When You Kiss Me: Lower Moons

A continuation of the last post. That's literally it.

ENMU:

-This. Man. Is. READY. As soon as you even mentioned the idea to him he's puckering up and leaning to kiss you already. Literally had heart eyes as you hold his face and kiss him all over especially the markings on his face. Giggling like a love struck fool. He admired himself in the mirror forever and doesn't wash off the markings for at least a week.

HAIROU:

-He honestly doesn't get it. "If you want to kiss me just kiss me." He doesn't get why you want to kiss him just to leave kiss marks all over him. What was the point? Not against the idea, just really doesn't see the whole point. But he let's you if you continue asking. He loves it when you kiss him anyways.

-When you instructed him to look in a mirror next he freezes seeing all the red kiss marks standing out on his grey face. His brain is buffering as he tries to comprehend this. Has mixed feelings on it. Mostly flustered by the affection.

UBUME:

-Much like Nakime she'll allow you to just to indulge you in your games. Her face is also mostly covered anyways so it's highly unlikely anyone besides you two will know about it. She will pay your head and kiss you back after she washes it off however.

KYOGAI:

-When you first bring up the idea to him, he blue screens for a little bit before blushing like crazy. This is just like a romantic scene he's read but he never thought that he'd actually live it. Agreed with a stutter to his face and his face is redder than his eyes the entire time as you hold his face and leave kiss marks on him.

-Absolute sweetheart about it stuttering and flustered by it that he covers his face with his hands when you're done with him. Can't bring himself to look at a mirror less he did of embarrassment. Also...may or may not have been inspired to write a new romance novel.

YAHABA:

-"NO!! ABSOLUTELY NOT!! BE GLAD I AGREE TO LET YOU HUG ME AT ALL!!" Massive germophobe he is shuts it down right on the spot. No matter how much you beg, he ALWAYS says no. Eventually you both reach a compromise. He'd let you leave kiss marks on his hands and he'd be able to wash it off so much easier.

-He's absolutely complaining the entire time you kiss his hands and the eyelids over his eye hands. Even if his face is a light pink. He's IMMEDIATELY washing his hands after barely looking at them saying you'll never do that. Real jerk about it.

SUSAMARU:

-"That sounds boring." She's not very on board with it. She'll let you do it but she'll be bored the entire time you kiss her face. Still bored with it when she looks at herself in a mirror. Might crack a few jokes about it but that's about it.

RUI:

-(He's written as PLATONIC. Don't be weird!) He probably demands affection from you after he sees you showing affection to the other moons. He demands and probably wouldn't leave you alone until you gave him a kiss on the forehead.

KAMANUE/MUKAGO/WAKURABA/ROKURO:

-Kamanue and Mukago would both be extremely flustered while Rokuro and Wakuraba wouldn't let you do it at all.

How do you think the moons spice tolerance would be like

I have long been influenced by a Japanese fan comic about the Upper Moons' respective intolerance to human food, introduced as a sort of hazing party for Kaigaku who is a bit shocked by it. I don’t remember all the details but Gyutaro and Ume make a talented team making it appear that she consumes human food while he safely gets rid of it, and Kokushibo has the weakest tolerance of all of them and can't even stand it for one second. That's been my headcanon ever since.

So when it comes to spicy food, I'm still influenced by that. Let's assume this is a human!AU.

Kamanue: likes more spice than most people do, but not a show-off about it

Rui: can't handle spice, doesn't like mint either

Mukago: handles a decent amount but often chooses milder food

Wakuraba: shows off sometimes but regrets it later

Rokuro: insists he'd rather taste his food

Enmu: he will force himself to eat painful things so he can bully others into suffering with him

Kaigaku: slightly low tolerance, and chooses not to suffer

Gyutaro: really loves extremely spicy food, it's like a hobby

Daki: has adopted the same hobby, but she hates to show when something is too much for her

Gyokko: he makes art out of it instead of eating it (how crafty)

Hantengu: hates it so much, and whines about it

Akaza: likes a show-offy level of spice

Douma: casually handles way more spice than Akaza (about the same tolerance level as Daki, but not as strong as Gyutaro)

