Наконец-то я ее поймала! На быстрой реке, огромную зубастую щуку весом почти 8 кг и длиной 100 см! Я думала, что не справлюсь, сломается спиннинг, она заведет в коряги или просто сойдет...но у меня получилось и запомню это момент на всю жизнь! Простой будний день, я на воде в своем каяке. 

Сперва решила сделать ставки на резину, однако характер реки и места заставляли то и дело менять приманки в поисках рабочей. Сработала простая серебристая блесна. Поводок флюорокарбон 0.4 мм. Спиннинг CF Arion в росте 2.44. Поклевка была ожидаемой и, уже при монтаже видео, я увидела, как на предшествующих поклевке забросах щука пыталась атаковать приманку, создавая огромную волну против течения. 

Мне повезло, что я не стаяла в траве, а не на якоре и трофейная щука повезла меня вниз по течению, пытаясь раскрутить  в разные стороны лодку, летая под ней и открывая пасть с надеждой сойти. На берегу оказался рыбак, который помог взвесить добычу - 7.84 кг завесила щука. 

 После поимки хищника, я решила существенно сократить путь своего сплава, однако и на следующем участке реки снова и снова получила поклевки! Закончился день походной баней и вкусным ужиным на сковороде из диска бороны. Всем приятного просмотра и ни хвоста ни чешуи!

This was a memorable fish on a dry fly. It really shows how good the smaller rivers on the Tweed system are. I spent a lot of time waiting and planning its capture and after a spectacular battle it took off like rocket back to its element. I can’t put into words how rewarding this day was. I love crawling around in undergrowth like a loony and walking 12,000 steps for moments like this. The giant snakehead (Channa micropeltes) is a predatory freshwater fish native to Southeast Asia. This species is characterized by its elongated body and sharp teeth. Known for being aggressive and highly territorial, giant snakeheads thrive in various freshwater habitats, including rivers, lakes, and swamps. Cool fact, they can survive in low-oxygen environments and have the ability to breathe air, allowing them to move short distances on land.

I've been rediscovering my love for fishing over the past couple of months. I think I'm going to start keeping track of some of my catches on here. We'll see how it goes.

2. Redbreast Sunfish

3. Green Sunfish (smol guy)

4. Redbreast Sunfish II

5. Channel Catfish

The catfish was 14" and is my biggest catch thus far. It was also a nice break from all the panfish I seem to have a knack for catching.

In grim conditions cloudless sky and a biting easterly, I found this trout in an unlikely spot.
