I wrote a little something, because I can't stand the current situation with Aaron. I don't usually share what I write, but here it goes.
Aaron's been pushing it aside, rather successfully, for months now. It's nothing in the grand scheme of things really, some shared dna markers and a last name. It doesn't affect him in their daily life together, at least it hasn't so far.
The first time it does affect him though, it hits him like a smack across the face. Actually, he would have much preferred a literal smack.
John's taken him out, wants to treat him, and Aaron's reluctantly agreed. It turns out it's that bloody Italian restaurant near the hospital in Hotten and suddenly he's having vivid war flashbacks of Dr. Alex. Aaron regrets the analogy off the bat, John is the one who's been to war and has both emotional and actual scars to prove it. Still, Aaron can't shake the images of the doctor with the perfect hair and how close he had come to cheating on him... with Robert.
The thing is, Robert can't be on his mind now, he just can't. Not that he ever can, but especially not now, when he's about to be wined and dined by John. Pull yourself together, he tells himself and attempts a faint smile when his boyfriend looks at him.
That's when the smack across the face blindsides him. He hears John say they have a reservation under 'Sugden' and it's like Aaron realises, for the first time, what it means. What he's actually been doing. He feels a bit sick, suddenly the collar of his shirt is too tight, and he can feel the colour is draining from his face. He doesn't hear John anymore, all he hears is a medley of "Mr. Sugden" and "Mr. Dingle" and "I love you, Mr. Sugden-Dingle first" and it's fucking heartbreaking.
'I have to go', he hears himself say in a voice he doesn't even recognise as his own. John just looks at him with wide eyes and an open mouth. Aaron takes off but not before John tries to grab his arm to stop him. Aaron shakes himself free, and mutters 'sorry' under his breath. He's tearing up and he knows he's making a scene, but he runs for the door anyway. The cold December air that hits him makes it even harder to breathe for a second or two, but being outside still helps. Being on his own helps too.
Aaron starts walking, hands in his pockets, eyes already red from crying. He hasn't cried about Robert in a long time, he doesn't even know how to anymore. He's locked Robert away, ironically, in a place that's almost unreachable. He's done it with Jackson, Ben and Liv too, but not quite in the same way. It's okay to grieve them, people understand when he needs to do that. They're all gone - Robert is too but in another, more dangerous, way. The others can't come back, but Robert can.
Given what Aaron knows about Robert, he will come back, because where else would he go? To find Seb, sure, but then? He'll come home. It might not even be that long, Aaron realises. Five years have already passed. It feels like twenty.
He feels the guilt creep up when he dares to actually think about it. Robert coming back to the village where he was born, became a dad himself, got married. Only to find his ex-husband living with his new half brother. It doesn't matter how angry Aaron still is, or how hurt he was about being blanked and divorced. What he's been doing with John suddenly feels wrong in every way. How could he have let it go so far? Why hasn't the people around him questioned it more?
His brisk pace has taken him halfway home. He feels sick again when he sees the lay-by coming up in front of him. Where he was with John wasn't exactly here, but it was close enough. Aaron stops in his tracks and wipes his eyes. He sees it now, what he should have seen all along; the lay-by, the barn, the woods... He's been living in deja-vu mode without even noticing. Has he been projecting his feelings onto John? Or is something more sinister brewing beneath the surface?
Well, whatever it is, it stops now, Aaron decides. He takes a deep breath and as he starts walking again, his mind feels clearer than it's been in a long time.

