Bulldog: te saca del trance ochentero y le mete full lo rockero, se siente rockabilly pero mezclado con su típico estilo garage rock punk, y ese pinche mini solo de guitarra me termino de dar el orgasmo musical que necesitaba porque es la última rola del álbum.

Si eso les gustó, los invito a escuchar los otros álbumes. Pueden ir a su canal de Youtube, o su página de Spotify, en ambos lugares encuentran todo. De todos modos les dejo una descripción en palabras de fan con problemas de redacción(?) y la primer canción del respectivo álbum.

Weekend Man

Su tercer álbum. Creo que fueron menos “ruidosos” que en los primeros y probaron cosas nuevas, pero mantienen su ritmo característico, y siento que suena más The Black And White Album de The Hives, en un buen sentido. Su canción “Baby” es una probadita del estilo que nos traería en Club Majesty.

Save The Nation

El segundo. En general este álbum es menos brillante, yo digo que es más darks y heavy(?), mantienen lo rítmico pero hay canciones más pesadas y más escandalosas. En la playlist de Youtube y Spotify no vienen dos canciones extra, “Vicious” y “This Means War”

We Are The Royal

El inicio de todo. De principio a fin es una tormenta de energía, ruidoso pero con un chingo de ritmo, que me da la sensación como de ser punk, pero no, no es ni punk rock, ni rock alternativo, es una mezcla ruidosa de todo eso, and I love it.

Royal Republic and The Nosebreakers (acústico)

Este álbum acústico estilo country fue lanzado después de Save The Nation, pero lo pongo al final porque recomiendo escucharlo después de haber escuchado los primeros, pues son covers de esos, y son muy diferentes a sus versiones originales pero les juro que esta onda country es hermosa y los amo están bien pendejos pero son músicos geniales 100/100. (De todos modos les pongo la primera)

Y eso sería todo. Ojalá les hayan gustado, y si no, pues qué más da, para gustos, colores.

Royal Republic and The Nosebreakers @ Hybrydy, Warsaw

Kolejny rok rozpoczęłyśmy od koncertu Royal Republic. I choć widziałyśmy ich już kilkukrotnie, nie do końca wiedziałyśmy czego możemy się spodziewać po występie Royal Republic and The Nosebreakers. Jak miałyby brzmieć nowe aranżacje znanych nam utworów? Czy to w ogóle ma szansę na powodzenie?

Nie jest rzadkością, kiedy zespół wydaje akustyczny album, a czasem nawet gra całą serię takich występów.  Podejrzewam jednak, że niewiele grup zdołałoby z sukcesem oraz bez obciachu przeprowadzić taką trasę. Ci Szwedzi udowodnili, że mają jaja i poszli na całość. Wraz z kilkoma zaprzyjaźnionymi muzykami całkowicie przearanżowali swoje utwory – na wersje od country po latino.

Cały koncert należy potraktować z przymrużeniem oka. Nastrojowe świeczniki na scenie, kowbojskie kapelusze, bandany, koszule w kraty – wszystko świetnie wpisywało się ten żartobliwie potraktowany klimat country. Zespół dorzucił do tego swoje zdolności showmeńskie i kilka zabawnych historyjek. Tu chodziło przede wszystkim o dobrą rozrywkę i ten cel został w pełni osiągnięty. Widać było, że po obu stronach barierek wszyscy bawią się wyśmienicie :)

Trzeba przyznać, że Royalsi przyłożyli się do stworzenia kompletnie nowych wersji. Do swoich piosenek włączyli zupełnie nowe instrumenty. Od klawiszy, akordeonu czy banjo po rzadziej spotykane, jak np. gitarę rezofoniczną i melodykę. Być może do jednych kawałków te aranżacje pasowały lepiej niż do pozostałych, ale jako całość wszystkie wypadły świetnie.  

Zdecydowanie można powiedzieć, że występ Royal Republic and The Nosebreakers był ciekawym doświadczeniem. Myślę, że dla zespołu dobrze jest zrobić coś zupełnie innego oraz totalnie na luzie, żeby koncertowanie nie stało się monotonnym graniem wciąż tego samego. Dla fanów to także niezła odmiana i dobra zabawa. W końcu ile osób może powiedzieć, że tańczyło pogo do country? ;)

Another year started off with Royal Republic’s concert. But even though we’ve seen them a few times before, we were not sure what to expect from Royal Republic and The Nosebreakers. How would the new arrangements of old songs sound? Would they even have a chance for success?

It’s not uncommon for a band to release an acoustic album, make a series of such performances even.  But I don’t think that many groups would manage to pull off this kind of tour with success and so it wouldn’t seem lame. But these Swedes proved that they’ve got balls and went all in. Together with a few musician friends they completely rearranged their songs to versions varying from country to latino.

The whole show should be treated with a wink. Candles on the stage, cowboy hats, bandanas, plaid shirts – everything fit perfectly with this jokingly treated country atmosphere. The band also threw in their showmanship and a few funny stories. The whole performance was about having fun and that target was reached. It was clear that people on both sides of the bars were really enjoying themselves :)

We must admit that the Royals really worked on the new versions. They introduced entirely new instruments to their songs. From keyboards, an accordion and banjo to more rare, such as a resonator guitar and melodica. Maybe these arrangements went better with some songs and worse with the others, but the concert, as a whole, turned out great.

It can be said for a fact that Royal Republic and The Nosebreakers’ performance was an interesting experience. It’s good for a band to do something totally different and carefree so that playing gigs doesn’t become monotonous. And it’s a nice and funny change for the fans as well. In the end – how many people can say that they moshed to country music? ;) /N.

Już jutro ROYAL REPUBLIC and The Nosebreakers wystąpią w warszawskich Hybrydach! Ci Szwedzi chyba nas polubili, bo ostatnio dość często przyjeżdżają do Polski - i wzajemnie ;) Tym razem jednak będzie to ich akustyczna odsłona. Zapraszamy wszystkich, bilety wciąż dostępne. Widzimy się!
