"Geez, what happened to them?" asks one of their opponents the moment they get there.

And Leo can understand the question. The other Leo has finally come out of his shell, and the picture is not pretty. Since he poked his head out, he and the other Donnie have been impossible to pry apart, and they haven't tried. Leo's old transport chair isn't big enough for two, but they're crammed into it anyway, letting Raph wheel them around. He just seems content to be useful.

"The Krang," says Donnie flatly, when the other two offer absolutely no answer for that. They aren't really paying attention, but the other Donnie must have filled his in on the situation at some point. He keeps calling them "Leo Beta and Donnie Beta" like some kind of nerd.

"Oh," says the older Leo sympathetically. "Do you think... I can talk to them?"

"Knock yourself out," Leo says, and the older Leo nods and approaches the two in the wheelchair, kneeling to talk to them in a low voice. Leo decides not to listen in.

"Hey," says the other Leo his age, the one with only one arm, "didn't we meet before?"

Recognition dawns. "Oh yeah, we did! Right back at the start."

The one-armed Leo grins wide. "Cool! Well, you can call me Poptart, I guess. That one's Sprout," he indicates the older Leo, "and this guy is One." He tosses his arm around One at the introduction, and One wrinkles his snout but doesn't pull away.

"Man, this sucks," he says. "I was hoping for a real challenge this time."

Leo tenses. "Uh, what's that supposed to mean?"

"Isn't it obvious what it means?" One gestures at the twins in the wheelchair. "Those guys are half-dead, and you're-" He stops short, glancing at Poptart.

Leo can feel the preemptive rage rolling of Donnie, but he wheels his chair forward a bit before he can say anything. "I'm what?"

"You were probably trained to fight by that rat too, that's all," One goes with, looking irritated by the whole exchange.

"Heh. You don't look tough." Leo grins wide. "I could beat you sitting down."

(Beside him, Donnie's rage gives way to irritation.)

This gets One's hackles up. "Okay, fine. We'll show you guys!" He turns to leave. "Come on, Poptart, let's go talk strategy."

"No way!" Poptart doesn't make a move. "I want to stay and hang out! We can talk before the match."

"Don't fraternize with the enemy!"

"You're being so dramatic," says Poptart, and without missing a beat he slings his arm around One's shoulder's again, pulling him into a hug that's more of a headlock. One makes a series of furious noises, sounding remarkably like an angry cat, but can't dislodge himself, and Poptart manages to drag him over to join the group.

"Come on! Let's find a spot to sit!"

"These two could do with some more hydration too, I think," said Sprout, standing up and taking Raph's place behind the wheelchair.

"Great!" says Poptart. "Let's visit the snack bar!"

"Sounds great to me!" Leo sings, falling in beside Poptart. He can't help but snicker at the struggling One. "But, uh, is he gonna be okay?"

"Oh, he'll be fine once he gets a snack."

"No!? Don't eat with the enemy!" yells One.

"He's just a little grumpy," Poptart adds, giving him a pout.

"Heh, well, we can fix that!"

"Stop! Let me go! Auuuugh!"

What do you think about the Leicester Alliance? Despite the instability regarding the Riegan house and their heir it seems to me like it's the least fucked up of the three countries

I wanted to make a more detailed reply but I don't think I'll have the time before forgetting it lol

But in general, the Alliance suffers from the FE franchise's lack of interest in what I previously called "merchant republics". Let it be Jugdral's Miletos or Magvel's Carcino, they just exist to be rolled over, sometimes they have "corrupt Nobles (tm)" and that's it.

Leicester seems to be in a similar position, even if, by virtue of being Claude's homeland it would be more developed, right?

Well, no, Claude talks more about Almyra and has stronger ties to that country, so whatever Leicester development or lore we could have is just, three supports here and there about "Corrupt Nobles (tm)", a land where wealth gains more and more importance (Marianne's dad became a member of the council bcs of this iirc?) and where old Houses keep on having an ancestral feud even if it dooms the Republic/Alliance (Gloucester wants to get rid of Riegan, and sacrifices Raph's parents in the process?).

So with the minimum world building we have about the Alliance, I wouldn't say it's the least fucked up, rather it's the less developed, so by extension they feel like they're in a better state than the Kingdom - heavily developed - and Adrestia - which is kind of in a similar boat as the Alliance, but since the content focuses on Enbarr and the War afterwards, it's swept up.

But for what we know,

The Roundtable, before Nopes, was made up of 5 great families and minor nobles, while not sitting, could have their voices heard or at least taken into consideration (as opposed to Clout's Federation).

