Okay so a lot of the Bayverse designs, especially the later ones where they were trying to make them overly human do nothing for me....The lack of visible kibble kinda makes them fundamentally bad Transformers, even if they're good Sci-fi robots.

That being said.

MetaGate made a third part AoE Drift triple changer, with the helicopter mode from that one scene....And now they're remoulded it into Bludgeon, which is actually fucking inspired.

Because Bludgeon's most iconic design is his Pretender Shell....So it never had any kibble to start with.

Yes his full legal name starts with autobot, same thing for a few other characters, who knows maybe they changed it to be more uhh patriotic ? If thats the right word?

This does raise the question tho, how come theres a samurai on cybertron? and ninjas for that matter? for this verse all those guys are terrans, like from earthspark they were all born here on earth during those respective time periods and only later learn of their cybertronian origins

Arcane and Blue Eye Samurai compete for the best animated series I've ever seen, of all time, and they're both ongoing. That's wild. What gorgeous animation. Scavengers Reign is a wonderful sci-fi series that's actually original, and I'm sad to say that's a rarity. It shouldn't be! I'll let you discover the rest. Just a reminder that Love Death + Robots is an anthology, and as usually this entails hits and misses. But the hits are SO good.

Other good series that are not groundbreaking or anything in terms of animation (which is generally on purpose: most of them aim to emulate a specific established style, and succeed), but they still get the job done, and are fun to watch:

Castlevania (and Castlevania: Nocturne)

Star Trek: Lower Decks

Invincible

The Legend of Vox Machina

Dragon Age: Absolution