Kokushibo: he cannot

also since most lower moons have absolutely no lore i decided to take kamanue (lower 6), mukago (lower 4), wakuraba (lower 3) and rokuro (lower 2) in my own hands and give them personalities

this led to me starting to ship rokuraba (or flowerpot is also a ship name i just made up on the spot that i like teehee,, flower for wakuraba (one of the kanji in her name means leaf) and pot for rokuro (his name means potter's wheel) :333)

also!!!! yea i made wakuraba transfem for shits and giggles, kamanue is non binary too, they dont have shit going on in canon so idc im ocfying them

more on kamanue: since the "nue" in their name is an actual creature of japanese folklore, i decided to make their bda just them shapeshifting into a nue (a nue is a chimera made of a monkey's head, which in this case is replaced by a human head instead, a tanuki body, tiger legs and a snake tail)

I originally kinda just made her for funsies when me and my friend said "We should make Rui a friend! :O" and with some previous ideas in my brain I made Nanako- or Nana, that's what I call her :3

so yeah, they're friends-

Nanako has the ability to shapeshift into other people, even mimic their voices. She managed to gain access into the Infinity Castle and gain the role of Lower Rank 2 by. ahem. exterminating Rokuro (sorry to Rokuro enjoyers I just spun a wheel and it chose him ;v;) and transforming into him so she could attend meetings and gain more power. Quite devious for a kid.

I didn't intend for this at first but she vaguely reminds me of Muzan help-

so yeh. they may or may not have met somewhere before. who knows. I don't.

While I haven't delved too far into her past yet, I have an idea that she was from a family of power and was assassinated so that's how she died. maybe.

Although, I'm not too sure who could have given her Muzan's blood, but ya knoooow :D

Flames, Mist and Blood - Blue Butterflies and Opium

Suddenly, spiderwebs descend upon Rokuro, forcefully knocking the pipe from his grasp, sending it to the ground. A startled Rokuro moves to get it, but a thread of spider silk takes it away from his reach, to the expectant palms of Rui. “You’re not going to materialize more opium without this,” he says smugly, before he breaks it. Rokuro growls, and the opium cloud above them darkens. “You think that my powers rely on that measly pipe? Well, think again!” The opium cloud swirls above them, as if it was acting more like a thunder cloud rather than a cloud of ecstasy and debauchery, before moving— towards Yoriichi, specifically. Yoriichi holds tight to the handkerchief around his nose, but he mistakenly leaves his eyes open as the cloud bypasses him. Suddenly, the entire world becomes increasingly vibrant and colorful, along with many wavy lines and shapes dancing in the corners of his eyes. Oh no. He had accidentally ingested opium.

Yoriichi battles what feels like the strongest demons he has ever faced yet. He gets caught in an opium-induced fever dream the first minute in.

MINE: LowerMoons

Yandere Upper Moons if you had a significant other or if they found out you were in love with someone else. No duh that they'd most likely kill them but this is a more in depth dive into it. Rui is written as PLATONIC in this!

Warnings for mentions of cannibalism and death.

ENMU:

-This man here loves to play mind games. He'll slowly but surely torment your lover by giving him nightmares of you having another lover, leaving him, or worse cheating. He'll make doubt grow in his his mind. You have no idea where his sudden suspicions of you cheating came from. Suddenly he was suspicious of every smile you gave, every friendly wave you gave the neighbors, and even chasing off a male friend of yours when you both just hugged good bye.

-Enmu would giggle in sadistic glee as you two argued more and more cuz of his controlling behavior. You were tired of the accusations and suspicions. All because of some stupid DREAMS!! Even when you proved him wrong he STILL didn't believe you. It was when he tried to control you saying you couldn't see ANY of your male friends anymore and weren't allowed to talk to any men but him and your family that you finally broke up with him and booted him from your home. Only then would Enmu give him one last nightmare. He had his fun now and so he'd give your ex lover a final farewell that'd scare him to death.

