This 1970 Pontiac GTO convertible was first delivered to the A.C. Morris Garage of Summersville, West Virginia, and during prior ownership it underwent a body-off rotisserie refurbishment that was completed in 2006. The car is claimed to be one of just 241 examples that were ordered with 455ci V8 and an optional automatic transmission for the model year, and it is finished in Burgundy over red vinyl upholstery. Other equipment includes a four-barrel carburetor, a Ram Air hood, a power-operated convertible top, power steering, front disc brakes, and a 12-bolt rear end housing a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2013 out of Arizona, this GTO convertible is offered in Missouri with refurbishment photos, manufacturer’s literature, build sheets, a reproduction window sticker, documentation from Pontiac Historical Services, correspondence with the GM Heritage center, and a clean Missouri title.
Tumblr media
The car was finished from the factory in Burgundy, and the body was stripped, mounted to a rotisserie jig, and repainted during the refurbishment, at which time a replacement convertible top was installed. Features include a color-matched Endura front bumper, a chrome rear bumper, a Ram Air hood, and quad exhaust outlets with polished finishers.
Tumblr media
Rally II 14″ wheels are mounted with 215/70 Firestone Wide-Oval tires. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and the car was optioned with power steering when new.
Tumblr media
The cabin has been retrimmed with red vinyl upholstery (2254) as well as color-coordinated carpets and interior trim. Equipment includes front bucket seats and a rear bench, a woodgrain steering wheel, an AM/FM radio, and an 8-track player. A pre-delivery-style instruction tag is attached to the steering column, and Pontiac-branded rubber floor mats line the front and rear footwells.
Tumblr media
The turned metal and woodtone trim-accented cluster houses Rally instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows under 96k miles, approximately 50 of which have been driven by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
Tumblr media
The optional 455ci V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and a Ram Air hood, and it produced a factory-rated 360 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine stamping shown within the gallery ends in 0P121234, which matches the final eight digits of the car’s serial number. Additional identification numbers are presented in the gallery.
Tumblr media
Power is sent to the rear wheels through an optional Turbo Hydramatic 400 three-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear end housing a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential. Additional photos are provided in the gallery to illustrate the underside, drivetrain, and suspension components.
Tumblr media
Photos showing various stages of the refurbishment are depicted above.
Tumblr media
Additional items accompanying the car include manufacturer’s literature, build sheets, a reproduction window sticker, documentation from Pontiac Historical Services, and 2012 correspondence with the GM Heritage center confirming the car’s specifications and equipment, photos of which are provided in the gallery.

The Top 10 Strangest Items Found During Rubbish Removal in Perth
Perth has encountered its fair share of oddities discarded across the city. Whether unearthed during local rubbish removal efforts or municipal waste management operations, these peculiar discoveries highlight the community's vital role in keeping our environment clean. Here are ten of the most unusual items removed as rubbish in Perth, each with its own intriguing backstory.
Tumblr media
1. Vintage Bathtub Unearthed at a Beach Cleanup
During a coastal cleanup organized by Keep Australia Beautiful WA, volunteers were astonished to find a full-sized, claw-footed antique bathtub abandoned near the shoreline. Partially buried in sand and likely decades old, the tub required considerable effort from several volunteers to excavate and transport. The discovery raised questions about how such a heavy item ended up on the beach—was it discarded after a home renovation or part of an unfinished art project? Regardless, it underscored the dedication of volunteers committed to keeping our beaches pristine.
2. Life-Sized Teddy Bear Found in the Bush
In the outskirts of Perth, community volunteers stumbled upon a human-sized teddy bear hidden among leaves and branches in the bushland. Weathered and faded from exposure, the oversized toy was difficult to remove due to its bulk. The volunteers speculated about its origin—perhaps it was left behind after an event or discarded as a prank. The find became a talking point among the team and highlighted the need for responsible disposal of large items, which can negatively impact local wildlife.
3. Remnants of an Illegal Meth Lab
One of the more hazardous discoveries during cleanup operations involved equipment from an illegal methamphetamine lab. Found in an isolated bushland area, the stash included glass beakers, rubber tubing, and chemical-covered barrels. Recognizing the danger, volunteers promptly reported the items to authorities for safe removal. This incident emphasizes the importance of caution during community cleanups, as discarded drug paraphernalia poses risks to both humans and the environment.
4. Assorted Car Parts Scattered Across an Area
While litter pickups typically involve smaller items, one event took an unexpected turn when volunteers found numerous discarded car parts. Doors, tires, bumpers, and even a steering wheel were spread over a large area, resembling a scene from a post-apocalyptic film. It's believed these parts came from illegal car dismantling operations where stolen vehicles are stripped, and unwanted components are dumped. Such illegal dumping harms the environment and poses risks to residents and wildlife.
5. An Abandoned Fortune-Telling Booth
Volunteers were puzzled to find an entire fortune-telling booth left in an open field. Complete with a glass front and original props like faded tarot cards and a dusty crystal ball, the booth appeared in relatively good condition. The mysterious find raised questions about its past—perhaps it was left behind after a fair or festival. While intriguing, discarding such a large structure irresponsibly adds strain to waste removal services.
6. Deflated Inflatable Bouncy Castle Near the Swan River
One of the largest items found was a deflated bouncy castle abandoned near the Swan River. Even when deflated, it measured several meters across and required heavy-duty equipment for removal. Likely left after a party or event, the improper disposal of such large inflatables poses environmental risks, including harm to plant life and obstruction of waterways. This incident highlights the need for stricter guidelines on disposing of event equipment.
7. Vintage Arcade Machines Discarded as Waste
In an industrial area outside Perth, volunteers came across several old arcade machines. Though largely broken with shattered screens and exposed wiring, the machines still contained electronic components that could release harmful chemicals into the soil if not properly disposed of. While some volunteers reminisced about playing similar games in their youth, there was concern over the environmental impact of improperly discarded electronic waste, which requires specialist handling.
8. A Collection of Mannequins in the Bushland
Deep within the bushland, a group of volunteers found a bizarre collection of mannequins. Some were dressed in torn clothing, others missing limbs, creating an eerie atmosphere. Likely abandoned after an art project or as a prank, these items not only contribute to litter but can also disturb wildlife, who may perceive them as threats or obstacles.
9. Cement-Filled Toilet Bowl
One of the most perplexing finds was a toilet bowl filled with hardened cement, dumped at the edge of a recreational area. Presumably discarded during a renovation, the cement-filled fixture was extremely heavy and required multiple people to move. This incident highlights the lengths some will go to avoid proper disposal procedures, burdening community resources tasked with cleanup efforts.
