[MOVIE RESPONSE] EXTREME JOB

Thank God It’s Friday and my day was filled with laughter because of this movie. Extreme Job was released in Korea on 29 January 2019, but they started screening it in my country since 20 February 2019. This movie is quite hyped since it is said that this movie is currently being the second biggest all-time hit in South Korea. As of today it has been grossing around $114,2 million which is almost 19 times bigger than its budget which was $5,8 million. Damn! the actors and the crew must get a lot of bonuses. They’re getting richer. lol

Most viewers of course came from South Korea, since the country is known for having tons of movie-goers. When I stepped into the cinema, so many banners all over the cinema. Korean entertainment industry is always good at promoting. I always love how they always put a lot of effort to make a fresh and entertaining story. Sokor is filled with creative and talented people, they really work so hard to produce things. This movie is one of the evidence. It’s pure ENTERTAINING. There is barely sad thing on this movie, so it’s really fun to be watched at the weekend to forget about your daily suck life and you just want to laugh. A light movie that won’t be making you think so hard nor depressed.

But here is a short-description from Wikipedia about the movie “ A team of detectives who start a chicken restaurant for an undercover drug-bust operation, but end up busier than ever when their chicken restaurant becomes famous for its food.” Funny, that people in my country like to make joke like “if you find a street vendor who sells food but it doesn't tasty or it taste bland and bad, it means they are detective in disguise as a street vendor,” lmaooo. On this movie, when they disguised as chicken restaurant owner and staff, they ended up having large of customers because the taste of their fried chicken was so good. They failed on focusing to their main mission, lmaooo. Fried chicken restaurants was spreaded all over the city in South Korea. People in the country like to eat fried chicken with beer, and they name the combo as Chimaek. They prefer to eat their own local brand fried chicken rather than western fried chicken brand such as KFC. When I tasted their local fried chicken, it’s indeed super good. No wonder, they’re so proud with their local cuisine.

When I checked the director of the movie, apparently it was directed by Lee Byeong Heon which I’ve ever seen the film he involved in as the writer which was Tazza: The Hidden Card. No wonder there were Lee Dong Hwi and Lee Honey as both also played at Tazza movie. Speaking of Lee Honey’s act, she did quite a good job while Lee Dong Hwi was quite different on this movie since he played a serious role. I usually saw him getting witty and comedy roles. He was good on this movie though. Gong Myung was just okay to me. He played a rookie cop. This is my first time seeing actor Jin Seon Kyu. He’s pretty okay. And let’s talk about the lead role which is Ryu Seung Ryong. GOSHH, He’s always SUPERB. A few years ago when I watched Miracle In Cell No. 7, I totally cried a river and even depressed because of the movie. DAMN, His acting as a mentally-impaired-man was so convincing. Don’t forget his Netflix series which was also quite hyped KINGDOM. He played as a villain. I hate his character huh. He totally looked different. He’s truly a great actor and good at picking job!!

I think I will give the score for this movie around 8.5/10. I highly recommend this movie for those people who need a happy pill. Go watch it and enjoy!!
