Music seems to be such male-dominated profession. I'm trying to form an all-female band, in the name of female separatism and all I fucking get in Poland are scrotes. The fact I happen to like progressive rock and heavy metal, makes things worse. I don't mind listening to all-male bands, making about of them inspiration for my music (for example I love Geddy Lee's singing, because it matches my own voice), but notice the patterns, they usually separate themselves from women and don't allow women into their spaces (see - Yoko Ono trope). How many times do I have to wait for a proper all-female band to come out?

Rush fan from Poland here. I stand with Cherie Currie, nonetheless. As a female musician, I was discriminated many times against by male musicians. I'm not going to tolerate any misconduct from Rush any longer. Besides, Geddy Lee appears to hate Poland, severely and this is my country.

People not believing Cherie Curries account of Rush being dicks is kind of crazy. Do you know how young they were in 1977. Of course they were dicks. Your faves are MALES. At least they didnt fuck kids (impressive)

How Geddy Lee dares to speak about Poland like that, when meanwhile Palestinians are getting killed by the Israelis? As a radical feminist, I do recognize both countries are bad for women and I will post the UN file as a proof, but Palestine is being occupied, not the other way around! Polish people were victims and what Geddy is doing is clearly blaming the victim of Nazi Germany. So many Polish people were killed by them and tortured, so that ancestors of those Poles are alive and have to read those bollocks uttered by Geddy Lee! I'm waiting for some legitimate apologies for failing to keep the promise to perform in Poland, Geddy. Neil Peart passed away on 1/7/2020. I don't have much to say that hasn't already been said about his influence. I'm shocked and saddened, but one of the greatest lines he wrote is found in the song "Headlong Flight": "I wouldn't trade tomorrow for today." I can't explain why, but it seems oddly appropriate. My condolences to Mr. Peart's family, band members and everyone else out there who were influenced/touched by his greatness. He meant so much to so many, transcending his drum work. The photo I'm (re)posting was shot on my phone during the @rush R40 concert in Phoenix in 2015. It's not a great photo, but it's from a memorable night when three gents from Canada played their hearts out for thousands of fans. That concert, if I'm not mistaken, was their third to last. I've been fortunate enough to see Rush perform six times (2004, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2015) I am grateful for his lyrics and for the band's music, which got me through so many tough times in my life that I've lost count. My mother used to play Moving Pictures on cassette in the car when I was young. I didn't appreciate Rush's music until years later, as a surly high schooler in suburban Phoenix listening to "Subdivisions" on @933kdkb (back when they played classic rock) while driving the same car in which my mother played #movingpictures all those years ago. Listening to "Subdivisions" way back in 2001 was the first time, I "got it." This band opened up an entirely new perspective toward life that I hadn't realized was possible and offered me a new way to view a world I didn't always understand. As I've grown older, Mr. Peart's humanistic lyrics were a guiding force for how to better learn not only about myself, but the people and world around me. The first Rush album I ever purchased (probably to Mr. Peart's chagrin) was Chronicles, a greatest hits compilation. Over time, I accumulated all of their studio and live albums on CD (I'm a child of the 1980s). Thank you for everything, Mr. Peart. "Tai Shan" é uma montanha localizada no centro da província de Xantum na China.

É considerada a montanha mais sagrada do país e por muito tempo foi um lugar de peregrinação imperial.

Neste pico há templos e obras de arte em harmonia perfeita com a natureza.

Esta montanha simboliza a renovação e faz parte do Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO.

"Tai Shan" é também uma bela balada do disco "Hold Your Fire" (1987) do Rush.

Nesta balada há a inclusão de instrumentos percussivos e de sopro que complementam toda a parte instrumental bem entrosada, harmônica e com criativas mudanças de andamento da banda.

A voz de Geddy Lee está bem cativante nesta faixa.

A letra conta a experiência de presenciar o esplendor da natureza no topo da montanha (com as nuvens se abrindo e oferecendo a possibilidade de ver uma deslumbrante paisagem até o oceano).

E também de se ter um insight místico de uma presença secular (que atravessou tempo e distância).

A banda conseguiu a proeza de criar um disco só com excelentes músicas.