Yours Truly, Romeo
Chapter 5 __ Paris
Tumblr media
Spencer Reid x FOC
Summary: Washington, DC - A string of grizzly murders and obsessive love letters causes Olivia and Spencer’s paths to intertwine. With a serial killer proclaiming his undying devotion to her and the thick tension surrounding her and her agent turned bodyguard, Olivia’s life is writing out like a contemporary love story that she, as a successful writer, could see herself publishing.
previous chapter || series masterlist || next chapter
Tumblr media
“Condemned villain, I do apprehend thee.” - Act 5, Scene 3. Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare
As Spencer drove off earlier that same day, the remaining two members of the team—the steely unit chief and the specialist in obsessive crimes did just the same. They headed to Random House Washington, Olivia’s publishing label, to interview her agent for possible matches to their profile.
“Ms Amanda Miller, we’d like to ask questions regarding male personnels at your office,” Agent Hotchner stated as he pulled out his FBI credentials. “The man we are looking for doesn’t stand out in a crowd. He’s introverted and shy when it comes to approaching his female counterparts.”
“You described almost all of the men who work for the publishing,” the publicist lightly scoffed. “The publishing industry is filled with introverts, Agent Hotchner.”
“He may be quiet but there’s something about this man that seems off-putting. Something that puts the women on edge,” Morgan explained further as he observed the employees around the office.
“Uhm—there are maybe seven men working in this office that our female employees tend to avoid alone—something they tell newly hires, nothing untoward had ever happened though,” she grabbed a piece of paper and started scribbling down their names and company positions. Once done, she reached out to hand it over to Hotch. “Here you go.”
“Thank you. By any chance, is Ms. Hollie Taylor currently in the office? We’d like to ask for her own observations.”
Her black office chair swiveled to face the computer for access to the company log in and she shook her head. “No, she’s scheduled to work from home today.”
Thanking her again for her time, the duo exited the premises and drove towards Ms. Taylor’s residence which was a thirty minute drive.
The dark skinned agent, seating on the passenger seat, dialed Garcia as the ex-prosecutor turned right to on the intersection. “Hey Sugar, I need you to run background checks for me.”
“That’s easy work, Hot Stuff. Tell me their names and I can even tell you their last grocery purchase.”
He smiled as he listed off the names written on the piece of paper.
Before long, the SUV pulled into a stop in front of the red bricked apartment. Both FBI agents exited the government issued vehicle and entered the building, flashing their badges to the security personnel, and rode the elevator up to the 11th floor.
“Ms. Hollie Taylor, I’m SSA Aaron Hotchner and this is SSA Derek Morgan. We’re with the FBI, Behavioral Analysis Unit,” the stern unit chief spieled out once more. “We’d like to ask you some questions regarding Ms. Olivia Hill.”
The brunette haired woman gestured for them to come in. “Call me Hollie, please. How can I be of help?”
“We’d like to ask you about your male colleagues in relation to Ms. Hill’s stalking case. Do any of them stand out to you?”
Morgan added on. “Did any of them flirt with her? Try to ask her out on a date?”
She wrapped her arms around her body, clearly intimidated by the presence of two imposing agents in her home. “Not that I know of. Olivia rarely comes in to the office—only there for urgent meetings regarding new book ideas or promotional book signings prepared by the marketing team. The only male colleagues that she has contact with on a daily basis is Robert, Amanda’s assistant, and Elijah, her senior cover illustrator—”
Her voice drifted off into silence as her brows knitted together in thought before continuing. “We did have a new junior illustrator come in recently—the team met him once since the management wanted to get him on board working with romance writers. Nothing untoward happened but he did seem a little bit flirty with her but he went AWOL after that first week so I’m not sure if that’s much of a help.”
That piqued their interest. “Is his name perhaps Ian Cromwell?”
She nodded her head slowly, a slight furrow on her eyebrows, confused as to why his name had already been known. “Yes—yes that’s right. How’d you know?”
Morgan shared a look with Hotch, not keen on informing her the reason as to why his name has been brought up. Ian Cromwell was the third body found floating in Maryland—he possibly had a connection with the unsub. The latter subtly tilted his head to the side as if to silently instruct Morgan to wrap up the interview.
“He’s not the stalker, is he? I mean, Olivia met him once and never interacted with him again,” she questioned, the silence further rattling her nerves. “Right?”
“Thank you for your time, Hollie. If there’s anything else you remember—anything at all, give us a call,” Morgan said as he handed his card and hastily exited the apartment.
———
The sun was beginning to settle on the horizon when they arrived back at the station.
“There’s got to be some type of connection there, Hotch,” he said closing the passenger door with a thud.
Rounding around the vehicle and pushing the precinct door open allowing themselves inside as the cool air blasted around them. “I agree, Morgan. Call up Reid and tell him to—”
Hotch cut himself off when he noticed an unopened white envelope with the letter cutouts that spelled ‘For the FBI’ on the meeting room table where their case papers and images were situated. He brought out his own set of latex gloves from his pocket and quickly picked it up, walking up to a nearby man in uniform. “Who delivered this?”
The officer’s eyes widened as he stuttered to explain. “It—It was found taped on one of the police cars situated at the end of the parking lot. We checked surveillance cameras but that area is hidden by the trees and—and we also ran prints but there was none.”
Hotch deeply sighed, clearly frustrated with not being kept in the loop with the happenings in their own backyard, and dismissed the man in front of him. He returned to the conference room where Morgan stayed behind. Curious as to what had rattled his unit chief, he peeked at the envelope, catching the address, and his eyes widened. “That’s pretty ballsy of the unsub to deliver it here, a deviation from our profile.”
“He’s devolving. Something we did that disturbed his fantasy with Ms. Hill,” Hotch commented before carefully cutting the envelope and pulling out two letters inside. The first was a type written line from Romeo & Juliet.
“I must indeed, and therefore came I hither. Good gentle youth, tempt not a desperate man. Fly hence and leave me. Think upon these gone. Let them affright thee. I beseech thee, youth, Put not another sin upon my head By urging me to fury. O, be gone!”
“Wilt thou provoke me? Then have at thee, boy!” - Romeo. Act 5, Scene 3
Derek scratched his forehead, silently wishing that Spencer was nearby to translate the lines into modern English. The other flipped to the second page that contained magazine letter cutouts, similar to his first and second letters to Olivia.
You have provoked my blood coated hands.
No longer must Paris be and come in between me and my beloved Juliet.
He has been struck I tell you. Struck!
The two agents exchanged stares before bolting out the station and swerving out of the parking lot without so much of a word uttered.
Ring. Ring. Ring. Your call has been forwarded to an automatic voice message system—
Derek noticed the way his unit chief’s knuckles turned white as he gripped the steering wheel tighter and tighter with every unanswered call. The surrounding lights dashing past the SUV faster as he stepped on the gas further.
“Garcia, I need you to track Reid’s number for me now,” Morgan urged on the phone without any pleasantries.
Having heard the frustration laced with concern from his voice, she typed on her keyboard quickly without a quip back to lighten the mood. “His phone last pinged on Olivia’s residence. I also tracked her phone and it says that she’s also within the premises.”
He hung up and cursed under his breath before redialing and painfully hoping for Reid to pick up. The tension inside the vehicle increasing with every automated message. He swore again, wishing he should have gone with him instead and that the boy genius was alright.
———
“FBI!” Hotch shouted as he entered the unlatched front entryway with Morgan right behind. They continued moving forward in darkness with just their flashlights illuminating the way, checking every area, until they reached the staircase landing. The ex-prosecutor pointed upwards with his gun indicating to his team member that’ll he’ll take the upstairs while the other continues the search downstairs.
Derek nodded once before progressing on inwards on the first floor. He rounded every room with his flashlight darting to every corner looking for any sign of Spencer and Olivia. As he entered the kitchen, a pair of distressed black Converse were caught peeking behind the counter near the ajar pantry door. It was Pretty Boy, lying face down, unresponsive.
“Reid, Reid!” Morgan rolled him over to check for any bleeding, breathing a slight sigh of relief having spotted none. “Hotch, Hotch! He’s here!”
Reaching over to where his phone was clipped on his belt, he called for an ambulance and indicated that there was an agent down at their location. Bruises were starting to form near Spencer’s temple possibly from a blunt force object to the head and an empty syringe lying nearby—the unsub was getting sloppy, leaving such evidence that may contain prints at a crime scene.
As Hotch rounded the corner with the paramedics seconds behind him, there were two things they concluded that were unaccounted for. The first was Spencer’s standard issue gun and the second was Olivia Hill herself.

