Siesta
Everyone has their own events in live that they will never forget. Whether it is happy, sad, funny or whatever you think it is. I also have mine. And I would call it unusual.
I used to sleep on a banig laid on the concrete floor in the living room in the afternoon when we we're still in our former home in bulacan as part of my siesta when I was 10. I was having siesta that time when I was waken up by my sister shaking me. I was mad when she wake me up.
"Why did you wake me up!"
I saw in her eyes that she was worried but I do not know why and I didn't care because my sleep was interrupted. She said that she was just asking if I'm okay. I said I am. However, the next thing that she said left me frozen at the banig where I am sitting.
"I'm sorry. I'm just worried. You just suddenly get up in your banig while I am studying with your eyes closed, smiling and keep saying "He's right there behind you, smiling" while point your finger behind my back Then you suddely just fell with your face straight onto the floor."
I swear, I was sleeping soundly that time. I am not pranking her or something. Then I noticed, I was woken up by my sister with my head on the banig without a pillow and laying where my feet was before I complete fell into my sleep.

First time in Tumblr!!!!!
Wooooooohhoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So this is my first time in tumblr. The first time I hear about this is back in my elementary days (I am at senior high school right now). I had no plans on creating a blog or using tumblr. I only create an account for educational purposes (yeah really) but I guess it will be more than that ‘cause I think I will enjoy this. Good luck to me and Hello Tumblr.

Edith L. Tiempo (22 April 1919 -21 August 2011) is one of the great filipino canonical authors in the Philippines and national artists on literature who is morally profound and produced works who left an impact to the society.
She was a a famous poet, fiction writer, teacher, literary critic and a Filipino writer in the English language. Her language in her works were always marked as"descriptive but unburdened by scrupulous detailing."
I remember when I was just starting to be a bookworm. I was only reading tons of teen fictions, romance and horror. I don't care really read literary works from really well-known Filipino authors. I was so addicted with fictional electronic books written by foreign authors back then.
Well, everyone who is a reader always has preferences when it comes to literary works and I came into the point where I want to read something new. Not literally new like new published books but something out of the box. Something that is new to my sight. Something that I do not usually read. And that is the start of my journey for searching for new genres of literary works for me to read. I have bumped to different writers however I did not get the satisfaction that I want.
Tiempo is the author that brought me to read more and enhance my skill in analyzing. She is one of my inspirations why I want to be a writer (because I known in myselt that I am a frustrated writer).
Then one day, I saw the name Edith L. Tiempo. At first, I was not really interested to her works but curiosity hits me. The poem "Bonsai" was the first one. I read romance and love and this one challenged my analyzing skill. I had to read it a multiple times before I completely understand it. That poem was about love of a mother and how this love is passed to her daughter, not a the lover to lover cliché.
The line “To a cupped hand’s size” in the poem is the most memorable one for me. It thought me that the love can be given or received. And and like a bonsai, love can be passed to generations and generations.
Since then I have read more works of hers. I also started wanting to learn how to write like a professional author.  I read more and more works of her and the other filipino authors. I always look for the pdf files of their works since I have no money to buy hardcopies.
Tiempo is the author that brought me to read more and enhance my skill in analyzing. She is one of my inspirations why I want to be a writer (because I known in myselt that I am a frustrated writer).
Although it is too late to be a fan because I became a fan when she is already dead and I am now a senior high school student. Edith L. Tiempo will always be remembered for me as the person who brought me to the world of bookworms and I am always glad that it happened.
