Love old conversions, like this former 1913 bank building in Cragford, Alabama. It has 3bds, 4ba., and is listed for $349K.

They have the porch looking a little messy, but they’ve got some great carved rocking chairs.

I must say that the living room is cozy- look at the brick wall. 

Very nicely done- they used metal panels to form rooms. Gives it a nice industrial vibe. However, I don’t know what possessed them to put a bed in the kitchen.

Love that the kitchen looks like a workshop. Interesting- they used industrial furniture. 

This is cute- two glass doors make a separating wall.

I had a dream last night that those sort of customizable robots from Westworld became widely accessible to the public so of course people started creating their favorite fictional characters to marry and what have you. And because the world just became so flooded with different iterations of the same fictional characters, the government started requiring people to register them with exactly what traits (either physical or personality) they changed from their “canon” versions. This, of course, led to insane tumblr discourse about if it was ethical to change them at all, and if you changed them heavily were you even a fan of them to begin with? And should the single checkbox for “personality change” be expanded or would that just open up a new can of worms for the minutia of interpretation of canon? People were leaking the registration documents for other people’s robots to weed out fake fans.

Some weird desire to look at my childhood home came over me a few minutes ago..... It is so embarrassing, how badly my mom and stepdad fucked that house up lol. A few years ago after they moved out I remember looking at the real estate listings and photos and seeing how it was labeled "a REAL fixer upper opportunity!" on all the real estate websites. And they were right, my parents made the absolute ugliest renovations to that house and it's objectively a cute house. The photos since the house got bought, flipped, and sold again are actually so cute. That house deserved better than my parents and their "redneck renovations" and "jimmy riggins" tbh.

It's honestly so funny though because like, my white trash ass mother got ONE chance at homeownership in her broke ass life, and what did she do? She painted the kitchen john deere green. With BRIGHT yellow accents. And this GOD AWFUL border on the kitchen walls:

Trying to keep myself busy and get out of the house more by bookmarking historical sites around my town to visit but the government tourism websites map is almost always wrong so I have to cross check locations across different sites and google maps to find them.

on the cat post: barn cat thoughts?

i understand the rationale and practical applications, and i grind my teeth about it less if they're at least spayed/neutered and given proper, regular vet care, but if that cat is just allowed/able to wander freely it's gonna have a shitty and likely very short life, on top of the negative impact it will have on the local environment beyond the barn's pest control issue.

i'm in no way an expert, but it's hard to imagine there's not some alternative that, while it may not seem cheaper, doesn't cost a life.