The Alliance apparently heavily dislike having a central authority or a powerful person ruling over them all... But only 3 minor lords riot when "we bow to no Emperor and to no King" is farted upon by King Clout of the Federation...

Lorenz tells us faith is performative in the Alliance, but some people are devout believers, which leads to no one giving a fuck, in Nopes, about their country going for the kill against the Archbishop.

And more importantly...

In the Alliance, through Raphael and Ignatz, we learn there is a "bourgeoisie" class, people who aren't born nobles or anobled and yet who manage to thrive and, if not for Gloucester Sr's gambit, live quite well, despite the "Crust system!!!!" the scripts hammer.

Leonie is a commoner and is in debt (tfw rl catches up to you in a vg!). Her village pays taxes to their Lord (Gloucester) and in exchange this Lord offers them protection (by hiring Jerry) against poachers - which is both textbook Noblesse Oblige hardbaked in Lorenz's character, but also, some kind of weird example of a system based on feodality - vassal offers an "hommage" to his Lord (here taxes) and in return the Lord protects his vassal - with the twist that Leonie's dad isn't a knight or a feudal vassal (afaik?).

Also, from the unused trading post data, Riegan should have been famous for its factories?

In a way, it feels like Leicester's organisation could have been something very interesting to explore - it's completely at odds with the Empire and the Kingdom and much more fragmented - but as usual, the FE series don't really develop those "kingless" factions...

And of course, they couldn't develop the "merchant nation" more else the "Church BaD bcs IsOlAtIoNiSm" falls apart or the "Crust SyStEm" argument as to why Supreme Leader has to change the world falls too, Edmund sr is at the roundtable despite having no crest, the Ordelias never were at this roundtable despite having a crest (iirc?), Judith is a Hero of Leicester and has no Crust, Holst is beloved by the world and has no Crust, despite having no Crust Ignatz's parents are implied to be rich as fuck and living the best life, crustless!Leonie and her entire village are helped by the "nobility system" Supreme Leader vowed to erase, etc etc.

Acknowledging Leicester's existence as something more than "that place Clout and some people hail from" blows so many holes in the leitmotiv of the war - thus the twist "you should feel bad for fighting your former student" - that the writers, imo, prefered not to shed any light no it (+ the context with merchant republics!) that it's no surprising the few crumbs we have aren't developped.

And before Nopes, the Alliance was the only slither free place, so all the "bad stuff" that happened, like Raph's parents, can be blamed on regular people and not "they were brainwashed!!". Ordelia's a different situation, I know a lot of people support the "Lys got her present because crust system", but I always have doubts - Lys got her "present" because Adrestia (Ionius) believed they could infringe on Leicester's territory, and the Agarthans needed to test their "present making" before gifting one to the Hresvelgs.

With Nopes, the Alliance disappears under a King with no fanfare, some people follow Clout, they dgaf about the Church, and that's it. It's just a blank cardbox, removed of the few crumbs that made it different from the other cardboxes.

I realized I hadn’t updated about my new bromide situation and since I made a big deal of all my decorating with the Wall O’ Bromides, here’s where I’m at now!

So the stack of non-DMMd bromides I had was getting out of control. Mainly because Allen (Kohatsu, Koujaku’s actor) was also in two Gekidan Shining plays, Joker Trap and Pirates of the Frontier, along with special revue shows for the Gekishai universe, and so many bromides came out for those. Also, I started picking up bromides of him as Edgeworth in one of the Phoenix Wright plays; he was Adam in the SK8 plays, so I overindulged there, and of course there are some gorgeous ones that went along with various promo things he did. Then I developed a thing for Ryunosuke Matsumura, who plays Tokiya in Joker Trap and Polaris and is so good and basically he’s my RL Tokiya, and there’s a ton of bromides out for him too. So there was just a huge pile of bromides sitting on my desk that I wasn’t even looking at, and I was afraid of losing track of them or just flat out losing them.

I grabbed these plastic display sheets, which are usually for postcards but work perfectly for this situation, as well as a 6-ring A5 binder. There are spaces on both sides so you can easily arrange whatever you’re displaying in the front and back, and because there’s only four to a page it makes it very convenient to rearrange. Which is a bonus for me as Suruga-ya has become a monthly visit for me. (don’t look at my cart or the 35 bromides in it right now shut up don’t look at me)

Finally, I took down the framed DMMd bromides and arranged them all in here as well. This actually turned out to be fortuitous given I’m going to be packing and moving soon, but also works out because I have extra pages for when the new DMMd bromides start coming in. I’ve already bought a couple because Raph is a bad influence.

