A scenerio in which Alma had realized what her grief Has made to her family way earlier on.

But she's completly lost and still doesn't want to seem weak in front if the village. So in that Lindsey that EVERYONE will be better of without her... she flees Encanto...

Imagine the chaos...

STOPPPP THAT’S SO SAD 😞

Poor Alma <\\3333 She just dips. Which is quite possible the worse case scenario. The again this may warrant a road trip to go FIND Alma because. She might’ve taken it a bit far the perfectionism but she don’t gotta leave because of it 😭 homegirl just needed to open and talk. She doesn’t tell anyone either, not a soul. She might leave a letter, maybe, but outside of that? Nothing. No one sees her leave, but the family immediately realizes she’s gone, it doesn’t take them long. They stall the town, but they eventually figure it out 🥸

Anyway she probably ends up in a house on the edge of some random town in the middle of nowhere. She doesn’t wanna draw too much attention in fear of hurting someone else. She’s a little paranoid not. La Bruja, ‘that old lady who lives on the edge of town that doesn’t talk to anyone’.

I think it would take place before Camilo and Mirabel’s ceremony. Like right before Camilo’s. Maybe like a 6ear before? And then eventually one of the two, probably Mirabel is like “why don’t we just go get Abuela?”. And the younger ones are like “yeah, she left the Encanto, so if she can leave, why can’t we leave to go find her?” And the older members are wow. Why didn’t we think of that? That’s a great idea.

Yeah some road-trip. It’s WILD ASF. They’re all excited to leave the Encanto (leaving the village to fend for themselves. Because. Why not). Casita is there to protect the candle so no one can take it so they’re good to go. It’s absolute chaos though, all the little kids are screaming and running around out of sheer excitement, Agustín is trying not to die from literally everything, Felíx can’t read a map to save his life and Bruno is just chasing after the kids. Julieta is tying to make sure everyone is ok and Pepa is about to start a hurricane because she can’t find Dolores, Luisa or Mirabel, all of who are playing hide and seek with Isabela and Camilo 🤥

At one point Agustín gets his hands on a bus (how NO ONE KNOWS) and everyone gets in but he’s a terrible driver so they’re swerving left and right. Thing is no one can TELL he’s a bad driver because. None of them even know what a bus really is so. (though at this time buses are a new concept to Colombia as a whole, so they sort of get a pass). Anyway, they just think it’s normal 💀💀 and at first he was driving like an old person. But then the kids kept begging him to go faster and he caved and finally went at a more reasonable speed.

Don’t even get me started on Felíx when it was his turn at the wheel. That man is a speed demon, he doesn’t know what this is strange machine is, but it moves, and this pedal makes it go faster. Let me stomp on it.

Runaway Dolores AU

An AU where Dolores leaves the Madrigal family.

Dolores would never admit it out loud, but she didn’t feel she fit in with her family…

Her parents seemed so social and extroverted, Camilo was graceful and could make the most grumpy person smile, Isabela was beloved by everyone, and Abuela constantly said that everyone should be grateful for their gifts…

Well, Dolores viewed her “gift” more as a curse…

She always clashed with her mother. Pepa was very loud and didn’t often think about her daughter. So Dolores just kept her distance from both her parents. Her father always followed her mother around anyways…

And the rest of the family wasn’t that different. Well, except Tío Bruno, but he had gone into the walls. And she and Mirabel weren’t that close…

Dolores often wished she could just get out of the Encanto and go somewhere else…

But when she was 19, she finally made that decision when Alma and Pepa scolded her on how she should be grateful for having a wonderful gift, and that she should be lucky to not be as useless like Mirabel. Pepa even thundered out of annoyance.

It was than that her decision was made. Dolores was gonna go her own path.

That night, she packed as much clothing as she could, as well as steal some food from her Tía, and left Casita to try and find a way out of the Encanto.

And surprisingly, Dolores did. She found a crack in the mountains, and was able to fit through it and made her way out.

