its just the same process of scrolling back as far as you can and seeing if you can identify the same face(s) from before more people started exploiting these traumas to scam others, seeing when the profile was made, checking if the images are truly from the profile's owners and not stolen, etc.

the biggest indicators imo are the stolen photos since the originals almost always link back to a name that doesn't match the blog.

y'all remember that discord rp animatic abt ink and error. guess who worked on it some more ya so a lot's happened! the animatic actually leaves off really early in the rp- a lot of stuff has been happening, its just that a lot less of it is error and ink related lol the story goes as follows: (providing timestamps so u guys know what im talking abt) 0:00 ink and error (alongside many others) are trapped in this safehouse(the multiverse outside it is collapsing) which. as the name depicts. keeps them safe the safehouse has a dome surrounding it that's miles thick with concrete, metal, all that 0:13 error REALLY does not like being trapped here, so he tried breaking through the walls with his blasters 0:26 ink attempts to convince him not to (as it is against the rules to break the walls) but error doesn't listen. they have a big fight and error ends up breaking the dome's outer layer- which is what essentially lights up the entire place, and gives the illusion they're on earth. 0:51 he, alongside ink, are sent to a dungeon as punishment. (they end up making a friend there) and they use the owner of the dome's aunt to bribe him into letting everyone out. 1:17 error and the owner end up having a private discussion, in which error realizes the owner- the guy he DESPISED, was exactly like him. they both killed multiverses. they both killed people for fun. 1:22 he ends up having a fight with his own morals, before deciding he'd change for the better. 1:29 error frees the owner's aunt in exchange for the freedom of the people locked in the dungeon with him. 1:42 while he's walking out of the dungeon, he apologizes to ink for everything he's done 1:45 error walks back to his room and cries. 1:48 ink ends up pushing a chocolate bar with a note on it through the crook at the bottom of error's door the note says he forgives him. error cries again because of it. 1:51 ink and error end up hugging

thats where the story left off previously, buuuuuut its continued :3 1:52 eventually, ink realizes that he's run out of his lil emotion vials due to the corruption of the multiverse, which is an issue ! 1:59 due to ink's rapidly decaying health, error decides to give up half of his soul to save the guy from going kaput! this causes issuesss 2:04 nightmare- who had come to the safehouse, decides to mess with error's mind. he convinces him to get back into his old habits, under the pretense that he's weak and pathetic otherwise. error believes this. (also nightmare was redesigned by a friend of mine- her name is al! she doesnt have tumblr i dont believe though so raghh i cant ping her) 2:17 in what can only be described as a mental breakdown, error attempts to take back the half of his soul he gave to ink 2:30 error hesitates- he doesn't truly want to hurt ink, though he's not too sure why. 2:36 (its not on screen cus i couldn't fit it) error decides to capture and attempt to kill pj and gradient (who are here too!) instead, but this backfires as ink was no longer captured. ink knocks him out with his brush. WAGHH so much word vomit ! this rp is so much fun though i didnt mention it in the other post but i figure id mention it here; this rp is hosted by my good friend @interncontinental! i really suggest you check his work out, he makes amazing artwork and is super creative with worldbuilding and character creation :3

a significant point about the running iron is that im going to be writing it in american english. theres a number of reasons i usually write fic for american media in british english that i wont get into right now but since im chosing to make this one about the american old west i thought it would just be too at-ods with the genre. like, usually in my fics the character/setting being american isnt really that significant but in this one it is. the authors notes, tumblr ramblings, and my lore document will all still be in my usual dialect (tho this might change for the lore doc). this also means that for the first time in several years, im going to have a beta reader, purely to check my dialect - im sure theres differences i have no idea of.

anyway, that quick note ended up longer than planned. in other news, ive been building up a lore doc to flesh out the 'western but with centaurs' setting, so im going to grab an entry and then explain how it applies to the story.

lore doc entry: brush boxes

For the purposes of grooming, almost every centaur owns a personal brush box, and they are considered important cultural items. The box itself is most often made of wood or leather, and the contents will vary slightly based upon the preferences of its owner. However, they are not intended for use by the owner. Due to the shape of a centaur and their inability to comfortably reach all areas of their body, they rely on their herd to groom them, and so will use the grooming partner’s box for them. It is a reciprocal task, often with both centaurs grooming one another simultaneously. Usually this will be family members, but for those on the move it is not uncommon for two centaurs who met that evening in the saloon to groom one another.