Anyway this is my setup now and it’s a lot more convenient and easy to deal with. I love having everything in one place and knowing where it all is, and looking through it whenever I feel like.

So imma start with this disclaimer these are things that will effect and determine answers.

Rise Rapheal

Raphael is an alligator snapping turtle he has a pretty small window of a mating cycle, meaning he's the most in the mood from late spring to early summer. For this version of Raphael he dose tend to get a bit bit but ya gotta remember Raph active worries about hurting his family alone so despite that he dosent bite hard it far more these soft lottle nibbles he's giving to yvoones shoulders at best. Normally, with another turtle, it is the top of their shell. Yvoone has those little feather like things on her shoulders when Raphs goes through his heat he tends to like naw on those the most. Now alligator snapping turtles actually don't make that much noise and chances are theu don't really churr I just let him cause it's cute. So raph doesn't use any sounds himself ots mostly thos bitting habit. Raph is a bit shy as well, so he likely nuzzles in against her neck, small nibbles to it using his deeper tone to say her name he knows she likes that after all.

Alligator snapping turtle funnily enough are very isolated turtles and spend a lot of time alone. Raph however os not like his speices in this way so that dosent factor into a chanhe behavior when it comes time for his Mating cycle.

2012 Raphael *so the best answer on what kind they are that I go with is from something Donatello says in that he thinks they may be Daimondback Terrapin and the shells lottle similar to me so that what this raph is.

Soooo daimond backs are hoes X'D raphs mating cycle is in may so once again spring primarily at night which works for someone who lives a nocturnal life style. Raph can be relentless in his attempts to mate, which sometimes results in aggression. And raph already aggressive, so it more he becomes far more bold in his advances on Casey.

Diamondbacks do have mating calls and such so raph definitely is making this chirp sound when he and casey are making out. He's moving to Casey's lap, or to take top, or he's using his strength to pin casey to a wall suddenly or loft them up. Raph not normally this aggressive in his advances. kissing them chirping, biting at their neck hard not a dangerous bite and churrs against thier neck. Mostly cause Casey likes to get bitten the churr thing is something raph just likes to do to casey any way mostly to mess with them.

2003/2007 Raph *03 was adaption of the mirage comics where the turtles are said to be red eye sliders so that where I'm going with this Raphael. Their mating cycle is from March to june sooo he gots a bit of a good window there. Raph is a bit of a dork when it comes to relationships. So he very bad at making it clear when he is going through that cycle. For one red sliders are know for touchingg the face of a mate they find attractive. Raph isn't afraid to touch Casey but I feel when he starts goingg into his cycle he'll suddenly start grabbing casey face more and to make it worse I feel this is when he's openly telling casey how he loves their eyes, or tells them they are amazing unprompted and this is Raph he has a hard time with the more romance so this should be the first clue but likes face it Casey likely not to get the hint XD They also just touch a mates face. What i'm saying is Raph can be bad at romance hes a great flirt and hes good with the phsycial expressing his emotions is so hard because of how he sort has set himself to be this tough strong guy and emotions get in the way of that. So when he starts feeling that heat he kind of forgets himself and becomes far more affectionate towards Casey. Red sliders are also pretty aggressive but I mean Raph is as well already and Casey has delt with him being demanding during sex its likely the more open affection that stands out here for Raph. Nuzzling in against Casey's next, ofc bitting turtles just like to bite what can I say. Red sliders are also fucking loud during sex this isn't just a heat cycle thing Raph just gonna maybe let things slip in the cycle since hes all hot and bothered and stating Casey is his mate at the moment. And yes if Casey says anything about how he acted Raphs running away XD just takes off for a fucking week to wherever he can pfft

Rise Donnie:

Soft shells turtles are a bit different compared to most when it comes to this. Which also fits how Donnie is, donnie has to be the one to initiate. Don just isn't all that great which physical touch unless he is the one initiating it either. He's not against it being the other way around but he's gotta be in the right mind set.

When he is in his cycle though it's pretty obvious because he far more touchy far more wanting to be around his partner for general affection he doesn't nuzzle he more nudges his head against them. Donnies got a pretty low libo so its very easy to understand what he is doing suddenly.

Mikey:

Ill be honest I haven't thought about him in this way XD like outside mentions on 2003 and 2012 raph on habits he might share? I just don't have much thought at this time on Mikey. I do have a ship for him but i haven't devolved it much atm so for now just know Mikey likely has the biggest shift in character when he gets in his own cycle. Mostly he just gets a bit aggressive not much but for mikey its a noticeable change.