10. Unopened Boxes of Expired Medical Supplies
During a cleanup near a remote area, volunteers uncovered several unopened boxes of expired medical supplies, including syringes, bandages, and antiseptic wipes. This posed a serious health risk, as medical waste requires specific handling to prevent contamination and injury. Specialists were called in for safe disposal, serving as a stark reminder of the potential dangers faced by volunteers and the need for better regulation around medical waste disposal.
The Importance of Responsible Waste Disposal
These unusual and often hazardous finds highlight the critical role of responsible rubbish removal in Perth and community involvement in keeping the environment clean. From abandoned bathtubs to discarded drug equipment, the variety of rubbish serves as a reminder of the environmental impact of irresponsible behavior. Professional rubbish removal services play a crucial role in mitigating this impact, but ultimately, reducing such incidents relies on individuals making responsible choices about how they dispose of their waste.

Car Bumper Protectors Car Exterior Accessories are Shields for Your Vehicle
Car bumper protectors, often overlooked as mere aesthetic additions, play a crucial role in safeguarding your vehicle from the inevitable bumps and scrapes of daily life. These car exterior accessories offer a range of functions that extend beyond their protective capabilities.
Protection from Minor Impacts
The primary function of a car bumper protector is to shield your bumper from damage caused by low-speed collisions, parking mishaps, and accidental contact with objects like shopping carts or garage doors. Made from durable materials such as rubber, plastic, or stainless steel, these car exterior accessories absorb the impact, preventing costly repairs to the bumper's surface.
Preserving Resale Value
A pristine exterior significantly influences a car's resale value. Bumper protectors help maintain your car's appearance by preventing unsightly scratches and dents. A vehicle with a clean, damage-free exterior is more appealing to potential buyers, allowing you to command a higher price when it's time to sell.
Scratch Prevention: Car bumpers are susceptible to scratches from loading and unloading items, accidental contact with other vehicles, or even harsh weather conditions. A bumper protector acts as a barrier, preserving your car's pristine finish and maintaining its resale value.
Load Protection: When loading heavy items into your car, the bumper is often the first point of contact. A bumper protector prevents scratches and dents caused by items sliding or bumping against the bumper.
Additional Functionality
Depending on the type of bumper protector, it may offer additional functionalities. For instance, some protectors by Carzex come with built-in license plate holders or integrated reflectors, providing added convenience and safety.
Protection Against Weather Elements
Bumper protectors can also help protect your car's bumper from the damaging effects of weather. They can shield the bumper from scratches caused by rocks, gravel, and debris kicked up by other vehicles. Additionally, they can help prevent rust and corrosion by acting as a barrier between the bumper and the elements.
Easy Installation and Maintenance
Most car bumper protectors are designed for easy installation, requiring no special tools or expertise. They can be easily removed and replaced when necessary. Regular cleaning with mild soap and water is usually sufficient to maintain their appearance and functionality.
Enhanced Aesthetics
Beyond protection, car bumper protectors by Carzex can enhance your vehicle's appearance. They come in various styles, colors, and finishes, allowing you to personalize your car's look. Some protectors feature chrome accents or stylish designs that can complement your vehicle's overall aesthetic.
Types of Bumper Protectors:
Rubber or Plastic Covers: These are the most common type, offering excellent protection against scratches and minor impacts.
Stainless Steel or Chrome Strips: These add a touch of luxury and durability, while also providing protection.
Protective Films: These transparent films create an invisible shield, protecting your bumper without altering its appearance.
In conclusion, while car bumper protectors as car exterior accessories may seem like a small investment, they offer significant benefits in terms of protection, aesthetics, and resale value. By investing in a quality bumper protector, you can safeguard your car from the wear and tear of everyday life while enhancing its overall appearance. HOW DIFFERENT TYPES OF DIRT AND GRIME AFFECT YOUR VEHICLE’S EXTERIOR
Tumblr media
Maintaining the exterior of a vehicle is essential to protecting its aesthetics and its long-term durability. The different kinds of dirt and grime that accumulate on a vehicle’s exterior can have a substantial impact on the appearance and condition of the vehicle. The accumulation of dirt and grime on a vehicle’s exterior isn’t just a cosmetic concern; it can potentially damage the paintwork and overall appearance. Understanding the diverse range of contaminants that impact a vehicle’s surface is crucial. Exploring how these contaminants affect a vehicle’s exterior can guide owners in implementing effective cleaning and protective measures to preserve their vehicle’s appearance and structural integrity.
Dust and Pollen
Dust particles and pollen are common airborne contaminants that settle on the vehicle’s surface. Over time, they create a thin layer that can scratch the paint when wiped or rubbed, potentially dulling the finish. Regular washing and Mobile Car Detailing in Kochi, Kerala to remove dust and pollen, especially during peak pollen seasons, can prevent these contaminants from causing long-term damage to the vehicle’s exterior. Protective measures like waxing or sealing the paint can also help minimize the impact of these contaminants, preserving the vehicle’s appearance and finish.
Water Spots and Minerals
Water spots, which are often caused by mineral deposits in water, can form on the surface after rain or from hard water used during washing. If these spots are not properly dried, they can leave behind mineral stains that can be difficult to remove. Water spots and mineral residues on windows or glass surfaces can obstruct visibility and reduce clarity. They may become particularly problematic when they dry and harden, making it difficult to clean them off completely.
Bird Droppings
Bird droppings contain acidic substances that, if left on the surface for too long, can etch into the paint and cause discoloration or damage. Quick removal is crucial to prevent permanent stains. Bird droppings can cause immediate staining if not promptly removed. The pigments in the droppings, combined with their acidic content, can leave ugly stains on the paint that become increasingly difficult to remove as they dry and harden. The presence of dried or hardened bird droppings spoiled the vehicle’s appearance. The unsightly stains and damage they cause detract from the overall aesthetics, making the vehicle look older than it is.
Tar and Grease
Road tar and engine residue grease can splatter onto the vehicle. Tar and grease can trap other contaminants, like dust or dirt, further complicating their removal. This combination can form a gritty substance that may scratch the surface during removal attempts. When tar or grease remains on the vehicle’s exterior for a long time, it can cause staining. These substances can darken or discolor the affected areas, detracting from the vehicle’s appearance.
UV and Sunshine
UV rays can gradually degrade the protective clear coat on the vehicle’s paint, which results in a dulling of the finish and a less shiny and reflective surface. UV exposure can also cause plastic and rubber components such as trim, bumpers, and weather stripping to deteriorate. Over time, these parts may become brittle, crack, or fade, impacting their appearance and structural integrity. Frequent washing and waxing can act as a protective barrier against UV rays and help preserve the paint’s integrity.
