Hi Rotomblr! My name is Cara, I go by she/her, and I'm a Pokémon trainer from Johto!! I'm not too used to this website so please forgive me for any mistakes. (Heck, Rotom weren't even discovered until well past my time, so all this new technology surrounding it kind of makes my head spin!)

It seems to be the standard to start by showing off your trainer card, but the League here refuses to let me renew mine, so you'll have to put up with my old one. ;-;

The Sneasel is Umbra, and the Murkrow is Edgar. My Horsea (Kheb) has long since evolved into a Kingdra, and I started training a Misdreavus (Banshee) a while back. It's a shame that I can't get them officially recognized, but I guess what can you do. Anyway, I'm excited to maybe make some new friends on here!!

Blanket warning for false abuse allegations, slander/libel, guilt tripping, manipulation, donation scams, and potentially bad parenting.

Monica is an OC made long ago who started as a one-off character and ended up becoming much, much more. She was a Team Rocket spy that dated a certain dragon tamer in order to gain information about the locations of protected pokemon. Her persona was a Beauty trainer named Reyna.

Needless to say, when her true identity was discovered, she was very lucky to have escaped with her life. She only survived because her mark couldn't just simply shake off the feelings he'd held for her.

She was warned, "Run. If I ever catch a hint of you anywhere near Kanto or Johto again, I won't be so kind next time."

She made a show of fleeing the twin regions, but she planned on reconnecting with Team Rocket again using another identity to reenter Kanto.

In the meantime, she discovered that she was pregnant. She decided that this was useful for conning people, and she continued to do what she did best: garnering sympathy, especially from men. When her son, Arturo, was old enough, she'd also taught him how to lie and steal so he would still be useful to her even when he would have "outgrown the cute phase".

She was a loyal member of Team Rocket — solely for the profit and power (and sense of security), of course — for years until its downfall during the story of HGSS.

Monica continues to con people. Old habits die hard, especially for someone who never intended to change in the first place.

She's lying about being in a region without free healthcare, about her son's health, and about her child's father.

Somehow, Monica was able to gain access to rotomblr (which wouldn't exist for a few more years in her universe). She'd already been running scams in chatrooms and forums, so she immediately took the opportunity to extend that practice here.

This blog takes place in the past of @xxhexfallennxx and @imaitheoneyourelookingfor circa 1999-2001, at the tail end of Team Rocket's failed revival.

Hello! I'm new here. I saw a few other Pokémon accounts on here and they all had introductions, so here's mine.

I'm a Pokémon in Unova working (and living) at a lab. My species and location are secret, at least for now. I don't want to get the lab in trouble. They study materials science, I help run experiments and edit their drafts.

Yes I work in a lab! But no I'm not qualified to help you with science or math, at all! The only things I know how to do here are follow instructions from the researchers, and correct their writing. I know what numbers are, and how to compare them, but nothing more! I can barely count with human numbers. I've caught on to some of the scientific topics they study, but only surface level. I am by no means an expert on anything related to materials science.

It can be somewhat boring at the lab since I live here full time, so I decided to finally make a Rotomblr account so I could participate in the random threads I stumble upon from other web sites. Pardon as I learn how to use the site and the local jargon.

This is a roleplay blog

Pokémon IRL blog if you couldn't tell. All posts/reblogs/etc. are in character unless specified.

The character (muse) doesn't really understand what fallers (characters from other worlds) or eebies (humans turned Pokémon) are, nor do they know what "alternate universes" are. You may interact, but they will assume you are from a different region in the case of fallers/alternate universe characters (like Mystery Dungeon Pokémon), or will generally be suspicious and confused if you claim to be an eeby.

The mail gimmicks are all disabled, since the muse is trying to lay low and not dox themself. No mailing items, dreams, no magic. I made the userboxes above, you can use them for whatever, no need to credit.

The character and I are both adults, some NSFW is fine but I don't intend on this blog being solely NSFW.

The blog will be set in somewhat of an alternate universe:

The games, anime, manga, and especially Pokédex will be considered unreliable propaganda.

The real world is much larger than is depicted in this propaganda, so there are many more cities in Unova than is depicted in the games or anime, for instance.

The vast majority of Pokémon are sapient (similar intelligence to humans) and can understand human speech if they spend enough time with them. This means that trained Pokémon by and large are able to understand their trainers almost entirely.

The converse is also true, humans can learn how to understand Pokémon, but this is rare, because;

Humans are prejudiced against Pokémon and human society does not afford them most rights.

As such there will be themes of systemic oppression throughout this blog.

Each Pokémon species has an entire set of languages much like how humans IRL have many different languages, but within a region most members of a given species speak mostly the same language, and in many cases multiple species may speak the same language.

Infamous Pokémon Poacher, Thief, and Terrorist Victoria Gonzap is now in witness protection in exchange for information on several different criminal organizations and constant serveilence check ins.

After being scorned by her remaining family, Victoria now struggles to return to the life of crime she tore down to appease her brother. Team Rocket still wants revenge, and Interpol still wants the information she can give.

She is loud, likes to start fights, and overall? A massive troll. Don’t believe everything she says, even if it’s not obvious that she’s lying.

Themes of Pokémon abuse, organized crime, and other associated topics are prevalent on the blog for plot reasons. If you don’t like my writing or what I write about, please just leave me alone.

Shadow Immunity - Immunity to Shadow based Pokémon moves and attacks.

Shadow absorption - Ability to absorb and utilize Shadow Energy from the environment and moves.

Shadow command - An inexplicable control over any Pokémon affected by Shadow Energy. Extends even to corrupted legendary Pokémon.

Amped Healing Factor - Due to bodily mutations and overexposure to Shadow Energy, wounds heal at an unprecedented rate.

Pain Dulling - Due to bodily mutations and overexposure to Shadow Energy, all pain is only felt at half of its usual intensity. Serious damage sustained is still just as deadly, though.

Weakness to Friendship - Especially susceptible to damage done by Return and similar techniques. Takes much longer to heal from friendship or cooperation based moves.

Weakness to Holy - Especially susceptible to damage done by blessed, holy, or light based techniques. Takes much longer to heal from these moves.