I feel like I'm good at mostly ignoring this story until I catch up on the show and then I have to rant about it so....
the rant...
Obviously the premise of this story was already bad from the conception of John as a character. It was already kind of lazy and one single character was not going to rebuild the Sugden family anyway.
But every decision they've made since that character conception has been more baffling than the next really.
Because they could have just told a straightforward story about Vic finding a long lost Sugden brother and him coming to the village and getting to know Vic and Harry and Sarah and meeting Aaron and them trauma bonding over his army past and them getting together after that even though the Robert of it all is weird and maybe causes some surface level angst because god forbid they actually do anything with that.
And like...that would have been pretty dull and boring but it would have been a vaguely functional story.
Instead, they've been promoting this story like it's this big A story with Aaron sleeping with his ex husband's brother and being seduced by the Sugden charm and having sizzling passion overtake them all the time etc etc. And then on screen they're always like the D story and half the time you wouldn't even know what the scenes are trying to get across if you hadn't read the spoilers.
And then they keep missing out on actual story by going surface level with any of the Robert mentions, by not giving anyone any kind of motivations realistic or otherwise and constantly undercutting any potential drama before it even happens.
They've paralleled a bunch of random Robron affair scenes for no apparent reason other than to vaguely remind the viewers of Robert and Robron cause they want it to be dramatic but then it's not in the actual story and because they think that's all it takes to sell a romance story for Aaron? Unclear.
They've really done very little with the Robert mentions other than get them in there so they can put his name in magazines. But Aaron seems to have gotten over it all very quickly around the time John "kissaulted" him in the barn.
Their entire relationship thus far is based on sex. They've never even tried to have a conversation about anything else. Certainly not on screen. Aaron appears to have feelings according to the spoilers but we've seen very little evidence of it on screen and they haven't given any reason why he might like John. John is just blank. And I don't even feel the sexual attraction or sexual chemistry between them in any way because they have to sell it by John constantly telling him "I know what you want" etc. So I just have no clue why they're even doing this.
Then you have Vic who's stalking him because she's desperate for family, which I get but also he's kind of mostly been an asshole to her but that doesn't matter cause he's family and she must have it.
Then you have Mack who they created this animosity between him and John out of thin air for no apparent reason to the point that Lawrence doesn't even know why his character hates John.
And then they have Vic catch them in the barn and then tell everyone so you can have Mack be all weirdly jealous and tell Aaron he deserves better and have Aaron lie to him about still seeing John and lie to Vic because she doesn't want them to date so they won't break up and John won't leave.
And like fine I guess.
But then you do this fire story and have John be the big hero and now Chas is fawning all over him when before she had some minor reservations and you have Mack thanking him for saving his life.
So is Mack still going to be that upset when he finds out Aaron and John are still loosely a thing? I feel like they totally undercut that bit of future drama. I guess he can be upset Aaron lied to him but he's gonna be mad for like one scene and then everyone will move on.
And then is it going to be that dramatic when Vic finds out and has...*checks notes* the exact same reaction as before most likely?
Where is the story?
There isn't one.
And it's not like when Robert and Aaron's affair was discovered and Robert's whole marriage imploded and then eventually he worked his way back to Aaron and they got together properly.
Aaron and John are already basically together?? I guess?? Like there's nothing stopping them. It's not like there's any story in them getting together properly after they're discovered again and everyone has their very tepid reactions?
Sigh.
And then there's the Aiden Moore mystery they threw in there, which everyone has mostly guessed will be someone he lost in the army.
And is that supposed to explain his whole character and why he pushes everyone away? Cause he lost one person in the army?
Stacked up next to the trauma porn king, Aaron Dingle?
John tells Aaron about losing Aiden and Aaron's like "Yeah I can relate" and John's like, "Really, you lost someone too?"
And Aaron's like "Yeah take your pick. You want the boyfriend who got hit by a train and was paralyzed who then made me help him die and then I was on trial for his murder and started self harming? You want the boyfriend who was killed by the local serial killer and then my sister was arrested for it cause she was drinking so much at the time she couldn't remember if she'd killed him? You want that same sister who was then killed in a storm by a falling caravan that I probably could have stopped if I'd told people about my mom having an affair? And that's not even getting into the Robert of it all and what losing him did to me. Or there's you know my whole childhood wrecked by my father abusing me or my traumatic coming out and suicide attempt."
And John's just gonna be there all...
Tumblr media
Just...like...I'm sorry...his little traumatic army past is not going to hold a candle to Aaron's litany of traumas or explain enough why he is the way he is.
And then what...they trauma bond. People find out they're still sleeping together and are vaguely bothered about it for one scene and then they're just...together?
Just what is the point of it all?
Why create all of these obstacles to them being together to then not actually really use any of them?
And then is Oliver going to want to leave in a year and then it's all for nothing anyway?
Sigh....sigh...sigh...

