Little something I really wanted to draw in full.

Because Unity is afraid of Raph's body but I really wanted to make her interact with this big boy, so I think it's a good idea. She's curious and he knows something she didn't. Everything is in place!

Risetober 2024 Day 1: Unicorn

We ALL know Leo would go cowboy mode when riding a unicorn.

But with my rise/pokemon au bc Im obsessed rn. I saw everyone drawing unicorns and a rare moment of inspiration struck. Wartortle!Leo riding a galarian rapidash. And now, not even 24 hrs later, he’s become his own character. His name is Prince. He’s a complete diva, sassy, hates to lose, and doesn’t trust or listen to anyone outside of leo (who worked incredibly hard to gain his respect). Hoping to do more of these prompts!

Imagine little Leo having trouble sleeping so he ends up watching tv and movies with Splinter to pass the time. Splinter often just passes out in his chair, but Leo likes the company anyway.

One day, Leo’s rifling through the movies his dad brought back for them (usually 70s and 80s stuff - Splinter has a bias) and he gasps.

Leo runs over to Splinter and holds up a copy of The Last Unicorn, begging that they watch it that night.

Splinter remembers absolutely nothing about the movie, but hey it’s got a unicorn and it’s animated so it’s gotta be fine, right? So he turns the movie on and passes out near immediately.

He’s woken up roughly an hour and a half later by Leo climbing up onto his chair and sobbing hysterically into his chest.

The movie is now one of Leo’s favorites.

Ok, so this is very random, the inspiration kinda jumped me. 😅

If anyone wants to know the funny, but long story behind it I put it under the cut alongside with an alternative version.

So, story time!

Basically me and my fam ( We are prety much the found family trope. I have a little sister [adopted] and a little cousin [ also adopted by my family so he's like my little brother now] + 7 of my friends living with me.) held Mall Tour Day. ( We like to party so we have a bunch of made up holidays especialy during summer.) During this "holiday" we wake up extra early and travel to the capital to explore/shopp in either weird and our favoire malls.

But a few days before we went, I hurt my leg ( and my arm but that's not important in the story) in a pretty bad chool fight. It's nothing serious , and I told the fam I can walk, but they (especially my childhood best friend nicknamed RAT [ Don't ask why we call the guy that, they likes cheese to mutch and he lives in my garage]) insisted that I can't. So I told them: "Then how am I supposed to walk trough half the capital?" And RAT was like : " I'll carry you Bitch!" ( Bitch used verry affectionately.)

And then they did. Godness gracious from 6 in the morning till 10 at the evening I was princess carried trough like 8 mall.

Anyways we was going trough our last stop. The Mall that only sells Christmas decoration ( It's the middle of june, there is 30° outside, we are walking around in tanktops and shorts and other heatwave clothes. It was trippy!) And my little cousin was sleepy ( Welp, he's a 7 years old and he was up walking what like 16 hours? Even for a hyper child that tuckers them out.) so he climbed in my lap and fallen asleep on the spot. And RAT stuck carrying the both of us. " Heh! Eat wast you cooked dumbass!" (Again very lovingly.)

Now the pic about the mall in the backround of the art is made in the actuall Christmas mall. And the pose is the exact pose RAT, me and my lil cousin were in.

As for the idea of drawind the Disater twins and Mikey in that position.... It's kinda an inside joke in our friend group, but RAT and I are ofen being jokingly called Disater twins. Partially because I am a medical student so there goes Leo being the medic status, and RAT is the tech/handiman of the group. ( Sure he won't invent sentient AIs, hopefully, they're not that smart, but hey if the guy can fix our fridge it's close enoug for us.) Not to mention that appernatly we were born on the exact same day, our mothers even shared a Hospital room. 🤣

And for Mikey, literally both my litle sister and little cousin has Mikey vibes. My sister is an artist and cooks, my little cousin is hyper and cheery. So it seemed fit to make him a Mikey.

Anyways, that's the whole story behind the art, if anyone was curious.😊

I am once again reiterating that Leo could and should be a figure skater because what are ice skates if not twin blades? What is dual blade swordsmanship if not a dance-like performance? Using the skates as blades themselves could let Leo make portals be his ice rink no? I rest my case. ⛸️

Leo was giddy, practically buzzing with excitement when he knocked on your door. He was bouncing on his heels, a huge smile on his face. You knew he was nervous, but his excitement was taking over.

You open your door, grinning at him. “Are you excited?”

He nodded excitedly. “Of course!” He stepped in the door and gave you a hug, spinning you around once. “I get to introduce my magically lovely girlfriend to the rest of my family!”

He was oozing with happiness.

You giggled while he was spinning you around, and when he put you back down you pecked him on the cheek. He ran his hand through your hair. You smelled like sweet candy.