Regular washing, detailing, and applying protective coatings help safeguard the paint and surfaces against contaminants. Doorstep Car Wash Service in Kochi, Kerala, can help to maintain a vehicle’s appearance, protect its surfaces, and extend its longevity, ensuring it retains its aesthetic appeal and value over time.

Maintaining a Dent-Free Vehicle
Tumblr media
Your vehicle is more than just a mode of transportation; it's an investment and a source of pride. Nothing is more frustrating than discovering an unsightly dent or ding on its smooth exterior. While it's impossible to prevent every potential hazard, there are steps you can take to maintain a dent-free vehicle. In this comprehensive guide, we'll offer you valuable advice on preventive measures and maintenance practices to help you keep your vehicle looking pristine. By following these tips, you can reduce the likelihood of dents and preserve the beauty and value of your automobile.
1. Choose Your Parking Spots Wisely
One of the most effective ways to prevent dents is to be selective about where you park your vehicle. Here are some parking tips to keep in mind:
Park Away from High-Traffic Areas: Choose parking spots that are away from high-traffic areas, such as crowded parking lots. The fewer cars and people around, the lower the risk of accidental dings and dents.
Use Parking Garages: Whenever possible, opt for parking garages or covered parking structures. They provide shelter from the elements and reduce the chances of hail damage.
Avoid Tight Spaces: Try to avoid parking in tight spaces where other drivers may have difficulty maneuvering their vehicles. This reduces the risk of someone inadvertently bumping into your car.
2. Invest in Bumper Guards and Door Edge Guards
Bumper guards and door edge guards are affordable accessories that can provide an added layer of protection for your vehicle. Here's how they can help:
Bumper Guards: These are typically rubber or plastic strips that attach to your vehicle's bumpers. They can absorb minor impacts and protect the bumper from scratches and dents caused by low-speed collisions.
Door Edge Guards: Door edge guards are strips that adhere to the edges of your car doors. They help prevent damage from door dings when parked in close quarters with other vehicles.
3. Be Mindful of Opening Car Doors
Door dings often occur when people open their car doors carelessly. To avoid causing dents to your vehicle or others, follow these guidelines:
Open Doors Slowly: Take your time when opening your car doors, especially in crowded parking lots. This reduces the chances of accidentally hitting adjacent vehicles.
Park Away from Crowds: Whenever possible, choose parking spots that provide ample space between your vehicle and neighboring cars.
Teach Children Car Door Etiquette: If you have children, educate them about the importance of being gentle when opening car doors to avoid causing dents to nearby vehicles.
4. Maintain a Safe Following Distance
While on the road, maintaining a safe following distance is essential for preventing accidents, but it can also help prevent dents. Here's how:
Avoid Tailgating: Tailgating increases the risk of collisions, which can result in dents and damage to your vehicle's front or rear end.
Brake Gradually: Brake smoothly and gradually rather than slamming on the brakes, which can reduce the likelihood of a rear-end collision.
Watch for Debris: Keep an eye out for road debris, rocks, or items that may be kicked up by vehicles in front of you. These objects can cause dents when they strike your vehicle.
5. Protect Your Vehicle from Hail Damage
Hailstorms can cause significant damage to vehicles, resulting in dents all over the body. Here's how you can protect your vehicle from hail damage:
Use a Car Cover: If you live in an area prone to hailstorms, consider investing in a car cover. Quality car covers are designed to absorb impact and protect your vehicle from hailstones.
Seek Shelter: When you receive advance notice of a severe storm, try to find shelter for your vehicle in a garage or covered area.
Hail Protectors: Some innovative devices, known as hail protectors, are designed to shield your vehicle from hail damage. These inflatable covers provide a protective barrier between your car and the hailstones.
6. Regularly Inspect Your Vehicle
Routine inspections of your vehicle can help you catch and address any potential issues before they lead to dents or damage. Here's what to look for:
Check for Rust: Rust can weaken the metal and make it more susceptible to dents. Regularly inspect your vehicle for signs of rust, especially in vulnerable areas like the wheel wells and undercarriage.
Inspect for Loose Parts: Loose or damaged parts, such as loose trim, can create vibrations that may lead to dents. Make sure all exterior parts of your vehicle are securely fastened.
Evaluate the Paint: Check for any chipped or peeling paint. The exposed metal is more vulnerable to dents and rust, so touch up any damaged areas promptly.
7. Practice Defensive Driving
Defensive driving is not only a safety measure but also a way to protect your vehicle from dents and damage. Here are some defensive driving tips:
Stay Alert: Pay close attention to your surroundings and anticipate the actions of other drivers. Defensive driving can help you avoid collisions that may lead to dents.
Avoid Aggressive Drivers: Steer clear of aggressive drivers who may engage in reckless behavior that can result in accidents and dents.
Use Your Mirrors: Regularly check your mirrors to be aware of what's happening behind and around your vehicle. This can help you respond quickly to potential threats.
8. Consider Dent Repair Protection Plans
Some automotive insurance providers offer dent repair protection plans. These plans can be added to your policy for an additional fee and cover the cost of repairing dents and dings without affecting your premium. Consider this option if you want peace of mind in case of unexpected damage.
Conclusion
Maintaining a dent-free vehicle requires a combination of preventive measures, safe driving practices, and regular inspections. By being mindful of where you park, investing in protective accessories, practicing safe driving, and addressing potential issues promptly, you can significantly reduce the risk of dents and dings. Remember that while accidents can happen, proactive measures can go a long way in preserving the beauty and value of your cherished automobile.

Flash Fiction: Car Accident
“This isn’t good,” I whispered, just barely louder than the pounding rain on the pale blue car and its windshield. The wind howled through the doors, the rubber weather stripping had long since dry rotted. I could barely see the road ahead through the deepening mist and torrents of water. I gripped the steering wheel as hard as I could, my fingers straining to not lose my hold.
“What do you mean?” My sister asked me, trying not to shout, but still be above the sounds of the sheets pouring from the sky. She never looked up from her phone, playing the game she was addicted to.
“This rain. It’s just not letting up,” I answered.
She stole a look ahead of us, then went back to her phone. “You’ve driven through this kind of rain before, you’ll be fine.” The road seemed to disappear within an instant. My car slammed into the standing water, veering its back tires to the left. I compensated to the right and straightened us back out. “See? We’re fine.” She was more sure of the car and my skill as a driver than I was.
