Land Rover

This real estate photo looks like, "Greetings, from the first residential house on Mars."

And, it's a castle. 3bds, 2ba, 10,240 sq ft, $2.5m. 2006 build in Austin, NV.

I really hate the decor. The wallpaper is not my taste and this weird little alcove in the entrance hall looks funny.

Large dining room. Geesh, I wish people wouldn't wallpaper such big rooms, it's too much to take down. I wonder if the mannequin conveys.

And, then they have a large living room w/access to the deck. There's no scenery on this land except some bare mountains.

I love the stove. The cabinetry, not so much. Is there one room w/o wallpaper?

Large primary bedroom.

The ensuite is pretty big.

Here's an office/den. The interior is so farmhouse style, I forgot that it's a castle.

Here's a shower room. I like the sink.

Back here, a spiral staircase goes down to the basement.

You can keep your Mars Rovers in here.

And, from here, you can go to the saloon.

Okay, this is nice. Is the floor lifting?

There's a kitchenette, seating area, and large dining space.

Five Meters over Mars !

During the flight the Mars Helicopter hovered about 5 meters, or just over 16 feet, above the Jezero crater floor. Tips of Ingenuity's landing legs peek over the left and right edges in the camera's field of view.

Tracks visible near the upper right corner lead to the Perseverance Mars Rover, seen looking on from a distance at the top right edge of the frame.

Heavily Pregnant Private Detective Rover stalking his husband Scar because he was feeling suspicious about the late nights.

As he was about to confront Scar, instead of seeing a mistress, he saw a bloody massacre and the sudden scare causes his water to break, drawing Scar’s attention.

YES great idea!

TW: some very mild gore

Never in his life did Rover think he would be investigating his own husband. Scar had always been loyal to a fault, spoiling Rover, and going out of his way to prove just how much he loved him.

It felt unfair, that after everything, Rover found himself doubting his husband's fidelity. All of a sudden he was making excuses, going out late at night and coming back in the early morning hours.

Rover wasn't foolish. He'd seen it before.

A spouse falls pregnant and suddenly, they just aren't enough. Partners would begin seeking out sexual encounters to fulfill their "needs." Rover just....didn't think it would happen to him.

Then again, did anyone ever expect it to be "them"?

The last three months had been spent tracking Scar's movements, following his credit statements and watching as the proof wracked up. Hotels, always hotels. Some nice, some cheap, all of them leading to the same answer.

White knuckled, Rover grips the steering wheel with one hand, the other resting overtop his rounded belly.

He was due any day now, and his time was running out to confront Scar about his cheating. He needed to settle things before the birth, being a single parent would be easier than smiling through lies.

The hotel is rundown, the old woman behind the counter doesn't bat an eye as Rover waddles through the lobby and into the elevator. The trace he'd put on Scar's phone led him right to the door, and the old lock didn't put up any fight while Rover picked it.

It swings open silently and closes behind him,.

It's dark, only the TV is on, casting a dim, multi-colored shadow over everything. The bed is right in front of him, and he can see the curve of Scar's back over top of someone. Taking a step forward and opening his mouth to speak, his foot presses down onto something hard.

Blinking, he looks down.

An arm.

A pool of blood trailing from the spot he stood to the bed, chunks of flesh littering the way. Eyes going wide, Rover looks around, noticing the color on the wall wasn't from a poor choice in wallpaper, but long splatters of blood.

He sees Scar sit back onto his haunches, a knife glittering in the light of the TV as he brings it back down with a sticking squelch.

One hand swiftly comes to hold the underside of his belly, the other clamped over his mouth. Taking a step back, Rover feels his blood run cold as something hot and wet trickles down his thighs before bursting and splattering loudly onto the linoleum floor.

Scar's head whips around, eyes locking onto Rover's.

"Darling~" bile rises in his throat. The face looking at him was Scar, but it certainly wasn't his husband.

"Awww, baby, you made a mess, didn't you?" cooing, Scar climbs from the bed, tossing the bent knife onto the floor.

"S-S-Scar-Scar-why-wh-why-why?" a cold hand comes to rest on Rover's face. Scar rubs his thumb over his husband's cheek, smearing blood over the pale skin.

"Don't worry about it," a loveless kiss is pressed to Rover's lips, Scar's free hand coming to rub his contracting bump, "I'm very good at cleaning up messes...and it looks like our little one is eager to meet us~"
