Richie:

- Phone is cracked to all hell. Paul forced him to get an otterbox phone case so it won’t break as often. Richie actually used to have one of those really chunky and obnoxious Sanrio cases but it kept falling out and cracking

- Has a shit ton widgets, one for Spotify, one for doulingo, and one for a chibi cat game he downloaded

- His photos are loaded with screenshots and memes of his favorite anime’s and characters, with the occasional Ruth and Peter here and there

- Richie has a bunch of stickers plastered around his phone, some from comic cons and some from Ruth

- Has three sets of headphones for his phone, a wire one, big wireless headphones, and wireless earbuds

- Phone is always at 20% or 10%

- Has about 500 billion AO3 tabs open on his google account

- His phone wallpaper is Asuka and Rei fanart

- Usually has his phone on DND, which causes his family and friends to worry when he doesn’t respond because he doesn’t see it

Peter:

- A really sturdy and old looking phone, but not like a Nokia

- Barley a scratch, he keeps good care of his belongings, thank you very much

- One single sticker from Richie and a small drawn on heart from Steph(he couldn’t get richies sticker off and he didn’t want to get Steph’s heart off)

- Owns Pandora to listen to music

- Has 6 numbers exactly, all others are either deleted or moved to Junk. In order, his mother, Ted, Richie, Ruth, Steph, and Grace. He doesn’t message Grace much, he only got her number for the plan

- Has beanies on speed-dial(for pickup when Ted wants coffee)

Ruth:

- Do NOT go through her photos or search history…

- Too many phone numbers, mostly from telemarketers. She saves them and messages them when she’s particularly lonely until they block her

- Ruth’s phone case is mostly stickers at this point. Doesn’t matter what it is, if she finds it on the ground, she slaps it on

- Her phone wallpaper is a plain color. She never learned how to change it

- Has Richie and Spotify on speed dial

- Ruth always has tangled headphones in her backpack, which takes her approximately an hour to untangle

- Back of her phone is cracked to the point you can see the inter workings of the phone

Steph:

- The latest and up to date phone(‘curtesy’ of her father)

- Her phone wallpaper is a photo of Peter she took

- Most of her photos are of her dog, Peter, Ruth, and Ritchie, but she does have a lot of selfies and photos of herself when she dresses up and posts them on instagram

- Has a lot of phone numbers, not because she talks to a lot of people but just because she gets peoples numbers then forgets the text them

Decided I’d give this template a shot to practice drawing the characters. I changed it up a bit though, originally this had the alternate cat and N and the Preacher were separate. I thought since N and the Preacher are kinda similar shaped/simple looking I’d just make them one box so I could make space for Ruth. The cat alternate is just….a cat, so I replaced it with Jude.

Russell T Davies: here is a young trans woman of colour, a disabled scientist who's an ambulatory wheelchair user and has rockets and stun-darts in her wheelchair, and a glorious new Doctor who's played by a gay refugee originally from Rwanda. They are all unbelievably awesome and are in various ways saving the world. Any questions?

Also RTD: oh and also this other Doctor (who is played by a vocally left-wing Scottish man who's very supportive to his trans kid and is generally an LGBT+ ally) is going to demonstrate that sometimes mentally ill people need to rest rather than being constantly told that working is the cure for everything. Just so you know.

Some More NPMD Headcanons:

- Peter holds open doors for people even if he’s not walking through the door. He’ll just open doors for people.

- Richie Narruto runs almost everytime he runs.

- Steph owns 2 dogs, Janet and Dale.

- Peter runs an account on TikTok that’s fairly popular and even Max follows it and comments frequently, but if Max ever found out it was Peter running it he would burn his phone then Peter.

- Peter calls all adults by Mr. or Ms. Except for Ted. He will ALWAYS call Ted by his first name.

- Paul texts ‘haha’ when he finds something funny. Not ‘lol’, not ‘lmao’, just ‘haha’.

- The nerds get high by stealing Paul’s hidden stash of weed he keeps under his bed. He swears he only uses it to relax when he needs to ‘relax’ for bedtime.

- Paul constantly embarrasses Richie by accident by telling stories about when he was younger.

- Ted used to be really into the punk scene and was in a band for a few years before he quit to move to Hatchetfield with his family.

- Peter is the favorite child. He’s their pride and joy.

- Richie does play anime games, but he has also played Life Is Strange, What Remains Of Edith Finch, and The Walking Dead.

- Richie and Trevor sort of have a relationship like Louise and Tina from Bobs Burgers.

- Richie and Trevor live with Paul in his apartment, Ruth lives with her parents in the nice side of town, Peter lives with his mother that’s in the same neighborhood as Ruth, but occasionally visits Ted in his complex, Stephanie lives with her father in his mansion, and Max sort of lives with his father if he’s not at a ‘friends’ house.

- Richie has plantar fasciitis usually seasonally, due to the football games. When it gets especially bad he has to bring his cane to school(which has been kicked around by Max more often than not).

- Trevor and Richie have theater and football practice respectively, so they both stay until(the latest) 6 pm and drive home after Richies done showering.

- Max doesn’t like to be wrong, so he’ll do anything and everything in his power to make it so he is right.

- Trevor is allistic while Richie is autistic.

- Richie is actually pretty mean to people when he’s good friends with them, the only downside to this is when he actually hurts someone’s feelings and he doesn’t know what to do.

- Richie and Steph’s friendship is like Francine and Roger from American Dad.

- Ruth, Richie, and Peter all play Minecraft together occasionally. It’s usually after a big football game. Richie and Ruth always team up to fuck with Peter like making a huge TNT explosion right outside his house.