We kept driving, the road soaked and flooded in too many places. I hit another stretch of water, but this time, when I tried to compensate, a truck passed along the side of us. The truck struck the water in its lane and collided into the front of my Aveo. She screamed while I tried to regain control. The car spun until we came to a stop with my front bumper against the guardrail.
We both exhaled a breath of relief.
Then we saw the semi careening down the hill. It smashed into the truck, and the last thing we saw was the driver of the semi trying to correct his course, and the trailer jackknifed as he slammed on his breaks.

Ambulance & Special Automobiles
Under the doormat is a teak bathe mat, with a drain beneath that empties from the bottom of the van. The showerhead is saved out of sight above the facet door on a hose that pulls out. A bathe curtain can be positioned around this area with magnets. Still from a video by Different Media. There is a portable offroad ambulance power station in the conversion that powers most of her electronics. She expenses the ability station when she drives and has been able to power every thing that means somewhat than opting for photo voltaic panels.
After viewing numerous automobiles, we finally found a bronze-metallic four-door Land Cruiser J7 in superb situation with few kilometers. The only problem was the small 2.5-liter diesel engine and the automatic transmission. However, it was a first-hand automobile with all required paperwork, one thing not essentially frequent in Uganda. I do not like a bus as a outcome converted ambulance of the roof could be too low inside. I seemed at the ambulance choice however I did not like how the outside storage lockers encroached on the within house. Seems an ambulance conversion is greatest because it contains a great amount of store exterior within the rectagular field format.
Many on there have also been converted to 4 wheel drive. Once you spend a number of hours on that site, you may see that not all campers need 4x4 ambulance conversion to be commercially manufactured. Some of the good I've seen were constructed by individuals with a dream.
It supplies massive quantities of cupboard space, a high head height, and different premium options. Higher output alternators, larger battery banks, power inverters, provide the on-demand energy wanted by RV owners. Also, buying a used ambulance and changing it could often be cheaper than buying off road ambulance a used comparable RV. Ambulances characteristic high quality development and an overbuilt structure in comparison with an RV. Its strong construction enhances safety and durability and increases weight capability. Photo by @adventure_amboBen constructed out a 1995 F-350 ambulance for about $13,000.
A nifty rubbish shoot alongside the counter keeps smells out of the tiny area. In a more serious note, insides of any ambulance are normally crammed with storage lockers and so forth, that there's not that a lot room inside. If you're feeling you'll be able to build yourself a good bed/table/whatever you need with out stripping everything off road ambulance conversion off… why not. If you plan stripping it in any case there are probably less abused options obtainable than old ambulance. In case the weight of the automobile, or Zach’s off road decision making gets them dug in, the Ford has am ARB Winch bumper holding a Smittybilt 17,500# winch. For lighting the truck has Hella Rallye lights, Baja Designs s2 Pros and a Rigid Industries 40″ Light bar.
Then, you need to seal the cab to the rear with a rubber or flexible plastic. Some ambulance packing containers are proper up towards the cab. Other packing containers are separated from the cab by a few inches of area. If you should bridge that hole, the method becomes harder and expensive. People need places to sit down and lay down contained in the rear of the car.

Car Detailing Helps Sell Your Car Or Vehicle
Tumblr media
Introduction
Detailing is the process of cleaning a vehicle inside and out including waxing, polishing and washing. The process can be done by hand or with special equipment such as buffers, steam cleaners or laser wash systems. Car detailing adelaide helps sell your car or vehicle because it makes it look like new again!
Car detailing is a method of cleaning the interior and exterior of a vehicle to include the seats, carpets and headliner. Wax is often applied to the paint finish on the exterior of the car and special attention is paid to any chrome or metal trim.

Car washing can damage your investment in many ways. Washing your vehicle with low quality products can cause damage that will cost more in repairs than it would have if you had taken your car to an auto detailer for regular maintenance. Car washing also takes time away from you that could be better spent with family or friends enjoying life instead of spending hours trying clean out dirt, grime and buildup from years of neglecting your ride!
Car detailing is not simply washing a vehicle. Although this may be an important element in any car detailing service, it includes much more such as cleaning glass and other windows, polishing metal parts and waxing the finish of your car.
Perhaps you have been told that car detailing is just washing a vehicle. Although this may be an important element in any car detailing service, it includes much more such as cleaning glass and other windows, polishing metal parts and waxing the finish of your car.
Car detailing services can be performed at your home, garage or auto body shop (if you are having body work done). The professional will come to your location with all tools needed to do a complete job. In some cases, they will use their own equipment while others prefer to use yours if they think they can get better results that way.
The process includes cleaning every inch of the interior and exterior surfaces of your vehicle with specialized products such as glass cleaners and special shampoos for carpets, seats and leather interiors etc… The cleaning process also includes vacuuming carpeted floors; washing plastic trims such as bumpers; polishing chrome trimming using various compounds depending on what look you want for your finish; scrubbing rubber mats using brushes designed specifically for this purpose; stripping off old waxes from glass by applying new coats until their appearance becomes clear again after each application
Auto detailing services are available from many different companies. Some auto detailers specialize in a specific type of car detailing such as fleet vehicle washing or mobile car washing. Others use high-end products and equipment to provide a thorough cleaning for luxury or custom vehicles.

Bank Heist Part 2 (San)
Tumblr media
Title: Bank Heist
Pairing: San x Reader
Genre: Spice; Action
Word Count: 4.9K Words (Both Parts)
Writer: Kpopmadness (Ju)
A/N: Part 2 of 2
San sees the Taxi and chuckles, “I don’t think so.”
You narrow your eyes at him, “San, it’s perfect. I disguised my car as a Taxi service car so we can blend into the traffic. The cops won’t guess it.”
San sighs as he checks the street, it’s silent for now. But you can see flashing blue and red lights ahead.
“I don’t think so baby.” He says as he starts to walk toward a car parked behind yours.
You let your mouth hang open.  It’s a black HENNESSEY VENOM F5 car. Next to your Toyota, he made it look like crap on a shoe. You open your mouth to say something but a bullet splits the air and you roll to the ground. Two cop cars have swerved to a stop in the road, officers stand behind their door with guns aimed.
San grabs your hand and pulls you into the car’s driver's side door. You scoot all the way to the passenger side and take off your backpack. The engine comes to life with a whirr and bright lights come on in the direction of the officers. San throws the car in reverse and backs up quickly, veering onto the sidewalk, before throwing it into drive and punching it. Other cars honk at you as they skid to a stop as you speed by. Two cop cars speed out of adjoining alleyways and follow.
“Take the wheel.”  San says.