The most common contents of a brush box include:

Hoof pick, sometimes having a secondary smaller point for the fingernails

Nail clippers

Curry comb

Dandy (hard) brush

Body (soft) brush

Wide bristle brush for mane and tail

Comb (more common for those with feathers)

Scissors (for those who like to keep mane, tail, feathers or beard trimmed)

Razor (for stallions who prefer to be clean shaven or feathered taurs who shave)

Soap and washcloth and/or sponge

Small water basin, usually only slightly smaller than the box with other items placed inside

so, in the running iron, lydia of course packed her brush box when she left the maitlands. shes never done grooming with someone other than her parents or foster parents before and is still a bit unsure of living with beetlejuice so she doesnt ask him, but he sees her struggling to pick her hooves and offers because hes kina desperate to interact. lydia accepts but does the polite thing and asks for his box to reciprocate. he doesnt have one. he lost it a while back, and has trouble finding people to groom with. explains why whats left of his tail after it was trimmed is so fucked up. so, they share Lydia's, on the condition that he cleans everything. and that's the arrangement they keep.

it kind of sucks when quotes are stolen and the author becomes dead to the world. a very famous and never-credited quote from a very private, now-deleted personal blog that only exists on internet archive, written by non-celebrity woman Jamie Anderson: "grief is love with nowhere to go." this quote reminds me of one with similar mysterious origins, "grief is love perserving." episode 8 of wandavision, a popular marvel show where that quote is supposedly from, aired in 2021, yet is predated by a tiny internet comic allegedly made in 2019 that verbatim says that same thing. made by a very small, surrealist french artist Emil Friis Ernst, it's hard to toe the line between innocent coincidence and not even knowing of Emil's existence or his work to even steal from, and plagiarism that just has a strong argument for reasonable deniability. not to mention, i swear that quote made rounds before 2021. i remember seeing them in what's basically now lost media tumblr posts before wandavision even existed. Jamie Anderson's identity is a mysterious one, and her lack of social media makes it impossible to communicate with her and know the possible origins of her quote or her desire with how it's handled. her quote is only credited some of the time, sometimes it says -Unknown. maybe she refuses having a platform because she's shy? maybe she dislikes social media on a moral level? maybe she, too, doesnt know the origins of the quote, and its all a crab bucket of opportunism? there is no way to know because there is no way to ask, whoever she is. what i can say is that songs, articles, and all types of media have used that quote. and each person that used it and passed it off as their own original work have possibly profited from it. of course, it's entirely possible that Wandavsion's usage of that one perserving-grief-quote is entirely part of the creative process, where multiple people can have the same idea at once and not steal from eachother. reposting without credit, plagiarism, and overall confusion about who made what is an occupational hazard to the creative field and can be ruled off as such, same with two people coincidentally thinking the same string of words at once and not intentionally stealing from the other, right? it's an innocent and maybe mildly embarrassing and confusing thing at best and a huge loss at worst. but the thing about disney, owner of marvel and wandavision, is that they partake in unethical business practices, such as having a track record of stealing from places, in particular people, that are far less popular than they are. the writer of the show, Jac Schaeffer, has actually gone on record and described the creative process for that particular quote, specifically framed through a feminist lens. if that is true, that means skill and thought between multiple people went in to creating that quote, and it wasn't just someone or a some company stealing something. it appears that they are the ones to have popularized it. but in the back of my mind, i cant help but feel a bit cheated. and im still not convinced that they're the first one to say it. assuming the best and that the jac schaeffer and/or her creative team isnt pathologically lying, then it's true that she and her editor luara monti didnt steal that quote. but that still doesnt mean they created it, it's still predated by that comic. so who is the true creator? it's true that there is a popular creator, but that there isn't one single creator. maybe it's constantly being created, and there is no singular creator. created by multiple people by accident, over and over, unintentionally interlinked through a deep, shared feeling. maybe it's a meta-poetic commentary on human connection. or maybe disney did something bad again. there are popular and meaningful quotes that affect parts of the population and culture at large, and for them to have such preventably obscure origins is a huge loss. what other amazing quotes have the authors come up with before dying to obscurity?
