This is the incredible moment divers captured an extremely rare moment with a giant fish which is believed to predict earthquakes off the coast of Taiwan.

The giant oarfish with shimmering silver scales was spotted floating eerily upright near Ruifang District in Taipei.

It appeared to have several holes in its body which were believed to be bites inflicted while escaping from a shark attack.

The Real-Life Inspiration for Spirited Away

Jiufen is a seaside mountain area in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. It's also spelled Jioufen or Chiufen; if Chinese. Taiwan is officially the Republic of China, a country in East Asia. It's located at the junction of the East and South China Seas in the northwestern Pacific Ocean, with the People's Republic of China (PRC) to the northwest, Japan to the northeast and the Philippines to the south.

The giant oarfish is a large deep sea herring that is seldom seen near the surface. Legend says they predict earthquakes. This one appeared off the coast of New Taipei’s Ruifang District, likely due to injury. We're still waiting on the earthquake.

九份のホテルを予約する時にこのカフェを見つけて、珍しく事前に、ここ行く❕と決めたぐらい窓からのviewが素晴らしい✨

窓側のカウンター席に運良く座れれば景色撮り放題❣️

空いてるといいなぁ...

残念、、、カウンター席は空いてなかったぁ...

奥のテーブル席に案内されたんだけども、店員さんが、他の席が空いたら移動してもらえますか？と言ってきた。

人気のあるカフェだから、4人席のところから2人席のところに移動させられるんだろうなと

思いきや、め��ゃめちゃめちゃめちゃラッキー❕カウンター席に移動させられました😳���✨

カウンター席に座れた人だけが味わえるこの素晴らしいview。

少しでも長く座っていたくて、変な時間だったけどランチ兼ディナー的ご飯もオーダー♪

ここから下を眺めてると、日本人がめちゃめちゃ多いことに気がつく。GWの海外旅行行き先２位を実感しましたw

私オーダーの品。エビと卵のあんかけ的なもの。

これぞまさに異国の味付け、不思議な味で面白い❕こういうものを食べるのも旅行の楽しみ、日本では食べられない味に出会えるとテンション上がってしまう🥳

夫さんは牛と大根の煮込み料理。ちゃんと中華系の香辛料の味、八角の香りが懐かしい。

スープはやっぱり味うすうすw 中国もスープが美味しいことは稀でお湯に近いから、台湾もそんな予感してました😆

台湾に来たと感じさせてくれる、大満足のご飯でした❤︎
