so we saw one of swanatello's good days . . . how do the bad days go? :eyes: don't mind me i feed on angst~

Swanatello is Guardian of The Lake and is extremely territorial and protective. The brothers have to take turns and visit him one at a time-- if they approach as a group, Swanatello will quickly grow defensive and view them as a threat. They've learned by now that if he's not able to recognize them, the best thing to do is back off and try again tomorrow.

... Mostly learned, anyway.

(The next time Leo's able to visit properly, Donnie will worriedly ask him what happened to his wrist.)

Spirits above, the Winx Club idea though.

Every time I rewatch the Nickelodeon clip of the turtles unlocking their Ninpō, my brain incessantly screams "MAGICAL GIRL TRANSFORMATION".

The idea of the turtles having a Winx/magical girl-esque transformation haunts me. I like to imagine they would incorporate their weapons and Ninpō into the transformation sequence, while the beginning notes and the chorus of Seventeen's Hitorijanai plays in the background in place of the Winx songs to tie into the Hamato Clan's motto.

I have a very elaborate animatic (transitions and everything!) playing out in my head right now and it is at times like this that I truly lament my utter inability to draw.

Many things have popped in my head today in regards to ROTTMNT ideas for AUs of which I feel the need to share simply because I want to.

1. I imagined a ROTTMNT x Winx Crossover AU and I just found it as one of the funniest things I have ever imagined. I don't know what would be sillier, the turtles having Winx transformations (I REALLY WANNA DRAW THAT (and while I know guys don't have transformations I find the concept of them having one as too good to pass up)) or them simply just being transported there and proceed to cause chaos with their mystic mojo.

2. I also imagined a ROTTMNT x Psychonauts Crossover AU which is fascinating in it's own right. The psychic shenanigans they'd get up to OMG. If they were from that world originally and their ninpo was a sort of passed down psychic power it would be quite interesting. I imagine when they are found out after a mission to check the strange activity that went on in New York due to constant tips, the agents would be very weary of them due to the whole Grulovia thing. If they have been transported there however, it would be funny to just have them end up at either Whispering Rock or the Middle of the Mother Lobe (or the surrounding area). Everyone would freak out because "OMG THEY ARE GIANT TURTLES" and they'd be like "Chill, we aren't gonna hurt ya, we just need to get back to our own dimension because of mystic hijinks" leaving everyone even more confused.

And

3. ROTTMNT characters dancing the Waltz or Ballet (mainly Donnie and Leo), simply because I was listening to Waltzes and think it would be neat to see them do that.

It's your lucky day! I have been motivated to post and you guys get two post this month, shocker I know.

I have somehow gotten dragged into the TMNT fandom again and decided to do a Rottmnt Leo spread!

And in case you missed it, I drew Donnie from two different Au's that I recently got invested in.

Top one is Swanatello by @tangledinink , which is an au where Donnie gets magical girl-ified! :D

Bottom one is from the fanfic Open your shell to find your wings by @onejellyfishplease , where Donnie gets double mutated! :0

I hope I've done both of these creators justice, and please go check them out and give their AUs some love!

ROTTMNT Pretear AU

When April activates an antique turtle compact, or Turtapact, she unleashes four elementals she can fuse with to gain their powers and help save the world from the Princess of Disasters, Cassandra!

But she soon falls in love with one of them, and loving an elemental is strictly forbidden, as it leads to its own disaster!

Will April and the water elemental, Donnie, find true love, or are they doomed like the Pretear before her?!

Have some random blarghhh thoughts about this:

Okay, so this scene specifically is the boys coming out after being trapped in the Turtapact, so they energy-based and temporarily look like genies, i guess? The plan is that they do get legs once they reform properly.

On the romance, Donnie is standoffish bc he knows the risks of falling in love, so he's very on-again/off-again with his affections. April feels like she's being jerked around, and he's hiding his thoughts from her when they fuse, and she finally confronts him. And thats when all heck breaks loose and while feelings are running high, Cassandra is forced by Shredder into her final form to destroy the world.

April has to fuse with all four of them together to defeat her. But it's not force that defeats her. April has to convince Donnie to tell the world he loves her, and only with all of them aligned, hearts as one, do they give April the power to ascend to her final form and she can cure Cass.

Also, one of the cool things about the Pretear show that would really work for April and the turtles is that whomever she'd fuse with to use their powers, acts as a Mind-Raph backseat driver/ghost over her shoulder, so you could imagine the dynamic between Donnie and April. Him trying to guide her moves, whisper in her ear, critiquing her technique, and saying stuff like "thats not how you use that power!!" And her trying to get him to shut up bc she's trying to concentrate on fighting.

Raph is the one who falls in love with the Princess of Disasters, who's Cassandra taking the role of Mawata. The spirit of the Shredder is poisoning her mind to become evil and ehhh its a bit like Rue from Princess Tutu and she transforms into a dark magical girl to fight April. Raph is trying to convince her to be good, but she's being gaslit into thinking no one cares about her.

Also this is April's 'blank' outfit, which morphs when she fuses with one of the boys to look more like them/their style in order to use their powers.

Anyway, I might make full models of the different variant dresses, the turtles' full outfits, and what Cass looks like. So stay tuned.
