RTS games as a genre are absolutely Black, yes. Most games where your “skill” scales with your ability to micromanage would qualify.

Civilization is my Ur-example for Black because playing as an immortal emperor for the entire history of time with the stated goal being world domination is a very Black game to play.

I’m illustrating MTG ethical color theory through the example of popular video game franchises. For example, Horizon Zero Dawn is probably the most Blue game I have ever played. The entire plot is a deconstruction of “ignorance is bliss” and “return to antiquity” fantasies (very Blue). The gameplay pits you against enemies much more powerful than you, which you must outmaneuver and outwit (again, very Blue). The other groups you must contend with in-world map neatly to the colors (Nora, Carja, Banuk Shadow, and Oseram), with only the Banuk demonstrating temperaments akin to Aloy’s.

Extremely Blue piece. Excellent game, also.