KYOGAI:

-Hes very sensitive to when it comes to you or his work. So he'll just eat him while you're kept in a separate room in his mansion or if he's lost the ability to eat humans, he'll cut him to pieces with a drum.

HAIRU:

-He prefers not to get his hands dirty however learning someone already has your heart will send him into a tissy. Might even have to blow his head off again just to calm himself down. Once he does, he'll most likely send a pack of his shadow hounds to hunt your poor husband or if he feels real personal, he has a sniper for a reason.

RUI:

-Rui already has a father that's a great husband to you! He doesn't want or need another one and do so you! You're crying in webs as he does end him. Depending on if he has his 'family' do it or he does it himself determines if you're now dead ex is eaten, poisoned, beaten, or all of the above.

UBUME:

-Similar to Nakime you won't tell if she's angry or not and she doesn't believe in wasting time over this nonsense. So she'll quickly end him and move on with your lives together.

YAHABA:

-Now he really doesn't like getting his hands dirty. He'll use those arrows of his and carry your ex lover high enough to where when he drops him there's no chance of survival.

SUSAN ARU:

-Very little patience. So when she sees him it's on whether people are around or not. One good throw or kick from her ball will crush him in an instant. At least it's a quick death.

My issues with the 12 Kizuki

This is based on my experience with the anime alone, but I do feel like the Kizuki fall flat as characters, despite being cool villains. Lemme explain:

Rokuro, Wakuraba, Mukago, and Kamanue are killed without much elaboration on their characters due to Mizuki wanting to abolish the Lower Ranks. It's a bold play and makes Mizuki's character interesting, but it feels like a waste, making the story feel a bit rushed, with dead demons as an explanation for a shorter story.

The Upper Ranks and Enmu come one after another for the arcs. After the Asakusa arc, there's no arc where there's a minor demon (aka not one of the 12 Kizuki) who Tanjiro and Co. face during his training as a demon slayer. Again, it feels rushed and makes the demons--the most powerful there are--come off as easily thwarted. Even if Tanjiro and his friends worked hard to beat them, there's never a circumstance of "this is a MAJOR DEMON and thus too powerful for us"; it's just "oh, we were all barely strong enough"--but that's what makes this crazier; Tanjiro defeated Hantengu's main body and Kyogai himself, teamed up with Inosuke to defeat Enmu and Nezuko to deafeat Rui, Muichiro and defeated Gyokko himself. Daki/Gyutaro were defeated by Tanjiro, Uzui, Inosuke, and Zenitsu, which is the only battle that truly feels earned. Tanjiro (as well as Inosuke, Nezuko and Zenitsu, to an extent) are novices, which makes it kinda frustrating that he was powerful enough to defeat several of the Kizuki, whether by himself of with help from other novices. Having the villains go back to back on the arcs only to be defeated mainly by Tanjiro feels like plot armor rather than good writing. He always overcomes and always manages to beat them, and Muichiro, despite being a Hashira, is still super young and on his own, so I wish his fight against Gyokku's true form lasted longer, if he was even allowed to win.

The story arcs fall flat. Several of the demons have a sad backstory showing their life leading up to becoming a demon. While some are sad, none of them really feel as impactful as they could be, since they're one and done villains, not antagonists that we slowly get intgrated to and understand more as the story goes on. I definitely wanted more from Daki/Gyutaro since they were essentially evil demon versions of Tanjiro and Nezuko. That said, other demons got no backstory at all, ie most of the Lower Rank demons, Enmu, and Gyokku, which made it feel disjointed, almost as though the characters who had backstories were people you were supposed to feel sorry for. But that exposes the flaw; the preferences for certain demons makes them all feel underutilized by rushing through some of their backstories and completely ignoring others'. I wish they were stronger threats, characters you see in several arcs a piece, characters you got to understand more rather than being one-note evil with a short and sad backstory (and don't get me started on how rushed and confusing Hantengu's backstory was, especially since the forms his emotions took was never explained).

Perhaps I'm reading too into this, but this is a frustrating thing for me watching the show. I do hope that the Upper 3 demons do better.
