Allow me to introduce you to a rather self-indulgent AU, being my Burlesque AU. In which Oz left his job as Beacon's headmaster to start up his own Burlesque club :>

Got Oz as a twitch streamer thonks.

I like to think he plays little indie cosy games with a sprinkle of animal crossing.

He has a very stressful life and just wants to unwind.

And chat is always full of people like oh man I needed this, good vibes only.

He always talks about his love for the game, be it the mechanics to the concept to the artsyyle.

And if a student of his made it you just know he's going to praise it.

Games like Coffee talk, unpacking etc.

He also definitely plays animal crossing.

Oz's favourite animal crossing character is Blathers because he reminds him of Oobleck.

He has recreated his fashion sense in the game.

His house is a small cabin and he gets teary eyed when someone compliments it.

Says it "reminds me of simpler times."

He also has a fondness for Professor Layton.

Smiling warmly whenever someone says "corporate wants you to spot the difference."

Absolutely has referred to Luke as Oscar.

Played the pacifist route of Undertale and hums along to the songs.

Just goes

"Oh.. Oh no" whenever shit goes down.

He did play untitled goose game and went absolutely unhinged and apologised after but everyone in the chat was egging him on.

Rewatched some episodes of vol 3 and I keep being sure that Winter was called to Vale so Ironwood could get her into the inner circle.

Winter did say that she didn't know that Ironwood was grooming her to be the Winter Maiden until after the Fall of Beacon, but judging the way they talk during that scene in the tower—her telling Qrow "We had reason to believe you were compromised" and then Ironwood telling her he'd discuss everything with her later—even if she didn't know what he was planning for her, he likely had already told her about the whole inner circle thing, and she had some notion of what was truly going on. Chances are he told her behind Ozpin's back. And his intention was likely to introduce her to Ozpin as a possible Maiden candidate. Maybe (and I mean it, maybe) as a candidate for Fall Maiden originally, given the circumstances at the time and the need they had for a new Fall Maiden ASAP.

The whole thing was blown, but idk it's possible. Ozpin was known for eyeing his students and seeing who were worth recruiting for the cause. Ironwood did the same.

Jaune: *hands trembling* I... I-i couldn't remember their faces. I have lost almost all memories of my family, and the only reason why i remembered my friends... *Take a shaky breath* Was because i was getting reminders of them.

Oscar(Ozpin): Have you talked with them?

Jaune: ... I talked with Saphron... I... I almost forgot i had a nephew...

Oscar(Ozpin): ...

Jaune: *low sigh* Don't tell my teammates, not team RWBY, but i wasn't stuck in the ever after for just 20 years.

Oscar(Ozpin): *sigh* I feared as much... Do you know how long?

Jaune: Day's didn't make sense, but once i found a clock that worked, i did count the days... *Looking in Ozpin eyes* it was already 20 years when i met Alyx... I was already the rusted knight at this point... I probably died too. It would explain why i almost didn't age during that time.... And how i kept my sanity... Every time I see myself in the mirror, i see a stranger...

Oscar(Ozpin): I understand this feeling, it... Doesn't go away, but it does mitigate with time...