Before you can protest he takes a hand off the steering wheel and pulls you over his lap as he slides to the passenger side and opens the sunroof. Letting a gust of cool air into the car.
You see San take the gun out from behind his back before he instructs, “Punch it. And don’t stop unless I tell you to.”
You check the meter as it climbs from 100 to 190. You swerve as other cars try to stop and fail and crash into each other. For a moment you're thankful you're driving in Chicago. A car pile up would slow down the cops.
You jump a little as San fires the gun a few times and you see one cop car fall behind. Two tires on it blown. Two more cover it though. Making it four cars chasing you.
San comes back down as a round of shots are fired back at him from one of the cop cars. “Slow down a bit. When I tell you to stop, stop. And then turn right and punch it.”
You nod as he surfaces up to the top again and a few more shots split the air. The needle comes down slowly and you see the cop cars catch up. Almost kissing the bumper. Then they come to either side of the car.
“Stop!” San yells.
You hit the brakes and smoke curls out from the tires as rubber burns pavement. The three cop cars speed past either side of you. One cop car a little too close and takes your left side mirror. But they are caught off guard from the sudden stop.
“To the right!” San yells as he sits back in the passenger seat.
You turn sharply to the right and punch it. Taking off down a road with a steep hill. Cop sirens blar in the back but are still distant.
“Darling,” San says with a mischievous grin on his face as he takes his jacket off, “How do you feel about going for a swim?”
“What?” You say, confused. Then you look beside you and see what he’s talking about: The Chicago River.
“No.” You protest, reading his thoughts; “First off, Not in this car, Choi San. Second, what about the money?”
“I’ll buy another car. The backpack is waterproof, the money is safe. And you need to trust me. It will lose the cops faster. Take another right up ahead and turn your lights off.” He instructs. He seems to think for a moment and then places his hand on the wheel, “Take your jacket and cap off.”
You open your mouth to protest but San shoots you a hard look and you feel a growl come out of your lips but obediently take off the jacket and cap. When you're finished, you're at the turning spot San told you about.
San has put on the pack back and has rolled down his window. The road meets a bridge before meeting a steep incline with grass on both sides.
“You ready?” He asks as he positions himself to get out.
You sigh wistfully and nod. Silently apologizing to the car for what it was about to go through.
“Turn left now.” San says.
You take a deep breath and turn the car. It goes head first into the river. Water bubbles up and gets in through Sans' rolled down window. You have to push past the hard current of water coming in the car as it sinks further into the river. San grabs your wrist and pulls you out once he’s out. You expect to be able to go up to the surface for a breath. But San puts an arm around your waist and keeps you under. The water is murky and burns your eyes but you see him point upwards. Just as you look up you see the flash of red and blue lights come to a stop beside the river. The jackets you and San had taken off float out from the car window and up to the surface floating on top of the water.
You feel a surge of victory and accomplishment. Even though you're not out of danger yet. San pulls at your wrist and you both quickly swim under the water some distance. You only stop to briefly let your body float to the top to take a quick breath of air, your lips barely breaking the surface before diving back down.
You and San go like this for some time. After swimming for thirty minutes straight, your body fatigued and exhausted, San surfaces the water completely and leads you to a grassy bank to the side. The police far behind you with only the dim view of their lights in the distance.
You lay on your back on the bank. Letting cool air sweep over you as you take deep breaths. San falls beside you breathing heavily.
“We did it!”  You say squeal as a fit of laughter goes through you.
San laughs beside you before pointing out, “You did it.”
Your laughter fades as your eyes meet his. His hair is slicked back now, the gray strip mixing in with his black hair and his black shirt clings to his torso.
Finally, you ask the long burning question in the back of your mind. “You knew. How?”
San sighs and runs a finger down your cheek before saying, “I kept up with you after I left. I couldn’t just leave you.”
“Why did you leave?” You press. Needing to know.
San stares at you for a long time before coming up onto his elbows and letting most of his body weight rest on you before stating, “Because I love you. And it scared me to death. So I ran. I ran like a coward and tried to forget about you. But no matter how much I ran, I always felt a pull to come back to you. Then I heard about Wild Card opening, and I had a feeling you might be there. And you were. So I planned. And now… we’re here.”
You loop your arms around his neck and pull his lips down to yours. Years of hurt healing slowly through the kiss. You press his head down further and deepen the kiss greedily as his hands find your waist. But it’s you who slides one knee between his legs as he adjusts his body weight on top of you. But it was you who pulled away just enough to delicately kiss your way down to his collarbone. Making his breath hitch before he brings your head back up to meet your lips.
After some time, you pull away just enough to whisper, “I’m not apologizing for punching you earlier.”
San lets off a soft chuckle and kisses your nose before whispering back, “Deal.”
You smile against his lips. Even though you had almost a million dollars in a backpack, and had successfully bankrupted the largest bank in Chicago. Having San back topped them all.

Tumblr media
Once again, it was Friday. She woke up a little later than usual because she was working from home on the advise of the Winchesters. She noticed that she was running low on body wash while she showered and added this to her list. She purposefully picked two odd socks to wear—one pastel pink and one baby blue—because under her jeans nobody would notice. Not that she planned on seeing too many people. The day was full of the usual formalities that she expected out of every single day, which she supposed is why she felt so peaceful. Never would she have suspected that this serenity she had found was the calm before the storm. Never would Y/N have thought that this was the tranquility some people experience on the day before they die.
“Like hell, is it,” you respond to the inside of your car as your foot presses a little harder on the gas pedal. Your speedometer zips past the ‘within 10%’ of the speed limit you’d normally drive at until you’re going 90 in a 70. You are, like she says, calm. You’re a great big blanket of calm even speeding along the interstate. Because you know exactly where you’re going. A little suburb that backs onto Lake Easter in Des Moines.
You’d almost hit the road the day before except by the time you’d street viewed the home you were traveling to, memorized three different routes, and talked yourself in and out of going several times; it was too late. What should have been a good day yesterday—a successful rookie mission and an unexpected kiss—had become all about her. Emma Effiel. You’d looked up her social media and scrolled back as far as a Supernatural convention she’d been to some years ago. You’d read an article in her local paper about a pie baking competition she’d won last summer. The paper hadn’t understood her quote as a reference to some books because they had printed it as is: “Dean loves pie.” They hadn’t even questioned who Dean was. Or the reporter must have asked at the time but she’d pretended to know a Dean.
