Until now I've only ever played the Kingdom Hearts games on the highest possible per version (which, for the last decade or so, has meant beating them on Critical Mode). While these games are mostly balanced on the highest difficulty (except for CoM - but not RVRB - and BBS, which are laughably breakable with any amount of critical thought, shoutout Sonic Blade in CoM and Thundaga in BBS) playing on Critical Mode (heretofore referred to as CM) means optimizing the living shit out of how you play.

For that reason, I have decided to go back through all the games and play them on Standard Mode to really stop and smell the flowers. I started with KH2FM, my favorite and yesterday got to Olympus Coliseum and it was really rewarding. I'm using the Hidden Dragon Keyblade, one I haven't ever used before because, on CM, the MP Rage ability doesn't make up for it's stats being the lowest of the Keyblades at that point, and it's amazing to have MP Rage this early in the game.

Pain is something that has always been a driving force for artists when creating their masterpieces. Whether it be through heartbreak, emotional trauma, desperation or your ex writing a blog post about you saying how horrible you were to them, well that’s exactly what RVRB (otherwise known as Cameron Mitchell) had to go through. RVRB let’s out his pain in this emotionally charged R&B track called Ex. When listening to this song the one thing that stands out, besides the somber production, is the emotion you can hear within his voice. When hearing this vocal you feel like you’re going on a journey with him, experiencing the heartbreak and betrayal of someone you were once so close with stabbing you in the back for no reason and you feel that pain he went through.
