Lizzie is playing card games with Kitty when Kitty isn't taking a cat nap

Apple gets major motion sickness (which is weird because she rides a dragon just fine) and always feels bad when people complain about her having her window open

Melody and Sparrow argue over who's music to blast on the bluetooth speaker until everyone agrees on singing whatever's on the radio station to pass time

Hunter and Ashlynn are playing "I spy" with different plant species and Jillian and Nina join in halfway through out of boredom

     Fluffed tails flicked back and forth while a bent-over figure sifted through a currently packed bag, Nicole standing next to him all the while, an informative pamphlet in her hands. The company’s name was nice and sizable near the top, Treld Excursions, while packed to the brim with details the kit loved to hear. A check with Sonic and Knuckles had them telling about how they had received much of the same invitation. A fun getaway sounded perfect to Tails, especially if the lot of his friends were getting it, too. Which left overthinker Tails to pack up his entire homestead into a decently sized blue backpack. Because of course he would.

     “Your handheld device, other electronics, their chargers, some power and red star rings in case you have some funky power issues and need a boost, spare shoes, brush, comb...”

     “Yeah, bedding utilities... Spare covers, sheets, pillows, nightclothes... And tent. ...Right?”

     “Wow, really nice of them, we had to bring our own for the last camping trip. Alright, no tent. Tools can be sent on over to our location via glove compartment, so I can save space with that. Hm... Says attention-keeping items like games. Guess I can work on a few side projects while we’re driving. --Eh, working on a shakey RV sounds like a pain, forget the projects and substitute it out with some books. Phone for music, too. Alright...seems like everything! How’s the list lookin’, Nicole?”

     Ah, there’s the slight blush against his fur again. “N-No, that won’t be necessary. Just kinda forgot eating was a thing, y’know? Who doesn’t from time to time?” He’s really gonna hope that those on-road meals are good, because he kinda can’t tote his entire robotic meal makers with him on the trip. Some granola bars should do the trick...right? He’s really gotta learn how to cook already.

Tails:

    His work was attempted to be kept away from everyone else, but this RV wasn’t all that big. Certainly much smaller than his workshop at home. That over-the-shoulder sensation of someone staring over your shoulder had ears flick with a minor anxious sensation. Hope he wasn’t being annoying with everything he was performing currently.

    Well, at least Shadow was perhaps interested enough to ask about it. He quietly dimmed the light on his hologram before turning around. “Yeah, but normal surfboards don’t have dual hydro-pump booster engines in the back of’em.” Said with a small chuckle. “You’ve road Extreme Gear before, right? I’m making my own versions that work with water instead of air.” His shining example above his wrist was held over to Shadow. It was a self-made blueprint of every interworking mechanism inside Extreme Gears, made from a sheer unadulterated fascination with those boards. The complexities were uncountable, but Tails seemed to be working with it just fine.

    “You’ll be able to get mad air with these puppies, do stunts only imaginable in your dreams, and boost for even more speed and height! You wouldn’t wanna try one out when we get to the beach, would you?” Asked with twin-tails waving back and forth, dancing with anticipation.

      “So basically, surfboards you don’t need waves to ride around on,” is what he gathers from this in relation to his earlier interrogation. He didn’t quite grasp the point of a board that would push you forward when the point of surfing was to catch waves so they’d do just that; but the concept of having the freedom to move around on water regardless of currents isn’t lost on him.

      His book is discarded, of course - not that he even realizes when he leans forward to get a better look at the hologram Tails is holding out to him. It looks like X-Gear all right, something Shadow has indeed played around with a couple years back. And while he’s never surfed on water so to speak, being quite at ease in the water, this sounds like the perfect way to get a taste of the sport...

       He can try keeping his cool and his voice even all he wants, wide eyes and undivided attention clearly give away his interest. “Well, if you happen to have a spare lying around...”

RV!EAH Thumbell concept

I was thinking about the legacy of Thumbelina in the context of RV!EAH. For some context, in the story Thumbelina is born from a tulip and raised by a regular sized woman. So my idea for RV!EAH is that, unlike other characters who are their story’s protagonist, the destiny of Thumbelina is not passed down through parentage. Basically, Thumbell was not born to the previous Thumbelina, nor was she raised. (The legacy that is passed down through is the role of the Flower Fairy Prince, whose parents would be the previous generation’s Thumbelina and Flower Fairy Prince).

Thumbell was born from a plant and raised by her human mother. She has an older sister who’s graduated from Ever After High, whose destiny is to raise the next Thumbelina after Thumbell.

Also, Thumbelina gets a new name at the end of the story, so I imagine each generation of Thumbelina is only known as Thumbelina/some variant of it until they complete their story and get a new name. I’m imagining some sort of mini-arc for Thumbell where she gets to choose her own name, which is obviously Nina.