okay top five favorite underrated robron scenes and go
this took me several days to think about lol you have no idea how much i love you rn for letting me info dump about them omfggg i dont know what counts as underrated really i feel like every single scene they have is so well-loved for one reason or another but, i'll happily list some underrated(?) details i noticed on my watchthrough
this will be in no particular order just from what i think of first. god. ok
though its a very very very well known and loved scene (WELL DESERVED) i just love how robert sways with aaron during the reunion scene, like he's trying to do a first dance 2.0 with him to adele all over again. and help jog aaron’s memory about the scene like. Well technically it’s just standing. and then of course they have a flirting banter back and forth EXACTLY like their first dance too. god. wedding parallels kill me always
when aaron goes away to ireland after the gordon stuff comes out but before gordon is charged, the background plot of robert working at the scrapyard for aaron to not only make his life a little easier once he comes back but also working his ass off to have the scrapyard earn MORE money so aaron can be a little more comfortable financially (and pay for legal fees) once he's back too. like. god. 2016 robron forever and ever and ever i would live there 24/7 if i could
the casino las vegas holiday scene where robert has his hands over aaron’s eyes and is leading him to the back room it’s just. sooooooo cute to me but also shows how much aaron trusts robert. and it just makes me happy to be reminded what kids they both are like i truly do believe they have eachother pieces of their childhood back after both of theirs were taken from them :,-) like they can be KIDS together. ugh
the fact that chas picks out the song “can’t take my eyes off you” just kinda confirms that even when robron aren’t on screen all they are doing is staring at and giving heart eyes to each other, so much so that everyone in the village notices that it’s like. constant. and honestly just gonna throw in the whole karaoke scene as a scene i love that’s underrated(? not really), i’m a sucker for karaoke. and it kinda calls back to them being kids with each other
the "you are such a wind-up" scene lives rent free in my head its just sooooo them its SOOOO them, and really shows how much they know each other like aaron is literally saying nothing and robert STILL knows he's trying to rile him up likeee. i think theres a common trend with my fave details/scenes of them both and it's when they allow themselves to be silly / be kids like i cannot state this enough sorry. it just hits sooo good that they not only supported each other through revealing their childhood traumas to the other (robert supporting aaron getting gordon locked up / aaron supporting robert by steering any and all conversation away from jack) like... they can give each other a little piece of childhood glee back like its just so special to meeee
i'd love to know yours if you'd like to list some :-)

We know that sometimes actors have to act plot stupid. And Caleb is a great example of that. The actors playing Ruby and Caleb have shown why they are so well respected in the industry, and of course the same goes for Anthony and Steph. I thought Danny gave a brilliant performance even though he had to pretty much rely on an old SL and some dialogues that won him accolades and awards. It could have sounded jaded and an award season trope and technically there was very little reason for him to be the one confronting Anthony of all people! But Danny being Danny, brought out a different Aaron- the one who was more angry and protective of Ruby (someone in his place) than the scared, vulnerable Aaron who opened up to Robert and his mum.
Each and every person yesterday was on the top of their craft yesterday. So, (and here's the tricky bit) I am hoping so was the actor playing John.
He was too calm for comfort.
The army does not teach its soldiers to clean up because they don't have "crime scenes" (I saw you posted about it too)
And, I can't see any reason for Aaron confronting Anthony unless it was a segway to a Who is John SL.
Since their "romance" doesn't seem to be working, Fauxbert trying to control Aaron in a domestic situation or blackmail him might be an interesting dynamic and even bring back viewers like me, who don't like seeing them together. Ian knows that.
...and of course to state the obvious, no harm if prospects of "the tall one with blonde hair" getting an early release open up and he starts snooping around and sniffs out Aaron's predicament! Don't think many of us would complain 😜
Well Aaron saw Ruby and Anthony argue in the street and (in his own words) recognised that look of fear in her eyes. Plus chas warning him to stay away from Anthony...
But yeah that army comment made no sense and him being so calm and "I'll take care of it", "I work best on my own", "there's not a lot I wouldn't do for you" just gives me the creeps.
I'm not sure they would go down the control road again so soon after Tom and Belle, but I DEFINITELY think Aaron trusting him is going to come back to bite him somehow. I think either John Sugden doesn't exist (nobody ever did a DNA test or looked for other proof and just believed him right away) or he did exist and fauxbert killed him and stole his identity. And Aiden Moore might have been his own name/identity or another victim. And then there is the Nate of it all. Fauxbert was the last person to see him alive, he's only texted once or twice since he "left" (he hasn't even checked in with Tracy about Frankie, when the only goodbye he had was with her) and then conveniently the barn blew up - erasing any evidence that might have been there...
he just has me 👀👀👀 - and if all of this leads to the tall one with the blond hair coming back, that would make me very happy!

