What are tattoo symbols on Jo’s arms?

Some are legal terms of the contracts she's bound by, some are credentials for access to different types of occult courts, and some are just cheat sheets so she can remember particularly complicated motions to file. In that story, all magic is contractual, and all contracts are acted in writing, often directly on the person themselves. It's a very condensed and symbolic kind of writing though, so that's what occultists are for.

Roach's neck tattoo is also one of those, as all vampires start off with the yoke of their suzerain and it wears off over time as milestones of emancipation are reached as stipulated in their contract.

I haven't settled yet on a proper design for that symbol system though so the visuals themselves might change in the final comic !

soap slowly realizing that he really won't be enough for ghost, he won't ever amount to what ghost and roach had... the pain he feels when he finds out ghost kind of blames him for it, and he just feels helpless and he understands that's why he just stays away now... No use being aroung ghost and trying to make him happy if he's really not the one ghost wants :((

I saw this, had intentions to respond and then completely forgot about it and I’m so sorry. But!

Soap would be fucking devastated if he ever caught on to the fact that Ghost blamed him for Roach’s death. He’d be beyond heart broken that the man he loved, his best friend, blamed him for something that was beyond their control. Wished that it was him that had died instead of Roach.

And knowing Soap he’d start wishing the same thing cause all he ever wants is Simon’s happiness and his team’s safety. They’re all he has left and it absolutely kills him to know that he’s the reason one of them is hurt, even if it’s not a physical wound.

So he stays away. At first just around base and during missions but he finds himself unconsciously following the man more often than not. He can’t help it really, it was their whole thing before… well. Price has been trying to help him and Ghost get through it in his own way, Gaz sticking by his side and also trying his best.

It’s a bit of a difficult situation tho cause while Gaz and Price can see that Roach’s death was the result of a shit mission, they can’t convince Soap and Ghost of that. And it hurts them to see their friends hurting themselves and each other over something none of them had any control of.

Roach: When he was living out in hiding, he had no one to call - only himself to rely on. Outside of that, though, his closest friend and the person he'd rely on most to help if something happened would be Ghost. The two of them have been through a lot together.

Nikolai: Entirely depends what the situation is. He’ll call whoever suits the situation. Usually, though, it’ll be either Price or Laswell - they’re his two most trusted friends, and they’re good problem solvers too. They know he'd do the exact same for them.

will your muse eat at fast food restaurants? if they’re on a time crunch, what kind of food will they grab?

Roach: Roach will absolutely eat fast food. He's the type to always nab other people's fries when they're not looking. He's more of a nuggets guy than a burger guy, but he'll still eat a burger if it's placed in front of him. Not the pickles though.

Nikolai: Nik prefers to cook for himself, but when he doesn’t have the time or it’s not possible he’ll take whatever he can get. That includes fast food - and this guy eats a lot, so it'll be whatever's the biggest and/or most filling for him.

what are your muse’s biggest fears, and what caused them?

Roach: Fire. He’s had too many encounters with it. First the fire that took his parents, then the one that almost killed him. In both instances it, in some way, also took his voice. He tends to avoid molotovs and explosives, and will always sit a little further away from the campfire.

Nikolai: Not exactly a fear, per se, but Nik is a very paranoid man. Most - if not all - of his work is very secretive and very complicated, so there's always that worry in the back of his mind that someone will be after him. Whether that's for information or revenge, it doesn't matter, because either way he will not be caught unawares and without a weapon on him, or at least nearby.

First off, thank you so much for asking because as amusing as it is to imagine people haphazardly piecing together OC lore through my tags, I didn’t think I’d hook anyone in on that alone. That being said… yes absolutely I’d be thrilled to talk about him! Or anyone I tag for that matter! Apologies if this is a rambling mess because I am... rusty at using words lol

So Roach is a big ol’ goblin creecher and deuteragonist of my most recent brain-worm idea and ‘brain-worm’ is an apt way to describe it because Roach is quintessentially ‘what if you took a bunch of gross, creepy things and made it into the sweetest guy’ and accidentally along the way I realized I was making a Beauty and the Beast-esque story but making it more complex (again) 

The basic setup of his story is this fantastical garden-world of fairies and goblins where society is best summed up as a caricature of pre-revolution French bourgeoisie. While the fairies are ethereal, immortal creatures with butterfly and flower symbolism, goblins are based off rodents with a heavier emphasis on rot and decay. Roach in particular is based off a bat!! His family are the only goblins existing in the world (for lore reasons) and they behave as the antithesis to everything the fairies have going on. 

Roach, despite his bulky, monstrous form (or perhaps because of) is just. So so gentle and kind and full of love for his INCREDIBLY LARGE, REPULSIVE family and has a general appreciation of life and all its little wonders. A romantic at heart!! By fairy standards he’s technically a prince, which he is absolutely not built for.

Which is where the main plot comes in! A fairy socialite called Lavinia is… for lack of a better term, punished into being offered as a bride for him. While intended as a massive insult to the fairy, Roach, appalled, embarrassed, privately offers her a way out of the arrangement. Lavinia, being a creature so spiteful you could cut her and vinegar would pour out, says, “no, we will profit from this”. So the entire story is focused on them conspiring to un-ostracize goblins while navigating a marriage that started off with dubious intent and slowly transforms into a mutual promise to one another. Is it a marriage of political convenience? Is it a real marriage? No one knows and eventually neither do they. 

Tldr; he’s a big ol’ bat critter who is kinda gross but also a massive sweetheart so perhaps it evens out in the end. If I were to visualize him he would look like a Jim Henson puppet. He is everything to me <3
