Stockholm Metro: World’s Longest Art Exhibit

Kungsträdgården Station

Kungsträdgården, translated as ”Royal Garden” or ”The King’s Garden”, was opened in 1977. The station is a representation of the old French garden above. Kungsträdgården is one of Stockholm’s oldest public parks. Almost everything in the station represents the qualities of the site above the ground with its colors and drawings. Also, uniquely, the station is the only place in Northern Europe where the cave-dwelling spider (Lessertia dentichelis) can be found. The station is also the deepest of the Stockholm metro lines.

Gardner / Vicious Princess save me!

Save me, mornings taken in the rose garden. They are hard at work while she sips her tea. Trimming hedges, pruning, preening. Hands that are used to doing hard work with delicate things. Attention to detail. They watch her out of the corner of their eye while they tend the garden, and she watches them under the hot sun, under heavy rain.

The Aching!! Desperate longing. They arrange the prettiest of bouquets to be presented for her, left in her bed chambers. They deliver roses, petals plucked and pressed for baths or for fragrance. They take careful time, patience, and attention. Watching, keeping an eye. Being of service.

She loves watching them work, admiring the details, spends more and more time outdoors, spending time alone outside with just a lady in waiting. Staring from afar morphing into stolen touches over foliage. Exchanging words between rays of sun.

Poetry and letters left next to vases, skirts growing soiled from constant dragging through the grass and freshly planted flower beds.

They smell deep, like dark earth. She smells sweeter than an orchid.

They both know what the work is like. They know what being delicate with life is like- she knows how to maintain distance and lead without fear. She dreams of rugged hands, they dream of thighs soft as petals. Collision of worlds and technique coming together.

Them teaching her how to be careful with things. That others are worth caring for. Her teaching them how to be fearless, unafraid to take.

Taking apart a princess like you’re slowing taking apart the stem of the flower. Softening the thorns, trimming leaves, arranging her to be nothing but a bouquet for others to view, and admire.

what do basil and wendy have arguments about/ dislike about each other? No relationship is perfect :P

ofc! I like to think that WENDY and BASIL are super compatible because they are willing to be comfortable enough confront each other about anything.

however! Yes, they do argue SOMETIMES.

Starting with dislikes, I don’t really like calling them dislikes but just a few things that they note about each other. I imagined BASIL to be a tad bit possessive of WENDY because she was essentially the only other one at the MARI incident and that she takes time and effort to stay in touch with him, care for him, and just be there for him. He’s afraid to lose WENDY which doesn’t necessarily make her uncomfortable but very few times she feels a little trapped. Most times she likes that he likes her so much but it gets weird when he’s trying to keep her away even from KEL and SUNNY.

BASIL doesn’t like the way WENDY handles her issues. Like yes, they’re both spiraling in despair in their own way, but BASIL sees that WENDY suppresses those feelings and completely ignores herself, even when he tries to comfort her as she does with him. She cracks sometimes but it’s frustrating to see someone he cares about just ignoring herself yknow? He even noticed this before the MARI incident whenever she was sad. Though in those times, she was able to talk about it with him alone.

So arguments! I feel like throughout their entire relationship even before the MARI incident, they don’t argue. Again, I think they’re very compatible because they respect each other and confront freely. However, things pick up during the last 3 days before SUNNY’s move. BASIL and WENDY argue about SUNNY as WENDY feels obligated to be by his side when BASIL is sort of afraid of him. He feels that WENDY doesn’t have to be with him all the time. And she knows but it would feel wrong to leave him alone. We know what happens during that ending scene between BASIL and SUNNY! Truly in despair Fr. WENDY doesn’t think that BASIL should feel disdain for SUNNY but everyone’s emotions towards the whole ordeal are very twisted.

there are other smaller things like arguing about eating. I hc BASIL not wanting to eat a lot of the time and WENDY trying to get him to eat more so he can live.

There’s also a weird atmosphere whenever they try and talk about WENDY’s past.

there’s probably more that I can’t recall in the back of my mind but those are the major ones.