*crashes into your ask box* VAMPIRE BOB?! /VPOS
TELL ME TELL ME TELL ME TELL ME TELL—
SORRY I HAVE A SPECIAL INTEREST IN VAMPIRES. HEHEHSG 💥💥💥💥💥
YESYESYES VAMPIRE BOB!!! (Sorry for not answering sooner I fell asleep+had to get ready for school LOL I'm currently writing this on the bus)
A few other characters get bit too! Some don't get turned, and just DIE, but yk
Garcia? BITTEN! Lila? BITTEN! Streber? BITTEN! Kevin? BITTEN! Hatzgang? CLOSE CALL! Jaune? NOT BITTEN, BUT A VERY CLOSE CALL! Patty? BITTEN! Skid + Pump? SEVERAL CLOSE CALLS!
So ummmmMm idk how to start this so here's a basic rundown of everything that happens differently! This is going to be VERY long, I apologize in advance.
PRE-EPISODE 1:
Yk how Garcia and Bob were in that one picture together? Well uh... that picture never got taken! Both because Bob wouldn't show up in it anyway+because Boys & Grills is only open at night now! Then Bob also bit Garcia at some point, but he didn't turn him into a vampire, he just kills+eats him. RIP Garcia, death #1
EPISODE 1: Bob was about to bite Lila, but was distracted by the spooky dance, but before he could get arrested he kinda had an "oh shit" moment when the police walked in, turned into a bat, and flew off. Jack+John were never able to put him in prison or figure out who it was.
For the rest of the episodes until episode 5, Boys & Grills stays open, and Skid and Pump are shown visiting it a few times!
EPISODE 5: Lila gets bit during the chase scene through her house. Bob still got seasoned tho, cuz funny. Jaune hears what happened to Lila and goes to look for Skid, Pump, her son, and the rest of the Hatzgang with Aaron. Lila doesn't join them cuz she's not exactly conscious right now. Sucks to be Lila, person turned into a vampire #1
Then Bob starts going after Skid and Pump. He follows them to the haunted house, Streber gets bitten, his arm gets ripped off, Bob eats it, but he survives, that's it. Yk what happens there /silly. Leon and Ethan call the police. Sucks to be Streber, person turned into a vampire #2
Bob then follows them to the Candy Club, Kevin pulls the candy thing, but Bob doesn't get distracted by the candy! He doesn't like candy in this AU, actually. So, Bob runs over and bites Kevin. Skid and Pump are like "woah so cool, that looks so real!" and run off. Kevin doesn't get turned, and dies, wompwomp. Rick just went back home, so Kevin's body is kinda there for a while until someone notices. RIP Kevin, death #2
Bob would've bitten a member of the Hatzgang, but he was mainly after Skid + Pump because of how he's already bitten Lila (and he also severely dislikes them) and steals their candy for the hide & seek scene. Jaune and Aaron find the Hatzgang, and explain the situation. Carmen shows up and takes Roy home, so Ross and Robert are the only ones that go with them. Everyone in the hatzgang is safe!
Skid and Pump don't get harmed at all in the hide & seek scene. Bob gets hit by a car after they leave the building, like in canon, and everyone gets in the police car. Skid and Pump are safe!
When Bob reaches through the police car window later on to try and stab everyone, he almost bites Jaune. But Aaron pulls her back with everyone else. Jaune is safe!
The rest of the episode plays out like how it does in canon, except Bob isn't actually dead, he's just unconscious. Boys & Grills closes down the next day.
In the secret ending for episode 5, Bob is brought to the morgue, but since he's not actually dead, he finds Patty there. She gets bitten! Jack + John walk in, witnessing the aftermath, and Bob takes off! Now he's in hiding. Sucks to be Patty, person turned into a vampire #3
Uhhhh this ramble is getting WAY TOO LONG but imma put this funny fun fact anyway: Bob is always really nervous around Father Gregor. Father Gregor is always confused as to why, but it's because he has that cross necklace with him everywhere. Bob would kill him, but he can never seem to catch Gregor at a time where he doesn't have his bag of holy weaponry /silly
Oh and Jaune takes care of Skid now
That's pretty much it :3

I’m just confused by the idea that they made such a pointed choice to have Aaron with Robert’s ex husband and apart from like Vic being a bit like wtf, no one cares? Why do that? What was the need for that? Beyond the shock value - what was the long term idea of that? Seems quite similar to when they put Vic and Jacob together for shock value and then just did nothing with it beyond it being controversial and discussed for like 3 episodes. They don’t seem to care about the end goal of things at all because they clearly don’t have an end goal
I don't think they ever think about an 'end goal'. I think they just come up with an initial concept of a story and then just make the rest of it up as they go. I wish I was kidding but I genuinely think that's what they do. Way too many of their storylines end up amounting to absolutely nothing. There is no way this John plot has been thought out. It's a meandering mess of one throw away scene after another. And most of their storylines end up being that way. It's beyond frustrating.