And eventually, she saw a city. Some place strange to her, but one where she’d start a new life…

More Power!Mirabel aus and one where she doesn't:

Everything and nothing: Mirabel still doesn't get a gift, but Felix and Agustine teach her that being normal isn't so bad. She even makes some money by mending and creating clothes for the residents of Encanto, Alma still ignores her and Isabela still thinks she's better than Mirabel even if Mirabel is praised by the villagers for her USEFUL gift as Isabela's is pushed aside for the problems her flowers and vines via their roots can cause. Alma still praises Isabela over Mirabel, constantly dragging the girl down, ignoring the roots of the problem. But the sisters both discover the cracks when Isabela and Luisa follow Mirabel, who leaves the party for some air. Isabela, thinking Mirabel just wants attention, strikes her with a thorny vine and runs off when more cracks appear. She later denies the cracks, and striking Mirabel, when Luisa tries to come to her younger sister's defense. This leads to a divide in the family, when Mirabel's scars don't heal and her eye is blinded. Alma, Julietta, Pepa, Felix and Isabela -even when she knows better- think it was just a sibling spat. Everyone else thinks the opposite, leading to tension with Agustine in his marriage to Julieta and barely there relationship with Alma as well as strong sense of brotherhood with Felix. This all comes to a head when Mirabel wants to fix the miracle and comes to Luisa and Dolores for help, Agustine, Camilo and Antonio want to help too. But the road to the truth is now, given rising tension and something - be it the miracle or Julieta and Agustine's marriage - is going to break the camel's back.

Runaway Miracle: Mirabel runs away from home during Antonio's gift ceremony, as all the animals are flocking to Casita Madrigal. She becomes a hunter, a trapper, living out on the border of the Encanto

Cocoons: Mirabel is given the gift of seeing the past, opposite to Bruno's future sight. It's really strange, because it also leads to her knowing things she shouldn't much like Dolores

Sky's the limit: Mirabel can fly. That's all. Her power is flight.

Mind over matters: Mirabel can move things with her mind, making her somewhat unpredictable

Talk to Death: Mirabel, who doesn't have magic, can talk to the spirit of Pedro (and him alone) after getting cut by Casita's tiles, leading to an infection that isn't healing. So, Mirabel has to find a cure to the magic while seeing the ghost of her grandfather and dealing with her family thinking she's lost her mind.

Not a suggestion just building of my earlier idea of the music gift ( sorry for kind of doing this a lot) I feel like there would be a lot more singing in this au. Granted that’s kinda a given, but what songs do you think she would sing in different parts? Like if she where to run away or her fight with alma?

Not just singing, but just music too.

She would sing a PART of a song like you said, but not the whole song. You're Alma and one moment you are verbally fighting your nieta and a second later you hear god damn DOOM Music and your nieta full-on holding herself trying to not rip and tear through your soul.

If she ran away, I'm thinking that she'd sing songs related or similar to running away, like Runaway from AURORA, Two Birds On A Wire, etc etc.

If it's the arguing part, I think it's going to be Brutal by Olivia Rodrigo.

The part is "All I did is try my best, this is the kind of thanks I get? Unrelentlesly upset. They say that these are the golden years but I wish I could disappear ego crush is so severe" and then she'd look at Alma with the most rageful face and sing "GOD! It's brutal out here" lmao

“Son and Daughter of Business Magnates engaged to be married: Son of chairman of Kim Industries and current COO: Kim Doyoung and the daughter of the current chairman of Lee Tradings Corp was announced to be engaged and soon to be married.”

Those were the words flashing on the screen of Doyoung’s phone, he wasn’t told the announcement was going to be made today. He already knows Y/N wasn’t made aware either.

It was only the start of his day but he already wanted it to be done, it seems like even his personal life is being dictated by other people. He can’t even make this choice himself. 

As he made his way to his office, some of his colleagues were quick to tell congratulations on the engagement. He offered them a polite smile and a quick thank you. When he got his office, he crashed on his chair with his fingers massaging his temple. 

He can’t help but feel stressed and overwhelmed about everything that’s going on. Yes, he’s been engaged to Y/N for two years now, But with the news revealed to the rest of the world, it’s finally hitting him. 

This is his reality now. 

Doyoung doesn’t have it in him to be mad at Y/N. It’s not her fault that they’re now in this situation. He did mean his words when he told Y/N it wouldn’t be too bad to spend the rest of his life with his bestfriend. 

Bestfriend.

He admits he has not been a good friend to her since they were told about the engagement. He just felt robbed of the chance to have a normal shot at falling in love. Even that was decided for him. 

He also felt sorry towards Y/N, it’s not like he’s the only one who was robbed of that chance. She was too. And here she was trying her best to be the best for him. 

With these thoughts floating around his mind, he did what he does best when he’s stressed: burying his self with work. It’s his coping mechanism. Finding other things to focus on instead of driving his self mad with constant worry. 

That’s how the day passed, Doyoung went through one report after another. He didn’t even notice lunch time was done if his phone didn’t ring. 

