Paladin with a firm oath against killing but keeps bringing it up in really weird contexts.

"Thank you for the christmas sweater! Just to remind you, I do have a vow against killing you over it. What, no, I love the sweater! I just wanted you to know it would violate my oath to kill you over it!"

Every conversation I have with her listening to her foreboding choir music makes me feel like I'm in a cutscene conversation with the Final Boss, except that conversation never ends, and the Final Boss won everything before I was even born, and it couldn't be bothered to show up so it just sent one of it's teeth after me to make small talk, if only to have me recoil before it's pleasing sharpness. I adore talking to her and it makes me feel sick and hollow. why is this game so horribly addicting.

I always thought the paladin class was kind of bland, vanilla, and boring. Like many others on forums, I shared the opinion that they were just annoying goody two-shoes. That was until I took a moment to actually read their tenets, especially the Oath of the Ancients:

Kindle the Light: Through your acts of mercy, kindness, and forgiveness, kindle the light of hope in the world, beating back despair.

Shelter the Light: Where there is good, beauty, love, and laughter in the world, stand against the wickedness that would swallow it. Where life flourishes, stand against the forces that would render it barren.

Preserve Your Own Light: Delight in song and laughter, in beauty and art. If you allow the light to die in your own heart, you can't preserve it in the world.

Be the Light: Be a glorious beacon for all who live in despair. Let the light of your joy and courage shine forth in all your deeds.

How beautiful is that? I want to follow these tenets in real life.

The paladin class is about working toward an ideal so strong, so unwavering, that it manifests as magic. Maybe my interpretation isn’t perfect, but thinking about a paladin breaking their oath now feels much sadder. How I choose to see it, an oathbreaker is not a person who accidentally broke a tenant but a person that stop believing in the dream of a better future.

this is just kind of a big tangent but like I fucking hate when nerd ass losers see a game with even vague similarities to another game and go "ERMMM. HOW ORIGINALL (SARCASTIC). THIS IS JUST ANOTHER GAME IN THE STUPID TREND OF-" and then they list every genre/label under the sun to try and discredit the game as unoriginal by comparing it to other games. 90% of the time they haven't even played the game they're complaining about. they just see pixel art and get angry ig.

You had to throw in platformers in your disgusting word smoothie because otherwise you couldn't even find any real similarities besides "has a story and contains pixels". they think the psychological horror game Omori is just Undertale 2. yeah sorry guys Super Fuckin Mario Brothers is part of the quirky rpg metroidvania fjhksdgjhlkfgsdhkfgh-like diarrhea trend. cant play it now or you're cringe and bad. do you people ever get TIIIRRREEDDDDD. tbh I think the responsiveness of a game like Disco Elysium would stress me out to the point of no longer wanting to make "bad" or antisocial decisions LOL the whole point of being unhinged in a video game is to indulge in the impulse to be terrible without any serious consequences, if the game is going to actually respond to my actions and make me defend them or take accountability... well now I have to be good 😳

She is also basically the size of a plushie, as despite being 18, she is not fully grown at all for her species, making her very adorable, and is very squishy too, but don’t underestimate her. She can be identified form other members of her species by her googles, and her necklace.