I've made it the eps when it comes out what happened to Katie (right before the Who shot Rob stuff in 2015). There so many scenes where I just want to scream because:
1. Everyone is super quick to believe Rob is guilty solely based on him getting arrested and what Andy said. Yet there's no proof he did anything to Katie and only the fact that he has a history of lying and cheating but lying and cheating doesn't make someone a murderer. I mean if anything Andy is the one who had a known history of violence and causing another person’s death (accidentally).
2. Aaron is talked about (by Chas, Paddy, Cain) like he's super innocent in all of it. Chas: "he did what Robert told him". Uh no he was the one who concocted the whole plan and told Katie to go to Wylie's that had nothing to do with Rob. And no one forced Aaron to stay and cover up what happened to Katie. It's not like Rob had a gun Aaron could have gotten into a car and gone to the police but he didn't.
3. Rob is always treated like the worst. Being called evil etc when so many in the village have done a lot of messed up stuff. Just some episodes before these ones Pete thought he had killed Ross and hid his body in the woods ffs. Yet that is basically forgotten by everyone by this point (besides Ross) and Pete is not looked badly upon by anyone especially not his family. Yet everytime Rob has made a mistake it's like the whole village wants to ostracize him. Not to mention Chas goes to Cain to have Rob taken care of. I love how murder in their eyes is okay so long as it's for the reasons they decide it is.
This is just a pointless rant but I'm dying watching these eps and had to vent. I just want to protect Rob from all of them. 😝 Plus I'm almost to the big scrapyard fight that Robon have 😩 makes for good drama but such a painful scene to watch worse even than the lodge. At least there’s some cute Robron scenes at the end of 2015 (when they work together to help Chas) can’t wait for those.

Thoughts on the soaps
Day 4 - August 29 (started watching this week)
Hollyoaks
Stes got to be kidding me
Mercedes should’ve said that way earlier. Wouldn’t it look weird for Joel to randomly remember he was with Warren for 2 hours that day?
Wait Joel and Abe are brothers? Had no clue
I love Cleo sweater but what’s the temperature there because they all are wearing different weather outfits
John Paul is an idiot
Emmerdale
Wait this ep is longer than the other 3 this week?
Yeah this John & Aaron thing doesn’t work. It’s not Robert. I liked Aaron with Jackson & Alex (I didn’t watch when Ben or any others were on) I understand that the actor who plays Robert isn’t gonna come back so they have to do something but this isn’t it
Why do Caleb and ruby even want jimmy and will’s business?
I’m loving Mack and Aaron together
How did they not hear the door?
I’m obsessed with Mack
Now why would Victoria invite Aaron to lunch with her and John?
What even happened with this Vic & John scene?
I don’t understand John as a character
The doctor sucks 🤣 he never said anything to Moira
John’s attitude makes no sense. Why’s he acting like a teenager?
Why doesn’t will just tell Kim? 🤦‍♀️
Charity 😂 she’s sticks by her people
Eastenders
Jack is a douche
Why is Kobina so mean? George didn’t do anything
The Bernie actress is great
I like kobina now!
Omg is jack serious? He needs slapped

Look it's a soap, of course, John and Aaron will be romantically paired up down the road.
But honestly, I don't care about that relationship. Not because John isn't Robert, it's been several years, and they were gonna pair Aaron up with someone eventually. Especially as he's basically just treading water at the moment and he's the only single gay man in the village they had to bring in someone. Why not make it extra soapy and make it Robert's long-lost, secret, moody, half-brother.
Moving on from all of that because at the moment that doesn't matter.
The only way that this will work in my opinion if Emmerdale invests in a solid sibling relationship between John and Victoria.
John is clearly a messed up, sad, reserved, and closed-off individual. With high walls all around himself and chips on both shoulders.
But can you imagine him with a sweet, feisty, warm, and strong little sister to get him to open up to?
If the show is going to make a big song and dance about a new Sugden in the midst. They need to have the two Sugdens actually interact together. Not only interact, but have a strong, believable, and genuine relationship together.
Plus it will give Victoria something to do with her time too.
So I want to see lots of John and Victoria scenes over any scenes with John and Aaron or John with anyone else.

I don't know why they turned Robert into this serial cheat even with Aaron the one who was written as his soulmate he also cheated on. Katie again who he is wiling give up his entire family for. but guess it shows his cheating issues were not down to his feelings for person but a robert problem. maybe he psychologically damaged by his parents affairs which led down to the break down of the family and eventually losing his mum and then left feeling like the black sheep in his own family while andy the killer was treated as the golden child
Let’s take a look at the early life of Robert Jacob Sugden. He was known to be a lonely child with little to no friends (this was from the coppers who were brought in to find a missing Robert who had run away). The one person he got attached to when he ran away, Derek Simpson, was treating with contempt after Robert returned and soon left the village. He never knew his biological mum and his other mum was burned alive by a boy he himself brought into his family. Both Jack and Sarah cheated and Richie, someone who he looked highly upon, betrayed his trust with Sarah.
His first girlfriend humiliated him when he thought he was finally gonna get his cherry popped. Nicola made sure he saw her and Syd together to get him to stop liking her. Then you have the people he hung out with Scott and Syd which weren’t exactly good role models. All of this tarnished what it meant to trust others and understand what being faithful meant.
Lastly, behind the scenes circumstances didn’t seem to help Robert’s character either. Lucy and her family were written out, Elaine and her family were written out, Katie needed to be written out. All of those factors worked against the character and helped built this bad boy persona the producer wanted to create for him which was carried over to when Ryan took over the role.

