"A forest cottage." Character B's breath hitched and their exhale wheezed in a way that didn't bode well. "Somewhere in the mountains."

A carefully kept their face calm as they wiped away the drop of blood that had escaped the corner of B's mouth. "You don't want a castle or a mansion somewhere?"

"Why would I?" B smiled up at A, accidentally showing off their bloodstained teeth. "The only person... I need to share it with... is you."

A smiled back tremulously and did their best to blink the tears out of their eyes. "I'll hold you to it," they warned. "No weaseling out of it. We're getting out of here and finding a cottage."

Character B's eyes were growing more distant and their every breath seemed to pain them, but there was still a gentle smile about their lips. "With vines... and roses."

"Big pine trees," Character A added. The tears were now openly streaming down their face.

"An' a... big tree swing...."

A brushed their hand through B's hair again and did their best to avoid looking at the jagged piece of metal sticking out of B's side. "What should we plant in the garden?"

Character B did not reply.

"B?"

B's eyes had drifted shut and their face had gone lax, the smile gone. Suddenly, their wheezy breaths stopped completely, and the world went all too still.

"No, no, nonono..." A shook B's shoulders gently to no response. "B! You can't do this! You promised!" They stopped trying to shake B and instead sunk their forehead onto B's still chest. Their voice was little more than a whisper when they sobbed out, "You promised."

How to write smut ?

writing smut depends on each person's writing style but i think there's something so gut-wrenchingly beautiful about smut when it's not very graphic and vivid. like., would this turn on a reader more?

"he kissed her, pulling her body closer to him."

or this?

"His lips felt so familiar it hurt her heart. His breathing had become more strained; his muscles tensed. She let herself sink into his embrace as his hands flattened against her spine. He drew her closer."

(Before proceeding further, these are all "in my opinion" what I think would make it better. Apply parts of the advice you like and neglect the aspects you do not agree with it. Once again I'm not saying you have to follow a certain type of style to write smut! Creative freedom exists for a reason!)

One may like either the top or the bottom one better, but it totally depends on your writing to make it work. Neither is bad, but the second example is more flattering, talking literally. (Here is me an year after writing this post, i think, either is amazing, depending on the context. the type of book you're writing, your writing style and preferences!)

express one's sensory feelings, and the readers will automatically know what's happening.

writing, "her walls clenched against him, her breath hitching with his every thrust" is better than writing, "she was about to cum".

(edit: once again, hi, it's me. Either is amazing depending on ur writing style. Everything at the end is about taste.)

here are some vocabulary you can introduce in your writing:

holding hips, guiding the one on top, moving aimlessly, mindlessly, sounds they make turn insanely beautiful, sinful to listen to

some adverbs to use: desperately, hurriedly, knowingly, teasingly, tauntingly, aimlessly, shamelessly, breathlessly, passionately, delicately, hungrily

he sighed with pleasure

her skin flushed

he shuddered when her body moved against his

he planted kisses along her jawline

her lips turned red, messy, kissed and flushed.

his hands were on his hair, pulling him.

+ mention the position, how they're being moved around---are they face down, kneeling, or standing, or on top or on bottom--it's really helpful to give a clear picture.

+ use lustful talk, slow seduction, teasing touches, erratic breathing, give the readers all while also giving them nothing. make them yearn but DO NOT PROLONG IT.

i love the idea of Simon sending you pics of bones; dead animals, lumps of dirt or leaves or a sheet that kinda looks like a buried body; a blurry image of a deer standing frozen outside of his windshield, an empty lot, a dilapidated, overgrown house; a shaky image of an angel on a tombstone, a field, and just captioning each one with "made me think of you" and nothing else.

and of course it keeps you up all night wondering what he means by that. is it a threat? why is a dead deer in the woods making him think of you? why does he keep giving you little figures whittled into what is obviously bone (and a piece of a gravestone that's been chiselled into the lumpy shape of a heart).

this is crazy. he's insane. you should call someone. immediately.

but unfortunately for you, it's not like you could even bother getting a restraining order on him—if you think a piece of paper is enough to keep him away, then he'll just uno reverse and get a marriage certificate instead. problem solved.