Incoming call: Kim Sejeong

That was the name currently flashing on the screen of his phone. Taking a deep breath, he took the phone up to his ear

“Hello?”

“Doyoung-ssi? Are you busy right now?” Sejeong’s voice ever so gentle

“I’m still at the office, why? Do you need something?” he asked

“I just heard the news, I didn’t know you guys were going through with it” she almost sounded disappointed. Probably with me, Doyoung thought.

“You knew we were already engaged, Sejeong-ah. Is this what you wanted to talk about?” this time Doyoung stood up and walked towards the window, gazing out into the city below him

“I just thought I’d atleast hear it from you first”

“Sejeong-”

“I know, Doyoung-ssi. I know and it’s okay. I just wanted to hear your voice. Take care” with that she ended the call. It was the last straw for this very long day. 

Doyoung quickly told his secretary he’s going home early but he didn’t drive to that direction. Instead he went to someone he knew could take all of his worries away. No one can do that except for this one person. 

He haven’t been back to his old alma mater since he graduated. It was good to go back and visit after a while, he still remembers the hallways and rooms he used to take his classes. 

It was a Monday, he knew Y/N had a few classes for the day. He decided to have a look around before giving her a call. 

It didn’t take long, he was just about to take a turn when he heard someone calling out his name

“Doyoung? What are you doing here?”

He turned around to face Y/N, already feeling more at ease. He probably didn’t look like it though since he can see the worry in Y/N’s eyes. She didn’t have to say it but he can read her like a book,

“Came here to get you, Your class wasn’t finished yet so I decided to have a look around. Nothing much has changed here” He said while looking around the hallway.

“You just graduated last year” she told him with a small smile. The pair made their way to Doyoung’s car, a few looks being thrown their way.

“My guess is you already heard the news” she told him, he can see her fiddle with the ring on her finger. The ring that’s about to seal their future together. 

“First thing that welcomed me when I got to the office, where were you?” he asked

“Joy literally ran to me screaming about it” she answered with a chuckle

 “Did they tell you they were going to make an announcement?” 

Doyoung just shook his head, he was right when he thought that Y/N wasn’t made aware of the announcement either. 

“Where are we going anyways?” Y/N asked him, looking over at him with wonder mixed with worry in her eyes

“Just somewhere, are you hungry?” he asked, his eyes focused on the road. 

“We can grab dinner, if you want” she suggested to which Doyoung agreed to. 

The rest of the ride they were both silent, he felt more at ease. But he can feel Y/N’s stare at him, she probably wanted to ask so many questions. 

When they got to the ramen place, they took a seat then ordered

“So what’s this little surprise trip for?” Y/N asked Doyoung. For a while he just stared at the menu, genuinely thinking of an answer.

“Just wanted to get out of the city for awhile”

“You okay? Something bothering you?”

“More like what isn’t bothering me nowadays” he mumbled, he didn’t mean to sound grumpy but it was the truth

“If it’s work related, try and not to think about it after you’ve left the office” Y/N said, he looked up at me with one brow raised. She had this determined look on her face, one she always has when she’s nagging him or telling him off.

“There should be a good work and life balance, just like how you try not to bring your issues at home to the office then shouldn’t be the same way around?”

“I can’t just stop worrying about it” he answered, now the thoughts were back on the front side of his brain. A frown making  it’s way on his face

“Well try atleast when you’re back at your place, if you don’t then you’re just stressing yourself more. Wouldn’t be better for you and more effective if you can get some rest at home” she reasoned out

“I’m relaxing right now”

“You don’t look one bit relaxed, Doie. Don’t try and pretend when you’re with me, it’s not going to work” He haven’t heard her call him by that nickname in a while. It was cute, she used to call him that alot when they were kids. Tugging on the ends of his shirt with her little hands and looking up at him with her doe eyes.

Y/N leaned across the table, running her thumb on the space between his brows as if to wipe the frown away. 

“You’re going to get wrinkles if you keep frowning like that” she says, now he’s just staring straight at her

“You haven’t called me that in a while” Doyoung told the girl with a smile on his face

“Huh?”

“Doie” this time he looked up at his fiance, she suddenly looked flustered and couldn’t make eye contact.

“You used to call me that a lot when we were kids” he held her hands in his, finding comfort in the way their hands fit together. The ring on full display, a constant reminder of their current status.

“I still call you that, it’s still your name on my phone” Y/N answered, 

“Why are you looking at me like that?” 

“I’m trying to decide whether we should really just runaway” he told her, she looked surprised with his answer

“Don’t be ridiculous. Where would we go anyways? My backyard? I don’t have a backyard anymore” this statement made him laugh out loud. Knowing exactly what she’s talking about.