Doing a special Aaron post with the spoilers this week, because I have some thoughts... and because it's Robron related as well.
Firstly, when I opened InsideSoap I was a bit shocked there was no article about Aaron opening up about his painful past. Except there was, waay back where they stick the C plot stories, so I am not expecting a lot. ⬇️
Tumblr media
I think the take away here might be that we get a replay of kayak boy unfortunately. Aaron yelled a bit at him about Robert too when the Luke/appeal stuff happened and there was some stormig out as well, I think. In the next scene, Aaron said he would choose kayak boy over Robert if he came back tomorrow (yeah, sure) and they became 'official'. I'm expecting the same to happen here. Especially after reading the metro piece, they are pushing hard to sell things that most people can't see if they squint ⬇️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm expecting the boyfriend word to be used soon. (Which I hope means is because someone is coming home for Christmas and Aaron needs to be in a relationship then, in the eyes of the show.)
Also, what exactly has John learned about Vic? Absolutely nothing on screen, as per. Other than the fact that she sticks her nose in people's business.
We also have the pair on tuesday, as seen here in this picture where they are intimidating Tom together 🙄 Notice how they are lumping him in with the Dingles? Rebuilding the Sugdens... Right! ⬇️
Tumblr media
So that's Aaron's tuesday and wednesday, on thursday he gets caught in the crossfire at another fight, and is hurt. Luckily, hero medic boyfriend-in-waiting is there! ⬇️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On friday, Chas is worried, more likely due to Aaron's injuries than his mental state, like we originally thought. But that's a first that she puts worrying about Aaron over her love life... ⬇️
Tumblr media
Finally, just another reminder that we will find out about Rebecca and Seb soon 🤞 ⬇️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Michael P also mentioned a lot of Mack and Billy in Ross' new plots, where does that leave Aaron, I wonder? Wait, don't answer that...

"it's just one coincidence too many"
You don't say Aaron. Haha.
Sigh...they're writing Plotdale for me again.
So I went back and watched all of the surrounding Aaron scenes from yesterday with Mack and Vic and then watched today's stuff.
I really quite like seeing Aaron have friends for the sake of this plot. So like...that's a positive. I've always thought Danny and Lawerence worked well together and had good friend chemistry. If they could actually stick with the friendship outside of plot specific needs, that would still be really good for both of their characters long term.
Because Mack teasing him about the whole John thing is exactly what the Ben nonsense needed back in 2020/2021. I mean it would not have saved that utterly abysmal attempt at a story but it would have made it slightly more palatable.
And I do like seeing Aaron and Vic having scenes together again.
I also very much liked seeing the garage be a functional set again. I feel like maybe it has been more lately from what I've seen in the spoilers but for so long it really wasn't and so that was also nice.
As for John...I mean...I do feel like he was sort of okay when interacting with everyone else. But he and Aaron just have no chemistry. And I don't really understand what they're trying to do with them. Like I guess...it's supposed to be an enemies to lovers thing maybe??? But there really was just zero reason for him to drive off with Aaron's keys and wallet yesterday. So their hostility towards each other over it just feels empty now.
I mean..what even was that whole little punch/shove thing they had at the end? And I feel like they had them linger close to each other in a threatening manner like it was supposed to be turning them on in the same way the Robron wall slam worked but like...it did not. It was not the same at all. It was just dumb.
And John just feels like another one of those characters that's got a tragic backstory that will come out in one, two months time and be a big deal for two episodes and then somehow that will solve all his problems and then he and Aaron will just magically get together after that and he'll move into the village and none of it will feel earned in any way. That's just the vibe I get. Probably because that's the only kind of story they tell these days and they're all bad.
Because right now he's just unnecessarily hostile to everyone but they can't have him open up and say why yet cause we have to wait for some kind of stupid pointless reveal.
Sigh.
The only time I felt anything in terms of romantic tension was when Aaron learned John was Robert's half brother and she mentioned that Aaron used to be married to Robert. I swear any time Danny gets to be Aaron talking about or thinking about Robert, all of a sudden his acting performance improves. Ryan doesn't even have to be there to elevate his performance. Actually, Danny probably doesn't even have to act. He's probably just like "Wow man I miss Ryan too".
So...yeah...love Aaron having friends. Love seeing the garage be functional. Aaron has way more chemistry with Mack than he does with John, even if it is more friend chemistry than romantic.
Day two...not much improvement on John/Aaron scenes together.
Oh also...just the fact that it took that many coincidences and contrivances to even get Vic to that funeral and place her in John's path...like dear god. Why is this their only way to tell a story???

Duncan has apparently said that there is a big SL coming up for Aaron. Duh! 😉 Of course there is! He has been shooting 16hour shifts and the 2025 Emmerdale promo showed him tossing what looked like a body bag in the river!! 🙆‍♀️ The question is not if there is a sl but what SL.
The SL I want: 1) Aaron is triggered by Anthony, so, he loses it and takes a leaf out of his ex husband's book🔪👩‍🌾 Confesses. Ends up on the IoW. Exclusive special episode on an explosive Robron reunion in prison- fireworks, punches, angst with happy ending. No chance of Chas distraction or threat of Paddy locking him up. OR.
2) Aaron finds out John Sugden is not who he is. They fight, break up or he dies. Aaron sets on a mission to quietly put his family back together.
The SL I think we will get:
1) Aaron is triggered by Anthony. Starts self harming again. Fauxbert and Aaron have a heart-to-heart about Aaron's Dad (which will set him apart from other non Robert bfs). Fauxbert tries but fails to reign Aaron in and Aaron ends up in Anthony's SL in any case and does something rash.
Of all the Robron scenes Emmerdale has replicated with Fauxbert, I wish they had left that reveal scene alone. But alas!
Danny's New Year post about Robron was just a tease. Tbh I wouldn't put much stock into it. We have to accept that the Next Chapter is pretty much them going their own ways and settling in farms on different continents perhaps 🥲 Doesn't mean I won't be clowning though 😉 I can wait until my last breath for a reunion and when I die, I will lobby Satan Down Under to work on the reunion 😂
I don't trust Duncan. I wouldn't even trust him if he was standing right in front of me and told me something I knew was 100% true.
having said that - I do think Aaron will be involved in the Ruby story. But only from the sidelines. A little like Cain now - suspicious of Anthony - but with Aaron it probably won't go any further than that.
I really don't think they'll go back to Aaron self harming. They didn't when he lost Robert, they didn't when he lost Seb - i doubt they'll go there over bloody Anthony and Ruby.
And Fauxbert already knows about gordon - they had this heart to heart in the woods a few weeks ago where Aaron mentioned going camping with gordon or something and fauxbert knew what he was talking about. So supposedly he told him about the abuse *off screen*. Because their relationship is *that* important.
As for Ryan coming back - hope dies last!
(also for a second I thought you mean Down Under as in Australia and I was Very Confused lol)