You were a unicorn. A beautiful, dashing, magical, amazing unicorn. A perfect mixture of human and unicorn, something Leo could have only dreamed of before he met you… And you were his. His. The absolute girl of his dreams… Literally!

Leo just couldn’t stop grinning.

“You're not nervous at all?” You say in between giggles, holding his hands.

He nodded. “I’m completely nervous! But I know that they will love you! Who wouldn’t?” He said, nuzzling his nose against your cheek.

You giggled again, blushing.

“Then we better get going!” You said, bubbling with happiness.

Leo’s eyes lit up even more, if that was even possible at this point. Leo let go of your hands, holding out his arm. You grinned, accepting his offer and holding his arm.

You felt like an absolute princess, walking down the hall to the door with your prince charming.

The walk to the layer was a little messy, but Leo made sure to take the cleanest path through the sewers so you two wouldn’t smell like sewage by the time you made it there.

Once in the layer, you two were immediately greeted by his family.

Leo had told you so much about them already, you already knew who was who.

Mikey seemed ecstatic, he was waiting for you guys to get here. He was bouncing on his heels.

“Y/n! Is that you??” He beamed, walking over to you two.

You nod happily, grinning. “Yeah! You're Mikey right?”

Mikey’s eyes lit up when you knew his name. “Yes! I’m Mikey!!”

Leo grinned proudly, and turned to wave to his other brothers as they came in.

Donnie’s eyes widened when he came in, and Raph’s jaw dropped.

“She’s… Actually a unicorn??” Donnie smiled, seeming astonished.

You giggle, still holding Leo’s arm.

“Yep! I wasn’t lying,” Leo beamed.

Raph seemed really happy. “Nice to meet you Y/n! I’m Raph! And this is Donnie!”

You grinned, waving at them. “Nice to officially meet you both!”

Donnie gave Leo a smirk that said, ‘Prepare to be made fun of’.

“We should make some pizza!” Mikey bounced. “Do you like pizza Y/n??”

You nod. “I love pizza!!”

Mikey bounced his way into the kitchen as everyone else followed him.

Donnie put a hand on Leo’s shoulder. “When you said you were gonna have a unicorn for a girlfriend when you were 6, I thought you were joking!”

Leo blushed bright red. “Donnie!” He laughed. “I told you I would one day.”

Raph could tell Donnie was about to keep teasing him, so Raph changed the subject.

“So Y/n, you two met in the mystic city, right? That’s what Leo mentioned,” Raph said.

“What didn’t he mention?” Donnie smirked.

Leo blushed and gave a look to his brother, but he couldn’t stop smiling. It made him look like a child pretending to be mad.

You chuckled. “Yes, we met at Run of the Mill Pizza, Hueso brought him over to me…”

Leo blushed and chuckled. “I guess I just talked about Unicorns to him more than I thought.”

The others laughed.

By the time that you all made it into the kitchen, Mikey was pulling some pizza’s he had already been cooking out of the oven. He probably guessed that if you were Leo’s girlfriend, you liked pizza.

You all ate pizza and laughed, the conversations traveling to moments in the brother’s childhoods.

Leo and Mikey had been laughing hard, and you would chuckle at the storys as well. Raph was smiling at everyone getting along splendidly, and Donnie smirked at Leo after each embarrassing story.

Donnie faced you.

“I have a question…”

You raised your eyebrows. “What is it?”

Donnie couldn’t hold back a smirk. “Does Leo still have his unicorn plushie? What was its name Leo? Taffy Face or something?”

Leo blushed. “Donnieee!” He complained, holding out the ‘e’, then muttered. “Her name was Taffy Pants…”

You laughed, and so did his brothers.

“You used to carry that thing everywhere!” Raph chuckled.

Leo blushed even more. “Guys!”

You giggled at his blushing red face. “To answer your question Donnie, yes, he does still have Taffy, she’s sitting on my bookshelf.”

The others laughed and Leo blushed, smiling and very embarrassed.

The whole night was nice, pizza, games, and embarrassing stories about everyone. Even though it was almost midnight by the time you had to go home, it still seemed like the visit was too short.

“Alright guys, I’ll walk Y/n home and be back in a bit,” He smiled, taking your hand gently. You hold his hand happily.

His brothers nodded, and Mikey was already half asleep on the couch.

You smiled as you left the lair.

“That was so much fun!” You announce giddily, hopping slightly.

Leo grinned. “Yeah it was! I think my brothers like you!”

“Yay! I need to come over here more often,” You say, squeezing his hand. He squeezed yours back, grinning like a middle schooler who was given a rose on Valentine's day.

When you made it back to your house, you hugged Leo goodbye.

“You really think they like me?” You asked, smiling.

Leo nodded. “Oh they definitely liked you… I just hope they don’t like you too much, I want you all to myself,” Leo smirked, then quickly kissed your cheek several times.

You blushed, giggling. “Leo!”