There is a Dean, obviously. The actual Dean. He’s working. He’d called you before you left to tell you they think they have a lead on the shifter. Another death on the other side of town that fits the pattern. They think they can catch this thing now before the insurance claim is even submitted, and put a stop to this. They also think you’re at home, safe and sound, not driving a hundred and something miles to run a quick errand and save your own life.
If everything goes right by the end of the day there will be one less monster in the world and one less voice in your head.
Although it’s not a voice anymore. It’s Emma. She’s in your head.
You slow down when you take exit 9 onto shorter roads with fewer lanes, slowing down is a necessity to not kill yourself on the way to saving yourself. Eventually, you’re chugging along two-lane roads amongst other people going about their lives. A few red lights, some traffic, and then you’re turning onto her road and parking on the street outside her house.
You didn’t know she was home, technically, but there’s a truck in front of her garage. The bumper sticker says ‘driver picks the music, shotgun shuts their cakehole’ and you figure it’s a pretty safe bet that she’s inside.
Driving is easy but there’s a lump in your throat when it comes to actually walking to her front door. You’ve been walking since you were 11 months old. This is the hardest it’s ever been to move one foot in front of the other.
Her door is whitewashed wood with a window in the middle. You notice doors because you stand in front of so many, this one just makes you wonder if she’ll recognize you through the glass. If you look how she imagined, or if her brain will be able to even leap to something as crazy as you existing.
She has a doorbell so you press the small rubber button with a lone shaky finger. You hear a classic ding dong reverberate inside her home, although dulled by the walls.
She doesn’t take long to answer the door and once she does you’re paralyzed.
“Hello?”
Even with that one word, it’s her. You’ve heard a thousand or more words in that same vaguely midwestern accent. The interesting thing is actually hearing it outside of your head. Usually, she’s amplified, echoing, taking up the whole of your brain. In front of you, she’s so, to use her own phrase, achingly normal.
“Are you selling something? Because I’m sorry but I’m not interested.”
The door in her hand moves an inch and that triggers you, the thought of this door closing.
“Hi, my name is Y/N Y/L/N, I believe you’re writing a story about me.” You hadn’t planned what to say, you’d been more concerned with getting here, although you suppose that’s not a bad place to start.
She narrows her eyes at you but the corners of her lips curl slightly, caught in surprise and thinking it’s a prank. “Did-Did someone put you up to this? Is this a joke?”
“No-one put me up to this. My name is Y/N and you’re writing a story about me, or about killing me I guess. I’m an insurance adjuster with a crappy car and I drink tea instead of coffee. Yesterday I visited a bank with Dean Winchester. Oh and there’s this.” You lean down and pull the hem of your jeans above your ankles, enough to show her your mismatched socks. One pale pink and one baby blue.
She looks between the two strips of fabric peeking out of your shoes. Her bottom lip trembles and her chest shudders to a stop. And then, when she brings her line of sight back up to your face, she faints.
It happens quickly. One minute she's standing there and the next she's collapsed on the floor like a rag doll. The only thing you can think of is what if someone sees this, so logically you do the only thing you can, you step inside and around her. She's only out for a few seconds, she's opening her eyes by the time you click the door closed.
You go through it again. She's woken up half groggy, half scared, and still questioning who you were. With the addition of now asking why you were inside her home.
The thing is, she knows it's you. That's why she'd fainted. Each time she asks is only confirming the obvious fact. It takes a few minutes but eventually, she admits it out loud. She knows you are who you claim to be, and she knows because an image of you was inside her head. You’d laughed at that, almost certain that she didn’t mean it in quite the same way as you've had to deal with. But that was a whole new can of worms that you hadn’t covered yet.
Tumblr media
“How did you find me?” She’s got her legs tucked into her chest and her hands wrapped around a heavy glass filled with some amber colored alcohol. Possibly bourbon but you weren’t going to question her, even if it's still eleven in the morning. She’d made you a tea and although you hadn’t told her, she’d made it exactly how you liked it.
“That, well, wasn’t me actually. I have a friend, Stan, he’s done some work for me before. I asked him to try and find you. I didn’t know if he would manage it, I only had your blog to go on.”
Another gulp of her drink. “My blog? You-you’ve read my blog?”
“Yes. I’ve read it.” You state the fact as simply as possible in short, sharp sentences. She is struggling to some things still by now you’re used to a little crazy.
“But you said you hear-hear me writing it? Did you hear me writing earlier?”
“When you casually mentioned that I die tomorrow? Yes. I don’t hear, God, not all of it. I don’t know why…” you let out this laugh, all strangled and broken. It’s a laugh but you are not happy. The bitterness you’ve buried deep down comes crawling out of your throat. “I don’t know why I hear you at all! I don’t hear all of it though. And there are things I didn’t do, like-like I didn’t sleep with Dean.”
There’s something that looks like relief on her face, which she explains when you pointedly stare at her, “oh I wouldn’t have felt good about forcing you to…you know.”
“You’re planning on killing me.” You deadpan.
She looks like she has no idea what to say to that and you have a thousand things to say, that's kind of why you did the drive, so you continue. “Don’t get me wrong, I kissed him and I think I like him but how do I know when I can hear you? You’re in my head whenever he’s around telling me what I’m feeling and what I’m thinking and… how do I know what’s real and what's your imagination?”
Emma is staring at the melting ice cube in her almost empty glass like she hasn’t heard a word you said, lost in her disbelief. You let her stare. You're trying to be patient, you can appreciate that you’d had a lot longer to get used to this than she had.
“I can’t believe you’re here. I can’t believe you’re sitting there in front of me, drinking my tea. Talking about my story like it’s…”
“Real?”
She nods, afraid of what might come out of her mouth if she opens it again.
You take a sip of your tea. “Now you know how I felt when I read Supernatural and then Sam and Dean showed up.”
“Wait, you’ve read Supernatural?”
“You didn’t know?”
She shakes her head and you realize that she’d never mentioned it. Your imminent death sure, but she’d never mentioned the books you read and how disarming it had been to meet the characters from them. Only that it was disarming to find out monsters existed at all.
“Fuck, that means Sam and Dean are?”
You manage to smile at that and the idea of her finding your existence to be more impressive than theirs. Even with her bumper sticker. “Yeah, they’re real too. They’re hunting the shifter literally as we speak.”
She creases her brow, “they’re not? They didn’t want to come here?” She must be thinking back to Chuck, to the story of the writer in the book, and how Sam and Dean couldn’t help but investigate.
“I didn’t tell them about you. I mean, I kind of thought I was going crazy at first. Even when you were right about everything I only thought you were right because you were a figment of my imagination, or like, a tumor. I only realized you were,” you wave a hand in her direction, tired of saying the word ‘real’ again, “when I found the story. It’s good, by the way. The story I mean. I read a lot of books, I guess you already knew that, and this is up there. That’s not biased because it’s about me. I thought it would have been weird but actually it was nice to see my life through your eyes. You made me more important.”