Btw I’m very new to your blog, could I get a brief intro to your OCs (and their nationalities if they have any 👀)? Just want to keep up with the story BJHB
Oh my goood anon, I love youuu.
However I sadly have like. Over 200 named characters in one and the same universe so it can be quite tricky to give an introduction to them.
I explain the worldbuilding here, though! And within that context also briefly talk about the Irish, the English, the Sicilians.
As I say in the linked ask, I am currently working on the rewrite of the first two main stories, but here's a blurb I've made for the rewrite of story 1, Irish Problems:
Hetalia Human AU/Organized Crime AU. Almost every Hetalia Character is the biggest shark in their nation’s organized crime shark tank & usually supported by two right hands. The story centers on HWS Ireland and HWS Sicily (both OCs of mine).
Two islands, two requests, one weekend: Harry O’Connel is down on his financial luck in Dublin. Michele Vento is looking for partners to pull him out of his isolationist political situation in Sicily. One weekend in Palermo to decide if one hand can’t wash the other. The Irish have the connections Michele wants and the Sicilians have the money Harry needs, but either party had reckoned without an old enemy of theirs. Arthur Kirkland has had his eyes set on Ireland for a long time and the last thing he needs is a quarrelling Sicilian in his neighbourhood. A routine first meeting suddenly turns into a matter of life and death. Will Harry, Michele and their friends work together to save each other or has everything fallen apart and into Arthur’s hands before it even began?
You can also have a link to a beta document of the office scenes, which are the introduction scenes for the English and Sicilian office. (The Irish get introduced in a prior one, but dw, I also listed the context needed for their office scene): The link (You can ignore the feedback questions, bc I do have a lovely beta now, the fantastic @someone-you-do-not-know )
I absolutely SUCK at Intros, not least of all bc yes I could give you an intro for the main Alternate Universe, but I also put these mfers into a lot of other Alternate Universes, so it is hard to sum them up without it feeling like a character existing in a vacuum. But if you wish to see all the forbidden other AUs, you can find them over at @i-centri-degli-universi . If you just want in general to browse my OC blabber more pointedly, you can look for the tag "storie nostre" on my blog. If you are on mobile, just search my blog on it and click the tag on the first post that has it, that way you can ACTUALLY see all the posts I made with it :)
But I can give you a few nationalities and infos for like. A few fuckers that pop up a lot on here:
Harry O'Connel, Sophie O'Connel (Soph is my Northern Ireland OC and Harry's younger sister) and Charlie Higgins, Harry's best friend, are all from Dublin, while Paddy O'Neill is from Derry, which he left at 24. You might also recently have seen me talk a LOT about Aaron, Angus and Kilian recently here bc of my Rake Courtship AU. Aaron O'Connel is Harry's and Soph's father (who died in the main AU timeline in 2009), while Kilian MacLeod and Angus O'Mallry are friends from Paddy's youth in Derry, his best friends. He burnt all bridges with his past in the main AU though and Kilian died in 2005 (iirc) in a car crash ...
We also have Michele Vento and Marco & Lorenzo Bontade, the latter who ran away at 12 from their hometown Bagheria to the nearby Palermo, where Michele is from. He took the twin boys under his wings and they refer to each other as brothers.
Then we have Robert Bailey and Tahir Rashid, two Londoners who are the ruthlessly efficient and yet always bickering right hands to Arthur Kirkland.
If you ever wanna know more about a certain OC, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE just ask, I swear I don't bite :)

I saw Oliver in Corrie and he was fairly decent in that which makes how awful he is as John even more confusing. I don't think it's anything to do with possible PTSD he just has zero personality and neither Oliver or Danny look comfortable in their scenes together imo. This "story" is doing Aaron's character no favours at all. And as others have said, why bother making him a sugden if they are just going to have Aaron not give a toss about him being Roberts brother. It's all just so pointless and odd.
Oh not mentioning Robert at all makes absolutely no sense. What other reason was there for making him a Sugden? If the Robert of it all is irrelevant then there was no point in making him a Sugden. I understand they don't want to make him a big part of anything, apparently, but Aaron not mentioning him at all is ridiculous and awkward. Vic not caring at all is ridiculous. Dear god her character is just god awful. Danny and Oliver have no chemistry. They don't appear comfortable with one another. They don't know how to move in each other's space. It all feels very forced and uncomfortable for everyone, including the audience. I agree that Oliver being terrible has nothing to do with any kind of PTSD story. The acting is just bad.