“This time we won’t have to go home, we can stay out as long as we want, go wherever we want” Doyoung answered

“We should decided on a date, for the wedding I mean. If we don’t, our parents might decide for us like they did today” he added, their parents would probably decided on the date if they don’t do it now

“Can it be some time around fall?”Y/N asked

“If you want. Sounds good and I know you hate hot weather” he agreed, the girl shooting him a smile

“That wasn’t so hard, should we plan the whole thing?” 

“I’ll have to see my schedule, see if I could squeeze you in” he jokingly answered

“Yah, this is your wedding too. Make time for your future wife”

“I’ll give you an hour to present, how about that?” he liked they can have these kinds of conversation. It did put Doyoung’s more at ease. When he’s with Y/N, it feels like he could breath a bit better.

“An hour and another dinner date, how about that?” 

He didn’t get an immediate answer, Y/N looking down at the food on the table

“Is this how it’s going be? you bargaining with me? You know you always do that” she mumbles, probably referring to all the times he bargained his lunch for hers when they were kids. But he only did that because he knew she didn’t like her food, he would catch her looking over at his lunch box with a small pout on her cute face. 

He didn’t want to seem like he cared that much, they were kids and he thought he would be made fun of if other people knew about his true feelings. So instead he bargained his lunch with hers. 

“You always say yes to me, so it’s not really my fault” he said with a smile, one that only shows up when it’s her he’s talking to. 

If it was up to the two of them, he still would have asked Y/N to be a part of his life. Maybe a marriage somewhere along the way. She’s the one constant thing in Doyoung’s life that didn’t drain him, the only person that does not ask anything from him and make his decisions for him. 

What Y/N didn’t know is that Doyoung was made aware about her true feelings towards him. For now that’s a secret only him, Joy and Y/N. It’s just that the girl sitting across him doesn’t remember it.

Mirabel looked to the family down below. She looked to antonio and smiled, she swung down and pulled him up. Instead of screaming he stared amazed as his older cousin flipped through the air and landed on the platform with him being held in the air. "AGAIN! AGAIN!" He cheered. Mirabel chuckled and grabbed the bar. She swung and let go, the family was about to yelled when her teammates threw a net and caught them. "We'll leave for a bit" Sam said putting a hand on mirabels shoulder. "No you all need more practice, we can talk in the back" she said and led the family off. She was obviously tense, when they stopped she faced them. "What do you need?" Mirabel asked pretending not to know them and was failing. "W what happened!? Why did you go?" Pepa asked containing the cloud. Mirabel bit her cheek then licked her dry lips. "Whats happened in town" she asked changing the subject. "Good, but we all miss you" julieta said making the teenager infront of them scoff "no one missed me, I was on the outskirts for three days before leaving" she said making their faces go pale" w we didn't check there" agustín muttered. "Your my prima!" Antonio smiled "I know, I was there when you were born" she said and he stared shocked and his hair was even messier if possible. "Wanna come over for dinner?" Alma asked and she stared shock and worry spread across her face." Umm w were busy that night" she sajd" we didn't say when" isabella said as mirabel cursed herself mentally. "Please, one night that's all we wanna catch up" dolores said pleadingly. Antonio tapped mirabels hand, she looked and he used the puppy dog eyes. Camilo shifted to antonio and copied. Mirabel sighed"friday ok?" They smiled and agreed. "Well I'm gonna go, I'd say go before it gets late" mirabel suggested as julieta held herself back from hugging her. They left as mirabel went towards a wagon. She climbed in and got an apple. She took a bite before climbing onto the hammock and falling asleep.

Honestly, in the Runaway Bruno au, the only way I could see him coming back if they still were to give him that moment of confronting Abuela and/or trying to take the blame from Mirabel, is the same reason he left: Mirabel, his giftless niece who's been emotionally abused and neglected since, and even then past the end of the movie, I can't see him being more than that uncle who you either visit or who visits you since promises to change or no, I wouldn't put myself back in that situation either

Bruno probably wouldn’t come back to the Encanto at all…

He just wanted to live his life with the only family who were actually there for him, despite missing the good times with his mother and sisters…

He knew he didn’t deserve being treated like a curse, and neither does Mirabel. That’s why he wanted her to stay with him and his two boys…

Unless Alma somehow found out where Bruno lived and actually traveled there, he probably wouldn’t confront her.

He just wanted to move on, and focus on the good things in his life…