Lil RV Poppy doodle to kind of show off the different courses in RV!EAH

I mentioned in a previous post that the school has a separate course that people without legacies/destinies can enrol in. Well I’ve decided it’s called the Foundation Course. It costs a lot and it’s hard to get in, though people with connections to Legacy Course students have a higher chance. Generally most siblings of Legacy Course students will attend Ever After High through the Foundation Course. Poppy was in the Foundation Course until 4th year, when Holly ‘convinced’ Headmaster Grimm to let her into the Legacy Course (via blackmail). Charming Families are sort of an exception where every Charming, even those with unknown destinies, are allowed into the Legacy Course. This is because, with the abundance of stock princes and princesses in fairy tales, every Charming is expected to have a destiny eventually

Also, the school does have a uniform. For the Legacy Course the regulations for the uniform are surprisingly loose. While there is a base uniform that’s pretty standard, generally the only requirement is that the outfit be in the school’s colours and the school logo is visible. For the Foundation Course the uniform requirements are much stricter, they must have all items of the uniform on at all times, they aren’t allowed to take off their blazers outside of class, all girls must wear tights no matter what, etc. Of course, both courses are allowed to wear their own clothes on non-school days

Foundation Course students have more freedom when it comes to choosing their classes, but their selection of classes is a lot smaller than the Legacy Course classes. While Legacy Course students have dorm rooms in the school, Foundation Course students either travel to the school everyday or can move into the student accommodation buildings in BookEnd. The two courses are separated in the school by different parts of the building and there’s rarely a chance for the two courses to interact with each other during school hours

*While having the mind of a 15 year old, and having an appearance that resembles a teenager, Cedar would technically be only 5 years old as she was built and given life five years prior to the story

**Cupid is physically and mentally 15 years old but does not age regularly due to immortality (lot of adverbs in that sentence). I’m saying this for context. Cupid is not in EAH during the first year of the story but when she transfers she’s in 5th year (with the listed 4th years here and not the listed 5th years)

Eheh Cedar!!

I think Cedar is one of the characters whose personality is more similar to the original version than not, though RV Cedar is a lot worse at socialising. She can also be pretty naive and people who aren’t her friends tend to find her childish and kind of annoying

I mentioned it before but despite resembling a teenager and having the mind of one, by literally definition Cedar is five-to-six years old. When she was given life her body was like a kids and as the years went by her dad would modify it to match her mental age. Cedar’s grandfather did the same to Cedar’s dad and was the first to do it. This is actually considered a deviation from her destiny as typically the Pinocchio would stay looking like a kid until he became human. Also, Cedar only spent the first year of her life not attending Ever After High

A little fun fact is that Cedar has had a different roommate every year at EAH because all her roommates would request to not be roomed with her the next year. The one exception to this was Blondie, who was Cedar’s roommate in 2nd year, and Cedar requested to not be roomed with her next year

Cedar is a trans girl and because of her honesty curse she’s forced to be out. Most of her peers are accepting (even those who believe in the destiny system, since they don’t see think Pinocchio being a boy is necessary for the story). The adults are more of a mixed bag on if they’re accepting or not

Cedar’s in a class for characters who cause mischief and she’s nearly failing

I guess a major difference for RV Cedar is that she plays a bigger role in the story. She’s obviously in RV!EAH’s vers of A Wonderlandiful World, which happens generally the same way with mild differences due to personality changes, she plays a role in the Way to Wonderland rewrite, and she’s the main character for a new arc. This arc doesn’t have a name yet but it pulls a lot from the Adventures of Pinocchio and features other puppets. These puppets are based on Commedia Dell’Arte stock characters and they’re significantly less ‘human’ in behaviour than Cedar, and almost all of them have no desire to be anything more than what they were made to be. Almost all of them. I do have an idea for another arc that has Cedar as a main character but I’m not sure if it’ll be included in the end, it’s kind of convoluted and doesn’t really ‘fit’ with RV!EAH.

Gonna talk about RV!EAH Cupid & Blondie

First things first, they aren’t roommates. Cupid wasn’t at EAH during the first year of the story and when she does join she’s in the year below Blondie

Second things second, some context on what Blondie and Cupid are like. Blondie is obsessed with both maintaining status and knowing everything. Cupid is being actively advised to lie about herself when she’s in EAH, hiding her bone elemental traits and disguising herself as a ‘cherub’

When Cupid transfers to Ever After High, Blondie immediately convinces Headmaster Grimm to let her be Cupid’s guide around the school. Not only is Cupid a literal demigoddess, but she’s also a transfer students from a school no one knows about? Immediate target for Blondie

The two do end up being good friends, but the problem is that Cupid’s personality is fake. She’s trying to play into the personality that the Ever After High students expect from a Love Deity. She holds back on her snarky and deviant behaviour to play the soft, lovey type. While this fake personality affects how she feels about all her relationships at Ever After High, it particularly makes her feel guilty about her friendship with Blondie, as Blondie was her first and closest friend. It’s gets worse when Blondie starts to develop a crush on Cupid, which Cupid is aware of since she can tell when someone is in love

Then comes along the True Hearts Day arc, where Cupid finds out the EAH equivalent of Valentine’s Day had been banned before (up until that point, she assumed it simply didn’t exist in EAH). This is when Cupid’s fake personality starts to come undone. After successfully pulling off the secret True Hearts Day celebration, Cupid acts more like herself. This is also when she starts openly associating with the Rebels (previously she put on a persona of being ‘neutral’). This bothers Blondie, who’s fully on the Royal’s side.

Blondie eventually confronts Cupid about this shift. She accuses Cupid of being deceitful. This blows up into an argument where Cupid kind of goes too far. Cupid, outside of dealing with ‘love’, isn’t too good at handling emotions, especially with mortals. She calls Blondie annoying, attention-seeking, and calls out Blondie’s crush on her, which Blondie herself was in denial about. This basically ruins their friendship

And then Cupid leaves EAH before they can fix it because they’re both stupid and stubborn and didn’t talk to each other for the rest of the year