Emma nods somehow understanding even if she has no clue, “I can’t believe you read it. Although if we’re playing the game of what I can’t believe the most, it’s definitely still sitting here talking to you.”
Your mind goes back to that part of the story you hadn’t heard but you’d read on your phone. The paragraph had stuck in your head when you read it and in the days since it repeats at particularly quiet moments.
Y/N had never considered herself the main character, not even in her own life. Main characters, those in the books she read, were always so interesting. A tragic past or a troubled present and the perfect amount of development for an interesting future. These characters kept her reading in bed till three in the morning because she needed to know how they would handle their next danger or heartbreak. Or how would that particularly brilliant one figure out who the murderer was with nothing to go on. Main characters could be anything or anyone and next to them Y/N felt so helplessly ordinary. She woke up five days a week and went to her job, she paid her bills on time and went for groceries on Sunday mornings. She always thought she was a supporting character, black and white in a world of color.
She was, of course, absolutely irrefutably wrong.
You hadn’t believed it, a part of you still didn’t believe it now, but that was before you saw the way Emma looked at you. Granted she was the person who wrote it, and yet it was still there in her eyes. Awe. Past the shock and disbelief, this woman was in awe of sitting in a room with her main character. And you remember how you felt reading the story, how much you’d wanted to know what happens. Not only because you wanted to know how you were going to die but because in her story you really were the leading lady. Sam and Dean, the characters you’d poured yourself over in the books, were playing second string to your story arc. You remember how beautiful her words had been and by association, how beautiful you’d been.
That's when you decide to ask the question. The one that you've lost sleep thinking about, the one that you came all this way to ask. Except as it comes tumbling out of your mouth you're not quite cautionary. You're eager to find out.
“How is it going to end?”
Tumblr media
Your house is quiet when you arrive home. It’s barely dark outside but you’ve driven for more hours than you’re used to. Exhausted does not come close describing how you feel. It’s more than a physical exhaustion—although your back is definitely mad at you—after you’d spent hours talking to Emma you’re mentally ready to check out.
Not check out of life, although, in the end, you’d left that decision up to her.
She let you read where she was up to, which was about ready to finish the penultimate chapter. Then she’d mentioned she’d have to revise it now. Even though it was perfect. Even though you found yourself smiling at the screen because it was that perfect.
In all the work to find her, you never stopped to consider that maybe you shouldn’t find her. You weren’t ready to die but you’re finding it hard to decide if you’d get a better-written death than the one written by Emma Effiel.
Yes, that’s an absolutely crazy thing to think and Emma had told you it was crazy when you’d dare to say it to her. And it is crazy. In the end, you'd argued with yourself while storming around her coffee table, making cases for both endings and neither endings.
There was a reason you'd left this decision up to her. You couldn't make it.
If she killed you then at least you’d live forever in literature, and if she didn’t, at least you might get some peace and quiet. Although, if she does kill you, you told her to find a book publisher already so it would at least be worth it.
You should eat but after weeks of a thousand reasons to not sleep your bed is finally calling you. Which is why your phone rings.
“Dean?”
“You want the good news or the bad news?” He sounds more tired than you, not that it's a competition. He's just winning anyway.
You kick your shoes off, “there’s good news?”
A pause that could be a shoddy connection. “Alright, you got me. The bad news ain’t so bad though. The lead was a bust, the guy had been wormfood for weeks but it's not the end of the world. We'll find it."
There's a knock at your door, "thanks for letting me know. Listen, I've gotta go, someones here and then I am going to sleep for a really long time. Talk tomorrow?”
"Someone's there?" You wonder if he's always so nosy. You don’t remember that in the books.
Pushing yourself against the door, you check the peephole, "it's only Laura, she’s probably dropping off some new case for me or something. I am still supposed to be working remember."
Dean must hear how calm you are at your friend showing up because he sighs all relieved down the other end of the phone and Laura knocks again. "Sorry, I really have to go. I'll call you tomorrow Dean."
There's some muttering with someone else and then a faint, "sure," as you hang up. Not that it matters. You could see Dean tomorrow, you hoped to see him tomorrow. In case it does end up as your last day on earth.
Laura grins when you open up, "Hi Y/N. Had something to stop by and bring you."
"And there I was thinking that you missed me.” You feign hurt in your voice. “It’s fine I've got some paperwork anyway, think you could take it in on Monday for me?"
She follows you inside and the last thing you hear is the lock close and, "sure thing. Perfect actually."
You turn back to Laura with a small stack of forms from the bank in your hands. That’s when she rams the butt of her gun, a gun you hadn't seen, against the side of your head.

First Look: The McLaren 620R - A Street-Legal GT4 Race Car
McLaren has announced the 620R, the first car in its class to offer true motorsport credentials in a fully road-legal package. The limited-edition coupé – just 350 will be built – evolves the competition specification of the McLaren 570S GT4 to deliver a race-car experience on either track or road.
McLaren has enjoyed significant GT race success with Customer Racing teams and in recent seasons the 570S GT4 has been instrumental in adding to that record of success. Since the customer debut in 2017, the car has become the most successful GT race car built by McLaren, achieving more race wins and podiums than any other to date; in 2019, the 570S GT4 has competed in championships on four continents. Now, as the ultimate track-focused, track-ready but roadgoing McLaren Sports Series model, the McLaren 620R – a car destined to be both rare and collectible, thanks to its strictly limited production run – celebrates the achievements of the 570S GT4.
The McLaren 620R is a unique proposition, delivering a pure motorsport experience in a road car with authenticity: it looks like a race car, handles like a race car, performs like a race car and feels like a race car. The result overall is a seamless transition from race to road – and vice versa. Exclusive and extreme in equal measure, the McLaren 620R retains the DNA of a fully homologated track car yet is free from the restrictions that race regulations apply.
A high level of commonality with a 570S GT4 race car has been integral to the development of the 620R from very outset. They have the same, single-piece carbon fiber Monocell II chassis providing the foundations for the strength and light weight of the car, with a targeted lightest dry weight of 1,282kg. This carbon fiber core – a McLaren signature that in different guises features in every car in the company’s range – also underpins the dynamic precision and composure for which McLarens are renowned. These characteristics have been enhanced in the 620R by the inclusion of the GT4’s adjustable aerodynamic elements, race-derived suspension components and powertrain recalibration to increase power and performance.
The 620R has the same M838TE 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine used in the GT4 car, but with a significant difference in power output; freedom from racing regulations has allowed the engine ECU and turbocharger management to be reconfigured to achieve 620PS (610bhp), making this the most powerful Sports Series car yet. The engine also develops torque of 620Nm (457lb ft) and even with lap times more important than sheer top speed, the combined outputs helps to deliver benchmark performance figures of 0-100km/h (62mph) in 2.9 seconds and 0-200km/h (124mph) in 8.1 seconds. Maximum speed is 322km/h (200mph).
The use of stiffer powertrain mounts reduces drivetrain forces under acceleration, minimizing the effect of inertia under high load, while the 7-speed Seamless Shift Gearbox (SSG) delivers super-fast shift times, further aided in Track model by McLaren’s Inertia Push technology, which converts built-up flywheel energy into a momentary burst of torque on upshift. For added drama on the road the driver can select Sport mode and hear the upshift ‘crack’ created by a split-second cut of the ignition spark during a gearshift.
Fitment of the GT4’s two-way manually adjustable coilover motorsport dampers, which feature 32 clicks of adjustment per corner to allow a driver to tailor compression and rebound rates to suit their driving style and track conditions, adds to the 620R’s motorsport credentials. The dampers also help to bring weight down overall, being more than 6kg lighter than the regular Sports Series units.
The suspension which features lightweight aluminium wishbones and uprights and stiffer anti-roll bars and springs than fitted on a regular Sports Series model, is further enhanced by swapping rubber top mounts for solid stainless steel alternatives to provide noticeable improvements in steering control and feedback, above and beyond the very high standards enjoyed in all McLaren cars.
Stopping power comes from McLaren’s latest lightweight braking system, which in the track-focused set-up on the new 620R comprises carbon ceramic discs (390mm front, 380mm rear) and forged aluminium brake calipers all round, with improved pedal response, modularity and resistance to fade even after repeated hard-driven circuit laps.
The braking performance is unsurprisingly also extremely impressive on the road, where the 620R runs as standard with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R semi-slick tyres, but drivers who swap to the optional, full-slick motorsport tyres when they arrive on circuit will experience a whole new level of braking. Specially developed for McLaren by Pirelli’s Motorsport team, the slick tyres are optimised to complement the motorsport brakes and race-derived suspension of the 620R. They unlock a contact patch 8% larger than that of the road tyre, increasing lateral G-forces and enabling quicker lap times.
This is the first time that a road-legal car with 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels has been engineered to be able to run on slick tires without the need for additional mechanical adjustment. This means that if weather conditions allow, owners can on arrival at a circuit either fit a second set of wheels or change tires and go straight out on track without further delay.
High levels of mechanical grip are an essential part of the 620R’s track parentage, but it is the car’s aerodynamic performance that elevates it to the status of a road-legal GT4 racer. The adjustable carbon fiber rear wing is the same component fitted to the 570S GT4. Raised 32cm (12.5in) into the cleaner airflow above the vehicle to increase downforce while minimizing drag, the wing is road legal thanks to its newly incorporated third brake light. Customers will receive their cars with the wing set to the least aggressive of its three available angles, optimizing front/rear balance for road driving. The more aggressive angles – which can be set by a McLaren retailer – increase rear downforce still further, contributing to a maximum of 185kg (408lbs) and enabling even quicker circuit-running.
While the rear wing quite literally stands out as an obvious distinguishing feature on the 620R, it is not the only component adapted from the GT4’s aggressive track specification to meet road homologation standards. The front bumper, splitter and bonnet have been redesigned – the splitter retaining pronounced aero blades and cut-out – while the carbon fiber bonnet has twin nostrils to aid downforce and clean up the airflow over the top of the car. Downforce at the front of the car is further increased by dive planes that create vortices of low-pressure air at track level and help accelerate airflow along the car’s sides, as well as significantly aiding brake-cooling. The dive planes contribute up to 30kg (66lbs) of downforce as part of the 65kg (143lbs) delivered by the full frontal aero package.
The performance, feel, feedback and handling characteristics of the 620R will leave a driver in no doubt that it is a race car at heart, but there are other obvious clues that are apparent before the engine is even started. The interior clearly and immediately stands out as track-inspired - any GT4 race driver will feel instantly at home. As with any serious circuit car, it is as much about what has been stripped out as what has been included - the 620R does not have a floor carpet or a glovebox. Air-conditioning, IRIS Navigation and an audio system are also missing from the standard specification, although all can be selected at no additional cost. A lightweight Bowers & Wilkins upgraded audio system is also available, as a cost option.
Driver and passenger are secured in super-lightweight carbon fiber racing seats by six-point racing harnesses, fitted as standard. Key ‘track touchpoints’ include the red 12 o’clock mark on the steering wheel and door pull straps to aid door closure when a driver is held in place by the harnesses. Structural carbon fiber elements such as extended shift paddles, steering wheel spokes and center console enhance the sense of being in the cabin of a race car.
A McLaren Track Telemetry (MTT) system is standard and is displayed on a center-mounted 7-inch touchscreen. If buyers specify the optional MSO Roof Scoop Upgrade Pack, which features the striking scoop first seen on a Sports Series at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 2018, the MTT system can be upgraded to include the three-camera system that is also available as a standalone option.
Each 620R features a dedication plaque on the center console with numerical identification (1 of 350; 2 of 350, etc). As with every McLaren road car, each 620R can be configured to be distinctively individual. Single elements, for example the color of the brake calipers, can be chosen as a solus specification; alternatively, buyers can opt for upgrade packs such as the Gloss Finish Visual Carbon Fiber Exterior Pack, which adds visual drama to everything from the side intakes to the door mirror casings. McLaren Special Operations (MSO) provides further personalization choices, with a range of MSO Defined Exterior options that includes a titanium SuperSports Exhaust with Nano Black Exhaust Finisher and MSO Defined interior upgrades that incorporate a choice of harness colour.
All three exterior colors available as standard on the 620R are inspired by GT4 race cars – McLaren Orange (with white racing stripes), Silica White (orange stripes) or Onyx Black (orange stripes) – and each can be optioned with race number decals and/or partner decals. Further body colors are available in the MSO line-build palette. An even more exclusive decal livery inspired by the McLaren Senna GTR is also available.
620R production will be limited to just 350 customer orders, all hand-built at the McLaren Production Centre in Woking, Surrey. Production will begin in January, with each car costing from £250,000 including taxes (UK); for buyers purchasing in Europe and the USA, the price includes a Pure McLaren Track Day, with expert driving tuition at a race circuit
